Nope. It's the vocals more than anything, as I tend to like the guitar sound, but the tracks are all over the place and I cannot find a way in that I like. Not for me.
Red Hot Chili Peppers · 1 likes
1/5
I hate this. The tracks are far too long, as is the record (75 minutes?!), the lyrics are absolute shit, and the songwriting seems to be a jam session between three people who are trying to figure out what's next. Fuck's sake.
Linkin Park · 1 likes
4/5
Loads of bangers, couple of fillers.
Little Richard · 1 likes
5/5
This is exactly what I wanted. One of these artists of which I knew just a couple of songs, and the record is just one bop after another. Short, to the point, wild. Actually punk?
Couple of the songs nicely filthy, bluesy. I really like this.
1957? OOF.
Beatles · 1 likes
1/5
This is... not so good? The tracks are all over the place, there's no coherence whatsoever, the screaming is just bad, and I have no idea why this is hailed as a good record?

Stan Getz
3/5
First response: nice. Warm and sensual, good Summer music. In the end perhaps a bit samey.
Fleetwood Mac
2/5
I really like the hits, and have only listened to Rumors and the Best of... So this is different, and it takes some adjusting for me. Slightly too many meandering, dragging tracks. It does pick up pace halfway through, becoming more enjoyable for me.
Very clearly a 'skip Side A' record for me. Second half is really enjoyable, even if too meandering to my liking at times. Ends fairly weak as well.
Too bad, expected more.
Little Richard
5/5
This is exactly what I wanted. One of these artists of which I knew just a couple of songs, and the record is just one bop after another. Short, to the point, wild. Actually punk?
Couple of the songs nicely filthy, bluesy. I really like this.
1957? OOF.
Beastie Boys
2/5
Too slow, too silly, not my record. It does have a couple of nuggets, but it's not for me.
Amy Winehouse
4/5
Absolute surprise, I really like this. Great production, good energy, a bit of raunch, and great vocals. Impressive! I don't think I would have liked this when it came out, but now I'm here for it.
Ramones
2/5
This is the type of punk that I don't really like. Every song sounds the same, but the basis of the songs is just repetition of a lack-lustre 3 chord-programme, with a vocalist whose whiny shout becomes very stale, very quickly.
Black Sabbath
4/5
Very nice! Classic of course, but great production, overall excellent songwriting, even if a bit tedious here and there.
The Rolling Stones
2/5
The arc of this album seems completely off? Opens very strong, then dips into a silly ditty, then into a fairly horrific simp. Not too impressed.
The singles are okay I guess, but nothing here will remain lodged in my mind. Going Home is the most useless waste of record space I've encountered in ages.
The Police
4/5
Bass-driven, almost 2-Tone driven synthy rock. I like it, a lot. Even the slower songs, even though somewhat cheesy, are impressive. Great sound! 'Mother' is WEIRD, but I'll take it.
Siouxsie And The Banshees
3/5
I really like the music. Odd structures, great, driving bass, sharp guitar lines. Post-punk avant la lettre. The voice is what sometimes becomes too much for me, the theatricality doesn't always work for me.
The Who
2/5
I am not a fan of prog rock. I can hear why it's good, sonically, but it does nothing for me.
There are some good tracks, definitely.
The Rolling Stones
1/5
This is so ridiculously dull, and stupid, it baffles the mind why it would be on this list. Next Rolling Stones record that comes by I'll skip. Absolute shit.
Peter Tosh
3/5
Decent! Not my usual music of choice, but this I like. Good vibes, great rhythms, not as laid back as I anticipated? Production is really well-balanced too. Will revisit!
X-Ray Spex
4/5
The saxophone takes a bit of getting used to for me, but the punk is GOOD. Excellent vocals as well, this is wild! Great bass sound, great songwriting. Yep, I really like this.
Norah Jones
2/5
I like her voice, but overall the music feels too murmuring for me. A bit too mellow. The husky, smooth sounds start to grate after a while.
It's nice, I guess. But nothing I'd want to listen to again by choice.
Beatles
4/5
What I like best are that the songs all seem to be small, self-containing universes? It doesn't sound like a record with an arc, but all tracks work.
Even though there's a drug-addled silliness here and there, it doesn't break that particular spell. Perhaps because it's fairly short? Ending dampens the joy a bit though. Still, so much better than the Stones.
Michael Jackson
4/5
Excellent production, but the songs are all a bit too long? I know it's a testament of the times, but they can all lose 1 - 2 minutes of repetition.
The speaking parts are absolutely horrible.
The hits are hits for a reason, and overall it's a nice record. But I won't be revisiting this one.
Daft Punk
2/5
Far more interesting than anticipated. Great beats, excellent production, but also very dynamic in its tracks. Halfway through the record hits a dip though, Rollin' and Scratchin', Teachers, High Fidelity are just boring, and the record never fully recovers. The second half misses the energy of the first, perhaps because the record is too long as well.
