We Are Family
Sister SledgeThis album is funky, it swings. It makes me want to sing and dance. The vocals are incredible and the instruments are clear and good. This is music.
This album is funky, it swings. It makes me want to sing and dance. The vocals are incredible and the instruments are clear and good. This is music.
This was a lovely album to listen to on a Monday morning... But then I ran out of morning.
This album starts with exactly that annoying voice that makes me think of Bob Dylan as a bit. Having said that, due to circumstances I was extremely in the mood for sad and annoying which made me see a bit of value in Uncle Bob and that earns this album a passing grade.
One or two Eminem songs are nice, but I get real tired of his flow and voice and skits at the end of the album
Interesting and boring at the same time. Mostly boring
First listen: every song feels nice, no boring parts. gonna listen again with a bit more attention. second listen: A bit simple, maybe a tad boring after all. Still a pleasent listen.
Loved this one. Very upbeat, interesting all the way through. Liked the background vocals.
Some songs sounded like easy guitar hero songs. Bit of a strange over-use of stereo. Not bad, but also not something I will play again.
Listened while running. Got lost in some instrumental parts (in a good way). Some other parts sounded like they were supposed to be musical songs.
Do not like lana's singing style, like every word takes a tremendous effort to pronounce. The whole album is a blur of similar sounding songs. Hard to finish this album.
Close to perfect
Sounds a bit like a soundtrack for a movie or a game. Not too bad, but also not very remarkable.
This album generated a lot of hype in me. Just flows really nice
Quite liked this one. Energetic, swinging.
Bunch of annoying songs. Dead finks don't think is somewhat nice, but then it ends in a bunch of noise
Not a bad listen, also not very memorable
Interesting and boring at the same time. Mostly boring
This was not bad, but it mist some spice to be actually good. Some songs grew on me during 2nd listen
I'm not against country per se. It is just not super... Good. Act naturally was nice
During the 4th song I wondered if the first song ended already. Sounds a bit like comforting noise
Tad slow but interesting album that gets better near the end
Some heavy metal. Not great, not terrible.
One or two Eminem songs are nice, but I get real tired of his flow and voice and skits at the end of the album
Loved it, the voice, the music, the variety.
Album starts very strong, Survivor is a banger. The ending is a bit boring
This was good
The songs are good, but the recording/mix is very muddy. Heard 1 version of the David Bowie mix which I preferred a lot more
I like One Metallica song, but afterhalf an album I get real tired of it. Feels so forced.
This was a nice Foo fighters album. Nothing exceptional, but also nothing bad.
Some nice songs, but also some terrible songs
Nice variety of songs and didn't want to skip anything.
This album is funky, it swings. It makes me want to sing and dance. The vocals are incredible and the instruments are clear and good. This is music.
OK, but not remarkable
It's a vibe, but has some out of place songs like the last one. The Seed 2.0 is insanely good tho.
I don't like the way Dylan sings, it is tiring. I also don't really love the music, like boring blues. Maybe I'll love another Dylan album
Some nice tunes. But I didn't really notice we already listened to the album 5 times. Not sure if that is a good or a bad thing.
Nice album, not super remarkable but feels good all the way through
Has some classics which are fun to here
Kind of basic
Listened to the deluxe edition which was very good
Is ok, but no real highlights
Amazing tunes
A bit too experimental for me at times
Did not like the start, but the album grew on me as it went on.
This is a bit too messy for me
Very decent
Love the white stripes sound, could listen to it all day
Not bad, but not remarkable
Too hard for me to enjoy
Did not listen to this queens of the stone age album before, it was a bit more raw, but I liked it.
Some interesting but also quite some boring parts
I love this: it relaxes me, doesn't bore and the James bond theme cover fills me with nostalgia.
This was close to being 4 stars, loved some of the instruments but had some boring parts.
Boring, annoying country voice. Really struggled to get through this one. Luckily it was fairly short.
I like this album a lot. Some songs are a bit boring, but they get saved by some interesting guitar.
Some parts were to weird/crazy, some parts were excellent, most parts were OK. Was considering 2,3 or 4 stars during the listen, but 3 seems the most appropriate.
