This album changes lives.
Instrumental. Lots of familiar sounds. Good stuff.
Amazing.
First disc was mostly boring. Lots of droning, not hearing a lot of great melodies. Not That Funny was horrible. SIsters of the Moon is probably the best song so far. Hopefully disc 2 is better. Disc 2 is better so far. That's Enough for Me is definitely a highlight so far. Overall disc 2 was better, but not a fan. Apparently enjoying this album takes a lot of work that I'm not willing to put in.
Great album by one of the greatest rock bands ever. They are at full strength with their original, familiar sound before they started experimenting and branching out. That said, the album seems to become a bit repetitive/formulaic which causes a bit of a drag. I'm sure when it was new and fresh it didn't feel like that, but for today, it doesn't quite hold up as well as some of the previous, tighter LZ albums.
It's sometimes hard to appreciate music that is so clearly the root of everything that came after it, which this clearly is. Having a full band and great sound quality, make this a really good listen. It's minimal but robust at the same time. It was a delight to listen to and appreciate, but also an album of it's time. Probably would be fun to have on while sitting on the back porch drinking a whiskey. Loved it.
Good britpop album. I prefer their later stuff, but this is good as well despite being less melodic.
This album has a ton of hits. WAY better than I expected.
This is a good follow up to Kid A, but lacks the same tight direction of previous and subsequent albums. It feels a bit cobbled together with some bright spots. Solid Radiohead album, but not up to their usual standards.
Hard to be objective about an album I've listened to probably 100 times.
This was my first time listening to this album. Phenomenal. It's the type of album that seems like it needs a few listens to grow, but it was honestly growing on me about halfway through. I definitely see myself listening again.
This band is more prog rock than I expected. Good combo of interesting/complex music with a few radio hits.
This was good. NIN can get a bit repetitive for me, but this was a very interesting album.
Coastal weekend vibes.
Great album.
Not a huge hardcore fan, but I actually enjoyed it. I doubt I'll go back a lot, but it was a quick listen.
Album is not doing it for me. There are some moments, but it feels like it is sacrificing the soul of other 90s brit bands for style.
Love it, high energy. Will be returning to this.
One song in and fuck yes. A little disappointed that it gets much softer after this, but it's still great.
This album is absolute tour de force. Hit after hit. This is great.
I feel like I need to listen to this about 15 more times. This was a great listen though.
One of the top 50 albums all time. Obviously 5/5.
It is a fun album, but it has obviously not aged well. It is campy and over the top.
Crazy how much he and his son sound a like. Good album too.
Very chill. Not like any other David Bowie album I've listened to. No soaring hits or catchy melodies, but mostly filled soundscapes that are great to relax to.
There's a lot to like here with the overall sound, but it comes off a bit repetitive to me.
Loved it.
The electric keyboard sounds like absolute garbage. Not sure why they wanted these songs to sound like they're using a toy to create the music. Elis can obviously sing well though. Definitely some good songs here, but it's a little hit and miss for me. It's also not straight down the line for bossa nova, which is great, but it moves away from the vibes I'm looking for when turning on some bossa nova. Can't imagine I'll return to this.
Very much enjoyed listening to this. I would obviously need to be in the right mood (high), but I could see myself going back to this occasionally.
It's nice. Not for me, but no complaints.
More hits on this album than I expected. Really enjoyed it.
This obviously requires multiple listens, but it's honestly not like anything else I've listened to.
Need to listen to this at least 1,000 more times.
Not for me.
Really enjoyed revisiting this album. I wish it had more variation, but at the same time, it does not get boring because of their very original take on garage/indie music.
One of the best albums of all time. Innovative, diverse and enjoyable. Only criticism is that it's not longer.
Music is good, vocals are annoying. I liked this a lot less than I thought I would.
This is fantastic. Perhaps a bit of nostalgia, but it's good start to finish.
This is 70s pop. It's fine.
This was great. Lots of hits and the ones I didn't know were good. No low points.
Very enjoyable listen. Lots of great instrumentals on top of the vocals. Also, lots of progressive and creative artistic ideas.
This album fucking sucks. By far the worst album on this list so far. It's like it's stuck in 1990s world music. I could imagine hearing this playing in Pier 1 Imports or the Nature Store.
It's fine. Not bad, not nearly as great as other Bowie albums though.
I feel like ever since Poses, and even intermittently with Poses, RH has been interested in style more than substance. II really like the style of the album and can feel what he's trying to do, but just doesn't quite stick the landing. It's good, but far from great.
This was fantastic. How have I never listened to this?
This was great, somewhat hit or miss, but I think I'll come back to it. Really enjoyed the sound.
How have I never heard anything from this album? It's a bit uneven thematically, but it's a really good listen.
This album is absolutely bursting with musical ideas. Honestly though, I almost feel like it needs a little bit dialed back. It's super fun to listen to though.
Still amazing.
Great album. 3-4 massive hits. I'm not really into the non hits as much because they tend to get a little metal adjacent, but it's still great. Somehow very heavy, but also not dark.
Great album, better first half, but overall it was excellent. Modern Times is a bit closer in style to his older stuff than I realized.
Great blues album. Seems to be a transition album between traditional blues and 70s rock like Zeppelin and others.
It is interesting and I'm glad I listened, but I don't see myself regularly returning to this.
Solid.
This album changes lives.
This really didn't do much for me. Admittedly, it's not my cup of tea, but nothing really jumped out at me as "oh, I see why some people love this album." It was too mellow and just didn't have many hooks that I noticed.
Lots of hits, obviously, but it's kind of just solid to me.
Good not great. More in line with what I originally expected from Black Sabbath than Paranoid.
First half is a 5, second half tails off slightly. Amazing, all time great album though.
Solid.
If not for the technical nature of the music being played I would give this 1 star. It's pretty chaotic and sounds more like an action sequence to a movie than music that I would want to listen to. Also, it's not varied enough in tone to be interesting.
Highly experimental album that was fine, but I just didn’t get that into it.
Classic album start to finish. Even the non-singles are great.
Some good songs, but others that I found annoying. Will not be listening again.
This actually grew on me quite a bit as it went on. Good stuff. Obviously considering when it came from it's highly influential. I would listen again.
Another influential album, which was good. I don't have anything negative to say. Other's have built on this, so I understand it's importance, but it's just good not great for me.
