Добре що Боб зібрав гурт, бо оці пісні під гітару.........

Oof. What a tough listen. Did he own a harmonica before he recorded? Drugs back then must’ve sucked.

Not my favorite. It's not offensive (other than the harmonica), but it sort of just goes on and on. 2/5.

Tough listen. Sometimes the guitar wasn't in tune. Detracts from the writing, which he is known for.

It’s Bob Dylan, even in his 20’s he sounded old. Not really my jam.

I think I thought I liked Bob Dylan more than I actually do, perhaps I love his music but only when he isn't singing it. Some beautifully written songs on here, but after 50 minutes of blaring harmonica and Bob's nasally tones I was wishing for the album's conclusion. For me it's one to listen to a select few songs off but as a whole album it's not something I'd return to in a hurry.

Ugh some Dylan is good but generally I struggle to listen to his albums front to back. I’m even a fan of harmonica but dang it can be piercing at time.

How many Bob Dylan albums must a man listen to, before you can call him annoyed? The answer my friends, is one. But this list has so many of them it verges on a war crime. I'll admit that his whiny voice is less harsh sounding on this album than many of the previous ones, raising this from abrasive to merely dull. So I'll throw old Bob a 2nd star for that. Oddly, listening to this album made me appreciate the Beatles more. I've always thought they were wildly overrated - sure they have some good songs, but they've put out so much music that it would be impossible not to have some hits among all the filler, right? Well Bob Dylan shows that you can produce album after album of boring garbage with no decent songs mixed in, so by contrast the Beatles must really be onto something. PS Neil Young can play a harmonica with subtlety and musicality, which proves that it's possible. But every time Bob remembers his harmonica exists he makes it absolutely shriek. It's like having a toddler shout in your ear at random points in a song. God I hate Bob Dylan

I appreciate the poetry, this kind of music is just not for me. Although I really liked Masters of War

Hum ok.

phenomenal voice, the album didn’t do it for me though

There were themes that resonated with me in this listen, however I seem to not be keen on this genre

Classic Bob Dylan. Acoustic guitar, harmonica, and horrible singing. What more could you ask for?

no me gusto, medio aburrido monotono, lento, no me llamo la atencion 4/10

Idk just ok

Not for me.

Dylan just isn't my thing. I don't mind some of his stuff, but a whole album is just a slog.

set me free i don’t like this

2 stars - not being a fan of Bob Dylan, I will admit this album had it's moments of enjoyment

This album is very singular in terms of innovation, but the raw vocals of Bob Dylan with minimal background musicals encompass genuine feelings of loss. Personally not my cup of tea, but u do u. Extremely authentic American voice like the which you'd hear playing in any redneck movie in Texas.

It was okay, I liked the message of some of the songs but I’m not too into country music.

Like it but not my style

didn't like it that much, kind of boring

meh 2.5/5

idk im not even done listening it aint for me but folk music is nice... just not for me sorry

I'm sorry timothée chalamet 💔

perhaps the least objectional Bob Dylan on this list. I still don't like it my ex briefly went by Dylan as an homage to Bob. I should've known then that it wouldn't work out

sybau bob

Not for me

I didn't finish this

A couple of good songs, otherwise too low-energy for me

Can respect his influence, but his talent is in the songwriting. Definitely not in the vocals or harmonic, which this album exemplifies

Ook dit album kon me helaas niet bekoren. De titel van het album én de twee nummers met Bob Dylan in de titel doen me trouwens vermoeden dat hij zichzelf wel belangrijk vond.

I liked it but country’s not my vibe

There were some moments I liked, however I probably won't replay it. The screeching of the harmonica was a bit too much in certain places. Overall it's a boring album, though it would be tolerable as background music.

At least a little more interesting than the other Dylan albums on this list, which isn't saying much. +1 for it being a bit more personal/emotional, whoever it amazes me he was able to make a career out of pumping out numerous verse chorus verse albums

Mouais, le monsieur est culte et stylé, les mélodies sympa mais c'est tout

pretty boring ngl didnt find a lot of differences between the songs it was all very guitar-harmonica

2/5 I like some of Bob Dylan's songs... I just don't particularly like when he sings them.

this was a very nice listen. though i’ll probably never go through the whole album again. most of the songs sounded the same to me. but a very calming listening experience, and got to listen to a genre i dont usually pay attention to ^^

Some say the voice of a generation, I say hmmm

Blowin' in the Wind i all ära men såhär mycket munspel behövs verkligen aldrig.

Disliked: Masters of War, Bob Dylan's Blues, Honey Just Allow Me One More Chance

A little more listenable than the others but still is the same droning meandering borderline irritating Robert Dylan I know and love. Patiently waited for this one to be over - LESS SO than the others but still hoping it's the last Dylan on here 4.0/10

Bobs a legend but I wasn’t a fan of this might grow on me at a later date

Ok not my style but nice to hear what he was all about.

