Great album, possibly one of my favorites.. "Brighton rock" and "now I'm here" particularly
I liked this a lot. I know Louis Prima as King Louis in Jungle Book, and feel like I heard a few of the songs on this album, but never connected the dots. Keely Smith (Prima's wife at the time) sounds great, and Louis' trumpet playing is very cool. Nice relaxing listen while I worked. Lots of good tracks including " Just a Gigolo / I Ain't Got Nobody (and Nobody Cares for Me)", "Buona Sera", and "Jump, Jive, an' Wail".
Not my sort of thing.. it may be good if you like that.. but to me.. it's just noise.
Great album, every song sounds great..
Just very "shouty" not my cup of tea at all.
I liked the first 3 songs a lot, but "by the time I get tp phoenix" at 18 minutes long is a little much as half of it is talking.. but the other three I liked.
Not for me, I think you have to be in a certain mood, or of a certain mindset to listen to this... maybe back when it was released I would have listened more.. but not to my taste now.
I liked Broken skin, letting go tides, nostalgia, but the rest I found very annoying..
Slippery When Wet had two number-one hits, You Give Love A Bad Name and Livin’ On A Prayer, and the rest of the album is good rocky stuff, including the theme from Deadliest Catch, of course... "Wanted Dead or Alive". I really like the balance of slow and upbeat rock songs on this album. It offers a great mix of well-known hit songs and lesser-known gems. Bon Jovi really nailed it with this one!
i just couldn't listen to this...
Not the most uplifting of albums.. his voice grated on my.. Love's enough is about the only track I liked.
"In the Ghetto: and "Suspicious Minds" are by far the best tracks on this album; the rest was ok, but not something I would go back to again and again. just a bit lackluster to me.
"Proud Mary" is of course a classic, and is the best song on this album, the rest are good, not something I would keep going back to...
Not really for me...
I liked it... would listen again.
I had never heard of Moby Grape, but I liked this..
The music is good.. I want you to want me is a favorite of mine.. but the screaming from the crowd was a bit much on this live album.
another lIve album that I could live without... I am probably suffering from not speaking french well enough to understand ...
Some great tracks on this album, and liam sounding at his best.
I'm sure it's good if you like that style.... I don't !
really liked it.. hadn't heard of him before, but loved his voice, and would listen to this again..
I was never a Smiths fan, but wanted to give this a go, as I only knew them from their singles.... I haven't changed my mind.. music to slash your wrists by !
Not for me.
Best album this week for me.
Nice quiet bit of acoustic guitar... I hadn't heard of Nick drake, but it is something to listen to in quiet moments..
Just horrible... lots of swearing and shouting.. what a noise.... aweful
like the voice.. she sounds pained at times, but get emotion across...
Certainly had me screaming... but mainly screaming to stop the noise!
Just awful
"I deserve it" and "amazing" were the best tracks for me, the rest was a bit bland/boring, wasn't what I was expecting from madonna.
Pretentious
Great voice, full of emotion at times.. Enjoyed this. didn't like the middle three songs as much as the others. but overall, a good listen
I just struggle with rap music. just not for me.
Love this album (I own it) her voice is so amazing and sensuous...
I thought i would like this, i liked a lot of their singles back in the day..nut i found this quite boring and repetative
I listen to jazz, but this was not something I really liked, maybe I like more tuneful stuff... didn't do it for me
wouldn't say this was one of the must listen to albums (but many here in this list are FAR worse) but it was easy to listen to, "How Can You Mend A Broken Heart" being the obvious stand-out song... but the rest was also ok too.. maybe a listen on a day I want something quieter in the background.
I never really liked Oasis back in the day.. maybe I should have been listening harder... I like both brothers bands now, and really enjoyed this trip back to their beginnings.. Liked it a lot.
I don't think I ever listened to a frank zappa album before... and it surprised me.... I liked it a lot... would definitely listen again.
good, classic, punk album
Really liked this pshycodelic rock album by Jefferson airplane.. I knew of "Somebody to Love" and "White Rabbit" before listening, but not the other tracks.. Enjoyed it.
More musical than most rap... but its still rap !
I knew "Hey, That's No Way to Say Goodbye" and "Suzanne"before this album, I like it for those quieter moments.. although he may be a more acquired taste based on his vocal style.
never listened to the stooges before, good stuff
Sounded very dissonant to me... was that the point.. I like "Bemsha Swing", and "I Surrender, Dear" as the top 2 on the album, but overall it was a hard listen, and not for me.
