Reviews (page 6 of 15)

This is one of those revered albums that I’d only heard bits & pieces of prior to today. REALLY strong opening. There's a sense of unease and mystique all throughout given the dystopian and paranoia-fueled theme. Tracks like the multi-layered "Paranoid Android" and beautiful yet melancholic "No Surprises" warranted careful re-listens (among others). It's also interesting picking up on the many musical influences are are scattered throughout this album. I hear the Beatles, Beach Boys, even some prog rock in the song construction, despite everything not all being sunshine and roses. With "Britpop" dominating British rock at the time, I'm sure the experimental and gloomy sound of "OK Computer", along with Radiohead themselves, stood out and caught people's attention. This change in rock was definitely felt and 27+ years later, people are still talking about it. I think I understand the hype now.

Another strong point of view album with so much going on that I catch something new everytime I listen.

Don't think there is a bad song on here. I remember it being released and it just blowing my mind, such a departure from the previous two albums. Will definitely be considered an all time classic.

One of the best As a Radiohead album, this one is pretty perfect. Good vibe, great flow, great energy, great tunes, great production. It's just absolutely great. Like everything on it, it's their best album by a mile and to no ones surprise (no Surprises) im giving it a big old 5 Love it, love everything about it. Yes lad/

One of the greatest albums of all time.

What an album. I've had a couple Radiohead albums on this list, but this one is my favorite. Early in is the absolutely manic Paranoid Android, shortly followed by both Exit Music and Let Down, which are just really calm and somber tracks. Of course Karma Police and No Surprises are also here, which are still is great despite how mainstream they are. This album hits a vibe that works throughout and I really enjoyed it.

Amazing album. Love Let Dowm

loved it, what a great album! i would give it a 9/10

dreamy and subtle, still one of my favourites

Great Album (Strong 9)

It took me a while to finally "get" Radiohead. I tried many times for multiple years. Randomly one Sunday last year I thought to throw on OK Computer while I shopped at Costco and it all clicked. This album is so rad. This was their break away from the britpop scene and experimenting with more electronic sounds. It was quite a risk for them but I'm glad they did it. This is an amazing concept album with some really thought provoking lyrics and cool musical themes. This album has really held up and the production is very cool. In my opinion this might be the most 5 star album out of all the 5 star albums I've rated so far.

Super cool album! Its wild to listen and realize that it came out in 1997?! It feels so much newer, but it also feels somewhat timeless. I think that's part of the magic of this record. Or maybe its that it got ripped off a million times, and a lot of indie rock turned into artists trying to recreate this in their own image. One thing that really stands out to me is how cohesive the album is, but then how each song kind of stands on its own. Compared to Pink Floyd's The Wall, you can actually pull out songs and they're good on their own. Where The Wall per se, is really only good as a whole. I think its really impressive to make a concept album that is so tight, but each song is really its own masterpiece. It remind me almost of acts in a play where they're all good and intentional on their own, but then they build and fall as the show progresses. I've listened to this record a handful of times, starting in 8th Grade. And I never felt like I "got it." I really don't know if I've spent enough time with it yet, but I think it's a really incredible album and one that demands intentional listens.

This is my first time listening to this album all the way through. It’s really the vibe for today lol Kenny like it too

Such an easy listen, great background/ethereal type music, probably some nostalgia contributions to score

Already heard this classic a few times. Didn't enjoy it's robotic sound at first but later on I came around. Thom Yorke has always been an inspiration to me w/ how experimental and groundbreaking his art was and still is. Proving himself as remarkable and original in the eyes of many rock bands yet his reach goes beyond just this genre. You could consider Radiohead to be Art pop as well, even electronic. Kid A, In Rainbows, A Moon Shaped Pool all being even more examples of bold genre bending pieces of work. Thom has dabbled in bands like The Smile and Atoms for Peace. He's a man of many wonders to say the least and this LP right here is nothing short of wonderous capability.

Layers for daysss. This album is an absolute masterpiece. The blend of music and lyrics combined create something very special.

LOve it!

Listened to this for the first time couple months back. Easily sits comfortably in the top 5 rock albums for me.

Their second best to me, the Bends is my fave. And while their next few albums were quite good this one marks the last time writing a song was primary over the knob twiddling madness they flamed out in eventually.

Not much left to say about this one. It’s not a stretch to say this is one of the best albums in the past 30 years, if not THE best. I’m jealous of anyone here listening to it for the first time.

I’ve listened to this album 1,001 times, and I’ll listen to it 1,001 more, because each revisit is just as good, if not better, than the revisit before.

This has always, and will always be a 5 star for me. This and The Bends were peak Radiohead (along with the accompanying EPs).

One of the greatest albums ever. The continuation of Radiohead getting more and more experimental with each album, every song here is a gem in its own way. The guitar playing is seriously kick ass too. The fact they went to Kid A 3 years later, nearly completely devoid of guitars, is astounding, even moreso that it actually made them more legendary and was an arguably better album

Airbag is a great intro. Love the distorted guitar. The drum beat is awesome. Paranoid android. Great song. I love the build up, then it just slows right down. God loves his children, yeaahhhhh. Then back up it comes before an epic finale. 6+ mins is not easy to pull off but this track does it so well. Karma police? need i say more. Banging track. Has traces of the bends in it with a merging towards the next installment of radiohead. Personally, i loved climbing up the walls. The vocals, the beat, the build up. Very dark, atmospheric. The scream at the end. No surprises. Great Melody. Very catchy. Almost like a nursery rhythm. Its something you play to a child lying in their cot trying to sleep. Lucky is a stand out track on the album. For some reason, i close my eyes and imagine being shot into outer space, flying through the galaxy, when i hear that lead guitar kick in. Amazing outro to this song. Overall, this album has aged so well. Its been years since ive heard it. Every track sounds fresh as the first time i listened to it. The lyrics on this album are immense. Ive always been torn with OK computer. Yes its a great album. Is this the best ever like many say? For me its not, but its definitely up there with the best. Iconic album. So many great tracks. Fantastic layering and engineering. Rating 5/5.

This one is it

From the atmospheric start to the gloomy doublet at the end this album is fantastic through and through. There’s very much a feel of two short albums back to back here with side A ending with Karma Police and side B kicking off with Fitter Happier but if anything it adds to the charm.

An incredible musical journey. The album extracted rock based music from the listless grunge based rock of the 90’d. The songs are shocking and beautiful to me. Emotionally raw, smart and musically sensual.

