Supermassive black hole will forever conjure the twilight baseball scene to my mind. But starlight and knights of Cydonia are also amazing. Enjoyed more than I thought. Had never really listened to muse before. But maybe I will again?

I know this is groundbreaking. There are clearly great moments and aspects. But I have trouble listening to so much misogyny and violence.

I can appreciate that this is probably a great album loved by many. But I did not love it.
Prince
2/5
Not my vibe. Would have been good to have on in the background but not to actually listen to. Didn’t have the same catch or hook as his most popular songs. Can appreciate his artistry
AC/DC

It’s a classic rock album for a reason.
Billy Joel

All around great album with a good mix of up tempo songs and amazing ballads. Vienna is a perfect song.

Some fun songs. Had never listened to ZZ Top before and I liked it more than anticipated. But wouldn’t seek it out.

Fine. Obviously running up that hill hits. But others left something to be desired. Irish undertones/melodies and influence were interesting and I liked that part
The Disposable Heroes Of Hiphoprisy
3/5
I liked this more than anticipated. Satanic reverses was the standout for me. Wild that this came out in 1991 and these are all still huge topics of discussion.
Sonic Youth
3/5
Starts of strong with dirty boots which was the standout for me. Tunic is a great remembrance. Overall I thought it was good just not my thing.
Funkadelic
3/5
The Flaming Lips
3/5
Very mellow. Great chilling out music
Suzanne Vega

Like slam poetry music. Very slow and wasn’t my vibe. She has a great voice tho when she’s actually singing. Reminded me a bit of jewel but the lyrics weren’t as impactful.

