Truly terrible. It's like Pink Floyd meets Monty Python.

This man can't sing.
A timeless sombre soft indie collection made for miserable Scots by miserable Scots. Love it. Almost every track is a stand out including miserable secret track.
Fun, energetic and melodic punk rock.
This feels like a disgraced Tory MP is trying to reinvent himself by restarting the band from his old Uni days and is trying hard to come across as a bit "edgy" an mysterious.

Feel like I should have listened to this by now as I already knew every other track. Overall a good solid folk effort from the man.
Sombre whining with little melody. No thanks.
A bit of a grower but I'll probably never go back to it.
Classic metal album, not sure if I'd revisit. Probably only one or two songs.
Decent lo-fi punk rock with country vibes.
No.
A couple of gems buried in drivel.
Feels like a CD I should have bought in my 20s
Well mixed with some classics, not sure if listen to it all again though
Was disappointed in this one.
Meh
Nice jazz but not for me
This man can't sing.
60s Belle & Sebastian
Truly terrible. It's like Pink Floyd meets Monty Python.
Inoffensive but uninspiring
Maintaining my opinion that Ozzy was the weak link in Sabbath.
Enjoyed this more than I thought I would.
Not great but not all bad EDM. Not sure if revist. Stand out track - Lush 3-1
Disappointed in this. General upbeat light blues songs but no great discoveries.
This is like a 3.5, not quite a 4
An underappreciated classic.
Instrumentals were good, vocal tracks not so much.
Sounds like they paved the way for the strokes.
I can Almist hear the medevil garb that she's wearing.
Reminds me a lot of mother love bone. Had a few listens of this just on in the background. Think it needs a proper listen. I'll revisit it but going high and giving it a 4.
Some of the best cheesy epic rock n roll you'll ever get. "And nothing really rocks and nothing really rolls and nothings ever worth the cost" Point deducted for a few of the filler tracks.
Prog rock has its place in the world. Just not in my ears.
Melodic tunes with a rap style that's a definite product of the 90s.
Well produced but for the most part generic sounding pop. Black cat is a stand out though.
Always been an album I've loved. Stand out tracks - How to handle a rope, If only
I was looking forward to this then just a bit disappointed.
What?
Stronger in the first half bit still good overall.
It feels like an album of ambient strummy guitar "secret tracks" from 90s rock albums. Ok, not amazing
I'd revisit this
A vitriolic metal masterpiece.
I've heard this album a few times in the past. Possibly over 10 years ago. Opinion is the same. It's very niche folk, instrumentals are better than the vocal tracks and the last track Angie is an outstanding bit of acoustic guitar work but not enough to carry the whole album.
Fun, energetic and melodic punk rock.
This feels like a disgraced Tory MP is trying to reinvent himself by restarting the band from his old Uni days and is trying hard to come across as a bit "edgy" an mysterious.
Bod Dylan has a slow blues jam. I like Dylan,I think he's got a lot of good songs. I also think that the reason he's had so may hours as he's had the chance to take so many swings. It's not amazing but is decent easy blues background music. His voice feels tired on this one. Standout track - Highlands
Was expecting more from this following years of Bowie hype. 70s pop with some nice instrumental layers. All a bit too similar for me. Stand out tracks - Fame Young Americans
This album could be a 4. It's really close. The mix of 90s jangly guitars vs an overdriven wall of noise almost drowning out the soft vocals. It's just missing something, maybe diversity between the tracks. After a while it seems to bleed into a drone. Still, I've got a feeling I'll revisit this. Stan out track - loomer
Like Cheryl Crow but worse.
Funky African Jazz. Not sure I'd revisit as I don't listen to much jazz but I did enjoy this.
An atmospheric indie classic.
Thought I was going to get right into this but just kinda didn't. It's still good though.
Right on the fence here
Didn't get a proper listen to this. It sounds very 70s but still got a good feel to it. Will revisit I think.
