Reviews (page 8 of 15)

I mean literally one of the most important albums of my life. There's no functional way to be objective about this. Good album. Would obsess over again. A+

It's not often I give 5 stars to an album that I wasn't already intimately familiar with, but I have to make an exception in this case. I think the only reason I didn't listen to this more when it came out is that my friend Mark, whose taste in music I really respected, told me he didn't like Radiohead. Why did I listen to Mark? I knew in my gut that I liked Radiohead but I was easily influenced back then. Anyway, Radiohead might be a little pretentious (which I think is why Mark didn't like them) but even given that I think this is a brilliant album. The sound is amazing, and the songs are beautiful. Sonic bliss. So, 5 stars it is. Screw you, Mark.

Inovador e original.

There is nothing new to say about this album. Every track, save for Electioneering is perfect - and on any contemporary band's album, Electioneering would be the best track. It's worth getting the 20th anniversary reissue just for I Promise, which would possibly have made this album even better. I've listened to the entire hacked minidiscs of their demos for this. I'm not usually so obsessive, but this is 'the one'. If I had to rank the albums I've given five stars to, this would be in the top 5, duking it out with the Beatles, Wu Tang Clan, The Fall and David Bowie for number one. Listening back to it, Exit Music is standing out as a really beautiful thing. My favourite track changes every single time. Even Electioneering has made it twice (when I first bought the album when I was 13, and when I learned to play it when I was 35). I see in the reviews that some people have called it too depressing and rated it low. It's actually quite uplifting musically, and there's nowt wrong with a bit of misery from time to time, you wellness obsessed morons.

The bestest album of 90’s. A masterpiece created by radiohead.

Great Album, Great band. On my top 20 albums of all time for sure Favorite song: Karma Police or No Surprises

Um álbum por dia 2. OK Computer - Radiohead - 21/06/1997 Claustrophobic, paranoid, oblique and dystopian, a big fuck you to Britpop. In 1997 this sounded like the future to my 31 year old mind. I always was a pretentious little git.

Possibly my favorite album. Tied with in rainbows. Favorite band.

So vibrant, and beatiful balance between electronica elements and the classic guitar, bass, drums drive

This is probably my favourite album of all time, not much more I can say here. Just a beautiful, haunting, immaculate work of art

C.L.A.S.S.I.C.

Does it get any better than this ... ? What can I say about this album that hasn't already been said...? Well, I met my future wife picking up Ok Computer at Plan 9 records in RVA, that's what. Though I feel like I am not alone in this experience, it is a special album for me. Since meeting her I've been fitter, happier, more productive, not drinking too much. Like a cat tied to a stick, a pig in a cage on antibiotics. Coincidence? I think not. No alarms, and no surprises.

This will always be among my most favorite albums ever. There is so much classical foundation to this entire album. I love all the remakes that have been done of it (like https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=keDSxbwoiqs and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BsDlH1lO2p4). I feel immersed every time I listen to it. There are some I like more than others, but overall it's a seminal album in my view. Let Down is probably my favorite...I love the build-up. Also, it is etched in my memory from their show at the old 9:30 Club where they played for this album's tour (1997?) and the lights and dry ice and the gigantic computers on set with the various equalizers going nuts at the climax of the song. I confess, my love for Radiohead took a decline after this album, for which I know I'm an outlier. Maybe I should renew my commitment to one of my favorite bands ever by revisiting them with a more mature (ha! OLDER, DEAFER) ear.

Six stars. A band evolving. Experimenting. Probing. Pushing the envelope. But still accessible. Emotional. Raw. Powerful. Nonsense, and also thought-provoking depth. At least when you can understand Thom Yorke. A voice that shouldn't work, but just does. And Jonny Greenwood's guitar work is amazing and stands out for not just it's skill but also how well it fits in with the experimentation around it.

OK Computer is only slightly, ever so slightly, below The Bends for me as it skews more experimental and electronic than it's predecessor. But it still contains a lot of the guitar that I love about the Bends with a more dystopian feel. I was reading old reviews of OK Computer and someone called it “body music that circumvents the head to reach the spirit.” That's a pretty apt description of what both The Bends and OK Computer mean to me. Radiohead is one of a handful of bands for which the lyrics are only very distantly important. For me, OK Computer is almost entirely about the feeling evoked rather than the poetry expressed.

a good album

Excellent.

greatest sadboy album ever

We Live in a Society

Radiohead is really great at (for example) saying, "We want to do a song that evokes Bitches Brew, but we want to make it our own," and then they execute it perfectly and it's super impressive, with thoughtful lyrics and everything. Occasionally, though, they forget to make the music enjoyable to listen to. That only happens a few times on this album, which is what makes it their best one. Also, they perfectly captured the 21st century zeitgeist in 1997. How? Best track: Paranoid Android

