The Chronic
Dr. DreAnnoying lyrics lacking any intelectual worth or even just plain satisfaction. Braindead shit. Some instrumentals cool though.

One of my favorite albums of alltime, that's for sure - and the easiest 5/5 I gave here so far. This album is pure perfection and I am convinced it's one of the most important artistic statements in human history of music. Hey, I might be just a King Crimson glazer, but they were one of the pioneers of my favorite, most beloved progressive genres, so how could I not love them? In The Court Of The Crimson is one of the best choices to put on this list - it's also quite sad that the cover is so well known while I think not everyone who knows the cover listened to this album in full. King Crimson's debut has everything a prog album needs, and it was so ahead if its time. It has heaviness, melancholy, grandiose finish, it's just a perfect experience listening to it everytime.
This is a tough one, because it's not an accessible thing - very much not. But I am the kind of music enjoyer that loves experimental stuff like this, plus I've been listening to quite a lot of older Swans recently aaand today I just happily happened to be in a mood pretty much perfect for this experimental, apparently fiasco that is They Were Wrong, So We Drowned... As I am writing this review, Liars' sophmore album has a gorgeous average of 2,11/5 rating on 1001 Albums. And I am not surprised. It's not a thing for everyone, it can exhaust, it can bore, it can make an instant "what the fuck" pop up in your brain but I actually really enjoyed it. Not to the point of saving this album for later and coming back to it, but I did enjoy it a lot, and I am glad this list also has records like this. But to be fair, I am kinda surprised the creators decided to put Liars here but there is no Swans album in offcial list, while their albums - of a very similar genre and feel - were way more influential and feel like something that should really be listened to. Well, They Were Wrong, So We Drowned will stay with me as a pleasant, crazy memory for now, and I feel generous enough today to give it an unpopular rating of 4/5 stars. Thank you.
I think it was not a bad start of my journey. I enjoyed the instrumental part, the vocals not as much but I had a good time. Probably will never get back to this album but as a one time listen? I recommend.
Good album that made my morning better. I wouldn't mind listening to it again but I probably won't be coming back anytime soon.
I was rather excited when I saw I will listen to this album. After listening, it was both better and worse than I thoguht it would be. It was a good album, had some great songs, also some not as good, goofy ones, but overall it didn't feel like this great full artistic statement, and more like a lump of songs - enjoyable, well-written songs but my point is still there.
The worst album I heard so far here. So, it wasn't terrible, it wasn't good either. Some instrumentals were enjoyable but I am not really into rap and hip hop so vocally it wasn't really my thing. And of course the super cheesy lyrics that can be really offputting at times. I still enjoyed some moments but overall, this album is too long for its level.
Honestly one of the best live albums I've heard in my life so far. The sound quality was surprisingly great, I enjoyed it a lot. And it was a first album from this list that made me listen to it twice and not just once.
The best album here so far, and the first album I got that I knew already. I love Iron Maiden, they were the first metal band I listened to in my life (not surprising) - so, I have a special place in my heart for all Iron Maiden. Really really really great album with some of the most iconic songs. Damn, I wish this album had Bruce Dickinson. But yeah, this album made me happy when I saw that I got it.
I love Randy Newman, very nice album - few of the songs were really great, others just nice, so it wasn't anything crazy. Still, a very pleasant album even though I think some of the best Randy Newman songs are on his other albums.
Some of the songs were great, some of them were just okay but overall this album is a very good experience. It was the first Radiohead album I've heard in my life in full - thanks to the generator, since I've never gotten into them in the past. And I think it was worth it and I'll be coming back to this album once in a while. Amnesiac also reminded me of Insurgentes by Steven Wilson a little bit.
Another album I already knew and loved before I started the generator. Kate's music is just amazing - well, maybe not everything she made, but this album surely is phenomenal. It has some of my favorite Kate Bush songs, it's such a beautfiul experience to listen to it from start to finish. It's really worth listening.
