Paul's Boutique by Beastie Boys
Aug 26 2025

One of the classics for a reason

Aug 27 2025

It was nice to hear Queen before they became so theatrical.

Surfer Rosa by Pixies
Sep 07 2025

I usually enjoy, or at least don't mind, noisy alt rock. But, surprisingly I didn't really care for this too much, it feels noisy without purpose. The hits are expectedly still good.

Nebraska by Bruce Springsteen
Sep 15 2025

I've listened to and appreciated many types of noisy music before, and at least been able to understand why it sounds the way it does. Not for this album though, "noise" in music usually still feels like it has a purpose, so this album feels less like a careful construction of noise and more like a random collection of sounds.

Bongo Rock by Incredible Bongo Band
Oct 08 2025

Very fun collection of funky, groovy, and rocking tunes supported by bongos, something we don't hear too often. Liked all the songs, just not something I would find myself listening to often.