David Bowie

I really enjoyed the first half of the album with sound and vision and be my wife being the obvi standouts. The second half was more experimental and not to my taste as much.
The Stooges
3/5
George Harrison
4/5
Let it down and my sweet lord are clear standouts. Always a good listen
Van Morrison
3/5
Decent. The softer instrumentals in the background give dimension to singing and lyrics that can sometimes feel unfinished. Liked it but not over the moon
Elvis Presley
3/5
Fun. Glad I listened to a full Elvis album. But I think I’ll just stick with his greatest hits from now on lol
Stevie Wonder
4/5
What if you left Stevie wonder on the floor of that bathroom? Oh we wouldn’t. We love Stevie wonder
The Pogues
3/5
I actually enjoyed this! I loved that while overall it was Irish punk rock, they brought in influence that sounded like other genres like Latin. Would listen again but not regularly.
Love
4/5
A house is not a motel is a standout for me. But overall really enjoyed and will add to my rotation of things to listen to!
Terence Trent D'Arby
3/5
Wishing well was great, love the arrangement and his voice. To me, it was a better pop album than sign’o the times…
Simon & Garfunkel
5/5
Would listen again and again. Love the whole album
Les Rythmes Digitales
3/5
Wouldn’t seek it out but don’t hate it. Some of it’s kinda fun and other songs were way just boring
Tears For Fears
3/5
Head over heels is the stand out for me. Very cohesive as an album. Overall good. Not 100% my vibe.
MC Solaar
3/5
Good beats and rhythm. Enjoyed overall.
Sam Cooke
4/5
This was such a fun listen. I love Sam cookes voice. Bring it on home to me was my standout.
Fishbone
3/5
Mj Cole
3/5
Fun but got a little repetitive for me
The Who
4/5
It’s only teenage wastelaaaand. Also really liked the song is over
Manu Chao
3/5
Bong bon was my favorite. Overall I really liked the album even tho it is not similar to my usual genres. Very fun. Would not have guessed the French/spanish influence. Liked the sound bites of his surroundings cut into the songs.
Leonard Cohen
3/5
Hey, that’s no way to say goodbye was my fav on this album. Overall it’s a good album but I like it less than I want to if that makes sense… it’s a bit one note but there’s no denying it’s great songwriting and imagery. Glad I listened but feels kinda meh.
Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
2/5
Into my arms was fine and the rest was just very blah. Sometimes terribly boring. Some cringe lyrics. The end of the album was hard to get through. Glad it’s over.
De La Soul
3/5
Eye know is the clear standout. A little soap cracked me up. A fun enjoyable listen. Clever
Black Flag
2/5
First song was pretty good and it went downhill from there.
Frankie Goes To Hollywood
2/5
I just felt ehh. It’s not bad. But I wouldn’t say it’s good…
The Velvet Underground
4/5
What goes on and some kinda love were my favs. Murder mystery was a bit too out there for me but I loved the rest of the album and it was weird in a good way?
TV On The Radio
3/5
Staring at the sun is so so good. Was loving the first half of the album. It felt cohesive yet still dark and interesting. And then I got lost in the second half. But I will listen to staring at the sun for the rest of my life.
Captain Beefheart & His Magic Band
3/5
I’m too fat to go outside during the day. But I’ll stay home with you if you don’t talk about how small your hands are. Honestly would not relist but I’m glad I listened. It did make me laugh sometimes.
Belle & Sebastian
4/5
Excellent afternoon chill jam. Not too crazy. But solid
Stevie Wonder
4/5
This was a wonderful listen. Very classic and a joy from start to finish.
Jazmine Sullivan
3/5
Really loved Pick up your feelings. It’s a good album but for how recent it is I don’t know if it’s going to be a classic?
Eminem
3/5
It’s hard to ignore how catchy some of his verses and songs are. But a lot of the time I was thinking if I would be ok if my kids listened to this? Or at least not while they’re in high school? I don’t know. Is it truly satirical? Who knows. Overall, can’t ignore a good chorus or hook. But very homophobic and “uncomfortable”.
Eagles
3/5
Take it easy is such a windows down, driving the back roads song. I will never not love it. Peaceful easy feeling is also a great listen. I could not tell you another song on here and I felt neutral about them. So meh.
Patti Smith
4/5
Loves it. Raw and didn’t seem to have a lot of production. Gloria was a great intro to set the mood
Alanis Morissette
4/5
