DAVID BOWIE YIPPEEEE hes such a legend rip fr stay kind of sounds like song off the new geordie greep album (sry for making the comparisson)
- one track in and i already hate his voice. he sounds so bored it doesn't match the music at all - this sucks i hate this - ten tracks in and finally said not one but two slurs back to back!!!!!!!!!!! - despite the use of slurs, this my favorite tracks, its so fucking unhinged. wish the album kept up this energy - Theres a bonus track on the spotify release and I actively celebrately when I realized i didn't need to listen to it. this is the shit i'd imagine 63 year geezer barry would put on the juke box at the ye old pub and wild out to. Too bad I am 18 year old canadian who is incapable of understanding most of the british centered humor on this album. I would turn a blind to that if the music wasn't ass, ts suck so much holy shit.
obnoxiously 80s, i love it
album filtering tf outta yall. this is what i thought black midi sounded like before i started listening to them
funky, just as i expected it to be not to sound like an old man but modern musicians should go back to fucking around with panning effects again. why don't we experimental with stereo sound anymore. this album has so many parts in it where a single instrument is panned to one ear and like background vocal is panned to the other side. it weird aid the in the groove and rhythm of the music its kind of fun.
i fw with chamber pop so im already excited. big music genre descriptor has me worried that this is gonna start sounding like imagine dragon or some other bs arena pop-rock anthem band/songs/album - first two tracks had crazy sound selection, felt like it was really pushing the boundries of indie rock; unlike anything i've ever heard very good songs -track 3 is what i expecting from this record. not nearly as experimental but still cool regardless -track 4 fs feels like a continuation of the dense and experimental sounds from first two "neighborhood tracks". i can definitley hear where the big music genre desprictor came from on rym, and surprisingly im not hating it as much as I though I was. its not super corny and overproduced. actually id argue its overproduced in a good way if that makes any sense cool shit - i liked track 5 i just wasn't paying attention tbh - track 6: i like this one, not as experimental but still very enjoyable - track 7: the arena chant at the beginning has me worried, this might the albums first miss. yeah i don't really like how triumphant this track is trying to be. the lyriscm isn't strong enough to justify this significantly less interesting production on this track. this is what i was worrying that this album would sound like. oh no stomp and holler, stop please god no, ik for a fact this album already did ts, but that transition was not subtle at alll - track 8: production sounds a bit washed out in weird, definitley intentionally. i like the song, but it still kind of feels like a poor attempt at making something perhaps a bit psychedelic of sorts idk why i writing like this - track 9: idk about this one, its just a bit off to me idk - track 10: intro vocals remind me of bjork a bit for "millennial stomp and holler", i didn't hate this as much as i thought i would. the experimentation on the first few track is cool and for sure interesting to listen to, but it sounds very overproduced. The songs without the crazy dense production struggle to be as engaging as the as for mentioned first few track. Still very enjoyable but flawed
i know al green because he was referenced in that one kanye song track 1: good but i'll probably not return to it much if i i'm being honest. for some reason this tracks album art on spotify has slightly different color grading than the rest of the tracks on this album and it really confusing me. track 2: i felt this one idk how to explain it but i felt it track 7: this smooth as fuck goddamn. not that other tracks are bad, but i wish they were all smooth and subdue like this one. however i feel like that would get old if im being honest. i like how this one stands out a bit in this tracklist track 8: surprised to find only one song that sampled this on whosampled.com, that intro so sample worthy I don't listen to a lot of soul, so I don't have much frame of reference on whether or not this is "good" soul, however sound-wise this is great. Al's vocals are wonderful, production feels a little dated, but that's expected from an album from the 70s. But those smoother tracks like How Can You Mend a Broken Heart and Judy are timeless (and my favorites on the album).
