Stories From The City, Stories From The Sea
PJ HarveyWhat a great album, the rock the softness in parts, surprise Thom Yorke, I really had a fun time and will be back again.
What a great album, the rock the softness in parts, surprise Thom Yorke, I really had a fun time and will be back again.
The pure nostalgic joy washes over you as your transported to a northern winter wonderland replete with backing foley of bells and clopping horses, sure very seasonal but it is a must listen every christmas season. Favourite tracks are the classics The Ronettes - Sleigh Ride and Darlene Love - Christmas.
A hip-hop acid trip, well I did have a smile on my face for the whole album so there is that. I liked the weird themes and off the wall humour and lyrics, I enjoyed the old school beats and scratching. Most of the album is going on a playlist to listen to again. Favourite tracks 3000, No Awareness, Technical difficulties.
It sounded ok I guess, didn't connect with it though and won't be back. Seems like a waste of my time to give it a longer review.
A mix between Eminem's "Stan" and some random knob down the local pub who doesn't know when to shut the fuck up, he is constantly babbling as if anyone gives a shit about the inane bullshit he spouts that no one gives zero fucks about. "Yeah people want to hear this" he thinks in his head like an absolute twat he is.
Great dark theatrical themes, storytelling and mood. would listen again. highlight track run for the hills.
An eclectic dream of times gone by. liberal use of vocoder and jazzy inspired tunes that wouldn't be amiss in a 60's heist film, they ooze chill from every pore. would listen again Favourite tracks Kelly watch the stars and All I need.
Old-school sound with some newer production coming from the hip-hop pedigree of A tribe called quest. The album has some great samples of older soul tracks which mesh together nicely with his lyrics. A few tracks have featured female vocals such as Norah jones which positively added to the variety. Favourite track Shaka
Lyrically diverse but inane, and tonally monotone stories as interesting as reading the ingredients list on a bottle of head and shoulders shampoo. The singer mumbles his way through the tracks such that he's on his 15th jack and coke of the night , nick almost seems uninterested in singing as much as he makes me uninterested in listing. may have been ground breaking for the time but more effort was exerted by myself trying to stay awake than he was making me feel. Not likely to listen to again best track was my snoring.
Though I love Otis's voice I cant help but feel a bit uninspired with "Otis goes to karaoke" What this album inspires me to do is listen to the originals as they are much better favourite track You don't miss your water.
This album gives impressions of other much better albums that you could be listening to. Soft lilting tunes are more interesting when it's not one or two lines repeated for four minutes and thirty one seconds. Do yourself a favour and just listen to the Beach boys or Sarah Blasko. Favourite track - not sure it all sounded like one track. not horrible but ends up just being there not grabbing your attention.
Not as good as Moon Safari to my liking, very prog in most parts except the short track times. Interesting, more so If you imbibe in other recreational substances. Most likely not to listen to again. Favourite tracks Playground Love and Suicide Underground.
A sweeter soul has never been in the music industry, Dolly comes out with a collection of knee tappers and a few heart felt tunes and one in "Here I am" that borders on soul music. Her voice in unmistakeable and inviting. Would listen to again. favourite tracks My Blue Tears, Early Morning Breeze, Here I Am.
A beautiful homage to Daft Punk from this french duo with funky beats and head bobbing tracks including the familiar "D.A.N.C.E" an enjoyable romp would listen to again. Favourite tracks D.A.N.C.E and Phantom Pt II
Charming folk album with familiar tracks such as House of the rising sun and Girl "Man" of constant Sorrow. Her voice wouldn't feel out of place with medieval instrumentation it's very timeless and ethereal though I wouldn't really go back to listen to the album again I appreciate her talent - favourite track - Wildwood Flower
There aren't too many 70's rock hits bigger than the opening banger than More than a feeling, the album changes slightly and throws in odd prog tracks like foreplay with its outerspace like instrumentals. classic rock sound and even better when you know he did it all himself. worth a listen. Favourite track other than More than a feeling and foreplay was Smokin.
Simple repetitive beats with the occasional basic affirming message which sounded more self help than fight the power, obviously not aimed at me and thats fine but came for a meal and all I got was a snack. Not convinced to listen again. Favourite track Row but wasnt too clear on the lyrics.
Musically interesting and enjoyable but brought down by the vocal caterwalling is the closest I can describe though I guess that was en vogue for post punk groups. Might liaten to the favourite tracks again. Favourite tracks Marquee moon and Friction.
Came in with Overwhelming expectations and have come away pretty whelmed, I have never listened to one of their albums and can see that other than the two hits and a couple of other songs that engaged my interest the rest wasn't to my taste. Other than the hits my favourite tracks were New Genius and Latin Simone.
Fairly varied in tone and beats. I'm not knowledgeable enough in the genre to be a great critic but some themes didn't resonate with me but I did hear some good rhymes and flow. Would listen to a few tracks again. Favourite tracks Gasoline Dreams and Bombs over Baghdad.
Great album with little dead weight short and snappy songs show why they were and still are one of the best bands of all time, as with all Beatles albums I wish George helped more with the lyrics as he was under-utilised as a writer. Would definitely listen again. Favourite tracks Norwegian Wood and In my life.
Silky and smooth, like a person doused in oil sent down a slip'N'slide into a giant teflon pan only to get poured out onto a beauticians table and get a complete Brazilian. But smoothness can only get you so far as the tracks were nice but none were great, including a tepid cover of I Heard It Through the Grapevine that meanders through the lyrics without much passion and contrasts with the other songs on the album. Would probably give this miss and listen to something else. Favourite track Cloud Nine.
The mix sounds like she's softly serenading me in a gym toilet. More of a background music album, Sort of feels like a proto Lana del ray. Very nice voice just didn't catch my ear. Favourite track - I Don't Wanna Talk About It Now and Tragedy (loved the harmonies)
A pleasant album, obviously not the normal fair they are known for more soft and introspective, they still were experimenting after Pet Sounds it seems and its a great album to just chill out to. Favourite tracks Long Promised Road and Feel Flows (Absolute top track).
What can you say about this album that hasn't been cried out in ecstasy in the throws of passion, entwined entities connected not knowing where one person begins and other ends. A grand statement in the alternative scene with one of the most unique voices in music belting out a plethora of head banging ditties. Would listen to this album again and again. Favourite tracks Jane Says and Ocean Size.
Many a night was spent listening to this gem, making you feel the angst of a still mourning Dave Grohl on his new pet project. I instantly fell in love and it's an affair that has lasted about half my life and will endure as one of the all time greatest albums. I can't name a favourite song as the songs belong in place as a whole, any removal or piecemeal consumption would create diminishment.
The genius and the sheer size of Johnny Cash's balls for having the brilliant idea to record live in front of some at the worst degenerates, not only that but stacking the track list with a dark repertoire of gallows humour jail songs is inspired. Would listen again. Favourite tracks - Folsom Prison Blues/Cocaine Blues and Jackson.