Such a timeless album. I listened to it straight through sober and high. Each experience had it’s moments. The instrumentals have a flow that is clearly inspired from 70’s prog rock but nothing on this album leaves you bored. This is one of the few 90’s albums that I genuinely think will stand the test of time. 5 stars for relistenabilitity, album concept/flow, impact on music at the time

Earlier on in this project, I mentioned that I wouldn’t be revisiting Radiohead after being underwhelmed by “Hail To The Thief”. However, I am at the mercy of the random album generator in this regard, and was tasked with “OK Computer” today to my dread. This is the first foray into this band that I actually thoroughly enjoyed. Early on in the album, I was ready to write this listen off as halfway through “Paranoid Android” it seemed like they were building up to a flourish that would never come. But when the heavier riffs kicked in, I was blown away. This song and “Electioneering” later on the track list both showed me Radiohead’s rock prowess in a way no other song I’d heard from them did (“Creep” notwithstanding). Then further along tracks like “Let Down”, Karma Police”, and “ No Surprises” gave me vibes of both Nirvana and Muse, bands of vastly different eras and sounds that I enjoy greatly, and this was no exception. 9/10

Seminal work 4.7

No Airbag will prepare you for this, little Paranoid Android, even if you listen everyday to the Subterranean Homesick Alien or you have passed through the sound of a Exit Music (For a Film); well, you ain´t prepared: Let Down your guard and fall before the Karma Police of albums, the one that will make you feel Fitter Happier until you start to study the Electioneering of the songs and you end up Climbing Up the Walls because -No Surprises- it´s impossible to match. You are Lucky to live in a world where Ok Computer exists. The Tourist in you that want to know more and more can rest in peace.

My favorite album. Every listen is a gift. The layers, subtleties and complexity of the composition perfectly show the distress caused by the aspirational life it's imposed to us. If punk was a protest against the system from outside of it because of lack of basic needs and expression... This album alone is a protest against the system from the inside because of comfort overdose. Brilliant from the first car sounding riff in Airbag to the final bell in The Tourist. Every song is an impossible standard for any other 90's band, and it's mind-blowing how my brain keeps discovering things with every listen.

I liked this album back in the day. Hadn’t heard it for awhile. I love it even more. Great album start to finish. The moods sweep from gentle and delicate to storming rage but always through this meloncholoy dreaminess. Phenomenal guitaring on paranoid Android.

This album is so famous and highly regarded because it really just is that awesome. Beautiful lyrics, unique and creative musical compositions, everything just works pretty perfectly together. Every song on this is great.

Es uno de los abumes mas importantes e influyentes d la historia aparte de un clasico no se le puede dar menos d 5 aparte unos temas tiene nono mas alla d los gordos fancitos d radiohead sacando todo eso albumazo

Generally agreed as the best album ever made and I find it hard to disagree

Good Album, good songs

This is probably one of my most listened to albums and I was kind of dreading giving it a listen with wisened ears, but am delighted to see I wasn’t totally wrong about everything at the turn of the century. It’s an emotional and musical masterpiece.

Some albums deserve all the recognition they get and this is one of them. Too many top tier tracks to name, even Fitter Happier is class. Easy 5/5.

First Radiohead album I ever really paid attention to. I was way more into Kid A when it came out, but OK Computer just continues to get better and better in my ears.

Only one score allowed.

Not my favorite album of theirs but still worthy of 5 stars!

Amazing

Not just a classic, but a true masterpiece. I've known and loved this record ever since I was fascinated with the "Paranoid Android" music video as a teenager when it came out. I keep coming back over the years and with pretty much every run I feel like I am discovering more aspects, sinking in deeper and understanding it more. Great art.

Sometimes I think that OK Computer deserves the more recognition than Nevermind in terms of their artistic quality (though Nevermind is way more iconic given its own historical impact). Radiohead's own masterpiece.

Really great album, sort of glad I’ve only listened to it after getting treatment for depression because I would have been insufferable with this, just a constant rotation in my room.

Not much to say here. Beautiful album by one of my favorite bands.

For Karma police

Radiohead is my favorite band. Easy 5 all day long. probably the most influential album of my lifetime.

Absolute classic. Listened to this CD so many times when it came out. And occasionally since then. It’s so coherent, a bit abrasive, but just so good.

Alternative/art rock. I'm not gonna waste time talking about this album. I have nothing to add that hasn't been said by someone else. It's amazing from start to finish, perfect flow, perfect length, blah blah blah. I used to not really be into it too much but I'm really getting it now. Perfect album. Will revisit of course. 5/5

Incredible

One of the best albums of the late 90's!

Album rules

Like much of 90s/00s rock, I have no idea what they are singing without looking up the lyrics. Never really listened to Radiohead much during that era unless they were on the radio. My ~nostalgia~ bias. 📻💾💽📼

I don't know where to start or end, but this is one of my favorite albums of all time. Every song is great, even "Fitter Happier" which I think about every time I go in to the office. This was the last album they did that was almost entirely pure rock music and while I enjoy their later stuff, this was the peak of Radiohead. I wont hold the fact that they're English against them.

sound really did peak here. have and always will be ahead of any and every timeframe

Yep this might just be the greatest of all time. Every track makes you feel something, and on top of that it's also just incredible music. 5/5

A Airbag 4 Paranoid Android 5 Subterranean Homesick Alien 4 Exit Music (For A Film) 5 Let Down 4 Karma Police 5 Fitter Happier 3 Electioneering 4 Climbing Up The Walls 4 No Surprises 4 Lucky 5 The Tourist 5 Fitter Happier f***ing hits.

Back in high school when this came out all the stoners were going nuts, especially over the secret hidden booklet in the cd case. It wasnt until college (when I started smoking copious amounts of ganga) that I realized how f-ing good this band is. Thom Yorke rivals David Byrne with his eerieness. The music is layered with electronica, acoustics, robots, and space. I just love it. Of my collection, this is one of the top spun. I have spent many a late night with a nice bourbon sipper, relaxing in the dark, letting OKC melt my brain. Must listen, must for the list and there are more to come from RH.

save the worthless words drifting out your mouth take the lonely sun youve been singing about lakes of shadows silhouettes drown you under the clouds left to ponder mistakes and whereabouts fake your image in the mirror sleeping wake up to the sound of nightmares leaking make the best of time thats quietly thinning crave the dreams above the walls of living ngl this is kind of amazing

Impecable y deprimente

Love this album, been a minute since I've listened to it. Thom Yorke's voice is one of a kind

I like Radiohead but I never come back to this one. Can’t argue that it’s a 5 though.

Easiest 5 so far. Incredible front to back. The way each track builds up and has a breakdown near the end of each track makes each song so intriguing to listen to. So so so so good. Favorite songs: Paranoid Android, No Surprises, Climbing Up The Walls, Exit Music (For a Film).

no caption needed

This is a wonderful album all around. Still like Kid A better, but not by leaps and bounds. Lovely songs, great guitar work by Greenwood, vocals and lyrics understandable throughout. Their most “normal” album?

I remember exactly where I was when I first heard "Karma Police" and if I had sixty seconds to compile top 10 songs of the 90s, it might be #1. The whole album shakes me to the core in a way that few do. It made me feel less alone in my head, which is about the highest praise I can give something, now that I think about it.