I expected this album to go into 3 star rock hell, but it was a bit more interesting than that!
Am a bit conflicted about this one. It is unique and awesome, but also a bit gimmicky and I get tired of it at the End of the whole album.
This felt like a trip, a good one
My only complaint is that is stops after only half an hour
Mostly cool sounds with some noise inbetween
Just a good, upbeat rock album.
The songs are fantastic, the pacing is good, it feels like a whole album. I could listen to this album any time of the day.
A bit to horing
I could enjoy this way more than the last mbv album we had. Not sure if it is better or if I was in a better mood for it
Easy to listen
This is not my favourite daft punk album, but it has some bangers
This was okay, but some songs were kinda annoying after a few listens
I loved some of the instrumental parts but a lot of parts were a bit... cheesy?
I really love some songs on this album, but there are also some songs where I can't really decide if I like them or if they are annoying.
This sits somwhere between annoying unique and fun unique and I am not quite sure on which side.
First half of the album is amazing, second half has some boring songs. Love it overall.
There are a few moments where it is a bit too much but overall this is very good
Don't remember a lot from yesterday, that's a bad sign
Did not really feel this album, not very exciting and I don't really feel the gospelly vocals.
Sad without excitement
Very enjoyable from start to finish
Strong album in its own way, but wouldn't listen to it a lot.
To many mediocre and annoying songs to enjoy
First half is amazing, second half could be a bit better
I like the unique style, but the audience is distracting and after half an album it's been enough
I don't get ABBA's appeal and I'd be glad if I never heard it again, it bores me out of my mind. I'll give this album half a star for not being the 5 hits that you always hear and a second half because I am probably underappreciating something here.
I like the chill vibes but it might be a bit too chill and lacks some excitement.
Unimpressive but not bad.
This is not my favourite van halen album, although eruption holds a special place in my heart. The guitars sound so Van Halen it sometimes starts to sound a bit like a parody. I love it
Energetic, fun, hypes me up. Not a song I want to skip
Less bad than the last Bob Dylan album (blonde on blonde) but still so boring. Maybe if we just keep the harmonica parts it would be enjoyable.
As far as Christmas albums go this wasn't terrible
It is a good album, but a bit lengthy at times. I find myself longing for specific songs that I like particularly.
A few highlights but mostly boring
Mostly very excellent, love the guitar sound. Just some songs that are a bit too messy
Pretty nice, upbeat and fun.
I could listen to this once every day and still get perfectly relaxed. Excellent duo
Good old school vibe. Nice flow and quite relaxing
I can imagine a mood where I am into listening one of these songs. As an album it's uninspiring at best.
This makes me feel nostalgic to a place I've never been.
It started out very generic but I somehow got in the flow halfway to the album and enjoyed it quite a bit.
this added exactly nothing to my life
Bit generic at times but not too bad
This was hard to get through with rare moments of okayness
Great album
This album was quite a drag, with some rare moments of ok-ness
Most songs aren't that bad but the album feels incoherent and drags on a bit too long
This album starts very chill, gets a bit annoying halfway and ends chill again.
Love this, this is what I think about when I think about 90s hiphop
Really liked the vibe of this album
Nice flow, got me hyped
I could listen to this all day, very chill
This has some very good but also a lot of very annoying parts
Amazing voice, good covers
Very happy music
This album is not as boring as the previous 2 albums (or I am getting used to it?). What I am not getting used to is his voice/singing style. I can't get past the fact that it sounds like somebody is making a parody of Bob Dylan, but it is actually just him.
Only thing I can think during this album is that I wish I were there
Cheesy and kind of annoying
Loved the upbeat tracks at the start and the theatrical ending, but it lost me at some filler in between
Get really hyped by some of the hits and some songs that just flow really well. Album has too much filler and interludes to be enjoyable as music for me.
I like an Irish folk song, I even like 5. I don't like 18.
First few songs were very interesting, but they decided that the rest of the album had to be boring to compensate.
Just very good jazz
Chill album, not very memorable. I would recommend to fall in love with the drummer
This album surprised me by giving me way more energy and enjoyment than I thought
Bit too long, bit too unremarkable but not too bad.