Dada-esk in it's stream of conscious surrealist rap, a teething ring for millennials to be desensitised to the world , good thing too as the years since then the world has seen some shit and no way we could raw dog life like that without some sort of mind deadening. Liked but would have to be a while before I would listen to again. Favourite track - If I had
There is before In a silent way where your mind doesn't drift into the Smokey haze of an underground speakeasy dimly lit, the occasional clink of a glass from the bar behind you, and then there is after In a silent way where you are now cooler just from having been blessed by his majesty. Would most certainly listen to this again favourite tracks - Shhh (Reprise) and It's About That Time
Hey, have you ever wanted to hear a man with a giant mouth shout into a tin can? Well I've got good news for you!. Steve Tyler is so far back in the mix he's in the fucking car lot out the back of the studio grinding the air next to the homeless man that has soiled himself, but that's just the version I listened to. Might give it a listen again on a better format to see, Liked about half the album, but the others weren't bad just didn't grab me. Favourite tracks Walk this way, Big Ten Inch Record and Sweet Emotion.
The best gritty swamp rock that came out of Berkley California for sure. They had a theme and went with it, what is musical cosplay called anyway? Either way they are classic for a reason. Normal favourites Born On The Bayou, Good Golly Miss Molly and Proud Mary but a new favourite in Graveyard train for the dirty harmonica. Will listen to again, makes me want to get a pair of alligator boots.
Listening to this album was like gardening, it's a bit of a chore but pleasant and your gladish to had done it. very quick tunes over some nice blues riffs, playlisted a couple of songs but won't be coming back to a whole album visit. Favourite track Over Under Sideways Down, He's Always there
Flaccid like the air had been let out of a young ones party balloon, a tear rolls down their eye as the dream of what could have been is sent into the aether, what had been the prospect of a whimsical time spent listening to this album turned into a bit of a dud as no interest was had on my part to consume this. Have already forgotten it.
No idea what was being said but I still enjoyed the music, I've saved a few into a world playlist, don't think I'll listen to it as a whole again but I had fun listening. Favourite track The click song.
I cant understand 90% of what they are singing about most of the time, doesn't stop me from vibing to the aggression. Saved a few songs but more likely to listen to Toxicity Favourite tracks Sugar, Spiders
Mostly energetic but fairly samey, didn't connect except for a few songs Favourite track - Wake up.
Obviously I didn't know what I was getting myself into when starting this gem, they really packed some heavy hitters in there it was like a Chris Brown convention. A perfect slice of folk rockabilly with a number of decade defining anthems. Favourite Tracks - Lookin' Out My Back Door, Run Through The Jungle, Who'll Stop The Rain, Heard It Through The Grape Vine
Mid level album, interesting for a single listen, a few well done covers and a few interesting originals that are 80's staples. Favourite tracks WELCOME TO THE PLEASUREDOME, Relax, Two Tribes.
A fun and quick little trip into the summer of love, no major bangers but its a fun time no doubt. Would listen to again. Favourite tracks - You just may be the one, Sunny Girlfriend, No Time.
Chill out grooves, not horrible but nothing ground breaking or rememberable to come back to. Favourite track - Connected
Only loved the two favourites, otherwise it was an ok album nothing to knock your socks off or bring you back for second breakfast. Favourite tracks - One way or another, Heart of glass.
If Mick Jagger thinks you did "Dirty" better then you are doing something right, It obviously sounds very much in the vein of the Rolling stones but I enjoy the energy and a strong showing for the first time hearing the band. Favourite tracks- High flyin' baby, Have you seen my baby, Teenage Head
An energising and driving punk album, it has those early days bunk vibes like The Clash that I love. Never heard of these guys but will be added to the list of re-listens for sure. Favourite tracks - One Chord Wonders, On the Roof, No time to be 21.
Is this guy's name Marsh because this fellow sure is mellow, groovy bossa nova sound eagerly pulls you on a smooth journey with a smile on your face the whole time, The album will now sit in my must listens for jazz. Favourite tracks Desafinado and One note samba
Reading the Wiki one might think that you would be on the yellow brick road to audio nirvana not plodding into some sparse English flat in 91 the only yellow here is a brummy git named Steve who has pissed himself on the couch after shooting too much golden brown between his toes. Just like Steve I won't be back.
Great instrument work, but found it hard to understand the lyrics clearly so lessened the enjoyment overall. Had moments of sounding like their cotemporaries like Metallica and Guns and Roses Favourite Tracks Poison was the cure, Lucretia
Quite a nice album, a few songs going on playlists. No major big hitters but some groovy tunes to be had. Not the best I've heard from the band though. Favourite tracks Razor Boy, Pearl of the quarter
For the most part its a broad expansive sombre album, with lyrics like a café hosting poetry night. I feel like I haven't grasped the true meaning and feeling but that's ok, it's not for me but I appreciate the artistry he was going for. Favourite tracks Waiting for You, Leviathan.
One thing you can't be after listening to a Muse album is not pumped, I may have to see the fuse box because I've just been amped. Muse take you through all the feelings as you go from soft and delicate to hard drums that make your legs hurt from trying to copy the drum fills, they venture from classical to latin horns to a synth Queen rock hybrid baby's that make you phase out of time and space and drift back down for more. Will always come back for more. Favourite tracks Starlight, Assassin, Knights of Cydonia.
It is physically imposable to be upset while listening to Samba, your body will not allow such a thing and move to the music anyway. A great album filled with beautiful drums and horns and a sexy latin style, not that I know what they are saying but who cares it's the whole vibe that makes it transcend langauage. Favourite track Plástico
You can see them musically experimenting here on this album and like some experiments they turn into Frankenstein's monster complete with angry villagers with torches and pitch forks hunting it down for the abomination it is, in other words I thought it was poo.
Got to hand it to the drummer he never gave up when life gave them lemons they made some pretty sweet lemonade, I can see the teased blonde hair and unfathomed tight trouser bulges from here, would absolutely give a solid thumb up . Favourite tracks Rocket, Pour some sugar on me, Armageddon It
Buckle up you chuckle fucks we are headed down to the fifth layer of hell as we experience anger in music form. Normally I like jazz but not in the context of being held captive in the sunny resort town of Guantanamo Bay in the off season. I can only imagine the sort of people who would intentionally subject themselves to this with enjoyment would own an assortment of gimp masks and the number one item on their to-do list is a bit of dick and ball torture.
Definitely had me bopping away and raving in my loungeroom while drinking out of a goon bag and canned beer. Not as good as The Fat Of The Land but scratches that techno itch, Might listen again if i'm in the mood again. Favourite tracks - Their Law, Voodoo People
Just a very middle of the road album apart from a few gems, better off just putting those on a playlist and saving your time some nice jazz bits in Sad old Red and Holding back the years. Overall a background album but a waste of time on this list for one song.