In my review of "In Rainbows", I wrote that IR was my introduction to Radiohead. This album actually shook something loose in my brain, and reminded me I was familiar with (of all things) "Karma Police" prior to that record. I haven't listened to this album front-to-back in a minute, but it's still just as good. It's a grand shift from what Radiohead was (a decent alternative rock band) into what they would become. This album shows the beginning flirtations of their electronic side (which they'd get more into on their next record), while still being accessible enough for their older audience. It's impressive, in its scale. One of those records I feel like I could discuss with the right people for quite a while. Favorite tracks: "Karma Police", "Paranoid Android", "No Surprises", "Climbing Up the Walls"

This is without a doubt an amazing album. Not my personal favorite but a good album nonetheless.

A modern classic. marking the transition of this band to a more experimental sound but retaining ‘songs’ that others complain they lost on the journey. A huge album and best listened from start to finish rather than picking individual tracks but… Top tracks : Airbag, Exit music (for a film), Let down, Electioneering, No surprises, The tourist

God I still love this album

This is THE Radiohead album for me. I remember buying it and bringing home to listen on CD. It was a very important album to my musical knowledge. Paranoid Android is one of my favorite songs ever, and I remember the music video vividly. However, Let Down is by far the best track on the album. I am not a major Radiohead fan, but this album is a wild exception. Just beautiful, inspiring, and fully realized. There's a little bloat/dead weight around the middle, but minor qualms with an otherwise, excellent record.

There are times when I feel really sad and down, not for any particular reason, but simply because of how difficult the human experience is. This album fully encapsulates those feelings.

An exceptional album, pretty flawless. Artful arrangements + one of the most compelling vocalists ever to be recorded = Magic. Whatever else was happening musically in 1997 was pretty much reduced to rubble by this one. Fave Songs: Let Down, Exit Music (For a Film), No Surprises, Climbing Up the Walls, Karma Police, Electioneering

I for one welcome our computer overlords. Best Tracks: Airbag; Paranoid Android; Karma Police

Obvious 5 stars

Some of the Head's best work

Tremendous album with the perfect accents and a clear vision.

This is the 14th album generated for me, and it's the first album where I've previously listened to the whole thing. I wouldn't consider myself to be a particular Radiohead fan, but I'm rating this 5 stars for quality and impact on modern music. It sounds surprisingly current (I felt super old when I realized that this album was released nearly 25 years ago!) and really captures the mood of our current dystopia.

Classic. Radiohead's best. 10/10 1. No Surprises 2. Climbing Up the Walls 3. Paranoid Android

I love this album, I've got it on a well used CD. An atmospheric masterpiece. stand out tracks - Paranoid Android Electioneering Climbing up the walls No Surprises

What else can be said about this album. Monumental

👍 chill. Karma Police will get stuck in ur head. Electioneering is interesting and The Tourist is just epic guitar.

I mean. This thing’s a classic. All killer no filler. Soundtrack to high school.

Wonderfully atmospheric, stirring

Basically perfect. Listen on good headphones!

Finally something decent ;)

perhaps a couple of songs are not so strong as the rest, but still a clear 5* album

Not my favourite Radiohead album, but this record sounds pretty much flawless and has some brilliant songs, so I'm left with no choice but to give this full marks.

just wonderful. Happy times sitting up with friends chatting late into the night with this on replay. Great album

I always think of OK Computer as the Pulp Fiction of rock albums. It changed my idea of what a rock band could do. To be so creative, so immersive, so beautiful but still kick ass - definitely in my top 10 all time.

Absolute classic.

So, so, so good.

Two Radiohead albums in one week! The album that got me hooked.

thinking of buying that one

instant classic, glad to get the excuse to listen to it again

Heavy nostalgia from the last era in which I did any serious music video watching. In any event, this one is to me peak Radiohead, and quite at the top of whatever their strange genre is.

corr blimey yes please very good yes

Absolutely seminal 90s album. Important piece of art

kitchen music

If it weren't for Fitter Happier, this would probably be as close to a perfect album as there is. Climbing Up the Walls is so powerful, with amazing track after track.

I was pretty sure we would see Ok Computer on this list and I am so glad it came up this early. This record came out when I was 14, I loved it then and it remains as great as I remember. The album is one of the first I remember sitting down and poring over the liner notes trying to decipher every one of the lyrics. It was profound to me and extremely rewarding. This album spoke to a young me. -Self loathing and contempt for everyone else! -Aliens, robots and Blade Runner. -The power of nihilism. - Distrust and contempt for government. -An understanding that our collective goal is just to find a quiet hole to die in. Did I find an album that suited me perfectly or was I reborn as a manifestation of this record? Hard to say. What I can say for certain is it holds up and rocks as hard as anything this mopey possibly can.

