To explain this album and rating I will use a baking analogy. Bob for some reason decides to bake with three ingredients eggs, flour, and milk. He decides to put the eggs in without cracking them and putting them in whole. Then he puts in stale milk because he wants to and he forgot the flour so he serves you this unbaked milk egg thing. The flour represented sense because it didn’t make sense. The egg represented his harmonica because it was atrocious and he didn’t know how to use it. The milk was his voice which has expired.

I lost attention and couldn’t tell you anything because of how boring it was
Classic hard not to give it a 5
Have to at least respect the skill that they have
It felt too repetitive and didn’t change a lot in each song

He kept the same sounds throughout and it had Woodstock vibes
Makes no sense so bad that I simply could no finish it at all. It troubled me at a concerning level. It felt like a man was trying to force an album in a bad way. It was a collage of music that didn’t flow.
Pretty solid could definitely hear where some bands took from them.
Classic Chili’s sounds and words
I understand both sides of the love it and hate it. I think it’s a fringe 3 or 4 star. It’s one that has airport type vibes. I don’t think the classification of it being electronic is fully true however I do here some influence on certain electronic/EDM artists like ILLENIUM, Kygo, and Blasterjaxx (those 3 are way more electronic). It’s also a LoFi type music to it (It’s not music I would listen to while studying). Another possible artists who he could have influenced maybe is JVKE (shoutout to Gen Z, he’s an okay artist great piano). The only complaint is the repetition of words like the lyrics were good but it was just repeat, repeat, repeat for a couple songs. Would I listen to him again on my own without someone offering me anything? Yes, yes I would because he has a calm yet tech-no style. All in all a rather interesting listen.
One word: weird. Two words: really weird. Three words: Makes no sense. Four words: Explain this to me. It was just weird some were calm than some were loud and yelling
4.5-Pretty good. No other words needed
Nothing to like and nothing not to like. Airport music.
His voice might not be the best, but they have great guitar play, lyrics, and they are too iconic to give a bad rating.
Definitely 70s and not good at all
Repetition. She just needs to be more diverse in styles
He’s simply too good. All of his songs are good in lyrics and sound.
For Gen Z and Gen Alpha, you would think they should like this because all the songs are short. Even if the lyrics are sad it is still a very impressive and classic album
It sounds like giving a baby a microphone while having a tantrum. I like long songs but these were not good because it was the whole album
It’s so loud that you can’t even hear the words. For people who like to stereotype, this is your classic thrash metal band.
It was decent. I don’t what else to say
The Eagles know how to make a long song not sound boring or drab. Such a great listen overall.
They were right in the first song about there being controversy in the rap world around lyrics. Some of their lyrics arguably has to lead to where the rap world is today regarding cussing and using slurs. Also 911 is a joke has aged poorly.
It sounds like good background music especially at a restaurant. The only complaint is that he could have broken up each of the songs into another. I say that because they all changed style at some point.
If I knew what they were saying in English, then it would be better. They also only use the title as the only words in the song. It gets to a point where it’s just the same thing.
I can see why the band broke up not long after.
It was decent. The lady’s voice is pretty good, so she probably carried them in the album.
All of his songs are very good top to bottom, so it’s close to a 5.
It was alright there was a bit of repetition, and if you have to drive back home quickly to go to the bathroom then you will have a better view on it.
Would have been a 4 if it wasn’t for the creepy and disturbing last song. I understand the last song relation to the movie but keep it out of there. But this was all out of context because I have not seen the movie.
Classic punk and definitely influenced Blink-182
I did not know what to expect but she has a great voice and the style was very unified.
It was going to be a 4 until the last song. I had a more positive view of it because I played it without looking at how long the album was how many songs there were. The last song took forever to get to his point.
I was thoroughly impressed. They varied in styles, and they nailed the folk aspect.
I’m surprised that it was even allowed to get published but it was the 70s. Es profundamente perturbador.
They kept you on your toes for every song which is good.
I thought it was solid and contrasted each song well
I was shocked because I didn’t think it was going to be that good!!!
Was not expecting them to be this good, but the sounds were spot on and sounded great
A classic 80’s album
I didn’t realize they had all of these hits of one album and I was proud that they had a song about Adidas because I an a proud Adidas shoe owner
I never thought I would like disco
One of the best first album a band has ever done.
I am not a fan of modern art. I would compare them to Salvador Dali. They both tell interesting stories, and I think I was more a fan of the sounds than some of the lyrics.
I just don’t know.
Surprisingly good.
Very calm and it’s 80’s background music for a club or a bar
If it was shorter and cut down, it would be better
She’s a great voice end of story
I could hear some Weezer in them but like current Weezer. I really liked the creepy changing tempos
I could hear the Catholic in her but sheesh she didn’t need to say all oddness that she did.
I didn’t care for him talking about Vampires that just seemed weird but other than that it flowed well lyrically and stylistically
I did not fully know what to expect because he’s Elvis. His album was good he was to the point in his songs and wasn’t dragging it out for like 10 minutes for no reason whatsoever.
It would have been higher, but two songs could have been cut in half. The first halves of both were instrumental which is fine, but the second it ended the whole song changed into another song. It was 2 songs in 1 but it didn’t work
I understand the complaints about it being about war and peace but it sounded good. The complaint I have is about Goodbye and Hello because it should have been 4 different songs.