The lyrics were obviously better than a lot of rap/hip hop lyrics but this album was so not interesting. I didn't make me want to turn it off immediatly but after some time I got tired of it. Some parts were nice, mostly when Lauryn Hill was on vocals.
It was... bad. This album had only 2 actually good songs for me, others were not good and I enjoyed only some seconds of cool samples or some riffs. Ill Communication was surely better. Still, I won't give this album a 1 because I did enjoy some parts of it but it was a disappointement.
It was bad. I don't remember enjoying a second of this album. It's a strong 1, almost 2 though since this album didn't immediatly make me want to turn it off but after not long I wanted it to end.
Beautiful, interesting, emotional, stressfull, intense, ahead of its time.
Surprisingly good for a hip hop/rap album but still not entirely my thing.
Not very interesting, bored me after a bit. It wasn't really terrible.
I've heard about Faith No More thorough the years of my life and I never checked them or anything, they felt like a not interesting band. So, I played the album and at first I didn't enjoy it much but with every second it got better. I didn't like the vocals at first but after a bit I got used to them and saw some good stuff in it - harsher vocals were cool too. And the bassist was just phenomenal. I'll be going back to this album now.
This is NOT what I expected. I've never heard anything from LCD Soundsystem before and after few seconds and snippets I didn't feel good about it, I expected something obnoxious and not very enjoyable. And well, it had some very goofy parts but it was super fun AND THEN... And then the final track came. This closer blew me away, like literally this song is so good, it's one of my favorite songs right now, I can't stop listening to it on repeat. It's perfect. And of course the rest of the album is also very great and I will be coming back to it a lot probably. Really really pleasant surprise.
Very pleasant album. I enjoyed the listen.
I am not sure if I will be coming back to this album any time soon or even at all but it was a beautiful album, very interesting, it was my thing. Great album.
Look, it wasn't really that bad, but yeah, it was boring and I didn't take much enjoyement from it. The only good thing I see here is that Harry Nilsson got inspirations but this album on its own was just... okay? And I don't like Fred Neil, sorry.
It was fun. Surely great for its time when it was made.
This album is a damn adventure. It has so many great songs and as a whole it's a perfect artistic statement from Led Zeppelin.
It was okay, but after half of the album I thought it would end soon but no. It was okay at best.
Good album, good music. I know Billie Holiday has phenomenal vocal skills but I am not a HUGE fan of her voice. I enjoyed the listen though.
Short but good.
I enjoyed some of it a bit I think.
Good album. Fun listen.
This album was way better than I could ever expect.
It was way better than I expected, few of the songs were actually really good comparing to what I expected and the rest was okay - but the album became very repetetive over some time.
It was surprisingly nice.
For some reason I expected something better. I am not sure why. Don't get me wrong - it was a cool album but nothing crazy.
It was bad, I feel asleep in the middle of the album and woke up for last two tracks. My brain told me it was as bad when I was asleep though.
Boring, annoying, only sometimes enjoyable. Vocals? Maybe she does have a big range and a strong voice but it wasn't nothing great to me. It was not horrible, but not good. And no real drums.
Very very interesting album - but short.
Ridiculous bullshit of an album.
Truly WONDERful album.
The medieval feeling was very good and got me interested in the album. Overall it was really good.

This phenomenal album surprised me in the best way possible. I never listened to The Smashing Pumpikns before, but I knew they exist and made themselves quite a repution. Damn, this album is so good, it was way heavier than I expected The Smashing Pumpikns to sound. Interesting, energetic, has a big variety but also very consistent. Great stuff.
Some of the instrumental parts were really great. When I heard first spoken words, I thought I won't make it through the whole album but after a little I didn't mind them. Overall it was good, but the whole concept and realization felt... uncomfortable. And Melody's laugh was annoying.
Yeah, fun album!
I love Carpenters. This album is a classic for sure - and listening to it made me tear up.
I will pretend like I haven't heard some diabolical stuff about Van Morrison as a person and I'll just say that this album is really great. Title track the best, it shined for me very much.
Very very nice - whole album very enjoyable, but the softer songs were better for sure, especially the longest track.