I've always liked this album. It takes me back to high school; back when you'd still listen to an entire CD because you paid good money for it. Even now, I could have it on in the background and listen to it all without selecting just one track and moving on to something else. I remember that at the time it came out, it sounded different than a lot of other stuff on the radio, but now I notice that a lot of bands have since tried to emulate it. Twenty-plus years later, I think the album still stands up

Perfect one, amazing harmony, unforgettable music (just because it’s forgettable )) every melody is not like usual pop melodies, it’s always changing, it’s never the same, and it’s my favourite kind of music. But at the same time it’s not my “sense-of-the-world” album. But I believe him and I understand him and I love it

They look like a mock troupe, but this is one of the best going

I don’t especially think of myself as a Radiohead fan, and I wouldn’t think to list them as one of my favourite bands, but several of their albums unquestionably deserve a 5 star rating, including this one. Exit Music stops me in my tracks every time.

Fantastic - from prog to solid rock to a killer ballad, this album runs the gamut. I like this more and more over time.

Many great songs, just one or two not so great

Great album, really trippy. I particularly like Subterranean Homesick Alien, Karma Police, No Surprises, Lucky, although the quality is maintained throughout. Would I love this as much as I do, had I not heard it before? Not sure, but I do love it, so this is officially the first 5* album on this list for me (after 38 albums listened).

Just beautiful half or more of the album saved. 4.75/5

Too many good songs. Not perfect but its better than a 4.

probably one of the greatest albums of all time

No need to listen, though I will. A treasure.

great album that I own

Classic

Fave from the 90's

Amazing nuff said

Top notch

Thoroughly enjoyed this one. Airbag, No surprises, and The Tourist were my favourites.

Incredible album through and through

Evolution between pablo honey rock band and kid a electronic-edged pomo.

A great album. Enjoyable to listen to when feeling a bit low. Emo vibes 🥸

Still perfect

Impeccable. Nothing else to say. It is perfect in every way. Absolutely sublime record from start to finish. A fucking masterpiece.

In my top 10 the songs are all awesome, and the album composition is equivalent to a symphony.

Greatest album ever recorded.

I wish i could give this a 4.5 bc that would be the perfect score. I liked that the songs didn't sound all the same and they had distinctive different moods. I think Exit Music is a masterpiece

¡Bah!

A happy revisit to the legendary OK Computer, to think that this album is from 1997 is insane to me.

I actually rated Rainbows by Radiohead a 2 previously - but thought OK Computer was fantastic. I really enjoyed it and thought to myself I should listen to more Radiohead - until I remembered I might have already listened to one of their albums from this list and saw that I didn't like that one at all. Still, this was good enough to make it work giving some others of their older albums a try, even if I don't seem to be a fan of their 'newer' albums. My favorite tracks were Karma Police, Subterranean Homesick Alien and The Tourist. The only one I disliked was Paranoid Android.

One of my top ten albums of all time

Flawless

Best so far...although it’s not the Bends, it was the “best album ever” in its time. Good old Oxford (Abingdon) band.

classic

We're supposed to all agree that this is perfect, aren't we? It was the first of the 'groundbreaking' Radiohead albums after their early indie efforts. Exit Music is my favourite Radiohead song. Still think The Bends is better though.

The best album about car crashes I've ever heard

Still as perfect as I remember 👍

Absolute classic.

One of my all-time favorites!

Stone cold classic

amazing album every single song an absolute slap and all fits together perfectly

Hadn't listened to this in a looooong time. Don't really understand why. I loved it at the time and it's still great now.

Still a masterpiece

Good sound. A bit violent at times. A bit of tonal whiney sound at points or specific songs. He's very able to open it up and is very good when he does.

One of my favourite albums of all time. Radiohead is clearly on another level.

Ok Computer good, not as good as the bends.

i mean come on. sooooo good

How could you give anything but a 5 for this classic. What a band and what an album!

of course the best album

One of the best albums of all TIME!

Another masterpiece. Right at the cusp before Radiohead got too electronic and weird

Big fan. Solid album. I bet we see RH again a few more times.

Greatest of all time, if music was a contest. Prescient and sharp almost 30 years later.

Life changing album for me in high school. Absolutely incredible.

Incredible album. Was a big part of my teenage.

Great - would listen again

Forgot how great this album is!

Chill vibes and strange tunes. A couple classics' a couple hidden gems.

An absolute masterpiece of an album.

Aptly considered one of the best albums ever made.

Still great. Probably their best album.

9/10 exit music for a film electioneering

Great Album that some call The Greatest Album. fav track: let down

I didn't listen to it, but it's probably my favourite album of all time.

