My Chemical RomanceCatapulted right back to my past! This album is just so amazing! It's memory will carry on ;-)
Catapulted right back to my past! This album is just so amazing! It's memory will carry on ;-)
That Seattle grunge sound is never far away. The rawness and darkness of this album is very intriguing. 'Magazine' and 'Second Best' are amazing, strong songs. Nice discovery!
The drivers in traffic were witness of how much I enjoyed this album. So many sing-along moments.
Unbelievable this album is not included in the books! Such iconic songs that meant so much for the punk-pop scene.
Amazing album! Atypical rythms, loud but hypnotizing
interesting progrock album. Lyricaly, I had a harder time to empathize with the story of the album. But the music is very good.
Very relaxing music to listen while working. But not exactly some album I would play in my spare time
I don't speak a word Spanish. But I really liked the energy and the 'ska'-ness of this album
Hated some songs, like 'Rainbows'. Could tolerate some others. This is not an album for me
Maybe not the best singer, but the songs are nice and there are some beautiful arangements

You get teleported to some magical, norse fairytale with angelic singing. Lovely album to dream away
It's a shame this album is not included in the books. The energy this album contains is insane. And it includes some timeless songs. Couldn't resist to sing along most of the songs
I remember seeing advertisements for this album on television. Therefore, I find this way too 'in the face'. Also, the excess of way to obvious autotune bothers me a bit too much. I bobbed my head on 'Blinding Lights', but that's almost it.
Although I like some post-rock - and in that cause longer songs - from time to time, these songs seem to be much more split up in distinct parts. It might be a creatieve choice, but in my opinion they would stand better as individual songs. On the other hand: The music is very good. Some good build-ups, lovely use of the violin. Very beautiful atmosphere
Some latin, some jazz, and even some disco. It's a fun album, but not really worth a re-listen for me
The first few songs were lovely, timid songs. It felt like everything fits good together. The second part of the album is more uptempo. And in another way, everything fits too! Precious little surprise
I found this album quite dull and boring. And then 'Tick of the Clock' came on. Multiple times I thought: "What is this song?", "Why is this even a song?", "Why is this 15 minutes long?!?"... This 1 song completely broke the album for me, and is the main reason of giving this the lowest rate
Another classic album for which it is a shame it's not included in the books. With 4 successfull hitsongs it would deserve its place. They sure love the reverb in the vocals. And the guitar riffs are very funky.
Didn't feel a connection with this album, but there are some good songs
Some lesser known songs from Status Quo. The first song had me thinking it would sound all alike. But to my surprise, this album was more diverse than expected
Lovely folk music.
I remember listening this album when it came out. I don't really like this 'crooner'-version of Arctic Monkeys. And now, at the re-listen, it didn't change that much.
This album was a 50/50 for me. The 'heavier' songs I did not like. But the more dreamy ones were okay. But I had a little struggle to get to the end of this album
Not particulary special
Loved this album. Very poppy sound, without deviating too much from the traditional rock-vibes. Some folk and big-band parts are to be found also. I'll keep this one in my favorites!
Pretty genereic, but enjoyable
Amazing album! Atypical rythms, loud but hypnotizing
I had the urge to stop this album during the first 2 songs. But as always, I push through the end. Luckily there was the occasional song which I liked. But not a high ranking album for me
Half an hour of weirdness. But it kinda okay
I don't understand Norwegian. But I liked the mood and sound of the music very much.
Unbelievable this album is not included in the books! Such iconic songs that meant so much for the punk-pop scene.
Not my cup of tea...
Mixed feelings about this one. Music was alright, but I lost attention from time to time
Very oldschool progrock. It seems more accessible than some of the newer stuff.
Many summer vibes. And the influence of Manu Chao is clearly present. I enjoyed listening to this one
Very gloomy music, and the sound of Death Cab is never far away. Although I found this album a little more longwinding. Not exactly boring, but it could be better
Funky, but not memorable
Really cool album. Although it's a lot of the same sometimes
Surprise is never top far away on this album. I constantly wonderen: "What's the next song going to sound like?". Very varied and fun album
Not bad
Loved this album
Incredibly long album. But it's with good, funky and sometimes jazzy music.
Very minimalistic. Sad, yet dreamy. Not something I'd prefer to play spontaniously. But could appreciate this
Really love the indie folk sound. There was a smile on my face when I saw this album was submitted
A fine line between rock, grunge and pop. I loved the diversity in this album
The drivers in traffic were witness of how much I enjoyed this album. So many sing-along moments.
It's like a rock opera fairytale. Usually I listen these albums during my car commute. And so I did with this. But it gave me the urge to listen it again, with the lyrics in front of me to really get the full story.
I liked the ska songs, but the more 'punky' ones were lacking something
The first song striked some sparks of recognition. The rest of the album was a little bit of hit and miss. At some points I lost my attention
Fantastic! Dark, but entrancing. I just loved this music!
Beautiful album! The melodies en lyrics fit together incredibly.
Never thought I would like a pop album this much! It's totally not cliché in any means. Some good beats, easy lyrics to sing along.
This album didn't stick. although there were some okay-ish songs
Not bad, but it had nothing much extraordinary
Whacky and silly from time to time. But very fun album
The sampling and the integrity of Bon Iver kind of don't match for me... I don't think it's their best album. But it's enjoyable
Very psychedelic
Not really my liking, but it wasn't bad
It hot boring after a while
Typical Krautrock. Not bad, but not really my first choice of music
Intresting style. Quite enjoyed this album
Formidable!! How Stromae puts dark and depressive lyrics on a heavy house beat is incredible. And the variation of ballads and more dancable songs is stunning.