Some weird concepts going on, which I like. Not good enough to make a lasting imoression
Smooth and very relaxing
Toooooo much shouting
This album surprised me in enjoyment
Kendrick made me love hiphop, could listen to this any day.
Simply amazing from start to finish. So many perfect songs
For the 34 minutes this lasted it was still fun
Makes me smile almost the whole album long. Extra fun if you imagine shooting ghouls while this is playing
This was pleasant to listen to, but nothing more
Much better than I expected. Sometimes a bit overly dramatic
Didn't catch me as much as I thought it would
This was quite weird, not necessarily in a good way.
Solid album, but the last song really makes it for me. It's a journey on its own
Super nice vibes, chill but never boring
Didn't feel this album and would have given this a "2 star boring" review if it wasn't for murder mystery which I couldn't stop playing.
Moon Safari is one of my favourite albums of all times, I can literally enjoy this album at all times.
This was not really fun, although it blended away in the background after a while
The first half is a solid 1, way too much noise. The second half of this album was just listenable enough to appreciate the musical ability and earn an extra star but is was very close.
Some nice tunes in here
Lovely album, super enjoyable from start to finish.
This oscillated between exciting and boring, but mostly positive
Weird in a fun way
Very mediocre, won't listen to this again
Not too exciting, the calvary cross live was nice but I won't listen to this again
Don't listen to reggae as much I'd like to, really enjoyed this one.
Some really nice parts, but nothing that really sticks
Apart from some extra boring songs like hallelujah this had some nice sounds
Mostly very mediocre but never annoying to listen to.
Very forgettable
Pleasantly surprised by this album.
Has some classics and some really nice parts, I do get a bit tired of the voice after a few songs but overall still ok
This was pretty nice, but not very special
Full of energy and short enough to not get tiresome
I can listen to fever 10 times in a row and the rest is also not bad
Just very good
Love the long winded dreamy noisey sounds, but don't really like the more messy sounds.
Some lovely beatles like sound, but the recording is very muddy which takes away from the enjoyment
Never really listened to the sex pistols but it was much nicer than I expected
This album carries an amazing atmosphere, love it.
Big vibe
A lot of it flows pretty nicely, but some parts made me feel nervous for some reason. The outro was a very long list I don't have to hear again
Could listen to any beatles album any time of any day, this is not the best one: 4.5
On a free festival with nice weather and a few bears I could listen to this but only if there isn't somewhere more fun to be.
The fast paced songs bring me a kind of discomfort that really scratches an itch. The slower songs make me want the faster songs. Unique experience
Not quite standing out to me but I would never complain if this album is playing
Lovely voice, at times a bit unexciting
This sounds like an album that could be something I really like, but the execution is way off
45 minutes of dreamy goodness
Was kind of okay
Can really lose myself in live solos, bit annoyed by applause and talking band. Overal very good
Just liked it
It is punk, and I don't think I'll get bored of punk
I can never get tired of this upbeat funky soul music
Loved the faster paced songs, bit bored at times but solid album.
This is a very solid album, although there are some annoying songs on here (seaside rendezvous, prophet's song). Death On Two Legs might me my new favourite Queen song.
4.5, Michael Kiwanuka makes me feel all sort of warm feelings. It misses just a small bit of something that love & hate has
Enjoyable album, but I feel it's a bit to 'clean'
Okay but never exciting
I expected more metally music, but this was quite nice
This was way too long, and not that fun.
Blanket of comfortable noise, yes.
Very clean with some very nice songs on it. A lot of the album disappears into the background a bit though,
More fun than expected for most of the album
Lovely as background music
Nice live performance
Love the energy and love Voodoo people. Makes me want to mosh pit more than anything
Decent album, nothing too special.
It's upbeat, nice music but the voice of Costello gets a bit tiring
2 absolutely amazing songs and other good songs.
Good rock and some memorable hits.
OK with some nostalgia attached
Just okay
Can listen to songs like Heartland for a long time. Bit weird at time but giving it the benefit of the doubt
Pleasant but a tad boring
It is too musically? Extra? Too much I am not into it
Listened to this album 3 times now and forgot about it every time. Therefore 3 stars.