If I had to listen to a Bob Dylan record it would be this one. Thank goodness I don't have to. If I was alive in the 60s I think this man might have turned me pro-Vietnam

Not my thing

this sure is an album. maybe i would like it more if i was older and grew up in the countryside or something but i really didn't care. fav song: Don't Think Twice, It's All Right

I like this one more than the last Bob Dylan album I got, but the rating stays the same. It's the difference between a 2 and a 2.4, but both round to a 2 I guess. A couple songs I liked with a catchy tune and smooth lyrics/voice, but most of the time his voice is just too nasal and it irks me the wrong way. A couple of songs I like (3 or 4) and the others are either boring, too harmonica-heavy or too nasal for me.

This may have been historically important but it doesn’t do much for me as a first time listener in 2026. His voice doesn’t bother me and the songwriting is solid but it just bores me and I was looking forward to it ending. Not unlistenable but not something I plan to revisit.

bayık...

it all sounds the same to me

I wish it were Freewheel Burning.

second bob dylan album on this website… didn’t like this one tho and sort of enjoyed the other one it felt like one long song with like 30 harmonica solos … sorry

I can't listen to anymore Bob Dylan

I respect the importance of Bob Dylan and his music. But this just wasn’t my jam. It felt like it took forever to get through with very little to make it standout or be significant

Bored and turn down the fckn harmonica and nasal voice and up the guitar. Never really understood the deal with Bob musically I can not stand his music. Still he should've been a poet instead of a musician cause his lyrics are gorg. 2.5/5

Not my style

not a fan so don’t get it

It took me a while to push through this. What some think about Thom Yorke, I think about Dylan. You named your first two albums after yourself and have two tracks in this one that have your name in it? gtfo. And it’s not so much his voice that bothers me, as the way he sings. And yet I still feel like I’m "supposed" to like him. And even though there are a couple good tracks in here, I just can’t stand sitting through an entire Dylan album straight. So fork it, this gets a 2/5 with no regrets.

I think I'm interested in listening to some good covers of these songs with real instruments. Please no more harmonica.

It's just not for me

Прослушала 2 песни, полностью не мое, звучит как каунтри

holy arsch sorry bob auch wenn du aussiehst wie darragh

More boring Bob Dylan. Possibly even more boring than BOTT. Dull tuneless music interdispered with blaring harmonica. Why does anyone enjoy this?

And interesting testimony of the time. I always respect people for being political. But musically this doesnt do too much for me. i cannot picture myself in a situation where i would think 'i need to listen to this record to make this moment perfect'. giving two points for blowin' in the wind and corrina, corrina.

i remain a complete nonenjoyer of Bob Dylan

Not a Dylan fan.

It feels more like spoken poetry, but I don't typically like country music, so not the target audience for this album. Favourite track: Don't Think Twice, It's All Right

The thing about Bob Dylan, yes, he's an amazing song writer. Legendary. But he's got an annoying voice and an annoying harmonica. There are very few Dylan songs I like or can even stand to listen to. And none of them are on this album.

Still need to listen to the full album oops

Not my type of music at all. Very abrasive harmonica and I don’t enjoy his voice at all.

Lord Lord Lord give it a 5 out of 10, round that down to a * *

bon il nous fait chier avec son harmonica azy

Blowin' in the wind is a masterpiece! Will forever love this song. Rest of album not really my thing though and the harmonica is soo high pitched it sorta hurt my head... I Shall Be Free is a pretty funny song lol

don’t think twice, it’s all right

Flows well, just never been a fan of Bob Dylan.

Tekst laat je afvragen wat de zin erna komt Mondharmonica is leuk Acoustische gitaar wordt creatief gebruikt

Fine. So much harmonica, why all the harmonica. Had to listen in multiple parts as became grating quite quickly

The harmonica was killing me musically, but the lyrics were quite solid.

Sausio 5d. Vertinu 4/10 (įvertinimas gal būtų ir aukštesnis, tačiau tokio žanro muzika man tiesiog nepatinka).

Alright. Considering the amount of hype bob dylan has this was nowhere close to what i was expecting

Finally up to date with my albums after being behind for a while - this was a dull last one. Someone take that harmonica off him

I dont really like how it sounds but i guess its good like ideawise and i thi k it was girl from the neoth country that sounded bad at the end

I hate Bob Dylan and his stupid harmonica

As Bob Dylan albums go, this one is very listenable. He's legit singing on this. There's no denying he's a very talented wordsmith. His messages come across loud and clear. I completely understand why, and agree that, this is a culturally important album. It was born during a volatile time in our nation's history. But, thankfully, that doesn't mean it's without humor. "Talkin' World War III Blues" shows serious themes can be treated tongue in cheek. As for repeat listening? For me, not so much. I have a pretty low tolerance for protest songs. I'd have to be in a very particular mood to listen to his voice. His harmonica playing is horrendous. Respect for this album and those who dig it. Just not for me.

One good song and then a harmonica snooze fest

GOING IN: No strong feelings LISTENED WHILE: chillin' at home FAMILIARITY: Know the artist, not the album SKIP RATE: Skipped the odd one REPLAY VALUE: Once was plenty DISCOVERY CURVE: Never happened ALBUM ARC: Strong start, tailed off VERDICT: Bit disappointing BODY'S VERDICT: Statue mode FAVOURITE TRACK: My Rating: 2 Iconic album cover. Unfortunately, the album sucked.

Harmonically a slay. Vocally a nay..

