Sonic YouthI think I would've liked sonic youth if I was a teenager in the 90s
I think I would've liked sonic youth if I was a teenager in the 90s
I think I liked it?
There was one song that I liked and the rest was Fine
It was fun but I don't remember any of the songs by now
I really really didn't like the harmonica, I didn't even finish the album.
I liked it, it was fun :) probably less iconic than most of the other ones so far but I liked it more
Really liked it :) I like that he wrote a song about longer boats (and I'm sure it has a greater significance than I'm giving it)
I liked it! Stairway to heaven is a classic and the songs were more varied than I expected them to be.
It was alright, not really my thing
I didn't like his voice so I gave up on it very quickly. Shame because I liked the song titles
It was nice!! None of the songs really stood out but I liked it more than the previous two
I am not that into jazz but I respect it and it definitely wasn't bad!
I knew I would like this album because I like the song pinball Wizard but I was not prepared for the pedophile song directly before pinball wizard so now I am conflicted on how I should rate this. Worst of all is the pedophile song was quite catchy. (it was not a pro pedophilia song to clarify)
I thought it started out kinda meh but by the end I really liked it! I might actually listen to some of these songs again so 5/5
I really liked it again! I will probably also listen to some of these songs again
I mean, it's Madonna!! Iconic
I mean, it's dolly parton. It was fun, probably won't listen to any of the songs again though
I am not a huge fan of this style of music sorry frank
Close enough to regular stuff that I listen to that I got all the way through it without even really noticing I was trying to listen to it and didn't really notice when it ended. Not sure what that says about it
I liked it! I enjoyed the bit where they just yelled for a bit
It's literally named horses and Patti Smith sounds like a really really cool woman I'm so disappointed in myself that I didn't really like the album. I'm sorry Patti I'm gonna work on myself it's not you it's me
Look it's talking heads. True fact that they Slap
Pretty good, obviously fast car slaps and I liked the rest of it too
It was nice :) I listened to it twice because I enjoyed it, real sitting on porch vibes
I liked the concept but the actual sound grated a bit
Fun but I don't have many opinions on it
I would give it 6 stars if I could
I didn't have a single opinion about the album as I listened to it
I got quite bored of this before the end and thought that the guys voice was a bit grating
I like the song my old school I've had it saved for a while :) the rest of it was also quite fun
I don't have many opinions on this one, it was fine?
I chose the deluxe edition of this album and it has a 33 minute long song on it. Would've been 4 stars because it was quite nice but I am deducting a star for THIRTY THREE MINUTES (which isn't actually on the regular album so maybe it doesn't deserve it)
I mean it's David Bowie! It's not gonna be bad! That said I didn't like any particular songs on this so it's not a 5
It was fun :)
I didn't listen to all of it because I got distracted but it wasn't bad and would probably get a higher score if I was working and actually listened. I did think it was a bit grating tho
Overall, enjoyed. Did not enjoy that there was ANOTHER 30 minute song, so point deducted
What the hell is this - my dad
CHRISTMAS
Quite fun, I should listen to more non English music, I did get a bit bored tho
I found it dragged a little bit but I liked the songs at the end more than the songs at the start
Quite fun, nothing that stood out that much
Vibey
I've slightly forgotten what I thought of this - it's talking heads so obviously I liked it but I don't remember any particular songs so it will go in the strong 4 category
It was ok - short so it didn't drag and general rock which I like, but idk after giving talking heads a 4 yesterday it feels wrong to give this a 4 as well
>1hr 7minutes >8 songs I have so many conflicting opinions on this. On one hand I really enjoyed the premise and the themes etc on the other hand most of the album was just random instruments with no lyrics or really any tune to them. I would rate this at a 4 and a 1 simultaneously but I can't so I am averaging them to 2.5 rounded up
I was pleasantly surprised by the variety on this album and I fell in love with a girl is a very good song
I quite enjoyed it! It was something a little bit different, though i thought his voice was a bit abrasive at times, but overall ye was good I liked it
I really liked this album! I listened to it twice through, fun variety and also fun rock woman idk what else to say
Ooby dooby
I have forgotten most of it but to be honest but I remember that I enjoyed it and I liked their cover of do the twist and I enjoyed reading their biography
I got quite bored of it and didn't really have any opinions while listening to it. But it wasn't offensively bad at least
I liked it more than I thought I would! But still not really my thing
On Friday morning I was in an incredibly bad mood and this made me feel a lot better so thank you Joni Mitchell. Though I think YouTube started autoplaying another album by her afterwards that I liked more
It was alright, not the best album by the clash but still fun
"Oh there are roadworks outside, that's good I can put on music to block them out" This album: "VRRRRRRRRRRRR". I liked the first song, but I got a bit bored of the album as a whole, and wasn't in the mood for the dissonance. I think if I listened to it on a different day it would get a higher ranking
V interesting to listen to, I liked the first half more than the second, which had quite a lot of harmonica like instruments. I think this list would be better if we had more albums like this and less classic rock.