Chilled out with a hint of the flaming lips
A good chilled out electronic pop folk album. If that's a genre? Stand out tracks - My oh My - Sail Away - This Year's Love.
Smoooooooooooooooth
Roxy music in disguise
Decent but not my kinda thing
It's like Billy Joel after a breakdown.
Stand out track - me against the world
Sounds like a smooth soundtrack to a straight to TV Christmas movie. Well produced but not for me.
Very 80s feel pop
From the limited bit if Tori Amos I'd heard I thought I was really going to enjoy this. Instead it felt more like a disappointing collection of b-sides that never made the cut for Disney movies.
Some real good songs on here but this album feels like it has been overrated and hyped over time.
A strong classic rock and blues album. I've always felt that moby dick could have been one of their best songs if they just developed it a bit more rather than a big drum solo.
Inoffensive but I didn't feel like there was much to hold my interest here.
I love this album, I've got it on a well used CD. An atmospheric masterpiece. stand out tracks - Paranoid Android Electioneering Climbing up the walls No Surprises
Not listened to it properly in ages. When it first came out I dismissed it early on as it was such a change from the first 3 albums. It kind of put me off every album after as well. Only really dipping in to the odd song on them after loving the first 3 albums. It's OK computer with light edm. Probably a 3/5 "everything in its right place" is brilliant though. Other stand out tracks -the national anthem -idioteque
A times it sounded a bit like the cure but nothing really of note
I'm not really a fan of prog rock. This is like prog pop. I'm not really a fan of that either as it goes.
This could be much better with a bit less self indulgence.
Maybe it's just because I got this early December but Ray doing his take on country just sounds like Christmas songs.
Based on the name and the Mrs Robinson cover I always assumed the lemonheads were a punk band that toned it down for the cover. Looks like they rocked it up for the cover. Been really enjoying this album. Stand out tracks - Bit part Mrs Robinson Allison's starting to happen It's a shame about Ray
PANAMA!
Nice.
Smooth and jazzy. Feels like a fancy hotel bar.
Fell like this was supposed to experimental or bad shit crazy but was really just bat shit.
Dissapointed in this. Only knew Scarborough fair and wasn't a fan but was hoping there'd be a few other gems in here as I've heard a few good Simon and Garfunkle songs over the years. The song with Dylan was the standout.
80s soft pop rock. Very soft
A couple of right catchy good tracks in here but felt a bit samey after a while.
Live plinky plonky piano.
Is revisit this. Good chilled out album with a definite 80s soft rock feel.
A good indie/brit pop effort. Stand out tracks - Sun hits the sky - Going out
50/60s style upbeat jazz. Good but felt dated
A lot more cheese than I was expecting
Fun upbeat energetic punk. Early punk Rock feel. I'd go back to this. 4/5
A timeless sombre soft indie collection made for miserable Scots by miserable Scots. Love it. Almost every track is a stand out including miserable secret track.
Enjoyed this more than I thought I would.
I enjoyed this, hadn’t heard it before but had come across a few of the songs before. A lot of covers, changed to feel and sound like he wrote them. Emotional and poignant. A bit more country than I'd normally like but still. 5/5
Definitely better on the second listen. Stand out tracks - So, Fresh, So Clean - Ms. Jackson
I’m over 200 albums in and there have only been a few that I’d revisit. This is one. Ended up playing it 4 times. A nice mix of trip hop and dance. Stand out tracks -The Rough and The Quick -Don’t Go Nowhere’s - Keeping Pigs Together - Bussing - Shellback 4/5
Sultans of Swing is an all time classic. Thought a couple of others would also stand out but not much.
Dummy is one of my all time favourite albums. Despite this I hadn’t really listened to this. It is probably suffering from huge expectations that I’m placing on it but this was a disappointment. It’s not bad but it’s not an amazing. No real stand out tracks for me.