Bob Dylan Gone Wild!

not really my thing

Bob is just not for me in full dosages. Maybe a compilation or as a singles artist.

great lyrics, overal just a bit too much of the same. not the greatest fan of his voice. i like the songs with harmonica more than the song without. he's a good story teller, i just want more instruments on the song. talking world war 3 is just him telling a story about how everyone thinks he's crazy (he is). He should've been an author instead of a singer songwriter cause he has great story's just not my kind of songs. bro sings like he's a comedian or something. not my thing 4/10

I feel like the Rolling Stones fall into two categories for me – stuff of theirs I think is groundbreaking, really awesome, and showcases their talent, and other stuff that makes me think they're overhyped, just average, and not my jam. This album is the latter.

Цей альбом мені сподобався більше, ніж попередній за списком. Думав поставити чесні 3, але інтонування в передостанній пісні настільки крінжове, що понижаємо до 2)

Не люблю Боба Ділана.

I wasn't the biggest fan of this album but I don't often listen to blues or country style music at all. I also offten listen to faster pased music with deeper tones as in like lots of layerd instruments at different pitches or just faster tempo music. This is the first album of this website I've listened to so idk if my ranking is fair I should come back to it later and do a proper in-depth listen. It was quite relaxing tho so I did enjoy that but overall it wasn't my favourite

Favorites: A Hard Rain's A-Gonna Fall

Sorry Bob, je sais que tu es important dans l'histoire de la musique mais je n'arrive pas à me faire à ta voix. 2 points pour l'harmonica. A+

Never really been a Dylan fan. Did enjoy a few songs though.

westerse dinges

Like kje sånn musikk

Bob Dylan is such a well-known, and well-loved musician. I found the vocals hard to listen to; it was too much like he was talk-singing. But it's hard to beat the story-telling.

He's the best example of 'separating the artist from the art' that I know of. I have massive respect for Bob Dylan. But his music is mostly wank

Dylan is something special I will never understand. He might be excellent, but I couldn't see this.

This almost put me to sleep.

Good lyrics but I cannot get over the harmonica

I can appreciate his songwriting ability, but I’m bored and he always sounds like he’s hollering at me.

Bob Dylan? Now that's a name i haven't heard in a long time. I already thought that the first album i did by him (Bringing It All Back Home) was mediocre and so is The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan, in fact I'd put it below the former. It is kinda a shame since i do see quite a fair bit of promise with Dylan's songwriting as it did feel rather interesting for 1963. My main issue with this album though, is the music. This is really a case of if you heard one song, you've heard them all and quite a bit of the songs on offer (especially the longer ones) got really repetitive after a bit. I guess i should have seen this coming since i'm not a big Bob Dylan fan but i'm still just not a huge fan of this album. Best Song: Masters of War Worst Song: A Hard Rain's A-Gonna Fall

Never been a Bob Dylan fan, still not a Bob Dylan fan

122 Logré entender por qué le ponen tanto color con Bob Dylan, varias canciones y frases me gustaron mucho, pero luego se ponía super country, y no me gustaba nada de nada.

I've never liked Dylan. His voice grates on me. He might be a great poet but I just can't hear what a lot of other people do. This is one of the more famous albums and it has songs like blowin in the wind and a hard rain's a gonna fall on but I just couldn't get into it. A hard listen for me and I sometimes wish I could get more from Dylan as the people that love him, really love him.

Ok ok we get it. You can play the harmonica. I guess I don't really like that instrument. It was really starting to annoy me.

eh, alright

Not overly great. I like some Bob Dylan and his music writing skills are good. Usually prefer covers of his music.

i just don't like folk music. i respect bob dylan and his impact blah blah but i just don't care for it. some tracks i enjoyed still

I don't know how this can be hailed as a groundbreaking masterpiece. To me, Hard Rain and Don't Think Twice aside, it is slight, laboured and strained.

Not my vibe

I don't disagree that he's talented. But, he certainly has "a sound"

I don’t think I like harmonicas really. Kinda hurts my ears in some of the songs. Favorite song: Blowin’ in the Wind

God there is just endless Bob Dylan on this list. 1001 Bob Dylan Albums. Probably the most harmonica one filled yet. Actually a bit painful at times, even as a harmonica lover.

2/5 boring

Try not to mention a highway challenge: impossible First two songs are good, the rest sound like this: "Ohhh I doodled my pen, 'til I ran out of ink. Found a new girl and I pounded her pink. *harmonica solo*"

I went into this looking back and thinking that I quite enjoyed Highway 61 Revisited. I quickly realised that most of the songs basically sound the same and Bob has the vocabulary of a 6-year old who just discovered rhyming pairs. The harmonica is sometimes a nice touch, but only as it's an excuse for him to stop fucking talking for a while. Draining.

Another Bob Dylan album, and just like the others I see why people like it, but it's just not for me

Whiny drawl.

