All that scratching is making me itch
I like it! First time I listened was with headphones, really good!
First heard on the California beach with a 6 or 7 month pregnant Lisa. Extra half star for nostalgia!
Terrible! Worst album yet, Love in an Elevator top 10 worst songs of all time?!?!
First album/artist I never heard of. 1st impression, meh. 2nd listen better. 3rd listen 4 stars. If only I knew what he was rapping about?!? In my top 1000, idk
Love the Michael McDonald backing vocals on Peg, I got the News. Every song 5/5. Steely Dan at their best.
Sara - Stevie Nicks best - 9/10
4.5 - I love Fishbone's cover of Freddie's Dead on Truth and Soul (1988)
So wide you can't get around it
So low you can't get under it
So high you can't get over it
2nd album I never really heard, and I listened to plenty of shoegaze/britpop. I hear so many different influences here, the Cure, dub, madchester, psychedelic. Overall better than I expected 8/10.
I'll tell you this
No eternal reward will forgive us now for wasting the dawn
A couple of okay tracks, but all in all a pretty rough listen.
Some good stuff and some that is kinda corny and mildly irritating. 3 I guess
Influenced so many bands, classic!
What can you do?
With a brat like that always on your back
What can you lose, lose?
Walked 3 miles one way to the mall to buy this album when I was 14. Probably 3.5 but 4 for nostalgia.
Never heard this, I think I love it a little?
Some pretty good stuff and some pretty crappy stuff. I was gonna go 7/10 and then I listened to the 2nd half of the album. 6/10
Not my favorite Roxy Music album. but pretty good.
How many times did the Batmobile catch a flat???
And if the devil is six
Then God is seven
Then God is seven
Then God is seven
I've never heard this but really enjoyed most of the album. I will definitely check out more John Martyn. Thanks 1001 Album Generator
I was trying to give it a second.....ZZZZZZZZZZ
Phew, a nice change of pace after that Nico album.
Love it, thinking 4.5 then Say Yes!
Wasn't sure what to expect, especially after Agnus Dei, but I really loved it. Even more after a second listen.
Fruit Bats Eric D Johnson covered this in its entirety. One of the great albums of all time I think. Didn't really like anything they did after this.
I guess its pretty good for what it it? just really isn't my thing.
Oh how I love Joan Armatrading!
This album has some of my favorite U2 songs-Bullet the Blue Sky, Red Hill Mining Town, One Tree Hill, and some songs that maybe I've heard too much-I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For, Where the Streets Have No Name, With or Without You. Great songs but played to death. Overall though, still one of the great albums of all time imo.
Was gonna go 4.5 and then listened to 'I Want Your Love' again in my car at top volume on my way to work. 5
I fell in love with Björk in the late 80's and bought her first three solo albums after the Sugarcubes disbanded, but never really listened to anything after that. I really like this album and Love her voice. Can't wait for more Björk, I'm sure it's coming!
Another 5 star Bob Dylan Album!
Never heard this before, listened about three times and it grew on me every listen.
Fantastic album that I'd never listened to before
Initial impression 3.5, probably give this one another listen
Loved this in 92, haven't listened in forever. Really still pretty good.
I was listening to the first half of this thinking wow, how have I never heard this? Then I listened to the second half and I was thinking wow, what in the fuck was that. So good and so bad. 3.5
Turned on to this by my dorm roommate sophomore year of college, 1989. I love this album! 4.5
Who in the fuck gives Abbey Road 1 ⭐️??
A two hour and 15 minute ep? Really good! 4.5!
Seriously? Seven 1 star ratings?
After a second listen I liked it even more
The first two punk albums I owned, Black Flag Damaged and this! Love it! "God told me to skin you alive"
2.5 1/2 ⭐️ for Tina's voice. All and all, pretty terrible
Was gonna go 4 stars, but add a half star for Police and Thieves! 9/10
One of the best punk albums!
Memories of the year I became a father! 1994! 4.5 "And I smell like shit"
I thoroughly enjoyed that! Way more than I expected.
Started slow, but got better as it went along. Love Chemical World, Resigned. The 19 song bonus disc has some pretty good stuff too if you've got a couple of hours.
Definitely my favorite The The album!
I really like track 1,4,5 - 2 and 3 meh. 3 stars I guess
Joan Armatrading, Tracy Chapman, Björk, Stevie Nicks....now we just need a little Phoebe Snow, Janis Joplin, Kate Bush and some Sade.....then I can die
Never heard, idkh this one got past me? John Lydon track is a standout! 8!