Lovely voice, smooth and rough at the same time
I really love no sleep till Brooklyn and fight for your right, but would have been fine listening to just those 2 songs. So much yellinf
Lovely album with many chill songs
Some nice dreamy sounds
Bit too boring with some exceptions
Seems like it wants to be something that it just can't reach
Makes me feel good
Black Sabbath keeps surprising me with listenable music
Unimpressed and hard to remember anything
Amazing blues
Boring
Good combination
amazing voice, very powerful
This is good, but also a tad to backgroundy
This is okay but I don't really get caught by it
A lot of songs on this album sounds like they started out with a good idea, but could only finish it in the most boring way possible.
Album doesn't really know what it want to be so it just pretends
Sounds good but way too tame
This album is almost it
This was quite nice once I got into it but I can't really remember anything that stands out, a big haze of metal
California Dreamin' is amazing and the others songs are also good
This was certainly one of the albums
An album like this just makes me want to be there which is exactly the point.
Uptempo funky goodness
For some reason I always thought Paul's solo albums would be boring and I was so wrong. Loved it
This was just very very good
Lovely album
Love the weirdness, can feel myself floating away.
Not too special, was over before I knew. Nice sample though
Very good, keep getting surprised by live albums
Okay at times
Good rock
Quite beautiful
surprised by u2 once again, good album
Certainly one of the albums
This album has some absolutely amazing songs. Unfortunately there were also some parts of the album where I would rather have listend to those same amazing songs 5 times in a row.
Some absolutely beautiful songs
This album has am amazing vibe, dark and chill. Nothing really stands out but it brings something.
For some reason the last 4 songs suddenly became fun
just a fine album
Good flows, has some vibe but not sure if I will put it on again
Feels like I've listened to a movie. Interesting idea, but bit boring in execution
Bittersweet symphony is amazing, but the album dies down a bit as it drags on.
Not bad, but also not very inspiring
This was a load of boring shit, but it has a vibe
Nothing special, nothing bad
Funky goodness that I could listen to a lot, but in some parts the energy goes down a bit too much.
Lovely chill album to
Had this on repeat for longer than most albums this challenge, but can't pick out anything that I exceptionally like. Just very good
This album just brings me so much joy, love it any time of the day.
There are some rough parts but the soundscapes some songs end up in are absolutely lovely
I hear good musicians playing good music. It also has a certain cleanliness to it that makes it a bit too clinical. Not sure why this bothers me because it doesn't in some other artists music, still good.
Love the title song, but the rest is quite unremarkable.
This is very close to a 5 for me, but there are a few dull moments in the second half of the album
The album was better than I expected. Politik and God Put a Smile upon Your Face are really nice, but it also contains songs that are so boring they make me want to skip ahead 10 seconds in. All in all ok
3.5. Has some really nice songs and vibes, but also a simple at times
Beautiful, dark, dreamy.
Love the style of eels
What's up wisconsin?? Solid album, almost good enough for 4 stars
Below average
Few highs with a lot of boring lows
Funky
Boring, annoying, cliche (maybe not when it was made? idc don't have to hear this again)
beautiful, combination of dreamy guitar and the beautiful voices do it for me
Enjoyed this a lot from start to end
This moody vibe hit me at the right time
amazing voice and ambiance
The first sound of this album is one of my favourite sounds of all time. It instantly makes my day. I can have this on repeat forever, the songs just make me so happy.
Some songs have this amazing ambiance, but it still is a bit too much for a whole album
Might be my favourite version of quite some Nirvana songs
This gets close to being actually good, but the impression it leaves after listening is "just okay"
These old school live club recordings just make me want to be there every time. It feels alive.
Not too impressed, it is a bit too messy especially at the end.
Weirdly boring
A bit simple but it also has a oldschool vibe that flows quite well
Not really bad but also quite forgettable
As always with Metallica there are some parts that are beautiful but the album as a whole is just tiresome. Am gonna give this one the benefit of the doubt because I am currently listening to a beautiful part.
Lovely
Nice, smooth album.