Right back to the 90s lol. Live and learn, head over feet, all I really want and you oughtta know are all bangers. The rest feels a bit like filler to me. And I’ve never really liked ironic lol
Rocket From The Crypt
2/5
At first I liked it but then it all started sounding the same. Very one note and therefor a boring album
The Strokes
5/5
This album is driving down pch with Leila in high school. Loved the whole thing. This is it, New York City cops, hard to explain. There’s not one song I don’t like on this album.
The White Stripes
3/5
Blue orchid is the clear standout. Some of the songs that are super stripped down and don’t have the rock feel are not my fav. Overall enjoyed listening!
Buffalo Springfield
3/5
I was expecting to be blown away… but mostly felt neutral. Bluebird was my favorite of the album followed by Mr soul. I guess that goes with everyone else’s thoughts about this album lol. Overall I expected a bit more since I love this genre and era of music.
Van Morrison
4/5
Liked this more than I thought I would since I was bored by astral projections.
I do hate HATE and it stoned me. But caravan and into the mystic make up for it.
David Bowie
2/5
I want to be cool and like David Bowie… but I just can’t get into it. It actually started really well with watch that man. And I thought that I’d like the whole album. But then it got more experimental and nothing flowed for me. I just couldn’t get into it. Call me a basic bitch I guess.
Ananda Shankar
5/5
Lorde
5/5
This album is art. I will always love it.
The Dave Brubeck Quartet
3/5
Take five is an iconic song. This is not my normal listening. But I love it for cooking or baking music!
Orbital
1/5
No thank you.
Germs
2/5
I couldn’t do the whole thing
Neil Young
3/5
It felt like pleasant chill background music to me. But no stand out songs or anything that really moved me. Just fine
The Isley Brothers
4/5
Who’s that lady?! lol I loved listening to this album. Fun upbeat. Amazing vocals.
G. Love & Special Sauce
2/5
I’d rather listen to Kevin G
Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young
4/5
Great album. Great vibe. Love this era
Muddy Waters
4/5
I can remember my dad trying to make me listen to this album when I was a teenager. All I wanted then was dashboard confessional. So I’m glad I waited to listen to this lol so I can actually appreciate it. Do all the songs blend together tune wise? Yes. But his voice is energetic and passionate. It sounds like they’re giving everything to this album and I love it.
The Smashing Pumpkins
4/5
Today is the greatest day I’ve ever known. I loved this album actually. Great moody vibes. While Cortana vocals seem to be a point of contention between reviewers, I find them to add to the overall vibe and draw you into each song. So I like this album. Today is my standout.
CHVRCHES
4/5
Loved this when it came out and I still do.
Depeche Mode
3/5
I knew what I was getting. My standout is policy of truth. Overall, I like Depeche Mode but I get bored. The whole album is very similar.
Mariah Carey
3/5
If it wasn’t for her vocals, I would have rated this album a 2. The lyrics were so basic, everything sounded very similar. Mariah is obviously insanely talented and I was expecting a lot from this album and was stunned at how bland it was
Gram Parsons
4/5
Without emmylou, I don’t think I would have liked this as much because the burrito brothers were meh for me. I loved this album. It had lots of fun upbeat songs like I can’t dance. But the slower songs were lovely too. I listened all the way through twice, so it’s pretty up there for me.
The Pogues
2/5
I don’t hate it, I liked “if I should fall from grace with god” better.
Frank Sinatra
3/5
Great upbeat songs for background music. All sounds the same
Primal Scream
2/5
Not my vibe. Also the sound quality was really bad.
Nanci Griffith
4/5
Maybe I’m becoming a country girl? Fly by night was my standout. Fun and fast paced. Loved her lyrics. This was a good listen.
Bob Marley & The Wailers
3/5
Pleasant listen. I’m not overly into reggae but it was enjoyable to listen to in the background. Standout: stir it up.
Coldcut
2/5
fIREHOSE
4/5
Understanding, in my mind are my favs on the album. Actually really enjoyed this lol. I listened twice through.
Sugar
3/5
Just fine.
R.E.M.
3/5
The album was very hit or miss for me. Some songs I really enjoyed and others I wanted to skip. Favs: pop song 89, orange crush
Sufjan Stevens
3/5
It’s an interesting album. Chicago is my fav on the album. Overall great arrangements but not something I’d listen to regularly
