I went in not expecting much but god damn this is a good album. Literally all bangers.

Pretty good album although some of the songs are too edgy for my taste. Although this is a 4, it is close to being a 5 but just misses the mark. This is because there are a few songs I would skip on next hearing. Overall, great stuff and a great introduction to Linkin Park

First two songs were its best and the rest was just good, nothing special. It was enjoyable, but I'm disappointed by the lack of eagles.

Moondance is one of my mom's favorite albums so I was excited to listen to it. The titular song is definitely the best in the album, but other songs like "Into the Mystic" and "Caravan" were great too. I also did not know "Crazy Love" originated in this album, which was cool. The rest of the album was a little more forgettable but due to the strong first half I'll give it a 4/5

Creepiest album cover of all time. Overall album was fine except for "Turn Blue" which was exceptionally awful.

It's kind of edgy but also some of the lyrics are pretty stupid. Guitar is pretty fire though. Although it's good, Black Sabbath is way better.

I went into this album expecting to hate it after reading the reviews. After listening to the first few songs I realized I must have a problem. This album is so much better then I thought it was going to be! Music was good with the goofiest vocals on top of them. Although not incredible, it is an underrated gem.

Not my thing.

I always love to find underrated gems and this is one of them. Although Stevie Wonder is incredibly popular, I've never heard of this album before. The opening song, "Smile Please", is a great chill start. The rest of the album doesn't slack either with songs like "Creepin'", "You Haven't Done Nothin'", "Bird of Beauty", and "Boogie on Reggae Woman". The ending track, "Please Don't Go" is a great finale that lets the album go out with a bang. From the vocals, to the instrumentals, and the harmonica solos in practically every song, this album is amazing. Easy 5/5

This album is difficult for me to rate. The instrumentals are all really good but the vocals are just not for me. I want to give it a 4 but no songs really stuck out to me as something I would listen to again. Unfortunately, this is a 3/5 for me.

This album intrigued me prior to listening as I've never listened to a Johnny Cash album. I immediately noticed that this album is mostly composed of covers as I saw my favorite song ever made, "In My Life". As I started too listen to the album I figured Johnny Cash's voice would annoy me, but it actually grew on me. Listening to the first few songs, I really enjoyed the calm nature of the songs. I finally got to, "In My Life" and really liked it. I liked how they shaped the song to fit Cash's style including the change to George Martin's piano solo. This goes for the rest of album as all songs are adapted well. Really solid, 4/5

Funk + Rock + Portuguese lyrics = A surprisingly great album! 4/5. Did not expect something like this to be on the list, but I'm glad it is.

If The Beatles, "Baby's In Black" was a whole album. Everything is played and performed well, just is very slow. Overall, mid album.

I cannot stand the beats in background. It feels like I'm listening to a bunch of electricity. If I wanted to listen to this album, I may as well go to the local science center and put my ear next to the electric ball. Vocals are not for me either. For me, this album has 0 redeeming qualities. It's been a while since I got a really good album. Although I've never heard of the album before, it pleasantly surprised me. The instruments and vocals make songs that are creative and come together nice. The drums are especially good. The only song that wasn't great was, "We Walk" but otherwise definitely a good album to hear. Glad I got to listen to this album, 4/5

Great album, definitely an underrated classic.

This album is basically the definition of rock. It's great and all the songs work. The only issue is that it is missing something. There's nothing that makes it stand out compared to other rock albums. Even with that, this is an essential album.

This album is solid. First half is really good and although the second half is weaker, it still has some great tracks. Would recommend and would probably listen to again.

I don't know why I never listened to this album before, but thank god I have now. All the songs have amazing guitars and drum performances. "Gimme Three Steps" is a groovy song that mixes its goofy premise seamlessly. "Free Bird" is the standout song from this album and it is iconic. That ending guitar solo is the perfect 4 minutes to end the album. If you've never listened to this, you definitely should (5/5)

Really interesting album with experimental music. The highlights were "Tc and Honey bear", "Chicken Bones", and "Queen of Denmark". Wasn't sure if I'd like this album, but glad I did.

Why are all the lyrics in this album so sus. Other than that, all the instruments are played really well and can't fault it. Still a 3/5 for just how weird these lyrics are.

It's alright but not for me.

30 albums in and I finally got an album I not only know, but love. This album is Stevie Wonder in his prime and you can tell. The first two songs in the album are a little slow but are still enjoyable. These songs show that this album is going to be using synths more then the average Stevie Wonder album. It starts picking up with "Living in the City" which is a great song that highlights the inequality seen in cities like New York. "Golden lady" is a great follow up to the last song which is much more positive in contrast. "Higher Ground" is the next song and maybe the most popular from the album. The backing of this song is iconic and everything about it shows how great this album is. Although I usually don't like over preaching songs, "Jesus Children of America" is undeniably great. "All in Love is Fair" is an easy Stevie Wonder classic. "Don't You Worry Bout' A Thing" is just perfection. The opening shows Stevie Wonder with just the most insane rizz. It then slowly builds into this amazing chorus showcasing Stevie's incredible voice. I love how it implements a new section near the end and mixes it with the chorus, just amazing. I listen to this song to de-stress as it just reminds me that everything in life is going to be alright. One of my favourite songs of all time. "He's Misstra Know-it-All" is a great ender to the album having a great piano backing. Overall if you like music in general, this album is essential for you to listen to. TLDR: I thought it was good and you should listen to it.