I quite liked it :) nothing special, and I didn't really like the songs at the end of the album, but the first ones were pretty good
I think I enjoyed it? I remember I listened to it twice by accident because I didn't realise it had ended, but nothing that special
Nothing like anything I normally listen to but there were several iconic songs on here and I had a lot of fun listening to them :) considering giving this a 5 but there were also some songs I wanted to be over quicker so alas it's a 4 today
I like the gnome a lot it is a fun song, I don't remember much of the rest of the album tbh, I don't think it counts as a 5 star album even though technically I will listen to the gnome again. Maybe my standards are getting too high
I really don't remember anything about this album.
I really really liked that they wrote a song about breakfast
Initially I thought I was going to really hate this album but I actually quite enjoyed it. I was not a fan of the first song but the later ones were good
Alright, not that much to say about it tbh, chill but I wasn't that inspired
This was loud enough to block out the building work in my office so I am grateful. Quite enjoyed it tbh
I really enjoyed it :) at least 50% of this enjoyment was possibly due to how fun I think the album cover is but that's because it's Very Fun. I feel like it's been too long since I gave out a 5 so I'm giving it to this album even though arguably it's possibly not worth it. So yes 5/5 for the silly little guy on the album cover
The thing with having Adele on this list is that this album has played on repeat on so so so so so many car journeys and so the songs are just. Embedded in my brain. I cannot be any amount of objective about this album because it is too close to me. It's like trying to rank earth on a list of planets. Objectively probably not the best but it's mine! Anyway it was very nice getting to listen to this album as I'm not sure I've ever actually listened to all the songs in one go and it was a nice break from having to absorb new music or endure 30 minute long songs
I thought it was alright, don't remember that much more ngl
i don't remember what i thought of this one. Reminded me of my dad to
I'll be honest, I listened to one song from this album and decided I was in too much of a bad mood to listen to the rest of it because it was so long and it hurt my ears. I won't give it a 1 because I only listened to the first two songs but. It's close
This is difficult. On one hand, every song was essentially the same song over and over again. On the other hand, blitzkrieg bop is a really good song. This is like a 4.5 rounded up
I am happy to report it that this album had no harmonica in it and therefore I thought it was a lot better than the previous Bob Dylan one. I still don't really remember any of the songs tho
I listened to this like 3 times on the way to the airport but I retained nothing of it. I think I liked it?
Two hours is too long for me to be expected to listen to all of an album. So I did not. I liked smoke on the water because that's a good song but I was not inspired by the rest of it
I thought it was alright! Nothing that particularly stood out to me and I've heard great things about him but I think they were lost on me
It was fine? It took me like 2 hours to listen to the 1 hour long album because of work stuff and it dragged a bit
I did listen to all of it! Which possibly means it deserves a higher rating than several other albums that I've given 3s. Unfortunately I did not enjoy this, though to be fair the first song was a lot worse than many of the rest of them
The sun is out! If I close my eyes I can pretend I am driving to the beach in Cornwall and I am 9 years old. I will spend all day in the sea and eat at least one ice cream. In the evening we are going to go to our friends caravan for a barbecue for dinner and we will play nintendogs in the park and watch the sunset.
(panu I am sorry) I got a bit bored of how whiny it was at times, but I liked the bits with the saxophones (or whatever brass instruments they had)
I think I enjoyed it? Not sure I really had a single thought about it the entire time I was listening to it
This was less divisive for me than the last king crimson album in that the best bits were worse but the worst bits were better. However I'm just not a fan of this style of music idk I like my music to be noisier and have more words. I didn't listen to the two bonus tracks because I didn't really want to keep listening.
