The songs that attempt to be really impactful (which is most of them) kind of overdo it and they fall flat for me, but I do find the more straightforward ones to be more enjoyable

It's easy to write off a lot of 80s synth pop as having aged badly but I think this one has enough musical depth to keep it interesting

It's nice-sounding but there's not much more to it than that

Great showcase of how much more creative a rock band can be during a live concert than in the studio

Great album but it does not reach the heights of Fragile and Close to the Edge

Just a bit of fun

This album is raunchy, dirty, ugly, and smelly. 5/5

Never heard of this before it was a pleasant surprise how enjoyable I found it. Also can people just do a quick google search before listening to these albums so that they are not needlessly listening to 30 bonus tracks before they rate a 36 minute album low for being "too long"

Would have been a 5 if that one line in Stray Cat Blues didn't exist

Half great songs half meh songs

Most of these songs went on too long

Idk it kind of makes sense for the songs about drug abuse and sadomasochism to sound rough

First listen loved the vibes of this

Some bangers with the rest being kind of annoying

One of the greatest songs ever made followed by some nice little folk tunes

Some of the songs are catchy but much of the album just blends with each other with a generic sound

Probably would be better in the context of the movie but I enjoyed the songs on their own nonetheless

Listening to a Bon Jovi song on the radio every once and a while is fun but a whole album? no

it's nice and all but also very conventional

my bloody valentine fans when someone whispers into their ear while a power drill is turned on for 40 minutes straight (aka i enjoyed this)

It's so jarring hearing Bjork singing in something that isn't hyperpop, but it still goes hard

The first half was kind of lame but the second half was actually really cool with more varied tracks

Just a really solid and unique album

Almost half of these songs are in GTA games so even though this was technically a first time listen it was still nostalgic for me

The second half seemed to have songs that I recognized more, those being really good compared to a pretty meh first half of the album

I think the instrumentals can be seen as generic blues rock that’s nothing to write home about, but the combination with traditional African music styles makes this a really cool and unique listen

Used to love a bunch of these songs when I had a metal phase and they still hold up for me

The best rock albums have a song where they're just like "yeah here's the drummer doing his thing"

I didn’t like this one as much as other doors albums before but now I see the vision

pretty superfluous to give this a rating but yeah.

some songs aren’t sad good as others but I’d say it deserves a 5 still

after enter sandman all of the songs are either dynamic and interesting or enter sandman but not as good

never got into motorhead much but i like their live sound

This is pretty good but honestly most of the songs had me wishing I was listening to amy winehouse instead. and the cure oddly enough

i got halfway through a different royal albert hall album from 1966 with the same track list before realizing it was the wrong album and then switched to the correct album which isn’t much different. moral of the story is i am insane but these songs are quite nice so i don’t mind listening to them again

this is silly

None of the songs are all that bad but this type of music gets tiring when listening to it as a whole album and not just as something playing on the radio

I love big Lebowski references but idk I think this is pretty good

First couple of songs are probably the weakest but once it gets going it’s bangers all the way through. Also Iron Maiden album art deserves a five in its own right

Got two Elvis Costello albums in a row but this one was significantly better so it’s fine

most of the songs were catchy with flashy production but just felt really shallow and sauceless and then the last three songs were actually quite nice and made me wonder why the entire album wasn't like that

It’s hard to rate something like this with it stemming from such a different cultural context than I’m used to, so I can’t really think about this the same as the 50th britpop album that Dimery included in the list.

there are no bad songs or sound mosaics on this album. if you disagree with me you are wrong

nothing particularly wrong with this it just has cheesy soap opera music vibes
