I consider the title track the birth of Weather Report. Love hearing Wayne Shorter and Joe Zawinul play in space with no chart restrictions. Miles was ahead of the times.

Wow… moving and emotional. This is a Miles Davis record in name only. Looking at the personnel on this record is like a who's-who of some of the best Jazz musicians around. Wayne Shorter – tenor saxophone John McLaughlin – electric guitar Chick Corea – electric piano Herbie Hancock – electric piano Joe Zawinul – electric piano, organ Dave Holland – double bass Tony Williams – drums I get the critiques of Miles' avant-garde and fusion styles, but this album is just beautiful music. 5/5.

Really unlike anything else you'll ever hear, just amazing

The first song feels pretty energetic and enthralling. The second track starts and ends with more serene, peaceful sections, while the middle portion feels a lot more like the first song. Overall, the album was very entertaining, and is the first real jazz album I've listened to.

The drummer riding the hihat must have been tired after Shh/Peaceful. Proto ambient fusion suitable for moments of contemplation. When it comes to two trackers by Miles I prefer a Tribute to Jack Johnson, but you can’t really rate an album like this.

Waking up to go to work with this album was lovely

Easygoing and experimental are not a well combined duo. But for me this album was just that. It wasn't an explosion of sound. It was a well built boat on a quick flowing river.

Great album for cooking with wine, adulting, entertaining with adults.

Shhh/peaceful is a chill and good track. Not a huge fan of the change ups from the 2nd track. Brother said “no smooth jazz in the house” when I was listening while getting ready. 🤣

Took me a couple of listens but I think I might be beginning to enjoy this. I think.

Miles Davis' first venture into rock/fusion. I haven't listened to this album in years. I love the crystal sounds of the guitar, keys and ride cymbal create together. Sounds Like: Miles extends the concept of vamp on a few chords to the next level from what he started on Kind of Blue and adds very subdued rock flavors Standout sections: "Shh/Peaceful": the beginning until Miles plays takes me to another plane, the defiance of holding b2 over the bass and how the other musicians participate "In A Silent Way": the tutti jam during solos hits hard

15th July 2022 Listened in the morning while getting the house ready for Jen’s parents to come and stay. Ate in Friday, went to nailsworth Saturday with everyone and woolpack Sunday. I appreciated this more as it went on, but again not my bag. Don’t get experimental jazz, maybe I need to open my mind a bit more.

The older I get, the more love I have for this album. It seems to be of a place and no place simultaneously. Fully leaving post-bop behind but not yet caught up in the funky, mythical and mystical chaos of Bitches Brew, In a Silent Way seems like a transitional effort. But it isn't, it's it's own thing; it's own special oasis. To me, this is the perfect Miles Davis album. Just short of forty minutes, two tracks that just whisks you into its orbit and a bonafide classic album cover on top of it. A relentless, endless cool that still radiates to this day. Yet another defining touchstone and turning point in the jazz genre, of course one of many and not the last.

Very glad I got this. Really need to familiarise myself with jazz more and this was the next album on my list. Shh/Peaceful is a track with real purpose and groove that builds and holds the listeners attention even over its runtime. What I find very clever is how minimal each instrument is but they are all played with a lot of purpose and they work really well together. No one instrument is ever played in a way that crowds out the others or played in a strained way which gives the track a really relaxed feel. The drumming is a real highlight for me. In a silent way is another very chilled track which once again utilises simplicity and repetition to give the song purpose and momentum. It builds to these grand moments where all of the instruments come together over a catchy keboard section. Davis builds the tenion excellently with the trumpet between these moments which are used sparingly to keep to listener wanting more. I also like the way the track begins with this quiet section and then returns to it at the end. It gives the feeling that this buzz of the main part of the track comes and goes but the listener is left with the peace of their own mind. That said I'm not as in love with the beginning/end section as the rest of the song as it is verging on aimlessness but I think it serves enough of a purpose that I'll forgive it. I'm really not a jazz person but this gripped me in a way I've never had in the genre before so much so I had go listen to it again straight away. A perfect album for a lazy morning or a quiet evening, it has a real aura of tranquility and mindfulness. Every note seems intentional and in harmony with eachother and I can see the real development into Jazz fusion with the rest of the band being just as crucial as Davis himself. Will definitely be coming back to this and seeing how it grows on me. 4.5

I can separate the art from the artist enough to call Miles what he was- the GOAT. This is just one of many excellent works he conceived. A

Miles Davis created so many of the all-time greatest jazz records and had so many different approaches. In a Silent Way is another one of those, standing alongside Birth of the Cool, Kind of Blue, Bitches Brew, and the underrated Dark Magus as masterpieces.

Ten minutes in and I'm still waiting for the start of, oh, I don't know....a SONG? This is full on wankery-style jazz and more power to you if you're into that but I'm personally not the sort of guy to dip my head in a paint mixer and say that I'm looking at art.

