Amazing album, love Yellow and Sparks!

Was okay. Some good basslines but dragged on a bit after track 5 or 6

Starts weak but ends strong. Hadn't heard of this guy before but reading up on him he is super influential and you can hear it in this album!

An album of stuff that's a little bit better than the Beatles' worst stuff. Would recommend if you like early rocknroll or dowop music but other than that, give it a miss

Surprisingly pleasant

Considering how shit these guys were live when I saw them supporting The Darkness, this album actually isn't that bad

Massively influential and, Hey You, Comfortably Numb and Another Brick in the Wall pt1,2 and 3 are all incredible songs. But the album is really pretentious sounding to me other than that, no matter how many Floyd albums there are on this list, I just can't get into them!

Reading other reviews of this album, I was dreading it. But there are far more offensive albums on this list. It really does make you think; maybe 1001 albums is too many? This is background music, and not entirely pleasant music at that, but I have had some humdingers on this list and I managed to make it through this in one sitting so it can't have been too bad. Probably a 2.5/5, rounding to a 3 because I feel sorry for the stats on this album.

It's so funny to me that this was considered hardcore punk at the time, but is really melodic to today's ear. This is a good listen, I'd recommend.

I had a lot of fun with this one, got into it more as it went on. Definitely an album that will get a second and third listen

Whoever compiled this list loves Neil Young. I didn't mind this album though, Heart of Gold and Old Man are classics

A very solid album, and even more so with this being their first. But you can't go anywhere without hearing one of these on the radio, so it was quite tiresome. Should probably be a 5, but Sweet Child annoys the hell out of me

Another review describes this as "The Eagles of Grunge" and I can't disagree. I enjoyed the album but it's not groundbreaking or genre-defining. Solid 3.5-4/5

I like some of his earlier stuff on this list much more than this one

It's like listening to a really good support act at a gig. You will smile and nod politely, but probably won't listen to them again

My triumphant return to this list and I get this mediocre album! It's fine, but there are 100 other 60s rock bands that have the same sound as this band. Whoever made this list loves 60s psychedelia

Very interesting but not for me

Probably one of the easiest 5*s I can give. My first time listening to this album wall to wall, and it is one of my favourite listening experiences so far. Funny lyrics, brilliant riffs, songs just long enough for the repititions to not get annoying. The legacy this album has left behind.... All reasons to give it a 5

Thoroughly enjoyed this, but can appreciate why others would hate it. This had some of the funkiest bass lines of any jazz I've listened to!

First Dolly album I have listened to and loved it. Great poetic lyrics and musicality!

I liked this but don't think I would listen to it again. Sort of thing that plays on Planet Rock at 11pm

She's got a really nice voice and some nice musicality, will listen again

Once you get through the utter tripe that is the first track, I actually enjoyed this random mix of exprimental samples and awful string layering I have heard much worse on this list, but this is by no means a 4 or 5* album

Enjoyed this a lot, his lyrics are so dense and I like his writing style. The harmonica did get a little annoying listening back to back, but the songs are all great individually. Masters of War, and Don't Think Twice It's Alright were my favourites

Enjoyed this a lot, some fun tunes, oozing with sex. Genuinely think Purple Rain is one of the best songs of all time, and I'm not even sure if that's a controversial statement

Quintessentially prog

Quite enjoyed this and recognised a few of the tracks, probably won't listen again but wasn't bad by any means