I love Stewart Copeland on Synchronicity I and Murder by Numbers. One of the best drummers IMO
Thing about this one, there are some really really great songs on here, but the bad ones are so bad.
(I know) I'm losing you and (Find a) Reason to believe are great covers!
Finally, some Zeppelin! Not my personal favorite Led Zeppelin album, but still one of the best albums of all time.
I bought Ocean Rain on vinyl when I was 15 in 1984 but never heard anything from their other albums until I bought the greatest hits album the next year. Rescue quickly became my favorite Bunnymen song!
For some reason I was dreading this one. So much I act actually listened to George Michael Faith first. Bad mistake! I really enjoyed most of this!
I can't really believe Rolling Stone 500 greatest albums of all time 2020 it jumped to #151. Wtf is that?
Damn I really like that whole album, listened 3 times, better each time!
A little long....but damn!
Better than I thought it was going to be. Not really a CW fan, but pretty good.
Damn good, I can't believe I never listened to this before? What was I thinking?!? Really enjoyed and will listen again!
Not really my thing, definitely won't revisit. 2.5
In just the right mood for that! Nice
I really like a few songs but didn't really love anything after Off the Wall
Saw M.I.A. this summer open for LCD soundsystem at red rocks. It was kinda like this album, okay 3.5
What in the.....maybe? I need another listen another time.....but probably not.
Not my favorite Buzzcocks album, but pretty damn good
Free Bird is on my top 10 most hated songs of all time list! Even so, I like some of the rest of the album. I guess I'll go 3 stars. My opinion could be tainted since I just listened to MJ Bad
Finally, Nilsson Schmillson
Couple of good songs but meh on the rest. It's no Damn the Torpedoes
Probably should be a five, but I've the radio hits too many times. Mark Knopfler's guitar is fantastic!
My God how I love Axis: Bold as Love!
Click bang, what a hang, your daddy just shot poor me
And I hear you say, as I fade away
We don't have to wait till tomorrow
I hate myself so much for saying this, I enjoyed listening to that. wtaf, kill me.
A low end 3, but the chances of me returning to this are pretty slim.
How have I never heard this? Fuck yes
Started strong, liked the first couple of songs, then took a turn for the worse
Haven't listened to Tommy in forever. Listened twice. Keith Moon!
I was pretty happy when that ended
Bailed out by you tube again. Fuck you Neil Young.....9/10
Never even heard of this band.
2.5/5 - I was once lucky enough to leave a Flaming Lips concert early
Tradition is probably my favorite Burning Spear song. Summer before last, D fell asleep at a Burning Spear show 💤
Not my favorite Beastie Boys, but fun!
One of my all time favorites. 10/10
I started this a couple of weeks ago. Been dreading returning to it. Idk why? It's actually pretty damn good! 7/10
A hard listen? Idk, some I liked, some irritating 😒? Listened 2x, still feel the same, 3 I guess.
Didn't love it, Didn't hate it
Always one of my favorites, true "rock and roll" album! Listening to it now, I never really listened to the lyrics of "let me put my love into you". Sound like a date rape anthem, or maybe just a rape anthem.
I don't know why, I thought I'd enjoy this more than I did?
"I was born by a river"! Love the originals, more than the covers. 9/10
My third favorite ATCQ album, but still a 10
I assume when I'm done with this list I will be able to make my own list of 10001 albums I'd rather listen to than that.
shhh, don't tell anyone, 7/10
Someone took a bath, Mr. Bubble
Middle name, must be trouble
Bootsy, Qtip, Maceo, great album, fun af!
Saw Deee-Lite early 90's WOW, holy psilocybin
Not great, not terrible. Probably won't revisit tbh. 3
sophomore year of college, Roy turned me on to two things, kind bud and Bob Marley
I remember how disappointed I was when this first came out and I bought it. I love, really love Gish and Siamese Dream and I didn't really like this, especially the tracks that got the most airplay. It was the last SP album I ever bought/listened to. I guess listening to it now almost 20 years later, it's not so bad. 7/10
No where to collapse the lung
Breathes a doubt in everyone
Must have watched 20 times when I was 15. Could be a nostalgia 5?
Overplayed? Probably, but damn!
This album changed my life
One of my all time favorites!
"I once met him
It really surprised me
He put me in a bath tub
Made me squeeky clean
Really clean"
Love it. Everything the reviews complain about are my favorite parts-piano, saxophone, Rodgers Hodgson's voice! 10/10
I was swimming in the Carribean