I wish I liked your music more, Bob. Because you’re really cool. But it’s just not my style. I find his sort of rambling singing style endearing though. He’s just saying what he wants. I like that. But this isn’t something I’d listen to again. But I feel bad because this album isn’t something that should be critiqued and rated. It’s just something someone made cus they wanted to. It’s a showcase of pure messy and nonsense humanness. I don’t think Bobs intention was to make a musically genius and outstanding album. He just made it because he liked making it. And the fact that that pure unconditional need to pour your true soul into something, without worrying whether or not the outcome is conventional and meets expectations shines through his songs is reason enough to give this album three stars. But because I want to stick to my rating system of rating these albums based on how much I enjoyed them — this is getting two stars. Sorry Bob.

Rating: 1.7 It wasn’t unpleasant per se, but it was kind of like listening to ambient noise. He just drones on forever about shit that doesn’t matter and randomly plays a harmonica in between. Making that sound moderately pleasant at all is in fact a talent but as of now I’m in the minority of people who just don’t enjoy this guy. I guess I have like 10 more albums to find out for sure.

Classic. I'm bored. I dont think there is much variety. the folk guitar and the playing annoys me

Munnspillfaen

Two stars for two good songs

It's a nice album. I think? I’ve just never really been a big fan of Bob Dylan. He’s fine, I can respect what he’s doing, and I get that he's a huge figure in music history, but I never find myself wanting to play his songs. Most of the time, I just find them a bit boring. He feels like a bit of a marmite (or vegemite??) artist, you either love him or you don’t, and I just don’t. There are a couple of tracks that stand out, sure, but overall I’m not really sure when or why I’d ever put this album on. I’m not planning any campfire singalongs or sitting on a veranda with a toothpick and a thousand-yard stare anytime soon. The album is fiiiiiine, I get its place in the world, but it’s just not for me. And yeah, it weirdly makes me feel like a bad person to say that… but it just does not hit.

I'm sure we'll be getting a fair bit of this guy, so here goes. I really like the album cover. It's really sweet. My brother owned a copy of one of his albums (Blonde on Blonde, maybe?) and it just showed a grumpy looking man on the front. Uninviting. This cover actually made me WANT to listen to this album. 'Blowin' in the Wind' was nice. But as the album went on, the nice disappeared. By the end, it felt like he was just rambling. 'Talking World War III Blues' I could liken to a guy who shouts random comments on Courtnay Place in my hometown. There are some little moments of respite, 'Corrina Corrina' is a nice one. But am I the only person who doesn't like his harmonica playing. His songbook has been reproduced by everyone, Albert Hammond Jr did 'Dont think twice, it's alright' a few years back. I was actually annoyed to discover it was a Dylan tune. So, is it fiiiiiiiine? It's okay. I wouldn't listen again. Country folk that wasn't promised by the mood set on that cover. Speaking of judging things the cover... Nope, I don't have a snappy line to go out on. 2 Stars.

Can't get on with Bob Dylan.

That voice. That harmonica. Those are the two things I absolutely can't stand about Bob Dylan's music. Every cover I've heard of a Bob Dylan song is automatically 1000x better than the original just by virtue of not having Dylan's voice on it. Everything else about this album is fantastic. The guitar playing. The songwriting. Phenomenal. 5 stars for the songwriting and guitar playing. -1 stars for the vocals and harmonica. Averages out to 2 stars.

I accidentally looped it a few times without realising it was replaying. It’s nice, some funnies, but ultimately quite plain for me.

Better than the previous listen of him from this list, but I’m tired of the obnoxious screeching harmonica. I do not agree with the general opinion that Dylan is a great lyricist. Overhyped and irritating music

*sighs* Four down, three to go…

I like Blowin' In The Wind. Happy now, 1001 Album Generator?! Can you give me a break from the bloody Bob Dylan albums now, please!? Seriously, I've had 120 albums generated so far and four have been sodding Bob sodding Dylan! That's too much Bob in too little time! Each new Bob Dylan album gets me more and more annoyed at the lack of They Might Be Giants albums making the cut, and I'm trying to not let it influence the rankings, but my goodness it's tricky. I found his voice marginally less annoying on this one than the last three, but not enough to make me actively want to listen to it again. 2/5

I strongly dislike Bob Dylan.

Anti-war song goes hard. Everything else is extremely mid. He's what I would call a right place right time superstar. .

Not for me personally, but I respect it. Added a couple songs to my liked list.

i appreciate the songwriting but its so boring to listen to 4/10

Listen, I completely understand Dylan's impact on music and the cultural zeitgeist of the 1960s. I think he's a great songwriter who can put together very impactful lyrics. That said, his voice and performance style are just awful, so whiny, grating, and unpleasant. I like A Hard Rain's A-Gonna Fall. This is a 2/5 for me.

I liked the first couple tracks, but after that this drifted off into a worse direction.

I don’t really get Dylan. Is it a generational thing ? Or maybe it’s cultural, and you need to be American to fully appreciate his relevance. He’s not a bad artist, he certainly contributed something to music – but I don’t think he deserves the gigantic amount of praise he gets, either. He might be a fine songwriter and composer, but he’s neither a very good singer nor a very good instrumentalist. Anyway. This album kind of embodies all the gripes I have with Dylan. It starts really well, with an iconic song that I always enjoy listening. Then the songs start piling up... and they all sound exactly the same. There’s very little variation, very little risk-taking, all the tracks rely on the same structures and vocal gimmicks. And the harmonica... so much harmonica... It all feels a bit flat and lifeless – like Dylan’s voice – and you end up wondering where it’s all going, and wether he will display more passion at some point (spoiler : he won’t). There’s nothing really wrong with any of the songs taken separately... but by the end of the album, I was just bored out of my mind. Maybe I just have to accept that Dylan must be enjoyed only at very small doses.