Parliament
3/5
Overall I enjoyed but the songs get very long where I’m ready for something new. But “we want the funk” will always be a banger.
Public Enemy
2/5
The Soft Boys
4/5
Positive vibrations was my favorite. But I loved the sound of the soft boys. Good listen.
Ramones
3/5
I overall like their sound but every song starts to blend together. But I wish I could have gone to a livw concert back in the day.
Wire
3/5
Quick album. I sometimes missed the transition between songs. Upbeat punk album.
Marvin Gaye
5/5
I love this album. The only problem is it’s too short.
Barry Adamson
2/5
My favorite was the man with the golden arm. Some of them felt boring? Wanted a little more.
Randy Newman
3/5
I don’t think I was listening close enough to get the nuance in his lyrics but I love his tonality and voice. Overall a good listen but doesn’t stand out to me.
Simon & Garfunkel
5/5
America was our first dance song. I love it. Top 10 song of all time for me. Fakin it, hazy shade of winter, Mrs Robinson… I don’t know how you could hate this album.
Massive Attack
2/5
I can’t remember anything about this album
Tori Amos
3/5
Reminiscent of Kate Bush, but more piano forward. Her voice is beautiful and very unusual which I like, but I didn’t always appreciate her lyricism. My favorite was a tear in hand. I’d listen again, but it wasn’t my favorite.
Def Leppard
2/5
Common
4/5
The intro (be) was my favorite track but I enjoyed a lot of it. Rap and a lot of music in general can feel misogynistic a lot of times. And this didn’t feel as demeaning when I listened to it. I loved the rhythm of it
The Boo Radleys
3/5
This album was so close to being a four or five star for me. It just hinged into the slightly too experimental instrumentation, but I do love the song I wish I was skinny.
Stereolab
2/5
Not for me.
Adele
4/5
There’s no denying what a power house Adele is vocally. This album can be a bit one note but there are some real standouts on this album. Send my love, river Lea and sweetest devotion were my standouts. I had only heard Adele’s biggest hits so I enjoyed listening to a whole album.
Ash
3/5
Would listen again. I liked the radio station it generated after the album best.
Eagles
4/5
Try and live again, new kid in town. Hotel california. This is the superior Eagles album
Marvin Gaye
2/5
Stevie Wonder
4/5
Sir duke, isn’t she lovely, I wish, pastime paradise. Interesting, diverse, fun album. Love
4/5
Supermassive black hole will forever conjure the twilight baseball scene to my mind. But starlight and knights of Cydonia are also amazing. Enjoyed more than I thought. Had never really listened to muse before. But maybe I will again?
Van Morrison
3/5
Give me something new.
The Cure
4/5
Franz Ferdinand
4/5
A night at the matinee is my fav. This album also has some nostalgia factor for me.
The Mothers Of Invention
3/5
This is like Captain beefheart but more mainstream? It gets more experimental and unhinged as the album progresses. While this album was probably way ahead of its time, my ears are not huge fans.
Aimee Mann
3/5
How did this album start off so Strong and then go seemingly nowhere three stars for a strong start and interesting Lyrics.
Green Day
5/5
Surprise of the year for me. I loved this. Obviously I was obligated to like “American idiot” as a “misunderstood” eighth grader trying to play into a narrative of being cool. In reality, I don’t think I even listened to the whole album when I was a kid pretending to like this to seem cool. But as an adult woman, I was surprised that I actually loved the whole album. Maybe I’m still trying to be cool? Or maybe I just don’t care what people think of me anymore and like what I like because I fucking like it. So Green Day and Taylor swift and Janelle Monet, here I am. I love you all.
Randy Newman
3/5
Hearing the hard n word really caught me off guard. It really is dinner party music that you can’t play at a dinner party. I actually love his voice. He has great lyricism but for some reason I just don’t really want to listen…
Eels
3/5
I remember being fascinated by this album cover when I was a little girl looking through my dad’s music collection. Enjoyed but not a top album for me.
Fatboy Slim
2/5
Sometimes catchy but too long. I couldn’t do the whole album.
Fela Kuti
4/5
So rhythmically pleasing. Overall a really enjoyable album. His bio was a good read as well
Barry Adamson
2/5
Film noir In album form, but also with creepy serial killer vibes not my thing had its moments.
The Doors

