Simon & Garfunkel
3/5
There was one song that I liked and the rest was Fine
The Rolling Stones
4/5
It was fun but I don't remember any of the songs by now
Bob Dylan
1/5
I really really didn't like the harmonica, I didn't even finish the album.
Alice In Chains
4/5
I liked it, it was fun :) probably less iconic than most of the other ones so far but I liked it more
Cat Stevens
4/5
Really liked it :) I like that he wrote a song about longer boats (and I'm sure it has a greater significance than I'm giving it)
Led Zeppelin
4/5
I liked it! Stairway to heaven is a classic and the songs were more varied than I expected them to be.
Jurassic 5
2/5
It was alright, not really my thing
Tom Waits
1/5
I didn't like his voice so I gave up on it very quickly. Shame because I liked the song titles
Anita Baker
3/5
It was nice!! None of the songs really stood out but I liked it more than the previous two
Miles Davis
3/5
I am not that into jazz but I respect it and it definitely wasn't bad!
The Who
5/5
I knew I would like this album because I like the song pinball Wizard but I was not prepared for the pedophile song directly before pinball wizard so now I am conflicted on how I should rate this. Worst of all is the pedophile song was quite catchy. (it was not a pro pedophilia song to clarify)
Sam Cooke
5/5
I thought it started out kinda meh but by the end I really liked it! I might actually listen to some of these songs again so 5/5
XTC
5/5
I really liked it again! I will probably also listen to some of these songs again
Madonna
4/5
I mean, it's Madonna!! Iconic
Dolly Parton
4/5
I mean, it's dolly parton. It was fun, probably won't listen to any of the songs again though
Frank Ocean
3/5
I am not a huge fan of this style of music sorry frank
Close enough to regular stuff that I listen to that I got all the way through it without even really noticing I was trying to listen to it and didn't really notice when it ended. Not sure what that says about it
Dinosaur Jr.
4/5
I liked it! I enjoyed the bit where they just yelled for a bit
Patti Smith
3/5
It's literally named horses and Patti Smith sounds like a really really cool woman I'm so disappointed in myself that I didn't really like the album. I'm sorry Patti I'm gonna work on myself it's not you it's me
Talking Heads
5/5
Look it's talking heads. True fact that they Slap
Tracy Chapman
4/5
Pretty good, obviously fast car slaps and I liked the rest of it too
Neil Young
4/5
It was nice :) I listened to it twice because I enjoyed it, real sitting on porch vibes
Joanna Newsom
3/5
I liked the concept but the actual sound grated a bit
Johnny Cash
4/5
Fun but I don't have many opinions on it
The Clash
5/5
I would give it 6 stars if I could
Beck
3/5
I didn't have a single opinion about the album as I listened to it
Drive Like Jehu
2/5
I got quite bored of this before the end and thought that the guys voice was a bit grating
Steely Dan
4/5
I like the song my old school I've had it saved for a while :) the rest of it was also quite fun
The Blue Nile
3/5
I don't have many opinions on this one, it was fine?
The Allman Brothers Band
3/5
I chose the deluxe edition of this album and it has a 33 minute long song on it. Would've been 4 stars because it was quite nice but I am deducting a star for THIRTY THREE MINUTES (which isn't actually on the regular album so maybe it doesn't deserve it)
David Bowie
4/5
I mean it's David Bowie! It's not gonna be bad! That said I didn't like any particular songs on this so it's not a 5
Eurythmics
4/5
It was fun :)
Gillian Welch
2/5
I didn't listen to all of it because I got distracted but it wasn't bad and would probably get a higher score if I was working and actually listened. I did think it was a bit grating tho
Mott The Hoople
3/5
Overall, enjoyed. Did not enjoy that there was ANOTHER 30 minute song, so point deducted
Sigur Rós
3/5
What the hell is this - my dad
Various Artists
5/5
CHRISTMAS
Milton Nascimento
3/5
Quite fun, I should listen to more non English music, I did get a bit bored tho
Portishead
4/5
I found it dragged a little bit but I liked the songs at the end more than the songs at the start
SZA
3/5
Quite fun, nothing that stood out that much
Shuggie Otis
4/5
Vibey
Talking Heads
4/5
I've slightly forgotten what I thought of this - it's talking heads so obviously I liked it but I don't remember any particular songs so it will go in the strong 4 category
Boston
3/5
It was ok - short so it didn't drag and general rock which I like, but idk after giving talking heads a 4 yesterday it feels wrong to give this a 4 as well
King Crimson
3/5
>1hr 7minutes
>8 songs
I have so many conflicting opinions on this. On one hand I really enjoyed the premise and the themes etc on the other hand most of the album was just random instruments with no lyrics or really any tune to them. I would rate this at a 4 and a 1 simultaneously but I can't so I am averaging them to 2.5 rounded up
The White Stripes
5/5
I was pleasantly surprised by the variety on this album and I fell in love with a girl is a very good song
Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
4/5
I quite enjoyed it! It was something a little bit different, though i thought his voice was a bit abrasive at times, but overall ye was good I liked it
5/5
I really liked this album! I listened to it twice through, fun variety and also fun rock woman idk what else to say
Creedence Clearwater Revival
4/5
Ooby dooby
The Sonics
4/5
I have forgotten most of it but to be honest but I remember that I enjoyed it and I liked their cover of do the twist and I enjoyed reading their biography
Ray Charles
2/5