Annoying lyrics lacking any intelectual worth or even just plain satisfaction. Braindead shit. Some instrumentals cool though.
The title track is one of the most important and one of the best songs ever written, that's for sure. The whole album was very influenntial. Also, just without these facts - it's still a great album.
Haha goofy pirate music. Shiver me timbers, yarr matie!
Yeah, good album.
YEEHAAWWW!!! this is what a perfect country album is
Next album already please
One of the sounds of my childhood, absolute must listen for everyone.
Very interesting record, quite inaccessible for some - probably. Still worth listening.
Very pleasat.
For some time I felt like I am gonna choose mercy and give it a 3 but no, sorry, it's a 2 for me.
It had potential but it started to bore me not long after I started. And towards the end his vocals became annoying.
Such a nice album. And after reconsidering and buying a vinyl of this record, I can say I love this man's art.
I adore their music and this is such an amazing debut. The keys and guitar solos shine.
Way better, heavier and skillfull than I epected.
Kiss's music is not bad, but I don't like their oversexual aesthetic and I have more personal reasons that make them uncomfortable to me. But still, some quite cool songs.
Probably the best grunge record I've ever listened to so - at least at this point in life - I really fell in love with The Smashing Pumpkins and now I just want to relisten to their albums I know already. Mellon Collie is long, yeah, but doesn't feel too long at all. It's a beautiful 2 hour long journey that I am glad I could experience and can't wait for next time.
This was quite beautiful.
This is exactly what I needed that evening.
Way better than I expected. Heavier, too. Quite an interesting record, I might get back to it someday.
Better than last album of their I listened too, quite nice but after all it wasn't anything crazy. Instrumentally the best, the vocalist CAN sing but I am not a big fan of his voice. Still cool.
John Lemon the famous communist haha. Anyway, very nice, pleasant album. It had a really great keyboard part that I loved but suddenly something interrupted it. Well, the end of the song. It was so short, kinda disappointing after all. But it's just my little thing that I wanted to point out. Nice album.
It was quite fun but too long for this genre. Became repetetive after some time.
I am a proud prog nerd so I gotta talk a little bit about this absolute masterpiece. Even after more than 50 years, this album is still icojic and still sooo good. The intro and first bassline kickoff became very famous over last years and I am very glad, but unfortunate thing that very little of the people that know Roundabout from a meme actually know what is that genius music they're hearing. Fragile, just like In The Court Of The Crimson King, is one of the most important and essential albums of the genre, it helped to define it. Fragile is beautiful, energetic, but still has its mellow, but positive moments, the instrumental is ahead of its time, just a gorgeous record from start to finish. I also recommend people check out new Steven Wilson's remix of this album 'cause it's very good. So, my prog enthusiast heart adores Fragile, it's what I seek in music.
Very reletetive but I actually enjoyed it way more than I expected.
I am so sorry but it was a disappointement.
Very pleasant album.
One of the best hip hop albums I've ever heard - could be the best one. The instrumental was really good and the rap vocals didn't bother me. Fun.
Very good. This is such a great type of punk plus the saxophone!
Trash.
HEE HEEEE!
Interesting album. Very enjoyable and didn't feel too long, despite what the general opinion is. I liked the alt elements way more than country elements, but as I said - it was an interesting experience.
Nice, calm background music.
I was not expecting it to be such a nice and unique album. Very interesting and just well, very enjoyable.
Very pleasant and I want to relisten it for sure.
Very interesting, such a unique vibe.
Yellow Chilled Bell Peppers
I felt my arteries clogging with peanut butter, jelly and bacon sandwiches.
I wasn't expecting this to be so good. This needs relistening though, which will probably happen soon. This album gave me this darkish new wave sound, kinda old Duran Duran vibe. Great record.
Smaller amount of words made it only a little better than that album with a fat kid. I am still a Fatboy Slim hater, sorry Fatboy Slim enjoyers.
Evil Jack Black be like:
It was... Hm, better and worse than expected, but at the end of the day I REALLY enjoyed it so hey, why not give another 4, who cares.