predicting it now, im not gonna like this one track one - this sounds awful on streaming. i know the original vinyl version is probably better. the panning is so off and the vocal are way too loud reading up on their history as group is way more interesting than album itself. these mfs freaky asl. fuck you john nasty ass pos its alright i guess, however i will likely never return to this album
been on my listening list for a minute now, glad i finally have an excuse to listen - so far i've enjoyed every track with nico on lead vocals - venus in fur is fucking crazy. weird asf, can't imagine how it must've sounded in the 60s when it first came out - the guitar solos on run run run is sick af. they sound awful in a good way idk how to explain it - love the way the tempo on heroin swells to correspond with the lyriscm. whenever lou reed references taking shot of heroin the beat speeds up, thats sick af. this a song is perfect holy shit i feel 1960s (somewhat) mainstream weird doesn't really translate well to 2020s weird. This album still hold up today surprisingly. Heroin induced noise rock bullshit fuck yes. Some tracks are for sure more experimental than other, but even the more contemporary tracks manage to still be engaging despite them significant less interesting than the wack ass shit like Heroin and Venus In Fur. Lou Reed is a crazy good song writer, and Nico offers soothing break from the noisy chaos that is this record. 9/10
Erm this the stranger thing album! Frick yea. Real talk im intrigued - track one is really good but its mad overplayed - side A was good but i don't have much to say about it -side b is far more interesting and weird Overall, a very good 80s progressive pop record. You best of both worlds: Side A got bangers and Side B is super weird and whimsical.
idk why the rating so low. this is great sober and probably life changing high. Me and the hatman finna get turnt to this shit i jus gotta pop 12 benedryls first. this album is for realer geekers ONLY
First Listen: 06/07/2023 First album I got on here that I've already heard before! Idk it cool instrumental album. kind of goes in one ear and out the other, but like in a good way. It's peak background music
more songs need to be in the key of life god damn this is good
its alr ig idk. not really my thing
they really made a symphonic prog rock cover of a Russian suite from 1874, and all the music on it sounds like SNES music (it came out in 1971 pre-dating the SNES by like almost two decades). Truly a one of a kind of a kind experience that I'll probably not want to experience if I'm being entirely honest. Cool album though. The synths sound really dated and silly, but in my opinion it makes this record more charming. I'm not going to get much replay value out of this for me unfortunately.
dad music. not really for me but i can see the appeal
all ik about the yeah yeah yeahs, is that evilgiane sampled them on polo perks classic mixtape punk goes drill. big fan of the crazy ass vocals on here. Makes a lot of these tracks a whole lot more interesting. me likey
he giving me that real goon stare
the ambient stuff on here is a whole lot more interesting than the jazz if I'm being honest. cool concept for an album, curious of what the film would've been like if it was a real film.
its good ig
good. im not a big fan of old hip hop. im too newgen for ts. imma go back to listening to nettspend
kind of just feels like the same song 10 times
hes cool i like his music. i'll probably have most of his discography listened to before this website gives me another one his albums
album filtering tf outta yall. this is what i thought black midi sounded like before i started listening to them
cool blend of indie rock and weird electronic shit. very well executed and feels kind of unique, at least it does to me. theres probably other albums that do this exact thing, but this is my first time experiencing it. i fw it
i've only heard their first album, Funeral, and it seems like they've traded the strange experimentation for consistency. every track is the same level of okay, and for that its definitely more boring than their first for me. still alright though, I've heard way worse albums on this site
probably gonna grow on me a lot. i like it a lot
hell yea
not really my thing i can see the appeal though
i dont like it
usually don't enjoy old rock and roll music very much, but liked this surprisingly. ill never listen it to this again, but i enjoyed it.
its music
https://youtu.be/68KWlxzZS_I?si=judZAAQO-yOjExe8
i was worried this was gonna be another basic run of the mill 80s hard rock album. It kind of is, the but the little bits of funk thrown in here keeps it interesting and refreshing.
good ig
i always hate getting these 80s hard rock albums but i almost always enjoy them. badass af album and pretty fun, although i'll probably never listen to it again
cool
whoa a recentish album she made royals and i think thats pretty cool
mane ion wanna listen to this shit this album is making realize how awesome nu-metal is i wish this was nu-metal. if linkin park made this album would be eating it up do not want to meet the person who favorite track on this album is don't tread on me. NO FUCKING WAY THIS IS THE ORIGIN FOR THE GADSEN WTF LMAOOOO. they created a monster thats so bad holy shit i feel so bad for them (after more research they became the anthem for the gadsen and it was just a coincidence, crazy)
made the creamiest mac and cheese i've had in my entire life while listening to this i fw this more than i thought i would
cool and creative album sonically, crazy that this from the 70s. dudes got really weird vocals but I don't mind them. sick ass album art too. what a hidden gem
Fuck yeeea
why do ppl give af about them getting back together
zzzzzzzzzzzzzz
No way they got me listening to 2 hour long album good if you have a lot of free time
probably not for me. don't really get the appeal
i love the nu metal scratches wish there were more of that on here. still great though enjoyed this way more than i was initially expecting to
loved their previous album, expecting to love this one too. While I enjoyed Nico's presence on their last album, she felt pretty out of place on the album considering the album mostly dominated by the Velvet Underground rock songs. So listening to the Velvet Underground on their own is gonna be interesting to hear. somehow less accessible than their previous work. This is such boundary pushing music, its so crazy experimental and out there. Like their last album it still holds up surprisingly well in a modern context. This with some 60s heroin is something that i wish i could've experience, however i was born in 2006 and have been scared of drugs ever since I greened out on like 20mg weed edible.