I like the explanation of the songs, but 2 songs combined should not be close to 30 minutes. I don’t want to hear a story in half an hour. I would want it to be in <7 minutes
I didn’t like the Dashboard by whatever. I see why people dislike and like him. I honestly don’t care. I will sit on top of the fence and not move.
I really like how one song flowed to another. It was a interesting fusion of several genres as well.
The piano saved it from being a 1 star
I don’t know what to say, so I will say I liked the instrumentals
A classic 80’s album
He was a troubled young man
I am not sure what to take away
It the 80’s so classic. Anyone who doesn’t give it a decent score is disrespecting the decade.
He can tell a story but is it good that’s up to you
Morrissey has the elagance as almost a hockey player skating on ice. He makes sad songs not seem that sad
Some of the songs are too much but others like the first song allow the listener to clear their mind from the madness made out of sadness
Would be a 3.5 but the interviews. I like being able to listen to an interview about the album, but these were interwoven in an interesting manner. I think the music being mixed with it was smart, but it also seemed to take away from the overall thoughts. The instrumentals were good
If you are a big boy band fan, this is for you
Words:Cohen=concept:air
While I only knew a couple words, it was upbeat and happy. You wanted to go to a beach and sing (especially Jimmy Buffet)
I see why she acts and sings. She kept the album flowing together throughout making it simpler and easier to comprehend
I mean he’s alright. He just is weird especially by having songs titled about other artists. He should have listed them in the lyrics or something else. That is very minor though. I don’t know what else to say besides repeating he’s weird
Only because of star man. It is a bit overplayed/hyped up too much. I get that it is an alter ego but it is still weird
Was there a lot of repetition? Yes. Did it change each song? Kind of. Was her voice good? Yes. Was it good? Yes and no that’s why it’s a three. It is neither good or bad
I knew fast car and she has a great voice along with some interesting lyrics
No words needed
10. 10. It’s take 10. 10 10 It’s take 10. 10 10 10 It’s take 10.
I don’t understand why he is on this list. He is not that good or deserving of it.
Did it blow me away? No, but I enjoyed it because it was calm and soothing background music
I understand the talking parts but I don’t fully grasp how they fit in maybe I just was not paying that close of attention to it
I for one am not from Compton. I do see its impact on today’s rap/hip-hop
Many styles that produced greats songs throughout the album. Enough said
Inaudible but still have fun/interesting sounds. That’s all I need and you need to know about this album
She was just whiny and whiny in her voice and then the same with her songs towards the end
I lost attention and couldn’t tell you anything because of how boring it was
Might as well add a sad version of Fly me to the moon since it’s so sad
Trumpet both good and bad
What makes it make this list because it did not seem to reach any threshold at all
A stunner, he very much is great at combining styles into a great short album. It was like biting into a food you never had before
Nothing too bad or nothing too great
This album did not give itself a bad name.
Some of it didn’t feel like sampling. It felt like straight up plagiarism. This album was not good with an awful cup of cheating on the side
Has an interesting folk mixed with the beach boys feel that works very well together
Had the same consistent sounds throughout and I wasn’t a fan of the talking. They just didn’t use it right, and it is hard to use talking in music.
There were many styles that were fused very well into one. It was complete from beginning to end. It was not full of the annoying, overplayed songs, so it was a fresh of breath air for nonQuenn listeners or people who dislike Queen
It is like watching tv and then without doing anything you slowly start to tune it out
It was just a bit weird
I understand that sometimes using a major key can work with sad, depressing lyrics but it didn’t here. Also, it is sad that she was mocking people who were trying to stop her from killing herself. This is straight up one of the most depressing albums EVER
I understand the dislike due to the style and lyrics but it is just a really weird album and I don’t know what to give it.
Beltin Elton knows how to write and sing great songs. I understand why people won’t like this due to the length but the storytelling is pretty good. I might listen to this again. Just remember Beltin Elton
I was confused by the silence in the first song but the instrumentals were great
I understand why they made the list but oh my is this awful after a while it felt like you needed to just hear nothing and be fine
Let’s just say I am glad it’s over and it should be listed as controversial due to his rather interesting thoughts on religion
The guitar is very solid and it is very well built and structured throughout
Definitely not their best and they deserve more
I am always a fan of them but this isn’t their best album however there are still great songs on it
I just want to know who thought this album is good and has a big enough impact to be on this list because frankly it is not.
It was one of those albums in which you listened to the first track and knew it was going to be great from beginning to end.
Such a legendary band however some of the song lyrics were not the best
For some reason it reminded me of O Brother Where Art Thou partially due to it occurring at a prison and some of the songs. Everyone seemed to be enjoying Cash’s music which was very good
They sound like a really bad Radiohead mixed with Muse like really bad not listen to them occasionally but listen to them never bad. But I could be wrong because they could be even worse than stated
I think it was a decent album. I understand the dislike towards his voice but overall a bit surprising and unexpected because I probably was expecting hard rock
It sounded celestial which is cool until you listen to the rest of the album and say this isn’t cool it does not vary a lot.
