Harddd pass on this one. Another one of the "why is this album on the list" albums. Not sure what is redeemable about it. I guess it sounds sincere, but it doesnt sound good. I cant sing, and neither can the vocalist of the band.

its like a watered down, surface-level observation on race issues with bad beats. in my list, there were plenty of albums that have expressed it with a lot more passion, depth and musicality, so this album is just weird also whats up with racial affirmation ASMR in the middle of a music album?
like what im so confused this is straight up awful i was really excited to check out frank ocean, i heard a lot about him. and then i tune into this album and Im just confused? is there something i missed, some joke or is this a wrong album? it genuinly sounds like a first demo of an album, i mean, fuck, there is a song titled Crack Rock??? what the fuck is this shit?? this is awful even for 2012 jesus christ. flacid boring instrumentals like im listening to a dream pop album and out of tune whacked out vocals NNN
this might just be the worst album i have heard in my entire life. I disliked a lot of albums on this list, but no album has made me feel so much anger, irritation, hate and want to turn this shit off immidiately. Still I forced myself to sit through 5-6 tracks of this nightmare. its like some horrible demo tape that was accidentally released. there is nothing good about a single song on here. if I was held at gun point, I guess I could say songs had structure? but base sounded shit, keyboard sounded like a fucking joke, guitars were twatty little twangs that did nothing and the vocals dear fucking god the vocals what in the actual fuck hate to go for a low hanging fruit, but yeah, these guys have a serious fear of music, as in trying to make some good fucking music NNN worst album by far
like nails on chalkboard this is the most talentless album i have ever heard on this list. this must be some sick fucking joke. she cant sing, her lyrics are whack, the instrumentals are dated boring shit from the 90s. fuck this is straight up awful! ignificant 35/105 Liked 16/105 Added 4/105 fuck no, fuck no, fuck no

Maybe exciting for 1976, but now its boring and repetative.
its alright, might give it another listen
Pleasant, inoffencive - if a bit plain - album.
Interesting album, if a bit repetitive. Thanks for synthpop, Kraftwerk.
Funky, slightly interesting, dont like the vocals
This genre of music is not for me, but if I were to give my personal feelings about it, it would be as follows: extremely boring, safe, consumerism music that has a decent vocalist behind it, and its unimaginative and repetitive. She can sing, thats about it. So far the only album Ive actually did not manage to listen to fully, because it was so mindnumbing.
Previously I complained how the Joan Armatrading album was some really boring and repetative jam. It still is, but Id rather listen to her entire discography 10 times in a row, rather than hear another The Byrds album, which is soulcrushing, as I know there are like 4 more of their shit here? Its an offensive album that doesnt respect its listener. I couldnt care less about how influental it was then, but now it just wastes your time. There might be an interesting song idea in a song, but it is never developed, its just the same shit repeated over an over again, sometimes with a fucking jet engine roaring into your ear. The "psychedelic" part of the album remind me of when I begun learning guitar, and discovered I can make funny and random noises with it. Well these guys made an entire fucking album out of this. And its not good. Its random, but it doesnt sound like the guy can even play guitar properly. God I wish I could turn back time to never hear this shit again. I recommend anyone who stumbles onto this to listen to something good, like Rolo Tomassi - Time Will Die and Love Will Bury It. Actually a good album.
Couple of nice banger songs, mostly kinda meh.
Just plain boring and extremely repetitive. Seems to be a common trend among these "top albums". If I was fucked up on acid, I would probably enjoy it, but Im pretty sure I would enjoy 99% of all things in the world, so thats not a high accolade. The songs are too long, they dont progress and evolve the idea, its just really fucking boring.
Seems like Radiohead got quite a bit of inspiration from REM. Its not bad, its quite alright, some songs are very musically pleasant to listen to, some not so much, some lyrics are nonsensical and just make their respective song sound like filler.
Just no. Id rather not, ty, please god no.
Seriously? A live album? So instead of just the songs I have to listen to constant whistles and screams?
Started off strong, groovy and interesting, ended up being a complete snoozefest.
Just didnt really care for it
Nah Im not listening to another live album.
Not good, not bad
wow another UK psychedelic rock from the 80s. woo.
The beginning of the album was quite decent, but the entire second half made me want to boil lead and pour it down my throat.
Generic, consumer friendly, brit-pop rock or whatever. The sounds dont make me want to finish it, so thats a +1 star. It does sound like the most regurgitated album I have heard on this list so far, and its definitely not "have to listen to!" material.
Every song sounds the same, but the trombone sounds nice.
Just didnt care.
dont care for guitar strum-alongs, just not for me
I dont think there is a single redeemable thing about this album. It most definitely is the worst album I have heard on here, and it probably would top the charts of my all-time worst albums I have ever heard. Nonsensical lyrics, funny sounds in mixes, the flattest and cringiest beats and instrumentals that would make an average contemporary producer "take a trip to Belize", if you catch my drift. Im going to go on a limb here, and guess that Mrs Cherry is a nepo-baby, and her daddy gave her some cash to make this pile of waste, cause she wanted to prove to everyone that she got something special.
This album is an equivalent of a two old dry burger buns with a piece of old, moldy, mild cheddar slice in between them. Completely worthless. At least this list keeps surprising me with new flavours of "bad".