veteran by jpegmafia, track 16
some really cool ideas however it overstays its welcome if im being honest. I was done with this album by track 8. crazy that there is an extended version that doubles the track list to 34 songs. Jealous of the fans of this album because they got a lot of music to enjoy. unfortunately im not one of them
DEFINITLEY not my thing. nothing bad about it, i just dont really like country/folk if i'm being honest. i liked california stars though that track was kind of nice
Album kind of reminds me of the ratchet and clank ost for some reason Its not that bad. Im not super familiar with breakbeat music so if the generally considered to be bad breakbeat, then consider intrigued by more highly regarded breakbeat albums As for this one: There's some interesting and creative production on here, however most of the album feels a little drab. Nothing horrible though.
i forgot he made that song sexy af omg kanye sampled distant lover thats so cool 454 SAMPLED JUST TO KEEP YOU SASTISFIED! PLEASE LISTEN TO 4 REAL BY 454 ITS SOO GOOOOOOOOD
cool ig Feels like something that should be right up my alley. However this isnt really doing much for me idk why
whenever i listen to reggae all I think about is that one time my white uncle to me and my cousins on drive in his beaten up bush car around the forest trails at my grandpas cottage. He pressed play on the cd player in the car and it was just some random reggae comp cd. So we were just barreling down trails in the wood at like 100km/h while blasting bob marley or something like that idk. albums cool ig, but i don't get much out of it. reggae not really my thing, but i can see the appeal
FIRST LISTEN: 06/13/2023 thought it was kind of overrated on first listen. but i still enjoyed it. my main exposure to jazz rap is from more modern artists like The Alchemist, Madlib, MF Doom, etc. who tend to sample jazz for their beats. This album feel like Jazz rap in the literal sense. No instrumentals are bad, but they're all really minimal, resulting in a lot of beats on the album sounding very samey to me. The rapping is pretty good I guess. I wish i enjoyed this album more if im being honest, but i don't really get it tbh
i do not want to listen to this shit. i almost gotta concussion today, i lowkey wish i was hospitalized so i didn't have to listen to this nvm they made the duck dynasty theme this actually the best album ever albums not even that bad, i just don't like out of 80s/70s hard rock album. i get like nothing out of them, they all sound the same to me. Unfortunately I'm not a 50+ balding white dad wielding a spatula in one hand, a budlight in the other manning a grill at family barbeque and actually a bisexual he/they black kid sitting in a dorm at a liberal arts school. if i was i would probably love this album. this shit aint made for me idk what to say
my mom had this cd in her collection, its been on my listening list for a minute now. my friend was in my room looking at my cd collection which mostly were given to me from my parents old collection. He was looking and said "Your parents probably conceived you to one of these album". Really funny and gross comment and worst part is, the more I listen to their CDs from their collections its starting to seem likely that he was right. skin crawlingly disgusting to think about and its lowkey kind of ruining the music for me ignoring that this album is so unbelievably smooth. Soul/RNB is at its best when it smooth as hell in my opinion and this album proves me right. He did a call pussy a "Dark World" at one point in the album, so it definitely far from perfect, however its still an enjoyable listening experience. Its a shame I put listening to this CD sooner. im gonna give a 5/5 on this website but it like more of a 4.4987/5 in my opinion and im not gonna elaborate
good
french people and silly synths. a combination that has never done me dirty
idk why this feels a lot more laid back then most glam rock i've listened. i like it, its a good vibe
its queen ofc its good
this is longest 47 minutes i've ever felt in my life omg make it end it might be just because i hate this guys voice but i feel like its a little too loud in the mix
the guy who this 1001 album book has excellent taste in trip-hop this album makes me want to relisten to low end theory by a tribe called quest. idk why but i feel like I'll appreciate it more after listening to this despite them entirely unrelated
YES GOOD PROG ROCK (i think i havent listened to this yet) they made that one song from jojo and i like that song a lot love how silly symphonic prog sounds. i've never listened to symphonic prog album that doesn't sound like 16-bit era video game music
really cool blend of trip-hop and rock, although it does seem to lose a bit of its creativity in the second half. but the first half is killer, really cool production
Found out that a stan getz song is on the whiplash soundtrack. That song isn't on this album but its still cool i fucking lovvee whiplash I also love bossa nova what a great genre of music
my dad would love this album. i like probably for that reason alone, it reminds me of him.