I enjoyed hearing different singers and they probably should have a sung a couple songs not about love because that was the only subject the entire time
A solid surprise. I didn’t know what to expect but it was a solid little band and I understand why it is on the list because some of their songs really style wise are a part of the alt-pop scene now
This album was designed to make you angry. It did for me. It made me angry about having to listen to this. The constant heavy drums make you feel like you are at a construction site which is also where you happen to be inside a coffin getting nailed very loudly. I just don’t like it. I reached this conclusion very early on when listening to it. Also it is just too much all around along with every time you get a brief break they come back even more stronger. Another thing is he is just yelling which I know is a part of this metal sub genre but I don’t know what he is saying. This music is an atrocity to society. A suggestion is to listen to calm music afterwards.
It sounded like your Grandpa’s music that he had on a record player. It was simple and was catchy throughout
I enjoyed listening to it except his saxophone skills it was so whiny and off key
I enjoyed it. It was good. I thought in one of the songs he sounded like Sting but Brazilian Sting. The sound was upbeat and they all sounded happy.
I understand why it’s on here but is it good? No. Should it have been in the book? That is up for debate so it wasn’t the best but it was far down close to the bottom of rankings for me
I liked it, but my takeaway was even as a person born post 2000 why did country music slowly tear itself apart rather than being original which can work
Wooooaaaaaah, bloooooaaaaa, and spuuuuul is random sounds that for some reason make up this album and it is wildly confusing overall. No me gusta Velvet Underground.
Has to be up there for one of the greatest albums regarding covered songs (I know some are new songs of his)
This is given due to her voice so a 3.5. I understand if you don’t like her voice but I did
It turns into background music which then turns into nothing. Music isn’t meant to be nothing but Can sure made it happen
Wasn’t expecting to like it because I am not into hair metal but it blew me away especially with the guitar
Did I agree with his lyrics all the time? -no Was I impressed with the flute? -yes Was I blown away from the album due to its amazingness? -no, not really because it was just average
I enjoyed the guitar everything else was alright but I understand why they are on the list after listening to them
I feel like it got a bit repetitive but it definitely didn’t hurt them because it was so good
I do feel like some of us doing this list have better writing skills
I don’t understand the hate if you heard all the other songs as hits you would like them. The album wasn’t 100% polished but it was still really good
Very much a wannabe band
It didn’t blow me away or say this is awful
There was something about that which screamed greatness. It felt old timey and just fun to be around. He made it feel like we all knew it and a couple had the makings of camp songs
Definitely an underrated album by the Beatles but towards the end I started to question why they did a double track. The second track was extremely subpar from the first because they were just putting stuff together and hoping it will go together
It was better than LA Woman
I could not always understand the lyrics but the songs were pretty good
I hadn’t ever listened to a full album of Rolling Stones. The guitar was very good and I am shocked that they are still touring because they didn’t seem like a perfect inform band in this album
I liked the style and arrangement of some of the songs but it didn’t mesh with the words like the Everything means nothing to me. It sounded great but the lyrics said otherwise
The first couple songs had me saying this is pretty good but then it started to repeat so that is why it’s a 3
It just felt to repetitive. If you would consider this disco, I would say I understand why it’s dead
His cover of Stevie Wonder was great but a couple times he sounded like he belonged in a boy band which are not the best bands
The first couple songs had me enjoying the album. However as the album progressed it just felt worse and worse
It’s a scattered brain album that works great. The instrumental helped improve the overall sound in a delightful way
The concept was odd and honestly I don’t know why it exists
At first, I thought it was great and amazing, but then I heard the amount of guitar solos and was just like when will this end. Going into the album, I knew a couple songs and I still enjoy them somewhat
It’s alright
It certainly shocked me. It found a way to tell great cowboy stories over and over. It is something that everyone should appreciate old, old stories
It was enjoyable and unexpected; however, it seemed a bit long.
Pretty good. I only knew of one song going into it that was by them. I actually enjoyed his voice which helped elevate their unique style.
It stays in the middle the entire time. It doesn’t get better or worse just the same sound over and over so if you like it good if not you are in for a long 40+ minutes. It’s a 3 because like mentioned above it doesn’t change at all to make it go up or down
It had a very unique style and my small Spanish vocabulary helped me understand what he was singing and saying throughout
So this is the last Leonard Cohen album I have had to listen to. I am glad about that but he actually put forth a fairly decent album. It was the best one of the list. I didn’t like the raspy not talk not fully singing he was attempting to do. The lyrics I actually enjoyed a little bit. Takeaway: It is true for Leonard Cohen he saved the best for last despite his overall failures on his previous albums which were awful.
Pretty solid. He started/continued a style most people didn’t know and he’s great
He was singing why don’t you take this out on someone else. He did and it wasn’t good. This album could have been salvaged if it was like the first couple songs but no that didn’t happen. Therapy is what he needed and he briefly mentioned someone else going to it but not him which was the problem. This album was a mistake. Lastly, I don’t understand the love for him. I could continue on that but I don’t want to because of the pitiful attempt at music this was. As you can tell in my comments, I am making an attempt at how the album progressed.