Legendary album. A top 100 easy in the 20th century.

Not as good as ‘The Bends’, but pretty fucking amazing.

One of the best albums of all time.

The best Radiohead album

The best

Awesome

Oh dang. Truly one of my fav records of all time.

So so so so good. Best of the year. Best of the decade?

One of the best ever...

Really enjoyed this!

Masterpiece.

top album known well

probably good

Enjoyed.

1997: Paranoid Android, Karma Police, Exit Music (For a Film), No Surprises

Not Radiohead's best but it's a high floor album

Great songs like "Paranoid Android", "Karma Police" and "No Surprises". A little too depressive for my taste but it's very good.

Rufus Wainwright called and got me all confused on who the lead singer is. I know people love Radiohead. It's good. I like it. A past version of me probably would have really liked it.

That was a fun listen, don't know if I'd search it out. But if it came on, I wouldn't be mad.

Really good 4.5

Muy bueno y nostálgico

Although I know quite few of the song on this album simply because they were everywhere in the late '90s, I have never listened to the whole album. I considered Radiohead too pretentious at the time and I just couldn't get into them. I have now realized it was the fans, not the band or the music that sucked. I really liked this.

Best Radiohead album in my opinion.

Starts off interestingly with Airbag Paranoid Android is a classic. Subterranean homesick Alien is clean and ethereal. I think No Surprises is my favourite song off the album. I dunno, I get why people like Radiohead but they really come across as pretentious to me. This is technically a good album but I just find it has no heart. Still, OK commuter is easily Radiohead's best.

I was actually just thinking of listening to this album a couple days ago before starting this. Great album, but not perfect. I have to be in the right vibe for it - it's not a listen any time anywhere type of album for me.

Too much radio, not enough head. What can I say? It's anti-britpop: sad, progressive and try-hard. This makes it (in my opinion) automatically better than most it's contemporaries. It is however often way too whiny and not their best record, which is In Rainbows. That comparison isn't fair as that record contains some of hmy favourite songs to exist. Still, OK computer has some gorgeous instrumentation, with tight drumming, sweeping guitars and when the whiny vocals do click with you, there is nothing like the agonizing, crushing sadness and self-loathing of a radiohead song. Art exists to make you feel things and radiohead are kings of this. Favs: Exit Music(For a Film), Karma Police, climbing up the walls. 8/10

A great rock album, that builds on a very timeless message apparently, as it has felt only more and more fitting to talk about these themes in the last 30 years.

A Classic Rating: 4/5 GEMV (19.06.2026)

I liked this radiohead album much better than the rest so far. Karma Police, Paranoid Android, No Surprises and Airbag are bangers, the rest is meh but not awful.

I don’t think I’d ever actually listened to the lyrics before. Fantastic.

I absolutely adored this album when it came out. It's still quite lovely.

For fucks sake, did Radiohead pay to have this list put together? This is the 4th album of theirs and I am only 60+ albums in. If it had been 4 from the Stones or even the horrible Beatles I would understand but Radiohead? Come on already. There are other artists even from this time period you could have us listen to. That soap box diatribe aside, this is actually one of the better Radiohead albums. But enough Radiohead already. :)

Great album, and it marks a clear shift in their more experimental direction that continues in later releases. 4.2/5.0

Bah…

barely thought about this as i listened due to how written on my brain it is. idk man it's Ok Computer, it's probably pretty good? Let Down - what a song! Lucky - very beautiful! the rest is there too! on to something less obvious i hope!

No recordaba 1997 siendo tan melancolico y triste.

Respect

A classic, but I listen to Radiohead to disassociate so I’m team Kid A. Electoneering an underrated banger.

Good album - somewhat ethereal sounding at times and it’s impressive to be able to do that without just sounding like white noise

though it's not my type of music...but it was great and i suck at reviews so im gonna end it here

I thought i liked it a little bit more

Still incredibly relevant in modern times

#405 / 1089 Heard before? ✅ Revisit? ✅ This is the album I learned to love in the late 90's, around the time I felt brit rock and the whole "lad movement" had run it's course, at least for me it had. I think I purchased the 'Karma Police' CD single on a whim from a mate working at a record store, but it hit me like a ton of schadenfreude bricks. The track some how felt like friend from another place. The soundscape of the album is very pleasing, songs are clean, kind of sad but also very powerful, filled with emotion and Thom's singing emphasises the feeling of vindication. Somehow it's a powerful soundtrack for the weirdoes, outcasts, nerds and the unseen. I have no explanation why I feel like this, that just is what it is. This is almost a 5/5 album, but few unnecessary tracks drag it to the verge of 4/5. The 'OKNOTOK' version of the album is 4/5, teetering towards 3/5, as it's just too long.