Stan Getz
4/5
I love this. Perfect for cooking or dinner party
Bonnie "Prince" Billy
3/5
Julian Cope
3/5
Neutral on it. Fine rock album
Sigur Rós
3/5
I hadn’t listened to this digit rod album before, I prefer their 2008 album which is less techno-esque. I did appreciate this album. It was interesting and moody.
The Lemonheads
5/5
Where has this album been my whole life?? It came out when I was born so it’s been here this whole time. Glad I’ve finally listened to it. I’m a lemon head. Also how can the same song be iconic twice? Mrs Robinson you’ve done it again.
Bob Dylan
4/5
Tangled up in blue is such a classic. This whole album is thoughtful and interesting. It’s a deep listen. While I wouldn’t listen to this for daily enjoyment, I can see what makes Dylan such a celebrated musician in this album. First Dylan album I’ve listened to
American Music Club
4/5
Had never heard of them before but I really enjoyed this album. Great vibe. Great for a long drive. Firefly was my favorite

Underworld
2/5
Lynyrd Skynyrd

The Temptations
5/5
Love the temptations and this album is absolutely amazing

1/5
This is terrible. Why is this on here?
Pulp
3/5
Rod Stewart
3/5
I only think of “do you think I’m sexy” when I think of rod stewart lol glad this was not what I went into it expecting. His voice is really unique and I actually appreciate it. But the album is mixed for me. Some great songs and some meh.
Sex Pistols
3/5
Best bit of trivia from this album Johnny rotten got his nickname because of his rotten teeth. Ya know. I really like anarchy in the uk. Obviously this album was influential yadda yadda. For me, Im glad I’ve listened and can move on
The Kinks
4/5
Picture book and big sky are my two favorites overall I really enjoyed this album even when it got a bit experimental for me.
PJ Harvey
2/5
Ravi Shankar
2/5
Snoop Dogg
2/5
Why are all these “groundbreaking” rap albums made at the expense of women. I’m just over it.
N.W.A.

I know this is groundbreaking. There are clearly great moments and aspects. But I have trouble listening to so much misogyny and violence.
Finley Quaye
1/5
Hole
4/5
Voilet and rock star are so good. I actually loved this album considering I went in blind only knowing Courtney love for her acting and public controversy. So this is a shock for me lol
Jack White
4/5
The Notorious B.I.G.
3/5
Anita Baker
2/5
Pleasant enough. Killer voice. Same ol love was my favorite from the album. But I’m glad it was a short album. Not much variation.
The Who
2/5
As many reviews have already said, why is there a live album on this list? I love the who, but I don’t need to hear them at a concert covering songs??
The Beach Boys
5/5
Sonic Youth
3/5
Sebadoh
2/5
The first song was so good. And then it just went a bit off the rails. Some parts were enjoyable but overall too experimental for me.
Bill Evans Trio
3/5
Jazzy jazz
Coldplay
4/5
Sparks and yellow
Kelela
2/5
Rufus Wainwright
3/5
So confusing track one was so interesting and I actually loved it, but I could not get a vibe from the rest of the album. Some really bright spots but also some really boring. He definitely has a great voice.
Leonard Cohen
1/5
Another leonard cohen?!? Jesus. This is the third one! Have mercy!
Carpenters
4/5
Nostalgia factor high for me on this album. This was the first album I can remember asking my mom to play for us in the car.
Femi Kuti
3/5
Overall upbeat and fun! Perfect for a sunny morning at home.
Neil Young
4/5
I am not normally a Neil young fan. There’s just something about his voice that bothers me… but I can’t not love this album. His voice works here and isn’t as annoying as on the beach. But I also think the writing is better here. This is definitely his OP
Britney Spears
3/5
The first 3 songs are straight fire. 5’s for sure. The rest of the album is actually hysterical and I couldn’t listen seriously. So I’ll give it a 3 overall from the strength of the first three.
Lightning Bolt
1/5
No thank you
The Smashing Pumpkins
3/5
This is a hard rate. Certain songs are so so good. But then getting through the full 2 hours felt like a lot… so I’m going right down the middle

Throbbing Gristle
2/5
Props for moxie and ingenuity. Probably will not listen again. But I guess I’m glad to have listened once?
Bob Dylan
3/5
Bob Dylan is to white men as Taylor swift is to millennial women.
Meat Loaf
3/5
Rock opera. I do love paradise by the dashboard light. The album was fun and bombastic. Wouldn’t listen to the whole thing again
Elvis Costello & The Attractions
3/5
The first half of the album I really enjoyed. But I hated human hands and pidgin English. So I guess neutral?
Pixies
4/5

Pleasant street was my favorite off this album. Overall it reminds me of a ren faire?
MGMT
4/5
Kids, youth, electric feel. Big nostalgia factor for me.
Metallica
3/5
This just went on a little long for me. At about the hour and a half mark, it all started to sound similar and I was struggling to keep listening. That being said, this is a really impressive album. The addition of the SFSO, just enchanted the depth of the songs and I enjoyed it way more than a typical Metallica album. Glad I’ve listened. Maybe I’ll revisit call of Ktulu.