After two songs, it just became random noise that I just blocked out which was probably for the better
It just sounds like garbled vowels and occasional consonants due to annunciation problems but I think that might be in part due to me not being a big fan of the punk scene. If there was an option to vote for albums off the list, I would gladly use it on this because it’s just weird from beginning to end
Just as good as the other album. It was very close to a five just because of the whole set up and execution of the album was amazing
Pretty chill, an easy listen. I think you get the point it’s calm and nice
Pretty solid. They all worked well and meshed together. It could be a 4 but I don’t know
I know this may not be their best but it is such a classic from top to bottom
Alright
A classic album that was enjoyable from start to finish. The drop off if any was extremely minute unlike other albums on this list which start strong and then a bomb hits it and it stinks
His style was very smooth and legato-ish. Remained consistent almost the entire time
Oddly good and weird
The Chili’s never fail to impress
I enjoyed it more than I expected it. I went in with this will probably be a 3 but the consistency and execution were very good regarding the style of play. I probably will listen to it again
I learned that I am not a fan of him or his lyrics
Not usual hip hop but it was decent. It was neither good or bad. I feel like I should give it 3.5 if possible
I hope you didn’t have a headache before hand because that will be a long 58 minutes
Definitely not their best and I felt like Kurt was yelling a lot BUT that is very understandable given what happened not long after this album was released
Good style and lyrics. I forgot that I liked their voices a lot. I would say I would listen to them again but I don’t know if I will
He’s a better showman than a musician
I think that the skill level wasn’t exactly good because of the guitar play. If the skill was better, it would be a 3
I didn’t think I would like him and I kinda do. With that being said, the lyrics were odd
It seemed a bit odd. I do enjoy some distortion but not as much as this album.
She has a distinct voice and I thought the instruments she used was solid and unexpected
A comforting sadness despite it me not being sad beforehand or after
Turned into a bunch of nothingness and faded overtime
For a 10 minute song, Montana was pretty solid. The overall storytelling was pretty good but some of the lyrics were not my style so I wanted to give it a 4 so maybe 3.5
It just turned into nothingness and I feel like I have said that a lot recently regarding albums
They meshed well together and the guitar was very good sadly I don’t know how to say that in Portuguese
The execution of short songs were very good. Everyone of them nailed their part and I was a bit surprised to like them this much
It just wasn’t my style. I understand what they were campaigning for and the overall importance that have. Overall, it just wasn’t pleasant.
It is easy to think that it is worthy of all the stars but 3 makes the most sense because it did repeat a lot but it was decent background music.
Eh, it just didn’t really trip my trigger. I just can’t put my finger on it but it wasn’t my style
I really liked the distortion that they put in and it was just fun and really odd in a good way. It was very unexpected even though I had heard two songs going in.
This album was going to receive at least a 4 but the length of the songs was pointless. The songs were decent but every song doesn’t have to last 6+ minutes.
A bit too whiny and pitchy but I am not signed to a record like this band
A bit of funk and spunk made it somewhat interesting.
He never ceases to impress me. His style is very unique and executed very. His songwriting is also impressive he is a bard or poet writing ballads in the albums.
Meh
Such a legendary band, and I forgot that some of their best songs were on there. Definitely, they were influential in the grunge era
3.5 mainly due to the instrumentals it would be higher but there was too much repetition for me and his voice wasn’t the best
Should not be on the list and Limp Bizkit needs to reevaluate their style of music
It made no sense why it should be on this list. It was just samples and way too many of them
Had one hit wonder vibes and I am not much of a disco person
His voice is decent and I think that in some of the songs the instruments mainly the piano gave me a more positive view
There’s a reason why the top songs that they are best known for are their best songs because the rest are not good at all
I know some don’t like the background music but it’s decent and somewhat enjoyable
Guitar definitely carried most of it
He didn’t sound along with his music like the 70’s it felt more current
He is way tooo overhyped
Too many curse words you don’t need to curse so much
All I have in my head is Shake your Rump stuck in my head because of the Goldbergs
I could say I’m sorry but I’m not his voice is just annoying. I can only tolerate a certain amount
I’m a bit confused regarding the length of the longest song. Frankly, they were decent but that song definitely soured my view of them
Excessive guitar
Too much screaming
The drums were alright which was what seemed to be used a lot thus it determined what rating it received
Seven Nation Army is a good but not amazing song. It is also overplayed. I think that Jack White sounds better solo
The fact that they can do a double track and make it really good is impressive. They are one of the only bands that can execute a long song. It is definitely a classic album.
It’s a bit weird, actually scratch that a fair amount weird. It seems that he was stoned the entire album
Never actually listened to a whole Dolly Parton album and it was surprisingly good and unexpected like the harmonies
It was alright there was nothing to crazy or anything that screamed this is sooooo good
I’m not a big fan of his voice but I think the instruments did their part as in they offset his voice to make it a 3 if his voice was slightly better it would be a 4
I think I still like Jack’s voice. Nothing too bad or good about it. It lands right in the middle.
Stories are pretty good even if his voice isn’t the best convey decent things
A bit surprising, his voice was actually quite good or pleasant to listen to and the other various instruments certainly spiced things up a bit with interesting lyrics as well
He is alright and the album was alright clearly a direct relationship between the two
That one ten or nine minute song made it not be a 5 because it could have been shortened. Other than that the vocals and instruments were very solid.