Talking Heads
2/5
I can hear why it's good, but the rhythms are slightly too samey for me, and the quirky guitars annoy me more than I like them. Songs are slightly too long as well. The gloomy atmosphere is kinda impressive. But I'll never play this again.
Youssou N'Dour
4/5
Interesting! The song structures are meandering and surprising, the sound quality is excellent and the entire record has a sound and a vibe that is new to me. I have to admit that the voice somewhat dampens my enthusiasm, but that's because of me.
Depeche Mode
4/5
I don't understand why it took me so long to listen to this. So good, wow. Excellent production, great voice, the hit songs don't stand out so much as everything is of high quality. Again, bit of a dip towards the end, but it does end gorgeously. Amazing album.
Radiohead
3/5
Good sound, great songs in the first half. Second half kind of peters out, again. What is it with pop records that they NEED to be 50+ minutes when 30 minutes would have been excellent? Plenty of bangers overall, better than I remember. But too long.
The Sonics
3/5
Nice, good to hear some classics, and wild that it is so old. Fun to hear, won't revisit.
David Bowie
4/5
I had never heard of this record, know no single song. I like it though! Great vocals, good songs, excellent production. This is a really good pop album. Haunting ending too. Strong start to finish.
The White Stripes
1/5
This record is all over the place? Slightly too repetitive for me. The voice of Jack is grating, too often. As Ugly As I Seem is the least worst track here?
Not sure why this is in this list. There's no cohesion, no memorable tracks. Odd choice this.
Blondie
3/5
Amazing voice, great production, but I am not too big a fan of the slightly more Motowny tracks? The choirs don't do much for me either. That being said, the overall songwriting I like. The hits are hits for a good reason, and most other tracks are pretty good as well. Second half is stronger than the first, nice.
Barry Adamson
3/5
Not sure what's happening, but I like it? I had to read the Wiki to confirm this, but it felt like a dark exploration of a big city, and it kinda is. Really cool.
Anthrax
3/5
These vocals are not my thing. Very NYHC. I do like the music though, even though most tracks are too long. They do sound kinda samey after a while. Nice, but won't revisit.
The Beach Boys
2/5
Interestingly dark! Classic Beach Boys vibes, but then gothy almost? Yeah, interesting, but no real hits, and nothing I'll revisit.
Pixies
4/5
This is really good. Wild, raw, great vocals. The songs are effective: short and intense.
Public Enemy
4/5
Really like this! Classic beats, great flow overall, really nice. Doesn't let up either, strong for the entirety of the album.
Bob Dylan
3/5
The voice slightly grating, the tracks slightly too repetitive. Nice production overall, and the lyrics tend to work as well. I have to admit that I am more of a Cohen man. But this is okay.
Stevie Wonder
2/5
I cannot like this. It's trying too hard, going in all directions. Production feels very dated to me, and I know it is, but it impacts the quality of the songs for me. Of course, the hits are bangers. Even so, doesn't save the record, it takes too long and feels unbalanced.
Sam Cooke
5/5
This is great! You can hear everyone enjoying themselves, the vocals and energy are wild, and the production is rough and therefore great for a live show. Audience participation is amazing, and this is a night I'd have loved to be at.
Curtis Mayfield
1/5
This is not my style of vocals, at all. Musically, low-energy funk doesn't really cut it either. I like the overall idea behind the record, but this doesn't land with me.
Coldplay
3/5
I hadn't heard this record in a good 20 years, and I was surprised how many songs I still knew. Good songwriting, good production, good vocals. Kinda loses its energy in the second half.
Nirvana
4/5
It's one of those records that I never listened to, because I knew most of the songs already. This was a nice surprise, as a lot of the tracks were new to me, and they are GOOD. Wild, unhinged at times, but always full of energy.
Nick Drake
5/5
I mean, not fair. I love this record.
Slayer
4/5
Short, harsh, samey. But BANGERS.
ZZ Top
3/5
This is nice! A bit thin in production, but overall just good ol' rocking men.
Beatles
3/5
Nice. A bit too light for me, everything feels very old-timey, minimal guitars and all, but a bunch of good tracks.
Mudhoney
3/5
Everything But The Girl
4/5
Never considered listening to them. I was wrong. Gorgeous atmospheres, amazing vocals, this is great! Yep, really like this!
Jacques Brel
2/5
I really expected a lot of this, but I feel underwhelmed at the end? All very samey.
Curtis Mayfield
1/5
I really don't like the vocals. Overall, this is too samey and repetitive. Nope, not for me.
Derek & The Dominos
1/5
Tame and meandering. Not my vibe. Too fucking long as well.
Tom Waits
5/5
Absolutely love this. Huge fan of slightly later Tom Waits, but you can hear the brilliance here as well. And the drinks.
Willie Nelson
4/5
I actually really liked this? Great atmospheres, gorgeous voice, nice!