The backing is great. Other than that it is pretty standard for now, but considering the time it could have been cool. Sadly, it doesn't compare to modern music of the same sort.

I really liked today's album. Went in not expecting the best but the moment I heard the first song, I knew it was going to be good. All the songs are so lively and make you want to dance. Only issue is it is too long (I know it's the extended version on Spotify but the original is still an hour long). Definitely worth a listen, 4/5

This album is David Bowie's last set of songs. I really wanted to like it, but unfortunately I didn't. The songs were just not for me with the exception of "Dollar Days" and "I Can't Give Everything Away" which I thought were pretty good. The mix of really good and bad make this a 3/5 in my eyes.

The second song reminded me of a book I read as a kid called "I Wish that I had Duck Feet". This book traumatized me cause they threw the kid in a zoo at the end. Like why would they do that, he's a little boy, don't lock him in zoo jail!! Also this album was fine.

James Brown is iconic so I was excited to get this album. The intro hyped me up so much as they announced the legend onto the stage. Then it starts to go and it doesn't stop until the last second of the last song. This album is so lively and makes you feel like you're there at the concert. I didn't expect to give this a 5 because it was a live album, but it definitely deserves one.

This album is punk in its purest form.

Although it is an important record for music history I just don't get it. It sounds like it was played at a baseball game and it was not for me. "Green Onions" the song was ok but nothing crazy. "Twist and Shout" was interesting as an instrumental but I much prefer The Beatles version. Overall it was just fine.

I really like how some of the songs are connected through the theme of a classroom. Overall, album is really solid. Every song is really well made and transitions well between each other. Only problem is it is a little long.

I feel like I should like this album. It is very interesting as a lot is going on in each song. I can't stand the singing though. I want to give this a 3 so badly but I also can't stand listening to his voice do it's a 2.

Damn this is old. I've listened to older albums on here like "Birth of Cool" but this just feels so ancient. It's just her and the guitar which is an admirable feat but, it sucks. The guitar is fine but her singing is not for me at all. The fact that nothing else is going on other than the guitar and vocals makes it a very skippable album.

For me this album is nothing special. It's trying to be original, which I appreciate, but it still somehow sounds basic. I can't explain why but it is just very middle of the road.

This album is pretty interesting as some of it is amazing while other parts are just ok. I think I'm more of a fan of Dr. Dre's style as his parts of songs tend to be much more interesting. The other songs sound a little primitive by today's standard. I do like the attitude of this album as you can tell they don't care what anyone thinks about them. Overall I admire the album but it's just not a five for me as it isn't as consistent or good as albums like Illmatic.

Hey, isn't that the song from Better Call Saul but LIVE!! Overall I thought the songs were good but would have preferred to not listen to it live as it has too many long unnecessary solos.

A live album without any filler, that's crazy! Really good stuff and had some great songs. My favorite was, "Baby, I Love Your Way". One of the best live albums 4/5.

If "The Rockefeller Skank" wasn't on here, it would be a 1. This album is practically unlistenable as it is annoying. That one song is good but that's it, everything else is god awful.

This cover is all I needed to know that this was a 5 star album. Helped that the songs were also really good. Literally all of them are good and some are just amazing. My favorites are "Girls and Boys", "Parklife", "To the End", and "Badhead".

Legendary album that defines what reggae is about. If you listen to any individual part of any of these songs, it will be perfect. Truly a 5 star album.

I didn't know music could sound this good. Each song introduces amazing hooks and endings that perfectly conclude the song. This album blew my expectations away becoming an easy 5/5 for me.

I've heard of Neil Young before but never listened one of his albums. This one is actually pretty great. The use of acoustic and electric guitar is nice and his vocals are great. For me, there are some duds keeping it away from a 5/5.

Unless you're trying to go to sleep, this album isn't worth it. That is with two exceptions which use electric guitar as that's just going to wake you up. 3/5

This is my second Neil Young album I've gotten and also happens to be his second album. Not as good as "After the Gold Rush" but still a great album. Some songs on it do go on a bit too long. It's nothing crazy, but still a solid album.

The band behind this album is just amazing. In every song the instruments are played expertly. The issue for me is Springsteen's voice. Although I got used to it, his voice can be really hard to understand. Pretty good album though and makes sense as part of this list.

Wow! This is kind of bad. Listening to this album just feels underwhelming despite me having no expectations for it.

I love the use of synths in this album. Really gives it a unique identity making it weird but interesting to listen to. Definitely need to take a closer listen to as there is so much going on. Another point to highlight was the introspective nature of the album having a lot of lyrics which I could relate to.

Really great and creative album. Just like "The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill", I like how the songs are interconnected. The blending of all these different genres also help this album have a unique and memorable personality. Definitely one I need to listen to regularly to really appreciate it due to all the detail. Most people's first Radiohead album is not this one but for me it is. I thought it was good but just didn't really do anything that crazy. I've never heard of this album before today and I get why. It uses synths a lot, which can be ok, but in this instance was annoying. I'm hoping the other Radiohead albums sound better than this one.

All of the songs themselves are really good. They have a great beat and usually a great baseline. The issue is the messages in the song are told to you very point blank. Also the guy's voice sounds goofy. Still, a very deep album with an approachable beat.

While listening to this album, I can see the influence on The Beatles. The harmonies especially are reminiscent of an early Beatles album. The songs are pretty good but compared to rock and roll as we know it now, it is rather simplistic. Cool to hear Buddy Holly's music after listening to the song, "Buddy Holly" all the time.