ts sorta borring
one off from being my 69th album, what missed opportunity three hours long, this better be the best album i've ever heard i tired asf i had two long ass lectures today and an assignment due tonight and i wanna nap sb, but i started this three hour album first and i hate listening to album in multiple sessions so now i stuck listening to this while doing an assignment i dont want to do. this sucks its not even bad, i just know that it gonna go on like this for another two hours and thats fucking dreadful to think about. I kind of hate how some of the tracks make fun of other genres like jazz and punk, ik its a joke but it feels so lame and unfunny. i gave up, im taking a break i forgot i have to finish this fucccccccccckkk im not even halfway through the second disk. The songs with the girl singing sound like that new cindy lee album if it sucked. Listen to Diamond Jubilee if you want to listen to a good long ass album. Papa was Rodeo feels like a bad dean blunt and johanne robertson song at the end. i don't like this album finally on the last disk yippeeee. i finished my assignment before i finished this album im gonna kms make it fucking end theres still 11 songs left holy shit i cant do it anymore it went to go brush my teeth and i ACCIDENTLY forgot to pause the album a missed like four tracks whoops the albums alright i suppose
Mr grieves was the name of the pedophille gym teacher at my school m that song caught me off guard i didnt see the title
i liked paul simons self title album so interested in what he sounds like with good ol garfunkel btw art garfunkel might be top 5 names ever, his parents cooked with that name choice
i fw how theatrical the vocals which is weird cuz i usually hate that this is cool but i'll probably never return to it ever again. this kind of gives me a supertramp vibe for some reason. i think that's why i like it
still don't really like old hip-hop too much, but this i don't mind. Its fun, i see the appeal. enjoyable listen
ew
some interesting experiments on here, but most tracks are misses.
didn't like the first u2 album i listened to so im not very excited to listen to this one just like the other u2 album i listened to, it went in one ear and out the other
i like the cat on the cover a lot
I finally have a punk album that i like
this looks cool i like the album art a lot ts rocks i love it. great atmosphere and production, definitely gonna return to this someday. its exactly what i would want from a 80s gothic rock record
one track being good is typically a bad sign for an album but when that one song is half your albums run time, its different. first track is def a must hear, you can skip the rest
hated the last album i heard from him. this is definitely more enjoyable i hate to say it but this is kind of good
ew. this guy really just plagiarized a bunch of south African music. bro you could've just sampled it wtf. no royalties or credit given to the original musicians too. knowing the context behind this album is making it hard for me to enjoy. Ignoring it the music is alright i guess. (source: https://www.timeslive.co.za/sunday-times/lifestyle/2021-03-28-criminal-record-how-malcolm-mcclaren-ripped-off-sa-musicians/ )
hell yeah i love the roots not that the production on Things Fall Apart is bad, its very good actually, but I kind of prefer this sound over the cleaner jazz instrumentals. Its a lot more creative and out there, borderline experimental and because of that it kind of appeals to me more. production kind of reminds me of Pharrell idk how to explain. might be my favorite roots album ngl
Minawa is peak, such a beautiful song. Probably my favorite jazz album i gotten from this site Slightly unrelated but hugh was sampled on Riot! by earl sweatshirt and knowing that makes me like this album more despite the song that was sampled not being on this album
this looks fire af big fan of the spotify campus videos on most of the songs on this album. its just jeru old ass dancing in front of a blue background. its not even format for a cellphone screen aspect ratio its just a 16:9 video at the center of the screen with black filling the blank space. the beat on My Mind Sample samples the same song as sparkdala by quasimoto, but it turns out there's like a million different songs that sample that one song, interesting. dj premieres beats are grimy as hell and deru spits on every track. good shit usually i don't like old hip-hop but this appeals to me i like it a lot.
this kinda sucks ngl
pretty good ig. i understand why my mom would own a compilation cd of their best songs for an album from the 70s the synths actually don't feel very dated. there some really cool modern-ish synth design on here its really impressive tbh.
