I liked this way more than I was expecting to. In fact I listened to the album twice. It was great for a spin workout. 7.5/10

I can appreciate that this is probably a great album loved by many. But I did not love it.

Not my vibe. Would have been good to have on in the background but not to actually listen to. Didn’t have the same catch or hook as his most popular songs. Can appreciate his artistry

All around great album with a good mix of up tempo songs and amazing ballads. Vienna is a perfect song.

Some fun songs. Had never listened to ZZ Top before and I liked it more than anticipated. But wouldn’t seek it out.

The bops are the boppiest but the flops are the floppiest.

Starts of strong with dirty boots which was the standout for me. Tunic is a great remembrance. Overall I thought it was good just not my thing.

I really enjoyed the first half of the album with sound and vision and be my wife being the obvi standouts. The second half was more experimental and not to my taste as much.

I actually enjoyed this! I loved that while overall it was Irish punk rock, they brought in influence that sounded like other genres like Latin. Would listen again but not regularly.

Hey, that’s no way to say goodbye was my fav on this album. Overall it’s a good album but I like it less than I want to if that makes sense… it’s a bit one note but there’s no denying it’s great songwriting and imagery. Glad I listened but feels kinda meh.

Into my arms was fine and the rest was just very blah. Sometimes terribly boring. Some cringe lyrics. The end of the album was hard to get through. Glad it’s over.

Staring at the sun is so so good. Was loving the first half of the album. It felt cohesive yet still dark and interesting. And then I got lost in the second half. But I will listen to staring at the sun for the rest of my life.

I’m too fat to go outside during the day. But I’ll stay home with you if you don’t talk about how small your hands are. Honestly would not relist but I’m glad I listened. It did make me laugh sometimes.

Really loved Pick up your feelings. It’s a good album but for how recent it is I don’t know if it’s going to be a classic?

It’s hard to ignore how catchy some of his verses and songs are. But a lot of the time I was thinking if I would be ok if my kids listened to this? Or at least not while they’re in high school? I don’t know. Is it truly satirical? Who knows. Overall, can’t ignore a good chorus or hook. But very homophobic and “uncomfortable”.

Take it easy is such a windows down, driving the back roads song. I will never not love it. Peaceful easy feeling is also a great listen. I could not tell you another song on here and I felt neutral about them. So meh.

Blue orchid is the clear standout. Some of the songs that are super stripped down and don’t have the rock feel are not my fav. Overall enjoyed listening!

I was expecting to be blown away… but mostly felt neutral. Bluebird was my favorite of the album followed by Mr soul. I guess that goes with everyone else’s thoughts about this album lol. Overall I expected a bit more since I love this genre and era of music.

Liked this more than I thought I would since I was bored by astral projections. I do hate HATE and it stoned me. But caravan and into the mystic make up for it.

I want to be cool and like David Bowie… but I just can’t get into it. It actually started really well with watch that man. And I thought that I’d like the whole album. But then it got more experimental and nothing flowed for me. I just couldn’t get into it. Call me a basic bitch I guess.

I can remember my dad trying to make me listen to this album when I was a teenager. All I wanted then was dashboard confessional. So I’m glad I waited to listen to this lol so I can actually appreciate it. Do all the songs blend together tune wise? Yes. But his voice is energetic and passionate. It sounds like they’re giving everything to this album and I love it.

Today is the greatest day I’ve ever known. I loved this album actually. Great moody vibes. While Cortana vocals seem to be a point of contention between reviewers, I find them to add to the overall vibe and draw you into each song. So I like this album. Today is my standout.

I can’t remember anything about this album

Reminiscent of Kate Bush, but more piano forward. Her voice is beautiful and very unusual which I like, but I didn’t always appreciate her lyricism. My favorite was a tear in hand. I’d listen again, but it wasn’t my favorite.

The intro (be) was my favorite track but I enjoyed a lot of it. Rap and a lot of music in general can feel misogynistic a lot of times. And this didn’t feel as demeaning when I listened to it. I loved the rhythm of it

This album was so close to being a four or five star for me. It just hinged into the slightly too experimental instrumentation, but I do love the song I wish I was skinny.

