It feels more like spoken poetry, but I don't typically like country music, so not the target audience for this album. Favourite track: Don't Think Twice, It's All Right
The thing about Bob Dylan, yes, he's an amazing song writer. Legendary. But he's got an annoying voice and an annoying harmonica. There are very few Dylan songs I like or can even stand to listen to. And none of them are on this album.

The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind The answer is blowin' in the wind** Highlights: - "Blowin' in the Wind" - fair play, this is an undeniably decent track, primarily in terms of lyrics, if a little overplayed. - The vocal hiccups in "Down the Highway" because they made me laugh out loud. - "Corrina, Corrina" - I bafflingly almost liked Dylan's vocals in this track, which seems noteworthy. - "Honey, Just Allow Me Once More Chance" - I defy anyone to claim the vocals in this song aren't hilarious. I appreciate the sentiment behind the lyrics - I think the messaging is much clearer in the songs here, and it certainly helps my understanding of why Dylan is praised for his lyrics in general. However, there's still too many elements that just make me cringe; the out-of-place harmonica, the out-of-tune guitar in "Bob Dylan's Dream", the aforementioned hiccups, the accent in "Oxford Town", some of the rhyming dictionary lyrics (I'm looking at you "I Shall Be Free")... It's still just Bob Dylan and I just don't think Dylan's vocals will ever be enjoyable for me. High 2. The best Dylan entry on this list so far, as weak as that compliment is. Still on the painful side. ** I wrote this review before it was pointed out to me that the second most popular review on this list is basically the same joke. I'm keeping it as written though because I was proud of it initially.

As Bob Dylan albums go, this one is very listenable. He's legit singing on this. There's no denying he's a very talented wordsmith. His messages come across loud and clear. I completely understand why, and agree that, this is a culturally important album. It was born during a volatile time in our nation's history. But, thankfully, that doesn't mean it's without humor. "Talkin' World War III Blues" shows serious themes can be treated tongue in cheek. As for repeat listening? For me, not so much. I have a pretty low tolerance for protest songs. I'd have to be in a very particular mood to listen to his voice. His harmonica playing is horrendous. Respect for this album and those who dig it. Just not for me.

great lyrics, overal just a bit too much of the same. not the greatest fan of his voice. i like the songs with harmonica more than the song without. he's a good story teller, i just want more instruments on the song. talking world war 3 is just him telling a story about how everyone thinks he's crazy (he is). He should've been an author instead of a singer songwriter cause he has great story's just not my kind of songs. bro sings like he's a comedian or something. not my thing 4/10
I feel like the Rolling Stones fall into two categories for me – stuff of theirs I think is groundbreaking, really awesome, and showcases their talent, and other stuff that makes me think they're overhyped, just average, and not my jam. This album is the latter.

I wasn't the biggest fan of this album but I don't often listen to blues or country style music at all. I also offten listen to faster pased music with deeper tones as in like lots of layerd instruments at different pitches or just faster tempo music. This is the first album of this website I've listened to so idk if my ranking is fair I should come back to it later and do a proper in-depth listen. It was quite relaxing tho so I did enjoy that but overall it wasn't my favourite

Bob Dylan is such a well-known, and well-loved musician. I found the vocals hard to listen to; it was too much like he was talk-singing. But it's hard to beat the story-telling.
He's the best example of 'separating the artist from the art' that I know of. I have massive respect for Bob Dylan. But his music is mostly wank

Bob Dylan? Now that's a name i haven't heard in a long time. I already thought that the first album i did by him (Bringing It All Back Home) was mediocre and so is The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan, in fact I'd put it below the former. It is kinda a shame since i do see quite a fair bit of promise with Dylan's songwriting as it did feel rather interesting for 1963. My main issue with this album though, is the music. This is really a case of if you heard one song, you've heard them all and quite a bit of the songs on offer (especially the longer ones) got really repetitive after a bit. I guess i should have seen this coming since i'm not a big Bob Dylan fan but i'm still just not a huge fan of this album. Best Song: Masters of War Worst Song: A Hard Rain's A-Gonna Fall

I've never liked Dylan. His voice grates on me. He might be a great poet but I just can't hear what a lot of other people do. This is one of the more famous albums and it has songs like blowin in the wind and a hard rain's a gonna fall on but I just couldn't get into it. A hard listen for me and I sometimes wish I could get more from Dylan as the people that love him, really love him.
Ok ok we get it. You can play the harmonica. I guess I don't really like that instrument. It was really starting to annoy me.