Not bad, a bit too long and nothing really stands out but I can feel it
Fine album
Took me a while to get through this one
Amazing voice and ambiance
Some songs like the first one have a very nice vibe. Others are way way too random
Great ambiance, can imagine this to be higher rated if you know the movie
Bit boring but pleasant to listen to. Makes you feel welcome
This album got me into hiphop. It's filled with these dark, powerful and energetic songs. Inspired by so many good things from other genres. Probably in my top 5 albums of all time
Good album
Swinging, upbeat. Love to hear it more often
Not bad, but a bit plain. Wouldn't remember it tomorrow
Quite ok
I will always like the Gorillaz, but this album does not contain my favourite songs
I started out being bored by this album but gradually I got into the mood and it became quite beautiful.
Very rare good parts don't save it from the boring mess
Some very enjoyable parts with some lows in between
This album has a bunch of songs that can cheer me up me at any time, love the vibe that Fatboy slim puts down.
Loved the start and the end, but the middle dragged a bit
This album has most of the songs by Metallica that I like, it is just 20 minutes too long
This was weird in the worst way possible. Was very glad to hear the 2nd CD was not canon
Nice tunes to float away on
Bit too boring, but just okay enough
Upbeat, fun all the way through
Feels like a complete album, maybe a bit dramatic too dramatic at times but overall very good
Twice as long as it should be but gives me nostalgic feelings to when I listened to similar music when I was 12
Very very enjoyable
Enjoyable all the way through
Epic, kind of long. Would probably have been more fun to be there than to listen to it from home.
Unique in this list, not sure if that deserves stars but it will get 2 from me
Okay, poppy, okay
Lovely, weird, good. Please play this for me any time
Beautiful rock album which some amazing highlights
Weirdly smooth gooey goodness with dreamy vocals that can make my day any day.
Nicely smooth but gets a bit monotonous after a while
pretty good
The stronger sounding songs, mostly the hits, are a 4 for me. But the boring songs bring this down to a 3.
Pretty nice
Smooth as fuck
Tad too dramatic for my taste
Starts and ends great. Middle is good enough
Amazing album during a train ride in the dark
What I expected. Just ok
Very close to a 5
Mostly good with some very very good songs (first song).
Always love the white stripes. This album specifically I can listen on repeat for a week.
This is great. Every song is good and it just takes you to that special place where you are the music
But mweh, but can't pinpoint ehy
Okay but slow at times
Vibe of the album seems to match the name. Could dream away in this album whenever I want
Very good album, most songs are interesting.
Not bad, but a bit generic at times
The titlesong is an absolute banger. The rest of the album is a bit worse, but still very nice to listen to.
Amazing vibe with a few very good highlights
At least a bonus star for "Girls just wanna have fun"
Loved the first half of this album a lot, loved the second half a bit less but it's in no way bad.
Bit too boring apart from 2 songs
When I finally got to a nice song it was the Spotify suggestions already
Some parts are a bit too much. But not bad at all.
Waiting room for the next album
Hit me at the right time
Pleasant to listen to, but also easy to forget
Love the mood this album gives rise to
Meh
Some very good vibes
Love every second of this album
This album starts with exactly that annoying voice that makes me think of Bob Dylan as a bit. Having said that, due to circumstances I was extremely in the mood for sad and annoying which made me see a bit of value in Uncle Bob and that earns this album a passing grade.
It's a vibe
Can't imagine something much more boring than this
Lovely nostalgic sad angry
Not great, not terrible
Mostly OK with a few highlights
Quite nice, not exceptional
The first song starts out pretty good but it goes down hill faaaaast
Not my favourite jazz album in this challenge, a bit ?basic?
Music was not bad, but it felt a bit incoherent
Freaking musical
Less boring than I should have found this.
It's not bad and I do understand that people like it, but this is not for me.
Almost good, but a bit to "funny"
If I ever want to listen to 40 minutes of sitar again I will listen to these 40 minutes of sitar
I found zero flaws in this album, so naturally it gets maximum points
Great blues album
This was a lovely album to listen to on a Monday morning... But then I ran out of morning.
