Very cool band. I feel New York... is overrated, but Someone Great and the opener are highlights for me.

A very chill bossa nova album

Needs a relisten. Opens very strong, but a lot of ambient frippertronic tracks to the end that need time to digest.

The hits (Drive My Car, Norwegian Wood, In My Life) are hits. Rest is too early beatles for me.

Some highlights, but not my thing overall. Kept thinking about the Donald Glover bit about older rap being "I went to the hat store/ and I bought a hat!"

There's a weirdness to this album. Jimmy is the highlight besides the huge hit Paper Planes. And the one song where she recites the lyrics to Where is my Mind.

Time of the Season is one of the best songs of the 60s. Rest of the album is super catchy too.

A very CSN sounding album from Yes. I want to be too cool for them but alas I am not.

Starts to drag on after a while, but wow one of the strongest albums of that era.

Musically, perfect. Lyrically it struggles more than it should. Dear God is a very weak track, even as an atheist. However, 1000 Umbrellas, Earn Enough for Us, are some of their best work.

An ambitious record all these years later

I miss maps but this is a solid record in its own right.

Some instrumentation choices were... interesting, so not as refined as his later work. But his songs still cut.

Underrated album of theirs.

A product of its time? Yes. Some ill-advised vocal affects and inflections? Yes. Does this album absolutely rule? Hell yes.

Wanted to deduct a point for the track "Sheer Heart Attack" actually appearing on News of the World, but I couldn't.

Eels are great. E hadn't yet evolved into the lyricist he would become on the next album, Electro-Shock Blues (Instant 5), but the sound was present.

Fun Rockabilly punk

Went on a huge PJ Harvey kick at the start of this year. Best artist I discovered this year.

Pretentious as hell but I cried all the same.

This album is not on most streaming services, but H2Ogate blues is a masterpiece that makes the search worth it.

I love the grunge era but never listened to this band before now. Groovy and emotionally raw to the point of being a little uncomfortable. Will listen again and again.

I lived in San Diego for a spell and loved the local music scene. Every bar had a poster for these guys. The love is well deserved.

Smooth operator is an all time classic, and the rest of the album surprisingly holds up as well. Pleasantly surprised.

Sort of like Duran Duran, but unyieldingly cheery. It was fine for a while but got grating.

Was curious about this band when I heard it was where Richard Barbieri from Porcupine Tree started from. This and Tin Drum are genius records. It's like discovering smart art pop all over again.

Beautiful, majestic, scary.

It's called Traffic because every song is a jam. Just super tight playing and writing.

Arrangement wise, probably her weakest album, but still a masterful songwriter and singer.

This is Slash's favorite Aerosmith album, and one of his favorite albums of all time. That makes it the best Aerosmith album by default.

Some great covers on here, but a lot of it falls flat

A collection of covers, but willie's fragile voice makes them his own, and Booker T's minimalist arrangements keep it grounded without sounding corny. A timeless album.

Beginning of the quash of Kim Deal's contributions, but still a solid album

So Imagine is a perfect song. Jealous Guy is a perfect song. Was expecting to say the rest was rubbish but that was not the case.

Time heals most wounds. After a break from constant exposure to the singles, it's a solid album with great bass parts. Crawl and Notion were underrated. Minus a star for 17 and for a weak conclusion.

I like New Order in general, but this album combines my favorite and least favorites parts of 80s music in a way that invokes a purely neutral reaction in me. A true pH 7.

Art. Jig of Life and Waking the Witch were standouts in addition to the lead track.