I don't know how this can be hailed as a groundbreaking masterpiece. To me, Hard Rain and Don't Think Twice aside, it is slight, laboured and strained.

God there is just endless Bob Dylan on this list. 1001 Bob Dylan Albums. Probably the most harmonica one filled yet. Actually a bit painful at times, even as a harmonica lover.

Try not to mention a highway challenge: impossible First two songs are good, the rest sound like this: "Ohhh I doodled my pen, 'til I ran out of ink. Found a new girl and I pounded her pink. *harmonica solo*"
I went into this looking back and thinking that I quite enjoyed Highway 61 Revisited. I quickly realised that most of the songs basically sound the same and Bob has the vocabulary of a 6-year old who just discovered rhyming pairs. The harmonica is sometimes a nice touch, but only as it's an excuse for him to stop fucking talking for a while. Draining.
Another Bob Dylan album, and just like the others I see why people like it, but it's just not for me

I wish I liked your music more, Bob. Because you’re really cool. But it’s just not my style. I find his sort of rambling singing style endearing though. He’s just saying what he wants. I like that. But this isn’t something I’d listen to again. But I feel bad because this album isn’t something that should be critiqued and rated. It’s just something someone made cus they wanted to. It’s a showcase of pure messy and nonsense humanness. I don’t think Bobs intention was to make a musically genius and outstanding album. He just made it because he liked making it. And the fact that that pure unconditional need to pour your true soul into something, without worrying whether or not the outcome is conventional and meets expectations shines through his songs is reason enough to give this album three stars. But because I want to stick to my rating system of rating these albums based on how much I enjoyed them — this is getting two stars. Sorry Bob.
Rating: 1.7 It wasn’t unpleasant per se, but it was kind of like listening to ambient noise. He just drones on forever about shit that doesn’t matter and randomly plays a harmonica in between. Making that sound moderately pleasant at all is in fact a talent but as of now I’m in the minority of people who just don’t enjoy this guy. I guess I have like 10 more albums to find out for sure.

Two stars for two good songs
It's a nice album. I think? I’ve just never really been a big fan of Bob Dylan. He’s fine, I can respect what he’s doing, and I get that he's a huge figure in music history, but I never find myself wanting to play his songs. Most of the time, I just find them a bit boring. He feels like a bit of a marmite (or vegemite??) artist, you either love him or you don’t, and I just don’t. There are a couple of tracks that stand out, sure, but overall I’m not really sure when or why I’d ever put this album on. I’m not planning any campfire singalongs or sitting on a veranda with a toothpick and a thousand-yard stare anytime soon. The album is fiiiiiine, I get its place in the world, but it’s just not for me. And yeah, it weirdly makes me feel like a bad person to say that… but it just does not hit.
I'm sure we'll be getting a fair bit of this guy, so here goes. I really like the album cover. It's really sweet. My brother owned a copy of one of his albums (Blonde on Blonde, maybe?) and it just showed a grumpy looking man on the front. Uninviting. This cover actually made me WANT to listen to this album. 'Blowin' in the Wind' was nice. But as the album went on, the nice disappeared. By the end, it felt like he was just rambling. 'Talking World War III Blues' I could liken to a guy who shouts random comments on Courtnay Place in my hometown. There are some little moments of respite, 'Corrina Corrina' is a nice one. But am I the only person who doesn't like his harmonica playing. His songbook has been reproduced by everyone, Albert Hammond Jr did 'Dont think twice, it's alright' a few years back. I was actually annoyed to discover it was a Dylan tune. So, is it fiiiiiiiine? It's okay. I wouldn't listen again. Country folk that wasn't promised by the mood set on that cover. Speaking of judging things the cover... Nope, I don't have a snappy line to go out on. 2 Stars.
Can't get on with Bob Dylan.
That voice. That harmonica. Those are the two things I absolutely can't stand about Bob Dylan's music. Every cover I've heard of a Bob Dylan song is automatically 1000x better than the original just by virtue of not having Dylan's voice on it. Everything else about this album is fantastic. The guitar playing. The songwriting. Phenomenal. 5 stars for the songwriting and guitar playing. -1 stars for the vocals and harmonica. Averages out to 2 stars.
I accidentally looped it a few times without realising it was replaying. It’s nice, some funnies, but ultimately quite plain for me.
Better than the previous listen of him from this list, but I’m tired of the obnoxious screeching harmonica. I do not agree with the general opinion that Dylan is a great lyricist. Overhyped and irritating music