I have listened to this album before and it is a good one. Paranoid Android and Karma Police are definitely the most iconic songs in their library. I don't really have much to say about this album, but I do appreciate that its melancholic tone is not off-putting for my taste in music. Think Nine inch nails without the the harshness of their industrial metal sound

Really good but is it a classic?

Really good album, but I don't get why this is considered their masterpiece...I like Pablo Honey and The Bends much more.

++: Airbag, Paranoid Android, Subterranean Homesick Alien, Let Down, Fitter Happier, Electioneering, Climbing Up the Walls, No Surprises, Lucky +: Exit Music (For a Film), Karma Police, The Tourist 9,1/10

altijd een banger

Paranoid Android is the work of a group of diseased minds, and I mean that in the best way possible. The main riff is an earworm, and when the distorted guitars kick in, it's like listening to a mental breakdown. The solos draw from Joey Santiago's one-note licks, and it's all very visceral. Karma Police contains one of my favourite chord progressions, and the sonic movement throughout is a masterclass in song arrangement. The rest is pleasant enough.

Excellent shit. Feels like an album that would sound amazing in 1977, 1987, 1997, 2007, 2017, or 2027. An easy 4, maybe a 5, who could say?

Always preferred In Rainbows but this is such a great album, if not a bit too depressing at times

Amazing sound, great tracks, loses momentum towards the end.

Some tracks are great. Some are grating. It’s hit or miss for me, but the great tracks are *much* better than the best of the other Radiohead album we had.

musically defining the genre. a classic

7 GOOD

My third Radiohead album on this list (enjoyed The Bends and hated Kid A), this is apparently the album most fans of the band and critics say is their best and most influential work. Still not a fan of Thom Yorke or his vocal style, but most of the music on here was creative and isn’t dated in the least almost 30 years after its release (god, we’re old). It’s experimental while still being accessible to rock fans with more “normie” tastes like myself; I loved the layered guitars on a couple tracks. Outside of tracks 4 & 7, I thought this was a really good album. Not perfect (to me), but a solid 4/5.

Great album. High end experimental rock. The sound almost feels ahead of its time. A mix of the jazzy ambient rock sounds of heavier U2 (bullet the blue sky). Melancholy at times but heavy, busy, with lots of experimental electronic sounds.

Oh hell yes lol

I heard about this band before.. I had some big hopes for this album, it is in no way bad at all.. But I don't think it is amazing, has some good songs tho Fav songs - Let Down, Karma Police, No Surprises 4/5

When I think of the sound of Radiohead, this is probably the album that comes to mind. I've always loved the song "No Surprises," and I still turn it up and sing along whenever it comes up on the radio.

Its hard to classify Radiohead as anything particular, maybe "experimental"? This album was melancholy and thoughtful. I enjoyed it.

No one crafts dystopian, ethereal, melancholic, yet painfully human compositions quite like Radiohead. I think one of their albums definitely deserves a spot in the top 100 of all time, although I'm not sure if it should be this one. Still, it was very powerful. One composition technique I noticed that's characteristic of their music is that the bass line is often intermittent or does not arrive until late in the song, thus elevating its impact to the song when it does come in. The first track on this album is kind of what I'm talking about, and another example that I really like is "15 steps" from their album "In Rainbows."

It's a strong four for me. I feel the need to knock it down a peg for two reasons: I don't really like Yorke's voice, and Radiohead has a depressive quality that I don't enjoy. Some sad music makes me feel sad in a good way, but Radiohead usually gives my depression, depression. I know a four is pretty harsh here, because the arrangements are excellent, the production is excellent, there's a wide range of emotions, plenty of ideas... The transition from track 9 to 10 is fantastic But my heart isn't fully in it. I hear a lot of influence on the vocalist of the band Geese in the song "No Surprises"

Treba 4.2, mela jsem docela vibiky na tohle. Proste radiohead

It’s ok

4 very good songs, rest of them im not that depressed to like them so much, so its a four star for me.

Heard Many Times Before; 4; There's so much to listen to and unpack here, and I don't think I've given this album the attention it deserves. There's so many interesting sounds tucked away in every corner of these songs, and I really enjoy the reverb and ambiance of the guitars throughout the album. At the same time, there's still plenty of catchy hooks. Difficult to pick a favorite track, as this really does feel like an album that's best enjoyed as a whole. Favorite Track: Electioneering

sometimes i wish they didn't grow up so quickly

I mean... it's OK Computer.

i mean it’s a great album but it doesn’t matter how many times i listen to it, i still can’t get this feeling of 10/10 masterpiece top 30 album oat :( great production, great texts, “no surprises” is one of the greatest songs ever made, but i just can’t feel this album 4.5

Parece un futuro distopico dónde nos contralan las máquinas and i love that

Most overrated album of all time (laudatory).