I quite enjoyed some of the songs on this album, but points off for a 17 minute long song
The 12 bar blues literally always slaps. As for the rest of it, I don't really remember it but I remember it overall being quite fun
This is an immensely fun album and not something I usually listen to. Will I listen to it again? Probably not. But I did enjoy listening to it all the same
Good ol' jazz album, I'm still not a massive jazz enjoyer so the finer points of whether or not this is good will have gone straight over my head but I did quite enjoy listening to it
It was alright, I quite liked the general sound but nothing really stood out
I really enjoyed this! Maybe I should listen to more Jamaican music...
YOU CAN CALL ME AL. BANGER. 10/10
Some classics, and I really liked that it was only 30 minutes long
I didn't have that many opinions on this album (other than that I like hotel California) but I did listen to it basically all day so I guess I liked it subconsciously?
Not that many opinions on this one either, it was fun but I got a bit bored
I enjoyed it :) don't really remember that many of the songs
This album definitely made me understand why Kanye was so popular, there were some fun songs and also a general sense that there's more going on in the songs than I really realised. However I didn't particularly enjoy the 12 minute long song where he just talks about how he was going to sign with one label and actually signed with another and. And not really my thing generally
I listened to all of this but I didn't particularly have a single opinion on it
I liked the song where he used horse imagery :) the rest was fine, it did suffer from the 10 minute long song at the end curse again, so +1 for horse -1 for long song
In general I really like synth music
I quite liked the shoutyness, but wasn't really taken by any of the songs, and on Friday I wasn't in that much of a shouty mood anyway. I think this wouldve got a higher rating if it was a different day
I only listened to half of this album because I got bored of it
I think if I liked this band I would've thought this was one of their best albums because there was lots of different stuff on it. But I was mostly just a bit bored
The name of this album really was something. The actual content was quite fun, except for the last song which was called 22 going on 23 (literally me fr) and was about a girl who had been sexually assaulted. So. Certainly covered a Range of subject matter
This album is exactly a year older than I am :). There's also a song where he slaps a woman? Its been over a week since I listened to this and I don't quite remember what my opinion was, I don't think I liked it that much
I liked this more than I was expecting to, nice n chill
I think I really like PJ Harvey :) None of the songs really stood out to me but I had a fun time listening all the same
This was quite fun, very ethereal
I didn't actually get all that far through this album so sorry if my opinions are wildly off for the second half of the album but the first couple of songs all sounded exactly the same and made me wish I was listening to a better nirvana song
I vaguely remember thinking this was kinda fun? But being glad when it was over?
I really like how one song goes seamlessly into the next one, and I didn't even get that bored of the album even though it was over an hour
This was really cool! I didn't expect this album to be as old as it is
I liked that it was only half an hour long. I didn't really like the man speaking in french which was most of the album
When I was listening to this album I remember thinking that I had absolutely no opinions on it whatsoever
This is another case where I sorta forgot I was listening to this album intentionally instead of just listening to my regular music, so I guess I liked it
I quite liked it, I didn't even get bored of the SEVEN MINUTE LONG SONG
I really enjoyed this album :) chill, not boring, good vibes all around
Mostly average fare, there was one song when I went huh this is a bit different but other than that very standard rocky stuff
I enjoyed the horse song and I liked that it was only 40 minutes long, overall quite fun
I think I enjoyed this :)
Bittersweet symphony is a very very good song, and I thought the rest of the album was pretty interesting. Definitely a 4.5 at least but not quite a 5 I think
quite screamy. not really what i was in the mood for yesterday, but i think i would have liked it on a different day
My dad has a goldfrapp album he plays in the car when we are on holiday but I'm surprised how different this one was to that one. Very much mystical forest music
I am biased towards lesbians so I thoroughly enjoyed this
I like Duran Duran :) so thoroughly enjoyed
It was quite pleasant :)
It was fine, but I got bored and didn't bother finishing the album, and already can't really remember a single song from it
Very very good album
It was alright I think, don't remember too much about it
There were some fun songs
It was alright, nothing that I enjoyed that much but nothing that I really disliked either
I thought it was quite fun :)
I am anti harmonica but this album was ok. -1 for harmonica sorry fred
I liked this less than I thought I would tbh, obviously I liked the classics but the rest of the album was kinda just a wall of noise idk
I really liked this album - I was very surprised to start it and immediately hear the horrible histories theme song, but overall it was enjoyable and I like the song alright
I wasn't a huge fan of this - in general I don't think I really like house music, and I found the beeps irritating.
