C’était la première fois que j’écoutais un album complet de ZZ Top et j’ai été agréablement surpris. Même si le blues rock n’est pas un genre que j’apprécie tant que ça, l’écoute a été agréable. Je ne crois toutefois pas que je vais le réécouter.

Face to Face by The Kinks

Des Beatles un peu plus sales, un peu plus cyniques. C’est très brit, très sixties et c’est très bon! Un petit peu de surf sur Rainy Day in June, un peu de psychédélisme par ci par là, une petite touche parfois garage parfois pop, c’est foisonnant même s’il se dégage une unité à l’ écoute de l’album.

Je n’ai écouté qu’une seule fois, puisque l’album n’est pas sur Spotify. J’ai aimé, mais je ne crois pas que ce soit un essentiel. Probablement qu’à l’époque ou je travaillais dans un café , je l’aurais fait beaucoup joué.

La classe, le chic! Bon album. Vraiment fait plaisir pour être écouté en format vinyle. Même si je l’ai écouté en streaming, j’ai senti les deux faces distinctes et si je le possédais en 33 tours, la face B serait plus usée que la face A!

Je n’arrive pas à croire que je n’avais jamais écouté cet album! J’ai pourtant eu une période Pink Floyd à l’adolescence, mais j’avais décidé de consacrer mon 20 $ à l’achat de Dark Side of The Moon que j’ai écouté jusqu’à plus soif. Et la phase Pink Floyd est passé et je n’y suis jamais vraiment retourné. J’avais aussi un préjugé négatif pour la chanson titre qui, dans mon esprit, avait été contaminé par tous les apprentis guitaristes de mon école secondaire! C’est un disque exceptionnel, je l’ai écouté plus de cinq fois durant la journée. Ce sera mon premier 5 du défi !

Dancing Queen est excellente. Le reste sonne comme Alain Morrisod et le Sweet People. Je crois pas que ce soit nécessaire de l’écouter, même une fois.

Who Killed...... The Zutons? by The Zutons

Où étais-je en 2004 lorsque cet album est sorti? Belle découverte. C’est exactement le genre de musique que j’écoutais à l’époque, je suis surpris de ne pas avoir connu ça avant. Chaque chanson est un hit potentiel, c’est vraiment un disque FUN!
