This album fucking owns, I love it.
This was definitely not my taste
Heard a million times, one of the greatest albums ever, frankly
This album rules hard, love it. This is why I signed up for this, because I would have never listened otherwise
Pretty good but didnt exactly click
Nirvana was my favorite band as a child. They write music for children.
To make a classic album, you cannot please everyone. I was not pleased. My tastes are for up-tempo stuff like metal and punk; this album simply was not made with me in mind and that's OK.
I had really low expectations and was blown away
I'm sure this was great for the golden age of hip hop, but even by 1990, Public Enemy and NWA made this stuff look corny as hell. The eponymous track is dope though
Yeah, no, I'm not listening to this, thanks though
After decades of listening, I always think I'm going to get bored by Bob Dylan and he always surprises me. Good stuff.
I was very pleasantly surprised. I thought Jamiroquai was a one-hit wonder, but was proven otherwise
Simon and Garfunkel is one of my favorite groups, this wasn't quite at that level, but I enjoyed it
I liked LCD Soundsystem. Then the kid who recommended them nonstop turned out to be a pedophile. I can't really listen to them anymore. Sorry, LCD Soundsystem; it's not your fault.
I literally have lyrics from this album tattooed on my chest
I hated this, so boring, so mid
Not my favorite thing qtips done but its still qtip
Liked, didnt love. Some parts stood out a lot though. I prefer baduizm
Love this album. The happening is an all time favorite of mine.
More than a one-hit wonder, this album has so many great songs.
I like the Jam a lot, so this was pretty disappointing
Pretty pretty pretty good
Loved this, was surprised
One of the best ever made
Holds up all right but theres filler for sure
milquetoast to the nth degree
It was good, but not good enough to be like an album I need to hear
Thank god this wasn't the first time I heard the Byrds, otherwise I woulda thought that they sucked hard
Thought this would suck but it was all right
I did not like the song where they said protesting is dumb and inconvenient
one of my favorite all time albums
Above average, well-executed, witty, but not groundbreaking
one of my formative albums
I don't usually like country all that much, but this was good
One of the greatest albums ever made, I love it so much
Three buffalo gals go round the outside
the oddest part is when he tells people not to beat their wives
Fine. I have a feeling itll grow on me
A bit self-indulgent, but artsy fartsy pop punk will always get me
This is when I started to get bored with the Arcade Fire
Didn't think I could underrate Zeppelin, given their place in history, but this ruled
Not for me. I liked Everybody's Talking though, but the Nillson version is better in my opinion
a welcome reprieve from jazz. email my heart baby
I generally like ELP, this was just OK in my opinion
One time, in the days before smartphones, Youtube, and shazam, a song showed up on a Geico caveman commercial during an Eagles game. My annoying uncle heard it and loved it and made me look it up based on a small snippet of misheard lyrics. It was this song, and I will never forgive them for that.
3/5
One of the albums of all time
AHHHHH Father & Son always hits me hard since I lost my dad :(
not as good as later beastie albums but I get why it's historically important
Hated this, really dumb stuff
I finished listening 39 seconds ago and have already forgotten everything. I don't understand why this is on the list; it just doesn't stand out in any way shape or form. Not catchy enough to be great poppy, not edgy enough to be great rock, not experimental enough to be great avant garde or alternative. It's definitely a well-executed album, like don't get me wrong, it's not bad and I can see it really appealing to hardcore fans of indie rock, in the same tier as other greats like Arcade Fire and The National, but it shouldn't be in the canon of albums you need to hear before you die and those latter bands have much more interesting albums than this, in my opinion.
aged better than LL cool j, but worse than public enemy or the beastie boys. Not a bad album, and without it I think music in 2025 is drastically different, but it's not something I'm going to want to listen to frequently
Charlie Kirk tried fucking with Wu Tang, but he should have been protecting his neck
I'm sorry, I just really do not get the appeal of jazz
Didn't really understand why this made the list.
First listen didn't sink in at all but I was impressed on the second one.
Not my favorite Bowie album, but still a classic
one of the albums of all time
Elvis was a hero to most but he never meant shit to me he's straight up racist that sucka was simple and plain motherfuck him and John Wayne
are you having a laugh? are you taking the piss? this and other britishisms to explain my incredulity at why this album was selected for this list. It's not even like terrible, but this is very generic. It reminds me a lot of listening to our local radio station in 1999 when they would have the house DJ remix a couple of the contemporary hits at the time by adding air horns, shout outs to the radio station, and little noises here and there.
very much what I expected, they kinda suck though
This was incredible from start to finish. Not a dull track and many excellent tracks
This was nuts and i loved it
one of my all time favorites
a bit lopsided, but obviously one of the most influential albums of all time. The first three tracks hold up so much. And Dr. Dre is probably my favorite rap artist of all time (less so as a rapper than as a producer, though)
Bob Dylan is not exactly my favorite artist, but this album is undeniable
Some great bops, but a bit inconsistent
I forgot how good this album was
it's prince. it's fucking prince baby