Such a huge difference between an album with ideas, written and recorded by actual musicians vs some shlock made in a shed. Its a nice, classy, jazz album, which I think warrants at least a couple of more listens to appreciate it more. Just for myself, Im going to leave a note of album totals: Significant albums 10/25. Albums I liked 4/25. Albums I have added to my library 1/25 (maybe Ill add REM and Chicago after a couple relistens. This one: significant, liked, maybe add later.
Very modern-sounding for 1976, which is a great sign of how innovative it was at the time. Its nice, chill, ambient electronic music, not particularly adventurous, but decent nonetheless.
Questionable lyrics aside, this record doesnt provide anything of value to the listener. Its boring, strum alongs that are very repetitive.
A lot of songs start off with strong instrumentals, but they just repeat the same idea without going further. Solos are interesting. Vocals are very samey and they sound like they were recorded at a concert with the amount of "yeah baby!"s in it. Historically significant, but doubt Id listen to it ever again. Significant albums 12/25. Albums I liked 5/25. Albums I have added to my library 0/25. This one: significant, didnt like, didnt add.
Finally an album I would be happy to add to my library. Never heard of Portishead before, but it was a very plesant album. Very nice and crunchy beats, atmospheric instrumentals, hauting vocals. Gets a bit simple by the middle, but has a very strong finish. I am not certain as to the significance of the album, but it was exciting and interesting to me today, so must have been quite special in 1994. Significant albums 13/29. Albums I liked 6/29. Albums I have added to my library 1/29. Significant, liked, added. This one: significant, didnt like, didnt add.
Had no idea what I was getting into, had no idea what I was through afterwards. Couple of interesting songs, plesant to listen to (not always). Overall a directionless record, but it was entertaining. Didnt sound particularly groundbreaking. Significant albums 13/30. Albums I liked 7/30. Albums I have added to my library 1/30. Not significant, liked, didnt add.
Harddd pass on this one. Another one of the "why is this album on the list" albums. Not sure what is redeemable about it. I guess it sounds sincere, but it doesnt sound good. I cant sing, and neither can the vocalist of the band.
Quite a miserable listening experience. It sounds like Jazz x Jazz for Jazz musicians. Continuous atonal wankery for the sake of wankery. No structure, no interesting drum-work, just constant piano and bass solos. And it doesnt go anywhere. Even some of the more obnoxious albums on here had something going. I could, for instance, recommend the Klaxons to someone that likes pop rock, or Neneh Cherry to someone who longs for 80s pop (I consider both these albums to be the worst albums I have heard in my life, quite frankly), but this? I suppose, as I said in the beginning, it might be interesting to Jazz musicians, but its unlistanable to 99.9% mortals, and its not even entertaining as a "wowza groundbreaking!" album either.
I am impressed someone managed to write an album with every single song being about heartbreak. Is there anything else going on in Adeles life? I thought that's Taylor Swifts thing. The instrumentals were nice, a bit safe for my liking. Adele can sing, and she does so extremely well, but it gets samey fast. Lyricism is decent, but as I said earlier, its all heartbreak songs. Id love a song about long drives across the country, or what she thinks is a perfect breakfast, or anything else but love, actually, Id give a point just for that.
Quite similar to a couple of latest albums, in a sense that there is nothing innovative or particularly interesting going on. Its just an album of songs, which have something in common. In this case, it is awful lyricism and bad flow/pacing, like he needed to do 1-2 more revisions of the songs but decided to ship it like that. The song where John feels he is allowed to say various offensive slurs because as a gay man he has been wronged by religion and his upbringing is an interesting one. And not in a good way. This was recorded in a studio, with dozens of people participating in it, and not a single one said "hey John, maybe lets not do this one"? Instrumentals are decent enough and I didnt particularly dislike the album. Significant albums 13/34. Albums I liked 7/34. Albums I have added to my library 1/34. Not significant, didnt like, didnt add.
Actually not a horrible album. However he majority of the songs are repetative and boring as hell. But there are a couple of nice gems that are decent, usually when the female vocalist joins in, makes the sound significantly more diverse than 99% of other psychedelic rock bands.
Sounds contemporary, in a way that it seems a lot of pop-music got inspired by it, and its the type of contemporary music I despise, safe, boring, painfully obvious. Lowkey gave me a headache too. Every song I had to double check the date of release, because it sounds like it would be released 15 years later than it actually was, so I suppose its significant enough. Cant be asked to check tho, it was very boring. Significant albums 15/36. Albums I liked 7/36. Albums I have added to my library 1/36. Significant, didnt like, didnt add. Previous album tho, cause I forgot - Jefferson Airplane - significant, didnt like (except a couple of songs), didnt add.
Hilariously bad. At some point I gave up and decided to listen to "most listened" tracks, one of which was Zip City. And I immidiately got hit by the 4 most basic guitar chords people learn day 1. Its so bad its actually funny. The guy that was making the list was super fucking high to decide that this is a "very important album".
The production is fucking horrible, the mixing is awful, druming sounds boring, drum solo songs are whack, bassist is trying to hard to be quirky and interesting, but he is a bassist, guitar is flacid and lame., vocalist sounds like an angsty nerd. Good time for a reminder that this list (not the website, godbless ya) was made by some random fucking guy. This album is piss.