This album started so strong but then ended do badly. Between "I can't get over you" and "cuckoo", I was done. What the hell happened? It feels like they didn't even try for the end. Still, the beginning was good and had potential.

I had no expectations for this album but it is now one of my favorite albums I've discovered though this project. Every song is a banger. I tend to not rate albums 5 stars as I leave it for perfect/close to perfect albums. This album is 100% perfect. Favorite songs: "Gotta Get Up", "Down", "Without You", "Coconut"

The debut of the rap god! The personality of this album is great. Just like NWA, Eminem does not give a shit about saying PG lyrics. I mean one of the songs is about some guy getting rid of his ex-wife's body. It is truly unhinged and stands out among rap albums. The songs themselves are also really catchy despite being dark.

It's almost like this album is boring or something. OH WAIT, IT IS ANOTHER BORING 70's ALBUM! This album is so uninteresting and has no identity of its own.

Shalimar is an interesting album as it is actually the soundtrack for a movie of the same name. It makes me wonder why can't other movie soundtracks like "Star Wars A New Hope" or "The Lion King" be on this list. Anyway this sounds like granny music. Some of it is really good and interesting while as other parts straight up suck. Weird album but balances to be a 2.

I listened to Meat is Murder a while back and thought it was fine. Going into this album I was certain I wasn't going to like it but I was wrong. I ended up really enjoying it. A main problem is mine for Meat is Murder was Morrissey's singing but in this album it clicked for me. Not only that but the musicians were also really good. All in all, I'm shocked that this album was as good as it was. A 4/5 for me. He does seem like an ass though.

I liked that this album used a mix of instruments led by piano. It added depth to a lot of the record. The songs were sung great and had lyrics with a ton of substance. There is some Latin influence in this album which also works great. Favorite songs: Sleep To Dream, Criminal, The First Taste

I love this album so much. I started listening to Zeppelin around September of 2023 and started with this album. Now I listen to these songs on a daily basis and can't get enough. How the hell was this whole album recorded in 36 hours! Maybe it's because each member of the band are the best at what they do. Jimmy Page is an amazing guitarist and his solos are legendary. JPJ adds great basslines that always are amazing. Plant's vocals are perfect. For me the star is John Bonham with his top of the class drumming. This is showcased in "Dazed and Confused" where he is killing it. These are 4 of the best musicians of all time and this album is a showcase of their genius. Favourite songs: Good Times Bad Times, Babe I'm Gonna Leave You, Dazed and Confused, Communication Breakdown, I Can't Quit You Baby Dazed and confused btw is one of my favourite songs of all time.

I was excited to get this album as I already like Hey Ya and The Way You Move. This album is interesting as it is basically two in one so I'll review each one separately. Speakerboxxx is the first album and it's great. This is the Big Boi side and it's style is more traditional Outkast. The balance of Big Boi's deep voice while rapping with the great backing and usually higher voice of the chorus work really well together. Every song is pretty good and all work together. Favorite songs: Bowtie, The Way You Move, Church, Knowing, Flip Flop Rock Now for Andre 3000's side, The Love Below. Immediately you notice the difference from the first half. Every song is different taking from a bunch of genres creating a cool eclectic listening experience. It especially works considering Speakerboxxx tends to not switch it up like this half does in terms of musical styles. I mean there's an instrumental version of My Favourite Things which is crazy. Lyrically it is also impressive showing the different views of love both positive and negative. Favorite songs: Love Hater, Happy Valentine's Day, Prototype, She Lives In My Lap, Hey Ya, Roses, Dracula's Wedding, My Favorite Things, Take Off Your Cool Overall these albums are amazing musically and lyrically. Combined it is a legendary listening experience which is easily a 5/5.

This is one of the best albums ever made. So many of Stevie Wonder's hits are on this album alongside some of his most lyrically and musically complex and brilliant songs. So many lyrics of this album like the ones for Pastime Paradise are so amazing and make an important statement. I'd like to highlight the song "As" because it is my favorite from this album. The build-up is incredible and the theme of love is so well presented. This is Stevie Wonder's magnum opus and peak album. It is one of the best albums of all time without a question. Favorite songs: Sir Duke, I Wish, Knocks Me Off My Feet, Pastime Paradise, Summer Soft, Ordinary Pain, Isn't She Lovely, As, Another Star

Just a dude complaining for an hour

Indifference is how I would describe this album.

I was so excited to get this as it is actually my favorite album by my favorite band. This is my pick for the best Beatles album as it just is so consistent and the vibes are amazing. Drive My Car is a great intro but the album goes to the next level with Norwegian Wood. The use of the sitar adds an amazing sound giving this song a mystical aura. John, Paul, and George all have amazing outings showing them in the prime. Even Ringo's one song is pretty good (Sad Ringo 😢). Out of all of these songs "In My Life" is my favorite. It is a beautiful retrospective of life that ends with focusing on the present and the person who gives your life meaning. It has a melancholic tone which gives it way more depth and a perfect representation of all of life. It's why this song is my favorite of all time. Favorite songs: All of them Rubber Soul is a personal album for me and whenever I feel down I put it on. Listening to it one more time, I appreciate it even more.

It's hard to seperate the artist from art and this album is a great example. This is a great album made by a crazy person. It is extremely original with the first song being an incredible opener. Each successive song keeps the pace up and are all really great. I can't rate it higher than a 4 though because I don't agree with many things Ye has said and done.