Ah yes, everyone’s favorite sound of over sampling and making you go insane as a result
Never heard of him or just never paid attention to him. He was decent but not crazy good
The first track wasn’t the best while the others were decent due to the first track it’s a 3 and the rest being alright as well
Ah nothing like a slightly better Bob Dylan
His voice was pretty and I would say some old school vibes with it
They are up there for one of the best bands of all time. They are one of the only bands that is good at having 7+ minutes songs on an album and it’s still enjoyable and impressive given nowadays a typical song is at most 5 minutes but slightly above 2 minutes
Not a big fan of the lead singer’s voice but there’s a reason some of those songs are popular because they are solid but not solid lyrically
It seemed good for the first couple songs but then you just wanted it to end quickly but it didn’t
It felt too repetitive and didn’t change a lot in each song
I actually liked it more than I expected. The main song I liked was Help the Aged because the lyrics were valid and strong at the same time
Marley kept his classic style in it and he sounded very good and the band worked together well with the lyrics and his voice
You don’t have to complain every song. The world isn’t that bad nor is her life
I’m not much of a live album guy but he did a solid job and made it more enjoyable than other artists live albums
I thought that it was incredibly easy to just tune it out and not fully listen to it but the guitar was alright
Maybe slightly shorter and the style itself was decent
Bad,bad, bad voice and it made no sense at all
Probably could have been shortened a bit and it did sound like your usual 60’s/70’s psychedelic rock
I certainly don’t believe the hype. I didn’t before and don’t know because his voice just starts to get annoying just like Costanza in Seinfeld saying Costanza to a possible girlfriend and then said girlfriend is like I can’t get that name out of my head. Also you don’t need a bunch of long songs
The Bon Dylan in my book doesn’t have the best voice and that was for sure the case in this album (chapter)
Why repeat so much
A waste of time for sure his smugness was a bit much
Nice voice fits ‘90s mold
No need to complain that much, come on man
One word to describe it is baffling. I thought the first song with the introductions was interesting and I would not have expanded on it at certain parts of the album. At this point, I am not surprised that such an idiotic, stupid, and pointless album is on the list. Sooooooo many great artists don’t have many albums but you gave these bums an album come on man. Also why does Apple Music have it in their top 100 albums of all time. This is just not worthy of that but it’s all subjective.
They had some decent moments in the album but not an amazing stellar moments that took your breath away or made you say wow
Probably not worthy of being on the list and another mediocre British band. Why can’t we have more American or Canadian bands
Was it my favorite style? No but it was enjoyable and solid overall. I already like Ozzy though. The guitar was remarkable.
I didn’t know what yo expect but she has a wonderful voice
Such a great album from the lyrics to instruments. It’s amazing and so good. I’ve heard it before several times and it ages like a fine wine
Abhorrent, disgraceful, and bad representation of music in general. At one point, the screaming just turned into nothingness because of how bad it was. It made me realize that some artists are bad and should never had their music published. It wasn’t enjoyable and I wouldn’t force this on anyone to listen at all
Didn’t expect it to be this good but solid Christmas songs were on it
In one word: lackluster or incoherent
I’m not a fan of all their covers to their albums but overall it was a decent album. I can find the voice of the lead singer to get annoying pretty quickly. Where is my mind is a great song but just like previously stated I find Black Francis to be a pain and that is why covers of that song are way better than it.
The problem was the falsetto. The style wasn’t my favorite but it was executed well and was decent
Her voice started to pinch a nerve not hit it because it was tolerable
Like the Beach Boys but not to the same degree
Very high pitch and shrill. I didn’t like it and found it a bit annoying
I had heard of them before. The lyrics were meh along with the style
A very chill and calming album which was much needed because some of the past albums were a pain to listen to, but this was enjoyable.
It was a bit weird lyrically but still fun and enjoyable to listen to
Not of a fan of any of it
It was alright not great and I’m not a big 70’s guy but it was decent overall
I enjoy Metallica but not adore it. This album encompasses all of their high abilities of playing guitar great, singing great, and having great lyrics.
Such a classic album that is up there for best album of all time
I’m not a big fan of him to begin with and still don’t understand how Apple Music has Blonde in top 5 albums of all time
Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to long
Decent. It was enjoyable but not outstanding.
It’s a 1 because it was way too long and ended up being very pointless. It was not good at all.
Overall it’s alright but come on you don’t need to have the final song be 11 minutes cut it into separate songs
I’m not fluent in German which it being in German did not make me angry instead the long songs were a bit painful to listen to.
It was her voice that lifted it up to a 4 because it was decent in general
Surprisingly good didn’t know a lot about them but the lead singer had a solid voice
I’m not a big metal guy but some of the songs were tolerable
I understand the hate for it being long but just at least acknowledge that the skill that they all possess is ridiculously good.