These are some very nice keys right here.
Dad rock at its finest - too long for this kind of music though.
Started off worse, then got way better.
Enjoyable, interesting album. Last song very good.
Very very nice. ain't no way ahh album
Not bad
Surprisingly good, I was expecting something dull and boring, and also too long but it's actually very pleasant.
Just end my suffering already.
Ah, a breath of fresh air after the last album. This is good, really good. I think I will be coming back to this album, which maybe will even make this album go up in my rating, we will see. But I have to say I loved it, I just need to hear it few more times to decide if it will be one of my favorites.
That was very nice, good vocals, very positive sound.
I have to say, I've never been a big Metallica fan, that's for sure. On the other hand, this album has always been my favorite Metallica album. It's the most progressive album of theirs, it's really really pleasant with some classic songs and my favorites from the band. The only issue is of course the lack of bass, obviously - it's diabolical. But well, to be honest, I can't deny how influential Metallica always was and how much impact on metal music that I love they had. Add that to the fact that this list doesn't have that huge of a competition of my actually favorite albums besides a few, I might aswell rate this one like that...
Chill album, good for my yesterday's evening. I recommend.
To be honest, it's a great album with some classic hits, but as a whole it's not a masterpiece.
So this is what this whole Rush is about...
Better than expected but I am still not a hip-hop lover even though I am enjoying it more and more.
I was shooting metal ducks with an air gun while listemimng to this. Nice experimence and the music to it.
Great album for breakfast.
I am not sure if this album is a perfect choice for long sunny car drive but hey, I enjoyed it. And Harry Nilsson spirit is always welcomed.
I am radioheading it.
Enjoyable.
First of all... His name was Robert Paulson. Alright, now that we have a Fight Club reference behind us, I would like to actually talk about the album. So, wow, just wow. This is not what I expected. I haven't heard Meat Loaf's music before and mainly knew the guy from, well, Fight Club movie, but I did stumble upon his albums many times in record stores. The covers were really fun, including Bar Out Of Hell's cover, but I was expecting something that would sound more like ZZ Top or maybe Motorhead, but I was pleasantly surprised it was something more. The whole album sounded like combination of Elvis Presley, Queen, Frank Zappa, Kiss, 70's and 80's progressive rock, symphonic sound and also american vibes. The first track made me feel like this album might be perfect, this opening was so spectacular I couldn't let myself not smile, just pure happiness. Next songs weren't as perfect but Meat Loaf showed that he can make great music and I enjoyed the rest of the album almost on the same level. So, considering all the circumstances, I think that there is only one possible rating for this album. Pleasant surprise you were, Robert Paulson, pleasant surprise.
That was so good for a 2000's pop rock album, wow. Yes, it did have the pop rock sound but it also managed to mix it with some post riffs and general post-ish vibes, which was very pleasant to hear. The album also fit well to my sleepy mood I had at the moment of listening. I would actually recommend.
I think Ryan Adams wanted to tell everyone that to achieved happiness you need only two things. Harmonica and a poster of Mariah Carey.
Few classics (Ms. Jackson for example) and a nice closer elevated this album for sure. Buuut as a whole? Not that amazing.
I am mostly disgusted, I got used to it later but towards the end I just wanted to kill myself hearing this so damn.
Some of the most fun punkrock I've ever heard.
Go drive through mountains and listen to this. Nice time.
RUN, JAMES DOAKES, RUN!
Come on, how could anyone not love this?
I really respect some of the more experimental parts.
Well, I didn't know the girl from Glass Onion made music.
The Beatles but... I don't even know. Cool album.
First two Sabbath albums are pretty much perfection. On the self-titled here, you can hear the blues, the rock, and even a little bit of progressive rock. All of the musicians involved were musical geniuses. The atmosphere in this album is like no other, and I don't think anyone else could capture it this well. I don't go back often to this album, but I genuinly love it. Especially the opening track. Rest in peace, Ozzy.
Pet Shop Boys is one of my beloved childhood bands. Instant 5 star for me.
