I loved the sharply observed take on life. The lyrics were the star, giving you lots to think about.

Just OK
This is the album that a 15-year-old girl would listen to just before she slits her wrists.
Pretty audacious to use the word "genius" in an album title, but in this case - perfectly justified. The man could sing anything and make it his own.
Not a fan of country music but for what it is it’s fine.
Great musicianship, but they can get a little overindulgent.
Not a fan of the "album as therapy" approach. Not music - more like the artist is dealing with their own personal issues. Depressing and upsetting to listen to, and I guess that was the intent. Not my cup of tea.
Lyrics 4 Music 1
A good voice, but the album just seemed very overwrought.
Probably would rate one more star if you were on Molly
Great entertainer. Great voice. And the live album makes you feel the energy
Not at all musical, (or to my personal taste), but I can see how his lyrics would resonate with a younger audience. Obviously the man had a huge ego, but his words paint a picture.
Meh
Totally forgettable
A product of a simpler time - even though there was war, poverty, etc...Aside from the two big hits on the album, the rest of the songs were a perfect soundtrack for this era in a folky, non-strident way.
Moon in June was the only track that kept this from being a one-star review. I'm sure they are masters of the inventive, rock-jazz genre, but I guess it's just over my head. Did not enjoy.
Her songs, her voice - perfect combo
Such a unique sound. While not super melodic, the driving rhythms and interesting lyrics make this album memorable.
Background music. Nothing that stands out.
The Boss at his best
Punk and poetry. Perfect!
Too country-ish for my taste, but her voice makes for an additional star.
Interesting choice of album to showcase The Isley Brothers. Not really the songs from their heyday, but just some tepid covers of others' hits. Love the group, but not crazy about this particular album.
Not their best
Not usually a fan of live albums, but this format really showcased their artistry and musicianship. Really enjoyed it.
Some epic songs, but could have done without a few of the bricks. We get it - it's a concept album.
Started off okay, but ended up sounding more and more like a drunken session at a karaoke bar.
Is this a joke? Like a bad SNL sketch
Not his best
Has not aged well
Just not a fan.