Ohhh hell yeah.. The band he assembled for this album is unreal, Mclauglin, Shorter, Corea, Hancock, Zawinul... Given the talent in the room it's amazing how space is left for each other and how they weave in and out. I love it.

Such a great record. I can see how it may have been different and new and perhaps controversial at the time. To me, though, it’s just an enjoyable jazz record I could put on while reading a book, having dinner, turning up loud and really listening to.

This was a huge shift for Miles. While I'm not crazy about where it ended up, I can appreciate this as the transition. McLaughlin and Zawinul are fantastic on it.

Put it on while working and was just something that zipped by...may have to revisit this one...but for now a 3.5.

Eh it's a jazz album but with some electronic jazz. Thankfully it was not that long of an album.

It's hard to say a lot about something that's perfect. It just sits there and overwhelms you with its quality and you can't help but be in awe. Miles Davis is one of those genius creators who's made multiple perfect pieces, this being just one of them. Loved every second of this album.

It was a lovely coincidence that I started my Miles Davis journey with Kind of Blue not two weeks ago, and then got to experience this great and controversial transition to electricity that happened a decade after that album. I was a bit nervous that I wouldn't like it. I keep waiting for that jazz album that I'll hate, but this wasn't it. I love the funkiness added with the electric pianos and guitar. I really thought it was a proper fusion, giving it an unmistakable contemporary (to 1969) sound. I did prefer Side A to Side B, which I found a little draggy, but I certainly did enjoy the whole thing.

The whole fusion jazz style can be a bit challenging for me, especially on the first listen of a track. I found the two tracks on the album quite palatable from the get-go though. I can totally see me putting this one on again in the future and getting to know it even better.

Beautiful and mesmerizing. Each time it ended, I just wanted it to start over again. That happened four times.

This is my second Miles Davis album and I really enjoyed it. Been listening to it off and on all day and it is really wonderful. Turns out a little jazz is a great addition to my life!

I really, really dislike jazz fusion. As with Bitches Brew, this album is listenable purely because of Davis' playing. Other than that, I'll continue to run screaming from any album that contains the words "John McLaughlin" and "Chick Corea"!

And there was me thinking that Coltrane album was wild for only having 4 tracks on it. I like the very soundscape-y feel this has, especially track 2. Sometimes dreamy, often slightly mysterious, but never threatening. Pixar-esque.

One of the albums that changed music. Miles' incorporation of electric guitar and electric piano into his band essentially creates fusion and does the previously unthinkable. I personally believe that the influence of Betty Mawbry on Miles at this point is massive. She introduces him to rock musicians, changes his wardrobe and expands his thinking about what music can be. Surprisingly, Miles first foray into fusion is meditative and exploratory. The loud funky explosions of Bitches Brew and On The Corner are yet to come, but this first album changes everything. Teo Macero's editing is (as with those later albums) pretty astonishing in itself.

Very cruisy very smooth very relaxing. If you're rating is based on the number of tracks you like then this is a fiver but for me it's how much I want to listen to it again or if I want to explore it further. As much as I liked this it's not being added to a playlist.

Not a fan of Jazz, but this was a lot less offensive than I expected it to be. Wikipedia says it is a fusion record that ticked off some Jazz aficionados - good to hear. Certainly not a go to record, but better than the one or two stars I anticipated prior to listening. 2.5 and rounding up!

I like this. I saw it flash up and thought 'Oh.....Jazz'.....but it's soothing and really positive imo. I'm not knowledgeable about Jazz but I think what they are trying here was really brave and paved the way for a lot more to come. Reading Wiki it was the first Fusion album with elements of electronic, rock without the jazz swing and I think it really works. Put this on and chill........

Standard Miles here I think a good album with just 2 extended tracks meandering around their improvisations. Good Jazz but not sure I would have it in my top 1001! I suppose it is about time context but not one of my favourites on the list

Best Song: Shhh. These rules make less sense for an album like this, but the early portion of the album sounds almost alien and ethereal in its use of these technical blips and bloops. Worst Song: None. Overall: Definitely different from the Miles Davis I've listened to previously. The electric elements and rock fusion style definitely make it more easily listenable, but it also doesn't feel like it hits the same heights as Kind of Blue.

Great background music to drink a scotch to on a lazy Sunday afternoon. But, I"m not gonna play this on my way to work.

I flow three ways on Sunday and when the sun is shining I can't seem to find the phone or dial the right number. Then things shift and they continue moving in that direction, buzzing and clacking and who knows what else. For the twelfth time the underside is revealed and special things fall out. Better that way than if you payed attention. But for some, this is the way of the world. Improvisation! Play without thinking. Write without thinking. Live without thinking! But I have no artistic talent, so writing or playing without thinking just results in mush. Not so with Miles.

