In Rainbows
RadioheadNot really my thing.
Not really my thing.
Nothing life changing or remarkable for me.
Great album, but I prefer life’s rich pageant and document more
Not really my thing.
There are better Zeppelin albums out there. The lead track on this one is known, but I can skip the others.
Solid from start to finish. My TOY song was going to be Blitzkrieg Bop
Nothing other than "classic rock" - Who's Next is better IMO.
No thank you.
Forgettable noise.
One needs to acquire a taste for this band; I lost that taste a long time ago.
Fantastic album with some classic jams.
Not the best Prince album.
zzzzz
There's better music from him.
Why isn't 0 stars an option here?
Dreams, Go Your Own Way, The Chain, etc.
I have an original pressing of this, but it's not my favorite Bowie.
I don't own this Bowie album, but its ok.
I don't mind this, but I prefer earlier brit-pop like the Stone Roses, James, Supergrass, or Oasis
No thanks.
Bowie doesn’t get much better than this. Best era of Bowie and an album full of bangers.
There's some songs on here that I appreciate more now that I've been able to marinate on this album for 25 years. I wasn't a fan initially.
Nothing to say here. Johnny Cash is great.
Someone failed New Wave School.
The Killing Moon is one of my all time favorite songs.
How many times has My Generation been covered? I know Green Day covered it 30 years ago. This is a decent album.
A few gens; Strange Love is a cult classic
Cool Thing and Mote are classics
Eh, not that great
Needs either the Byrds or Stills and Nash
I like this
This album wouldn't be on here if it didn't contain Bohemian Rhapsody.
Not my thing
Great stuff!
This would be a good listen on a lazy day.
Some classics - Good Times Roll, Best Friends Girl, Just What I needed, etc.
LOL no
No thanks
Eh, normal 60s meh.
Not my thing
I could listen to this on repeat
Some classic hip-hop track son here from the mid-90s.
The Byrds have some decent tunes here, but nothing out of the ordinary for the genre.
Some definite classics here.
It's bowie, just not my favorite bowie
Nope
NO
Moz. Not the best, but still Moz.
Meh. Not a fan.
Little Wing is here, but not much more.
NO
Not my thing
Listened
This album served a purpose for post-punk way before the world knew it needed it.
Some classic Motown here.
Couple of hits, but meh.
Wasn’t really a fan of them
Classic
Not my thing.
They got too popular.
This isn’t my favorite Souixsie release, but there are some classics here. Where’s the Bauhaus entry?
This is a review of an album by the Black Keys I like El Camino better!
One hit wonders that are overplayed on Sirius 33.
We really didn’t need another who album on this list, much less a live one.
Classic
Meh.
Not particularly anything.
Starting to wonder where they picked these 1001 albums from; perhaps the discount or “free” bin?
The last great entry from REM; some favorites here.
Bennie and the Jets and a few other tracks are here, but nothing else stands out.
This wasn't horrible, but it was too popish for me.
Nothing special here at all.
Not my thing either.
There are a few tracks on here that are ok, but I don’t ever think that I could settle into a “I’m listening to Neil Young” mood.
Easy top album of all time entry here. Maybe top 20 for me?
The amount of samples present + the amount of times this has been sampled by others = 🤯 Would I ride around blasting this? No. Did it make me Google samples then download an app that helps identify samples and usage? Yes.
I don’t understand the reason why live albums are on this listing. I can understand why the Allman Brothers Band would be on the list, as they are phenomenal. Three stars for the ABB, but not for a live album
This is my least favorite of the first four Pixies albums. That would put it behind Dolittle, Surfer Rosa, and Come on Pilgram, respectively.
No Woman, No Cry, and not much more here
Meh.
If you’ve never watched the version of Wizard of Oz that is synced to this album, go do it.
Not sure why this album is here.
I was never a huge Van Halen fan, but I appreciate some of the hits on this release.
Not my thing
Not my thing.
🤮 I think that the creator of this listing is a sick, demented little man who sits in a dark room all day long researching horrible albums.
Funky, but not get a high score funky.
Bobby McGee and me approve this album.
Rikki Don't Lose That Number and other songs...
I will be pursuing legal action against the purveyors of this listing for unsolicited mental anguish as a result of their lack of musical taste. For this to be someone’s album of the year for 1997 is disturbing, as the sound of toilets flushing would be far more entertaining.
🤢🤮
Pretty sure that I’ve heard this on more than one occasion, it’s not good, but it’s good.
🐝 hard to believe this album is over 30 years old. Fantastic stuff.
An eloquently soothing voice. I appreciate her.
Beyond excruciating
Just jazz.
The only think I liked about this album is Stephanie's name being in there.
The Passenger and Lust for Life stick out - as they were covered and used over and over again in media. Aside from that, not much here.