My grand return for this absolutely masterpiece of an album! Had to make sure I came back so I could rate this a 5/5.

Absolutely stroke of brilliancy. One of my favourite albums of all time. Subterranean Homesick Alien lives rent free in my head until I die.

# Playlist track - Electioneering # Notes - One of those albums that has influenced so many bands that it's hard to imagine how it was hearing it back then. +2 stars - "Filter Happier" is a bit of a downer in the middle of the album. -1 star. - Riffs for "Electioneering" are just plain fantastic + 2 stars. - "No Surprises" is a masterpiece, and the music video that goes along with it too. +1 star

Ah yes, the best album ever according to RYM (outdated info, To Pimp a Butterfly has overtaken it, apparently) and some other sources. It's not near the top here (number 19 rn), which is fine, I guess the users here prefer the boomer stuff. I was never convinced this was the best album ever. That being said, it's very close to perfect and it might not even be Radiohead's best. It has some of the most legendary songs of all time. I tried listing top 5 tracks for this album, but it's kinda impossible. Airbag and Let Down are a lock, Paranoid Android, Lucky, Tourist, Climbing Up a Walls, Subterranean Homesick Alien are all in serious contention. I'm a pretentious idiot who doesn't like Karma Police and (especially) No Surprises that much. It's tough to say anything new and meaningful about one of the most celebrated albums of all time which has wonderfully withstood the test of time.

Woweeeee

OK Computer Sweet sweet memories. Fountains Hall. Mmmm. Despite Radiohead being one of my favourite bands I don’t revisit this all that often. I absolutely love their albums from Kid A onwards, and if I fancy a bit of Radiohead I tend to gravitate to A Moon Shaped Pool, Kid A, In Rainbows or King of Limbs. Those then often lead me on to The Eraser and the Atoms for Peace album. And then there’s The Smile, I love both their albums. That’s not to denigrate this album at all, as it is, of course, absolutely superb, without a weak track or moment. It’s undoubtedly a classic, and listening today makes me think I really should listen to it more often. When it came out, it felt like a real leap forward from The Bends (which is also obviously a huge step forward from Pablo Honey), taking that also brilliant album and building out into more experimental and atmospheric sounds and songwriting. Looking at it now in the wider context of their discography, it also signposted where they were going to go next, with a sense that they had exhausted their interest in the guitar being what the band and songs were based around. Things like Exit Music (For a Film) and Climbing up the Walls, although they have relatively standard instruementation, they have a rhythmic and atmospheric quality that wouldn’t be out of place on Kid A or Amnesiac. Fitter Happier also and The Tourist. There’s not much point going through song by song, as they are all without exception great, but my highlights are Airbag with its brilliant awkward riff, Let Down with it’s lovely poppy melody, Paranoid Android because its just fucking great. Electioneering and No Surprises also. In fact give me any of these songs. Love em all. It’s as easy a 5 as Rubber Soul. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This album is a God damn master piece 3000/10. Literally one of my favourite albums ever. By my favourite band ever. This album holds so much memories and the themes are so cool too. Very fitting for today's day. Beautifully written and produced and the lyrics are very interesting (I've listened to this album many times as well as all the songs individually) absolutely gorgeous. Fitter Happier is so cool as an interlude. The instruments used are so so cool and different.

4/24/24. Not sure I can leave a fair review because of the number of times I've listened to this, absolute masterpiece by Radiohead. I personally think it is their best, but a couple other of their albums are right there with this one. Love the up and down nature, melancholy, and the production.

amazing

Still captures the dawn-of-internet era sentiment like no other. In my personal top 5 and one of the greatest albums ever recorded, full stop.

Ein Album, mit dem ich früher nichts anfangen konnte und jetzt liebe.

It's OK Computer so no point in trying to think of something novel to write. Except that most of the album was recorded live with minimal separation of audio tracks. What the fuck, how do you that and end up with this?

I can’t possibly add anything to the legacy of OK Computer that hasn’t already been said. It’s often called the greatest album of all time for a reason. So I’ll just leave you with this. This review that is.

It’s rare I love an album start to finish. Radiohead always bucks the trend for me. Emotionally evocative, beautiful.

Environment: Cleaning up the house Mood: True Neutral This is a life long foundational album for me. Tough to be impartial cause I've loved it since I was in 4th grade. Its still one of my favorites. I could do without Fitter Happier in my life, but I can always skip it. Let Down is the only other track I don't really like, but everything else is between a 8/10 and 10/10. My favorite remains Climbing Up The Walls. Album Cover: A-

Perfect

The album that made me go back and listen to their previous albums. Love them.

Perfect

This is a classic for a reason.

One of my favorite albums from when I was younger.

Amazing

The quintessential Radiohead album for me. The one where they finally found the root of their sound and you knew things were gonna get weird and wonderful (and they absolutely would with Kid A and Amnesiac to follow.) Just brilliant songwriting in a soundscape that felt new and exciting for the time. Meticulously crafted and layered to perfection. If you think this album is overrated, you're either lying or have had a lobotomy. Standout Tracks: Paranoid Android, Exit Music (For a Film), Karma Police, No Surprises

Happiest album I've ever heard.

Ehterreal, haunting, classic Radiohead

OK Computer is probably one of my first "big" albums that I can remember listening and I'm not surprised that ever since then, I've held an insane amount of respect for this band. Each track fits in amazingly and I love its slow shift in tone. Personally, I love Let Down and the transition from Fitter Happier into Electioneering, the cold ambient tone of Fitter Happier into the more raucous Electioneering just clicks so well with me, I love it.

I remember listening to this on repeat on my first ever flight to the US on my discman. Been a firm favorite ever since. Only just edged out by Kid A IMO, but an absolute classic.

Classic for a reason. Radiohead spent 8-9 years practicing with a stupid name ('On a Friday') before sorting themselves out and releasing 'Pablo Honey', containing what would eventually become an annoying hit with 'Creep'. Not a great song but funded them. And then they got good. The Bends is a great album, much better than Pablo Honey. OK Computer - better again, and a lot more experimental than The Bends. The could have just churned out some grunge tinged indie and made bank, but instead they put their heads down, got the fancy computers out and produced this masterpiece.

Some absolute bangers on this album!

Omfg hvað þetta er fullkomið albúm. Top 3 allra tíma.

Þetta er alveg ótrúleg plata sem verður bara betri með árunum. Kannski bara besta plata allra tíma. Maður hlustar á eitt lag og hugsar vá hvað þetta er gott, en þá kemur bara annað ennþá betra lag næst. Ekki einn veikur hlekkur. 10/5

Phenomenal album, musically sophisticated, spooky, cold and oddly uplifting. As good now as when I first heard it at 16 sat on a school coach with my CD Walkman. The Tourist is a highlight.