I just can’t do this. Improvisational jazz is the oil to my water. The first couple minutes of In A Silent Way is my favorite part of the album.

Nope. While I guess I can appreciate the technical ability on display here, it's not, on any level, an enjoyable listening experience. Both tracks (because there are only two) are repetitive, atonal, empty of melody, and utterly lacking in structure. Saved from a one-star review because the musicianship is good. Too bad they didn't put those skills to better use.

My copy is a bit worn out, isn't it? I might prefer On A Corner, but this is still ace. Nothing I could say about it that hasn't been said before.

I absolutely looooove this. I can't believe it's only two tracks. And they're both 40 mins or so and it flew by and felt like 2 mins to me listening. I never listened to Miles Davis with purpose before and I do find some of the other tracks more stressful but this album is just beautiful to me.

Wow I actually really enjoyed this and may have redeemed my Miles Davis faux pas of just not liking it.. I was pretty pissed listening to this on the way home from Will's birthday but it made an impact.

Great jazz fusion album. The album has only two songs (both with 19min). I loved the first one, but it took me a couple of listens to digest and enjoy the second one. Will definitely listen more of Miles Davis.

Oops.. couldn't get through it.

8/10, Davis definitely perfected jazz fusion with later releases. Yet as a first foray however, this shows a precocious level of competence and confidence of vision. Electrical striations dance around Miles while he's breaking in feverish licks on Shhh/Peaceful. In a Silent Way broaches mournful melodies before descending into a whirlpool of strumming, electric tensions before an all time great rhythmic break at the 13 minute mark. We then return to the contemplative afterwards, calmly bidding adieu with a coda and final moments of quietude. An album worth popping in on a productive Sunday afternoon

Reckon this would have gone down a treat in the background when I was at uni getting stoned. Still pleasant, though the high hat 16s are irritating after a while. Miles' tone is always lovely.

I never feel up to the task writing down my thoughts about giant albums like this. What can I say that’s not already been said? In cases like this, I just stay away from all reviews and scribble down my disjointed thoughts as I listen. This album is a music painting. I can hear the colors. The sounds are stroke patterns and wet paint, layer by layer, from the undefined center to the consummate edges.

There are better Mile Davis albums

Miles Davis, a name associated with jazz greatness even via hearsay puts all rumors to rest here. Truth be told, this is more than jazz. Sure, the elements of jazz are here but this is somehow more. Jazz is highly specific in the type of fan it garners, but "In A Silent Way" seems to reach beyond that. Jazz tends to get lost on most people, this reviewer included, but where this album shines is that there is a constant guide through both tracks that helps maintain bearings. While not the repetitive grandeur of Ravel's "Bolero", "In A Silent Way" keeps to a formula and builds on it layer after layer after layer giving this album a newness at each depth worth exploring over and over.

Soothing songs

Great album!

Van has never referenced Miles Davies as an influence (they were more contemporaries anyway) but the similarities between the opening of 'in a silent way' and Van's 'haunts of ancient peace' are marked. I'm not accusing Van of plagiarism by any means as Van was able to build upon this beautiful ambient sound and craft one of his greatest recordings whereas Miles' jazzy leanings in the middle of his song are less interesting to me.

This is probably one of the most ignorant things I could ever say but I genuinely reckon that if I knew how to technically play a trumpet then I could do what Miles does here. Inane.

Oh, this is lush! I could listen to this looped all day. Love those repetitive bass lines that come in and just get everything grooving. Reminds me of afrobeat, a little. Fave track - The "It's About That Time" section of track 2 SLAPS.

Jazz isn't my thing, but I do love the sound Miles got from his horn. Side one belongs to that omnipresent fizzing from the hi-hat and some of the coolest bass I've ever heard. I heard someone use the word "ambient" to describe the album. It is something you'd put on late at night while peacefully discussing with a couple of friends.

Magnificent fusion jazz album. Very atmospheric, music speaks for itself, the reflective melancholic vibe comes through 100%. Miles Davis being genius as always.

Strokes of Jazz brilliance that could be either pleasing or excruciating to the ear depending on taste and mood. It reminds of scenes in smoky bars with intoxicated people appreciating the genius sounds.

Other half of the album is better. John Coltrane’s My Favorite Things started to play immediately after this album and after first few seconds it was clear that I would like the other album better. 2,5 stars.

Big Miles Davis fan. I don't listen to him as much as I should. It's funny how in jazz an album with just two tracks is regarded highly whereas in rock it's regarded as pretentious. Anyway, "In A Silent Way" is always a good one. I like how each piece gets their chance to shine. It's nice to hear the guitar in there along with sax and trumpet. A classic for me.