Somewhat interesting
It was decent. I hadn’t listened to them before and they did not blow me away for better or for worse
Absolutely pointless
I’m not much of a blues guy but he was very good and entertaining
I’m a Killers fan and like this a lot and I do think it’s interesting how they thought it was going to be their last but in hindsight they were wrong
As a mediocre/not professional pianist I could do here than this crap
Surprisingly good. In general, I’m not a big fan of his voice but it was decent on this album
Waste of time and in general not good
I’m not a big fan of him but he did a good enough job to stay at a 3
It might not be their best but it is still really good
Didn’t knock my socks off but decent
It felt too repetitive
I would say possibly a 1.5. The language was understandable considering it was a rap/hip hop but the lyrics just didn’t seem to work or be decent in general
Solid from top to bottom. It was certainly better than other 70s music and the songs are good enough to be played also as a side note
Solid from top to bottom a bit of a surprise to me
The music was good but it was tooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo long
Very solid. They are good enough to the point that you don’t realize they are from California
Wonderful band with a wonderful album
I’m not much of a soul guy so it was a bit surprising how pleasant it was
Very well structured album and her voice is amazing
Pretty solid didn’t know what to expect
Preferably a couple less songs but overall 👍🏼
Talking can be useful in songs or an album but it wasn’t here
Didn’t know what to expect but was impressed with them and some of their covers
Classic hard not to give it a 5
Not thrilled or surprised by it but it was decent
What a pitiful attempt at “Jamaican” music by a SCOTTISH band. Idiots for thinking that it would work out well
Yeah no beating up pregnant women just ain’t right
Never heard of Santana before and was impressed with the style and instrumentals
I partially understand the hate but as someone who has listened to Coldplay most of my life I enjoyed it a lot
Doesn’t move me at all. My life goals or worldview hasn’t changed a rather mediocre album
Not the best to put it into three words
It lacked something. I’m not sure if it was vibes but there was something not present
Such an iconic and important album in the history of music and rock
Great nice soothing voice and relaxing album
I saw some say what I am about to say which is NOPE
Not the most uplifting album
Solid all around. I don’t think that I have listened to this album before but it was pretty good
Don’t believe the hype about them
All I can think of is the Seinfeld episode that has Witchy Woman in it
I found his voice to sound like Third Eye Blind’s lead singer. It was melancholic the entire way which is good in the sense that the same theme was stuck to in this album.
I have listened to the before and absolutely love this
Not a punk guy but they packed a punch in some of their songs
Great album. I had heard his music before and it’s solid so this album just proved again that he’s a great artist
Wasn’t earth shattering and could have been shorter
Special but not in a good way
I have heard some of their stuff before and thought they were okay but they were better than that and my rash judgment was proven wrong
Have to at least respect the skill that they have
Definitely should have been shorter to stop the pain that it was
Can’t say anything lower because I am a fan
Police fan but it’s decent overall and beginning of a great band
Main complaint is the length and it’s meh
His voice got a bit annoying
You have to respect the skill that they have and solid songs overall
Why?
It was meh nothing amazing it wasn’t groundbreaking
I can be tolerable of cursing when it’s occasional but due to the amount of cursing everything lost its meaning. Using same words over and over again didn’t make the album better
Only big drawback was the 13-15 minute song
A legend with some fantastic songs
First song was decent but then as time progressed everything got odder and not necessarily confusing but disjointed
Didn’t knock my socks off
I don’t believe the hype if there is any
The genre you look for everyday: Irish Punk which is decent
Interesting to say the least which is what I will do
This isn’t an ugh why is it on here. It is more of why would someone try Goth Rock
He sounded alright better than what people want you to think
Surprisingly it seemed very restrained (not all metal) and just was fun from beginning to the end
They definitely deserve the hype and praise that they get
Too repetitive
Decent not too bad or too good. It is right in the middle
Not a big,big Paul Simon fan but he sounded very good in this album
It was her voice that was the reason for this
Banger of an album by a banger of a band
Felt too repetitive
Not knock your socks off or this is awful. It’s in the middle
A real head scratcher
I didn’t realize that they did some of these songs which were fantastic
Not offensive but not good
I have heard several of his songs prior and all of them were great except the Coconut song which felt a bit out there.
While some of the songs felt repetitive, it was full of intriguing lyrics
Seemed to be yelling at some parts of the album
Solid blues music. I am not a Blues person but it was solid
A great band with a great funky rap style
Result of bad combination of styles
Definitely not hip
Oh you know it’s just a little bit long of an album. If it was an hour long, it could be viewed in a more positive light. Lyrics were decent but 69 songs is crazy
Not much of a jazz guy but it was simple and a pleasant listen
It was definitely interesting and provided unique sounds
I understand the statements of it dragging along which is true. With that being said, it was decent. The lyrics when sung were a bit out there. It was alright not amazing but not bad
We don’t need the same genre 100+ times
I still feel bad for every album since the first one I had in which I gave it a one star. The piano was very good and carried the album
If you view it as a whole album it may not be strong collectively because the songs were singles. That meaning that each song had its own style and already had its own vibe prior to it being put together
This is an awful spin off from a band. Go back to Blur (does happen).
I like harmony but it felt overused
A great album from the 80s that has more than just 2 popular songs
I understand why people say every song sounds the same which is fair. However when you listen to them as a child, it sticks with you, and you enjoy it more.
I felt it was repetitive or a I was just becoming more dazed and tired due to this album
Meh
I don’t understand the focus and love of Wuh Tan Clan. I didn’t like this at all
I didn’t know much about him. He certainly helped blues and didn’t hurt it because that can happen in certain genres
I’m indifferent about this
His voice is still dislikable
I was glad that it was short and sweet
Let’s just say I am not a Brit pop fan
I do think it should have been shorter
I need explanation for why this is on the list
Such a legend. It was a very soothing and calming album
It is a top 100 album of all time
His words are pointless
I think the witch song was a bit quirky. Starting off with your most famous song can either really help your album or just cause the rest to be a letdown which is what happened here.
Great voice and a short album. Sign me up.