If ever I was asked the music equivalent to beige it would be this album. I really struggled and lost that struggle at times to pay attention to this, finding out the weather forecast for tomorrow was a much more gripping affair. I won't be returning.
Some nice tracks here nothing fantastic but a nice listen, will save a few songs on a hip hop playlist but won't be back to listen to as a whole. Favourite tracks Sacrifice, The Seed
A pleasant journey into African folk music, can't say I've listened to the genre outside a lion based disney movie but it's for sure relaxing and I do like the use of clicks. Have saved a bunch for the world playlist but might come back to relax. Favourite tracks Unomathemba, Yibo Labo
Sure it sounds ok but it's just dollar store Bowie and if I have the time why wouldn't I just listen to the original not the knock off product. I guess I know the reason I have never heard of them before and I doubt I'll seek them out again.
Short and sweet at just over 25min long, not must experience with the genre but it's very lively and a good head bob and involuntary feet movement are inevitable, Good jazz moments for the sax and an over all good time, this goes on my world playlist for sure.
Was it an interesting idea? Yes. Did it make me feel like I was hold while calling a bank? Also yes. Would I listen to it again? No. Can appreciate the history with movie sound tracks and academy awards but it's little more than elevator muzak in the end, until it got to track 14.
In my years I had a pre-conceived notion that I had an eversion to prog, maybe I did at a younger age and over the years I've come to love a lot of jazz so maybe my tastes have changed over time and now I can sit back and enjoy the quirks of King Crimson more fully because I quite enjoyed this experience. Would listen to again. Favourite tracks - 21st Century Schizoid Man, Epitaph
Mostly inoffensive indie rock, I hear and I assume it's trying to sell me a Honda accord as it weaves its way around a non descript California coastline road. Parts sounded heavily like Bob Dylan and I don't have the benefit of being able to turn off any hearing aids so I had to slog through those ones for sure. Overall nice but I won't be back.
A real crotch rocket of a banger-fest we have on our hands with this one, packed to the gills with pure 80's hair metal and gold plated bona-fide rock god classics with You Give Love a Bad Name, Livin' On A Prayer and Wanted, Dead or Alive. Want something to rock out to and smash a couple of jack and cokes this is the fucking ticket to ride. Would listen to again for sure.
An ok album with some funky little songs, such as Kinky Afro, Loose Fit, wouldn't listen to it as a whole again, I enjoy the early 90's synth feel.
Haven't listened to much country but this was a lovely addition to the country playlist, very charming, and the use of the mandolins and slide guitar helped it out a lot. I'm definitely finding more country I really enjoy . Favourite Tracks - Love At The Five And Dime, St. Olav's Gate
Nice album but I didn't connect with it, not sure what it is, the simple paired back music, the off kilter way she sings but it's not for me and there wasn't a song that I wish to listen to again. It it me? No it's the kids who are wrong!
If I ever make a playlist of background music I would think really hard and maybe consider contemplating it. The music equivalent to a participation trophy, they give me vibes of taking themselves too seriously but without the talent. I can see them saying "Don't you know who I am!" as they try and get a discount on a large buttered popcorn at the local cinema.
Great old school hip hop, great samples and basslines , rhymes are good and I really enjoy the scratching. Not too sure if it was just a product of the time but I don't recall any foul language, not a plus or minus just wondering. Favourite tracks - Step In The Arena, Take a rest, As I Read My S-A
A great little jazz album, though times it felt it was crossing over to blues territory and we were just waiting for the raspy voice to slide in. I loved the organ and sax and the occasional drum and guitar focus. Have placed all songs in a 60's and a Jazz playlist, as the album deserves to be listened to again. Favourite track Back at the Chicken Shack
Sometimes you hear an album that makes you feel it's like something you like but you just don't vibe with it, this is one of those for me. It reminded me of a parody NWA album, why wouldn't I just listen to NWA and enjoy myself.
Loved the music, found it hard to understand the lyrics. Pretended it was Robert Johnson and just went with it. My first Rolling Stones album and was a little disappointed I can't lie, you hear so many Rolling Stones songs and I thought They were all pure gold but I guess not. Favourite track - Shake your hips.
Frenetic energy pulls you in and gets you down and dirty in the pits of sweat and a pool of unknown bodily juices on the floor. Animalistic songmanship which I normally would count as a a downside but Iggy's raw magnetism weaves his voodoo he doo so well and puts you into a psychedelic trance as you bliss out and groove to the music, far out. Favourite tracks Down on the Street, T.V. Eye,1970
Starts of very dance night at the us army officer's club with some pretty dames with swell gams, it's a step up from boogie woogie bugle boy from company B but doesn't have the same feel to Davis's later works. Then a few songs in it smooths out and we hear some good tracks with Moon Dream and Venus de Milo, nothing amazing but a nice listen.
Didn't know what to think when I saw two whole sided tracks but they shredded my face enough that has put me in my place to ever think the Allman Brothers could let me down. Duane fingers with aplomb like a young guy taking a girl to the movies on a date but they aren't really there for the movie. Whole album goes into my rock playlist for a future listen favourite tracks Statesboro Blues, Hot Lanta, Whipping Post
Hard hitting kings of thrash are at it again with this pearler of a album. Noise with a message as it hits your eardrums that is so anti war it looks like it is putting bouquets in tank gun barrels while wearing a Tiananmen square t-shirts. A true metal classic and worth multiple listens and is going straight into my metal playlist. Favourite tracks - Master of puppets, Disposable Heroes
A great mix of country, rock, and psychedelics that's bring this album to a satisfying whole. Never heard of this band before but I rate it quite highly, I enjoyed the whole album and it's going into my country playlist for more listens. Favourite Tracks - Christine's tune, Hot burrito #2
Synthy bubble bum pop that's about as catchy as you think sugar is to 5 year-olds, As the tracks roll on you just hear catchy hits like they were going full tilt on a cash printing machine , Though the lyrics are mostly notably about breakups and yah girl boss themes ,you wouldn't expect much else from the genre I guess. A great album filled with hits- Favourite tracks - Blank Space, Wildest Dreams
To me not a top tier album but a solid 7 nonetheless is a grooving bit of a weird hybrid of rock, country and blues. Ronnie woods guitar work on some tracks was really fun especially the slide guitar. Favourite tracks - Every Picture Tells A Story
Songs from a room, a small room with a seemingly uninterested man plodding his way through my life wasting my time with beige music. Thank you for showing the lows so I may at a later time experience the highs by contrast. I'm sure someone out there loves this, I'm happy for them but I'm just counting down the time till this is done.
The wiki is having someone quoted as saying this is considered his best album, and I'm sure his mother thinks he's very handsome too but reality thinks otherwise and we are left with a tone deaf git who pretended he was from Essex. Won't be giving this another thought as I hope for a better album next time.