Judging by the cover I didn't think I was going to like this as I thought it was going to be emo. Turns out it was a great hard rock album!

I hadn't heard of this album and judging by the first song, I didn't think I would like it. Turns out all the other songs are incredible and it's just that first song I don't like. In fact, the rest of this album is so good! It all works together making an album which sounds unique and works together. Favorite songs: Sidewalk Serfer Girl, It's Not The End Of The World, Shoot Doris Day, No Sympathy, Juxtaposed With U, Presidential Suite, Fragile Happiness

The piano in all these songs are amazing but the songs themselves are nothing special. The ones I liked tended to be covers (although most of the songs are covers).

That was boring

For me this album was forgettable. Nothing stood out as being interesting and the album sounded like things I've heard before. Not a bad album but a mediocre one.

There's no album that sounds like this one. Each song flows together and connects together creating an entire narrative. The guitar on this is also really good. The issue is some songs individually aren't very strong. It also sounds pretty dated in areas. Really good album but not all of it is for me.

The underrated champ! This is where the band transformed from amazing rock band to amazing at every genre. Half of this album is experimental rock songs and the other half is experimental folk. The combination is amazing and although I prefer the first half both are really well done. The opening is iconic being Immigrant Song which is one of the bands most popular. For me the albums peak is at Since I've Been Loving You. It's perfect from it's infectious guitar rift to Bonham's legendary drumming and maybe Robert Plant's best vocal performance. The ending of the album is one of the most hated Zeppelin songs and I understand why. Personally it's fine and doesn't ruin the album but does leave a bad last impression. Although it isn't everyone's cup of tea, this album is still amazing and a great stepping stone to get to Zeppelin's best album. Favorite songs: Immigrant Song, Friends, Since I've Been Loving You, Out On The Tiles, Gallows Pole, Tangerine

I've never heard of this Bowie album before but it's great. Despite only being 6 songs, all of them are expertly made and memorable. Maybe not the best of Bowie's catalogue but is nothing to ignore. Instrumentally it is extremely good and I really like it. Great addition to this list and an album I need to listen to multiple more times to fully appreciate.

I didn't know the guy who did the Sonic The Hedgehog 3 OST had solo albums!?

It's alright and has some good moments but overall it isn't for me.

While the songs on the album are great the guitar is the stand out. The solos are legendary and it sounds so good the whole way though. Favorite songs: School's Out, Luney Tune, My Stars, Public Animal #9, Alma Mater.

A soul album from Bowie, that's crazy! On top of that who would have thought it would work this well. Most songs have a choir in the back and use much more brass instruments. All of the songs work pretty well together with the exception of "Across the Universe". It ignores the soul theme of the album and isn't as good as the rest of the songs. It also doesn't help that the original version is much better and one of my favorites from "Let It Be". This album is still great overall and it's nice to see this much variety in Bowie's catalogue. Favorite songs: Young Americans, Fame, Who Can I Be Now?

The guitar and especially the bass in this album is great and definitely the highlight! Everything else is not quite as good but still quality. Definitely an 80s feel with this album and it works well. Enjoyed and would listen to again.

I wanted to listen to this album for a while after getting the Yes Album and it didn't disappoint. Everything in Fragile is so good and even better than the previous album. It feels like they got it down with amazing guitar solos, great drums, and well crafted songs. I also like after most major songs they have instrumental interludes which add to the overall experience of listening to the album. Really just Yes at their peak! Favorite songs: Roundabout, South Side of the Sky, Long Distance Runaround, Heart of the Sunrise, America

This is just disturbing. At times it feels like it could be building to something good but it always gets pulled back to just sounding gross. Listening to this album feels like watching movies like The Dark Crystal or The Neverending Story as a kid. Your just creeped out and want it to end immediately.

Wow, this guy is really down bad! Some of the songs are pretty good but other ones are just a lot of whispering. Sometimes it's too serious and it's not great at that. A real mixed bag. Favorite songs: Mis-Shapes, Underwear

The instrumental tracks for this album are really good but the rest is not for me. I don't like the robot voices that much and the lyrics were whatever. Sexy Boy was a song I really didn't like and felt like a dropoff from the strong opener. It was a good album to listen to and worth being on this list, but I wouldn't revisit it.

That flute goes crazy!

Sinatra is easily one of the best singers in the world. The orchestra is also really good and enhances his singing. The album is pretty good overall but the songs do sound similar after a while.

Very 80s and in this case it's not for me. I find it doesn't age very well. Some songs like Shout are annoying but, others like Everybody Rules The World are great. Worth a listen but not going back to often.

The perfect early Beatles album. Has a ton of classics and some hidden gems too. The harmonies on this one are unmatched and the instrumental is improved from "With The Beatles" (although even that was good). This album is pretty significant for The Beatles because it is the first one to feature only songs written by them. The lyrics are an improvement from previous albums but don't compare to later ones. Still, it's an album I like to listen all the time. Also the cover is great! Favorite songs: A Hard Day's Night, I Should Have Known Better, If I Fell, And I Love Her, Tell Me Why, Can't Buy Me Love, Any Time At All, You Can't Do That, I'll Be Back

Instrumentals are excellent but I feel the singing is give or take. Songs are not so memorable for me but sound good in the moment.