Okay to listen to but nothing really sticks
Trash
Liked the first half a lot, did not really care for the second half.
Some really enjoyable parts and then the high pitched singing
Amazing vibe that gets you in the chillest of chill.
Okay, but it gets a bit to sweet
I once again discovered I am not into country
Good singer, mwah music
It took me a few songs but it got me into this lovely dreamlike state in the end
This album feels like a smoothly produced ride from the start to the end. Enjoyed it a lot, but missed a few highs that I think Graduation has for example.
Again a bit in dubio about a reggea album. There are certainly days where this feels like a 4, but on other days it gets way too repetitive musically.
A lot better than the country album, with a few highlights. But still not that special
There is not enough substance, boring.
Good rock
Nice vibe, smooth and make me want to move
Not bad, not memorable
This is ok
I feel like I should find this boring given previous reviews, but Cohen's voice has something magical that makes it wonderful.
Good Good Good
Also good
Some fun songs on here
Some very fun songs and some mid songs. Almost a 4.
Beautiful
Bit too b9ring
Would love to be there
There are some lovely dreamy sequences, unfortunately they get interrupted by a boring mess.
A strong 3 that Frontier Psychiatrist lifts up to a 4.
Album full of well produced hype
Boring. Was about 30 minutes too long
Weirdly dramatic in a boring way
Pretty ok, but a bit long winded at times
Feels quite original, pretty nice
Most songs on this album don't do it for me, but then there's superstition which adds at least a star to the rating
Annoying boring mess
Was not very interesting until the last song
Very unique, chill in the background, almost 4 stars
Groovy
Fun sounds
Great good
Really loved the last half of this album, but the first half was a bit too messy.
Really strong opener and reasonably fun afterwards
Pretty uneventful
Did really enjoy this, feels quite unique and pleasent to listen to all the way through
Listened to this 3 times but nothing really stuck
Good album and amazing song golden skans
It is almost too smooth to be true
I love sly
Beautiful but stale
This is fine, but I expected a bit more hype
Very tempted to give this 1 extra star because it just has some weird stuff in it and I respect that. But the whole experience was a bit too unlistenable
This is one of the worst albums I have heard, an album hasn't made me angry like this to finish in a long time. Boring and very very annoying
Bit too long for my taste, could have stripped some of the less memorable songs and would have been a 4
The documentary was better
Nice psychedelic rock, but not too special
Good but uneventful
This is fine
I like some songs on here but I am not sure if that's just a happy memory from whatever pop culture they appeared in. Mostly it is quite mid.
I love what this tries to do, it just feels a bit unfinished. 4/5 if they retry this album
Nitbthat bad but always sounds a bit gimmicky
Pretty nice, 3.5
long winded and by times boring
Very nice
1 star for the concept and 1 star for not sticking with the original plan of 100 love songs
Weirdly varied but mostly very noisy
Quite boring with a weird mix
Very generic
Noise
Ok, but also generic
I like all the parts of the songs, they just get a bit too repetitive sometimes.
I guess I would be the regular at the bar.
An extra star for the length
Good rock with some classics
Weirdly varied but can't stand all the talking st the end
Okay
Abba keeps annoying me on a special level only surpassed by how annoyed I get about this group being popular.
Heel ludiek hoor
I can have this on repeat for a while an not get tired of it
This sauces won't change your life but it would be nice on some fries.
Pretty nice
Very mid
I respect how weird it is but not enough to make this good
Started out good but became a bit forgettable
Could have it on repeat in the background for quite a while
Some lovely songs and some filler
We have beatles at home
I really like the concept and I really want to like the music. I wish I was smarter in bass
Quite fun, but just too many boring parts to be great.
Again okay
Some very very nice songs and some boring bland stuff
Okay
The middle part of this album is absolutely perfect, but the last few songs keep me from giving this a 5
It is a tad boring, but the vibe is there
Admittedly this album has a high cringe factor. But for some reason I could also really enjoy it for what it is. Was not bored for the whole 90 minutes.
Is it music? I don't know? Do I like it? I don't know? Where am I anyway?
Very mid
A bit safe compared to his previous entry, which makes it a lot more listenable