Street Spirit Paranoid Android Subterranean Homesick Alien

My generation’s ’Dark Side of the Moon’ The most complete album of the era. Two self standing hit singles, a film soundtrack song, experimental noises and soundscapes and really no filler. Rock steady performance from the band, explosive guitar insanity from Johnny and you can still hear what Thom is whining on about (actually his vocals are quite impressive in places). A whole mini industry has appeared online analysing this album, its themes, musical complexity and originality there’s just so much to get your teeth into. Also this is the final wave from the band as they for better or worse turned in on themselves and became the Radiohead we know and are faintly interested in today. Top ten of all time in my lifetime.

01) Airbag - 9,0 02) Paranoid Android - 10,0 03) Subterranean Homesick Alien - 9,5 04) Exit Music (For a Film) - 10,0 05) Let Down - 10,0 06) Karma Police - 10,0 07) Fitter Happier - 9,0 08) Electioneering - 9,5 09) Climbing Up the Walls - 9,5 10) No Surprises - 10,0 11) Lucky - 10,0 12) The Tourist - 9,5 TOTAL: 9,67 (97/100) This one was huge back in the day. I loved it! I had some version of it taped on my cassette, missing a few songs. Ah, you have to love the nineties. "Karma Police" (love that ending), "Let Down" (what a great f***ing song!), "No Surprises" (my favorite back then, and I think it still is), "Lucky", "Paranoid Android", "Exit Music"... Fantastic songs and a fantastic album!

Don’t like all their stuff fut this album is great! Tell me different and we be duking.

What a great album. Not sure if this or the Bends is my favourite, but they're both awesome.

i was prepared to act too cool for school and give this 4/5 but i sat down and listened to it straight through for the first time in probably at least a decade and it is flawless. there is nothing negative to say about anything here, it is one of the best records of all time. in fact, it has probably actually gotten better with time as the lyrical themes all hit precisely the right notes for a dying capitalist society. in 1997, far fewer people saw this coming than the amount which now realize what we're in. a pig in a cage on antibiotics indeed.

It's OK Computer, I'm basically obligated to give it a 5.

OK Computer is so good that the steaming pile of dog shit known as Kid A made the list solely off proximity to this album.

Amazing

Needs multiple listenings, but amazingly depressing album...

A nearly perfect album.

i could go on and on about this album. i really like it. paranoid android was my #1 most streamed song of 2023

"Borderline experimental" - Jay Baumann

If computers had feelings then they would cry to this

Fuck yeah. I'm a white, middle-class older millennial. You know this is my jam.

the most terrifying album of 1997.

banger

Who doesn't love Radiohead? Nobody, that's who.

I'm a big Radiohead fan and I think OK Computer is their best album. No wonder why it's considered to be one of the best albums of all time. I wasn't impressed when I first listened to it but it actually grew on me. A definite 5 stars from me.

top 5/5. Me dá uma mistura de melancolia, com esperança

I am incredibly bias, but this album is W after W. Not a singular flop

3-1-2024 Started in the morning. I want to be more focused when I listen to this. I think it will be like Twister by Remy Zero. I'll have to work at it but once I understand the lyrics, I expect to like it very much. Planning to listen to TBG tonight. Couldn't get in the right mindset last night. This will be an ongoing listen. Added to downloads. A few listens later, I really like tracks 2 and 3. It seems like something always interrupts me during Karma Police..

Really good album

I loved this album when it came out but haven't been too keen on Radiohead in the last couple of decades - the singing style gets a bit much after a while. However, this album is an absolute masterpiece and as relevant today as it was then (if not more so). Listens: 2 Fave Track: Paranoid Android (this hasn't changed) Rating: 5

Awesome

One of the best albums ever made. Seriously.

“Fitter, healthier and more productive A pig In a cage On antibiotics” -Fitter Happier When this album came out in 1997 it was largely a contemplation on the alienation throughout society caused by rampant technology, consumerism, and greed. The music and production perfectly combined with Thom Yorke’s lyrics and vocal delivery to echo the band’s disaffection with modern society. Now, OK Computer sounds like what somebody in 1997 thought the future would be like. Unfortunately it also sounds like exactly what 2024 is like. “Riot shields Voodoo economics It's life, it's life It's just business Cattle prods and the I.M.F. I trust I can rely on your vote” -Electioneering

Radiohead

10/10, a masterpiece.

Classic

For OK Computer, I may need 6 stars. In fact, putting this as *merely* 5 stars makes me start sweating a bit about my other 4 and 5 star picks. Because this is one of the best things. There are very few albums which give you the exhilaration of a movie when you’re finished with it. You know that feeling, leaving a really concept-heavy, head-spinning movie where you're just lost in this delirium, exiting the theater. Processing. So few albums do this. This album does that. Concept-wise, record-wise, it's shooting for the freaking moon. It makes every album feel like they're just shooting for the distant hills. I cannot stress how much effort it sounds like they put into making this album. Everything just feels in the right place, perfectly placed. That's no doubt due to the literal years of band rehearsals that lead to these recordings. Radiohead rehearses. They also fucking commit to their songs. Nothing sounds unsure. Everything so confidently delivered, doubtlessly honed through years of attempts on the same thing. Thom Yorke writes lyrics, and Radiohead writes songs, that are good for them. They are not universal, they are heavily wired into the internal logic of Radiohead, to understand them requires the context of their other music sometimes. Their music is not immediate. But the stakes here feel so *personal.* The band sounds genuinely disturbed at the prospect of our Brave New World. Their warnings are not dispassionately given, nor are they preachy. We're always viewing this future through the eyes of what seems like a terrified victim of its uncaring superstructure. It's personal. I think this album genuinely goes to somewhere new. Somehow a thesis that's never preachy, a perfect set of recordings that are never sterile, never forced, always room for the magic of happy accidents. This is one hill I'll die on, this is a damn good record. 5/5

What an incredible listening experience! I had a smile on my face throughout the whole album. The sound of it made me fall right into the music, it made me calm and everything else besides listening felt so unimportant. Ever song starts a little weird, you don't know which direction it's gonna take which makes it interesting. And somehow, every song turns out to be amazing.

Fanastic! Pulled me into Radiohead after my first listen, 10 years after release. Excellent top to bottom~ true classic

Excellent from start to finish. A masterpiece of emo music.

The best

I really enjoyed listening through this album. Every song is iconic and dives into purpose and melancholy sound. Drove a turning point in late 90's British music

Favourite album of all time

Definitely a bit of a groundbreaking album, that goes without saying. The antithesis to the Britpop movement is rife with mournful vocals heavily influenced by shoegaze-esque guitar walls and glitchy feedback combined with an alternative art rock feel that is spacy, distant, and disconnected yet still big and in your face.

Still holds up as one of the best albums from the 1990's and could one of the best ever. Radiohead doesn't miss a beat in the album and everything fits perfectly. Worthy of it status.

Zach is wrong...