You ever listen to Paranoid Android like a thousand times and notice that it really rocks out until it doesn’t? Radiohead time and time again bring the force and then snuff it out, afraid to have fun. In my old age, I’ve decided I’d rather listen to Lady Gaga. She’s not afraid to go for it and risk looking cheesy (I don’t think she does look cheesy, by the way). Other mainstream examples also apply. In sum, we all bow down to Radiohead, I get why we do and I get why we have. I understand their massive influence, yadda yadda. I’m just sick of feeling that they seem to think it’s cool to have a rock out release, but not cool enough to fully commit to it. Discuss. Also, to everyone saying this is peak Radiohead, it ain’t. Kid A brought them further. Amnesiac and Hail to the Thief are massively underrated, and In Rainbows is smooth as a baby’s butt. I still think Radiohead suppress their rockoutability on all mentioned albums though.

La verdad? Muy buen disco. Que grande los cabeza de radio.

Had already listened to this before, forgot to log it in here. I will be relistening the album. Pretty cool.

Cool vibe. I'll rock out to then again.

Airbag is a tune

Call me unsophisticated, but I prefer The Bends. It's still a bloody good album, though.

Karma Police is probably my favourite Radiohead song. I liked this album the most so far of all the Radiohead albums, cause I really like their grunge sound. Solid Album, tons of solid tunes.

I thought this was a great album. Not my favorite by Radiohead, that award belongs to In Rainbows. It’s funny how much more I appreciate this album more now that I’ve listened to a bunch from this list. I really appreciate how Radiohead can really put a collection of songs together.

I got a fevah and the only curah is moah plaintive falsettah!!

Great album, heard most of the songs before but always a good refresher

Review - not as good as Kid A, but a great modern(ish) prog album Score - 9/10 Need to listen? YES

better every time I listen to it. Find the themes do get old

I now understand why my angsty high school girlfriend had this album cover as a poster in her bedroom

Ok, so it is really good actually

Well! Never listened to any Radiohead aside from Patrice O' Neal singing Creep. I knew this was a biggie though. I don't know if I should be shocked or not, but that was great and I really liked it. I'm not sure if I can give it the full 5 because Electioneering and Climbing Up the Walls kinda let me down. They weren't bad, but they were just okay on an album full of absolutely stellar music. I guess you need the discord of Climbing Up the Walls for No Surprises to hit harder, so I can give that one a pass but Electioneering feels like it wanted to be bluesier but didn't quite get there through the alt rock vibe. Hmm. 10 tracks of stupid good music and 2 just average tracks... I guess I gave Electric Ladyland a 4 for the same reason so, I did love it, but 4.

A little whiny, but a good album. If I really like Radiohead, I would probably love this album.

Best Songs: The Tourist Electioneering

Very cool album

Some people call this album the "Dark Side Of The Moon of the 90s". Quite a loaded statement, and I don't quite agree. Still, there's quite a lot of good songs on this, but a few mediocre ones as well that drags down the overall impression. The standouts are 'Paranoid Android', 'Let Down', 'Karma Police', and 'No Surprises', with 'Let Down' being my favourite one on this record. That's quite many of their hits already being on one record, which is impressive! I think there is enough variety here to make it really interesting, but when I listen through it all there are some songs that I just want to skip past. Like 'Airbag', 'Exit Music (For a Film)', and 'Fitter Happier' to name a few. I think I've grown to accept some weaker songs as well from having heard this album quite a few times. But in the end I can't wholeheartedly give this a 5, it'll have to be strong 4 for me. Probably their best album along with The Bends.

It’s really good but not my favorite Radiohead album

Fantastic album, it’s Radiohead of course, a tier

Not their best album

I know this album is considered one of the greatest of all time, but it’s never fully clicked for me. I think part of it is my struggle with Thom Yorke’s vocals. There’s emotion there, but it doesn’t always reach me. The music pulls me in, but the vocals keep me at a distance and emotionally disconnected. It’s one of those albums I respect more than I actually connect with.

I like it now, it's still too pretentious.

This album is definitely outside of my comfort zone. I typically don't love listening to more melancholy songs because music really affects me emotionally and I don't like being bummed out (haha). I think my favorite song was Subterranean Homesick Alien. I also really enjoyed the first part of Paranoid Android. I think I need to give this one another listen in the future and pay more attention to the back half. On this first listen, I'd give a 3.5/5.

I liked it. Stand out song is karma police which is just such a good song. 7/10

They drew influence from some of the greats like Can and REM and created something hugely influential for the bands to come. Back in my youth when this came out I considered it too "whiny" but as I have grown and come to appreciate art more and my tastes have expanded I can see how great this album is. I have it on vinyl and I love how it feels like 4 distinct parts, the sequencing is fantastic. Bass provides great grooves throughout and the electronic fills sound awesome, the production is top notch.