Sound energetic and exciting, but is on a repetitive side. Little Richard can definitely sing, and it is enjoyable on most songs. On others its a bit of a miss at times. It was kinda fun tho. Significant albums 16/39. Albums I liked 7/39. Albums I have added to my library 1/39. This one: significant, ehh maybe liked?, didnt add.
Gimmicky, forgettable album. So forgettable I had to remind myself what songs are there on the album other than the "coconut" song. Peaks at rhyming "each other" with "each other" about 4 times. Mediocre af.
Lord, Lord, Lord Blues a healer, all over the world, all over the world Lord, Lord, Lord, Lord, Lord Healed me, healed, healed, healed It healed me It healed me, to heal me Can heal you, can heal you, heal you, if you let it He can play guitar, he cant write decent lyrics. Pass.
Started of pretty well, but then just ended up being kind of boring. Just the same "sound" repeated every song, with rather mediocre lyrics. Significant 16/42 Liked 7/42 Added 1/42 Not significant, didnt like (overall), didnt add
Musically curious, might have even been a 3 or a 4, but the guy cant sing for shit. It is genuine and emotional at times, but so out of tune. Id be interested in hearing a rerecording after the vocalist got better, because he certainly did, didnt her?
Just straight up painful. Every song sounds the same, every next minute sounds exactly like the last one. Jesus Christ this is depressing to listen to. Bob Dylan? More like Bob Skyplan cause I want to skip every song after 15 seconds. Significant 17/44 Liked 7/44 Added 1/44 *a long, howling scream*
Just dogshit. Id rather [description of immoral/dangerous acts] than listen to shit like this again. Listened to the first two songs, skipped around next three, hit the stop and hid the artist on spotify forever. Fuck this type of music. Significant 17/45 Liked 7/45 Added 1/45 Unironically fuck this album
Sounds like a pretty decent hard rock album. Couldnt help myself but think "man it would sound so much more exciting if it was like 20-30 BPM faster!". Overall, it was alright. Significant 18/46 Liked 7/46 Added 1/46 No, no, no
Surprisingly didnt hate it, but at the same time didnt care much for it. Mixing sounds kind of all over the place, but at the same time I think if someone enjoys this type of music, they can get a lot out of it.
Meh, boring, didnt like, L+ratio+didnt care+snoozefest+#NotMyElvis. Significant 18/48 Liked 7/48 Added 1/48 Nonono
Nothing stood out, overall okay, couple of nice hooks. Significant 18/49 Liked 7/49 Added 1/49 No, no, no
I went on a nice evening walk, just put in new contacts, admiring the brickwork and leaves, with this album playing in the background. Easiest time for any piece of music to be “special”. This one wasnt. Lamo from the 60s zzz.
Really enjoying jazzy influences in hip-hop albums. Never checked out Kendrick before this, but he has a similar vibe going as does Tyler The Creator. Really enjoyable, though some songs in the end were a bit meh when compared to how the album started. Strong finish tho. Significant 19/51 Liked 8/51 Added 2/51 This one: yes, yes, yes Previous: nonono xd
Some decent energy and relatively interesting. Feels like one of the "you had to be there". Impossible to deny its significance, but Im very doubtful Ill check it out again, sounds very samey. Significant 20/53, yeah Liked 9/53, eh, not for me? Added 2/53, no, I think more contemporary bands have developed on the genre for it to be significantly better, but its a nice historical album
Ah, the Mr. Brightside album. Its a nice enough pop-rock album, nothing to hate really, but apart from a handful of songs, nothing stands out, and even then, they arent too exciting. Its also kinda debatable from the "important albums" stand point. On spotify, first 5 songs have 100s of millions of listens, while the last 6 barely break 40 mil. Thats a well enough indicator that there isnt much going on in the second half of it, it just starts sounding quite samey. Significant 20/53, no Liked 9/53, yeah its alright Added 2/53, no, maybe Ill listen to it again at some point when I remember that Killers exist again.
The album started so strong, with ominous "Dirge", full instrumental, dark vibes, all good stuff. And then it promptly became a bunch of boring shit. Dated on arrival. Blegh. Literally me rn :| Significant 20/54 Liked 9/54 Added 2/54 nonono
As soon as I saw the album cover I knew I was in for a glorious treat. Yet another bunch of British guys doing what the do best, guitar strum alongs with exciting lyrics, interesting guitar passages and explosive beats. A fascinating, enthralling experience from start till end. I was completely charmed from beginning till finish. A very welcome change from all other British pop-folk-psychedelic albums of 1960-1980 from the conception till climax. They truly made something. They sat down and wrote songs and created some musics. I was on the edge of my sit from the onset till termination. Every new song made me feel feelings and experience emotions. Every emotion made me feel things and every feeling made me emotional. From the inception till conclusion. Significant 20/55 Liked 9/55 Added 2/55 No, no, no this album is piss, dont bother.