Funkiest album ever made

An incredible album with some of the best, most addictive instrumentals and lyrics that are so strong considering they are standing up to the Nigerian government. Definitely an album everyone needs to hear.

The contrast from the first and second song is crazy. The first one is a 10 minute guitar solo where the guitarist is shredding while the second one is a pretty normal song. This through me for a loop especially because most of the album afterwards is normal funk. Then the last song is weird as hell (some guy farts on the microphone!). This album is both pretty decent and absolutely sucks so I'll just give it a 3 and stop thinking about.

I'm not emo enough to truly appreciate this album but I can appreciate that guitar!

The most middle of the road album yet

Some of the best guitar shredding I've ever heard. Their later songs may be cheesy and dated (specifically Jump) but this album still sounds amazing even now. Didn't think I was going to like it, but ended up loving it. Only issue is the album definitely peaked with its first half

The first song was good but the rest was pretty mediocre. The Jungle Line was exceptionally bad though and is hard to listen to. Everything else is really boring with garbage lyrics (although the bad lyrics go for the first song too). I was optimistic going in, but it's definitely not worthy to be on this list.

A little goofy but the instrumentals are pretty good. Basically if the monster mash was a whole album with better backing instrumentals.

Maybe but Aerosmith's most popular albums but still one I really enjoyed. I'm not too familiar with the band and this left a great impression.

THE GOATS!! Copeland's drumming style is so unique and he is the master of the hi-hat. Summers is a great guitar player who can steal the show or be an amazing addition to the background. Sting is a great singer who can also play the bass like nobody else. This album is their peak and perfects their punk and reggae style. If you've never listened to The Police it's a must. Favorite songs: ALL OF THEM!!

I've always meant to listen to Jimi Hendrix but never got around to it. I now know that was a huge mistake because this album is so good! The drumming is incredible, the bass is great, but the guitar is out of this world. Truly an experience I need to go back to.

For country music it's not too bad! That said it is still country music so it can't be higher than a 3

The songs on this album are really well written and sung. A lot of classics that I'm only now hearing for the first time. Glad I got to listen to it.

Pretty good old school rap

How this has so many 5 star reviews I'll never know. This album is hard to listen to as it is so dated. The singing is just too cheesy and the instrumentals can't save it. I mean I could've just looked at the cover and realized it would be a 2 but I listened to it and found out the hard way.

Although the rest of the album wasn't as good as the first few songs, still a solid listen.

It's the Macca's debut album and I was excited to listen to it. I'm a huge fan of The Beatles and I love ATMP by George Harrison. Although not being close to as good as the aforementioned albums it's still great. It sets your expectations low at first with tracks that are just Paul jamming out catchy tunes. Ironically, once you get to "Junk" the album gets better! Favorite songs: Junk, Man We Was Lonely, Momma Miss America, Teddy Boy, Maybe I'm Amazed. Nice to hear Paul just having fun!

I think instead of these four, Mama Cass should make her own kind of music!

A while ago I got an earlier Stones album and they improved like crazy. The songs have more depth and the entire album is better quality. I finally understand why people like this band.

Did not expect the random I Am the Walrus reference in "South California Purples". This album is very good. Whether it be the keyboard or the horns, the instrumentals are top notch. Didn't expect anything but was pleasantly surprised!

Religion 1 is one of the worst things I've ever heard. This album is lucky that the drums and bass are good otherwise it's a 1.

In all honesty, I expected this album to be too weird and experimental but that ended up being why I liked it so much. It took me though a journey of rock that led me to feel every emotion. Truly one of the greatest albums ever made.

If this came out later it wouldn't really be that impressive but since it came out in 1969 it is a little ahead of the time. That being said, the album is pretty boring and I don't care for it.

This guy's singing brought down this entire album. I kept thinking that the music was good but those terrible vocals kept messing it up. To describe the vocals, it sounds like your drunk uncle singing off pace with the song.

Gotta love how George Harrison played on some songs on this album including the diss track towards Paul. This album is a little savage and shows John not holding back like he did with The Beatles. Great album but suffers from being overproduced and having some weaker songs.

The hits are great and the rest is only ok. It has an 80s sound but it works well compared to other albums I've heard.

This album is so influential I heard almost every song before listening to this. A good share of these are covers but I was so surprised to learn Respect and (I Can't Get No) Satisfaction were made by him. Overall an essential album to this list.

It's a pretty short album with not a ton of substance. In the album's defense, it is pretty inoffensive. I've heard much worse on the list and obviously much better. It's also funny how the song "It's A Bit of A Pain" is a bit of a pain to listen to.

I can't listen to the normal version of Heads will Roll now that Dance Till You're Dead exists. It just isn't the same without that dog vibing to the song. Other than that, the album is ok but nothing that interesting.

No surprise here, Led Zeppelin II is an easy 5 stars. Although the first album may have higher highs, Zeppelin II is much more consistent. It also consists of more original songs and less covers which is always good. As per usual, everyone in this band is extremely talented and the best in their field. John Bonham deserves a specific shoutout for the song "Moby Dick" which has maybe the best drum solo ever made. Overall this is definitely the best album for a beginner Zeppelin fan. It defines everything the band is good at perfectly. Favorite songs: All of them but especially Heartbreaker, Moby Dick, and *Ramble On.

It's alright but there are still too many Sonic Youth albums on here. Before this list I couldn't name you once Sonic Youth album let alone 5! As for the album, it's nothing special but still fine.