There are two Radiohead albums that will get a 5 from me, and this is one of them. "Climbing Up the Walls" is eternal. Everything else that can be said about OK Computer has already been said.

Need a sixth star

I get more from this album every time I listen to it. I normally do not gravitate towards this type of music but it is so good. Captivating story and sound.

Absolutely one of my favs

Legendary album and even after 27 (!) years this sounds fresh and modern

Outstanding album. What an album is supposed to be. The whole is greater than the sum of its parts.

depressing. beautifully depressing.

One of the best albums of the '90s.

Good vibes

Perfect album

Certainly Radiohead’s high point, certainly one of the best of all time. A sprawling prog rock epic masquerading as an indie album. Moments of the sublime. When Radiohead still liked to write songs they created a classic.

Great Albm, but not Radioheads best

Loved this

The easiest 5 I’ve ever given, no surprises there

incredible

Aw hell yeah. This is one of the GOATs. 5/5

Excellent and genius through and through.

Those album is epic

Well yeah this was / is massive. Groundbreaking album. The subject matter, the instrumentation, the lyrics, the vocals... the guitar work! The dynamics of Exit, the leads on Lucky, and Subterranean Homesick Alien. It's a mix of alt, psyche, electronica. It's cliche, but goddamn if this isn't a phenomenal record. I like less mainstream stuff too, but I'm no naysayer.

Widely considered the best album of all time, and still under-rated! Easily the best album of my lifetime, very little else even comes close. Perfection

Very good start. Obviously one of the best albums of all time.

Yes. Gimme all of that you got.

Fucking banger

Falls on that short list of perfect albums. It’s tattooed on my psyche. Ancestry.com lists me as 2% ok computer.

the best album I’ve ever heard tbh, rlly opened up my understanding of music and will always have a place in my heart thanks thom

Listened to this while playing ISS Vanguard. This was one of those albums that I first heard my Freshman year of college. I remember the first time I heard Paranoid Android, I listened to it 2 more times immediately after. I even went on to write a piano composition years later called Paranoid Alvinroid. It was the answer to the question nobody has ever asked: "what if contemporary composer Alvin Curran was a member of Radiohead?"

You know, it's been a while since I've gotten an album that many consider to be one of the greatest albums of all time. I've gotten quite a few albums that have been highly praised, but not many, if any at all, of the albums I've listened to so far have been consistently put on a pedestal as high as that of OK Computer. This is one of those albums that people praise like its their god or something. But does OK Computer deserve this praise? Yeah. It totally does. This thing is, to put it simply, a masterpiece. The sound was groundbreaking for the time. To get British rock of a more somber nature like this in comparison to the dominating Britpop scene of the 90s was something that would forever change popular music. I really like the sound. It has this aura to it that is very hard to explain, but it just keeps you hooked the whole time. Thom Yorke's singing is certainly interesting. It gives everything this sense of emotion that is hard to replicate. The writing is very well done, with overarching themes enhancing the full album experience. One thing that I really didn't expect was that this album has a "weird song" that actually works for me. There are some very good albums out there that happen to have a "weird song" that does kind of drag down the experience just a tiny bit or even more in some cases. For instance, I really liked The Velvet Underground's self-titled album, but felt that the penultimate track, "The Murder Mystery", was a bit too unpleasant to listen to and it kind of dragged the experience just a tiny bit. OK Computer also has a weird track with "Fitter Happier". But for whatever reason, that track works in a full album setting. While I wouldn't want to listen to it on its own, the track does add something of value to the experience of listening to the whole album, which is something that I really have to commend. The other tracks are also quite great. I like how the sound can go from being fairly whimsical in a song like "Subterranean Homesick Alien" to being very somber and emotional in songs like "Exit Music (For a Film)". It ensures that the album doesn't get repetitive or boring. Overall, there's a reason why many people consider OK Computer to be one of the greatest, if not the greatest, albums ever made. While there a few albums that I might like more, I can absolutely see why so many people consider this to be the best of the best. 5/5.

I think this album is brilliant. I love listening to the whole thing. It's ear candy 100%. Can't wait to listen to this again.

Didn't listen to it this time. But what else can you say about this masterpiece

Poppy dissonance. The satisfying awareness of everything that’s “off” about modern life. Unusual rhythm, whining vocals, wandering melodies. Feels like stumbling through a dream world, and it just makes sense.

When I started really getting into music, I knew I had to listen to this one. Some of my favorite artists like Muse were heavily inspired by Radiohead’s sound, and this was lauded by many as the greatest album of all time. On first listen, I certainly didn’t think so. I’ve always enjoyed “Karma Police”, but for some reason it took me 5+ listens for Radiohead to really click with me. Now they’re one of my favorite bands and OK Computer has been in my top 100 albums of all time for a while (including a brief stint at #2 and a long stint between 5-10). Every song on this album (with one exception) is perfect in its own way. And while there’s a lot of different stuff going on and a lot of variety, the songs all come together to form something amazing. Perhaps something that’s surprised me the most about this album is that while it feels a lot like a product of its times, after 25+ years, it’s still just as incredible to listen to. That’s not something I’d say about Nevermind by Nirvana, which sounds dated despite Nirvana putting their finger on the cultural pulse at the time. “Fitter Happier” is an abomination though. I think I sort of understand what Thom Yorke was going for in writing and including this song, it’s interestingly experimental (spoken by “Fred”, an ancestor to Apple’s Siri) and playfully juxtaposes the hypocrisy of a computer telling us the best way to live a meaningful human lifestyle. But the song just really sucks, it totally breaks up the flow of the album. The rest of the album is so good though that even this can’t bring down the perfect rating.

Fucking masterpiece!

This was one album I didn't need to listen to, been playing it for like 25 years now. Absolute classic. Strong chance of being the best album on this list

I don't really have anything insightful to say about OK Computer. It's Ok Computer and it's really good.

- OK Computer pops up on screen- I’ve heard good things about this album, it’s my first time listening as well, let’s see if they’re right! 54 Minutes Later: … holy shit.

Radiohead, have you ever tried just NOT being depressed? -_- This self-professed Radiohead fan has never listened to this properly all the way through. Granted, I’ve most likely heard every song at least once, but in the iTunes days the songs would just come up on shuffle. Consequentially, I enjoy songs like “No Surprises” and “Paranoid Android” without appreciating where they fit into the album. Well. It’s good. It’s very good. “Airbag” and “The Tourist” are great bookends; the former’s anxious, cut-up drums contrast with the serenity of the latter. The contrast in mood between songs is also quite interesting. The rollicking “Electioneering” gives way to the eerie “Climbing Up the Walls”. “Alien” ends on what seems like an optimistic note, then the devastating “Exit Music” immediately follows it. HL: "Paranoid Android”, "Subterranean Homesick Alien", "Exit Music (For a Film)"* "Let Down", “Climbing Up the Walls”, "No Surprises", “The Tourist” January 19, 2024

All radio no head🙁

The shift change in the Radiohead sound from The Bends, which was in itself pretty good, was a bold and ultimately triumphant move which resulted in a classic album. The atmosphere and mood of paranoia and encroaching gloom was palpable yet these songs were also memorable and catchy. No duff tracks (maybe electioneering?) and a work of art for the ages.