Standout track - Darkness, Darkness
Wikipedia says this it their 15th album. Who keeps funding them?
Stand out tracks - Can It Be All So Simple - C.R.E.A.M.
More or less what you'd expect from an Elvis album. The cover of Fever is worth a listen though.
This is funky fun and uplifting. The bass throughout is so good. Stand out tracks - Good Times - My Forbidden Lover 4/5
Chilled and soulful folk sound Strand of tracks - help yourself - love & affection - Join the boys
Every now and then the generator throws up an album that you’ve never heard and is different from the others. It’s a slog, it feels like time has slowed down and makes you rethink why you even started this 1,001 album project. 1/5
Energetic but just missing something
Stand out Tracks - Human Behaviour - Crying - Violently Happy - Big time Sensuality
I only really know one Joni Mitchell song. I like it but never had the urge to dig further. This is some nive folk and I can see how it probably influenced a lot of other artists I like. The airy wavy vocals are impressive but at times a bit too much for me. I thought the start of River was a Jingle bells cover but then it was just a clever catch for a Christmas song. I like folk music and I'm a sucker for female vocalists but this was missing something or maybe had too much of something. Stand out track - Carey 3/5 middle of the road.
Stand out track - C’Est La Nuit
Poor in comparison to celebrity skin.
Meh
They've definitely got a formula for songwriting. Stand out tracks - Wake up - it's like that -hard times
Strong start with 2 of my favourite Dylan songs then tails off a bit.
Stand out track - Breakdown
An alt classic Stand out tracks - black tounge - maps - Y control - Date with the night
Mega drive music
Easy listening but probably won't revisit
Inoffensive jangly guitars. Couldn't get into the vocals
Thought I'd know more on this than I did but in saying that my Prodigy knowledge is limited to the best of. Breathe is phenomenal, always loved the opening riff. The other singles were also great. Not many new stand out tracks for me though. Funky Shit was good. Diesel power split me. Really liked the music but the vocal didn't fit. Not sure if it was a guest vocalist or something but it felt like a missed opportunity and didn't fit with the rest of the album. After a lot of lot of listens I'm going a harsh 3/5.
Experimental sounds but just can’t get into Talking Heads at all. Music or vocal styles.
Stand out track - i
Stand out Tracks - Broken English - Working Class Hero - Guilt
Disappointed in this one
CAn’t decide if this is chilled out listening or if it’s just a muffled mix where nothing really stands out.
Tried a few times, just don't get it
Not a fan of live albums on this. Lazy way to add best of collections.
Well done but not for me
Very 80s dated synth pop. Funky bass though
Better than I was expecting. More punk and rock that theatrical metal.
I still strongly feel that a live album on this list is a list way of sneaking in a best of but this has been great. 4/5
Opening track is a banger but a bit up and down after that.
I only knew the 2 big songs from this album. It's decent enough. Still with the heavy Beatles vibe. Stand out tracks - I don't wanna be a soldier mama Jealous Guy Imagine
I feel they are some sort of institution that I should like but are just a singles band to me
This isn't a soul album but this album has soul. Stand out tracks - everlasting light - next girl - howlin' for you - unknown brother
First song was a bit punk and fun, downhill after
I've a couple of these, I've from a cover done by one of my favourite bands. Decent enough 3/5, maybe a 4.
Nice voice, nice sings
Nearly gave this a 4/5 but it’s not quite there. Stand out track - Think to much (b)
Trippy funky ambient chill out. I might revisit this.
I'm not a hip hop guy but I liked this. 1st three tracks really stand out
When doves cry is a classic with an awesome intro. Outside of that not much jumped out for me. Not bad though
Slow and cheesy. Feels like a load of submissions for the pulp fiction soundtrack that never made the cut. 1/5
A bit unremarkable
I had this album when it came out and played it to death. Haven't listened to it in years and didn't have the urge to. I've really enjoyed going back though. It's well made good indie \ britpop. Stand out tracks Don't look back in anger Champagne supernova Cast not shadow
Not their greatest but a solid collection of punk rock songs.
