Green by R.E.M.
Nov 24 2025

Jangly guitars, reverb, and nasal singing are a combo that I don't particularly enjoy to be honest. I found myself enjoying the ballads a lot more just because the rest of the band calmed down a bit for them. I Remember California is an unexpected highlight, I love that kind of sinister shit. Orange Crush still a banger too. I think R.E.M are one of those bands where I'm happy to stick to the singles.

Jagged Little Pill by Alanis Morissette
Nov 25 2025

It is the 90s and I am wearing flannel. People are arguing about what is ironic on dial up internet. The Simpsons is still good. It is a simpler time and I am happy. (In real life I am five years old at this point and the 90s also sucked shut up a girl can dream)

Sound of Silver by LCD Soundsystem
Nov 26 2025

Somehow never got round to trying LCDS before. Not a huge fan of the dance rock style generally, but I can see they're good at it. Most of the songs should have been half as long to be honest, and the piano on All My Friends actively gave me a headache. North American Scum was my top track, I think. Overall a fine enough album, but I won't be putting it on again.

White Light / White Heat by The Velvet Underground
Nov 28 2025

It is honestly wild to me that something this atonal and experimental was from '68

Moondance by Van Morrison
Nov 29 2025

Perfectly pleasant jazz folk that I will never listen to again

Innervisions by Stevie Wonder
Nov 30 2025

What a fucking perfect album

Remedy by Basement Jaxx
Dec 01 2025

Very good at what it does, but what it does isn't for me

Stripped by Christina Aguilera
Dec 03 2025

Surprisingly varied and fun, but too long. Cut the weakest third and you'd have a real solid album.

Mask by Bauhaus
Dec 04 2025

Now this is the good shit. Varied, weird, enjoyed every track. Can hear the influence on several artists I enjoy now. Weird cover though!

Violator by Depeche Mode
Dec 06 2025

Never quite reaches the highs of Personal Jesus again, but a fun time nonetheless

Scream, Dracula, Scream by Rocket From The Crypt
Dec 07 2025

Never heard of this band before, but some damn good punk!

Dec 08 2025

I am so not the audience for this one but I can absolutely see the talent there. My main issue with this style of rap is that the backing tracks are rarely interesting. Will probably have another listen at some point.

Picture Book by Simply Red
Dec 11 2025

It was listenable I suppose

Midnight Ride by Paul Revere & The Raiders
Dec 14 2025

Not heard of this lot, but actually really fun listen!

To Pimp A Butterfly by Kendrick Lamar
Dec 16 2025

Need to give this another listen with more focus but yep, turns out Kendrick is good at this!

Dummy by Portishead
Dec 17 2025

Better than I thought it would be, the vocals get grating after awhile for me though

Juju by Siouxsie And The Banshees
Dec 20 2025
Oedipus Schmoedipus by Barry Adamson
Dec 22 2025

What a weird experience. Loved it, definitely gonna listen again.

Get Behind Me Satan by The White Stripes
Dec 23 2025

This is the album that got me into the White Stripes and it holds up!

Dec 25 2025

Never actually listened to Pavement before, not bad, can see the influence on a bunch of stuff I like.

1984 by Van Halen
Dec 28 2025

Would be 2 stars if not for Hot For Teacher

Play by Moby
Dec 29 2025

Dean Pelton has really let himself go

Hot Fuss by The Killers
Dec 30 2025

First half is entirely bangers sorry!

Dare! by The Human League
Jan 05 2026

The 80s were a mistake.

Clube Da Esquina by Milton Nascimento
Jan 08 2026

Perfectly pleasant, but nothing really stood out to me

Achtung Baby by U2
Jan 10 2026

To misquote Stewart Lee: An album so blandly anonymous that it sounds like the burial music for a king of an ancient civilization which valued above all bland anonymity.

L.A. Woman by The Doors
Jan 13 2026

God what a fuckin revelation this must have been in '71

xx by The xx
Jan 14 2026

Listened to it three times in a row yesterday, it's just that good

I See You by The xx
Jan 23 2026

Better than the debut at least!

Doggystyle by Snoop Dogg
Jan 27 2026

Iron Maiden by Iron Maiden
Feb 02 2026

I'm not really into Iron Maiden and this isn't even good Iron Maiden

The United States Of America by The United States Of America
Feb 04 2026

This is actually a jam! Probably wouldn't put it on again but fun to listen to

Feb 05 2026

I can hear the talent here but I am too trashy to fully appreciate it

Smash by The Offspring
Feb 06 2026
Odessey And Oracle by The Zombies
Feb 10 2026

Pretty standard 60s psychedelic pop with an absolute all timer of a final track

Grace by Jeff Buckley
Feb 14 2026
1989 by Taylor Swift
Feb 18 2026
Antichrist Superstar by Marilyn Manson
Feb 22 2026

Manson is a piece of shit and this isn't even one of his better albums. One extra star because Beautiful People is still great

Rapture by Anita Baker
Feb 23 2026
Purple Rain by Prince
Feb 24 2026

Never properly listened to Prince before and I have clearly been missing out

So by Peter Gabriel
Mar 01 2026
Music in Exile by Songhoy Blues
Mar 03 2026

Oh damn, this is immediately entering the rotation

Bubble And Scrape by Sebadoh
Mar 06 2026

I was thinking 'this sounds like Dinosaur Jr' and then looked it up and WHAT DO YOU KNOW. Also you can tell Modest Mouse came up around this time too. Good thing I like both of those bands!

Imagine by John Lennon
Mar 12 2026

It's just not very good is it?

Bone Machine by Tom Waits
Mar 16 2026

I fully acknowledge that Waits is a marmite artist but I love marmite!

Metal Box by Public Image Ltd.
May 01 2026

I enjoy arty atonal shit but an hour of very similar sounding arty atonal shit is a bit much

B-52's by The B-52's
May 02 2026

Generally a three star album but Rock Lobster adds a star on its own

Christina! The album's too long Christina!

The Wall by Pink Floyd
May 05 2026

Isn't this where we came in?
