Excellent songwriting. Neil's falsetto can get to be a bit much after a while, especially without harmonies. Southern Man Only Love Can Break Your Heart I Believe In You

Interesting to see where New Order started out.
4.5
It was fine, but I doubt I'll revisit.
Better than 4, not quite 5
A little long. Somewhere between 3 and 4 for me.
I understand the appeal, just not my cup of tea.
While the individual tracks are at the very least great, this is kind of a hard listen for me from end to end in one sitting.
Solid album, but not something I'll be itching to revisit.
I struggle a lot with giving albums "3's", mainly because I can understand the appeal to the album, but it's not my particular cup of tea or because I'm not familiar with the context of the album. This is not one of those albums. 36 Chambers not only checks the nostalgia box for me, but I recognize how important it truly was in shaping the sound and culture hip-hop of the 90s and even early 00s. It launched the solo careers of some of my favorite rappers who ended up dropping some of the greatest rap albums of all time. For me, these reasons are more than enough to give it 5 stars.
I appreciate the lyricism, delivery and musicianship of this, but it's a bit of a hard listen from end to end for me. This would probably land around a 4 for me if it were shorter.
I love Meth, but this has never been my favorite of his works.
Some great lyricism nestled firmly in between a few hard-to-listen-to tracks.
Solid 3.5, good ambience but not particularly memorable.
Started out strong for me, slowly lost steam. Not a bad album by any means, just felt a little repetitive.

Giving this a 3 feels wrong, but it's not quite a 4 for me personally. 3.5-3.75
Wonderful compositions, amazing voice, but this is a VERY hard listen after a certain point. I understand the historical significance, but it would be an easier listen in bite size chunks.
Far too long and mostly forgettable.
Clearly well produced, genre bending and interesting, just not something I feel like I'll revisit.
Ok album. Really held up by the guitar riff on Money for Nothing.
This album deserves a 5 for its historical significance. It's listenability over 40 years later is another thing entirely. It's fine, but nothing noteworthy by today's standards. I'm thinking of a 4 after considering all of the above.
Not my cup of tea, and likely not something I'll revisit, but I can certainly appreciate some of the powerful lyricism here.
Length alone keeps this from being a 5/5 for me.
I would like this album a lot more if it weren't 2 hours long.