Fairport Convention
4/5
I really liked it! Should've listened before, nice, twinkly folk.
Miles Davis
4/5
The first jazz album I bought. Still holds up, but have to admit it's slightly too laid back for me now? Still, really good.
Sade
4/5
Smooth, hot, lush. I like this!
Richard Thompson
1/5
Forgettable folk. Lame, tame and nothing to ever want to hear again.
Rage Against The Machine
4/5
I love this record, but it is too irregular in energy. Too quickly they shift from raging metal to funky bass, too often.
The Pogues
2/5
It's nice, but becomes very samey, very quickly. Still, nice.
John Lennon
2/5
A bit dated overall, but nice songs.
Willie Nelson
3/5
Nice, I like how it maintains its vibes, how short it is, and the overall feel.
The Cure
5/5
Untouchable masterpiece.
Black Sabbath
3/5
His voice becomes grating after a while, and the songs rule in simplicity. Pretty good overall.
The Adverts
4/5
Never heard of them, absolutely love it! Punky, leaning towards wave, good lyrics, very British, great!
Bob Dylan
2/5
Songs are too long overall, and his voice isn't what I want.
Pixies
4/5
Great sound, short and urgent songs, a bit weird, nice!
KISS
1/5
Jesus, this is lame. The 'rock' songs are formulaic and dull, the vocals are horrible, and this entire shtick just doesn't work for me. And HOW REPETITIVE CAN YOU BE, goddamn.
Gorillaz
2/5
Too laid back for me, but there's a couple of bangers. Still, a full album of this is not what I need, even when it is very well-produced.
Fugees
3/5
Nice flows, good production, but too laid-back for me. Skits are slightly too stupid. Picks itself up during the second half though. Pretty cool, overall.
Rush
2/5
I HATE the vocals. Good lord.
Musically, it's nice. Very meandering/prog, which I'm not too fond of, but they make it work most of the time.
Queen
4/5
Yeah, this is great! Never listened to anything but the Greatest Hits, I think? Lot of gems on this one, loads of weird rock and roll, I like this a lot.
Orbital
3/5
I would have never considered playing this. Glad I did! Far more dynamic than I expected, and the music keeps on giving? Really nice. I really like it, until the last two tracks. They're too much, for me.
Marilyn Manson
1/5
Fuck abusers. Musically: dull and repetitive. If you know the music of the time, you'll hear nothing original.
Björk
5/5
I think it's a masterpiece. The production is somewhat dated, but the vocals are out of this world, the songs are varied and condensed, and the overall atmosphere is mesmerising.
Paul Simon
3/5
I have some memories of this record being played in the car, on our way to holidays destinations. That said, most of the tracks ring no bells whatsoever. It's interesting, and the songs go all over the place, but they maintain a sense of unity. I like it, overall.
Electric Light Orchestra
5/5
I was raised on this, and I love it. There's a constant drive, the harmonies are excellent, songwriting is intelligent and vibrant. Great, great record.
Love
3/5
I am a fan of 60s and 70s Dutch folk, and I can now hear where they got their inspiration from. It's psychedelic, but not completely over the top, and I really appreciate that. Nice record, even though it peters out!
2/5
I mean, I liked the Beatles so far, but this record is just all over the place. No coherence, no line, a couple of good tracks. Disappointed. Good Morning is a fucking disgrace.
Paul McCartney and Wings
2/5
It's all a bit dull. Couple of nice tracks, but very, very repetitive, and lyrically unimpressive.
Prince
2/5
It's a two-hour long mishmash of ideas that don't always work. Couple of bangers, but Prince's voice becomes too squeaky for me after 90 minutes.
Coldplay
3/5
I remembered this record as 'pretty good', and that still stands. My issue is the complete draining of energy whenever they play a soppy song. When they go all out, I appreciate the overall vibes.
Leonard Cohen
5/5
Untouchable genius.
Killing Joke
4/5
I love the industrial nature of it! The vocals are for me a bit hit or miss, but the general drive and aggression I really love. Becomes a bit repetitive here and there.
Heaven 17
3/5
It's interesting. There's a weird pop-sensibility to these tracks which are actually angry post-punk. It kinda works, but the voice for me is a bit grating after a while. Nice though, overall.
Booker T. & The MG's
2/5
Kinda nice, but very dated. I do miss the vocals.
AC/DC
3/5
Never listened to a full album before, and I now know why. It´s the same song they play, all the time! It´s a good song though!
UB40
3/5
It´s good, overall. The laid-backness does become a bit tiring, but there is a haunting darkness everywhere as well, which keeps it interesting. Even so, too long an album.
Blur
4/5
Happily surprised that I really, really like this. The record sounds fun, loads of variety in songs and vibes, great sound. Really good!
Nico
3/5
Mesmerizing. Her voice takes some getting used to, but it has a certain haunting magic. The music adds to that as well, overall it's being lost in a weird kingdom where something just doesn't seem right, but it's beautiful, so let's see where we end up, I guess?
The Doors
1/5