DAVID BOWIE YIPPEEEE hes such a legend rip fr stay kind of sounds like song off the new geordie greep album (sry for making the comparisson)
funk is one of those genre i think about and assume is trash but then i actually listen to it and it's peak. i'm really feeling this album idk why this is so good the groove on this album is crazy. i have know when if I'll ever relisten to this but this first listen was very enjoyable. one of the best samba albums i've ever heard
its alright all these weak ass idm albums that this websites been giving me have made be realize how good aphex twin is. i like the marimba sounding synth thing on science friction a lot the way it bounces around my ears is very enjoyable not gonna lie
THEY SMOKED A WHAT!?!? (ik its old british slang shutup)
hell yes Flavour Flav kind of sounds like a more chilled out westside gunn I get why my dad loves this album. RIP Radio Raheem
Im actually loving this lowkey This so sweet and pleasent i love it
my mom love them, idk they're kind of whatever. not bad though
New greep album shitty theatrical bs like this obsolete
didn't know there were EPs where on the 1001 albums list i mean its alright
really good idk why the ratings for this are so low this website slacker rock is such a good genre. feel like more rock focused cindy lee album (particularly Diamond Jubilee, listen to that album its really good) really does feel like old rock radio station late at night as small child (so like early 2010s for me. if that makes you feel old its cuz you are)
wild honey pie is an all time classic, peak beatles
really wanted to like this a really silly and charming 90s hip-hop album ruined by having songs that are way too long. no song on here has to be 4+ minutes. almost every song on here drags on for wayyy too long
british white guy making reggae and blues ends up being a white nationalist ok bro (dw yall he dated a black women) omg lorax reference!? ignoring controversy the music itself is whatever
happy belated 30th
this nigga so boring
probably one of the best alt dance records i've heard this is album does get kind of tiring by the end tho ngl
gotta love good 80s rock
typical queen album. pretty good but i feel like they have better albums
gman lookin ass. look up nick cave he looks fucking scary as shit wth. i thought it was just lighting in some in his spotify pfp but he look freaky even when well lit. bro look like the boss from incredibles.
I'll be honest, i was falling in and out of sleep while listening but i really liked what i heard.
dg reference!?!?! little richard by death grips is like their worst song fuck that song. this album is the opposite its good. his energy is genuinely one of kind.
not my thing its okay i suppose
cover art is so bad get this shuttershock bs outta my face good music tho
ts kind of weird tbh i wasnt expecting it. you could argue its overproduced but i like it sounds interesting
its okay broke my stream of 8 great albums in a row damn
i can say this with confidence: there is no way this is anyone favorite album. this the most nothing, whatever ass album i've ever heard
genre tags on rym look very me-core it is very me-core. excellent blend old pop and breakbeats / house. i really like this album. Like a less french dots and loops by stereolab (idk what that means it just reminds me of that album for whatever reason)
i dont get it. its alright ig
i liked magdalene, but tbh wasn't too crazy about it and haven't returned to it since I first listened to it year ago. I hope I like this album more because I lowkey wanna like her music, eusexua looking to be a good ass album based on those new singles she's been dropping. acra was heavily involved with this albums production ooohh. green flag im interested this is got that early 2010s electropop stank to it sometimes. definitely enjoyed it more than Magdalene
mbv been on my listening list for so long now, i already know im gonna love this album. first few tracks kind of sucked but the rest was great. love shoegaze its a great genre, i wish more people could appreciate it
hearing randy newman saying the n word is so surreal, like i knew his solo music was crazy offensive but its still weird actually hearing it racism but its funny and kind of nuanced. def didnt need to say slurs but whatever. guys he mad you got a friend in me he can do no wrong
i lowkey love these guys i might be a fan tbh
i like it
crazy energy for a 60s rock album, i can see how influential this must've been. i dont know if i like this album or not if im being real
erm... where's the flutes????/? 40 track long testament to the talent of outkast. each member can stand on their own and make captivating hour+ long albums. This album is such a feat and its fucking crazy to listen too. I don't love every songs but its still and impressive body of work nonetheless. Speakerboxxx is super good, feels like standard outkast album. The love below is so fucking crazy, i wish andre 3000 would make another experimental soul funk album its so damn good. Hey Ya still gives me chills to this day, 11/10 song. saw a review on here that says "very bad, black music lost its way a long time ago" fucking crazy. i feel like ppl are really harsh on rap album on this site tbh. the reviews on this album in general are strange when comparing them to rym. ig these are just regular music listener takes rather than chronically online music snobs. either way THIS being the fall of black music is a crazy take. that guy would disintegrate if he ever heard a hi-c song (not that hi-c is fall of black music fucking love hi-c, praying High the Lon35tarr gets added to the 1001 albums in the next edition).