RHCP bust through with an album of the sexiest funk, so much so you could lay a rail line across the us with all the hip thrusting this album promoted. A true classic and worthy to be included In such a list. Favourite tracks - Breaking the girl, Under The Bridge
I started listening and then it was over, A pure background album, a beautiful time spent not having it grab my attention one bit. Strangers in the night exchanging glances but never thinking of one another again. And what's up with the pantomime accent Bruce you're from Jersey.
I would imagine there would be more tonally rewarding experiences in a house which was haunted, Waiting for those dulcet moans from beyond the grave giving me a richer experience than what was had here. Is Art Rock just an excuse to sing off key and as mundane as you can . Not for me
A great example of the garage punk revival, quick fast song with attitude, a little helping of distortion as well to push me into full blown nostalgia mode . Never heard this one at the time but I like it now as I'm sure I would have then. Favourite track Date with the Night
That's baby making music right there! A smooth soul experience bound to make you super uncomfortable in front of your parents or maybe not, I don't know your life. A nice listen but no bangers outside "Lets get it on" which is worth the price of admission either way.
Such a powerful introduction as the new lead singer of this great band. Like a stocking stuffed on Christmas day It's jammed full of presents and us kiddies have been good this year and Santa has delivered the goods with this smorgasbord of rock for us to feast. Iconic album loved every minute.
Solid levels of angst in this one I can almost hear my young self screaming "You don't understand Mum!" as I slam the door and fling my self on my single bed and look up at my movie poster of The Crow thinking having to take out the rubbish was the epitome of war crimes, You stupid little shit. Lots of memories here, though I think I listened to Ignition more as an album there are the hits on here that got so much play back in the day. Still can't hear an Offspring song without thinking of crazy taxi though.
Toad lickingly face melting entry into the album with Combination of the Two which I remember fondly from the Fear and Loathing soundtrack. Janis has the grit and soul to bring this sucker home and make a two pack a day smokers throat feel sore. Really good album.
Oh nostalgia you got me again you filthy bitch, But I'll take it gladly and milk it dry with both hands. One of my all time favourite albums, great energy and I love the guitar and bass sound, Too bad he moved away from the Sheffield accent but we always have this beauty.
Nothing really grabbed me , not horrible my any mean but also not worth paying attention to. good background music but hardly in top album lists. Couldn't be more middle if it tried.
A nice listen but not to the same level as their earlier albums Kashmir not withstanding. It felt a bit disjointed and cobbled together a Frankenstein's monster if you will. Not likely to listen to this whole album again for a long time.
A good background album of solid rock songs. a few quite good songs to save to playlists. 'Seeing Things' gave me a good feeling of Joe Cocker which I liked and Favourite track of course is Hard to handle.
For the most part it was a nice example of the genre with it's own quirks which keep it interesting with Aumg and a few other parts it carries it into a bad acid trip in the making, it does well with its inspiration of Aleister Crowley and the occult. I saved a few tracks into a playlist others I'll relive in my nightmares and discuss with my therapist in years to come.
It sounded ok I guess, didn't connect with it though and won't be back. Seems like a waste of my time to give it a longer review.
With a straight up feeling of a 90's late night show "The Late show with David Letterman with Paul Shafer and the CBS orchestra", not rock enough even soft rock, not even al dente. Not jazz enough, not funk enough. If this is what yacht rock is, I think it came pre capsized. "You're neither cold nor hot. So because you are lukewarm, I will spew you out of my mouth." - Bill The Butcher
It was ok, passable even, I didn't hate it and I found myself tapping away for most of it. Would I go back for a second listen? probably not though.
A nice little introduction to the who, had some great moments for each of the instruments that let them shine and a sampling of what Rodger can do vocally through rock, blues, more of a pop rock and a proto punk with My generation.
Nice but not great, some nice jazz in the background. H20gate blues has the poet lyrics I thought I was going to get for the whole album.
Another catchy garage rock album that takes me back to early adulthood. I cant remember how many times I've listened to this album and now I can add one more play to my list. I don't think I will ever not love this album and will enjoy it every time it's on.
A great album with vivid storytelling from David, a few different styles woven throughout gives a good amount of variety that's needed. Overall a lovely rock opera with an interesting story. Favourite track Moonage Daydream.
An exercise in cacophony, I listen to music to enjoy my time, this just made me feel anger for the most part, overly indulgent to the artsy whims of the Riff Raff look-a-like competition champion 1974. The pulsating throbbing of my near aneurism is what I'll remember and I'll be pre warned if I'm unfortunate enough to listen to another of his albums I can only imagine he gets erect at the sound of the droning tones of a vuvuzela.
On the borderlands of out of control and smooth jazz, maybe a bit over the edge into chaos than I like but the rest the band were excellent and well worth the listen. To me nowhere near Miles Davies, my favourite jazz artist so far but I did enjoy the album how ever short it was. I loved the timpani on track 4.
A fine album, only a few better songs, nothing that brings it up more than a 6/10 and that's where it lives in the cracks of ok land.
Nice background music, won't be listening to it again, wasn't grabbed by it and it made me feel nothing.
Great glam metal hard rock album, has all the riffs and wailing and chorus back up singing you could want. Can see why they were so popular and it had me tapping away the whole time, nearly no dull spots here, its balls to the wall from soup to nuts.
The singer sounds like he's 2/3 the way through the cheapest bottle of off brand vodka he could find with the loose change he found in-between the cushions of the couch in the half way house he now resides after doing a 12 month stint in jail for being caught masturbating in front of a 83 year old lady named Doris pissed off his gourd with a urine stain down the front of his trousers.
This album doesn't shout listen to me it shouts thank you for buying 2 for 1 chinos at the GAP on lazy Tuesday afternoon. Still good but unremarkable in most ways.
As with all Beatles albums it's a lively jaunt and I'm there for it. A good mix of originals and other Motown covers that they put their spin on to varying degrees of success. Not their best album but even their middling albums have more energy than other bands most well known. Very listenable on repeat visits.
I guess I'm too old now, my nostalgia for the music is battling my adult brain because the childish skits and lyrics just don't do it for me anymore and I had to fight to slog through this one.
One that I surprisingly didn't listen to outside the hits on Saturday morning music shows or outright own since I loved there next two albums, I'll put that down to being a stupid teenager as it has a very 90's understated cool about it that I would have eaten up back then and still enjoy today.
Sure it doesn't have anything I know but it's still varied and catchy, in parts sounds like there older more well stuff but in parts they defiantly went in their own direction or maybe i'm not that familiar with their catalogue. Some songs sounded almost pet sounds with the instruments and arrangements. I quite liked it.
A beautiful mix of funk and psychedelic grooves and with enough dirty liks to make me do the stank face on a few occasions well done. Parts made me think it was birthed out of a sweaty love between Jimi Hendrix and Santana. I could defiantly get into more of this.
I used to think Lupe Fiasco wasn't that great, I still do but I used to too. On further reading I found out he was connected to Jay-z and Kanya West and now I know why it's all the same musically and I'm not re-listening enough to find any pearls of wisdom in the lyrics I doubt were there in the first place.
