Did not like, tbh. But I do hear why it was influential.
Good background music but it did not stand out vs. Davis, Brubeck, Coltrane et al.
Apologies Nick Cave and the Bad Seed, I was unfamiliar with your game. This landed in the prime of my music listening years, so shame on everyone else for not getting this to me.
Loved this so much as a kid. Still feels important, but a little less so 40 years later.
This is like when I go to a restaurant and eat something that I can tell is super well prepared and made from excellent ingredients, but it’s just not my jam.
Pleasant. That’s all.
Definitely an artifact of its time. Can’t tell if it inspired everything else that sounds like it, or if it was inspired by everything else.
Easy listening at its finest. A pure distillation of the safest corners of mainstream American in the 70s.
80s distilled. Love.
Fine. Never heard it. Don’t need to again.
Didn’t realize how much this was my personal soundtrack.
Good solid blues.
Did not realize several songs I like were from this album. Regardless, I do not care for this album.
Yes to Yes. No to this.
Jimi is what we knew he was.
Excuse me, I was unfamiliar with how hard you rock and how funky you are.
‘Murica!
couple of good songs offset by over indulging the artist
Groovy.
Even as a child of late 70s and early 80s radio, I was not familiar with this brand of Genesis. I think it’s best everyone went their separate ways and flourished.
Relax. It’s better than you might guess.
Definitely definitely
Better album than state.
Nope
Ahhh the late 90s were really something.
Remain listening.
This is next.
I didn’t like this album when I was in college even though everyone said it was the best. 25+ years later, still don’t.
This album is art. But not Art.
Back to where? Not the top.
Ashamed to have liked this so much. But here we are.
It was destiny that Beyoncé would break out.
My ears were surprised by their range.