Decent enough jazz, not for my liking tho. The fact that the guys name is Thelonious Sphere Monk was more interesting that the album, sadly. Significant 21/55 Liked 9/55 Added 2/55 yeah, no, no
Its alright, didnt sound particularly special. Significant 22/56 Liked 9/56 Added 2/56 Y, N, N
I really like metal and most of its derivatives, extreme/harsh vocals are usually a plus, heavy and groovy guitar riffs are also a plus. How exciting to be given an opportunity to listen to some of it, with tribal/aboriginal influences! Sadly it sounded good only on paper. Riffs arent particularly groovy, there is little technicality other than power chords and guitar-dissonance-bends. Percussion in some songs was kind of boring, and the tribal parts of it didnt mesh well with the rest of the songs. Lyrics and vocals are the part where this album really falls apart. I appreciate that the album was made like 30 years ago, but its so dated. Low-quality poetry and somehow even lower quality fry screams and abysmal false chord screams. Sometimes Id see a music video from an underground band with like 15 views and awful production, but their vocalist sounds so much better. I guess thats just his technique, but its definitely not for me. I dont care much for nu-metal, but if I did, Id just listen to Korn or something, which did the same thing but a lot better. Overall, just not a pleasant listen, but I really wish it was. Suppose aboriginal influences make it stand out a bit more. Significant 22/58 Liked 9/58 Added 2/58 NNN
Its just old, horny, cringy shit with AC/DC vocals and boring guitars. Pump? More like Dump this shit and never listen to it again. Significant 22/59 Liked 9/59 Added 2/59 NNN, best thing that came out from Stephen Tyler is Liv Tyler.
Yes another britpop album. Doesnt sound too offensive, but definitely not significant whatsoever. No one will miss out if they dont check it out. I dont rate album covers, because usually they are passable or good, but I gotta say, this is one ugly fucking cover. Might have been a 2, but -1 for cover xd. Significant 22/60 Liked 9/60 Added 2/60 NNN I Should Coco? More like I Will Cocommit unaliving if I have to listen to them again.
Man, what is this album? I wanna talk to myself about two things that are of note with this list. I generally dont know anything about the next album, and I dont read reviews/wiki, I jump straight into it. I prefer to form my own, unfiltered opinion, and maybe afterwards there are things that could alter some parts of it. The second thing is that the vast majority of the albums I listened to from here were very mediocre at best. By my own stats, I didnt care for 38 out of 60 albums so far, and I have added only 2 to my library. Sometimes I wonder if this fact affects how I feel about the next record. If I probably will not like it, will this idea actually make me more likely to not like the album? With some degree of confidence, I think I can safely say "no". Because when I first saw this album - as mentioned previously, I dont look any info up - I thought "hm fuck is this shit, hope its not too awful". Then I started listening to it. First track was instrumental, and I assumed thats how the rest of the album would go, but that didnt bother me. Which is surprising, because I am quite lukewarm about instrumental albums/music. There are some genres that I prefer, like witchhouse/EDM, but generally, I dont particularly care for just electronic/instrumental stuff. So why did it not bother me? Why did I like the first song? Why did I listen to the entire album in one sitting, enjoying every song? How is it different from all other ones? I dont know. But this album is really fucking good. Significant 23/61 Liked 10/61 Added 3/61 YYY. What a pleasant listen/surprise. After I write my Very Important thoughts, and give a preliminary rating, I usually go look the album up, to determine its "historic" significane. Doesnt look like this was a groundbreaking album, but I think its significant enough to check out, if you are reading this.
Uhh okay singer-songwriter album type of thing. Whats the point now? Significant 23/62 Liked 10/62 Added 3/62 NNN Like I dont get it its like the most lukewarm album Ive heard here. Its not annoying at least.

I am trying to focus on the lyrics, its a rap album, so by default the instrumentals are boring and repetitive. But the bars are just so whack? I guess 30 years ago they were decent but now, oofie. Just dont really wanna listen to this anymore. Significant 24/63 Liked 10/63 Added 3/63 YNN

"I aint no architech Aint got the intellect" "Fornicator of the lasso Sperminator of the asshole" "Cheap thrills done and the dirt cheap ants 'Cause I got a headache in my pants" I was considering just leaving these actual lyrics from actual songs in here just by themselves, as they say a lot about the quality, but it wouldnt be fair to the music. The instrumental are quite nice, they sound punky, ramonesey, there is energy behind them. Some song progressions are nice, some solos are cool. The lyrics and vocals tho? Shiiiet, why bother? If its your fourth album, and these are the lyrics you are coming up with, just give up man. Most importantly, its most definitely not an important you really have to check before you croak. If you dont like punk like this, you arent going to get anything out of it, and if you, there are hundreds of bands that did it better, before and after this record. im not the biggest fan of post-rock, but this was relatively pleasant. didnt like vocals tbh hard to call it significant too, its more of "most popular" in this case. also didnt even realise the album has ended, cause next song by Red Sparowes (sic) sounded exactly the same, so thats a -1 point lol Significant 26/74 Liked 11/74 Added 3/74

I have a lot of thoughts about this album. Is bad musicianship actually bad musicianship if its intentional? Evidently, there are sparks of talent and decent sounding parts. I also think that this is probably one of the most polarising albums on this list. I can easily see how people can and do hate it, because it is an incoherent mess, key changes and tempo/time signature changes are for no purpose other than "because its kewl", and its somewhat of a pretentious hipster drivel that isnt going anywhere. I can see how someone can love it, because its a very unorthodox attempt at making something as far from mainstream rock/pop as it can be. Ultimately, music is art, and art is supposed to illicit emotions. But was the purpose of this album to illicit confusion and annoyance? I think, from "artsy" perspective, this can be compared to a Pollock painting. Most will say "its a mess" and question the sanity of people praising it, and people praising it will see some value in it, seeing some emotion in it, perhaps reflecting whatever they want to see from themselves. Ultimately, the question to me was "do I wanna listen to it again?", and the answer is a very confident "no Im good". Its weird to jump into albums blind, because when I first listened to this shit, I fucking hated it. Boring, spoken word poetry over mediocre, hushed music. And its some Christian/Religious concept album. Fuuuuck that. But apparently the guy was dying, and while suffering from pain in his living room, he recorded this as a sort of "final word" to god and life. I respect this.