Some people really enjoy early Cure. I prefer The Head in the Door, Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me, and Disintegration.
One of my friends likes Rush, but that's not me. This is uneventful and Tom Sawyer isn't here either.
This album made my ears smile.
The bird is not going to make it.
There are some classics here, but nothing I would habitually listen to.
Pretty Hate Machine was a phenomenal album for its time, but by time Closer arrived I had lost interest in Trent Reznor. Closer was overplayed in clubs and the industrial sound of NIN wasn’t anything special.
Screaming intensifies, interest dies.
N O NO.
Classic hip hop
I was never a huge GNR fan, but there are some gems here.
Funky funky.
I can respect this for what it is. While it is not something that I would cruise around town blasting, it is something that is a decent representation of it's genre.
Great early 80s punk with Henry Rollins on vocals. Not as strong as the previous EP, but still influential.
Queen of soul
Funkin' awesome jazz. I like it.
Classic album.
I didn’t care for the album at first, but after a friend urged me to listen again it grew on me. Not the hugest U2 fan, but this album and Rattle and Hum had some gems.
The album that really introduced pop-punk to the world. Although their previous releases were far better, Dookie received a warm reception and pushed the genre into the open. The overplay caused me to stick to prior releases and eventually almost abandon the band until recent years.
Not sure what these guys were trying to accomplish, but they failed.
The album art should probably get more stars than the album :) Seriously though, this was before my time, and I have only really heard the tracks on classic rock radio. I do appreciate Wish You Were Here, but the album drags on. I am not legally able to modify my consciousness in a way that I can appreciate this music.
This should be called "Layla....and some other songs." There's some good blues on here, but Layla will always be the top track.
I don't think that my review of this album will be fair, as I'm a huge fan of The Clash. I never really jumped on the Sex Pistols popularity, but Strummer and the rest of the band grew with me over time. I think I started listening to them before I hit 10 years of age, and that spread into adulthood. Joe Strummer is easily one of my favorite musicians. This album features some fantastic tracks, London Calling, Hateful, Rudie Can't Fail (easily one of my top songs of all time), Spanish Bombs, Lost in the Supermarket, Koka Kola, Death or Glory, Train in Vain, etc.. I would also recommend Sandanista, the B side dubs on Super Black Market Clash, and Combat Rock amongst others.
I played the first few chords of this with my 7 year old in the bar. She disapproved, as do I.
Fantastic album.
There are a few hits here, but the album is average.
A mixed bag of stuff. Brass in my Pocket is probably the song I’ve heard the most outside of later releases.
Pretty sure that all the Spotify plays for the first track of this album came from this horrible list generator.
I appreciate Clapton, and I can see how this album was popular in its time. Just not something that I would run around listening to 60 years after its release.
I never really got into Radiohead. The one song I know is Creep and I prefer the J Church cover of that.
This is my #2 pixies album behind Dolitte. Gigantic and Where is My Mind have been on mix tapes and playlists for the last 35 years.
There is nothing about this album that makes me want to listen past the first 30 seconds of the first track.
Nothing special. Monotone and repetitive
Not a fan of this.
Loaded is a far better album than this hot mess.
I would not drive around blasting this, but there are some tracks here that are musical masterpieces and phenomenal songs.
This would have been bad in the 80s, it's atrocious now.
I have friends that would probably listen to this, but I gravitated towards much more accomplished artists in this era.
Nothing spectacular outside of early punk. Thankful that Johnny Thunders went on to create the Heartbreakers - but aside from that? Meh.
Smooth Criminal is the only saving grace in this album. Off the Wall and Thriller capped his career.
Another of my all time favorite albums. Jane Says, Ocean Size, Mountain Song, etc. This album was a few years too early for the world to totally respect it, but it’s still great 36 years later.
I remember when these guys came out, it’s mid-level hip-hop - but far better than most other rap of the time.
Forgettable.
Outside of Golden Years, this doesn't offer up much from Bowie.
Holding Back the Years is here, aside from that there is nothing worth noting.
Another list failure. I wish I could rate negatively.
There are some classics on here, and he's a great guitar player, but nothing I would drive around blasting.
Nothing great here.
Nothing spectacular.
The Beatles - not the best beatles, not the worst either.
I'm sure I might have heard this before, but it is catchy.
This album has a LOT going on musically and historically.
No.
Not the hugest fan of Neil Young, but Cinnamon Girl is on here. That track was covered by the Stone Roses and Smashing Pumpkins amongst others.
This album's popularity is most likely because the Time of the Season song. Aside from that it's forgettable.
This was uneventful for me.
If Elenore Rigby and Yellow Submarine were not on this album, it would be forgettable.
Another album that should have never made the listing.