I like Blowin' In The Wind. Happy now, 1001 Album Generator?! Can you give me a break from the bloody Bob Dylan albums now, please!? Seriously, I've had 120 albums generated so far and four have been sodding Bob sodding Dylan! That's too much Bob in too little time! Each new Bob Dylan album gets me more and more annoyed at the lack of They Might Be Giants albums making the cut, and I'm trying to not let it influence the rankings, but my goodness it's tricky. I found his voice marginally less annoying on this one than the last three, but not enough to make me actively want to listen to it again. 2/5

Listen, I completely understand Dylan's impact on music and the cultural zeitgeist of the 1960s. I think he's a great songwriter who can put together very impactful lyrics. That said, his voice and performance style are just awful, so whiny, grating, and unpleasant. I like A Hard Rain's A-Gonna Fall. This is a 2/5 for me.
I liked the first couple tracks, but after that this drifted off into a worse direction.
I don’t really get Dylan. Is it a generational thing ? Or maybe it’s cultural, and you need to be American to fully appreciate his relevance. He’s not a bad artist, he certainly contributed something to music – but I don’t think he deserves the gigantic amount of praise he gets, either. He might be a fine songwriter and composer, but he’s neither a very good singer nor a very good instrumentalist. Anyway. This album kind of embodies all the gripes I have with Dylan. It starts really well, with an iconic song that I always enjoy listening. Then the songs start piling up... and they all sound exactly the same. There’s very little variation, very little risk-taking, all the tracks rely on the same structures and vocal gimmicks. And the harmonica... so much harmonica... It all feels a bit flat and lifeless – like Dylan’s voice – and you end up wondering where it’s all going, and wether he will display more passion at some point (spoiler : he won’t). There’s nothing really wrong with any of the songs taken separately... but by the end of the album, I was just bored out of my mind. Maybe I just have to accept that Dylan must be enjoyed only at very small doses.
Occasionally I do look for something harmonica heavy, and this is great for that mood. Otherwise, I don't imagine myself replaying the work. I appreciate it for its contributions to the art, but it's a pretty difficult listen if you're not hoping to be transported to the 1960s.
I am fully prepared to hate an album that opens with Blowin’ in the Wind. However, it’s got Don’t Think Twice… It’s Alright, so it redeems itself. This is not the album for me. It’s whiny, screeching and sprawling. I know everyone says it’s influential, but is it? It popularised folk music, but it wouldn’t exist without Woodie Guthrie or Pete Seeger/The Weavers. It’s mixed like it pop music, with the vocals way high up in the mix, and he crams too many syllables into a line. Bob Dylan is a great lyricist, but my god he’s harsh on the eardrums!
Dylan again. I still don't like his voice and the way he sings, but it's worse on his later records. The harmonica is annoying almost all the time.