I got quite bored of it and didn't really have any opinions while listening to it. But it wasn't offensively bad at least
Massive Attack
3/5
I liked it more than I thought I would! But still not really my thing
Joni Mitchell
4/5
On Friday morning I was in an incredibly bad mood and this made me feel a lot better so thank you Joni Mitchell. Though I think YouTube started autoplaying another album by her afterwards that I liked more
The Clash
3/5
It was alright, not the best album by the clash but still fun
The Jesus And Mary Chain
2/5
"Oh there are roadworks outside, that's good I can put on music to block them out" This album: "VRRRRRRRRRRRR".
I liked the first song, but I got a bit bored of the album as a whole, and wasn't in the mood for the dissonance. I think if I listened to it on a different day it would get a higher ranking
Ali Farka Touré
3/5
V interesting to listen to, I liked the first half more than the second, which had quite a lot of harmonica like instruments. I think this list would be better if we had more albums like this and less classic rock.
The Teardrop Explodes
3/5
I quite liked it :) nothing special, and I didn't really like the songs at the end of the album, but the first ones were pretty good
Stevie Wonder
3/5
I think I enjoyed it? I remember I listened to it twice by accident because I didn't realise it had ended, but nothing that special
Run-D.M.C.
4/5
Nothing like anything I normally listen to but there were several iconic songs on here and I had a lot of fun listening to them :) considering giving this a 5 but there were also some songs I wanted to be over quicker so alas it's a 4 today
Pink Floyd
4/5
I like the gnome a lot it is a fun song, I don't remember much of the rest of the album tbh, I don't think it counts as a 5 star album even though technically I will listen to the gnome again. Maybe my standards are getting too high
Teenage Fanclub
2/5
I really don't remember anything about this album.
Orange Juice
4/5
I really really liked that they wrote a song about breakfast
Kraftwerk
4/5
Initially I thought I was going to really hate this album but I actually quite enjoyed it. I was not a fan of the first song but the later ones were good
Fela Kuti
3/5
Alright, not that much to say about it tbh, chill but I wasn't that inspired
Motörhead
4/5
This was loud enough to block out the building work in my office so I am grateful. Quite enjoyed it tbh
Deee-Lite
5/5
I really enjoyed it :) at least 50% of this enjoyment was possibly due to how fun I think the album cover is but that's because it's Very Fun. I feel like it's been too long since I gave out a 5 so I'm giving it to this album even though arguably it's possibly not worth it. So yes 5/5 for the silly little guy on the album cover
Adele
5/5
The thing with having Adele on this list is that this album has played on repeat on so so so so so many car journeys and so the songs are just. Embedded in my brain. I cannot be any amount of objective about this album because it is too close to me. It's like trying to rank earth on a list of planets. Objectively probably not the best but it's mine! Anyway it was very nice getting to listen to this album as I'm not sure I've ever actually listened to all the songs in one go and it was a nice break from having to absorb new music or endure 30 minute long songs
Iron Maiden
3/5
I thought it was alright, don't remember that much more ngl
Arcade Fire
3/5
i don't remember what i thought of this one. Reminded me of my dad to
The Fall
2/5
I'll be honest, I listened to one song from this album and decided I was in too much of a bad mood to listen to the rest of it because it was so long and it hurt my ears. I won't give it a 1 because I only listened to the first two songs but. It's close
Ramones
5/5
This is difficult. On one hand, every song was essentially the same song over and over again. On the other hand, blitzkrieg bop is a really good song. This is like a 4.5 rounded up
Bob Dylan
3/5
I am happy to report it that this album had no harmonica in it and therefore I thought it was a lot better than the previous Bob Dylan one. I still don't really remember any of the songs tho
Big Brother & The Holding Company
4/5
I listened to this like 3 times on the way to the airport but I retained nothing of it. I think I liked it?
Deep Purple
2/5
Two hours is too long for me to be expected to listen to all of an album. So I did not. I liked smoke on the water because that's a good song but I was not inspired by the rest of it
Brian Eno
3/5
I thought it was alright! Nothing that particularly stood out to me and I've heard great things about him but I think they were lost on me
Depeche Mode
3/5
It was fine? It took me like 2 hours to listen to the 1 hour long album because of work stuff and it dragged a bit
Throbbing Gristle
1/5
I did listen to all of it! Which possibly means it deserves a higher rating than several other albums that I've given 3s. Unfortunately I did not enjoy this, though to be fair the first song was a lot worse than many of the rest of them
R.E.M.
5/5
The sun is out! If I close my eyes I can pretend I am driving to the beach in Cornwall and I am 9 years old. I will spend all day in the sea and eat at least one ice cream. In the evening we are going to go to our friends caravan for a barbecue for dinner and we will play nintendogs in the park and watch the sunset.
Radiohead
3/5
(panu I am sorry) I got a bit bored of how whiny it was at times, but I liked the bits with the saxophones (or whatever brass instruments they had)
The Young Rascals
3/5
I think I enjoyed it? Not sure I really had a single thought about it the entire time I was listening to it