Kinda boring and safe. Didnt like Billies voice as well. Wasnt particularly jazzy as well. I dont wanna sound like an elitist, but this is like jazz for beginners. boring and uncreative. the vocalists voice is weak and simplistic, +his rhymes are whack, guitarist learned how to do one thing and does it on every song throughout the entire song - extremely one-dimensional. bass and drums - well they exist i suppose. it was evident that it is a debut album. its just the same song sung 12 different ways. I guess the lyrics arent THAT bad. its punk, so its politically charged, but when everything else in the song is mediocre, its kind of hard to try to decipher the message Significant 30/94 Liked 14/94 Added 4/94 NNN I wasnt entertained.
i just dont care its boring singer songwriter shit from the 80s Significant 30/95 Liked 14/95 Added 4/95 NNN
thankfully, not another singer-songwriter album. sounds very experimental, disorientating and punky at times. not sure id listen to it again tbh Significant 31/96 Liked 15/96 Added 4/96 YYN(maybe?)

i am at the point where I can tell the album is a boring shitty folk singer-songwriter waste of time just by cover and name now. although, this one wasnt as bad as the others a very useful skill for the future, im certain Significant 34/101 (for previous one - the police) Liked 16/101 Added 4/101 NNN
So average, I zoned out both times I tried to listen to the album. Not awful, but Pettys little smirk on the album cover pisses me off. Significant 34/102 Liked 16/102 Added 4/102 NNN

some real mediocre shit brit-pop puke NNN
a bit repetitive, not as a commercialised sound as their later tracks, hate the vocals and the vibe YNN
what the fuck is this shit we start a song about some disgusting hobo-wannabe-child predator, followed by a song about a school girl who may be into that hobo?.. how do you propose the idea and the lyrics to the rest of the band and everybody says "yah good idea man"?? ah man followed by a throw-away song and then immidiately more schoolgirls... overall, whack, musically might have been a 2/5 NNN
pretty good, some iconic songs, i checked this band out before they were on this list (couple songs), didnt realise this album had these iconic songs pretty good some real stinkers here and there tho YYM
i got so bored and annoyed at times. no point listening to this in 202X NNN
droning singer songwriter strum along wank NNN

I had (and have) no idea who Frank Zappa is, I heard something about him somewhere, sometime, and this album did not change anything. I didnt feel anything. NNN

actually kinda uncomfortable to listen to NNN
it just sucks. never heard that many n-words in a hiphop album before either NNN
i actually hate psychedelic rock and every time i force myself to listen to it for more than a minute i become suicidal NNN
started off strong, but got boring and repetitive by the middlepoint. i really like electronic music, but in the 70s it was roughhh YNN
Quite frankly couldnt wait for the album to finish. There were sparks here and there, but overall it felt dragged out and uninventive YNN
What this list does, is keep you on your toes. A bunch of previous albums here made me think “jfc, why is this shit album on here?”. And every time there would be another album to make me think the same but stronger. Currently this one tops the charts. The ultimate what is the fucking point? NNN
its not a musical album, its like a sample album filled with repetitive shit NNN
yet another singer songwriter guitar strum-along, but this time with overdriven guitar mediocre at its best NNN
halfway through asked myself "why am i still listening to this?" NNN
its like a watered down, surface-level observation on race issues with bad beats. in my list, there were plenty of albums that have expressed it with a lot more passion, depth and musicality, so this album is just weird also whats up with racial affirmation ASMR in the middle of a music album?
