I'm dressing as this album for Halloween. It's horrifying
No wonder he hears America snoring, this shit is soporific
This gave me so many chills. Literally made me forget to breathe once, haven't experienced this in a long time. Wanted to pick favorite songs at first, but after another listen I can't, they're all amazing.
What if... this screeching is not harmonica but some entity that Bob Dylan came in contact with like in Saya no Uta. That thing just talks like that and he's the only one who can understand it. Aww, it's so cute, this little Lovecraftian monster is trying to help with the song! On a serious note, I don't want to be serious. It's like I'm given the same album three times already. I just can't generate a different response That being said, I think I'm warming up to this music, it was slightly more bearable again. This or the fact that I'm literally getting older
First song was good, then I forgot it was playing. Not too bad 5/4 this, 9/8 that, how about 3/5
Had to listen to this a few times to make my mind up on the rating I had only heard notget before going into this but yeah I still love Björk if my mood was aligned I would like it even more but its still amazing
It didn't have to be a live album. It didn't have to be a double album. It didn't have to be
*blocks your path* what do I did what any sane person would do, I listened to Beatles. I really want to want to like it, it's human nature to want to fit in. The thing is, I don't think it's human nature to like Beatles anymore, yet there they are - thousands of positive reviews for an album that's average in pretty much every way. It might be that everyone is right and I'm wrong but it's never happened before. The more reasonable explanation would be that it's not about the music, there is something more to it. When I was a little boy, I once sang Yellow Submarine at a karaoke party. I grew up in a country that is known for not speaking English, why would there be Beatles among blatnyak and nursery rhymes? Start asking questions. Everyone acts like it's something great while not feeling anything towards it, because they are afraid of being ostracized. You are supposed to like it. Everyone likes it. You're with everyone, right? It's all forced. The biggest hoax since ariposting. I'm on my fourth listen in a row. Why do all the commentators' nicknames on youtube end with four digits? I swear I'm gonna get silenced
It was pretty unremarkable. Why someone would add the sounds of babies crying and pestering children to music is beyond me. There were a couple snippets of interesting composition (the discordant choir into the fluttering wind ensemble at the end of "The Bed" was quite enthralling in my opinion). But, overall, I feel Lou Reed's ambition outpaces his ability, especially as a vocalist.