King Crimson
2/5
This was less divisive for me than the last king crimson album in that the best bits were worse but the worst bits were better. However I'm just not a fan of this style of music idk I like my music to be noisier and have more words. I didn't listen to the two bonus tracks because I didn't really want to keep listening.
Spiritualized
3/5
I quite enjoyed some of the songs on this album, but points off for a 17 minute long song
B.B. King
4/5
The 12 bar blues literally always slaps. As for the rest of it, I don't really remember it but I remember it overall being quite fun
Snoop Dogg
4/5
This is an immensely fun album and not something I usually listen to. Will I listen to it again? Probably not. But I did enjoy listening to it all the same
Weather Report
3/5
Good ol' jazz album, I'm still not a massive jazz enjoyer so the finer points of whether or not this is good will have gone straight over my head but I did quite enjoy listening to it
Sonic Youth
3/5
It was alright, I quite liked the general sound but nothing really stood out
Burning Spear
5/5
I really enjoyed this! Maybe I should listen to more Jamaican music...
Paul Simon
5/5
YOU CAN CALL ME AL. BANGER. 10/10
Van Halen
4/5
Some classics, and I really liked that it was only 30 minutes long
Eagles
4/5
I didn't have that many opinions on this album (other than that I like hotel California) but I did listen to it basically all day so I guess I liked it subconsciously?
D'Angelo
3/5
Not that many opinions on this one either, it was fun but I got a bit bored
The Mamas & The Papas
3/5
I enjoyed it :) don't really remember that many of the songs
Kanye West
3/5
This album definitely made me understand why Kanye was so popular, there were some fun songs and also a general sense that there's more going on in the songs than I really realised. However I didn't particularly enjoy the 12 minute long song where he just talks about how he was going to sign with one label and actually signed with another and. And not really my thing generally
3/5
I listened to all of this but I didn't particularly have a single opinion on it
Bill Callahan
3/5
I liked the song where he used horse imagery :) the rest was fine, it did suffer from the 10 minute long song at the end curse again, so +1 for horse -1 for long song
Gary Numan
4/5
In general I really like synth music
The Smashing Pumpkins
3/5
I quite liked the shoutyness, but wasn't really taken by any of the songs, and on Friday I wasn't in that much of a shouty mood anyway. I think this wouldve got a higher rating if it was a different day
Wu-Tang Clan
2/5
I only listened to half of this album because I got bored of it
Genesis
3/5
I think if I liked this band I would've thought this was one of their best albums because there was lots of different stuff on it. But I was mostly just a bit bored
Butthole Surfers
4/5
The name of this album really was something. The actual content was quite fun, except for the last song which was called 22 going on 23 (literally me fr) and was about a girl who had been sexually assaulted. So. Certainly covered a Range of subject matter
Common
2/5
This album is exactly a year older than I am :). There's also a song where he slaps a woman? Its been over a week since I listened to this and I don't quite remember what my opinion was, I don't think I liked it that much
Nightmares On Wax
4/5
I liked this more than I was expecting to, nice n chill
PJ Harvey
4/5
I think I really like PJ Harvey :) None of the songs really stood out to me but I had a fun time listening all the same
Cocteau Twins
4/5
This was quite fun, very ethereal
Nirvana
2/5
I didn't actually get all that far through this album so sorry if my opinions are wildly off for the second half of the album but the first couple of songs all sounded exactly the same and made me wish I was listening to a better nirvana song
The Prodigy
2/5
I vaguely remember thinking this was kinda fun? But being glad when it was over?
Red Hot Chili Peppers
4/5
I really like how one song goes seamlessly into the next one, and I didn't even get that bored of the album even though it was over an hour
Neneh Cherry
4/5
This was really cool! I didn't expect this album to be as old as it is
Serge Gainsbourg
2/5
I liked that it was only half an hour long. I didn't really like the man speaking in french which was most of the album
The Band
3/5
When I was listening to this album I remember thinking that I had absolutely no opinions on it whatsoever
Supertramp
4/5
This is another case where I sorta forgot I was listening to this album intentionally instead of just listening to my regular music, so I guess I liked it
Derek & The Dominos
4/5
I quite liked it, I didn't even get bored of the SEVEN MINUTE LONG SONG
Marvin Gaye
5/5
I really enjoyed this album :) chill, not boring, good vibes all around
Roxy Music
3/5
Mostly average fare, there was one song when I went huh this is a bit different but other than that very standard rocky stuff
4/5
I enjoyed the horse song and I liked that it was only 40 minutes long, overall quite fun
The Temptations
4/5
I think I enjoyed this :)
The Verve
4/5
Bittersweet symphony is a very very good song, and I thought the rest of the album was pretty interesting. Definitely a 4.5 at least but not quite a 5 I think
The Birthday Party
3/5
quite screamy. not really what i was in the mood for yesterday, but i think i would have liked it on a different day
Goldfrapp
3/5
My dad has a goldfrapp album he plays in the car when we are on holiday but I'm surprised how different this one was to that one. Very much mystical forest music