Quite fun, I liked the song names and overall it was pretty funky
One of those albums where I can tell there's a lot more depth to it than I really appreciate, however not really my thing
Full of bangers
Didn't have many opinions at all on this, didn't hate it but didn't love it
I didn't really like this album, not a huge electronic music fan I guess
I think I have overestimated how loud heavy metal is because I was expecting this to be like wall of sound but it was not (sorry metal fans) but ye I really liked this it was good focusing music I actually listened to it multiple times throughout the day
I would describe this as a doobedy album. Chill and nice for a very tired Friday morning
Enjoyable, I think I ended up listening to it at least 1.5 times
Exactly what I expected from a linkin park album
I quite enjoyed it, I feel like my childhood primed me to enjoy country music
Not a huge fan of her sound unfortunately
Some absolute bangers on here
Good album, far too long for this though
Pretty nice album :) definitely good vibes
I really really liked this! I've never heard of this guy before but his music was v interesting (and he has a lot of songs about being gay)
Clearly not their best work (come on Eileen isn't on this one) but I still enjoyed it
I don't remember what I thought, probably quite liked it
Not many opinions on this either, pretty standard
another day, another review where I remember very little of the album
P fun
Quite funky, also quite silly, definitely more memorable than the others on here
I think it was fine?
I quite enjoyed, don't really remember any of the songs though
I really do enjoy motorhead tbh, I enjoyed this one especially because it had Hammersmith in the name
Pretty funky, I enjoyed :)
Fun :)
I truly don't remember anything about this album
Quite fun
Also fairly neutral
I like white winter hymnal! And I feel like I would probably like the rest of the album in the winter
Quite fun
Honestly quite liked it, tho the pc song was interesting. Reading the bio on the band (and listening to the album) also made me very surprised that this is my aunt's favourite band
Honestly, I really quite liked it, band seems very very cool
Ok now I'm less surprised that this is my aunt's favourite band, I quite enjoyed it to be fair though
I think I enjoyed it
probably didn't pay enough attention to review one way or the other - it was fine?
I really liked this album! I ended up listening to it at least twice (mostly because I had shit to do so I was focused on that) and I like the song that the 1975 copied a lot (it's now on my playlist)
I listened to this album. I don't think I appreciated it enough because I don't remember it at all, but I did like that most of the songs were only a minute or so long. Efficient
I reckon I could get into 60s garage music
Honestly really enjoyed this
Honestly I enjoyed more than I thought I would when I started it - it was a bit discordant but in kinda a fun way
I didn't like this album - I didn't finish it because it is very difficult to work while listening to a 7 minute long song called Rollin & Scratchin (featuring a lot of scratch sounds). Electronic music really isn't my thing unfortunately
Honestly quite liked this one as well, I enjoyed the ethereal vibes and I've added some songs to a playlist
I did listen to this several times through because it was very good concentration music, but I'm not sure I'd listen to it normally. Also not sure how I feel about a 20 minute long song
Pretty sure I thought some of these songs were by Keane. My dads favourite Radiohead album, I quite enjoyed it tbh
I got into work yesterday, shattered from moving all weekend, emotionally drained and looking like that one tired rage comic man, ready to listen to some two hour long experimental hammer and nail album. And instead, I got to listen to ABBA!! I have never been happier, this is such a good album 10/10
Quite enjoyed
I really enjoyed this! I liked how all of the songs blended into each other and I've been meaning to listen to this album for a while, so yeah very very high 4 stars
Quite fun
I remember thinking while I listened to it that I quite enjoyed country related things, but that's my only memory
Quite enjoyed, nothing that stood out that much but it was good music
Honestly I did enjoy this more than I thought I would, but it still wasn't all that memorable
It was quite fun and funky, but I do not think I want to be listening to an album about gynecology at work (also that bit kinda felt a bit weird)
I quite enjoyed, didn't finish it because of how long it was but I did finish disk 1 which was pretty good
Honestly quite enjoyed, bit different for me but good vibes
Most of it was pretty standard, I found the last song really grating though
Not very many strong opinions about this, I did however enjoy reading 2Pac's wikipedia page so there's that
Always nice to get albums that I know, I'm very conflicted on whether or not to give this a 5 because it has some absolute bangers but idk that's just Michael Jackson you know. However I'm feeling benevolent this morning
I hadn't listened to this album before and honestly I liked it more than a lot of the pixies stuff that I know
I found this faded into background music remarkably well, so I don't really have that many more opinions about it. When I was reading his Wikipedia page it said that in 2015 he was planning on releasing an album about space so I was sad that that doesn't seem to have materialised.