Truth to tell, I was not quite as annoyed as I thought I would be. Having only heard small bits of Bob's songs throughout my life, and a million people mocking his voice, I really thought I'd hate all of it. When I saw this come up as the album of the day, I was prepared to quit each song less than halfway through. But I got through the majority of them to leave a fair review. Perhaps since this is earlier in his career, his nasal twang is not as present as it is in some later recordings. Perhaps he leaned into it more later. I mean, it's not good or pleasant here, it just gets worse later. The big thing everyone says is that Bob is a poet. I mean... I guess. But they're so steamrolled by his weak singing and bad harmonica. He's no Charlie Musselwhite or John Popper. It come out blaring against the steady acoustic guitars. Many songs, like Blowing in the Wind and Masters of War, have some good imagery and turns of phrase. But I prefer the versions by other people. Even right now, I've gone back to play the songs to confirm the poetic nature, but can't listen through and just read the lyrics to say they're pretty good. I'll end with this. I appreciate the man's writing and the influence he's had, but I will never just put it on to have a listen.
Prolific songwriter and some iconic songs so there’s no doubt that this shouldn’t be on here. BUT… while I like a few of the songs (the ones everyone else likes) listening to the whole album was borderline painful. There’s only so much plicky pluck + suck suck blow + mumbly statement (all technical terms) one person can handle. 1 star for the prominence and 1 star for the song I like. I much preferred him in American Psycho, Benjamin Button, Batman, Paddington, The Jackal, Be Kind, Rewind and Dune.
I always think I quite like Bob Dylan until I start listening to him. I find his story pretty fascinating but I could do without listening to the records. I went to see him live in the early 2000s - what a long night that was. He got ten minutes into one song before I realised it was Blowing in the Wind. As with so many of the classic, hugely influential albums from the birth of the pop record, it sounds very much of its time today, but I’m glad it exists.
BOB. PUT THE HARMONICA DOWN. This is the second Bob Dylan album I've gotten from this list, the first being Blonde on Blonde. I enjoyed this, Blowin in the wind and Girl from the north country set a lovely cosy tone for this album, but oh my GOD its ruined everytime by the screech of that stupid harmonica. I read another review that said there are seven Bob Dylan albums on this list, meaning I've five more sets of harmonica screeches to endure. RIP me.
Bob Dylan's an icon who's adored by millions of people and has influenced generations of musicians. I'm not among either group. I appreciate what he's done and where this album stands in music history, but it does nothing for me.

I had high hopes going into this record, but I left just a bit disappointed. Album started off great with Blowin' in the Wind, a beautiful song lyric and composition wise, but every song after just left me wanting more of the first track. I just didn't connect with it as much as I had hoped to. Favourite Tracks: Blowin' in the Wind, Don't Think Twice, It's All Right. Least Favourite Tracks: Everything Else.
Don’t Think Twice is an old favorite and one of the first songs I learned to play on the guitar. I love Dylan, and wanted to enjoy this album more, but I found the harmonica grating. It could be that I was just in the wrong mood for it at the time, because I just found myself antsy and wanting to get through to the end. I’ll have to give it another go because I still listen to Bob Dylan regularly, this full album just started irritating me, though.

Ik kan het niet. Ik kan gewoon echt niets met de stem van Bob Dylan. Sorry, en dit gaat letterlijk elke recensie voor elk Bob Dylan album terugkomen, omdat de beste man gewoon zo'n ontzettend herkenbare stem heeft. En ik doe echt mn best, ik wil het best wel mooi vinden, want de teksten zijn top. Het is niet heel spannend qua instrumenten, maar goed. Dit is fucking Bob Dylan. 1 van de bekendste zangers aller tijden. Maar ik kan het niet, ik vind het verschrikkelijk. Bob zou er vast een prachtig liedje over schrijven. Maar ik ben geen Bob. 2 sterren, het is vast fantastisch als je je kan zetten over het zeikerige nasale geluid dat Bob zingen noemt. Gefeliciteerd, dan ben je een beter mens dan ik!

This guy and his f*@$ing voice for almost an hour. If I give him two whole stars he can thank the harmonica, and the fact that he wrote Don’t Think Twice its Alright, even though I don’t like his performance of it.

First time, I didn't get it. Second time, I also didn't get it. In fact, I also felt way more often that the guitar in some songs feels a bit out of tune, and it is annoying. I'm very picky about singer-songwriter, and Bob Dylan in this album doesn't do anything of my interest, as I find the singing and the guitar playing a bit bland. And I know that a lot of this album comes from the lyrics, but it is just not enough for me.
Had prolly 3 or 4 good songs, the rest were clones and kinda bland

Don’t think Bob’s for me - there are a few songs that are so profound and capture an important sentiment, but the rest blur and I found it hard to connect.
Not looking forward to this one, I've gotta say. I used to think I was just sort of indifferent to Bob Dylan but after listening to a few of his albums from this list I can say that I actually quite dislike Bob Dylan. It's just irritating. Lyrically, he's great. Not as good as people who fawn all over him claim him to be, but a better lyricist than musician for sure. And for the love of god not every break in singing needs to be filled with harmonica. His voice is grating but not in a good way. I mean Neil Young can't really sing either but it works for him and I like it. Bob Dylan is just irritating. Part of the problem with this album is that I feel like a lot of the songs could be great if someone else recorded them - Masters of War could be amazing. Sorry Bob, I'm just not a fan. 2/5