Duran Duran
5/5
I like Duran Duran :) so thoroughly enjoyed

I thought it was quite fun :)
Fred Neil
2/5

Blur
4/5
I liked this less than I thought I would tbh, obviously I liked the classics but the rest of the album was kinda just a wall of noise idk
Supergrass
5/5
I really liked this album - I was very surprised to start it and immediately hear the horrible histories theme song, but overall it was enjoyable and I like the song alright
Basement Jaxx
1/5
I wasn't a huge fan of this - in general I don't think I really like house music, and I found the beeps irritating.
Parliament
4/5
Quite fun, I liked the song names and overall it was pretty funky
Kendrick Lamar
4/5
One of those albums where I can tell there's a lot more depth to it than I really appreciate, however not really my thing
David Bowie
5/5
Full of bangers
James Taylor
3/5
Didn't have many opinions at all on this, didn't hate it but didn't love it
Fatboy Slim
2/5
I didn't really like this album, not a huge electronic music fan I guess
Megadeth
4/5
I think I have overestimated how loud heavy metal is because I was expecting this to be like wall of sound but it was not (sorry metal fans) but ye I really liked this it was good focusing music I actually listened to it multiple times throughout the day
Nick Drake
4/5
I would describe this as a doobedy album. Chill and nice for a very tired Friday morning

Enjoyable, I think I ended up listening to it at least 1.5 times

3/5
Exactly what I expected from a linkin park album

3/5

Not many opinions on this either, pretty standard

Manic Street Preachers
4/5
Honestly quite liked it, tho the pc song was interesting. Reading the bio on the band (and listening to the album) also made me very surprised that this is my aunt's favourite band
The Cramps

3/5
probably didn't pay enough attention to review one way or the other - it was fine?
LCD Soundsystem

Todd Rundgren
3/5
I listened to this album. I don't think I appreciated it enough because I don't remember it at all, but I did like that most of the songs were only a minute or so long. Efficient

4/5
I reckon I could get into 60s garage music
Garbage
5/5
Honestly really enjoyed this
Thelonious Monk
4/5
Honestly I enjoyed more than I thought I would when I started it - it was a bit discordant but in kinda a fun way
Daft Punk
2/5
I didn't like this album - I didn't finish it because it is very difficult to work while listening to a 7 minute long song called Rollin & Scratchin (featuring a lot of scratch sounds). Electronic music really isn't my thing unfortunately
Cocteau Twins
5/5
Honestly quite liked this one as well, I enjoyed the ethereal vibes and I've added some songs to a playlist
Rush
4/5
I did listen to this several times through because it was very good concentration music, but I'm not sure I'd listen to it normally. Also not sure how I feel about a 20 minute long song
Radiohead
4/5
Pretty sure I thought some of these songs were by Keane. My dads favourite Radiohead album, I quite enjoyed it tbh
ABBA
5/5
I got into work yesterday, shattered from moving all weekend, emotionally drained and looking like that one tired rage comic man, ready to listen to some two hour long experimental hammer and nail album. And instead, I got to listen to ABBA!! I have never been happier, this is such a good album 10/10
The Auteurs
4/5
Quite enjoyed

Quite enjoyed, nothing that stood out that much but it was good music
Bruce Springsteen
3/5
Honestly I did enjoy this more than I thought I would, but it still wasn't all that memorable
Dr. Octagon
3/5
It was quite fun and funky, but I do not think I want to be listening to an album about gynecology at work (also that bit kinda felt a bit weird)
Calexico
4/5
I quite enjoyed, didn't finish it because of how long it was but I did finish disk 1 which was pretty good
Miles Davis
4/5
Honestly quite enjoyed, bit different for me but good vibes
Public Image Ltd.