Overall pretty pleasant, not writing a sterling letter to the editor about my undying admiration but I didn't want to chew my own ears off or fight myself to not skip any tracks so that's a plus. Had some good rock sound with the band but vocally not that interesting.
Fairly droning and not very interesting to me, can't see why it's on this list myself.
Boy-howdy! I'm sure there is something I'm not getting or it's an elaborate prank I'm not in on but I'm confused.
An amazing start to the album unmistakeable vocals of Rod Stewart. The end of side 1 and start of side 2 ruined the groove that was gained by an amazing start to the album and hamstrung with what could have been a fantastic blues rock album. Still a great album without those two tracks.
Nice but my go to is Harvest, didn't get the same feel from this one but it was nice. Obviously the exception is Hey Hey My My which is a staple of his.
Quite interesting, I've had to create a prog playlist for this one. I just don't know when I will be in the mood to slap this on other than the obvious. The choice of instruments and feel for each part was quite good.
Definitely has that 90's midlands sound, reminiscent of Oasis and later Kasabian to a certain extent, but their own twist. An enjoyable album and one I saved a number of songs to a rock playlist to revisit later.
A pleasant enough album, not many notable tracks for me and not likely to be back to listen to the whole but did put a few into a folk playlist.
Some good tracks, did it need to have a run time that would make James Cameron blush ...no. Some tracks sounded like Lemme from motorhead which I liked.
I was wondering how long it would take to get here on the list, to the first album I bought, nostalgia is hooked directly into my veins as cascading memories wash over me as I shed a single tear of blissful adoration. After all this time? Always.
Overall a good album, went off the rails with Sly but even that had some good moments. the drums on Chameleon were a great listen and worth the cost of entry in and of it self.
Hadn't come across many good examples of trip hop until now, loved the beats but a number of tracks at the start I was just waiting and waiting for the rapper to come in with his lines but looked it up and lo and behold it an instrumental, from then on I got into it for what it was and it pleased me.
Nondescript royalty free you tube background music comes directly to mind, music that elicits no emotion other than contempt for wasting my time.
First time hearing the whole album, I was already a big fan of America and Ms Robinson but having heard the whole album I'm a fan of the complete experience as well, it does take you on a journey and I like where it led.
Out of all the albums that I've heard this is definitely one of them.
Overall a nice album but not something I'll seek out again.
A cross between Nick Cave and Jim Morrison, not too sure how I feel about this as yet, interested to save most of the album into a post punk playlist, I guess good enough that I made a playlist so it has that going for it. I'll have to listen to it some more and might change my mind later.
Very front heavy with hits, but still a good album, not my favourite of theirs but a solid entry.
Had a great rock sound but on first listen nothing brilliant outside of a nice rock playlist, on it's own i'm not sure I could pick song that had a lot of individuality.
A while back I listened to Bryter Later and I absolutely hated it, I thought I had heard this album before and enjoyed the experience but surely it couldn't be the same artist. it was and I just have to chalk it up to an album I just didn't like and this one being really good and had the vibe I dug.
I liked the music but I've heard better tones coming from people being dragged behind a horse.
One of my least fond genres of music, this continues that trend as It made me wander what they were saying and repeating "quick maffs" in my head again and again in equal measure.
Not for me champ, I'm not avant-garde enough to appreciate the subtleties and nuance of an album about fucking a child.
I thought it sounded familiar but as soon as Babylon came on I figured it out and I was very aware of the song from back then, the rest of the album I quite liked and will listen to again, I will assume it will grow on me more over time.
Good album, not my cup of tea though, gets to a point of not really understanding what's going on but maybe i'm too old now as I shake my fist at a cloud.
Enjoyed my time bopping away at most of the songs, I already knew the song Message to you rudy just not that version but was happy to hear it again. Over all a pleasant album.
Well here's a party in my pants and everyone's invited. You can't be angry listening to latin music you just hip thrust with a smile on your face until you are depleted of bodily fluids. A great time had by all. will air grind again.
A fine album, wouldn't seek it out again but didn't hate the experience.
That was different. It was interesting to see where hip hop evolved from but can't say it will be something i'm hankering to listen to again.
It's trying to be Latin, it's trying to be Jazz but it has no fucking heart so ends up feeling like I'm trapped in an elevator with Herman Chavez:- Muzak Magician Extraordinaire.
One of the most iconic albums of the 90's and for good reason, them and The Offspring brought Punk back to the mainstream, though I'm not as emotionally invested in Greenday It's still a cracker of an album and can't be denied a place as top album.
It was ok, very 80's feel, but didn't grab me.
A few good tracks otherwise I won't remember it tomorrow.
Fun album, saved a number of songs to an old-school hiphop playlist but that's only about a quarter of the tracks the rest didn't hit the mark for me overall it was ok.
One of the most front loaded albums I've listened to, but was quite happy with the rest of the tracks after the three heavy hitters where out of the way. Will come back for more listens to further my education.
It's passable, started off good but fell off pretty quickly, not their best work.
Good to finally hear this album after hearing the name so many times over the years, thought I would know a song on it but alas I didn't, which Is a bit of a disappointment in that regard but the songs were overall good, might have to come back to it after some time to see if it changes my opinion.
Lots of notable songs here, a few curve balls that are a bit jarring and brings the score down a touch but some of my all time favourite Beatles songs on this album but as a whole not one of my favourite Beatles albums.

A fantastic live album, you feel the vibe and wish you were there. One of the greatest losses in music history but we have what he sang with us and we shall cherish it forever.
Interesting but a bit too different to my tastes for me to come back to.
Interesting but a bit too different to my tastes for me to come back to.
He defiantly has a great voice and next level falsetto, the funk is on point and would listen to again if the mood struck.
Love the big band sound and it's made even better by the sounds of a great artist, I definitely enjoyed the listen and would listen again.
A partial meal, you yearn for The Beatles and only end up with two of them on this album, some great songs but not as complete as you would hope for .
Fun and upbeat, some great 80's synth work going on but ultimately not as catchy as I had hoped. Put a few songs on 80's playlists though so that's a plus for it.
Only really liked half the album but that has a better hit rate than some i've listened to. those tracks had a great sound and would have been rated quite high if those other tracks didn't go as weird or repetitive.
A fun album that I quite liked, the drums and guitar were particularly good I thought. made me think of newer bands, maybe they were ahead of their time.
Interesting songs but not really grabbing, it felt like a mix of Bjork and Regina Spektor for parts but with nothing to keep me there.
I do admit that I left today's album too late as it's past 1am the next day, which admittedly isn't getting the most of my attention as im trying to stay awake, but i'm still thinking it's a little too much and too samey. Maybe if it caught me on a better day with a drink or two in me I might rate it higher but today isn't that day.

What a great album, the rock the softness in parts, surprise Thom Yorke, I really had a fun time and will be back again.