My god. I thought I would like the Doors, but no? His vocals become grating after a while, the lyrics are horrible, and the music is so dull?
Elton John
2/5
Not my vibes.
Pearl Jam
4/5
Great record, has a slight dip in tension in the second half, and Eddie Vedder's vocals start to annoy after a while.
Linkin Park
4/5
Loads of bangers, couple of fillers.
Ian Dury
3/5
Kinda like the British Tom Waits? Wild, bawdy, weird. I like it.
Arcade Fire
2/5
It's fine, I guess? For me, it sounds like run-of-the-mill early 00's indie. And I remember the singer being a bastard?
Funkadelic
1/5
Nope, not for me.
Jane Weaver
3/5
I like it! Not really distinctive for me, it reminded me of a bunch of similar sounding artists, but good atmospheres and nice songs.
Sufjan Stevens
3/5
He just takes too long. I can hear and see why it´s objectively good, but goddamn, get to the point man.
The Byrds
1/5
I have absolutely no idea why this is in the list. The most mediocre country ever. Nothing memorable.
The Rolling Stones
1/5
I really, really hate their music.
Bruce Springsteen
4/5
Yeah, this is good! Great atmospheres, good lyrics, I like it.
Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
4/5
It's a very bleak and stripped down Cave, and I like it a lot!
Jefferson Airplane
3/5
I actually liked this! Especially the slightly rawer songs, but overall the songwriting is very good. Yeah, nice surprise.
The Darkness
2/5
It's kinda fun? But also very derivative, and repetitive, and I have no idea why this is in the list.
Led Zeppelin
3/5
Not a huge fan of the vocals, but most tracks are nice.
Marvin Gaye
4/5
Classic for a reason, really love the production and songwriting, the voice at times a bit too melodramatic for me.
Tom Waits
5/5
Infallible record. I mean, I have tattoos of this record.
Genesis
2/5
Far, far too long. I kinda appreciate the effort, but there's just too much, and a lot of it is just not that good.
Deep Purple
3/5
Nice. Some of the songs, for me, are too meandering, but when they rock, they ROCK. I like it.
Frank Sinatra
2/5
Too outdated for me, alas.
Creedence Clearwater Revival
2/5
Nothing memorable here, but it nicely jugs along I guess?
Serge Gainsbourg
3/5
Fun, in a way, and definitely weird. Interesting.
Carole King
4/5
I knew far more songs than I expected, and the ones I didn't know still sounded familiar? Amazing songwriting, great vocals.
Common
2/5
Nice, I guess. A bit slick, but well produced.
Keith Jarrett
4/5
I really liked it. It's a bit long, but the general flow of it al was gripping. Really nice!
Franz Ferdinand
3/5
Nice, overall. Indiepop with its own sound.
2/5
They have their own sound, which is impressive, but the creepiness becomes repetitive after a while.
PJ Harvey
3/5
I liked it, but was expecting a powerhouse, a very intense record? This was nice, good voice, good songs overall.
Joni Mitchell
4/5
Slightly mesmerised. Really appreciate ui!
Duke Ellington
4/5
Yep, awesome.
The Velvet Underground
2/5
Kinda dull and lame? Nothing that I will remember.
Gram Parsons
1/5
Has this list been made by the whitest man alive? This record is dull, uninspired, tepid.
Alanis Morissette
3/5
Her voice becomes grating after a while, but plenty of bangers here.
The Rolling Stones
1/5
Why are there a million Rolling Stones records? Fuck this band.
Sigur Rós
4/5
Gorgeously ethereal, but a bit too much.
De La Soul
3/5
I don't like the skits, they drain a lot of energy, but the tracks are really good. Great flow, excellent rhymes, kinda understated, which I really like.
The Fall
3/5
Quirky, odd and intriguing. Not a huge fan of the vocal style.
Burning Spear
2/5
It's nice, I guess. But nothing that will stick with me. Reggae that sounds like all other reggae I know.
Neil Young
3/5
Pretty cool. The voice took some getting used too, but good tracks, couple of nice surprises too. Southern Man I really liked.
Iggy Pop
2/5
The hit songs are bangers, the rest feels a bit filler. I find the style slightly too all over the place to really enjoy.
The Doors
2/5
The hits are bangers, the rest is filler. Too much noodling.
The Mothers Of Invention
2/5
Not my thing per se. I can hear why people would like it, as it is well produced, and has some nice licks, but doesn't land with me.
4/5
Surprised! I really liked it. I thought I'd find the voice to whiny after a while, but no. Great songs, great vibes, really, really good.
The Temptations
2/5
I expected a lot from this, and I feel kinda meh. Couple of nice ideas, but especially the first half is convoluted, a bit too jammy, and then side B goes all repetitive. Meh.
Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers
2/5
Fine, I guess? The voice starts to grate after a while, nothing I'll play again.
Beatles
1/5
This is... not so good? The tracks are all over the place, there's no coherence whatsoever, the screaming is just bad, and I have no idea why this is hailed as a good record?
Dusty Springfield
3/5
Not really my music, but gorgeous voice! It's still kinda fresh, and the mix of country/pop/soul does work. Nice.
PJ Harvey
2/5
I really expected a lot of this, but I don't really connect. VERY 90's in production and vibes, so a bit too disjointed for me.
Johnny Cash