I know he’s from Minnesota, so I should love him, but Bob Dylan is just not my jam.
I was excited for this. I like a bit of Bob Dylan but ultimately it wasn’t great. Like A Rolling Stone is a great start to the album but I felt it got weaker as it went on. I’m not someone who hates Bob’s voice and I still quite enjoyed it on this album, the folksiness of it and the of course his harmonica are all great. I just felt that it didn’t come together as good as I wanted it to.

I tried, I really tried, but I just can’t see the attraction. A quintessential folk album of lost love, anti-war and love found. Bob tells his tales, but nothing that keeps my interest. He was good for his time, I guess.

Some cinematic country. Not really my genre and the incredibly high pitch and loud harmonica ruins the end of lots of the songs.
The album starts off great with one of his best songs. Tjen the album continues in the exact same vein, but with lesser songs. Track 6 and 7 are ok, but there is not much variety and the songs just pass one after another, and when you think the album is finished, there are still 3-4 songs left

I cannot reiterate this enough. I do not like Bob Dylan's voice. I greatly appreciate his guitar playing and his song writing, but the way he ends each line is like nails on a chalkboard. He refuses to hold a note until it actually ends and is singling like he's shouting. This album does have two of my favorite songs from this era of folk (see below). I also recognize the cultural and musical importance of Bob Dylan. I just don't want to hear him sing his own songs. Favorite Song(s): Blowin' in the Wind, Don't Think Twice, It's Alright

It's not bad, the lyrics are really creative. The only thing is it seems to repeat a delivery style that gets kind of old. To listen to every once in a while it's probably pretty good. I guess I'm just not a Bob Dylan fan.

Someone take away that man's harmonica this instant! Unless one were drunk and had given up entirely on life, I can't imagine another reason to willfully select this off the shelf when there are SOOO many other things to listen to in this world. But to prove I'm not a monster (or a bot programed to lower the global scores of this challenge), I'll give it a 2 because there are moments of good song writing here - just zero moments of good song performing.
This was rather boring. I will give him a little bit of credit, as he seems to be a good songwriter. But Bob does need to put down the harmonica. It was borderline violent to listen to him blow into that death whistle the entire time.

The start of the album is pretty classic but it's shimmer quickly erodes with each song. After "Don't Think Twice" you've about had enough of Bobby D's freewheelin. His finger-strumming and literature-style vocals were groundbreaking in the 60's but are only good for a few tracks before it starts to wear out. I don't deny that he's a good songwriter; his poetic lyrics, unique voice, and simple formula have created some true folk manifestos, but I'm more of a greatest hits listener here. A lot of this album was stream-of-consciousness over sloppy harmonica and I just don't need 50 minutes of it. 1.85 for the raw, messy acoustic set by Bob Allen Dylan Thomas Guthrie.
Sounds like Dylan was freewheelin as a hobo down the tracks on this album. The simple folkie tunes combo with harmonica and lyrics of struggles made me think of a rogue tramp hopping railcars and eating baked beans from a can. A lot of the same formula that made it tough to distinguish songs. Dylan can write and he gets better with age. This was a little weak and silly at times...1.8.

Acoustically strumming Bob Dylan with loads and loads and loads of droning verses in each song is not my favourite Bob Dylan.
I was starting to understand why he is an icon. he is a poet not a singer. but this album just kept going and going. I think its the absurdity of it, and that's why people liked it. He is his generation's skibidy toilet. and probably one of the first versions of that. an excuse for kids to say you don't understand. Is it good? no. Did he do it first? well he was the most famous first. guess that gives him a 2. Looking forward to giving the rest of these ones, because I know this isn't the only dylan album...

Part of me hates this. I know it makes me a bad person.
I get that Bob Dylan has been instrumental to music but sometimes you want to listen to something else.
I totally see the appeal. Unique and charming vocals. Honestly, I can see myself really enjoying this album on a cool night sitting around a campfire. But in reality, I was bored through a good chunk of listening to this. And when I wasn't bored, I was annoyed at the shrilling harmonica.