country music is good i just dont want to listen to it
unrelated but im too dedicated to this 1001 album journey. you ever just get home from a long ass of doing work with very little breaks and you want to sleep but then you remember you have to listen to a Brian Wilson because a website told you to. im lowkey a weak minded individual its cute i supposed. its a fine body of work, i like the acapella stuff its so jolly. never listening to this every again tho. type of album that you to be miserable and insufferable to not like. im might be miserable and insufferable because i lowkey hate some songs on this album
a rym genre tag on this is "Honky Tonk". this is gonna suck shit so bad im not excited to listen to this girl get a divorce im beggin you
why does he have analogue horror eyes beatles make good music wow
tried listening to this a while ago and gave up a few tracks in. I just didn't like how dated it sound to me at the time. After giving it a full listen, I'm conflicted. I like it however, I don't really get the hype. Just seems like a really odd electronic rock album from the 70s. I can't really think of anything similar too it, its really one of kind, but i kind of don't care to hear anything else like it. I also don't get how this ambient, like I get ambient doesn't always mean subtle and atmospheric, it more has to do with timbre/texture or whatever. I don't hear it, I feel like I've heard far more textured and detailed compositions on other ambient projects. I guess i can give it pass because its like one of the first ambient albums. ok last few tracks are absolutely ambient, but the rest i dont get it i hope this grows on me because this is something i should like
this guy again feel bad for the guy who made this book, they're clearly a huge elvis costello fan and like everyone on this site is sick of hearing him. this is definitely my favorite elvis costello album i've heard so far. either that or I'm starting to warm up to him
it alright
you might think he loves you for your money but i know what he really loves you for its your brand new leopard skin pillbox hat
obnoxiously 80s, i love it
i think im starting to like punk music now lowkey
no ion wanna listen to arcade fire one of their better albums. was not expecting to enjoy this.
i dont like u2 fuck i dont wanna listen to this u2 is so boring i dont get the appeal. all of these songs are too long goddamn
i love bossa nova sm bro think he jschlatt
ooh miles davis yeah its cool. he wasn't lying
his name is stevland? what kinda name is stevland. this stevland wonder album is good, just as i expected it to be
heard this was crime album and was hoping it would be the 1960s white people equivalent to drill music. im sorrowfully disappointed to say its not really like that pretty whatever, but some songs are crazy tho. on the track life in prison he wishes for death and it lowkey caught be off guard. country music is crazy sometimes
First Listen: July 18 2023 I LOVE GORILLAZ AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH great debut, clint eastwood and 19-20000 are classic. def one of their weaker albums tho, demon days is far better
First Listen: July 20 2020 OMG PEAK WTF. god-tier album i don't have to say anything. back when kanye glaze was understandable
the outro of the beast has one of the worst Asian impersonations i've ever heard. this is a 90s album I thought they were supposed to be good at being racist back then pretty good ig
idk why i was surprised that zack fox was involved with this. not only are they friends but the sillier track are so zack fox coded, they feel like they're written by him. thundercat is for sure one of the best bassist in recent memory and this album is a testament to that. stupid asl but still very enjoyable
pretty good, but for a rock opera the vocals are pretty underwhelming. still very enjoyable
nettspend geeked on the cover i actually really fw this, i dont get the hate. its so pleasant. does goes on for a little longer than i would appreciate but still good a 90s pop-rock record i can get behind it.