5/5
Abolutely love it. Excellent vibes, everyone's having fun, the songs are short and to the point. Great!
Metallica
5/5
My favourite Metallica album. All killer no filler. It's cold, it's harsh and still it's full of energy. Magnificent.
Neil Young
2/5
This is soooo tame, lacking any energy. Doesn't resonate at all.
Maxwell
3/5
SLIGHTLY too smooth for me, but well produced, I do like the vocals, and it is a nice listen.
The Beta Band
2/5
Very, very calm, kinda nice?
Lynyrd Skynyrd
1/5
Jangly songs that take forever, a vocalist that's uninspired, nope.
Pink Floyd
3/5
Yeah, I like it! Didn't expect that. This is slightly more subdued Pink Floyd? Not too spacey, not too weird, good vocals. Yeah, nice.
The Smashing Pumpkins
2/5
Nope. It's the vocals more than anything, as I tend to like the guitar sound, but the tracks are all over the place and I cannot find a way in that I like. Not for me.
American Music Club
3/5
I read a review on how this sounds like the band of that co-worker who keeps inviting you to their shows in the local bar, and then when you go, you nod along, and slap him on the shoulder afterwards. This really sounds like that. Nice.
Red Hot Chili Peppers
1/5
I hate this. The tracks are far too long, as is the record (75 minutes?!), the lyrics are absolute shit, and the songwriting seems to be a jam session between three people who are trying to figure out what's next. Fuck's sake.
Neil Young
1/5
I don't understand why Neil Young's full back catalogue is on this list? Tepid.
Iron Maiden
2/5
Kinda nice, I guess. Somehow the early works never really do it for me, but most tracks are pretty good.
The Prodigy
5/5
Wall to wall bangers.
Gary Numan
4/5
I really liked this! Became a little samey, but vocals and production are great, and the songs were far less dated than expected.
Ice T
2/5
Not my jam. Production is SO 90S. His vocals are too monotonous for me, too deadpan. Good flow, definitely, but not for me.
LCD Soundsystem
2/5
Repetitive until it's boring, not my jam.
R.E.M.
2/5
Like, I love R.E.M., but not his record. I have no idea why this is on the list? It's the most tepid, bland version of R.E.M. Nothing is like, bad, but nothing is good either.
Bob Dylan
2/5
Van Morrison
2/5
I am happy he had some fun. The songs are all kinda okay, I can hear why people like the record. Doesn't really do it for me.
Aimee Mann
2/5
This is fairly tepid, non-committal pop. I have no idea why this is in the list.
The Prodigy
4/5
Really liked it! Some tracks are a bit too stretched, but nostalgia did its work. Nice.
Elvis Presley
2/5
Kinda okay, I guess? Drags itself along, not a lot of bangers, meh.
CHIC
3/5
Nice. Couple of bangers, most tracks a bit too repetitive for me. But nice.
John Martyn
1/5
A lame Nick Drake? Slightly too wafty, not as intense, far too repetitive.
Marvin Gaye
3/5
Far, far too long. But I like it, I knew none of the songs, but they all have a decent to good flow, and the vocals sound sincere.
Charles Mingus
2/5
Not really for me. I want it to lean more on the bass, I guess? This felt too light, too whimsical for me.
Van Halen
3/5
It's okay, I guess. Production-wise fairly tame, tracks are fairly repetitive, vocals not really my thing.
Otis Redding
2/5
I mean, nice voice I guess, but everything is so tepid? No idea why this record is in the list.
Baaba Maal
4/5
Very cool! Never heard of him, this mix of musical styles really works for me. I love Mdou Moctar, and I feel I now know where he started from. Cool!
The Cardigans
2/5
Really far too twee for me.
Rahul Dev Burman
3/5
Nice! Something new for me, kinda weird that it is a movie soundtrack, but cool.
David Bowie
2/5
I don't know, this is one of these albums that I heard heaps of praise on, and then when I hear it, it's...okay? I was promised raucous and wild, and for its time it might be, but this is just...fine?
Supergrass
2/5
Kinda funny and jangly. Fake 80s style in the 90s?
The Damned
4/5
REALLY good. Harsh, wild, some interesting, calmer stretches. Really cool.
Adam & The Ants
3/5
Kinda nice! A bit punky, a bit wavey, a bit gay. Like it.
Various Artists
3/5
Fun, nice, but a bit too samey.
Aretha Franklin
3/5
Yeah, this is nice. Good voice, couple of bangers. Nice.
The Killers
2/5
Excellent bass sound, woah. Yet, the record feels all over the place? Couple of bangers, but too disjointed for me.
Muddy Waters
3/5
It's everything blues, which I really like! Almost has a 'live in a dive'-vibe, that comes through.
Elbow
2/5
A bit too whispy, ethereal.
Björk
2/5
I know why it's special, but it's too off-kilter for me.
DJ Shadow
3/5
FAR too long, but really cool.
Jimi Hendrix
1/5
Dull. Hardly any track that isn't a jam gone wrong? I expected a lot from this, bitterly disappointed.
Thundercat
4/5
Really cool. Short, snappy songs, great flow, interesting vocals. Really liked this.
Sepultura
4/5
It's just too long. That final jam takes off the star, as the rest of the record is amazing. Max Cavalera for life.
Ms. Dynamite
3/5
This is a good pop album. Good production, not too long, also because it is nicely diverse in songwriting.
AC/DC
2/5
This is... uninspiring? The same track, all of them too long, a record long?