An absolutely perfect record by any measure, just one that I only have so much of an attachment to. 4/5

I don’t think this album is the greatest thing to ever exist like some people think. It’s certainly full of memorable songs and interesting production. But it’s not an album for all seasons. This is an album for when you are depressed and anxious, but doesn’t feel like the kind of thing I would want to listen to when I’m having a great day. I’ll put it on the list to listen to again when the correct circumstances hit though.

Another one I'm already very familiar with. Song by song: Airbag: 4.5 Paranoid Android: 5 Subter. Homesick Alien: 5 Exit Music: 5 Let Down: 3.5 Karma Police: 4 <Fitter Happier> Electioneering: 4 Climbing Up the Walls: 3.5 No Surprises: 4 Lucky: 4 The Tourist: 3 Drags a tiny bit at the end, but those first tracks are killer.

I said a lot about this band in my previous Radiohead review. It was one of those where I decided to listen to multiple albums to get a feel of the band. That previous feel was a bit disappointed. I do have to say for my second listen of OK Computer, I enjoyed it a lot more. My new complaint with Radiohead is I feel this band has enough talent to do so much more. I enjoy OK Computer, but I feel there could be more to it. The tracks are good without fully understanding the concept, but I feel they stop short of really getting technical. And maybe that was the bands intent, I guess coming from a prog head, I want it on a grander scale! Still a good 3.5 star for me, but for this list I will give it four!

Very late 90s Forgot most of these, granted I was 3 when this came out but still

Really strong concept-like album. Radiohead is cooler than all of us.

Fucking hell this is melancholic. Very evocative album, but the singing voice irked me a bit too much to give it a perfect score. Incredibly high highs, though.

Once again it was very refreshing to hear pop rock music done in such a great experimental way. I can’t believe I never got to hear anything after their first album so getting a couple of albums on this list so far has been a bit of a revelation. I’m pretty keen to dig into the rest of their discography!

Smukt album

I think it was rầu rĩ. I was familiar with some of the songs in the album, but when listening to it as a whole, it resonated a bit more. I like "Fitter Happier" as it poses questions I'm dealing with right now.

radohead

Great but some songs are not my taste.

Bra. 3 låtar rakt in på lista :) 4/5

The critically acclaimed and beloved albums are often the most difficult to rate. The question becomes rating based on popularity or rating based on feel - like how I rate the other albums. I think I will give this one a 4. I love Exit Music. I love Let Down. So why not.

Ok Computer, what some people deem as the greatest album ever made. There is so much that has been said about this project in the nearly 30 years since its' release, all of which has aged beautifully in that time being and still holds to be a very relevant piece of media that heavily influences nearly every Alternative act today. Despite all that being said, I don't think this album is as good as a lot of people make it out to be. I think it will surprise many people but I have never been huge on a few of the tracks here, mainly Electioneering and Climbing Up the Walls but also Airbag, Paranoid Android, and Subterranean Homesick Alien. I definitely still can not understand Electioneering and Climbing Up the Walls and I would call them misses for Radiohead. The tracks at the beginning just never grab me and it is usually when Exit Music comes on when I am finally locked into this album. Speaking of Exit Music, I recently just learned that Exit Music (For a Film) was originally recorded and made for the 1996 Romeo & Juliet movie and I think the way it was able to weave itself into the tracklist is nothing short of miraculous. The rest of the tracklist really needs to sort of commentary because how can I begin to explain the greatness of tracks like Let Down, Karma Police, No Surprises, or Lucky? You just can't man. I appreciate the subtext scattered all over this album about the overtaking of technology in our lives and just how those themes are weaved in both lyrically and through the production. Ok Computer is a great album, that is undeniable, but I just don't think it is one of the greatest albums ever made. I have never seen it as such even after years of listening to Radiohead and all the other music I have digested. There are better examples of this album in so many other places and Ok Computer is just a nice meeting ground of a lot of great ideas. Fight me.

Groundbreaking. I didn’t like it when it came out but over a few listens I learned to appreciate it.

liked this more than Kid A but overall was too moody/down for me to love

Great album!

Not listened to for a long time and was great to revisit

Colossal album. If I'm knocking a point off for Prince then I'm also knocking a point off for Radiohead for Palestine.

4 four stars in a row❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️RGP you are really spoiling us…Tom.

The fact that this isn't my favourite album of theirs speaks volumes on the quality of their releases. Radiohead deserve all the praise, truly as good as they say. Not huge on every song on the album but it makes a great whole. Also get a "Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy" reference in here.