Much better than Green River! Feels like CCR going into more interesting directions with their songs rather than Green River which was pretty safe and boring. A definite improvement and a great album on its own.

The songs feel like they should be amazing but there's just something holding it back. Although a lot of reviews are saying it's emotionless, I don't think that's it. I think it's more that the singing doesn't mix well with the music backing it up. I wish I loved this, but I just didn't.

This is the first album I've heard on this list to have given me a lot of ironic enjoyment. It's so bad and the lyrics are so cheesy that it becomes funny. They literally use a high pitched sample from Free Bird and play it off as serious. This album is a joke but a really funny joke which I look forward to laughing at in the future.

Going into this I was expecting a great album and I was proven right! The first and last song are just perfection. The guitar, drums, bass are all incredible throughout. Moon child was definitely the low point of the album as it's pretty boring, but the concept is cool. Overall an obvious but necessary choice for this list.

This album is easily one of the best I've heard so far and I've already heard a fifth of the album's! It cemented metal as a genre to be taken seriously. There are eight be songs on this album and somehow they're all 8/10 or higher. Other than the obvious highlights (War Pigs, Paranoid, Iron Man), I really enjoyed Rat Salad, Hand of Doom, and Planet Caravan. As someone who listens for the drums in songs, this album blew me away with one of the best drum performances in an album. The guitar is also incredible and those solos are otherworldly they're so good. Everything about this album is peak metal and a permanent member of not only the top 1001, but top 50 albums of all time!

Frank Ocean only made 2 albums and is still one of the most popular artists on Spotify. This isn't a coincidence as this album is on here for being extremely creative and just great in general.

I feel like this album is rated so low on this website because a lot of people using this album are using it to get away from music like this. Not to say this album is terrible but it's just not my taste in music. I don't get why so many people love Beyonce because from my perspective everything she's done is just mediocre. Am I biased because I hate the 2019 Lion King, of course, but this album is still not that good otherwise. It's too much pop and not much else which is not what I like in music.

The lyrics are obviously great but I never really got into the actually songs. It's all kind of boring and just not my thing. Not too into Bob Dylan's music but I like him only because if it wasn't for him The Beatles wouldn't made Rubber Soul or any of their trippy albums (he gave them drugs).

This album is proof that George Harrison didn't need The Beatles to be the legend he is today. Every song in this album is at least a 7/10 with some songs being close to perfection. The first 6 songs are definitely the highlight of the entire album. Although "My Sweet Lord" may have copied "He's So Fine" it's so much better then that song it doesn't even compete (although the similarities are impossible to deny). "What is Life" is easily the best song on this album with its heartfelt message and amazing guitar riff that keeps getting stuck in my head. This is undeniably the best solo Beatles album. Favourite songs: I'd Have You Any Time, My Sweet Lord, Wah-Wah, Isn't a Pity, *What is Life, If Not for You, Let it Down, I Live for You, Apple Scruffs, Ballad of Sir Frankie Crisp (Let it Roll), All Things Must Past.

Pretty good album although no song in particular stuck with me.

I can't believe this album is rated so low! It's very different from the rest of the list as it has a lot of influences from all over the world. The Latin influences show the most and gives the album a real upbeat vibe. It is very underrated and I think is an album more people should pay attention to on this list.

Better than the last Eminem album and further cements him as the Rap God. It's also really funny how a lot of people are complaining that this album is too inappropriate despite that being the point (Although the homophobia is pretty bad and didn't age well). I'm not giving 5 stars because the second half isn't as good as the first but still a solid album. Also "The Real Slim Shady" is a banger!

Another great Rolling Stones album. It's neat to see how they've grown as a band from the first album and how much the instrumentals have gotten better. That being said the album is pretty long even if it is consistent.

I'm giving it a 3, which is how many hours I'm saving by not listening to this. This is the first of 270 albums that I'm just not listening to because it is so long. I listened to a bit and it sounded good but I could not listen to anything for over 2 hours and still be invested. The Gen Z attention span strikes again!

It's hard to imagine this is one of Bob Marley's first albums as it's pretty good. It still has the feel of a Marley album without the fine tuning the later albums have. It also feels more like a Wailers album as they are more present in this album than in later ones. Overall pretty good but isn't as good compared to later Bob Marley albums.

Although I really enjoyed the two hit songs on the album, the lyrics are really cheesy to the point where they became comical. It's like the album equivalent of going to the Olive Garden and never telling the waiter to stop while they're grating cheese on your pasta. Some may like this amount of cheese but I can only handle so much of it! Also, SQUIDWARD ON A CHAIR!!

This album is literally the old people tamer. Play it to anyone over the age of 50 and they will instantly be calmer. If it worked on my parents, it'll work on yours!

I finally reached it, the best album on the list! This is a perfect album and is probably the best Beatles album in terms of quality (although I prefer Rubber Soul personally). The first half features iconic songs back to back with "Something" being the standout for me. Each song feels uniquely different on this half which adds a lot of variety to the album. The second half is a medley which showcases how talented The Beatles truly were. When the best band ever makes their masterpiece, of course it's going to make it on this list. In summary, IT'S WAY BETTER THAN RUMOURS! Favorite Songs: ALL OF THEM! (Maxwell's Silver Hammer is definitely the weakest though)

I tend to not like punk and most punk albums I've had so far were not great. This album is not like those other punk albums. I can tell that they have talent as the instrumentals are great and so are the lyrics. This album shows a lot of potential that London Calling lives up to. Glad I got proven wrong on this album!

