Everytime Coldplay comes up I try to clear my mind and give them the benefit of the doubt. This is a perfectly listenable album. The first song actually starts quite nicely. I understand that Yellow was a huge hit. I get how people can like Coldplay. I just dont like Chris Martin's voice. When I hear him sing I want to punch him in the throat so that I don't have to listen to him sing anymore. For me this is a 2.5. I will round it up because it is probably not as bad as it sounds to me.

Really great album both musically and lyrically. Interesting lyrical themes and a deep layering in the instrumentation. Some really great tracks here too. This is a classic album for me. Waffling on a 4 or a 5. Going to say the 5 side of a 4.5.

Some nice sounds and many of the songs couls easily fit on the playlists I listen to. However, I felt that a lot of the songs gave of an air of self importance, bordering on arrogance that the quiality of the product didn't warrant. I dodnt think this one is for me. 2.5 but will round up to 3.

Musically interesing and energetic. There is a vague familiarity to a lot of the songs. Not in the sense that I have heard them before, but rather that they are like songs I have heard before. I enjoyed the music more than the vocals and the lyrics but there was a little something here. 3.5.