Mahtava levy

#318/1001. Finally a record whose existence in this list is not questioned, right? Although this was more or less a soundtrack of my summer -97, it turns out I had forgotten quite many of the songs in it. But then again the classics remain classics. A bit more conventional and rock'n' rolly than I remembered, I prefer the more electronic Radiohead around Kid A / Amnesiac / Hail to Thief / In Rainbows. But they don't contain masterpieces such as Paranoid Android.

Listening whilst playing as Dolny Kubin again. Radiohead isn't really my genre of music, but you can't deny that their works stand out and are special. Of course I had heard No Suprises & Let Down before, but I also found that I enjoyed Karma Police, Airbag & Lucky. I'm sure there will be another Radiohead album on this list. I'll give it a 4/5 because i probably wouldn't listen to a lot of the songs again, too angsty, but the highs are musical masterpieces.

Its a 4

Best Song: Let Down Worst Song: Fitter Happier

Like every Radiohead album after their debut, this is a very good album. For me though, it doesn't reach the heights of the albums either side of it. The Bends and Kid A are masterpieces. OK Computer is just a strong album.

Buen álbum para días grises y lluviosos

I love this album!! It is really a roller coaster, I can dance, I can cry, I can laugh!!

it was really good, but some of the songs sounded the same to me. 3 standout tracks in Karma Police, No Surprises, and The Tourist

Good album. Solid alternative rock, there's a reason it's a classic.

20 years ago this would have been a 5... The older I get the more Thom Yorke's voice annoys me.

Definitely a classic album, somehow feels both modern and older. Not something that I would have on repeat, but something I come back to now and again.

Pink Floyd of 21st century. I’m surprised how much of this reminded me of Coldplay & Arcade Fire. Always thought Radiohead would be more singular. Another example of “influential” not equating to “great”

airbag's baseline rocked Exit music (for a film) let down Karma Police electioneering climbing up the walls no surprises The tourist

Great sad boy album 👦🏼 (this emoji but sad) (this emoji looks like my bf)

instrumental sehr stark.

Pretty depressing. Great bangers

this is a such a good album going into this album i thought it was gonna be shit cause i didnt like the last one but i was so wrong this was so much better it shows a mixture of rock and calmness and my fav song out of these is no surpises so iconic and just beautiful starts off with such calming beats and slowly progresses into rock this is amzing i loved this album let down was also one of my favourites overall rating 4.6/5 best album so far

this album was very complicated. i listened to it with an open mind like jerry said and every song except the last one was good. instead of the last song being called the traitor it should be called listening to what hell sounds like for five minites straight. my favourite was the alien one and let down

A British boy once spent an hour mansplaining this album to me and it’s left a bitter taste in my mouth. I get it, it’s a car crash. Why are you still talking? Not my favorite Radiohead album but good, dreamy.

I think I stopped listening to Radiohead around this time. Up til then, my musical taste was dictated by my older brother, and this album didn’t sound enough like Creep, so I wasn’t interested. 13 year old me was wrong.

Already listened good alvum

I can hear the direct correlation between this and it's predecessor The Bends but find it doesn't stand repeated listening as it starts to sound a little earnest. Good but not great

Computer sagt: ist gut

Back to back Radiohead….interesting. Love this one too

I've never been a huge Radiohead fan because the songs are typically too sad for me. But I can't deny how listening to this whole album in one sitting made me feel. So many beautiful and emotional songs make a really powerful record.

I really liked this album! I had heard of it, but never sat down to listen to the whole thing until very recently, when I was recommended it. It was really fun to see that it was the first album on the list! I still plan to sit with the lyrics and do a listen-through like that, but I'm already planning to add it to my rotation as we head into the warmer seasons.

Granted I am a huge Radiohead fan. This is probably my 6th favourite album of theirs (mainly because of how overplayed it became). However it's still a masterpiece and Paranoid Android just may be the greatest song of all time.

found a few new ones, sad as always

luv radiohead

Det e jo fette bra, men æ kjede mæ litt.

Gran disco. Gran disco.

4 - My relationship with Radiohead is that I thought Creep was just okay and Karma Police bored me when I first saw the video. Then I would hear bits of pieces from albums like "In Rainbows" that sounded no better. At some point when you could have custom ringtones for different people, someone asked me to use "Paranoid Android" and I liked it a lot more than I expected, but I still didn't really dig further. I was just convinced that they weren't really for me.Slowly, I've heard songs in Instagram posts or musician breakdowns of particular songs that have lead me to think I need to do a deep dive. Thankfully this challenge has most of their discography, so I'll get my chance. Having listened, we're off to a good start. I liked it a good bit.

It's a really solid album but slightly over hyped in my opinion. Think my expectations were too high but I can't really fault it.

Still really good -