Enjoyed this one quite a lot, fun to find out where that one song came from
Quite enjoyed, not much to say either way
Good, fun, easy listening
I think I liked it? Don't quite remember to be honest
Pretty good, I mean it's prince idk what else I expected
I listened to a history podcast about the 60s recently so this went well with that! Very interesting to hear the origins of flower power hippie music! As for the rating, I don't really remember what I thought of it - I ended up listening to it twice through so I must have quite liked it but I don't remember any of it
I liked this! Ended up listening to it twice by accident
Enjoyed!
I think I enjoyed?
I always like some guitar
Not sure I finished it but that was for reasons unrelated to the music, it was fine
I would say that it was a bit too vulgar to listen to at work, but I quite enjoyed it all the same
Quite enjoyed, not much to say
very good :)
iconic beatles album, unfortunately for them I have got too used to beatles songs so I didn't really notice them
I actually really liked this - I've never really listened to Sufjan Stevens before because I'd always get bored but the songs were genuinely very cool and I'd like to read the lyrics and figure out what they were actually about a bit
Not really my thing sorry run DMC
I think I would've liked sonic youth if I was a teenager in the 90s
Elton John!!!!!
I didn't realise that the white stripes were a married and then divorced couple! Very interesting to read about, the album itself was ok, no complaints but nothing that I really noticed that strongly either
This was a very nondescript album, when I first started listening to it I was like eh I don't think I'll listen to all of it it's a bit long and then before I knew it I was at the end. So good to work to I guess? But not very inspiring
It was alright, I only listened to the songs once instead of the four times they were on that album
Quite interesting, I randomly recognised one of these songs but can't remember why
quite fun
I was having a difficult day so I ended up only listening to this on repeat and you know what? I didn't hate it. Thank you rem
Some of the songs made me tear up a bit because I thought about them too much but equally i was glad when this album was over
Very funky, I enjoyed
alright, good background music
Fitting with the title of this album, I don't really remember my opinions on this one.
Don't remember many opinions on it
I do not like bob dylan. harmonica is not a good instrument
No strong opinions :)
it was fine. Did not match the mood I was in though
I enjoyed this! Nice n vibey for Friday
I was in a right mood yesterday so I found her voice a bit annoying but I do generally like at least one song on the album
I genuinely didn't notice I was listening to this until it autoplayed a song by a different band. Not sure what that says but it's not bad I guess
Didn't pay that much attention but I wasn't the biggest fan
I listened to like 3 songs before deciding that I just did not want to listen to it anymore. sorry for being a hater but that's my truth
P good, enjoyed the vibes
I don't know if I've ever listened to any of the songs on this album before, but I enjoyed it
I don't think I knew who the first song on this album was by before today so that's fun. Quite enjoyed, tho a bit screamy
I mean it's the smiths, always good. I really enjoyed the song unhappy birthday, great lyrics
I've forgotten what I thought of this album
I think I liked it?
I think I thought it was cool but kinda long
Quite enjoyed, good vibes
I like pulp, this isn't an album I'd heard before though. quite fun, no complaints
I liked this quite a lot!
Nice
nothing that remarkable, good for working though
Very much enjoyed!
I've never really heard anything like this, so I thought it was really cool!
Honestly didn't notice I was listening to it until it was over
I think I quite liked it? I kinda forgot
Very standard and quite long
Such a banger of an album
Good music
I am not sure if I actually finished the album, but I don't think I'm a massive JT fan, sorry justin
Very much my sort of thing, I saved some songs :)
I mean.... no notes
Bangers
Pretty ok
Good vibes
Reading this guys bio was pretty interesting, but I didn't have many opinions on the album
david bowie good
solid album
Jazzy
Pretty good
Solid album
The main thing I have learnt about metal music is that it's a lot quieter than I think it is. Which probably makes it better music
I thought it had good vibes, I like the band name
I did listen to it, I think I enjoyed but I'm struggling to remember
I did indeed listen to this album and I think I enjoyed it?