Occasionally I do look for something harmonica heavy, and this is great for that mood. Otherwise, I don't imagine myself replaying the work. I appreciate it for its contributions to the art, but it's a pretty difficult listen if you're not hoping to be transported to the 1960s.

I am fully prepared to hate an album that opens with Blowin’ in the Wind. However, it’s got Don’t Think Twice… It’s Alright, so it redeems itself. This is not the album for me. It’s whiny, screeching and sprawling. I know everyone says it’s influential, but is it? It popularised folk music, but it wouldn’t exist without Woodie Guthrie or Pete Seeger/The Weavers. It’s mixed like it pop music, with the vocals way high up in the mix, and he crams too many syllables into a line. Bob Dylan is a great lyricist, but my god he’s harsh on the eardrums!

Dylan again. I still don't like his voice and the way he sings, but it's worse on his later records. The harmonica is annoying almost all the time.

se me ha hecho eterno. Esta bien es un clasico pero se me ha hecho muy largo para escucharlo de una a difenencia de los otros que me los he escuchado muy agusto la verdad. No lo he podido terminar

definetely not my style

Truth to tell, I was not quite as annoyed as I thought I would be. Having only heard small bits of Bob's songs throughout my life, and a million people mocking his voice, I really thought I'd hate all of it. When I saw this come up as the album of the day, I was prepared to quit each song less than halfway through. But I got through the majority of them to leave a fair review. Perhaps since this is earlier in his career, his nasal twang is not as present as it is in some later recordings. Perhaps he leaned into it more later. I mean, it's not good or pleasant here, it just gets worse later. The big thing everyone says is that Bob is a poet. I mean... I guess. But they're so steamrolled by his weak singing and bad harmonica. He's no Charlie Musselwhite or John Popper. It come out blaring against the steady acoustic guitars. Many songs, like Blowing in the Wind and Masters of War, have some good imagery and turns of phrase. But I prefer the versions by other people. Even right now, I've gone back to play the songs to confirm the poetic nature, but can't listen through and just read the lyrics to say they're pretty good. I'll end with this. I appreciate the man's writing and the influence he's had, but I will never just put it on to have a listen.

Prolific songwriter and some iconic songs so there’s no doubt that this shouldn’t be on here. BUT… while I like a few of the songs (the ones everyone else likes) listening to the whole album was borderline painful. There’s only so much plicky pluck + suck suck blow + mumbly statement (all technical terms) one person can handle. 1 star for the prominence and 1 star for the song I like. I much preferred him in American Psycho, Benjamin Button, Batman, Paddington, The Jackal, Be Kind, Rewind and Dune.

I always think I quite like Bob Dylan until I start listening to him. I find his story pretty fascinating but I could do without listening to the records. I went to see him live in the early 2000s - what a long night that was. He got ten minutes into one song before I realised it was Blowing in the Wind. As with so many of the classic, hugely influential albums from the birth of the pop record, it sounds very much of its time today, but I’m glad it exists.

BOB. PUT THE HARMONICA DOWN. This is the second Bob Dylan album I've gotten from this list, the first being Blonde on Blonde. I enjoyed this, Blowin in the wind and Girl from the north country set a lovely cosy tone for this album, but oh my GOD its ruined everytime by the screech of that stupid harmonica. I read another review that said there are seven Bob Dylan albums on this list, meaning I've five more sets of harmonica screeches to endure. RIP me.

Bob Dylan's an icon who's adored by millions of people and has influenced generations of musicians. I'm not among either group. I appreciate what he's done and where this album stands in music history, but it does nothing for me.

if this man picks up a harmonica one more time my brain will burst, started off strong but by the end i couldn't wait for it to be over

I do love his lyricism, I do not love his presentation.

If it's for you, then I'm happy for you. It's not for me. Not much of a folk fan and there's too much harmonica. I appreciate Dylan's influence on the bands that influenced the bands I like - but it's just not for me.

Very folk and all sounded the same.

Wenn ech ergendeinisch mol es Albom brüüchti wo brutal fescht Folk musig esch, de wär das secher eis woni mer müsst öberlegge. Öb das ergendeinisch werd passiere bezwifli jetzt mol. Es esch basicly de Bob Dylan met ere Gitarre ond mängisch e Schnörregiige. Es god zwar rächt ab aber es werd schnell rächt langwiilig. Emmerhen esch s Cover es huere guets Foti.

Bore off Bob

I’m not sure what people like about this.

I had high hopes going into this record, but I left just a bit disappointed. Album started off great with Blowin' in the Wind, a beautiful song lyric and composition wise, but every song after just left me wanting more of the first track. I just didn't connect with it as much as I had hoped to. Favourite Tracks: Blowin' in the Wind, Don't Think Twice, It's All Right. Least Favourite Tracks: Everything Else.

