The music is pretty good but the “singing” ruins it

Never suggest this again
Has aged very poorly
Good stuff
Liked it
Good
Another steely Dan record
Another British snoozer
Hasn’t aged well
Like most 90s rap, hasn’t aged well
Just don’t like him
Just not a fan
Those three chords get old
This is some dark stuff
Some 80s VH1 vibes
Underrated 90s classic
Can hear the precursor to Metallica
If you’re into electronic house music
Lively fun Latin rock and roll
African rock. Slow. Drones on
I mean it’s all right
Meh. Kinda dreamy. Kinda dull. Pass.
Zzzzzzzzzz
Dirty dirge
Mixture of uplifting and truly creepy
Instrumental Jazz
Very late 60s
Primo guitar fuzz
Steely Dan on acid
90s masterpiece
Fun album
Interesting laid back listen
I can see how they led the way for other acts but doesn’t mean I’ll ever listen to it again
Simply the best
Enjoyable 70s punk rock
It’s Clapton
Quite enjoyable. Early country rock
Very Art Brutish
Another FM masterpiece
I’m sure there’s a reason to put noise on this list but it escapes me.
These guys simply do not get enough credit. Absolutely one of the best bands of its era.
Elvis at his best
Listening to this made me irrationally angry
Of albums I’ve had zero exposure to before this list, this is one of the most original and interesting.
Not as good as Live Trough This but a good listen
Not my thing normally but I liked it
One of the best albums of all time
Just not my thing.
Pavement comparison is apt
This is an outstanding bluesy rock album. Much more than the big radio hits.
Chill mood music. No lyrics
Some really good songs on here but going w a three star because the title tracks 20 minute length dominates and confuses the entirety of the album
Disappointed to be honest
House music
Really enjoyed this
Big band music. Felt I was in a Charlie Brown special
Very strong
Uncle
I mean, whatever
One day I’ll appreciate Tom’s dying cat sound but today is not that day
I loved this
Guided by Voices had so much potential but it feels like they never quite finished anything. They have a seemingly endless amount of starts to songs but got bored and moved on before they fleshed them out.
Need to come back to this
Thank goodness Spotify only has part of the album. Every song feels like an intro to a song but then it’s the whole song
All those years I thought that voice belonged to David Crosby
Zzzzzzz
Usually not a huge folk fan but I really liked this one
I admit I only listened to three songs but only because it sounded like total garbage
List is getting pretty tedious
Revisit
Good album though not my tastes
Ugh
I’m not gonna make it through this list
The music is pretty good but the “singing” ruins it
I don’t get it
Interesting songs but not catchy songs
Every song is a loop of the first 15 seconds
Not my fav genre but reminded me of DJ Shadow. Then I realized this predates Shadow by several years and realized what a groundbreaking album this truly is.
Enough already!
“Can’t get past the flatness of the singers voice” ~Liz Phair, probably
Intrigued enough to want to try again so I’m giving a 4
Too many nick drake albums