This might be the last rock album that was actually an advancement of the art. One of the best albums of all time.

Love this album and band!!!! Let down is phenomenal and I love that the story loops.

I’m not going to say anything new about this album. If you don’t like whiny voices you’re going to bounce off of this really quickly. But for me it hits right to my core. Coupled with the production and orchestrations this becomes one of my favorite albums. 5/5

listened to again top 10 album for me

It seems strange that Radiohead would take up 2 spots on my Top 15 favorite albums of all time, but it's true. While not as guitar-centric as their last release, "The Bends," is just as brilliant, just in a different way. I was late to the game when this album first hit stores. Back then I didn't get it or the band. However, when you end up having it on repeat driving to and from work every day soon after moving over half way across the country, it quickly became the soundtrack to my life late in 1999 into 2000. It was, and still is, completely absorbing. It's weird to say, but I can't imagine my life without this album.

Honestly, great album.

I love OK Computer probably the peak of Radiohead's career, every song is amazing and gives me a lot of 90s nostalgia!

Absolutely brilliant.

One of the greatest albums of all time. Needs no explanation.

A perfect album.

stroking my shit rn. 4.5/5

Classic.

Hauntingly beautiful. No one particular song stands out to me, but the album is full of intricate songs that demand attention and catchy, repeated anthems.

it simply IS that good unfortunately

I remember exactly where I was the first time I heard this album. A Thursday night, probably in July of 1997 at the Poet and Patriot Irish pub in Santa Cruz, California. Since that first listening I've probably heard this album a couple hundred times. So many times that I now consider it to be overplayed for my own liking. I have zero criticisms of these songs. Top notch creativity. 5 stars all the way. (Also, I had never even heard of Radiohead before this album.)

Zurecht ein Klassiker!

own it on vinyl

My generation's dark side of the moon

One of my favorite albums of all time, so much so that I just played the OKNotOK album instead. Airbag hits deep with emotion, you just know the song is truly about a second chance at life.

Easiest 5 I'll put on this. I've lost track of the number of times i've listened to this in full over the years. However, to me Kid A will always be closer to my heart. Dense and brilliant songwriting with production to match. One of the best ever.

Love this album

The album definitely deserves the applause it often receives. Drags a little at the end but for an album that comes up to the hour mark in running time, it feels like you breeze through it. Paranoid Android is a masterpiece and I was surprised at how enjoyable Electioneering was with its REM tinged jangly rock.

One of my favourite albums anyway, really unique songs and great at sticking to the overall themes. Not any particularly weak songs, don't know how more to say why I like this album so much, just really good listen start to finish. 10/10

Now this is the Radiohead I know! Great Album!

My first generated album after joining site. Album well known to me in my collection and personal top 10

Not my number one favpurite alhim though i do love it so so much. Very smooth sounding to me and idk what rlse tp say i just loved it so much 5/5

I don't understand why I ever stopped listening to Radiohead. This is brilliant. Peak melancholy.

Awesome

<insert overlong and pretentious review here>

this is another one that i wore out my speakers on when it came out. complex layering of sounds, vocals… and so different from their earlier albums (i’m pretty sure on purpose). love it

My first perfect score. The emotional attachment I have towards this album always meant that marking it down was very unlikely. It was the first album I bought on release, and was the defining album of my defining teenage friendship. But even disregarding that, I honestly believe that it warrants a perfect score on the strength of the music alone. Airbag is a perfect starter (that cry of 'I'm back to save the universe' still sends shivers down my spine). Paranoid Android is Bohemian Rhapsody for people who hate Queen. Subterrainian Homesick Alien is a lovely palette cleanser. Exit Music is a virtuoso vocal performance. Let Down is probably the best song ever, and the moment at 3 minutes 42 seconds when the vocal comes back in is maybe the pinnacle of music. Karma Police somehow descends into pure festival singalong by the end. Fitter Happier is way better than it has any right to be. Electioneering is (a) brilliant and (b) full of genuinely funny lyrics. Climbing Up the Walls is...sexy? No Surprises still makes me well up. Lucky is a song to sing loudly in the car. The Tourist is the song that I've imagined using in a film score more than any other. All told, not bad.

quality on top of quality from start to finish, this is one of the best albums of the 90s. highlights: “paranoid android”, “karma police”, “electioneering”, “no surprises”…

If you don't like this album, you probably didn't have very good SAT scores. Science says so.

Great album. Will listen to it again

Albert's story way cooler and genuine! No comment

Anxiety Prince Thom. Always so unexpected, a little dark but so listenable all the way through. Brilliant! So beautifully written. I love how many of the songs ebb and flow. Great running music

Peak 90s alternative. Big Radiohead fan since high school and this one hasn’t lost anything for me over the years. Every second choreographed into perfect succession. One of the greatest albums of all time.

What is there to say

Each song is a self-contained story, and at the same time they all work extremely well in sequence and thematically. Coming from 1997, this album feels eerily prophetic in 2023.

Estaba muy en el mood para este disco. Me gusto todo! Bo tengo quejas 10/10

Love this album. I've listened to it countless times. One of my favorite bands of all time.

Obviously 5/5

I am listening to this album for 1001 albums even though it is one of my favourite albums and I know it like the back of my hand. I know it so well, in fact, that I am particularly looking forward to the "album tracks" rather than the "hits". I was thinking about this - saying you like the album tracks - it seems like a bit of a pose, or hipster move, but I think it's just when you are so familiar with certain albums that you move beyond what attracted you in the first place and start appreciating the smaller things. Anyway, the tracks I really look forward to on this album are "Let Down" which manages to be beautiful and feels upbeat and optimistic as well as down and depressing at the same time - it's fascinating, I don't know how it does it - and "Lucky" / "The Tourist" which sort of feels like one closing song to me. I remember putting "Let Down" on at a gathering once and Tom saying "What? This isn't party music!" Retrospectively, I would argue that the happiness/miserableness of the song means it *is* party music and simultaneously *isn't* party music at the same time. It's Schrodinger's Party Music - you don't know what mood sets until it's out of the box. I don't think any of this was on my mind at the time though! As well as the album tracks being great, the B-sides from the singles are great too. Radiohead are well known for having excellent unused songs and B-sides. If you liked this I recommend the deluxe reissue "OK Computer OKNOTOK 1997 2017" for "Palo Alto" (which I first heard in the background of a Radiohead Tour Documentary and had to track down.) and "Polyethylene Parts 1and 2"which I remember Jo Wiley playing on Radio One and her describing the voice saying "go!" at the start as "sounding like Frank Sidebottom". Is this their greatest album? It was the one that introduced me to the band and I subsequently came to love all this stuff. So, I guess it was the most popular and the sort of the point where they reached the greatest *musically-accessible* version of what they are, before going off into less popular experimentation with Kid A etc. Is this my favourite Radiohead album? Well, I think Kid A might be my favourite due to the aforementioned experimental sounds, and "In Rainbows", and their latest "Moon Shaped Pool" also have a shot at it. I also love the previous albums. "The Bends" is great (though I specifically like a B-side remix. "Planet Telex - Hexidecimal Mix. I just love the bassline) and I like "Pablo Honey" purely *because* it's so immature. I don't think the band like it themselves. OK Computer has a couple of tracks that are a bit too teenage-angst-y. even for me, like "Climbing Up the Walls" and "Exit Music (for a film)" - although even this song has it's merits if only because it made for a great scene in Father Ted. "Replace them with the two I like from the B-sides," would have been my advice. But this is a minor complaint. It is definitely a classic album.