Don’t Think Twice is an old favorite and one of the first songs I learned to play on the guitar. I love Dylan, and wanted to enjoy this album more, but I found the harmonica grating. It could be that I was just in the wrong mood for it at the time, because I just found myself antsy and wanting to get through to the end. I’ll have to give it another go because I still listen to Bob Dylan regularly, this full album just started irritating me, though.

Listen I’m tired of Bob Dylan, it is what it is.

Great lyrics but I just cannot … his voice

« Papa, is it the same song that we’ve been listening to? ». Arthur, yesterday in the car, on the way to school.

help on the album cover idk which one is bob and which one is dylan

Still don't really get it. Smug humour.

Bob just ain't my jam, and it feels like 10% of the albums on this list are his.

This guy and his f*@$ing voice for almost an hour. If I give him two whole stars he can thank the harmonica, and the fact that he wrote Don’t Think Twice its Alright, even though I don’t like his performance of it.

The music is quite bland, and I am being generous. Lyrics and meaning are important, but cannot save this album. 5/10

More like spoken word poetry with a bit too much harmonica. Bob Dylan’s voice is just too annoying to me

First time, I didn't get it. Second time, I also didn't get it. In fact, I also felt way more often that the guitar in some songs feels a bit out of tune, and it is annoying. I'm very picky about singer-songwriter, and Bob Dylan in this album doesn't do anything of my interest, as I find the singing and the guitar playing a bit bland. And I know that a lot of this album comes from the lyrics, but it is just not enough for me.

Had prolly 3 or 4 good songs, the rest were clones and kinda bland

4.5/10 Definition of mid

Don’t think Bob’s for me - there are a few songs that are so profound and capture an important sentiment, but the rest blur and I found it hard to connect.

Not looking forward to this one, I've gotta say. I used to think I was just sort of indifferent to Bob Dylan but after listening to a few of his albums from this list I can say that I actually quite dislike Bob Dylan. It's just irritating. Lyrically, he's great. Not as good as people who fawn all over him claim him to be, but a better lyricist than musician for sure. And for the love of god not every break in singing needs to be filled with harmonica. His voice is grating but not in a good way. I mean Neil Young can't really sing either but it works for him and I like it. Bob Dylan is just irritating. Part of the problem with this album is that I feel like a lot of the songs could be great if someone else recorded them - Masters of War could be amazing. Sorry Bob, I'm just not a fan. 2/5

2/5 Dude this SUCKS it's so BORING I don't get the hype at all

I know he’s from Minnesota, so I should love him, but Bob Dylan is just not my jam.

I was excited for this. I like a bit of Bob Dylan but ultimately it wasn’t great. Like A Rolling Stone is a great start to the album but I felt it got weaker as it went on. I’m not someone who hates Bob’s voice and I still quite enjoyed it on this album, the folksiness of it and the of course his harmonica are all great. I just felt that it didn’t come together as good as I wanted it to.

I really can’t with him.

I tried, I really tried, but I just can’t see the attraction. A quintessential folk album of lost love, anti-war and love found. Bob tells his tales, but nothing that keeps my interest. He was good for his time, I guess.

Never been a huge fan of super barebones production like this. Timothee Chalamet… I mean Bob Dylan… is clearly a talented guitarist though!

It was just little riffs for 45 minutes. Kinda like elevator folk music.

I can’t believe this guy was 22 when he made this. I appreciate what he did for music but this album was just not my thing.

I used to be obsessed with Vanilla Sky, so I find the cover very exciting. Other than that, yes, this is Bob Dylan.

This was the best Dylan album I have heard so far. Still only getting 2* anyway.

Some cinematic country. Not really my genre and the incredibly high pitch and loud harmonica ruins the end of lots of the songs.

The album starts off great with one of his best songs. Tjen the album continues in the exact same vein, but with lesser songs. Track 6 and 7 are ok, but there is not much variety and the songs just pass one after another, and when you think the album is finished, there are still 3-4 songs left

All meh tbh

3/7 Bob Dylan albums down. I would say this is better than the previous Bob Dylan albums I've had, but it's getting a 2 because I don't like that this project has made the Spotify algorithm think I like Bob Dylan.

Boring. Not for me

I can’t stand his voice

nao e minha pira

Ok, comfy, mas ainda nao me desce muito folk

Not bad as background music, the further back the better.

I cannot reiterate this enough. I do not like Bob Dylan's voice. I greatly appreciate his guitar playing and his song writing, but the way he ends each line is like nails on a chalkboard. He refuses to hold a note until it actually ends and is singling like he's shouting. This album does have two of my favorite songs from this era of folk (see below). I also recognize the cultural and musical importance of Bob Dylan. I just don't want to hear him sing his own songs. Favorite Song(s): Blowin' in the Wind, Don't Think Twice, It's Alright

Bob please I'm so bored

Just not for me

better than blonde on blonde but still not great

One or two good songs, the rest, typical Dylan 🥱

It's not bad, the lyrics are really creative. The only thing is it seems to repeat a delivery style that gets kind of old. To listen to every once in a while it's probably pretty good. I guess I'm just not a Bob Dylan fan.

Great album, slightly dated

Not a fan of this kind of music anyway, and Dylan’s voice is grating.