I appreciate the instrumentals
They have BNL vibes but can provide their own unique flavor at the same time. I know BNL came after them.
Not the best not the worst. She fits right in the middle.
Repeat Repeat Repeat Duplicate Duplication Reduplication And there is a small summary of it.
It felt a bit too long and repeated the same chords the entire album
Great album to kick off his career
A very familiar album and is miles better than Prince
They all sound familiar or are synonyms of each other
Nice voice
I certainly ain’t happy
There’s certainly better music out there…
Typical meh album
It felt endless and abysmal
I respect them and like them a lot and I would say it would be a 4 but in respect to Ozzy it will be 5
A classic 80s album by the Boss
Could it have been shorter? Yes however it was somewhat enjoyable
Deserves to be on the list. It was great/fantastic
Her voice just became worse over time. I don’t really want to listen to a chain smoker sing
Really good covers
One word: meh
Not my choice of music but it was ok
I wasn’t expecting to like this. There was a familiarity regarding it. I hadn’t listened to her prior. There was a calmness to it
Shockingly good
Too long and just painful
There was a sense of familiarity to it which made it sound better and more unique
I wish I knew Portuguese
It lacked something
Good type of quirkiness
An interesting lead vocalist
I know it’s 70s but really do we need even more punk/brit pop. I have had enough of brit pop
As a fan, this was their album that sprung them into fame and acclaim. It was a well rounded, well composed album
This just didn’t feel or sound/seem right.
She was certainly better than Kid Rock
We don’t need so many punk albums
The Boss didn’t disappoint in this album
Very well executed
I feel and think I am a bit baffled by this is on the list because it isn’t in the top 1000
Surprised yet impressed at the same time
Why the consistent brit pop. They started off decently but then it just faded hard
I didn’t feel like dancing
A tad bit long but was surprised by how good it was
Meh
I don’t know why I like it, but I do. That’s an oxymoron, but it’s true
I was not blown away, but I was impressed
It deserves to be on the list even though I don’t like it
Why is it that I always forget how long American Pie is
Should have been shorter and condensed down
I always found Back to Black to be a bit depressing but thankfully this wasn’t depressing but it seemed toxic
Who would have thought that the instrumentals would carry the album? Not me
Duran Duran is a solid band. I don’t have anything else to say
There’s a reason why they are a 1 hit wonder
There was something pleasant about it
It seems most times that I listen to Elvis Costello the songs get stuck in my head
A mix of songs that worked surprisingly well
I highly respect U2 while this may not be their best it still was very good
Not their best but still really good
Very surprised and it was a wonderful listen
It was just pitiful and a major letdown
She is extremely talented and deserves to be recognized as one of the best singers or best vocal range of all time
I’v hear better DJ/EDM albums
Only real complaint is his shrillness on some songs
It shouldn’t be on the list; however, it sounds meh not bad not good just right in the middle
I respect the first song and explaining it; however, I didn’t like it.
Let me guess they got on here because they are British
Meh synth
I forgot that they existed and were decent
Just in the middle nothing bad or great
There’s a reason why you know a couple songs on this album because the rest aren’t that good
Becoming a bigger fan of him but this was not his prime music but it was still solid
Pretty bland and just lacking different varieties in their album
Yet again another boring album
Had its ups and downs
Such an intriguing band with such an intriguing album
Why do we have so many meh albums
It was alright
Bland and lacking solid vocals
I didn’t think they were good, but they proved me wrong
Epic name with epic jazz music
He did alright
Solid harmony
How was it? It was alright but it did have influence on future important bands
I’m fairly impressed. I am not a big Paul fan but it was solid and enjoyable
Solid from start to finish end of story
Ah yes the best genre out there, punk.
It had its moments. I was surprised to see that it came out in the late 70s because it sounded like crappy 80s synth
Club music not the best not the worst
Ummm…
Was his voice the not best but something kept it at a 3
Wish it was a tad shorter but it also is not his best
No
I understand the guitar skill but come on we are all not Eddie Vedder or need to pretend to be him
Meh
A solid band that has had a terrible break up
I’m confused
Good covers and probably could cut down on number of songs
How can you not like or respect him
Disappointed
I wish I knew French and it was solid all around
Is it long? Yes, but his skill off sets it.
I don’t have any thoughts
I wish it was just a bit shorter
Don’t believe the hype (just kidding). It is really good
A bit out there, just a bit
Zzzzzzz is what I felt. It became boring
Gladly give it this after all the garbage I have listened to in the past week(s)
Solid despite not being a big fan of him
Got a pop in it
Lost interest
It is mediocre. I don’t think it deserves the hate/disdain it gets
For a 1st album, it is a banger.
Ummmmmm
Everyone listen close. I am going to talk soft for a lot of the song
Always impressed no matter what he does
They have done better than this
I wish I knew Spanish because that was really cool and interesting to listen to
A bit quirky and confusing
A yes a band that is always confusing and slightly annoying
Was this #1 on the list? No, but it was decent
The Boss has some positives and negatives in albums but this one is one of his better ones
Enjoyable but long, too long
Every time I listen to them I think okay that’s a step forward with one song but then the next song is a step back. They are mediocre
I may not know enough music but I do not see/hear their influence
What kept it interesting was the language
Yikes, there’s a reason I know only one of their songs
Meshed together
At least it wasn’t an hour long
Do you really need to cover several songs
Bleh that sucked
I do not know if they have talent because of the repetition. Musical talent is be able to/ fluent in either and instrument or song. Hitting the same button for a sample is not talent. If I were to walk in some big city and ask someone if they can hit a button to start a sample, they would say I can do that which displays that anyone can do it meaning THEY HAVE NO TALENT. To quote Willy Wonka, “you loose, good day sir” except they are so bad I would not even say sir. Not that difficult to give it the rating I have.
