1001 Albums Summary

I always presumed that the police were a bit shit without ever making the effort to find out for sure. I was doubting myself 30 seconds into the first song but then Sting started singing and thankfully my instincts proved correct. I prefer the puff daddy version.

Feel like I should like it more than I did. Pretty similar to lots of stuff that I listen to but found it hard going at times. The first song is great but when the album is 70 minutes long need a few more like that

The key to enjoying life is low expectations

Still probably my favourite album

Not the worst album so far but arguably the least deserving of a place on this list. I still really like get free but other than that it's all just completely unremarkable.

Would have been a 5 at some point. Much like myself don't think it's aged particularly well. More filler than I remember. Worth 4 stars for nostalgia

Listened to half thought it was worth 2 stars. Listened to the 2nd half, went to the trouble of getting an email to allow me to edit my score. 1 star

Slightly generous rating. A fan of his music generally but a lot of these songs have better versions elsewhere and not many of the extra songs with the other musicians on it were particularly memorable

Didn't really know what to expect. For the most past a pleasant surprise

Fell asleep to on a plane. Seemed perfectly fine. The last song hang your head in shame felt apt

I'm not 100% sure it's my favourite Beatles album but it's very close

Considered 1 star as I will never listen to it again. Next to soft machine it's a no contest is pick this every time

This is the day is a great song, a couple of other decent tracks and some other stuff I didn't like as much

Not in his top 5 albums but still a couple of classics on there

The thing about today's popstars is they're not Dusty Springfield.

Dont really listen to that much early Beatles. Perfectly decent pop music but not in the same league as their later stuff

I wanted everything, especially the guitars to be louder

Considered a 5. Not as good as Arthur but still really enjoyed it

A 10/10 album for me

A real mixed bag. Really liked a few songs, some were borderline terrible

Definitely a 5 star album in here. Put 1979 on disc one and you're not far off

One of my favourite bands. Probably their best album, perfect combination of their punk roots and more melodic side

The best Bowie album yet. Really enjoyed it it, will definitely listen to it again and it could go up to a 5

California Dreamin is an all time classic but the rest was just ok

Enjoyable but forgettable

I've tried to get into him before. The early stuff clicked immediately, this takes a bit longer. Listened to it twice and it's getting there

I basically ignored Billy Joel which I regret. I blame Westlife and Uptown Girl for putting me off him. Some good stuff on here

Much like the stones first album and to an extent the Beatles it really wasnt clear they were any good at this point