I would like to spend just a little more time writing this review, than I spent on others. Why? Well, it's probably my favorite album of alltime. At least one of few ones. This album is pure perfection. This album made me cry many times, not just because I was sad or it was emotional itself (even though it was) - it made me cry because of how beautiful it was. It gave me chills like no other album managed to. I really love The Dark Side Of The Moon, even if it's a popular opinion. This album deserves all the fame and love it gets, absolutely. From the first seconds and minutes the atmosphere is just immaculate. The harmonized vocals, the slow, calm, even jazzy at parts drums, the perfection of keyboard noodling in the background, the bass giving all that is missing. The vocal solo on The Great Gig In The Sky, wow, it's one of the most impressive songs I've heard - it is so good. Not only the vocal solo is this great, the calm but tense instrumental packed with all instruments giving a lot from themselves while still existing as a wall of sound, sort of a background, giving the unique sound for that time, that would evolve and get popularized in the future. Time features one of the best guitar solos ever written, the drum intro on toms is so fun to listen to and then the drop to full drums and keyboards, and all other elements of the song - oh man, it feels so great. Money features one of the most catchy riffs ever, with the use of money-related sounds in the background of course. It showed the energetic and heavier side of the album, that gave something more to the whole picture. Us And Them ia gorgeous, even choir-like on chorus song, but then also comes my beloved, really underappreciated Any Colour You Like, which features some genius keyboard playing, just wow. This song made me cry, oh it did even without any lyrics. Its sheer beauty is outstanding. The 2-song closer is also just perfect. It's unbeatable. Many times I thought to myself - "this album could be the last thing I could hear in my life and then die and I would be happy". And you know what? I still think that.
Some funni lyrics
I like this man's music more and more. Great basslines. And after reconsidering and knowing Elvis Costello's music even more, I really love this man's art.
Dave Grohl why is there Star Wars knock off blaster on the cover? (I didnt know what to say about the album)
Very fun.
Unfortunetaly, I didn't like it as much as I hoped I'd do. I guess I don't have to love everything.
This really was as good as they say. It might need more relistens though.
Yes, Jesse, I remember.
Bro really did a 12 minute outro consisting of looped 10 seconds for said 12 minutes and him thanking and giving shoutouts to people involved in the album, inspirations, TV stations, radio stations, other bands and artists and rappers, family, friends, even some clubs etc. etc. Well, quite an interesting experience, I wouldn't exepct that. These thank yous were longer than in any book I've ever read and I've read not a small amount of books. Besides that, I enjoyed this album, maybe not 100% of it, but more than less. I am not sure if it's because I've been getting better hip-hop albums recently (including this one), or is it because I built up a tolerance of hip-hop over time - listening to many of them from this list. And please, change the album cover, it's horrendous.
The Beatles if they were... wait, they are The Beatles, nevermind.
Just go listen to reharmonized jazz fusion cover of "Hello" by Adam Neely. It's really great, while this album is a waste of time.
I kinda wanted to give it a 4 because the opener is a classic but to be honest, I didn't love the rest as much, sorry. Still a very nice album.
I have to admit it's quite ahead of its time. Great keyboards. I am feeling generous with my today's rating.
Not my favorite album by them. Not my favorite band, it's quite far from it. I was never a big fan of Metallica, but I can respect them enough to give this album a 5. But yeah, it is a really good album.
I am glad I could hear it on this lazy morning.
It made me want to sleep in the best way possible.
The best Radiohead album I've heard so far (better than Amnesiac and Hail To The Thief) but still it didn't feel as perfect as people say. Maybe it needs way more relistens. Anyway, great album.
Album full of amazing timeless classics, Life On Mars? for example. You could listen to this album many times in a row and it won't get boring. Just a brilliant record from start to finish.
So boring I decided to watch videos on YouTube of some dude cooking a Gordon Ramsay-inspired sandwich and a chicken biryani. I feel really bad listening to this thing, but I guess it's not that fully terrible.
"Who Killed Captain Alex?" of music.
Beautiful proto-prog.