There was some familiarity to it that made it even better
Rather baffling
They didn’t rip it up in my book
It isn’t their best which begs the question why are some of the best albums by great artists not on here
I had only listened to Sweet Dreams and the rest of the songs were let downs
Who thought British rap was a good thing
It’s just the same as all of their other albums
I understand the elevator point but there is some good elevator music which this is
While I may forget it, it is good forgettable music
There was a certain panache to it that made it more intriguing than recent albums
Not his best at all
I will forget about this album in a couple weeks
Why the whining
It seemed redundant. I know how to spell girlfriend so why did you try to
I am pleased that it was enjoyable from beginning to end
A bit too long/bland
Pretty solid and enjoyable. It was a good change of pace
Why, why, why. This was utterly stupid
Pro: short album Con: turned into nothing
Certainly way better albums that came out in 2018. This is a disgrace to the albums that didn’t make the list such as Foo Fighters (they have 1) or Kings of Leon or Michael Buble
It didn’t trip my trigger
He’s alright
I wasn’t blown away
Ah the classic womanizer rap just my favorite
Very chill and somewhat low key
Surprisingly good jazz album that makes you enjoy the jazz genre
There was something relaxing about it
Probably forgettable and it was meh
I didn’t wake up today thinking ah today is the day I became psychotic and mad
It dragged on but was solid musically
I respect she wrote it all on her own and it was solid
I already know cars are cars
It all became mumble jumble
Really why
Start to blur together
It blended together as one
I hadn’t heard or recognized their songs and they were rather good
Tick tock tick tock 10 minute songs can work but 2 of then is pushing it
I have heard waaaaaaaaay better
I enjoy listening to foreign music but this wasn’t a good album
A bit confuzling
It had its highs and lows
I was glad I was already home (track 10) because this was a bit frustrating and would not have been fun to listen to in a car
I’m not moved emotionally by this
3 hours is a big problem. I didn’t listen to all of it because it lasts 12% of the day
Is it good? Yes Should it be on the list? Probably not
As a white man, we do not need to have the more recent albums on here be white girl music which is the worst kind of pop music
He’s getting a 4 because the first album we got wasn’t worthy of a 1 and I regret giving it a 1
It blended together
Not my type of DJ
In this case, the instruments while great were overshadowed by the vocals
There was something about this that was really good and interesting
For a first album this is very good
It was enjoyable and a pleasant feel good album
While it is repetitive, it is very chill and simple
A bit of a bummer and lame pointless album
Do I understand why they are on the list? Yes Are they good? Absolutely no
For a first album, it was very solid and pleasant. There is a familiarity to it
It was lacking tempo
It was very enjoyable and put me in a jolly mood
Everything blurred together
I understand why she is on her; however, this is classic white girl music (we know that genre is awful)
I could do better which I should not say about an album that is “worthy” of such a list like this
Sounds like a 5 year old playing with garage band
I just don’t
After hearing something bad, this really brightened the spirits
It had its moments
The guitar(s) carried the album and made it an enjoyable listen
It all became the same and her voice became bland/plain as the album progressed
I do side on the thought group that a 13/14yr old did this. Kim was a head scratcher and I wasn’t surprised or shocked by the album because the first song made the rest of the album predictable
Very soothing and calming album. A good change of pace
I almost gave up on this due to length
This isn’t their best work by a mile
Not good
Do they have better albums? Sure but this is a album that deserves a little more love
It was decent and did drag on towards the end
I too respect Stevie Wonder but I would not sing about 1 guy for a 6 minute song
Yet again a good not great album
Beck always finds a way to impress me
Turned bland
While not his best work, it is still a banger of an album
A disappointment
Meh meh meh
Turned into nothing
He’s solid in this album but he doesn’t have the best of vioces
Does she live up to the hype? No but she still is a solid artist
Excellent guitar skills which carried this album
It was lacking and a bit boring towards the end
I still don’t like east west rap rivalry
It was good. I wasn’t disgusted at all
Haters are wrong this is dental office music it’s enjoyable and great from the beginning to end
Background background background
Only a tad bit off key
I have heard better
It was a change of pace but not in a good way. I understand why it’s on the list
Not the best
Such a great album by a great artist
Another great band with a fantastic album
It was a bland tasteless and annoying album
Brutal “soundtrack” it just stunk
Pretty good and I was surprised to know that they wrote/performed California Dreamin
It was all over the place which was deliberate yet the songs fell flat and were boring
I learned why disco died a long time ago
Felt repetitive and overall strange
It was so loud and utter rubbish-I could do better
It just didn’t sound right
He has way better albums
You know what you are going to get
Many men is alright and the album isn’t great
The disdain for him is understandable but not warranted
Was a bit too repetitive but a decent album
Could have been shorter
