I really like this. Had a lot of Beck on here and this is the best I’ve heard so far.

Dreary. Sorry, couldn’t find anything to like much here.
There may be many things AC/DC are not, but one thing they really ARE is fun. And sometimes that’s just what you need. Take my stars…
This is audio performance art. It doesn’t have to make sense and you don’t have to immediately understand what it’s all about, for it to get to you. From what I’ve read, if you saw them live you also got the visual performance art to go with it - which I’m sad, but also relieved(?) to be missing out on. Ultimately this was interesting, and engaging enough that I listened all the way through - which can’t be said of some of the very mid, bland, inoffensive pop albums on this list. So I’m giving it more stars than it seems most people have done.

Very chilled and relaxing - which is really nice if you’re in need of this vibe. I thought I couldn’t stand Lou Reed - but it turns out that’s just certain songs I’ve heard too many times over. Overall I enjoyed this one.
Some bangers on here. Very 60s, not entirely my thing but I did enjoy it.
These guys were better than I remembered them being. Solid album
Nice
Totes emosh
Very 80s but I liked it
This is probably better than I realise - not particularly captivated on first listen, but maybe I wasn’t paying enough attention. Will give it another go at some point.
Nice guitar stuff on here - not a big fan of the guy’s voice and style overall, but this was easy to listen to.
Love this album. Not a bad song on it, and a nice variety considering it’s all done by 2 people. I forgot how good the White Stripes were/are.
This was decent. Think I need to listen again to do it justice, but I enjoyed it.
Not totally my bag but there’s some great guitar work in here and definitely better than I expected
Like the music, not into the vocals
Weird but good weird. Never paid Bowie too much attention before but I definitely need to listen to this one again.
Meh
Lovely
I like this one - never really listened to Rush but will listen again
I liked this more than I thought I would. Good old Bob.
Not my cup of tea
Not really my thing but not bad
Not my bag at all
Really liked this one - can’t believe I’d not heard of her before!
Fine

Impressive
Middle of the road Beatles innit
Nice
All over the place but I think I like it?
Not my thing
Loved this
Lovely. Dolly is a legend
Loved this
Delightful
Loved this
Batshit but… decent?
Liked this one - need to listen again.
Fun. How could you not enjoy AC/DC? Whatever else it might be (to me that’s mainly “Dad music”) this is a real feelgood mood booster of an album.
Love love love this album. Groundbreaking in its day and just a boo from start to finish.
Not my bag
Never heard of this guy but this was interesting
Meh
Melancholy but sublime
Not sure about this one
They got better with time. This showed some promise and had plenty of energy in a way I like, but it got a bit samey by the end
Too miserable and not interesting enough for my liking
Love this one
Loved this, can’t believe I’ve not listened to this whole album before. A great mix of bangers, more chilled out numbers and some more beautiful, deep, complex tracks that definitely need another listen.
Wouldn’t say this was particularly good… but heck I enjoyed it a lot
Nice
Love the Beatles, love this album
Lovely
So chill. I like
I enjoy Nick Drake’s sound and style but this got pretty samey after a while
I’m sure there’s so much brilliance here but at first listen it was probably mostly lost on me. Sorry!
I like this one, lots of bangers. Second half of the album was definitely weaker than the first but overall this was a good time.
Billy Joel innit.
Wtf is this?!
I like this one.
Loved this one. Upbeat but complex and dark all at once.
Not sure about this one, or about Björk generally. Think it needs another listen.
Some bangers, bit too much sappy filler. Overall decent album.
Wasn’t keen to start with but after the first couple of songs it got better. Title track was a meandering delight.
Lovely voice but most of this felt a bit samey, and not really my cup of tea. Sorry Stevie!
Real good fun this one.
Joyful and just excellent. What a breath of fresh air.
Loved this. Needs another listen
I like this one.
Loved this.
Fun
Lovely chill album