quite fresh, minimalistic, nice background music YNN
its definitely significant, but not the type of music i enjoy listening to YNN
what an explosive and creative openning for such a mediocre album. its also waaay too long, with splashes of interesting and memorable bits. as some other guy here said, make it a 40 minutes thing with your best music, make me want more, instead of making me lose interest cause its all samey shit for 60 minutes weirdly enough, i kinda liked the album, but i dont think its any significant Significant 57/173 Liked 28/173 Added 6/173 NYN
like most hip hop albums, it isnt really for me. it sounds quite dated, and loses my interest by a third song, even if i start with bopping my head NNN
meh dont care for bobby d
this might just be the worst album i have heard in my entire life. I disliked a lot of albums on this list, but no album has made me feel so much anger, irritation, hate and want to turn this shit off immidiately. Still I forced myself to sit through 5-6 tracks of this nightmare. its like some horrible demo tape that was accidentally released. there is nothing good about a single song on here. if I was held at gun point, I guess I could say songs had structure? but base sounded shit, keyboard sounded like a fucking joke, guitars were twatty little twangs that did nothing and the vocals dear fucking god the vocals what in the actual fuck hate to go for a low hanging fruit, but yeah, these guys have a serious fear of music, as in trying to make some good fucking music NNN worst album by far
not really for me YNN
pretty good jazzy album I liked the licks that kept coming back YYN
good vibe and california dreamin is a classic but kinda get bad mojo from allegations 2.5/5 NNN
started off strong but there is only so many tracks about how hard ice t is i can listen to cars money women i shoot people in face bla bla me tough fk police NNN
Plain, slightly old, tap water Nnn
didnt really get it. Flashes of brilliance but a lot of vibrophone i think its called? I hope there is a more cohesive album of his on this list tbh NNN
as soon as the beat dropped, my heart and face sank it got better but not by much tbh NNN
with an album name like that you are just asking to be ridiculed. doesnt help that it sounds like the most generic garage rock there ever was! painfully mediocre. its like if ai made some punk rock lol NNN
boring electronic music from 90s. exactly what it says on the tin. not bad, but i constantly wished i was listening to something at least a bit more exciting NNN
not bad, average NNN
is not made for me NNN
actually hated everything. the music, the vocals, the lyrics appreciate historically tho YNN
sounds like its pretty significant for latin american music, but i didnt vibe too much with it YNN

EXTREMELY repetitive music. Language I dont speak isnt a barrier for me to enjoy music, but its the only thing that might make it interesting. Otherwise, if you heard first 30 seconds of the song, you heard the entire song. It doesnt evolve anywhere. NNN
its exactly what it says on the tin, jazz samba NNN
just kinda boring, a couple of nice bangers NNN
was fun and fresh YYM
boring singer songwriter folk siht again NNN
its ok NNN
I listened to this album like 5 times, and the first three tracks rock. But then I just lose focus every time afterwards. I guess thats an indicator enough that its not that good (the second 3/4). I liked the horns and stuff tho. YMM
its alright YMN
its not bad, and sometimes id feel like i would be writing similar guitar parts if i was into fingerstyle, but its definitely not something you have to experience in your life. its not bad, its just not particularly significant NMN
it just sounds like ass, a collection of random songs. by for not my favourite wife beatle NNN
Yeah no I straigh up didnt get it YNN
couldnt get past the vocals, simply not for me and from what i looked up this wasnt her best album NNN
i didnt get it YNN
lmao what the fuck is this shit? 8 minute long spoken word "song"? whats up with the audio quality? having no direction and no equipment to record your shit with doesnt make this groundbreaking, lmao i cant, this is fucking terrible what?? NNN what the fuck hahaha
i dont know why bruce springsteen is famous at all, its like the most generic singer-songwriter shit there is?.. NNN
i mean it was alright, but it felt like 5 disjointed tracks YNN additional note: i listened to the previous album on my list, nebraska, again, and i have to say, bruce stringsteen is such a fucking talentless hack, the entire album is just sing-what-you-see shlock
is this some kind of high-art shit about subverting the expectations of a listener? i dont know if i just didnt get it, but it felt really boring and repetitive there are a definitely more significant albums than this NNN
pretty cool album, every track ends up being distinct and different, a lot of different effects and ideas going on, some alright, some really good, some downright dogshit. special mention to red alert where the singing lady tries to hit the highest and loudest note she can, annihilating my eardrums. the sex moan song is kinda lame too pretty impresive as a debut album, not sure how significant, quite frankly. by 2000, shit was already approaching musical singularity ended up listening to it a couple of times, might even listen again MYM
I dunno it just go meandering all over the place, not being able to tie in pleasant (sometimes) passages together at all. And its evidently not her best album either. Ao eh? NNN
oh i had no idea that this bougie shirt i got at h&m was actually a design of album cover of this album! wowie! i love the waves!! it was alright, its significant, but it failed to really resonate with me, too many drawbacks to the record. i like some of the singles tho YNN over the last two weeks i listened to the king crimson album from two weeks ago off my list like 5 times its actually quite good, some parts are total bangers, but the second half of moonchild is complete dogshit also, minus points for not splitting tracks into actual tracks, instead of having 10 minute long abominations. just split the tracks, what if i dont wanna wait or skip through 6 minutes of the previous thing? YNN
quite bland musically, quite bland lyrically, couple of nice bangers that are relatively nostalgic, but they are genuinly alright. its not a bad album, but its not good, and its definitely not significant enough to be considered "blabla one of the greatest", its just a generic pop "punk". nothing in the world of music would change if this album didnt exist. In a vacuum id give it a 5-6/10, but in this list its a 4/10
evidently important for hip hop, but i didnt vibe with it as much YNN