It's just not for me. Most of the songs sound very similar. I also found myself wondering how young he was when he made this. The lyrics all sound like they were written by a 60 year old world-weary person. Was he just continuing a folk tradition and lifting lines and phrases from what came before? I have no idea, and I'm sure many enjoy it, but it's not my bag, man.

I know people love Dylan. I am not one of them. This album does nothing for me although I can respect the people that enjoy his writing.
There's just a whole lot of stuff in this album that gets in the way of the lyrics. The voice. The harmonica. His affectation. Sometimes the guitar is out of tune. Dylan is all about the words, and I really want to (and sometimes do) like the words, but I wish it wasn't so hard. On the bright side, I'm a sucker for songs about longing, regrets, lost loves, etc. "Girl from the North Country" and especially "Bob Dylan's Dream" both did the trick for me. I've always liked "Don't Think Twice It's All Right" aside from the harmonica. Honestly man there's just way too much harmonica.

Folk music. I appreciated some of the songs but thought they’ve been covered better by other artists. Just seemed to me that he didn’t sing his songs with any emotion and so it all felt a little flat. Not much to differentiate the songs from each other either.

I mean... It's Bob Dylan. I've heard him do much better. This is basically just his voice, an acoustic guitar, and a harmonica. If you like his voice, it's a solid album. I'm not a big fan of his singing cadence so when the album is centered on that, it's not my favorite.

Bob Dylan still approaches singing in key like a drunk man pissing from a height into a beer bottle. Occasionally he is on target and we all get to feel good about that. Sometimes, for no apparent reason, he increases volume for a second and sprays everywhere. At least there are some decent and recognisable songs here, the guitar playing is interesting, but I still think this is emperor's new clothes territory.
The album titles screams “hey, I wanna hold your hand” Beatles type music from Bob Dylan. Then you press play and you are lightly socked in the mouth with protest music. I couldn’t get through this one. I’m all for slow, acoustic driven music but there is no change in the delivery of each song as it passes by. That’s probably just Bob Dylan at this time of his life but that life isn’t for me
Dear Lord did I really need to hear this? I skipped the first track because I've heard it enough, the second song was solid and gave me hope. The third and fourth songs? What the actual f. It really sounds like some dude who is half in the bag that decided bringing his guitar to the party would be super cool. It's not.

This one was more of a miss for me. I didn't think the music itself was all that complex or interesting. A few different guitar chords on each song. I think its mostly the lyrics that are supposed to be so great, but it just kind of droned on and on. I get they are powerful like "Masters of War", but I got bored.
I prefer the simplicity of this in comparison to other Dylan albums I have been subjected to, and it did evoke a particular time as I listened to it. However, Johnny Cash did this sort of thing so much better, and more playfully. My attention drifted by about the 5th song.
I found this very cold listening. For all his lyrical genius, it sounded more like a shopping list being read out by a dude in the subway. Talkin' World War III Blues was a little unsettling to hear once again

Sorry, I just don't enjoy listening to this. I've tried. Quite a few times. I just find it boring.

Oy. That fucking harmonica! I swear. I was halfway through Girl from the North Country, and genuinely falling in love with the song. For once, there was a truly beautiful song from Bob Dylan, that I could actually enjoy. And then that motherfucking harmonica came screaming out of nowhere, for no good reason. And now I just want to cry. Masters of War is great. There’s no question that his songwriting is brilliant. It’s clear why this record landed like a bomb on the youth culture of the time. The influence off this one is ridiculous. Everyone from Bruce Springsteen to Beck has tried to do their version of this album. Down the Highway, A Hard Rain, Don’t Think Twice, Corrina Corrina - all solid. Except for that goddamn harmonica. Like, if this album just didn’t have that painful mini bagpipe screeching through every song, I would genuinely love the fuck out of this album. But as it is, I have to stop, or I’m going to smash something. Seriously, how much do I need to drink, to make this stop hurting my brain? I tried. All the parts without the harmonica were very nice. But I still prefer covers of Bob Dylan songs, just because of that arrestingly painful harmonica. Please kill me. It hurts.