Not really my thing, but enjoyable enough
Nostalgia central, reminds me of being 9 years old. Some bangers here
Love
Not sure about this one
Can’t help it, I know I shouldn’t but I like it. 2001, you were something.
Man I love this album.
Appreciate this for what it is, but not really my vibe
I really like this. Had a lot of Beck on here and this is the best I’ve heard so far.
Better than expected
I can appreciate the good things about this (lovely harmonies, very relaxing to listen to) but it just doesn’t grab my attention. I’m crying out for an album on this damn list that does that, it’s been a while!
Meh
Ok I don’t know what I expected, but I really enjoyed this.
Love this so much
Started off very meh and just wasn’t catching my attention, but the second half was a lot better.
Meh
Not my bag, found this tricky to get through.
Beautiful but made me sad. I’ll listen again next time I need to cry or am feeling sorry for myself 😂
Never gave Coldplay the time of day before, and remember early Coldplay as depressing and mushy - but actually this one was great all the way through. Pleasantly surprised.
Meh
Fun
Can’t decide how I feel about this one. Probably needs another listen.
Good ol’ Prince. Not a song on here that isn’t a banger. Love it.
Not sure about this one.
Interesting, needs another listen
Sixties, innit. Pleasant nonetheless.
Not really my cup of tea but did give me a lovely cosy old-timey feeling and I enjoyed it for what it was.
Can’t help but love - it’s got nearly all their bangers on one album.
Dreary. Sorry, couldn’t find anything to like much here.
Love this one. Probably shouldn’t but I do.
Can’t get excited about this.
Decent
Dark, sad, raw, lovely.
I can appreciate this, but I just don’t care for it right now.
Just noise. Sometimes great, sometimes terrible. Can’t decide how I feel about this one.
Very cheerful. Clearly made in a simpler more carefree time.
Fun
Fun
I wish I could live this more but it did get very sandy after a few songs
Beatles innit
So chill.
It’s not master of puppets but it does have quite a few bangers.
Interesting. Need to listen again.
Not my bag
Didn’t expect to love this but I did
May need to return to this - couldn’t stay focused
Lovely
Just can’t get behind Leonard
Nice
Enjoyed this more than I thought I would
Think I need to listen again and pay this more attention. Some good songs, overall didn’t do a lot for me.
Meh
God I forgot how good Moby is. Delicious
Bangers at the front, got less interesting towards the last few tracks. Still there’s some tasty stuff here, and I think Hot Chip are generally kind of underrated. Deserves another listen.
This brand of 60’s “happy little trip” psychedelic rock just doesn’t do anything for me. I think you had to be there, but I wasn’t born until 24 years after this release.
I appreciate how good this is, and how accomplished. However, it’s Radiohead so it’s depressing. It didn’t help that I listened to it while driving in a heavy fog/rain, at night, as the seasons are turning into a very damp autumn, but holy Jebus the melancholy is thick. I’ll give it another listen (probably many more), but the way it made me feel makes me reluctant to give it 5 stars.
Fun
I love this album. I first heard it aged 14 or 15, making my way through my parents’ cd collection. Back then I had a habit of listening to an album on my Walkman, in bed, to help me get to sleep. Lying there in the dark noticing every detail of the music. This was one of my favourites from doing that. Lemme tell you, it was such a joy to come back to it 15 years later and find I love it even more. Not a single track I’d be inclined to skip. Is it uncool to like REM? I don’t know and I don’t care, this slaps as the kids say these days. ;)
Got a bit samey after a few songs, but I kind of enjoyed the old-times Wild West feels for what they were.
Meh.
Lovely in some places, interesting and engaging in places, a bit too much Billy Corgan in others. I enjoy the instrumentals very much but I find his voice a little too whiny and OTT at times and it ruins things a bit. Also 2 hours of smashing pumpkins is a bit too much smashing pumpkins for me. Overall I like this album, in small doses; the whole thing is too long.
Interesting.
Not my favourite among MJ’s work.
Fun
Liked this more than I thought I would
There may be many things AC/DC are not, but one thing they really ARE is fun. And sometimes that’s just what you need. Take my stars…
Bad
Smooth
Pleasant enough and has some bangers, but it got a little samey after 4 or 5 songs.
Better than expected
Not sure how to feel about this one
Love this

Gave up after about 4 tracks
Not sure about this version of Goldfrapp, beautiful in a lot of ways but kinda creeped me out, not sure I’ll be listening again.
Such a classic, never fails to bring out all of the emotions. Couldn’t quite stick it all the way through the 3 discs so I pretended there were only two and this was perfection.
Some bangers on here but it turns out my tolerance for Bon Jovi ends after about 4 songs
Some lovely moments and I enjoyed the instrumentals a lot in places, but this brand of almost-country, Nick Cave meets the Smiths melancholia didn’t really do it for me.
Upbeat and easy to listen to
This is nostalgia for me and I adore it. Mum used to put it on all the time while doing housework, when I was a kid. Simple good memories. Objectively also a banger.
Meh - this didn’t age well. Not sure if it was even good to begin with.
Decent
Went from Joni to Dusty and (sorry Joni) for me Dusty wins by a long way
Delightful until it got boring
Not sure why so many people are hating on this one, I found it perfectly agreeable. An interesting and pleasant listen. Yes a bit silly in places, but surely that was intentional and part of its charm in its day?
Easy to listen to, lovely in places, got a bit samey and relentlessly melancholy by the end