Meh. Catchy at first, but then forgettable.
I forgot these guys existed. Middle of the road album for shoegaze fans. I prefer Jesus and Mary Chain far more than this. Lush, Curve, and Catherine Wheel are also valid Shoegaze acts.
Would this album be on the list if the song Running up that Hill wasn’t featured on Stranger Things?
Aside from Come Together, the rest of this album is uneventful.
There is nothing here that is anywhere remotely worth my time.
This is some fun funky funk for feeling fabulous... https://youtu.be/vdj5Ts8asdQ?feature=shared
I was never a huge Floyd fan, yes there is some talent here, but this is not an album that I would purposely listen to.
Nothing worthy of more words than this.
I had a friend who bought this album 30 years ago. I also remember him throwing it out the car window while I was driving 90 down A1A at night.
Not really my thing.
Smoooooooth Jazz is back. I would listen to this driving, working, cleaning house, etc.
Ground control to Major Tom.. don’t listen to this album, it’s total garbage.
This is relaxing and comforting music for me. I'm not a huge Cat Stevens fan, I really like "If you want to sing out.." which resides on another album, but this was a good listen.
Meh. I've heard some of these songs in clubs, but honestly, it's not my thing. There was better Brit alterative at the time.
Never cared for her.
Nothing life changing or remarkable for me.
I wish I could unhear this.
Forgettable noise.
Some people love this guy, I'm not a superfan, but can listen to him every now and then. I wouldn't go out of my way to add him to a playlist.
Garbage
Trash
Muddy Waters is classic - this live album is ok.
Meh. Better than some of the other trash that has dropped lately, but not by much.
They tried to be interesting, but failed.
I know of this band, but I they never made it into my rotation. I could go down the post-hardcore/punk/emo genre for days, but this band never hit the spot for me; as there are so many other offerings that outshine these guys. Fugazi, Jawbox, Husker Du, Jawbreaker, Texas is the Reason, Sunny Day Real Estate - I could go on and on.
This band never really did anything that peaked my interest. Their song Creep, which isn't on this album, was great when it was sung by J Church. Other than that, they provide no musical worth to me.
Not horrible and catchy to a point.
The artist title is more memorable than the artist's tracks. That being said, I've heard Perfect Ways more times than necessary.
Only the Good Die Young and some other songs. Some people adore Billy Joel, and he is talented - but he doesn't do much for me.
Solid album from start to finish. I’ve listened to this album hundreds of times, and some tracks thousands of times. Definitely has withstood the test of time and continues to hit playlists and streams.
This album’s existence is proof that drugs negate brain cells.
A fantastic debut album, it was overlooked when released. Solid offerings.
Old Man and Heart of Gold might be classics, but they don't make a top album.
It's middle of the road Zeppelin. There's better Zepp records.
Hungry Like the Wolf, Rio, and some other songs.
Classic old school country with Merle.
This should be dropped out of this listing.
I never cared for this release. Fast Car was overplayed on the radio and that turned me off to the artist entirely.
One song does not an album make. This makes elevator music sound like heavy metal.
No interest.
"What you do to me" was the only track I recall from this era. I do remember them doing a kickass version of Madonna's "Like a Virgin," which is musically superior to the original.
Meh. No More Mr. Nice Guy and some other songs...
Live albums don't really have a place here.
This album is easily one of the best of all time. I Wanna Be Adored, Waterfalls, She Bangs the Drums, and This is the One have been on mixed tapes and playlists for over 30 years. I’ve read books on this album, watched documentaries on the band, etc.
Another fun 90s entry. I'm not a huge fan of them, but there are a couple of catchy tunes on here. Far more friendly than the gibberish that this list throws at you from the 60s and 70s.
There are only a few electronica/techno bands that I would pay attention to, and I know this band may be considered the grandfather of techno, yet there’s nothing here that tickles my ear.
Iggy Pop has his moments - there are a couple of tracks that shine on this album, but not much more.
There are far better releases from this band that I would play from start to finish.
Not feeling anything.
If I could rate this entire album based on the song \"To Be Young\" it would be five stars. There are some other great tracks on here, but they don't share the same sentiment or energy of that track. That being said, this is the album that led me to purchase several other Ryan Adams releases and Whiskeytown releases.
Sorry, Coldplay is a non-play for me.
Someone tried and failed.
This is another classic album. It's not for everyone, but there are some tracks here that are staples for the band.
Why is this here? She had one song in the 90s.
This is not my thing, but there are some great tracks on here that aren't as popular as Once in a Lifetime.
Not the best release from the Pogues, but definitely one to listed to. Fairytale of New York is brilliant, as are several of the other tracks.
Not my thing, but there's lots of funky beats here.
Skipping this new wave offering...
Pop hair rock