Sabbath cover was decent.
Could have have been a 5/5 if they cut the filler down to 1 CD. Standout tracks - Mellon Collie and the infinite sadness - tonight tonight - muzzle - zero - bullet with butterfly Wings - where boys fear to tread - 1979
Could have scored higher if they cut it down to a single CD. Also, some tracks they've gone a bit too heavy with the crackling sound effect, takes away from the mix. Standout track - closer
Some really good tracks, some howlers.
I really liked the last Fiona Apple album that came up on the Generator (Tidal). Struggled to get into this one. Less musical and more rambling at a piano.
A harsh 3/5. I like jimi's blues and rock but can never get the psychedelic stuff
Proper fun and upbeat pop album
I'm not sure why I never got this album when it came out. I loved the first two. It's stands up just as well as the others, I'll definitely be revisiting this.
I always struggle with prog rock. This was no different.
An absolute classic classic rock album. Despite it dripping in arrogance you can hear why as it's so well made.
Vocals feel familiar but couldn't really get into it.
Stand out tracks - rolling with heat - the seed (2.0) - break you off
Inoffensive radio music.
Some right good songs but still just shy of a 4.
I'm not big on hip hop but this album was a jam.
A personal favourite. A grunge masterpiece full of standout tracks. Still remember getting goosebumps at a track the first time I heard the album.
Stand out track - War pigs
Self aware angst driven grunge for the mature rocker.
Don't know if it's revisit but I did quite like some of it's chaos.
Worth a revisit
Never heard of this artist and I'm not big on hip hop but this album is a really pleasant listen
Not their best but still good
A very 90s sounding light grunge feel. Never heard of them before but this isn't the worst
A good catchy 70s punk album Stand out tracks - Bored teenagers No time to be 21 Great British Mistake
The classic AC/DC formula album but this one just hits better than the others. Stand out tracks - Hell's bells Shoot to thrill Back in black You shook me all night long
A lot of filler and waffle taking a bit away from this. Stand out tracks - - Ready or Not - Fu-Gee-La - Refugee Camp Global Mix
The album that got me into Trip Hop. A sublime, complex, chilled out collection of atmospheric songs with haunting vocals Stand out tracks - Mysterons - Sour Times - Roads - Glory Box
Well done but not what I'd normally listen to. Stand outs -the chauffeur -hungry like the wolf -rio
I'm probably being a bit harsh here
Stand out tracks - Cobra Bora - Pacific 202 - Donkey doctor
Stand out tracks - Birds and Ships - Hoodoo Voodoo
Technically mad but not really my kind if rock
A new one for me but this was a good listen Stand out tracks - Freedom What's golden Thin line
Worth another visit
I'm a Primal Scream fan so this is loaded with bias. It's not their finest album but it is another excellent trippy journey. Stand out tracks - Burning Wheel - Star - Get Duffy - Kowalski - Trainspotting
Wanted to like this more Stand outs - modern love - Salisbury hill
Good, not sure if revisit. The click song is incredible. Also, Mbube
Stand out - street life
I think jazz is just wasted on me.
Fun easy going chilled out tunes
I hadn't listened to this album in years. Their later stuff out me off them a bit. It's a solid album and Shiver is an indie masterpiece. Stand out tracks - Shiver - Trouble - Yellow - Sparks - Parachutes
Thought I'd be more into this. Singer could be awesome doing some trip hop
1 and 2 were better for me. Still some great songs on here. Stand out track - Since I've been loving you
Started off strong but couldn't get into it
Good few bangers on here. Stand out tracks - block rockin' beats - dig your own hole - where do I begin - Setting sun
I'm probably being too harsh but I'll never revisit this
Almost 3 hours of mediocre songs.
I don't know loads but I feel this isn't her best. Still what a voice.