Mijn notities foetsie :"( 5 sterren

With a lot of these Radiohead albums, they've been hyped up so tremendously in previous years that when I'm not blown away, it feels like a personal failure rather than some flaw in the music or over-saturation of universal praise. Don't get me wrong, I loved OKC and I loved Kid A and hopefully I love whatever else they have on this list. It's just, you know. I thought my life would be changed after listening or something. I'll keep trying. I'd give this 4.5 stars if I could, but because I can't really fault this album, it's 5/5. Highlights: Paranoid Android, Exit Music, Electioneering, No Surprises

Anyone who says this album isn't 5 stars is trying too hard to be cool.

Obviously one of the best albums

Fucking hell Coldplay really ripped off Radiohead in a way that somehow makes me respect them even more than I already do

Timeless IMO. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that this came out when I was 16, and that several of its singles had iconic music videos in the prime era of music videos. But maybe it’s just really f’ing good. Most albums are lucky to have a handful of tracks that are great. Very few albums can be played from beginning to end, every time, without fail fail, without skipping a beat. This is one of them.

Their best and also my alltime favourite

I like this, fantastic album

Listened to it before. Love it, my favorites are The Tourist, Exit Music For a Film and Karma Police

One of my favorites off all time

All-time classic. Haven't listened to it in full in a long while, but man is it ever still great.

Paranoid Android Let Down Karma Police No Surprises

Nearly three decades down the line and I'm still undecided. It's clearly genius, but do I like it? I'm saying yes today.

An old favorite for me, sang it nearly word for word. Impossible to judge, I've spent so much time with it, so it gets a 5.

One of the Greatest.

Fav: No Surprises

OMG brilliant album. A real classic

This is an amazing album. I played it to pieces when it came out and listening now it still sounds really good. It's a work of art and a great rock album. It's quite full of despair and isn't for every happy birthday party. Possibly one of the best albums of all time. Yes, it's an anthem for depression that makes it come to life and scream! And it sounds good. Like Pornography by the Cure, it's so emotive and powerful, like a vintage coffee, or treasured champagne, that I use it sparingly when I really want it.

Exit music, karma police, no surprise i lucky to moje ulubione

So good. I’m not great at writing reviews

Don’t think I could be any Fitter Happier after listening to this album. No Surprises this gets a 5 star rating. You will not be Let Down listening.

It's the band they love to hate. This is the album that REALLY started it off. I remember when it came out I'd already grown to love The Bends but this was radically different.

Allt jag vill ha från ett album. Perfekt.

This album is perfect. I really love Radiohead and can revisit their albums endlessly without getting bored. This one signals their move towards electronic music and it’s hard to imagine now but at that point, a band like this were just not supposed to do that. And they did it beautifully. Their desire to grow and change as artists is so clear when on this album. It’s a masterpiece.

This is a personal favorite, but even outside of that I think it deserves 5 stars. The music is beautifully textured, the lyrics are a detailed rendering of late 90s existential angst.

This is unfair, it’s one of my favorite albums growing up

Matched my mood

Generally speaking, I am not really a fan of Radiohead. But with this release they put together a cohesive and engaging set of songs (about alienation, I think) that is a strong contender for one of the best albums ever made. The songwriting, the production, the vocals, the instrumental arrangements, it's all top draw stuff.

At the time britpop was climbing up its own arse, the underground dance scene was being made into commercials and being approriated by all, Music we thought was dead. Then there was this, the most interesting and engaging album of the 90s a proper send off for the 20th century whatever the fuck that meant. I remeber first hearing this at a bus stop in the bristol suburbs. Listening to the tape in my walkman. It was like a mirror to another universe. And as an album it all works no duff tunes it builds, all the songs seem to take you on this strange journey. This album wins the whole book.

This is the best one. Decided.

OK Computer is one of the all time greats! I'm not heavily into Radiohead, I struggle with most of their experimental stuff, I preferred their earlier stuff, but with OK Computer - as an album, it seemed to capture me at the right point in time. Re-listening to the album today, sat down with headphones on, totally uninterrupted. I got to appreciate all the extra details, the layering, the production - it's a crazy equal mix of bleakness and inspiration, quite a journey.

I think this is my third or fourth Radiohead album in fifty days. This is supposedly one of people's favorites. #1 - Ah yes, now I remember. Sublime instrumentals overlayed with UGUUGHHs and YEAAASHSSs and EEEEEEEHs from Thom Yorke. Is it really a Radiohead album without him though? #2 - I'm biased to this song because I've heard it before (not the entire album besides really this one and Karma Police). It's on my playlist so, yes, I like it. ★ #3 - Decent. It feels relatively hopeful compared to some of the other songs by them. #4 - Honestly, not sure how to describe it. Mournful basically. #5 - Good stuff. Depressing and crushing. #6 - Another one of my favorites from this album (biased) that I feel holds up. And yes, it's still on my playlist. ★ #7 - Haunting interlude to the second part of the album. #8 - Compared to the rest of the album so far, this is kind of the odd beast out when it comes to sound. Not terrible and the lyrics are pretty good. On it's own, not so much, but listened to the interlude to here is such a shift. #9 - And now I'm being drug back down to the Radiohead you know and love. Title is pretty appropriate and, again, haunting. #10 - I'm a fan of it. For me, definitely a song about growing up and finding contentment. #11/#12 - The rest of the songs kind of blurred together for me at this point (it's only two, but still). I feel like all the heavy hitters were played earlier. Doesn't mean they are bad tracks, I just think they failed to stand out compared to the rest of the album. I can't give this a (fairly) unbiased, first time listen to this album since I've heard bits of this album before. Honestly, if you're going to be listening to Radiohead, this is the album. Kid A wasn't bad, but this surpasses it. Phenomenal album, 5/5.