I have no idea what to say right now but I highly recommend this album. Wait, I know what to say. Amazing bass, amazing feeling, just great vibes. Such great music.
I got that "what am I doing with my life" when I told my friend that I am listening to this. Anyway, good album.
Some of the most peaceful funky soul albums I've heard. He also should incorporate some goregrind and technical death metal elements into his music.
Instrumentally it's a strong 4 but I am not a biggest fan of her voice.
Yaarrghhh
So, OutKast, we meet again. Stankonia has been a great surprise when I heard it, it was quite enjoyable or at least not annoying, and of course it had some hits like Ms. Jackson. Now, Speakerboxxx/The Love Below started off worse but also surprised me with some great stuff. Sudden jazz tracks? That's very very nice. More sang parts, nice, nice. A lot of experimental feel in this monumental record. Even some The Mars Volta-esque passages conbined with said jazz tracks. Not all of these experiments were my thing, I'll be honest. Towards the end there was a track that sounded like a combination of Ryo Fukui style piano playing with breakcore beat, which was a very cool touch. And of course, the famous Hey ya!, which is a timeless classic. Overall, OutKast showed me again that they are probably my favorite hip hop artist ever. Why am I giving this album a 3 starts rating, then? (just like with Stankonia). Well, it's still a hip hop record and it's one of my least favorite genres, it has no emotional or sentimental value to me, I didn't grow up with hip hop culture, not at all. It's just not my thing, but this list helps me appreciate the genre more, that's for sure. Plus, this album is LOOOOOOOONG. 2 hours and 15 minutes. And don't get me wrong, I listen to music almost always so it's not bad for me - plus I am a prog lover so long songs and albums are casuality for me. But still, 2+ hour long OutKast record might feel like a chore sometimes.
You know why I am giving this album a 5 stars rating.
I am really glad I discovered Pulp.
Nicer than people say - but I won't be coming back to this record.
Well, Bob, that's an improvement from last album for sure.
I am a punkrocker, yes, I am.
Sudden n-word, the infamous goon squad, 2 little austrian painters. And of course random elephants on the cover. ABSOLUTE CINEMA
Jimi. You're not a real guitarist! Learning by ear from listening to the radio and records, for Christ's sake?! Not a music school?! What a joke! Other guitarists worked their asses off to be where they are, and you took shortcuts and you think you're suddenly their peer?! You do what they do because you're experimental, you can make people listen to your music?! Other musicians commited their lifes to this! You don't... slide into it like a cheap pair of slippers and then reap all the rewards... Sorry, I just watched season 1 of Better Call Saul and after hearing name Jimi all I could think of is Jimmy McGill. Incredibly good album by the way, 5 star rating for sure.
Well, 70s Indian movie soundtrack is... refreshing. I can't say I didn't enjoy it.
Bob, you smashed 2 albums together.
I kinda missed the popularity and love for Blondie. I knew Heart of Glass and One Way Or Another of course but I never got interested in her discography or any more music. It's a great album though.
Not bad, not bad, but nothing special. Track number 3 (I forgot the name) annoyed me.
MICHALE ZOMBIE
Another WONDERful album.
I have no words, sorry.
I honestly enjoyed many songs more than I'd expected, I actually liked an Adele album!
Very very nice album, I listened to it with my friend who is a huge Beck fan. I might make my rating higher when I relisten, but I am not sure yet. Great album.
Enjoyable punk with average 90s goregrind song lenghts. Good for sitting on a toilet for 15 minutes.
Jack White strikes again.
Okay, so, Pink Floyd! One of my favorite bands of alltime and Wish You Were Here - one of my favorite albums. What more can I say, this is an immediate 5 star for me. The atmosphere this album creates is so unique, ahead of its time. Pink Floyd were geniuses. Even now I have a Wish You Were Here poster next to me (as much as I know it's popular, it still feels personal to me). Incredible album, one of the greatest achievements in musical history.
The opener is a classic. The rest is really good.