As quite a keen urbanist I can't help but feel like most of Bob's issues with roads could have been solved with a decent rail network. The parts of this that were a protest album were pretty good, but it was brought down by the bits that were a love letter to a vision of a country that I think sounds like hell. 2/5. Needs more harmonica.
Honestly Bob, I could have done with a lot more structured wheelin’. I generally enjoy Bob Dylan and can understand why this was a landmark album, but I struggle to enjoy this 62 years later, especially over some of his later material.
I am certainly more of a Bob Dylan fan now, but I’m just not into most of his songs and harmonica playing on this record.
Bob Dylan is undoubtedly one of the greatest songwriters ever, it's just unfortunate that he's the one singing the songs. Some of these weren't too bad, but between Bob Dylan's grating voice and the often ear-piercingly sharp harmonica, it's not always the most pleasant of listens.

I have to say I had doubts about the first song, but at the end I loved it, the instrumental chorus in my left ear is soo fun, plus the way he says the name of the song makes it more fun. This is a historical album so I'm not gonna see the meanings, because I have seen this one's and it was wayy too long, school vibes nuh-uh. I don't like that whole song sounds the same, second song has no particular uniqueness, oop nevermind that instrument came in, I love this song too. Has a karaoke vibe also. The guitar in my right ear is very fun indeed. Third song is again karaoke vibed, no weird instrument, which is bad. Quite basic, wouldn't listen to this one again. I do like the lyrics I must say. 4th song speeds up the guitar playing, love that. Nothing else is really different. Just his voice sometimes breaks on purpose. Finally weird instrument is back in 5th song, love love that.(I just don't know it's name I've heard of before obviously). I like this song just because of the "chaos" that instrument creates. 6th song, again amazing construction of the words, but such a boring song still. And 7 minutes. First time I backgrounded the song in this project. Magic instrument has lost itself in the 7th song, one thing that keeps me going is getting boring too. 8th song started like Beatles, yet it's another same-sounding uninteresting songg. It has the magnificent instrument, yet I feel like he could do more with that thing. I feel like he is a songwriter, but not a singer. I like folk but I guess not this type of one. 9th one is a short, and it has an unique sound of bob. This is the only song I find interesting in the way he sings it and it's short?! I said this about temptations too, these guys don't know what's actually good, or it's just me. Back with the lovely instrument in the 10th song, and with the not so good singing, Oxford town had better vocalss. Quite disappointed, but the lyrics are too good to ignore. 11th song has a character I think, it is repetitive but in a good way. Big instrumental break for the magic instrument, he thought of me, what a nice guy. 12th is the first one that starts with that cute instrument. Also it's upbeat?! Could have done this before, but yeah the theme is melancholic. This is what I mean by being different, little "hou hou"s was smth I didn't expect. Last song is also upbeat, what's happening to you Bob. Worst rhymes I've ever seen. Also this is apparently a rewrote song. I low key like the way he says names, which have connection to eachother obviously, which I don't know. To sum up, I'll rate this 2, just because of that weird(in a good way) instrument, otherwise this is a 1, I'd never want to listen to this, maybe nostalgia, but I can't listen to this just because it has a big meaning. I feel bad for rating temptations 1 and this 2, they were fun at least.

Honestly not my thing, which is fine. Definitely not a bad album by any means, but I would probably never revisit it. I think it was definitely an important album for its time, but it's just not something I would ever listen to (which ig is the point of this site). I honestly find Dylan's voice kind of annoying, which is most likely why I prefer his stuff with The Dead, The Band, or the Traveling Wilbury's, where other artists can pick up the slack.

I don’t think i’m a Bob Dylan fan tbh, I like some of the instrumentals on the album and the fact that his voice sounds so raw and not heavily edited or studio recorded. I just don’t think it’s my style of music, very slow and heavy relying on acoustic guitars.

I don't get Bob Dylan, and never will. I don't like his vocals or whiny lyrics, and his music is folk/country, so I just don't get why people think this his music is so legendary... I'd call it annoying.
It will be very interesting. If Mr. Dillon carries over to a next generation or S, the younger generation these days decide to pass him over and consider him boring. Outside of a few songs, I do not find him interested at all, and out that my kids will ever enjoy him.
