1. Let's Go Crazy - Insane opener. Great energy, amazing ending.
2. Take Me With U - Didn't enjoy it as much as the first song, but not bad.
3. The Beautiful Ones - Liked this one a lot. Amazing vocals.
4. Computer Blues - Super groovy. Really enjoyed this one.
5. Darling Nikki - I think this is one of those songs I'd like more as I listened to it more. Middle of the song kicks ass.
6. When Doves Cry - I like the flow of this one.
7. I Would Die 4 U - Pretty good.
8. Baby I'm A Star - Forgettable on first listen.
9. Purple Rain - Understandable why this song is so iconic. Amazing finish to the album.
I've listened to this album before, but I always enjoy listening to it. Solid through and through.
Not my cup of tea, but just not the kind of music I'm into.
Album starts out hot af. Bass is bumping and the vibe is groovy. I've, of course, heard of the second song on the album. It's well-known for a good reason. It's groovy and the inclusion of orchestral instruments really adds to it. Man, the album keeps it up as the songs go along. Each one has great vibes. 10/10.
I can appreciate the musicianship and performance, but not my style.
I'm just not personally a fan of Cee-Lo Green. I don't like his voice at all. That being said, there were a few songs I did like.
Favorite Tracks:
-Scrap Metal
-Childz Play
Incredible album. 10/10. I wanted to listen to this one again right after finishing it.
Favorite songs:
-O Grande Amor
Favorite Songs:
-Pleasant Street
Not memorable for me. 5/10.
Enjoyed the listen. 7.5/10
Absolutely neurotic album. The beats are sick, the lyrical content is crazy, but the album has a great flow to it. 8/10.
Incredible album from start to finish. An all-time classic. 10/10.
One of the greatest rock operas ever made. First half is better than the second half, in my opinion. 9/10.
Very good listen. Thoroughly enjoyed this one during my high. It meshed with the vibes perfectly.
I'm not usually into this type of music, but I enjoyed listening to this one. Really good music to jam/dance to. 7/10
Decent album, wasn't hooked, though. 6/10.
The musicianship is awesome, love the inclusion of all the various instruments, but I just don't like Mick Jagger's voice.
Really enjoyed my listen of this album. 7/10
Not for me, but I can see the appeal, especially considering the backstory of the album. 4/10
A few standouts, but an album that felt like it should've been 15-20 shorter. 5/10
9/10. Really enjoyed this album as a post-rock enthusiast.
Not my favorite Yes album. 6.5/10
Some songs were a little much, but some I very much enjoyed. 6.5/10
I would've rated this higher, but I just couldn't connect to the lyrics.
Metamorphosis was my favorite song, but I didn't vibe with some of them. 5/10
First song starts the album off amazingly. I'm already digging it.
After finishing the album, I still liked it a lot, but definitely enjoyed the first half more than the second half.
4.5/5
Not my cup of tea, so it's hard for me to leave an unbiased review. The genre switch-up midway through the album was refreshing.
Incredible for its time. Miles Davis walked so others could run.
Not really a fan of the story on this one, especially repeatedly using the word "rape" at the end of the album.
Not my thing, was kind of bland. 2.5/5
Genuinely a terrible experience for my ears. I couldn't wait for this album to be over. It sounded like a bunch of people were handed instruments they've played for 1 hour and were told to make an album.
Enjoyed the album overall. 3.5/5
YES is always such an interesting band to listen to. Their sound is very unique across all the different elements. Somehow, they all just come together and make for a good listening experience. 4/5
Reminded me of The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
Absolutely incredible album. 5/5
Incredible album.
Favorite songs: Blue in Green, Flamenco Sketches
Rating: 5/5
Sigur Ros has such a unique sound, but this wasn't my favorite album by them. Still good, but it felt like it was missing something at times. 3.5/5
Really, really fun album. 4.5/5
I enjoyed this album the further I got into it. I didn't think I enjoyed Karma Chameleon, but it's been stuck in my head the past few days.. 4/5
Really incredible album. The ending was phenomenal. I wanted to listen to this album again right after finishing it the first time. 5/5
Probably one of the best live albums of all time. 5/5
First part of the double-LP is amazing and super enjoyable to listen to. The second part of the double-LP is terrible and will make your ears bleed to listen to.
Just couldn't keep me engaged.
Just couldn't get into this.
Incredible album filled with beautiful songwriting.
Up and down album for me. I think the last few songs are much better than the beginning. 3.5/5
Absolutely immaculate album.
Not really my thing. Just didn't vibe with it.
Absolutely incredible album.
Not my favorite Bowie album.
Just didn't grab me like I thought it would.
Man, Jailbait is such an offensively horrible song that it immediately gives the album 1 star for me. The guitar work is absolutely phenomenal, though.
Phenomenal album from start to finish.
I can imagine this was probably a phenomenal album of its time, but it has held up completely in the face of our current climate.
Nothing particularly bad about this album, but I didn't connect with it.
Didn't really connect with it.
Lot of bangers on this album.
Man, there's just something about this album. It makes my ears feel good.
I could not get into this album at all. The vocalist's voice sounded like nails on a chalkboard for me.
A handful of the songs just go on too long. Didn't really dig this album.
Hit and miss. Definitely some hits on this one, but others just fell flat. 3.5/5
Truly terrible for me. The only reason I made it to the end is because I have an honesty pledge to listen to every album on this list to the end. I couldn't wait for this to finish. The vocals and the rest were both equally awful.
Boring and unforgettable.
Not sure why this was on this list, just feels very out of place.
An all time GOAT'd album.
Another immaculate album.
Not my thing at all. The songs just felt... idk. Just didn't like it.
Didn't really vibe with this N.E.R.D. album.
I don't feel like the orchestra was a good match for Metallica's music. That or the audio mixing was just... bad.
I've never been a fan of Korn, so this review is quite biased. The vocals and the bass both just sound terrible to me.
Didn't vibe with it, just felt really cringe-y.
Chill, neutral listen for me.
An absolute banger from start to finish. Wow. I immediately ordered this on vinyl after listening to it.
Crazy album. I want to give it a 5, but some parts honestly overwhelmed my brain. There's a lot of technical talent in this album, no doubt.
Favorite song: Child in Time
One of the best live albums I've ever heard. Incredible display of their talent.
Favorite song: Some Folks Is Even Whiter Than Me