This is not a great album but it is really funny because of how bad it is. He literally just observes things in his lyrics and it is so stupid. After listening to his other album on the list it made me dislike him and this album didn't do him any favors. Hopefully there are only 2 of these albums and I'll only hear him in Toy Story (WHERE RANDY BELONGS!).

Another classic from Jimi Hendrix that sounded completely different from his first album. There were so many moments where I was shocked to hear a guitar make the sounds it did which is a testament to how good Jimi was at playing. The drums are another highlight of the album being consistently great. The songs themselves were pretty good all around but, the last 4 songs are definitely the best part. This album is a showcase of how innovative and talented Jimi Hendrix was, what an experience!

This is the second Sly and The Family Stone albums I've gotten and it's pretty consistent with the last album. It's pretty solid throughout with a lot of great songs. The second song was a little jarring to hear and felt a out of place on the album. Otherwise just another great addition to the list.

Somehow Neil Young improved on After the Gold Rush and perfected his music with Harvest. The songwriting is incredible to hear on this album and there are moments when both the lyrics and instrumentals (specifically the guitar) work perfectly together. This album has no bad songs is consistent throughout. Harvest is a necessary addition to the list! Favorite songs: Out on the Weekend, A Man Needs a Maid, Heart of Gold, Are Your Ready For the Country, *Old Man, Alabama, The Needle and the Damage Done, Words (Between the Lines of Age)

Neat to see Ric Ocasek while he was still playing (I know him for producing Weezer's blue album). It's a solid enough album but none of the songs really stuck out to me. Cool this is on the list but also would've liked to see a Weezer album.

The song, "American Pie", is a masterpiece of songwriting which recaps the history of music at that point beautifully while also being a tribute to Buddy Holly solidifying his legacy. The rest of the album is nothing special with some great songs and some stinkers. Overall the titular song is incredible but the rest is pretty forgettable, a bunch of songs lost to space.

I thought it was going to be mediocre like the other Springfield album I got but this one was just really enjoyable. I liked the overall faster beat that early 60s albums bring which is probably why I liked it so much.

After listening to this all I can think is "Wu Tang Ain't Nuthing to F' Wit"!

Has a great start with a bad ending. The first half of the album felt like it was typical Bowie and included heroes! The second half was a lot of instrumentals and was not as interesting (also felt a bit empty). Don't know if this one needed to be on the list.

I'm not a huge Talking Heads after getting 2 of the albums already so I wasn't excited for this one. I was surprised to hear the first song was really good and it raised my expectations for the rest of the album. Too bad the rest of the album features the terrible lead vocalist. I said that in my last review, "If you remove the main singer, it's actually pretty good" which was proven to be true for this album as well. The album's second half is also much weaker which didn't add to my enjoyment. Guess I shouldn't be surprised that it sucked.

Unexpected but I'm glad I liked it so much. It's a really funny album but is actually good. It utilizes sampling well and has a flow that a lot of rap albums (especially for its time) don't have. Along with the goofy lyrics, I'm surprised to say but I have to give it a 5. Maybe it's to balance all the negative reviews but it's also just a really solid album!

Easily one of the greatest albums I've heard so far! This album is so well composed and produced making every song extremely memorable. What really makes this album incredible however is the instrument backing. Steely Dan (Becker and Fagen) would hire studio musicians to play each song and chose whoever fit the track best. The highlight of this was on the song "Home at Last" where Bernard Purdie gave one of the best drum performances of all time! This is one of the best albums I've heard so far and I can't wait to hear more Steely Dan in the future. Liked songs: All!

I just had 2 five star albums in a row so I was expecting something bad to come next. Unfortunately for me, it happened to be an "album" with everything I hate about my generation's music taste (so worse than I expected). After listening to the album I do think I was slightly over exaggerating but I still didn't enjoy. To me it feels pretty corporate and unimpressed. It also isn't very relatable but that is probably because I'm not the target audience. Still, I had to listen to this on the radio for years so my brain is programmed to hating it. Would be a 1.5 but since it's overplayed to hell and back I'm giving it a 1.

Although I never cared for any of the Bob Dylan albums I got previously, this one was pretty good. His song writing is showcased well and his guitar playing is stellar.

Although it did sound decent nothing really stood out to me. It's also a really long album and felt like some songs could have been cut. Definitely good moments but overall a little dull.

If you want a French guy whispering shit in your ear, you'll like this album. I hate that so this is one of the worst things I've ever listened to.

This is the cheesiest album and aged terribly. The only thing I liked was the guitar, everything just did not work. For the first few seconds of "Le Freak" I thought I would be enjoying it but after a minute I was already done with it and noticed it's flaws. Overall did not enjoy.

Neat to see both the origins of Black Sabbath and heavy metal in this album. Although it doesn't reach the heights of Paranoid, it is still a great album with legendary musicians.

I feel compelled to watch A Goofy Movie now and I don't know why!

Miss Chatelaine and Constant Craving were pretty good but the rest was nothing special.

Lyrics are so stupid and everything else is so schmultzy. It feels like the music is too full of itself despite the fact that it sucks. I have personal bias against this but I also just can't stand listening to such hot garbage. SHE'S NOT EVEN PRONOUNCING HAWAII RIGHT!