I think I've found a nuanced and novel critique for Mr. Dylan. My most original thought. I don't like his voice. Don't go gay Bob Rating:5/10 (Full points for writing, -5 for the voice) Favorite Song:

Someone take away that man's harmonica this instant! Unless one were drunk and had given up entirely on life, I can't imagine another reason to willfully select this off the shelf when there are SOOO many other things to listen to in this world. But to prove I'm not a monster (or a bot programed to lower the global scores of this challenge), I'll give it a 2 because there are moments of good song writing here - just zero moments of good song performing.

This was rather boring. I will give him a little bit of credit, as he seems to be a good songwriter. But Bob does need to put down the harmonica. It was borderline violent to listen to him blow into that death whistle the entire time.

Folk, strumming on the porch at a ranch house - Nice harmonica and guitar - Quite boring

Oh right, THIS is the Dylan I was wary of when I saw Blonde on Blonde come up earlier.

Timothée chalamet sounds so different

i’m sorry, i’m really not the demographic for this. maybe i’ll come to appreciate bob dylan’s music when i’m in the right mood. for now, it just sounds really indistinct to me. folk music just isn’t for me i guess. DNFed this one :/

Can't be bothered to write a melody; Can't be bothered to sing a whole line; Can't be bothered to tune his guitar; But he's a musical geEEEEEEEEEnius. Because the words, the Words, the WOOOOOOORDS Well I can't HEAR the words; cuz the man is obviously wrestling with ConstipAAAAAtion.

I don't like it because it isn't the type of music I like and I cant really hear him singing I would recommend it to people that like this type of music.

I didn't like this album because it sounds like country music a bit, and Im not a fan of country music, I can't really understand the words he needs to talk louder. One thing I did like though was the rhythm of the instruments but not a fan of the lyrics. I recommend if you like country music.

i didnt like this ablum because the songs felt a little to old for me and the voice soiunded weird and cracky and sounded like he was losing his voice i wouldnt recommed to peoplen who dont like old music but if do listen to this

in my opinion I didn't really feel good or didn't like the first song. I like the second one only because the meaning. the third song I liked because of the background music

I don't like this because its not my type of music. I do like this album because it has a good beat.

classic, so influential to folk music

Too instrumental for preferences or my current feeling of life.

Day 82 - Forgot when this was generated lmao BBBBBBBBBoring. 2/5

Another Bob Dylan album that I thought was totally fine but all the songs nevertheless sound exactly the same.

He has a few songs I like, but a whole album is too much

Some songs I enjoyed but mostly wouldn't go back to listen as it's not the type of music I like.

Enough f'n Bob Dylan already.

This is the 3rd Dylan album given to me by this list and I'm still not a fan.

I tried, I really did. That harmonica sounds like an unoiled merry-go-round.

Lo siento. Lo he intentado muchas veces en la vida, pero no puedo con Bob Dylan. Me parece muy buen tipo, pero no encuentro la fascinación por su obra. El disco me pareció eterno y las canciones tremendamente repetitivas. No, no soy fan.

Might have been good if I lived in a small town and never heard rebellious music before. Jacob Dylan is the superior songwriter.

papo reto não suporto mais bob dylan

FFS, enough Bob now

2*s Not my thing

The start of the album is pretty classic but it's shimmer quickly erodes with each song. After "Don't Think Twice" you've about had enough of Bobby D's freewheelin. His finger-strumming and literature-style vocals were groundbreaking in the 60's but are only good for a few tracks before it starts to wear out. I don't deny that he's a good songwriter; his poetic lyrics, unique voice, and simple formula have created some true folk manifestos, but I'm more of a greatest hits listener here. A lot of this album was stream-of-consciousness over sloppy harmonica and I just don't need 50 minutes of it. 1.85 for the raw, messy acoustic set by Bob Allen Dylan Thomas Guthrie.

Sounds like Dylan was freewheelin as a hobo down the tracks on this album. The simple folkie tunes combo with harmonica and lyrics of struggles made me think of a rogue tramp hopping railcars and eating baked beans from a can. A lot of the same formula that made it tough to distinguish songs. Dylan can write and he gets better with age. This was a little weak and silly at times...1.8.

nicht mein geschmack und sehr repetitiv, aber in einem sommerlicheren setting kann ich es mir besser vorstellen 3/10

Acoustically strumming Bob Dylan with loads and loads and loads of droning verses in each song is not my favourite Bob Dylan.

I was starting to understand why he is an icon. he is a poet not a singer. but this album just kept going and going. I think its the absurdity of it, and that's why people liked it. He is his generation's skibidy toilet. and probably one of the first versions of that. an excuse for kids to say you don't understand. Is it good? no. Did he do it first? well he was the most famous first. guess that gives him a 2. Looking forward to giving the rest of these ones, because I know this isn't the only dylan album...

Blowing in the wind is good

Part of me hates this. I know it makes me a bad person.

I get that Bob Dylan has been instrumental to music but sometimes you want to listen to something else.

I totally see the appeal. Unique and charming vocals. Honestly, I can see myself really enjoying this album on a cool night sitting around a campfire. But in reality, I was bored through a good chunk of listening to this. And when I wasn't bored, I was annoyed at the shrilling harmonica.