this been on my list for a minute excited to check it out really like the synths on here. yeah they're pretty dated, egregiously 80s, but they add a lot of pretty texture to the songs, especially on the first 4 tracks. Love the jazzier cuts on here too. great album def gonna get some mileage out of this
i feel like it could be more abrasive. still good tho
kinda whatever. i just dont like this style of rock it doesn't do much for me i guess
one of my moms favorite. love the songs i've heard from this album Everybody Wants to Rule the World is actually indisputably one the best songs ever. I don't even know if there's a point in saying that because its so obvious. peak 80s pop for sure
love house music but listening to full house album is lowkey torture. music like this was not supposed to be consumed this way. still very good regardless
thom yorke was involved in this cool I dont have much to say about this i like it though On horses in my dreams it sounds like she keeps saying that she pooped herself thats funny
the second blur I've listen to and honestly this doesn't really appeal to me. it fine. tbf the other one I listened to was their newest album The Ballad of Darren and don't think really like that album too much, including myself. I think im just mad that it doesn't sound like Gorillaz which should've been obvious considering they're completely different musical projects. maybe once i accept that I'll enjoy blur's music more. this is way too damn long too omg its the song from that one scene in baby driver wow
what a coincidence (they def programmed this in that's cute) strangely well produced and very cheery. might be peak Christmas music, very enjoyable
so chill i love it. really beautifully arranged. never heard of this band before but I'm glad I got to listen to them.
gonna give this a 3 but its more of a 3.5 tbc hard rock vocals over folk rock is a cool experiment. like most hard rock i get the appeal but it doesn't really do much for me. ngl the more folk influenced tracks were my favorites on this album
i love wacky prog rock. def gonna relisten to this in the near future
First neil young album i really enjoyed. I get the hype now
Would be a banger vg ost. Chicos Groove and One Too Many Mornings is so killer
i actually enjoyed this a bit. its really inoffensive and a very pleasant listen. however I've definitely heard better country.
way too groovy. strange because I usually like very dated 80s pop, but this one didn't appeal to me. This isn't bad, I just really don't like super flamboyant theatric 80s pop. This album is doing too much and it kind of annoys me.
its a beatles album idk why but this album makes me think about volcanic bird enemy and the voiced concern by lil ugly mane i'm too crazy about the beatles, but this is still good tho.
its fine. i think Morrisseys energy repels me from enjoying anything attached to his name. idk im just bored by this album
really cool album. at best very eclectic and at worst its horny glam rock.
i wanna see that new bob dylan biopic. why does timothee chalamet actually look like bob dylan incredible song writing here.
bro said "y'all chill my 3rd wife who's also my cousin is 15 not 13" great classic rock and roll album but wtf was wrong this guy genuinely. even more impressive when you consider this was live, must've be legendary to be in the crowd
unlike any other britpop album I've heard. this barely even sounds like britpop to me and that's a good thing if i'm being honest very interesting sound-wise. glam rock vocals over these atmospheric psych-rock instrumentals. i really fw this, I haven't heard many album like this. I would totally give this a relisten at some point
classic generational vocals and undeniably timeless album. no one will ever do it like him. great album but I feel like he has other album with more hits on it, a lot of these songs I've never heard of before. Not this album is bad for that, but if you have an album where every other track is iconic, than it's infinitely more impressive.
just kept getting better as it went along. i love a good chill jazz album
didnt like the first talking heads album I heard. i get this one. The groove on this album is far more creative and out there, which makes for a more interesting listening experience. That solo on the first track is really cool i like it a lot. That being said I'm still a bit underwhelmed by the overall project. Its an okay album. I still really don't understand what so great about this band. This is best album I've heard from though for sure
he kinda looks like my grandpa except younger, balder, and also is a rapist its a silly 2000s party rap album. i like it but you def don't need to hear before you die.
finally, peak i lowkey skipped songs on this because i've already heard them a million times. this album is too iconic. whats more interesting are the songs that I haven't heard before. They're pretty good, especially Baby Be Mine.
dolly parton lowkey freaks me out why does she look like that its fine. i tried to pretend that she was adrianne lenker, but then i thought about it and she actually sounds nothing like her beyond the fact that they both make country music (adrianne lenker is more of a singer-song writer folk artist but you know what i mean, right?)
no way this is the same band that made staying alive, wtf some cool songs on here but this was an absolute chore to listen to
fucking awesome. best disco album ever and probably one the best instrumental hip-hop album ever
funky, just as i expected it to be not to sound like an old man but modern musicians should go back to fucking around with panning effects again. why don't we experimental with stereo sound anymore. this album has so many parts in it where a single instrument is panned to one ear and like background vocal is panned to the other side. it weird aid the in the groove and rhythm of the music its kind of fun.
i usually dont like punk but i can get down with this. his voice is a little grading ngl but I fw the messaging on here
WHY'D YOU LET HER SUCK YUR COCCCKKKKKKKK??????? lowkey the best part on this album why'd she say it like that some good tracks but overall a little uninteresting. feel like i need more time with this album to fully appreciate it because I don't necessarily hate what I'm hearing on this album. last track and guilt are really good, especially the last song, love how spiteful it is.