Synchronicity is such a great album. The first two Police albums are much more rock focused mixing other genres it. The next two albums features a lot of experimentation which a leads perfectly to this album. Using the new sound of the latter two albums while creating amazing lyrics to go along with it. The last half of this album is perfect with no bad songs but the first half is lacking a bit. Miss Gradenko and Mother are lacking compared to the rest of the album. Other than that though everything else is great. My favorites are Synchronicity II and Murder by Numbers. Copeland is still an incredible drummer and Summers still kills on the guitar and Sting's vocals tie everything together. An easy 5 star. Liked songs: Synchronicity I, Walking in Your Footsteps, O My God, Synchronicity II, Every Breath You Take, King of Pain, Wrapped Around Your Finger, Tea in the Sahara, Murder By Numbers.

This album has some really great stuff but also some crap. I guess I'll give it a 3 even though it would be funnier to give it a 2 (songs are either 2 or 4 songs for me).

This is a really hard album to listen to. It's got great bones and the musicians on it are extremely talented but it just does not come together. The drums and bass are the most consistent aspects but piano and trumpet can sometimes catch you off guard and they feel out of place. When this album works it is truly great but when it fails, it falls apart.

One of the most influential albums of the 2010s and it's easy to see why do many like it. The lyrics are great and add a lot of depth to these songs. Along with great production it becomes one of the best rap albums ever made. Personally I prefer a little more emphasis on the backing track like in Illmatic but this is still a classic.

Just as good as his dad. Strong lyrics with amazing instrumentals. Just an amazing album! Also the opening to Stubbor Problems was crazy especially considering that it's what really happened to Fela Kuti.

I hated everything about this. I couldn't even listen to a few minutes of it without wanting to skip every song. Should NOT be on this list!

I'm pretty conflicted on this album. It sometimes is really good but at other times it is screaming nonsense. I'll give it a 3 as it clearly was influential and has some decent songs but definitely has some stinkers.

A noticeable improvement from C'est Chic! This album is a lot less cheezy and easier to appreciate the amazing guitar and bass. It still is a disco album but it's probably the best a disco album can be for me. Plus, that bass line on the first song is killer!

Good message but I was not a fan of the execution. Too much whispering and the songs themselves aren't great. Some of these lyrics are also really cheesy which dampens the importance of this topic. I wish this album was better considering how important the message is but it sucked.

A beautiful album which highlights why the samba is so good. The ending song, "Bahia" is actually a cover and an amazing one at that. Every instrument is played to perfection and comes together to create this masterpiece.

Crazy how a decade before this they were singing Twist and Shout!

Pretty solid album throughout but nothing stood out to me (except the marimba in one song)

An absolute banger! I loved every song on this album and it lived up to its funky nature. Even if it was hard to find, I much prefer this to Maggot Brain. Great album that more people should know about.

This album is a loving tribute to Syd Barrett (an ex bandmate who was forced to leave after continued use of LSD) which reflects how the band felt about him even after they hadn't seen him for years. The instrumentals are incredible with expert use of synths and incredible guitar riffs and solos. Everything just comes together creating one of Pink Floyd's best albums.

Country = 3, that's just how it is.

It's basically listening to the same song over and over again for an hour straight. The song itself is fine but the length of the album is to it's detriment.

That was a nothing album

Great funky soundtrack! The opening line in Pusherman caught me off guard which was a funny way to start such a great funky song. Overall I'm probably going to drive with this album playing in the background at all times.

Pretty classic album which basically shows the turning point of music in the sixties. A necessary inclusion to the list but a little inconsistent for my liking. Also the last song sucked but the rest of the album is still great!

Although it's not close to being as good as the Beatles' "Let it Be", it does have "Gary's Got a Boner"

Because I've this album I'm making it my life mission to play Born on the Bayou for an alligator (in the Bayou obviously).

First song I actually didn't mind but I did not enjoy the rest.

Solid album but obviously not up to Bowie's usual standard. Still worth a listen but definitely doesn't need to be on this list.

It was ok I guess

I tend to like metal but this is pretty generic and lacks what I want from a metal album. Just emo garbage.

It's aight but U2 in general is just mediocre to me.

Has moments that are really great but Aumgn and Peking O bring it down.

Cool album, reminds me of Tame Impala but not quite there for me.

3 star albums are hardest to write reviews for as I don't have much of an opinion on them. They usually lead to me writing a generic review like so: It's an alright album but just not too interesting for me.

This album is good at putting me to sleep but otherwise not much else.

The perfect jazz album

Pretty chill album which also happened to be influential in making one of the most famous bands of all time (Nirvana).

A decent start for the band but isn't as good in comparison to later albums.

Not as good compared to stardust

This sold me on the Beastie Boys. I wasn't sure about the other album of theirs I got but this one was just so consistent and solid. I now understand why they're part of this list, good stuff.

A lot of people hate the early Beatles albums because it lacks the perfection the later albums achieve both lyrically and musically. My argument for this is that they are SO DAMN CATCHY! I could listen to this for hours on end and even if it is far from their best, I can't stop listening to it!

Really solid and innovative album!

The exact reason I'm doing this project. I absolutely loved this album from it's typical Sabbath metal songs to softer songs like Changes. I didn't think Black Sabbath could ever close to their hit album Paranoid, but this album proved me wrong.

First half was great but second half wasn't quite as good. Liked it better than the first Supergrass album but not as much as other Britpop bands like Blur.

Electronic music is just not for me. This isn't too bad but I still wouldn't want to listen to it.