Yep, liked it. Full of energy, nice production, couple of true bangers. Nice!
Billy Bragg
5/5
Perfect album.
Songhoy Blues

Good! I don't really hear how it's different from Mdou Moctar and others, but it's good!
The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion

Not for me. Unhinged in a way I find not amusing.
Parliament
2/5
I'm just not made for this music. Everything sounds the same, it all sounds like a jam gone on too long.
Elton John
3/5
It's really, really long. But it has enough variation, and enough bangers, to get away with that. Nice.
Sepultura
3/5
It's a good album, but slightly too long and repetitive.
Joe Ely
3/5
Hilarious in many ways, I kinda liked it!
Eminem
2/5
FAR too long, couple of nice ideas, won't play again.
The Strokes
4/5
This really surprised me. I always saw them as "the same as Interpol and all those bands" and never really gave them a chance. But this is good! Short, to the point, angular at times, snarky.
The War On Drugs
2/5
Kinda nice, but far too generic. Babbles away in the background.
Sarah Vaughan
3/5
Nice. Great voice, decent songs, fine.
John Prine
3/5
Yeah, liked it. Good lyrics, good songs, nice.
Suede
2/5
Too on the nose in the Bowie-worship? It's okay, but nothing I'll revisit.

Violent Femmes
3/5
Nice. Jangly, odd pop. Kind of raw? Nice.
Manic Street Preachers
2/5
I expected to like this, but it evades me. Jangly, but not in a good way. The vocals become grating after a while. It all feels a bit samey?