There’s no denying what a power house Adele is vocally. This album can be a bit one note but there are some real standouts on this album. Send my love, river Lea and sweetest devotion were my standouts. I had only heard Adele’s biggest hits so I enjoyed listening to a whole album.

This is like Captain beefheart but more mainstream? It gets more experimental and unhinged as the album progresses. While this album was probably way ahead of its time, my ears are not huge fans.

How did this album start off so Strong and then go seemingly nowhere three stars for a strong start and interesting Lyrics.

Surprise of the year for me. I loved this. Obviously I was obligated to like “American idiot” as a “misunderstood” eighth grader trying to play into a narrative of being cool. In reality, I don’t think I even listened to the whole album when I was a kid pretending to like this to seem cool. But as an adult woman, I was surprised that I actually loved the whole album. Maybe I’m still trying to be cool? Or maybe I just don’t care what people think of me anymore and like what I like because I fucking like it. So Green Day and Taylor swift and Janelle Monet, here I am. I love you all.

The addition of the SFSO, just enchanted the depth of the songs and I enjoyed it way more than a typical Metallica album. Glad I’ve listened. Maybe I’ll revisit call of Ktulu.

This is above a three for me but not quite a four. Liked it more than I thought I would. The album art is trash.

Opening track took me too long to realize it’s sampling I can’t help falling in love with you. Even tho it’s in the name. Ugh I hate giving album reviews a 3… it’s a mix of things I never want to hear again but am glad I’ve experienced and things I like enough to have on rotation but didn’t knock my socks off. But I think this is where this album goes for me. It’s very long and a bit pretentious. But there are some beautiful moments that I enjoyed.

I love his voice but I’m not a huge prince fan. Great production.

The build up to born to run is so energetic and fun. Couldn’t help but smile listening. This is up there for me even if I think Bruce is a bit of a warbler. But he has great story telling and melodies. The tracks keep you guessing and the album stays strong and never gets boring.

It’s enjoyable. Highway to hell is a classic. But I can’t lie, all the songs are very similar. Which isn’t always a bad thing. But it did get a bit monotonous.

I have a coworker who love The Bee Gees and Andy gibb. She always calls out last minute doubling my work load. I can’t wait to tell her I listened to this whole album and was underwhelmed by this knockoff Beatles album with nonsensical lyrics.

Stunning riffs in this. Below the queen is dead for me. But still a stellar album in my mind. Morrisey tends to be extra mumbly mumbly in this tho. Maybe that adds to the aesthetic. Maybe I’d hate it if I could fully understand what was coming out of his racist mouth. Idk.

Fun but very old school

I thought I had never heard any super grass but that was a lie. “Alright” is frequently on rotation in my favorite Sonos stations. Glad to have heard more. Fun and upbeat. Great rhythms. Would be so fun to see live.

What a poignant album to get on Wednesday with the US staring down another trump presidency. Many more will have to suffer. Don’t ask me why. The one Marley album that will not remind me not to worry and be happy. Despite the depression and this kinda adding to the melancholy of the day, this is an astounding album. Adds so much interest to a genre I normally find a bit one tone.

I was concerned since I’m not normally a jazz girl but I liked this more than most! Surprised!

Rap is probably my second least loved genre. This surprised me. Compared with other albums on this list from the 90s, this was different with smooth rhythms and talented complex versus. Not just bragging how he’s better than everyone (although there was some of that). Funky for you was my favorite.

I wish that I had been alive when the Beatles were peaking because I want to experience first hand how groundbreaking their music contributions are. I grew up with all of their albums, so while I love them, I can’t appreciate how much of an impact these albums must have had on the music industry and culture at large. Not my fav of their albums but some absolute treasures.

It’s hard to give this a 4… but this is bottom of their discography for me. Despite its importance and being called the Beatles turning point… I’m not a music critic just a basic bitch who lives some good bubblegum pop. But also appreciates some experimental folk rock. So 4 it is.

An hour of this was too much. My favorite track was I saw an angel. It was the least reminiscent of catholic hymns and also the last track.

Very catchy beats. Was a fun change of pace from what I’d normally listen to. More background music to me tho. Maybe a fast walk soundtrack lol