Started of VERY well, but the further it went, the less interesting it got. Still, a nice album. But, at the end, few last songs made it better again. Kinda good way to put the songs in an album - good start, good end... ehh, let's forget the middle.
I don't even care it's a soundtrack, because it's one hell of a soundtrack. So good.
This is perfect.
WHY AM I GETTING SO MUCH SO GOOD ALBUMS WHAT IS HAPPENING
Man, that is GOOD. Why am I getting so many amazing albums recently? I feel like I am too generous.
Another excellent jazz album. Another 5 star rating. What the hell is going on???
One of the better albums I've heard here. Might become one of 5 star ratings but I am not sure anymore. It requires more relistens for sure.
I enjoyed it quite a bit. Some of the songs were really nice, I am glad I had an opportunity to emerge into the world of Meat Puppets, hence I shall give this album a positive thumbs up for an easy listen, short album. It was nothing very special though.
I already want to come back to this album. Very good drummer.
It was great, some very pleasant tracks - as a whole, a very nice album. But it was not as good as I expected and I think they went into quantity over quality territory with this one.
I am so glad I finally had a chance to listen to another 70s psychadelic rock artist, and even with latino and prog hints - so so so nice. Well, of course, it's not like I couldn't listen to Santana earlier - I knew quite well they existed and I was planning on listening to that monochromatic lion debut, but I never got around... And wow, Abraxas is so good. Peacefull, not intimidating, very easy listen - but not simple, braindead music. This is full of fineness. I already came back to this album more than once, and will be coming back.
GOD DAMN. That is absolutely not what I expected to hear from this album - or even on this list. This is a wild discovery. Such a good album I played it again the same day. The vocalist is full of energy and has quite a good range but the instrumental part makes it so good. Groovy alt metal riffs and sick basslines are all over this album. A little bit of Deftones feel here and there. That is a band I will be getting into very soon. I'd really recommend anyone to check out this album.
Very interesting side of 70's prog which I really love. I need to get more into this Robert Wyatt rabbit hole for sure. Very unique album.
Short review I guess. It's a strong 3.
Quite nice, the instrumental was great, not a huge fan of the vocals. Solid live record.
I enjoyed it, I would be lying if I said I didn't - but this album feels... Pointless. There is no payoff, the whole thing feels like 60 minutes of - a pleasant, causeyes, it was pleasant - interlude. Plus the fact that 100% of the sounds I heard were just samples, apparently around 900. God damn, that's a lotta work, that's for sure. But that's probably what made this album feel so pointless. It sounds nice, it feels nice, but it's empty inside. Towards the end I got more interested in when it will end rather than what other samples will be creatively used in this record. It's an interesting concept, I got invested in it, but I won't be coming back to it. Quite an experience, but I think it'll stay a once-in-a-lifetime experience. At least for now.
I was expecting something like Fela Kuti's live albums - but it was different. And better. I was not sure how I feel about Tim's vocals at first, but they grew on me. Greetings from L.A. offers a big range of variety in music, while still feeling like a singular artistic statement.
This was certainly way better than her newest album, I was surprised by some parts because they were really great... BUT, I am sorry, I wanted to give it a 4 but I'll stick with 3 star rating, at least for now. As a whole it wasn't that interesting and the previous Fiona Apple album I've heard unfortunetaly still left me quite a negative taste in my mouth that Tidal was not able to fully wash out, which makes my opinion on this record kindaaa blinded and maybe even stupid but hey, 3/5 is still "hey, I enjoyed it"!
Kinda less interesting than the last Bob Marley album I've heard, but I give it a 3 cause it was enjoyable and it had No Woman No Cry.
Accurate name. What is 1001 albums about🥀💔
This is a tough one, because it's not an accessible thing - very much not. Thank you.
I don't care what anybody says, Moby Dick is the best track from this album.
This record sounds like a clear combination of musical perfection and miserable sound. So, on average, it gives us...
I mean, hey, it was pretty much perfect for what I needed that day. Quick and short.
I've been waiting for this album. I can finally give it a 5 star rating it deserves. I love Zappa, and this is one of his finest.