interesting album. some songs are good, some might be good, but the vocalist never bothered to learn how to sing in key, and this was their third album, jeez. the noise part are lame as well, its just a wall of distorted guitar feedback with wah-wah effect, and its used way too often. but the shoegazy parts shine thru bright, and are interesting. i probably will come back for some songs in the first half, but last half is a complete write off. YMM
other than some popular samples, complete uhh? NNN
i mean i guess there is something deep down there that is okay? but its buried with boring ideas, horrible quality of recording and atrocious vocals like its just a random shitty british band from 1970s, wow, such important musics mm yes NNN
the intro track was okay, everything else was very very boring NNN
quite enjoyable, very low-tempo/ambient/atmospheric vibe, i prefer oki computa tho YYM
just not a fan of folk, its the same song every time with different notes and words, but the same nonetheless NNN
Boring instrumentals, flaccid bass, out-of-tune vocals recorded on a pumpkin. NNN
A lot of people have and will argue that "this album is considered to be a critical success only because Bowie died, without his death, no one would care!". Well, yeah, the entire point of the album is how Bowie accepts his inevitable demise and uses it to produce his final record. Its pretty decent, with Blackstar and Tis a Pitty She Was a Whore being the weakest tracks on the album, but it picks up and stays hard and solid until the end. Even if musically you may not like it, there is something haunting about anticipating death and creating something for the very last time, especially for an artistic person such as him. YYM
Mediocre. French whisperings into your ear, while jazzy instrumentals are playing. Not exactly groundbreaking. NNN
funny to listen to the first time, but id be totally okay never checking it out again. maybe once more in like 20 years? NNN
kinda repetitive and boring, didnt really get much out of it, i prefer contemporary electronic music Significant No 76/229 Liked No 36/229 Added No 10/229
this is unironically redneck-country "my wife left me for another man and i sleep under the stars" lol NNN
I usually try to at least listen to the entirety of the album, but I got really bored by the 4th song. I really dislike how the vocalist(s) overuse vibrato in songs. Other than that my life has been completely unaffected by this album. NNN
decent, rocky-country vibe going on, if im ever in the mood for that, id listen to it again (ill never be) YMN
its not bad, and has flashes of greatness (and not so greatness), but im overall not much of a fan of stoner-rock or w/e the genre is YNN
it was quite fresh at first, but it never develops on the idea, its very repetitive YNN
I dunno it was really boring and I just wanted to move onto a different album. Vocals are good, but they are the only thing of note here. But they arent used to tell an interesting or compelling story. Nnn
there is a lot going on, and not much of it is exciting or interesting whatsoever. she is a very good singer, but that doesnt make the album universally good. halfway through the album i thought to myself "i already dont remember a single thing from any previous tracks", so chances are i will forget this album has existed alltogether by the day after next NNN
more contemporary spin on singer-songwriter shlock. not bad not for me bored nnn
well this is an album that was straight up not made for me, its nothing like music i enjoy judging from the length of wiki article: NNN
wow yet another bob dylan banger. Im sure it will not be the last NNN
kinda disappointed, big iron is a classic, the rest is ok NNN
started off neutral but then i started really hating this by the middle nonsensical lyrics, average vocals with off-key medioce moments, boring instrumentals entire album sounds like a down-tempo vibrato exercise. fucking boring! NNN
i came back to blackstar a couple of times, but i was born 30 years too late to enjoy this one YNN
every time i see brace for springsteen and bored dylan i kinda wanna automatically skip it, i dont get the appeal at all. clearly he is super acomplished and all, but how, its just lame singersmongwriter ahhhh NNN
I was actually excited to give a Taylor Swift album a proper listen, but dear god did it dissapoint. Not only it is mediocre and repetitive, it is more than one hour long! What for? Its all the same! There are a couple of nice bangers here and there, but they definitely are not anything groundbreaking. This album is equivalent to chewing gum in nutritional value. Boring, average instrumentals to support Taylors voice, which is great, but every song is about the same thing, I stg Taylor needs a therapist ASAP. Anyway, this is nothing interesting for 2014, its like the safest, mass-consumtion-largest-target-audience PRODUCT, not art. Completely unsignificant in terms of larger artistic landscape. And its not bad, but its nothing special. NNN
i really did not like it at all NNN
fucking hell this was boring and lame NNN
i mean its not bad, but its not super exciting either YNN
how dull and bland and bland and dull one hit wonder through and through NNN
dear lord i had to skip this album on the second song, if i hear one more word slur out of this guys mouth i will end it NNN
just chilling vibing nothing special but cute 3.5 YYM
A bit dated Ynn
like what im so confused this is straight up awful i was really excited to check out frank ocean, i heard a lot about him. and then i tune into this album and Im just confused? is there something i missed, some joke or is this a wrong album? it genuinly sounds like a first demo of an album, i mean, fuck, there is a song titled Crack Rock??? what the fuck is this shit?? this is awful even for 2012 jesus christ. flacid boring instrumentals like im listening to a dream pop album and out of tune whacked out vocals NNN
this is not a joke I will keep them safe every member of the byrds i am not joking i am serious i am stalking them I will do it to them I hate it NNN
overall it was alright, im not a super big fan of new wave and the way the bass and synths sounded in the 80s (and drum machines. come to think of it i hate most of the instrumentals). but it would be silly to deny significance of this band. spotify also played Mad World by them automatically after this album, and it sounded weird af, plus made me feel very uncomfortable knowing it actually is the original YNN
i mean okay if you heard one country album you heard them all its not bad, just isnt special NNN
i dunno it just kinda sounds like shit. horrid vocals, repetitive guitar, like whats the point NNN
Undeniable classic, very significant for rock music, but I just didnt jam with it. Ynn