Very... Interesting. Sometimes I got the feeling the vocals didn't match the music. But it ain't a bad album
Don't know what it is with me and Icelandic music. But Björk, Sigur Rós, Dadi Freyr, Of Monster and Men,... All of them seem to fall in my favor. And this one is no exception! It sounds magical, atmospheric, intimid and grotesque all at once! Loved it!
Nice and unique style. Good album
Loud and distorted! I like it! It's garage rock, but has some industrial vibes to it without exaggerating too much
Very 'American sounding' and incredibly lyrical. Some Springsteen vibes at times. Good album
Very funky indeed. A nice Dutch discovery. Had never heard from this band
Not particularly a fan of The Boss. But this was a good livealbum
Catapulted right back to my past! This album is just so amazing! It's memory will carry on ;-)
A very funky disco-album. A bit too much of the same after a while, but still fun
Not my cup of tea
At the first song, I thought I would want to turn off the music very quick. But the second song I liked more. After that the album went a bit boring and much of the same
Good as background music
Very heavy indeed! The energy just splashes in your face, even though you're not in the live audience! Amazing wall of sound too. Good choice!
To me, this one sounded like a bad busker on a London street. Singing was awful, guitar sounded too out of tune to me... Very chaotic. Although I liked the songwriting, I had a hard time listening to this album
I like some hardcore where the screaming isn't too dominant. But the music here was lacking some power
Liked this modern take on hard rock
A little bit boring at times
To me it sounds like any other prog-rock album
Fun discovery. Indie as it should be
Don't really know how to describe my thoughts on this album. Sometimes it was good. But some songs were a bit dull
It needed to grow on me, but in the end it still didn't. I found it more to be some background music
I heard some inspiration of REM, Fleetwood Mac and Bruce Springsteen. But in totallity only 75% as good.
Some lesser known songs of Korn. Can't say I'm a fan, but it ain't bad
Quite enjoyed it
Very interesting concept. It's definitely one while story, a unity of songs.
An alternative take on the industrial genre. Does it make it more listenable? Yes. Does it make me enjoy it more though? Not really
Good mix of rock and electronics.
This is... Something. Fast paced, a lot of autotune, some good songs, some I liked less
Very poetic and calming music
Not very remarkable
I enjoyed it more than I thought I would.
Primus has that awesome Bass-Sound. I didn't know any of the songs on this album, but it was a good one
Seemed much of the same near the end
I really enjoyed this music
What a throwback! I had a period where I listened to Death Cab a lot, but had forgotten them. Now listening to this album, I realise what I loved about them again! His voice is so recognizeable, and the lyrics are sombre, but kinda hopefull.
Sometimes, it is what it is. And it is an album full of storytelling en Fun lyrics. Musically it ain't that great though. But I enjoyed it
Wasn't really what I would listen to
Not great. Some beats were good. Rapping I found mostly under average. The War Pigs sample was a fun surprise
Fun music, but at times the mixing felt a little off. Mostly the drums sounded very unnarural
Did enjoy it, for a while but got old fast
Funky and poppy. Not bad
Not really special. But wasn't bad too
I'm always a bit sceptical on hiphop albums. But this one wasn't all too bad
This is something very special... Not quite sure what to think of it. Am I urged to listening to it again? Actually, yes.
I got a lot of 'The National' vibes, but less sad. Never heard of this band, but glad you made me discover them.
I don't know very much about dub. But this album was all right for me
Love this band. Instant 5 stars. It's such happy, summermusic
I discovered this band at a festival, not knowing what to expect. But their performance blew me away. Now it was been a while since i've listened to them. So this was a very pleasant surprise! Thank you to the one suggesting this album!
Was quickly bored with this music. It's a lot of the dame to me
Is this where Alex Turner and Miles Kane got their inspiration? I liked this album. Sounds very timeless
Very fun album. Plain and simple brass-music, made to make you dance
Way too poppy for me. It ain't bad, but would not want to put this on voluntarily
Not bad. But not too outstandingly good too
Amazing voice. Very calming music. Loved it
The music is simple. The singing wasn't really good, even bad at some times. I wonder how I succeeded in listening to all songs, because after 2 songs I had enough
Incredibly good roadtrip music.
Not my cup of tea
Very relaxing jazz music
Liked it. No more, no less
Typical 80s sound. And this album has 2 songs I knew, but would never been able to name the artist
The whole is a bit monotonous. It was okay to be played as background music
Got some Alanis Morissette vibes, but less good.
Good album
Lo-fi does not seem to be something I like
Soothing music
The combination of classical music and the indigenous singing fits suprisingly well
Nothing too special.
I don't think I understand this genre. It's so monotone. Maybe it's good to meditate or something 2*
Very artsy, but kind of enjoyed (?) it.
'The Amazing Devil' actually amazed me. It's folk, but with a high percentage of rock (and even slight traces of hard rock). Lyrically, this album is very poetic (I mean, have you read the lyrics of Inkpot Gods for example). This album went fast from "unknown to me" to "man, I love this"
Okay-ish. I enjoyed listening, but it didn't really amaze me
Enjoyable
Fantastic album. It has some regular heavy post rock, some call intermezzo's and some more experimental songs. Amazing debut
I find it strange that an unfinished album is so high acclaimed. I did not really enjoy listening
Metalcore is just a bit too heavy for me. Though, this succeeded to met me listen it while, without the urge to turn it off
Triple thank you for submitting this album. Such soothing and calming music is very welcome. Loved every second of it
