This is such a cool concept, and I'm a huge Metallica fan, so I came into this hoping for greatness, but it just falls short in places. Many of the arrangements leave a lot to be desired, some are sick as fuck though. Mixing is inconsistent throughout. James' voice is really rough on a few songs, Puppets is especially awful. Never listened to Load in full (why would I?) and Hero Of The Day is probably now my least favorite song by the band, what the fuck is that thing. It's still a really cool record overall but I wish it was better, if that makes sense

idk why but I've been on a huge kick with these guys lately, this is the third time I've listened to this album this year, no notes 11/10

I really liked this album when it came out, was such a change for her and felt like a breath of fresh air for pop music. Hasn't aged super well and the filler tracks are boring as hell, but Blank Space still bangs.

Stan is legitimately incredible storytelling, the production on this whole album is top tier, it's kinda hard to rate though? Like em's talent is obvious but the general misanthropy makes it hard to give it a 5. Also rap skits, not just on this album but in general, fucking suck.