Not for me.
Van Halen
3/5
Not my vibe. They’re talented but I’m not really into the 80s rock scene
B.B. King
3/5

Slayer

Tom Waits
2/5

I almost enjoyed this album? In the neighborhood is a weird sort of March lol.
Metallica
3/5
Elastica
3/5
Like a Brit rock pop? It’s good but short of great.
Belle & Sebastian
3/5
Nice for a slow fall day. Easy listen.
Boards of Canada

Like playing a low stakes video game
Bob Marley & The Wailers

4/5
It is amazing this came out in 74. I didn’t know what to expect but I enjoyed this album.
Al Green
4/5
Wonderful
Happy Mondays
4/5
Really fun album.
Missy Elliott
3/5
Her verse in 1,2 step hit harder than anything on this album. This had more of an r&b, soul vibe than the rap/hiphop I know missy for. Overall I enjoyed it but I don’t think it’s her biggest work.
Pere Ubu
2/5
The Smiths
5/5
Fiona Apple
2/5
Minutemen
2/5
Sometimes I’d be into it and other parts I could not stand. Like there’s a part that sounds like he’s trying to scat while imitating a ghost. Idk man.
R.E.M.
4/5
The fact that this is their debut album is mind blowing. I love this album.
Happy Mondays
2/5
I liked their other album more. This was fine.
Kendrick Lamar
3/5
Gene Clark

Tracy Chapman

The Roots

Sacrifice, the seed, thirsty. I actually really like this album but it’s not “fun”. Goes in a lot of directions
John Prine
4/5
For not being my fav genre, I actually really enjoyed this album. Great lyrics. Nice and mellow. Don’t know that I would listen on the reg, but I’m glad I’ve listened to it!
Pink Floyd
4/5
Elbow
5/5
Wow. This album kinda stunned me. Like coldplays best songs but better. Want to send this to Kevin for Christmas
Scott Walker
2/5
I can see why this is on here… and I love the quality of his voice and machismo. But overall, not for me. Best song was jackie
The Clash
3/5
Fine. Couldn’t really get into it
4/5
I thought I’d be giving this a 5 but so many of the tracks do not holdup to the brilliance around them. Lucy, and a day in the life are 2 of the best songs ever written imo. But the rest of the album doesn’t do as much for me.
Public Image Ltd.

Yes

The Rolling Stones
3/5
Ehh. Besides songs I already knew, nothing made me want to listen again.
Joan Armatrading

Love her voice and it was a pleasant listen but I wasn’t particularly moved or into it.
Kraftwerk
2/5
Nopeity nope for me
The Black Keys
3/5
The songs I liked from this album, I still like but it didn’t introduce anything new to me really. Good not great.
Bad Company
2/5
Bored. Slow dad rock.
Kings of Leon
3/5
The band album pics on Spotify had me howling. Started strong with red morning light. Then I got bored till California waiting. Fine
The Who
3/5
One of their weaker albums for me.
The Byrds
3/5
Dinosaur Jr.
3/5

Fan. How can you not like Jeremy spoke?
Haircut 100
4/5
This was really fun and upbeat. I enjoyed this album and would listen again.
Duke Ellington
3/5
Acknowledging that duke is an icon for a reason but I’m just not a jazzy girl.
Elliott Smith
3/5
Pleasant. Not life changing
Iron Maiden
3/5
This is above a three for me but not quite a four. Liked it more than I thought I would. The album art is trash.
Spiritualized
3/5
Opening track took me too long to realize it’s sampling I can’t help falling in love with you. Even tho it’s in the name.
Ugh I hate giving album reviews a 3… it’s a mix of things I never want to hear again but am glad I’ve experienced and things I like enough to have on rotation but didn’t knock my socks off. But I think this is where this album goes for me. It’s very long and a bit pretentious. But there are some beautiful moments that I enjoyed.
Prince
3/5
I love his voice but I’m not a huge prince fan. Great production.
Radiohead
2/5
Curtis Mayfield
3/5