It was listed as experimental rock, something experiments fail as this one certainly didn't hot the mark, my brain just shut off most of the time as vocally it was just grating.
It was listed as experimental rock, something experiments fail as this one certainly didn't hot the mark, my brain just shut off most of the time as vocally it was just grating.
A good album with some agreeable funk and soul but still looking out for a top shelf funk album that makes me sit up and pay attention.
Well that sure was a long one, I think the symphony aspect took away from the Metallica but it still was good. I would rather listen to the original though.
How many solid songs can we fit on one album? Well most of them is the answer as we fly through this angst filled black balloon filled with the unimaginable pain of life and suffering. Even twenty three years later I can still remember nearly all the songs which shows the impact it had on me as a teenager and the small recess in my brain it shall forever live.
Ok album but not a re-listen for me, saved a couple songs into a rock playlist.
A fantastic album without a bad song to be heard, beautifully melancholic in places which just enhances the variety in both mood and instrument selection and shows the growing skill of this amazing band.
A good album but nowhere near the level of other bands from the time, saved a few tracks to a few playlists but that's all this one gets.
A fun album full of guitar and synth, pretty enjoyable.
Beautiful voice, just had a few tracks that grabbed me.
So far my experience is the the Rolling Stones made great singles not great albums and so far this has been the case as well, the songs aren't bad they were quite good but it didn't feel cohesive as an album for me overall forgettable outside a few singles.
It's a good album with a cool vibe but sounded very much like the Grates in parts and I would rather listen to them.
A classic Alt rock hangout that vibes for days and worthy of another listen at least.
Bit of a wacky one isn't it, seen chronic drunks less all over the road than this seemed to be, a music equivalent of those candy pick and mix where you get a bunch of everything, I'm happy with the gummies but for more often than I had liked you get a mouthful of fucking liquorice.
Nothing too exciting here, some nice music but mostly forgettable.
Have you ever been to a buffet where you didn't know what you were eating and just took little bits of everything to see if you would like it and found out that only a few mouthfuls were to your taste, yeah this was that.
An ok album with a few great sounding tracks, varied with some ballads too, Didn't know that many baring the covers which is weird coming from a juggernaut like Elvis buy I guess it is his first album.
Hang-Ten broheim we are peaking on this synth wave coming into shore and it's been a fun tubular ride. Falsetto's aplenty and a number of tracks that feature more of his range as a lead singer. Didn't know anything other than Take on me but still had good time.
Have you ever been to an expensive restaurant where they serve a silly amount of very small dishes and your left with a lighter wallet and still feel hungry, this was that in audio form.
Sweet grooves and phat bass lines all throughout this album that lets the funk flow like volcanic magma, a fun time was had.
A great varied album from this artist. Knew more songs than I thought and the remainders were still solid and a worthy addition to the list.
A fine album with one song I knew a bunch felt samey but good and a few others were saved to a post punk playlist, nothing amazing but pretty good.
A good album with a few notable songs outside of No woman No cry but not enough to give it more stars is middle tier but still good to chill to.
Something about his voice puts me off, not my type of rap that's for sure, I would rather listen to the music of the samples he used.
A fun album, full of energy and pizazz. Could see myself getting tipsy and badly dancing to this.
A good old school hiphop album, not to the heights of Wu-tang or NWA but passable, saved a few tracks to playlists.
I just want to vibe out with this album, it takes your hand through this psychedelic trip and delivers you into nirvana with the sounds of bongo's and Santana's spine melting guitar licks. Will listen to this album gain for sure.
An ok album, very front loaded with the well known stuff, it drops off in my interest as it started to sounds samey. still I didn't want to skip any songs.
Quirky and weird but not for me.
Is a good album with a few songs I knew, not too much variety but you can rock out either way.
It was ok, nothing I would listen to again but it was ok to listen to.
I'm sure he enjoyed making this but I didn't enjoy my time listening to it. I mainly just wished I had a better album to listen to.
It was ok, nothing special for me, didn't playlist any songs. Plenty of better country out there.
Interesting but not likely to seek it out again.
A nice album, a bit to lounge for my tastes but she sang well, saved one song to a playlist.
Energetic with a cool feel, hard to understand the lyrics but thats punk for you. Saved a few to playlist.
A soft groovy album with some nice music, pretty different, I enjoyed my time listening.
A light and beautiful album filled with great songs, his voice, the instruments bring you the vision of a calm night under the stars, a cool air blows over the nap of your neck. and everything is fine in the world.
A quirky and interesting album with one known song, it was ok for me but not likely to listen again.
A smooth lounge jazz, I can see myself there with a vodka gimlet, not as interesting as other jazz albums but did have some shining tracks.
It's like drinking Led Zeppelin light, had some interesting stuff but not enough to go back to.
A synthy new wave jaunt, a good example and a fun one as well.
Maybe because I have been steeped in traditional blues instead of Elvis but I just think it's ok, even for a white guy there are better out there, and this album didn't even have a hit song on there.
A good album with a few noteworthy songs that I'll listen to again, as an album it was fun but I won't be back.
Started calm and non offensive then it turned in to a droning mess without purpose or soul. Saw that they didn't make another album after that which I was happy to hear.
Interesting album, wouldn't bring me back to listening to it again, fun if you like that gothy vibe.
A very chill album that I could see myself coming back to again for the vibes, as a whole album I liked it and will put the whole album into the reggae playlist.
A fantastic first song and 8 more ok to mediocre ones to follow it up, Bold move cotton, lets see how it plays out. A few songs to go in multiple rock playlists and a bunch more that are already forgotten, was hoping for more, another to add to list of single Princes not album Kings.
This is what happens when you tell someone at the local karaoke bar they can really sing and should make a career of it but they don't grasp the subtilty of your biting sarcasm.
Some ok songs, a couple of cool sounding blues rock ditties and the rest sounds like sitting out the front of Mcdonalds at 2:30am on a Friday night listening to Jimmy the forklift driver who is pissed at a turnip shower me with a rain of half eaten quarter-pounder as he enthusiastically tells me about the best crypto currency he has just invested into.
I liked two songs, the rest was meh, I'm moving on now.
A great country album with top end lyricism and music to match, will listen to again and i'm sure with further listens will be appreciated more.
A funkylicious bonanza to groove and bop to, some really beefy twang of the bass and sharp snaps of the cymbal gives the old ear holes a nice night out.
A calm picnic in the countryside where you and your partner imbibe in a massive dose of acid and gently feel the earth carry you over fields and dales through time itself and making you feel a bit more knowledgeable about the world.
A fun album with disco grooves that make you want to dance, much maligned in genre, I like the engaging energy it brings.
A beautiful album with complex lyrics, and a voice that would make an angel go from six to midnight. thought of many artists while listening such as Regina Spector, Kate bush and Florence and the machine which isn't a bad group to be in with. I will come back again to gain further appreciation.
Wake me up when something interesting happens, like I get a coupon book in the mailbox or a re-run of the Sopranos comes on.