What a masterpiece. Such a game-changing album. Achingly beautiful in places, it was such a unique and inspiring album. I was already a Radiohead fan when this was released and this one just blew me away with its creativity and fresh sound from the start. By the time you’re into ‘Paranoid Android’ you realise that this is different level. A onslaught on the senses! Some of the softer moments and harmonies are just incredible (‘Subterranean Homesick Alien’, ‘Exit Music’, ‘Let Down’, ‘No Surprises’), but ‘Lucky’ is still one of my favourite all time tracks. 26 years old, but still one of my ‘go to’ albums, and in the conversation for the best album of all time ever.

According to the NME, the 2nd best album of 1997, which they got right! However this has probably overshadowed their original no 1 of the year choice ever since. It is a straight up mid 5, even before I listen to it today. Only one weak track which is 'Fitter Hapoier' and also written in tiny letters on the track listing on the record. I often wonder why that is? Did they think it was crap too? Apart from that, the album is virtually flawless in its sometimes beautiful but mostly melancholy way. Such great experimentalism going on with these songs, the guitar playing is abstract and a shining example of how to get the most out of a guitar. Very few guitarists are as good as Jonny Greenwood, bringing raw emotions of angst and madness into their playing. Along with Yorke's vocal delivery, builds a fucked up and exhilarating ride into the depths of their souls. Sorry to sound wanky, but it is a classic which as far as I'm aware, they never topped and have I listened to a Radiohead album since this one? Not properly, as they never got close to perfection as this again.

"Airbag" is already a banger damn. "Paranoid Android" is such a gem. I love it. The guitar progression is so heartbreaking and beautiful at the same time. "Subterranean Homesick Alien" has amazing whammy + wah wah usage on the guitar. "Karma police" is a CLASSIC. Still a big fan of course. Legendary song. The bass on this song is insane btw. "No surprises" is also one of my favorite. I just love Radiohead. They are so creative, rock, melancolic and it that nostalgia that so many other people are feeling as well. "Electioneering" was a trip but I liked it. Jonny Greenwood is a genius A milestone imo. Love this album

Masterpiece

I will never forget listening to Ok Computer for the first time. It was like music from the future. No hyperbole, it changed my life. It changed the way I listened to music. It changed what I believed was possible. 25+ years later and I’m still in awe every time I listen to it. The moment Thom’s voice splits in Let Down, the chaotic screaming climax to Climbing Up The Walls, We are one in everlasting peace …. those moments still give me goosebumps every time. I could write one of those thousands of words reviews you see on here, but it’s all been said already. There are masterpieces and then there is Ok Computer 10/10

Favourite tracks Airbag Exit music(for a film) Crawling up the walls Subterranean homesick alien

moj radiohead <3 <3 <3 10000/5

Full of chilling vocals and insightful lyrics, this album is a masterpiece in itself with no flaws at all, in my opinion. Each song takes your mind into another dimension and are also full of hidden meanings. This is the type of music I’d love to listen to before bed. Personal favorites: Subterranean Homesick Alien, Paranoid Android, Let Down.

Radiohead. Thom Yorke. Perfection.

The album "The Bends" was not an easy album to follow up on. This album is paranoid, claustrophobic, and whiny.. in the best possible way. Lyrics are great, they portray a technologically dependent society and future, and a lot of deep messages about things like insanity, capitalism, etc. Album feels to me like the end of 'what was', which is what I believe Radiohead was trying to achieve. I could listen 100 times and still find something new every time. Personal Favorites: Climbing up the Walls, Exit Music, Subterranean Homesick Alien

One of my favorite albums ever

Fitter Happier More productive

huonoin death metal albumi mitä olen koskaan kuullut... marketointi kikka, mitään muuta tämä ei ole. katso tarkkaan sanoja : ''radio''+ ''head'' = sairas paska? kuka tekisi noin? dis album is more relevant than ever dough...jos konumesrisismi on niin paha niin miksi kaupankäynti...artifichial itelligence IS REAL..... tears in rain. albumi skipattu. exit musiikki

Really a great piece of music. First 5 star rating.

Airbag - i can’t believe it’s this album. it’s definitely Radiohead. (3/5) Paranoid Android - i hate that i like this kind of music. this era and genre of rock are honestly iconic. i actually really appreciate Radiohead’s melodicness at times. (5/5 yeah it’s 6 minutes. and?) Subterranean Homesick Alien - the prog rock/psychedelic is so fun. i truly don’t get the hate for long fleshed out songs. (5/5 i was a subterranean homesick alien the whole time) Exit Music (For a Film) - (5/5) Let Down - definitely sounds like a 180. i’m so honed in on that tambourine. (3/5 middle of the road but not bad) Karma Police - i dunno. pretty alright. i feel like each instrument blends into the other one and it comes together into one sound. it all sounds good together but nothing stands out too much. (3/5) Fitter Happier - Microsoft Sam. skit! (2/5) Electioneering - oh hey it’s politics (4/5 and rockabilly) Climbing Up the Walls - i like the downward spiral this song feels like (4/5) No Surprises - :( (5/5) Lucky - guitar solo to go out on (4/5 Radiohead is starting to grow on me) The Tourist - the soft drums and soft vocals are beautiful. (4/5 a little droning sometimes but not bad) i actually super enjoyed this. was actually a little upset to see it loop. anyway, good album 5/5 only seems fair.

One of my favorite albums EVER! From songwriting to production to overall concept it’s a work of genius.

What a great album this is. I'm already rating it a 5 because I've heard it many a times before. Paranoid Android is so cool. The progression of the humming part is great. Subterranean Homesick Alien is great too. whoa can't believe I spelled that word right. Subterranean. lol They're all great. Exit Music (For a Film) is amazing! Yep just as amazing as all the other times I've listened to it. 5 stars

Legendary

It's hard to overstate how important of an album this was for me. I was only 7 when it came out, but when I first heard it in middle school it really changed how I thought of rock music. The anxiety and discomfort with the world was palpable. Still an absolute masterpiece. 5/5

Really great. I was mostly familiar with "weird Radiohead" (Kid A onwards), so the only song I knew off this album coming in was Karma Police. Plenty of great tracks: Paranoid Android, Exit Music, Fitter Happier, Karma Police, Climbing Up the Walls, and Lucky were all very impressive. The album drips with digital paranoia and technological claustrophobia, and felt musically coherent despite utilizing a variety of (well-executed) styles. 9/10. Favorite Track: Climbing up the Walls

Perfect

Pretty, pretty good. Forgot how hard Johnny Greenwood goes on this album. Hall of famer and no doubter 5 stars in the opinion of this pig, in a cage, on antibiotics.

Well this is easy. Top 25 album of all time - locked in 5.0. Just a nice excuse to listen.

I really love this album. It’s been a while since it felt relevant to my life but I’m sure I’ll revisit it many more times.

Timeless classic

It's Radiohead. Those guys are legends. Great album.

No Surprises is such a dreadfully happy song

Great album, my intro into RH's deeper catalog beyond Creep.