I'm what world do you not time your guitar before recording a track?!?

Great songs, hate his voice.

Not a big fan

This has a few songs I like but I’m not really into Bob Dylan

It's just not for me. Most of the songs sound very similar. I also found myself wondering how young he was when he made this. The lyrics all sound like they were written by a 60 year old world-weary person. Was he just continuing a folk tradition and lifting lines and phrases from what came before? I have no idea, and I'm sure many enjoy it, but it's not my bag, man.

Slight "influential bump" to 2 stars, but my god do I not get Bob Dylan.

Still waiting for the day that I hear a Dylan record and something 'clicks'. Today was not that day.

Bob Dylan is just so damn borin

I'm sorry but the difference, to me, between solo Dylan and Dylan+emseble is huge. This record makes me want to punch the harmonica of his face

I dislike Dylan and this isn't really an exception.

Like kje sånn musikk

It was very folksy. Not a big fan of Dylan’s cadence and a bit too much harmonica for my taste.

Great musical Talent, awful voice. I recognize the greatness of this album & Dylan in general. But this one felt like a chore...

It's Bob Dylan

bad bob dylan

I know the joke about Bob Dylan is that all his songs sound the same but hear me out, they all sound the same. 3/10

You need to be sitting in on the back deck with a drink looking out over nature and then I think you can listen to this fully… ok kidding but really it’s an OK album, clearly original compositions and not his best work

Interesting. Too accoustic for me.

I know people love Dylan. I am not one of them. This album does nothing for me although I can respect the people that enjoy his writing.

There's just a whole lot of stuff in this album that gets in the way of the lyrics. The voice. The harmonica. His affectation. Sometimes the guitar is out of tune. Dylan is all about the words, and I really want to (and sometimes do) like the words, but I wish it wasn't so hard. On the bright side, I'm a sucker for songs about longing, regrets, lost loves, etc. "Girl from the North Country" and especially "Bob Dylan's Dream" both did the trick for me. I've always liked "Don't Think Twice It's All Right" aside from the harmonica. Honestly man there's just way too much harmonica.

Correcto

Typical Dylan stuff. Average and hugely overrated.

Made me realize I get triggered by the sound of harmonicas. Maybe I am getting old.

Ah Bob, you nasally voiced troubadour, you write a good song but your music can get kind of irritating

It just doesn't really do anything for me, wouldn't go out of my way to listen to this again

There is a lot of historical value to the album and interesting from an American cultural perspective but I did not enjoy listening to the album

ooooh I remember this album cover from Vanilla Sky. I really hate his voice. 2 stars only cause I knew a couple of these because Peter Paul and Mary redid them better 2 stars

3/10, скучно

Mostly forgettable. Mouth organ gets a bit grating at times. A few redeemable tracks.

was thinking 2 or 3. but went with 2 because really why do we need to many bob dylan albums on here

i'm not really feeling this one too much. just a dude, his guitar and his harmonica. singing about the world... nothing interesting i'm afraid. it's not that the songs are bad, certainly better than what i could write but... i dunno it's just not hitting. at all. it's the kind of songwriter guitar music that'll get you bored to tears. and i hate saying that because that sounds mean but... i just didn't enjoy it too much. i know bob dylan has made better.

Folk music. I appreciated some of the songs but thought they’ve been covered better by other artists. Just seemed to me that he didn’t sing his songs with any emotion and so it all felt a little flat. Not much to differentiate the songs from each other either.

Mikil áhrif frá tónlist svartra, áhugavert, nennti ekki alveg að klára.

Count me among those that just don't 'get it' with Dylan. But hey, if nasal droning is your thing, you're in for a nice ride.

10/10 harmonica solo but not my music genre

Yucky, every song sounded the same tbh. I know it's Bob Dylan but overrated as fuck in my opinion. Bob Vylan's the better Bob. Would be 2.5 but alas no half stars:(

I mean... It's Bob Dylan. I've heard him do much better. This is basically just his voice, an acoustic guitar, and a harmonica. If you like his voice, it's a solid album. I'm not a big fan of his singing cadence so when the album is centered on that, it's not my favorite.

Not a fan of Bob Dylan.

Bob Dylan still approaches singing in key like a drunk man pissing from a height into a beer bottle. Occasionally he is on target and we all get to feel good about that. Sometimes, for no apparent reason, he increases volume for a second and sprays everywhere. At least there are some decent and recognisable songs here, the guitar playing is interesting, but I still think this is emperor's new clothes territory.

The album titles screams “hey, I wanna hold your hand” Beatles type music from Bob Dylan. Then you press play and you are lightly socked in the mouth with protest music. I couldn’t get through this one. I’m all for slow, acoustic driven music but there is no change in the delivery of each song as it passes by. That’s probably just Bob Dylan at this time of his life but that life isn’t for me

Dear Lord did I really need to hear this? I skipped the first track because I've heard it enough, the second song was solid and gave me hope. The third and fourth songs? What the actual f. It really sounds like some dude who is half in the bag that decided bringing his guitar to the party would be super cool. It's not.

Dylan has good songs, even great... when someone else is covering them.