A full bore rock experience in every sense, wish I could have been a part of the whole scene at that time, a fun album I was bopping along to.
A couple of songs I knew but were ok at best, I wouldn't run into a burning building to save it is all i'm saying. I'll just just shake my head while I see it in my newsfeed and think "Tragic".
A peaceful folk rock album to ease you into that second hit of what ever your poison is. Won't be blasting anyone's pants off but if a chill vibe is what's wanted then give it a go.
Looks like they blew their load with the first trio then post nut clarity kicked in and they turned in a flaccid rest of the remainder of the album, hardly worthy of a best albums list and won't be coming back again.
A great album filled with known songs that scream nostalgia even if you weren't young when these songs came out as everyone just absorbs some songs my osmosis and these are some of those.
Didn't get it. Haven't had enough drugs for this.
The birth of heavy metal is glorious to hear, the talent on full display, a true pleasure to listen to.
A deep wall of sound, waves of music washing over me in rhythmic patterns of vibe induced euphoria. Will come back for another bite for sure.
Nice and all but too samey and ide rather be listening to instrumental jazz.
Straight from the start I didn't connect with this album and it didn't change.
A great old school hip hop album from an east coast magician, very Wu-Tang in feel but that's my limited reference speaking, I greatly enjoyed the beats and lyrics. He gets extra points for throwing in Imhotep in there.
An interesting stroll down sadsack lane couldn't see myself rocking this on a leisurely stroll next to the beach or on a nice winding road trip through the mountains, so I don't know where I would connect with this, maybe a drama movie perhaps.
Classic feel with the messages to back it up, that unfortunately ring true even today. Lessons that haven't been learnt are can steel be heard in the lines even today, so an automatic add to my hip hop playlist and will listen again.
That was a weird one, not to my taste but good on you jack, you do you.
A solid album, a powerhouse that exudes cool and soul from every pore. A voice for the ages and can see myself coming back for more.
Nice album but nothing great, good for background chill time.
Background music at best, try to listen to it while doing something more interesting.
Enjoyable enough, a few tracks had me tapping my foot. but in the genre it will rank quite mid as there are a lot more albums reaching within and giving deep emotions but this was just pleasant.
Not my type of jazz, album took too long so i'm not wasting more of my time on a longer review/
A fun and smooth outlaw country album, well worth the time and a good tome will be had by those who can embrace the genre.
A rock opera chock full of classic punk rock tunes and worthy of a place on the list, will come back again for some nostalgia.
No idea what he's singing but I'm here for a funking good time, and that's what I got. I can always rely on the Sth Americans to make me want to move my hips. Not sure when I might listen to this again but it's now on a World playlist for that time.
Some cool soul here, also some screaming girls that ruin the vibe.
Some deep feeling in these ones, classic songs and the rest of the album which range from great to good. still worth a listen and adding to a playlist.
Some good points from the collab artists but I don't like Kanye either in his music or his off putting personality so there is zero chance I'll come back to this, I have more fulfilling things to do such as get a root canal.
A cool synth pop paradise, a few known songs to make it better, Saved a few songs to a synth pop playlist.
A handful of classic great songs wrapped in a meh sandwich, and that sandwich is one of those fucking sandwiches made for a corporate function that's like 15ft long.
Musically it sounded good, vibe wise it left me feeling lacking, i'm sure it's just me but i'm not a fan of his music.
I don't think I can be unbiased with any review of this. I love it, that's it. I will always love it.
Loved the known songs but the rest felt like it was written by different people and didn't have the same vibe.
Interesting album i'll save it to my World Music list but i'm not compelled to listen to it again right now, but one day I will.
It was nice but outside of the one known song I won't be listening to this again.
A lovely album with a few of my all time favourite songs on it, the rest of the album isn't up to the two songs but it's still a good listen.
This album has a buzz and exuberance in abundance, it exudes passion and sex that screams for you to pay attention and indeed I will to my dying breath.
The tracks grabbed me about as much as a guy in an hospital amputation ward in Saudi Arabia after he got caught stealing, and I felt my time was stolen so that makes sense.
A fine album, no stand out songs but it was nice.
A classic rock album, only one known song so didn't have much connection going through so It doesn't reach the highs of other ACDC albums.
It's nice to hear some african music, though this was better as background for me I hope to find more world music that are hidden jems that I love.
A fine rock album that starts with a banger of a known song and is filled with a number of worthy classic rock songs that will go into a few playlists.
A fun energetic album with the starts of punk rock in there. Will save a few songs for the 70's and punk rock playlists.
Was looking forward to this when I saw who it was, but am left a bit disappointed, I'm sure that's all on me. Still an ok album but I just expected Shakeshack but got Mcdonalds.
A nice album, saved a few songs into playlists but it's background at best. Instead of destroying rock and roll it's shown me why rock has a soul and this wouldn't be out of place in an elevator or hold music for a telco company.
A fun album with a number of known songs for me which will be saved into playlists. Very quirky and a different feel, worth a listen.
Very old school sound, not in the top tier but still good and worth a listen.
A good little folk album that's chill and relaxing, didn't know any tracks but it feels like I did, I guess that's the nature of folk it feels like it was always around.
Music was hardcore but didn't give me the urge to listen intently, plenty of other more compelling albums you could put on.
Oh boy you're in for one of the longest albums in your life, it would have been great if it were good but alas i'm not that fucking lucky.
I don't know what they were going for with this, I'm sure if I did it might deserve to be on this list but right now I just feel like I've wasted my time.
It's interesting but if I want Industrial German I'll go with Rammstein or Kraftwerk.
A notable hip hop album from my limited experience, not the top spot but a solid top ten for sure, I love how dense the lyrics are and the beats are quite good.
Liked the instrumentation, but I just don't like his voice, I put him in the same basket as Bob Dylan, more droning than the US Military. Didn't save any for a playlist.
Defiantly doing their own thing, felt more like something you might hear at a contemporary art exhibit featuring pictures of emaciated people in stasi west berlin prisons and buckets of piss and shit around to give the full aroma of this Dadaist fever dream.
I liked a few songs but golly gee is it hard to after the third day in a row of Industrial music, but this is by far the better of the three I have had so far.
Fun but I think they are better in smaller doses, it gets a bit much after a while. No songs I knew but some I've added into playlists.
Some beats were good but UK hip hop is one of my least favourite genres to listen to, this was tolerable.
Quite a strange outing we just had, it was nice but I don't need to hear it again.
Ooh boy, I enjoyed this. I love The Doors and this is no exception the mix of Blues rock and psychedelia is out of control, that organ is to die for.
Whomever gave this guy confidence enough to sing should be given an uppercut. Uncompelling and a little irritating.
A fast paces rocky album with quick songs that scratch that post punk alt rock itch pretty good.
A powerhouse of a voice and iconic album, loved it since it came out and I will continue doing so over a decade later.