Love, love, love his album. Sade's voice is amazing.... top marks from me here. Finally an album in this list that deserves to be here.
Great piano playing and strong vocals.. a nice slice of the 50's
Wot.. there's no Zero stars ????
Not sure what I was expecting.. but it wasn't this....
My old boss gave me the original album with the working Zipper.... and I don't think really appreciated the stones till much later in life.... Wild horses and brown sugar two of my favorite tracks from the stones... I appreciate them so much more now than 50 years ago... that album sadly is not with me any more.
Just a little .... weird !
Love Is A Stranger, Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This), and Jennifer were my favorite tracks, but didn't really get into the rest
Smash it up was my favorite track, good punk album.
I liked Fraser's vocals a lot, definitely dreamy, prob a 3.5 but when I am in the mood.. a 4
"Cut across shorty" was the one track I didn't really like, a few covers in here along with some original songs by stewart.. showing his folkier side here.. not bad
A little "shouty" on some tracks, but overall.. I liked it.
Good classic rock album
Have loved this album for years.. for that say they were a one hit wonder... there were two hits on this album.. "don't you want me baby" was of course a number 1 track, but "Love Action" was at number 3 and was in the charts for 13 weeks... same as the # 1 song. as a group they had 6 other songs in the top 10 and a few just outside..
seemed very cool to me.. I liked it.
liked tracks like "Goin' Back" but some of the instrumental/experimental stuff not really for me.. but overall... was ok.
I liked it a lot, especially the slower tracks like "I believe" and "The Working Hour" and of course the hits, "Everybody Wants to rule the world", "shout" and "Head Over Heels" great album
Interesting and different... top 1000 album... not sure.. nice background music.
no way Jose.... how did this get on the list ????
I like breakdown, mystery man, luna and American girl... the rest is pretty good...
Never heard of the band before..some tracks sound very alike, and it's a long album... liked some.. not all.
Love this album. one of their best I think
I liked it lot... it's weird in a good way.. Her voice is almost mesmerizing. not one for dancing to at a party for sure... but I willlisten to this again.. I get the feeling I will hear something different each time.
I have never been a fan of The Smiths, but never listened to their albums either.. this on ewas ok.. but still pretty depressing
I liked it.. good soul music
never heard of The Monks, but liked this..
Not for me...
I like "hong Kong Garden" and a couple of other tracks.. but overall.. didn't like it.. too shouty.
Just a bit depressing!
not for me...
didn't get my going... a little weird with the whole gameshow thing...
I'm a big Kate Bush fan, in fact her picture is on my wall here as I type this.. but The Dreaming is not one of my favorite albums,
I really liked this..
particularly like their version of comfortably numb.
Can't really get into this...
a bit weird in places, but some tracks were ok
Not bad.. just not geat for me.
ok.. but nothing too standout for me.. just a bit... samey
again, not much in this one for me..
these albums are all starting to feel the same !
a little weird.. but different
obviously teh hit singles are great, but the rest of the album is pretty good too.
Liked it a lot, I love her vocals.
not sure I knew the Yeah Yeah yeah before this, but liked it a lot..
sounds good for the genre.. but not a great album for me.
Great album by the who.. varied across the tracks..
I liked this unplugged version way more than I like their plugged in versions! great version on man who sold the world
Love Adele's voice... great album
I was surprised by this.. I liked it more than I thought I would..
The record's gritty sound, powerful lyrics, and masterful musicianship make it one of the Stones' most enduring works. A classic for me
Didn't know of the Bill Evans trio before this.. but liked the contemplative piano music a lot... nice sunday night gentle music..
I'm just not into rap.. no matter how hard I try !
Bush’s voice throughout Hounds of Love is mesmerizing, ranging from tender and delicate to powerful and theatrical. Her ability to merge genres, from pop and rock to folk and avant-garde, makes this album feel timeless.
Well.. it's a classic isn't it ?
I liked it a lot.. "be thankful for what you got" is a great track.
A god 'ol lie in the dark and just listen album.... "I've Seen All Good People" is one of my favorite yes tracks
great voice.
Love the early beatles stuff
One of my favorite albums
Great album, lots of drama behind the lyrics... an iconic voice