Portishead
4/5
Really good. Great vocals, excellent production, impressive.

Jungle Brothers
3/5
Pretty cool. Great flows, decent production, yeah, I like it.
Prefab Sprout
3/5
Pretty cool. Very 80s British, but one of those bands I would have never checked due to the name. Nice.

Just a tad too long, but wild, raucous and intense, I really like this.

Very dryly produced, kinda samey, okay I guess.
The Isley Brothers
2/5
This is a glorified cover record, filled with jams that are hard to remember.

1/5
Vapid, forgettable 00s indie.
ZZ Top

All of them bangers? No. LOADS of them? HELL YES.

2/5
Far, far too long. Fairly samey, and besides the hit songs nothing that really lingers.
Cheap Trick
2/5
Side B saves this album, Side A is DULL.
Judas Priest
3/5
Not too big a fan of the vocals, but most songs are pretty good.

Again, and again, I feel I get the same kind of records. Nice, but nothing memorable.

1/5
Boring, derivative, repetitive.
Talking Heads
2/5
Fine, nothing that pops out. A decent pop album.
The Modern Lovers

Nice, bit nostalgic of course, very much of its time. But couple of bangers.
Beatles
2/5
Too long, too many silly songs.
Penguin Cafe Orchestra
3/5
Nice. It, just, murmurs away, kinda cutesy?
Meh. The quality is all over the place, as in, truly differing sounds, and the tracks have no real depth.
Anita Baker
1/5
Nope, not for me. Overproduced, holier-than-thou gospelslop.
Massive Attack

3/5
No real hit songs, but an overall very steady, pretty strong record.

Again, everything sounds the same, not a memorable song in sight. Sounds okay.
The Doors
2/5
Repetitive and dull, but with a banger here and there.
Green Day

2/5