flaccid, boring, safe there isnt much interesting going on there at all NNN
a bit weird listening to this after OK computah and in rainbows, but it grew on me after a couple of listens YYY
i dunno i tried to listen to this like 3 times and couple days later i cant remember a thing about it. just pleasant little nothingness NNN
Boring af songer songwriter shlock, every song sounds the same. NNN
halfway through i figured id just say "painfully average" and give it a 2/5, but it got worse somehow? its so fucking bland and boring and repetitive, maybe 3 songs on this album are any different from the grey mass of whining and sad fucking guitars god the guitar riffs sound like shit, this isnt music, this is angsty fucking losers jamming together anyway the 2-4 songs that are different arent good different, they still fucking suck. god whats a waste of fucking time NNN
Live album + shlock 70s metal + never heard of them + shit vocals + boring shit + mix is awful NNN
i dunno just kinda plain and boring and painfully average NNN
i dont like it, the vocals are grating, this isnt made for me NNN
starts of strong, but i cant recall a single thing from 4th song onwards after 3 relistens NNN
forgettable nnn
straight up didnt get it, need relistens YNN
not for me, wanted to switch to something else, and did NNN
im surprised this is one of the worst albums rated on this website its far better than dozens of others albums i already listened to here, but, sadly, its still not particularly good. intro is strong, but everything from track 5 onwards completely lost me YNN
not bad didnt hit hard kinda boring YNN
kinda boring YNN
XD LMFAO EVEN XD PASS NNN
its not bad but just not for me YNN
got really bored NNN
bro im not listening to an OST from a movie from 1971 what? why? NNN
Boring, i wanted to skip every song, and I did. Moondance the song is nice, but there is waaay too much flute in my left ear. Nnn
quickly turned into background noise not bad not super interesting YNN
if we are putting things from 2018 onto the list, they better be fucking amazing. last two decades were shattering borders, allowing everyone with an ounce of talent and hard work to become famous, never before was it so easy to find new music to enjoy and never before was it so easy for musicians to release it. and this aint fucking it, the music is just really fucking boring, plain, empty, begging for more metaphorical musical juice in the mix, its just boring boring BORING bored i am bored listening to this. props for having two versions I guess? NNN
its not bad but its just generic pop NNN
Mmm yes folk singer songwriter yes please Nnn
boring droll NNN
Not bad but not for me Ynn
Absolutely insufferable voice to listen to. Quite decent instrumentals, but dear lord I am not going to listen to this mf whine for two hours Ynn
its a lot better than their third album, at least i can tell someone is having fun YNN
I dunno kinda boring Nnn
I had to stop at the 4th song, there is only so much crywanking and missing someone songs i can listen to in a row YNN
impressive how modern this sounds, but not for me YNN
ahh neil young, my long-term musical nemesis. its been a while since ive heard an album of his and id be happy for the next while to be even longer NNN
i dunno i dont even have anything to say really just wanted to switch it off 90% of the time tbh NNN
holy fucking lmao this is straight up nuclear fucking garbage. is this some joke im just not in on? why the fuck would anyone listen to this? i guess if you are missing out on some out-of-tune whiny pathetic fucking vocals and basic-ass guitar strumming this is your cup of tea but then i, presonally, just wouldnt respect you as a music-enjoyer this is so fucking lame lmfao i just fucking cant. most talentless shit ive had a displeasure to listen to. thank fuck i only checked out 6-7 songs instead of the entire album but god its so fucking bad i cant even find the words to describe it that are not "fucking" and "bad" NNN this is pathetic shit, id give it a 0 if i could
beautiful voice but very repetitive NNN
eh its alright, probably wouldnt listen to again, free bird solo is cool YNN
Forgettable and redundant Nnn
meh NNN
boring singer songwriter nnn
kinda boring NNN
melow kinda boring eh YNN
the instrumentals and samples sound really fresh and good, but the rapping is just lame and boring. also not important, there was plenty of better hiphop before 2k NNN
Common from a day before wishes he was D'Angelo. Really good and pleasant. YYN
weird flex but ok nnn
way too repetitive YNN
not for me repetitive as hell annoying NNN
this guy is like the most one-dimensional singer in the world i cant fucking stand any more of these singer songwriter folk country fucking albums how many of them are here? you could group 100 of them into one album and just skip all this repetitive shit fuck man its so annoying it hurts me in my knees NNN
yeah thats a rough listen NNN
meh dont like gangsta hop plus all the intermission were annoying af important for the genre tho YNN
its trashy, sounds like trash, and is just not good at all, noone needed to hear this in the year of our lord 2025. NNN
not for me, dont care for somewhat basic political messages if they are wraped in a singersongrwitersingalong wrapper YNN
i just kinda enjoyed it a lot, even tho i dont really care that much for the genre, gave me real fallout NV vibes not sure it is particularly significant tho MYM
oh its just so long and samey interludes are lame and boring, i dont wanna listen to random sounds and turbines or whatever this album could be condensed into a much tighter record, its way overindulgent YNN
sounds like hard rock condensed, not bad not amazing NNN
this sounds like shit from the prehistoric era YNN
i just didnt care ngl
not for me NNN
yup sounds like british punk alright
bit plain
too jazzy for me plus i hate live albums YNN
annoying
i got bored
we eating good today, two 5/5 albums in a row
boring singer songwriter droll, some songs have a decent vibe but thesinging is abysmall only one decent track in the middle of the album but it also gets lowkey ruined by singing in the middle (things behind the sun) NNN
Its alright its a classic dont care for the genre that much Ynn
pretentious wank
quite grating but its interesting historically
yeah i dunno i never heard of david crosby and id be fine not finding out he exists, no offence to you mr crosby kinda boring the singing is bad some music is interestingish NNN
meh NNN
I really quite like this album, its a really strong debut, and more complex than the newer albums (doenst mean much tbh). It was my first introduction to synth-pop, and it was just really-really pleasant throughout, with some interesting twists here and there and a "feel nice" shine on it.