Some good stuff but it mostly just seems to bleed together and sound very samey. not the best from them.
Didn't find any track compelling.
A quick but funky album, nice bass lines, would work well in the background as most songs don't have lyrics.
Not to the expected heights as Breakfast in America, still ok though.
Very 60's rock and roll but others including the monkeys did it better in my view thats why they covered their music.
A fun album that send you back to the early 2000s if you wanted to or not. saved a few tracks into nu-metal playlist.
Way too much distortion for my liking, muddied the vocals which lessened the end product, it's a no from me.
First time with this album and I can see it growing on me even more. It's got a more chill vibe and the jazz influence on a few track adds a nice little extra.
A nice small album, quite enjoyable and would listen again.
A groovy and sexy blues rock album, I really cant get enough of The Black Keys, simple yet deep sound.
Frenetic and fun, a rock god and a real treat to listen to.
Music to burn society to, in this day and age it seems fitting and apt to fantasize about the impending fall of western civilization and I think this album gives the perfect audio backdrop to that.
It's an ok nice album pretty average and nothing special though.
A blast to go back to an album I had listened to so much but haven't listened to in quite some time and I don't know why it's still cool and funky and deserves more attention than what it gets.
An upbeat good album, can't see myself listening to it again but I did save a few songs for 80's playlists.
Quite a chill sober album which I liked, it deserves more than one listen I think and later I will do that.
I don't think I'm misunderstood enough for this, it was ok but not for me really, didn't hate it.
A nice album, only saved a few songs for later.
A standard album with one brilliant song, saved that one and I will move on.
Some nice 80's synth pop, not the best example but a nice listen.
A front end banger, classic metal songs and a few slower ones just as classic, great fucking tunes.
A lovely album with a number of known songs and a few new ones I quite like.
You know when you go to an art museum and you see a painting that's just some colour on canvas and you wonder what is going on and if someone is playing a trick on you, yeah this is like that.
A nice album but not the vibe I'm after off a PJ Harvey record, still saved a few tracks for a folk rock list.
Ok but pretty bland, milquetoast on white bread.
A good post punk album had some cool song on the album that i saved.
Love rock but didn't jive with this, it's ok but not so much to save any songs.
An iconic album for me filled with overly nostalgic fare. A bit front loaded but the back end has some nice ambient tracks.
A good album but the mojo has gone and it left a while back.
Tepid be the sounds that drape my ears, the alacrity of silence is a godsend over the voice of mediocrity.
A wacky yet charming experimental album, she has something that just makes her craziness endearing.
How many song should an album have? all of them is apparently the answer to this question, my fucking god. might be the music of the songbook being from the 20's-30's that I didn't really connect with 90% of them but they weren't horrible and her voice is nice.
Quirky and inoffensive, nothing stood out though other than hey this sort of sounds like Pixar.
A cool album with some good songs which I saved to lists.
A cool mix of funky prog and instrumental classical, and I quite enjoyed it.
Some good songs, some ok songs, some quirky songs, some wack songs.
Meh, didn't catch my ear.
Have a snickers, you're not you when your hungry, maybe some tai chi or transcendental meditation might help you there hot head. Don't really connect with all the anger well maybe when I think about how McDonalds stopped making the honey mustard sauce.
Nice sound nothing amazing and a few too many covers that weren't as good as the original.
A cool album that makes you beg for another fifteen minuets on the title track as we are not done finding the meaning of life yet and I'm sure that will be enough to crack the code.
It's a weird album with a few tracks I liked, not that excited about it though.
A good album that starts strong with the title track and goes on from there, bold move cotton lets see how it plays out, some nice further songs in homeward bound and I enjoyed the Bob Dylan dis-track laying down some salt.
A strange album, felt a little disjointed as if it was by three separate bands.
A nice album but not what I was looking for.
One known song but the rest felt very rocky and on point, won't reach the heights of other rock albums but it a foot tapper for sure.
A great live album but I think I would rather the standard songs more so it takes a hit for me.
I wish the band well for their future endeavours of being an early warning siren for hurricanes or an aid for dispersing rioters/dissidents of totalitarian regimes.
A cool laid back chill album, loved the soul/jazzy vibe.
Wacky album very Brian Edo, knew one song and thats the one I put into playlists.
A cool album with a theme, wasn't a stand out though.
A ok album, you can see the sprouts of grudge and indie both in this, a little too undercooked for my liking
A cool chill album with an interesting theme, good sound and his voice is great.
Fun experimental art pop album, I enjoyed this and would listen again.
Thinking about the album compared to their peers it feels a little lacklustre and not in the same league, good for a once off but it didn't make a fan out of me.
Quite a number of cool tracks with good flow in the lyrics, one known track.
Smooth album with plenty of 2000's reverb, many nostalgia points and would gladly listen again.
Hmmm a Scottish man singing in a fake Jamaican accent... no thanks. Sounded ok if I switched my brain off to the reality of how in authentic he is.
Probably my least favourite White stripes album, it has its charm but the rocky garage edge is gone, it's offering us Werther's originals when we wanted Mountain Dew Code red.
Not as punchy or memorable as I thought it would be, sure it has a bunch of known songs but are they as memorable as Queen or Zeppilin...hell no.
A cool pop r&b album, a number of known tracks. and worth a listen.
A good album though short, felt a bit samey but then again so does most of his stuff. Fine to have in the background but i'll just put Born to run in a playlist and be done with it.
A great album packed full of classic known songs, worth the price of entry and more.
Packed with some of my all time favourite Beatles songs but is let down with the tail end of the album, would be ranked higher If it ended after "Because" Everyone goes on about how this is their best album and I can't take that stance with all the filler.
Not really into lofi chill and if I was this wouldn't be it.
The album is there, it has made noises and they have gone into my auditory canal and my brain has processed that as sound.
A fun jaunt back to the past, it's upbeat and you can hear him having a good time. Worth the time for King Louis alone.
Well now I have a few less brain cells and i'm nearly an hour closer to death. I will always look back and regret this time I spent listening to this drivel.
A nice little album that's calming and reminds me of older times that were simpler and less complicated. Saved a few to folk playlists.
An interesting dive into Indian music with the odd time signatures, but I enjoyed myself in just letting it flow over me, groovy baby.
A solid rock album, a bit bowie in places but it seems everyone was then and they were friends so he was just copying his mate a little and have him write the best bit of homework, that's what friends do.
Not the best latin album I've listened to so far but it had a couple that I saved to playlists.
I quite like this, it remined me of the Australian band "The Cat Empire" which I also like. I enjoyed the switch to different languages.
A cool album of alt rock/ britpop one know song which is a banger. Saved a few for playlists.
An interesting take on the ol psychedelic rock, not the strongest outing but it did have some worthwhile songs added to playlists.
It was ok, but nothing urging me to listen to it again or to save any to a playlist.
With a few great known songs the rest felt pretty disjointed and becomes just ok.