The Prodigy
2/5
This is not for me.
The Triffids
3/5
Fine. Very 80s. Like classic 80s vibes
Johnny Cash
3/5
Not my fav cash album but he’s a legend. Distinctive voice and amazing he sounds so good so late into his career. Enjoyed.
D'Angelo
2/5
No thanks. Kinda boring .
Television
3/5
Bruce Springsteen
4/5
The build up to born to run is so energetic and fun. Couldn’t help but smile listening. This is up there for me even if I think Bruce is a bit of a warbler. But he has great story telling and melodies. The tracks keep you guessing and the album stays strong and never gets boring.
Isaac Hayes
3/5
AC/DC
3/5
It’s enjoyable. Highway to hell is a classic. But I can’t lie, all the songs are very similar. Which isn’t always a bad thing. But it did get a bit monotonous.
Bee Gees
2/5
I have a coworker who love The Bee Gees and Andy gibb. She always calls out last minute doubling my work load. I can’t wait to tell her I listened to this whole album and was underwhelmed by this knockoff Beatles album with nonsensical lyrics.
Led Zeppelin
4/5
The Smiths
4/5
Stunning riffs in this. Below the queen is dead for me. But still a stellar album in my mind. Morrisey tends to be extra mumbly mumbly in this tho. Maybe that adds to the aesthetic. Maybe I’d hate it if I could fully understand what was coming out of his racist mouth. Idk.
The Everly Brothers
3/5
Fun but very old school
Supergrass
3/5
I thought I had never heard any super grass but that was a lie. “Alright” is frequently on rotation in my favorite Sonos stations. Glad to have heard more. Fun and upbeat. Great rhythms. Would be so fun to see live.
Bob Marley & The Wailers
5/5
What a poignant album to get on Wednesday with the US staring down another trump presidency. Many more will have to suffer. Don’t ask me why.
The one Marley album that will not remind me not to worry and be happy. Despite the depression and this kinda adding to the melancholy of the day, this is an astounding album. Adds so much interest to a genre I normally find a bit one tone.
Thelonious Monk
3/5
I was concerned since I’m not normally a jazz girl but I liked this more than most! Surprised!
Afrika Bambaataa
3/5
Fun party beats.
Neil Young & Crazy Horse
4/5
I actually loved this album from Kermit. This is his best work.
The Bees
4/5
This was super nice! Glad to have discovered
XTC
3/5
Didn’t love it didn’t hate it. Reminds me of Cindy.
Ella Fitzgerald
3/5
Ok the first hour was lovely. How can you not love Ella? However. 3 hours is a bit much. And it’s Gershwin. It’s corny romantic cheese. In a good way. But there’s only so much you can listen to in a sitting. So Ella deserves a 5, always. But this 3 hour compilation is just toooooo muchhhhh
Digital Underground
2/5
Gahhh. My best friend in middle school loved the hungry dance. It was her favorite song. I’ve always hated it. My feeling have not changed.
Venom
2/5
This just isn’t for me.
Pet Shop Boys
1/5
It’s a no for me dog.
Nick Drake
5/5
This is my favorite of his album. Perfectly mellow and chill. Just a lovely listen.
Living Colour
3/5
Idk what I expected but this was fun.
Common
3/5
Rap is probably my second least loved genre. This surprised me. Compared with other albums on this list from the 90s, this was different with smooth rhythms and talented complex versus. Not just bragging how he’s better than everyone (although there was some of that). Funky for you was my favorite.
Skepta
2/5
Johnny Cash
5/5
Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark
3/5
Mike Ladd

Duran Duran
3/5
I’ve always loved the title track, Rio, so fun. And the. The album feels a bit one note for me. Nothing to write home about for me.