they were singing a beatles song in that vine!??! (mr postman) by far the most boring beatles album ive heard so far
holy shit i finally actually liked something associated with Morrissey wtf this a good album wow
probably my favorite country album I've ever heard exclusively because it barely sounds like country to me
i like it, but i don't see what so crazy about it. enjoyable but i don't think its a must listen tbh the concept for the album is awesome. super ahead of its time for 1998. actually really impressive because this does not feel like music recorded on a probably shitty laptop in the late 90s. actually listening to that with that in mind makes me like this album a whole lot more tbh, ignore the beginning of this review this album is cool af
just what i'd want out of rock and roll album. really good energy and rock? idk its a good album thats all that matters
still don't really like this era of hip-hop, but this is a really fun album. really creative production i fw it
if it isn't psychedelic i don't wanna hear it. really impressed by this album
Live in the album title is always a green flag as a certified hard rock hater, even i gotta admit this album is badass af
title is crazy. other barry adamson album i heard was kinda ass but still cool conceptually. hope this isn't the same. slightly less bad but still kind of chore to listen to
really dreamy I like it
its alright i like it listened to this quietly in the background while editing a school project. it kept me from giving up on the assignment so i guess thats a testament to its quality.
First Listen: July 5 2023 YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS god i fucking love bjork ive been waiting to get this album. def a weaker bjork album there's some classics on here fs. "spongebob? --tf wrong wit you" ï'm õn thät gööd kûsh äñd älcöhól "NIGGA⁉️🥷🥷"
theres like a million different albums just like this. its fine though, never returning to this.
just another 90s pop album interesting songwriting aside it feels kind of bland.
cool love the shitty mic they recorded this on. bro peaking the mic every other word, really adds to the indie/garage band vibe
i like this type of shit but you this is far from a must-hear album. its also like way too long, but that goes for most house albums
yay jimi hendrix absolute psych-rock legend, nobody does it like him
liked more than i expected. exact type of energy i want out of a punk record
looks cool kind of disappointed that this isn't a rad fem hardcore punk album, but this is still cool. very noisy and industrial, love it
smooth, just how i like it. very pleasant listen, would return to this. ok the funky tracks are a little cheesy i don't like them that much. but the soul stuff hell yeah thats good
its about time i gave this a listen this like the avengers of jazz getting together. I had no clue john coltrane was on this. Excellent line up of players and an excellent jazz, i see why this is such a highly acclaimed album
the psych rock stuff is cool, but anything that strays away from that kind of sucks still an enjoyable listen though
cool but some (most if im being honest) feel really dragged out every day should be a holiday is a banger though i love those weird ass synths
what a strange album. its good but im not too crazy about it Its pretty hit or miss. if its in you is terrible, might be one of the most dreadful songs i've heard in a while
raw af
i thought they were a one hit wonder band, but no. this is heat
nooo no more u2 i dont like u2 stop it fuck off bono slightly more enjoyable than most u2 albums but i still dont like it. thank god the last track isn't available on streaming so i could get done with this sooner
MAYONAISE ON A ESCALATOR! ITS GOIN UPSTAIRS SO SEE YA LATER! just another hard rock album. pretty badass but also pretty insubstantial outside of that. there's like only two songs on here i ever like to hear again (obvious one is back in black, genuinely an amazing song deserving of all of its praise)
this that typa shit #blackouttuesday niggas listen to really uninteresting and vapid, although there are some great song, but its just far too on the nose for me to really feel moved by it at all. disappointing because this is all produced by inflo and I love their work with Little Simz. I was expecting something far more interesting
its michael jackson, its good obviously. ngl i didn't remember this album sounding so dated. not thats a bad thing its charming actually. but use of drum machines is so obvious and the weird cheap synth instruments sound so bad and fake. what up with the weird industrial clap sound on the way you make me feel, it feels so out of place but i love it. some of these instrumentals give me like 16-bit era vgm vibe. makes sense considering he worked on the music in sonic the hedgehog 3 (fun fact i guess)
stg if this is that we are family song imma be pissed off. i lowkey hate that song pretty solid disco and soul, but nothing too interesting tbh. i still don't like we are family. never liked that song, i already think its repetitive and annoying, and then i find out that its 8 MINUTES. fuck that, overrated asl. everything else is good tho