Stand out - Everyday People
Already knew "Something for the weekend" but could never really get into the Divine Comedy. Was fun to hear the Father Ted theme though.
Incredibly well mixed. Really liked the outro on the album version of Personal Jesus. let down by some weaker songs in my humble opinion.
Can music be out of focus? This just feels like a muddy Stone Roses and 'm not getting into it. Not the worst but not for me.
Prog rock nonsense
The last song, Blues man, was good. The rest not so much. Fallen Eagle felt like a Disney style country song
It's quite good but I probably wouldn't revisit. Enjoyed recognising the riff from Three Girl Rhumba the searching to see if Elastica sampled it or ripped it off. :)
I knew a few songs going into this and wasn't totally up for it but I enjoyed this more than I thought I would. This style of metal gets a bit too cheesy for me at times and the guitar shredding is technically impressive but at times loses it's sense of melody.
Upbeat punk rock. Worth another visit.
Stay with my guitar is pretty nice
Too many Neil Young vibes for me
A bit of delay and too much reverb should sound like an inexperienced guitarist messing with the settings of a new amp. However, the simple riffs, subdued vocals and laid back vibe and despite the vocals being a duet seem to capture the sound of isolation... if isolation had a sound.
A collection of pocket dials, drones and tones.
I feel I should really like T. Rex but something never fully clicks.
Thought I'd really like this
Not there best but a solid lofi/garage grunge album Stand out tracks. - Big me -Good Grief - For all the cows - Alone + east target
Could be good but sounds like it was recorded through 2 tin cans and some string
On paper I feel like I should like Jane's addiction but it turns out I just don't.
Planned, organised chaos. Stand out tracks - Hate to say I told you so - Main Offender - Supply and Demand - A.K. A. I-D-I-O-T
Definitely one to revisit. Late night quiet chilled out listening
I've always liked "in my life". Didn't get much more out this
Good voice, chilled out but didn't get into it. Stand out- Last night I had a dream
Stand out track - blister in the sun
Relationship of command was always an album I loved although Stand out tracks - - This apparatus must be removed - Inateric Esp
Chaotic indie disco punk. Stand out tracks - Deceptacon - Hot topic
Complex and aat time ethereal but just didn't really get into it as much as I thought I would
Decent enough electronica with a few good standouts. Stand out tracks - Soft Machine - Jacques Your Body - (Hey you) What's that sound?
Eccentric and all over the place, interesting listen but not for me.
Another Björk album I thought I'd be more into
I've never really got Bowie or understood the hype. I've never really been into prog rock though so makes sense I'm not into prog pop
A new one for me but enjoyable 90s alt rock. Worth a revisit. Stand out tracks - A good Idea - Helpless (although it sounds very familiar to "Runaground" by James
Pretty easy folk. Not sure I'd revisit but it is good.
A classic lo-fi sounding alt indie garage rock classic. Stand out tracks - Someday - Hard to Explain - Alone. Together - New York City Cops - Barely Legal - Soma
Much better than let England Shake. Energetic and grungy. A generous 4/5 Stand out tracks - Rid of me - 50ft Queenie
Big REM feels
This is good, nothing against Motorhead, I'm just voting low as I think Live albums are a lazy way to squeeze a "best of" into an album list.
Not bad but nothing standing out for me.
I only had 2 Manics albums but had heard this one was really good. Didn't quite hit the mark for me. I was expecting it to be similar to the others, generic sounding political indie but every now and then an awesome bit of guitar work (sleepflower/slash 'n' burn). Probably unreasonable to criticise for a lack of guitar riffage but I'm doing it sorry. Stand out tracks - - Of walking abortion - She is suffering
Outside of noticing a queens of the stone age sample this album was just not for me
I probably won't revisit this but there's definitely something good about it
I didn't know African desert blues was a thing and only got to listen to this once but I think it's definitely worth another visit.