4/5
I think this is his best album.
Peter Gabriel
3/5
Sly & The Family Stone
4/5
Everyday people is so fun.
Richard Thompson
4/5
I love their voices together. Strong start and then ends in a more melancholic note. Would listen again!
Booker T. & The MG's
3/5
Title track “Green onions” is a classic. I knew it right away even tho I was unfamiliar with the rest of the album. Really fun album! Good listen
Kanye West
3/5
Well… if my favorite part is the sampling, does that mean I like the song lol? Wish Kanye hadn’t gone off the deep end. I do think he’s talented. So idk what to give this. Musically it’s fine, bound2 is a banger.
The Cure
3/5
Not my favorite cure album. It’s just fine. Not life changing
The Last Shadow Puppets
3/5
Liked calm like you. Love Alex turners voice. This was an interesting album! Would listen again but not enough to replace AM for me.
Bebel Gilberto
3/5
Great album for cooking! I wouldn’t just sit and listen to it again but I think it would be excellent in the background of dinner. Love her voice!
Beatles
4/5
I wish that I had been alive when the Beatles were peaking because I want to experience first hand how groundbreaking their music contributions are. I grew up with all of their albums, so while I love them, I can’t appreciate how much of an impact these albums must have had on the music industry and culture at large.
Not my fav of their albums but some absolute treasures.
My Bloody Valentine
4/5
This had good vibes. Would listen again.
Fats Domino
4/5
You can’t not enjoy Fats Domino.
Mott The Hoople
2/5
Sister Sledge
3/5
Funky fun classic
George Jones
3/5
Not offended by it but not in love. It was pleasant. Of the country out there it’s my fav kind.
Portishead
2/5
This is what the opera that senator palpatine was seeing in Star Wars sounded like.
DJ Shadow
2/5
If it’s all sampling… is it actually created by this artist? Interesting but can’t say I’d revisit.
Stephen Stills
3/5
Right now was one of my fav tracks on here. Feels like it would be a great album for a long road trip!
Gene Clark
3/5
Pleasant but not earth shattering.
Alice Cooper
4/5
Wtf. I had been putting this off because I am not a fan of the title track. The rest of the album totally caught me off guard. Blue Turk and Alma mater were my favorite tracks. I went in expecting very one note rock and was pleasantly surprised.
Jurassic 5
3/5
Slipknot
1/5
Stan Getz
3/5
Top tier sub jazz genre. I still wouldn’t just listen to it but it’s great background music

3/5
This is better than most hip hop and rap albums imo. Still not what I’d listen to regularly but glad to be exposed to it.
Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
1/5
LCD Soundsystem
2/5
Some lcd songs are so superb but this album dragged for me. Overall, I wouldn’t listen to the album again.

2/5
Dusty has a great voice but these are mostly covers. And I like the originals better.

Favorite tracks: Highschool lover, playground love
They start to sound the same to me as the album goes on.
Eerie and haunting in parts. Interesting background music but I would never just listen to it or want to put it on…
The Byrds
4/5
This album starts off strong for me and then just becomes mid. I do enjoy the album and it can join my rotation of pleasant albums to have on in the background.
Turbonegro
3/5
Lyrics were terrible but some catchy AF riffs and great guitar.
Beatles
4/5
It’s hard to give this a 4… but this is bottom of their discography for me. Despite its importance and being called the Beatles turning point… I’m not a music critic just a basic bitch who lives some good bubblegum pop. But also appreciates some experimental folk rock. So 4 it is.
Pentangle
1/5
An hour of this was too much. My favorite track was I saw an angel. It was the least reminiscent of catholic hymns and also the last track.
George Michael
2/5
He had a great voice but it doesn’t blend with this style for me? It just feels off? Idk. It’s probably me.
Keith Jarrett
2/5
Love piano and recognize skill but too jazzy for me