Surprised I kinda liked this one
Nice, definitely worth a revisit. Soulful easy blues. The opening track with Santana is great
Stone big pop classics here but not really for me
It's just not for me.
Didn't think of like this so much. Alive Alone was a standout.
A bit darker than what I was expecting. Stand out track - Student Demonstration Time
I've never heard of them but I like it. Feels like it a soundtrack to an early 90s teen movie. Stand out track - Unsatisfied
I get that she's experimental and unique but I really struggle with this.
Not a country guy but this was a pleasant listen.
Only knew the big singles. Most of them are here! Surprised by this album, went in anticipating another middle of the road 3/5 but will probably revisit this.
As expected, a technically impressive performance but to be just bleeds together into a wall of bass drum and impresively fast guitar scales without melody.
The more times I listened to this the less I like it. Stopping it before it drops to a 1.
Thought I’d hate this. I’m not a pop fan but this was ok.
Smooth easy soul.
Bowie has always been more misses than hits for me. First half is stronger and some of the bass lines are awesome though. Stand out tracks - Breaking Glass Sound and vision
This is a great funk album but could be a 5/5 if they dropped some of the filler and made it shorter. Stand out tracks - Breaking the girl - Suck my kiss - I could have lied - Give it away - Under the bridge
Dark, unique, somewhat unorthodox but easy to listen to. Stand out tracks - Dirge - Soul Auctioneer - lever Street - Aisha - Aladdin's story
Another girl, Another planet was a clear standout, the rest I wasn't really into.
I remember this album from when I came out. I seem to like it less now.
Stand out track - Feeling alright
This album was everywhere. It had loads of singles. I had heard it before but never a proper listen outside of the singles. It's one of the albums that is just good and will age well (Hot Fuss, Jagged little pill, etc.). Stand out tracks - Closer - Crawl - Sex on Fire - Use Somebody - Revelry - Be Somebody - Notion
Dated but I can see why it was popular at the time.
Loveless was much better. This is a muffled din of ambient mess. I see what they were going for but it was devoid if any melody or detail make it interesting.
I was already familiar with this album. Still gave it another 4 listens. It's a funky acid jazz vibe with a bit of a big band sound to it at times. Stand out tracks - When you gonna learn? - Too young to die - Blow your mind - Emergency on planet Earth - Revolution 1993
Liked this more than I thought I would but they're still just a big singles band for me.
Love albums always feel like sneaky best of albums.
A bit samey at times but still a decent grunge album. Stand outs - rooster - them bones - would - angry chair
Bit too industrial for me
This has come up twice for me. Much better this time around. Already knew every other song but the rest are growing too.
Middle of the road and a bit too lovey dovey
Sounds like jam sessions that were polished a bit. Stand out tracks - Happy - Shine a light
A bit of James and crowded house vibes but not catchy enough
Stand out track - Big Red
I see why it was popular but it hasn't aged well.
Melodic mellow brit pop Stand out track - pull together
I'm no jazz expert so if there's going to be a wrong opinion here then this is it. This sounds like the backing music to a 1940s cartoon where half of the characters are smoking oversized cigars for no apparent reason.
tnuc elbareffusni
Stand out track - you rascal you
Nice voice but a little uneventful
First 2 tracks were stand outs and promise of something great that never fully materialised,
Distinctive voice. Middle of the road for me. Not bad but no real standouts bar the title track.
Not terrible, just not for me.
So much "jazz" it was out of tune, so much "swing" it was out of time and so much self indulgence it was obnoxious.
An atrocious assault on the ears. Imagine a scene in a room where there's a school band and they play tunelessly for a few seconds to be kind of inept but cute before getting his at the end of the movie. Well it's like that but for 40 minutes.
Chilled but nothing outstanding for me
Not sure if this is more progressive or self indulgence. Still has some great songs on it. A generous 4.
Psychedelic music is always a bit hit and miss for me but this is just crooning over jangly guitars.