I admit this is the first time I ever listened to Miles Davis. I learned two things. One, he is damn good. Two, I still don't know jazz. It's like giving me a sample of wine and asking me to swirl and smell and judge. I don't really know. I knows what I like and I likes this. But it's hard for me to judge on a scale. I did particularly enjoy the different segments in In a Silent Way (segments a bit too subtle for me in Shhh/Peaceful). It's also pretty cool how much a trumpet can stand out, especially contrasted against a low pulsing backdrop.

This is not only one of my favorite Jazz albums but is up there as one of my favorite albums of all time. The mood that is created from the opening organ to the final notes on side two takes me somewhere that I cannot put into words. I say Jazz album because that's how it is categorized (or as fusion) but it's a different entity altogether. I find it unfortunate that this album is usually shadowed by Bitches Brew which follows mainly because it's more experimental and is generally regarded as a landmark in fusion but this album seems to have come from another world or another time. You don't know if it's the future or the distant past because at the same time it sounds timeless. I think 10, 100, 500 years this album continue to amaze people with it's beauty, subtly, and gentleness.

Man, this 1001 albums thing is getting me to reconsider jazz. Maybe my mood was right today...on another day I might have complained that essentially they're noodling around a couple of themes for 20 minutes, but the word that kept coming to my mind was CAPTIVATING. Both pieces just evoked certain moods and I found myself transfixed throughout my first listen. Time went by faster than I expected - I was actually surprised each piece was over, even though both clock in at almost 20 minutes (can't believe they recorded this thing in a day). Again, maybe I just caught it on exactly the right day at exactly the right time, but it connected with me. Second listen (a little more background this time - I had work to do!) was just as enjoyable and I was again surprised when it was over. Gotta give it a 5 for that captivating feeling. Wow.

I love the first song

Bitches Brew gets a lot of acclaim, but this transition album sees the advent of fusion. Here we can see the development from modal jazz forms to include more blues, funk, and even some rock elements. This album is also more accessible.

It was solid but my jazz exposure is lite and therefore I’m not able to compare it well. I thought at the best it was very nostalgic feeling.

Can’t go wrong with any of this. Driving, chilling, working, eating, partying, unwinding. It’s always a good time to put on Miles.

When it locks into a groove, this is fine stuff. But there's too much mumbling around for this to be a fun listen. I always thought Miles was overrated and this does nothing to change my mind.

2 numbers, each entrancing! Really like "In a silent way" -- it's the peaceful one to me, while "Shh / Peaceful" has that push 1/16th note rhythm going hard the whole time, which makes the title ironic, but the trumpet does bring a peaceful layer over it.

I'm a novice for jazz, but this one is a no-brainer as far as classic jazz records. Haven't listened to a lot of Miles, but with the help of music streaming services, this will change. A nice way to spend an hour in the afternoon!

Hard work

Only two tracks so it's hard to give this a fair ranking. I liked the second one better, but both are really good. Nice and relaxing, but interesting at the same time. 1st song is a 4 and 2nd song is a 5. That's easy math: 4.5 stars.

Two tracks totalling 38 minutes or so. Both beautiful, varied, lush and full of energy. Never heard these pieces before, and loved listening to them. Highly recommended

I don´t like jazz

nice.... this is so easy to listen to, makes me understand Miles Davis as a thing, so many of his "top hits" are pretty esoteric to come into cold not having heard his foundational stuff. Really happy to be made aware of this one!!!

Jazz album with two long jams that are broken up into a few parts on each album side. Miles Davis is great, not big on jazz personally but it is an excellent piece of music.

I had to take some time with this one. Yes, I'm inviting that dread phrase "rewards repeated listenings." But this is not an album that generates an adrenalin rush. It is an album that requires a more patient approach. The warmth of the album took me two playthrough to get. But when it did, it hit me like a heatwave. Likewise, the playfulness and the intricacy. I shall hold off on giving it the full five stars, but it's definitely at least a high 4, and I reserve the right to amend that in the future. Speaking of which, as I have now rated 50 albums, I'll do a bit of a tidy-up and give revised opinions on certain albums. Ella Fitzgerald - The Gershwin Songbook: raised from 3 stars to 4 (the very first album I received, and a terrible choice for a first album, being three hours and such. I can accept I was unfair due to algorithmic misfortune.) Led Zeppelin - Led Zeppelin III: dropped from 4 stars to 3 (the second half really doesn't work, though the first half rocks like a bastard.) Cee Lo Green - Cee Lo Green... Is The Soul Machine: dropped from 4 stars to 3 (To Pimp a Butterfly is a better, more interesting album, and that merits a three. Also, I'm so tired of the gangster posturing. You're meant to be a soul singer, not a drug mule or whatnot.) Dire Straits - Dire Straits: raised from 1 star to 2 (I wanted to give it a kicking, and I still do, but it can't be compared to something genuinely abysmal like Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness.) Elton John - Madman Across The Water: raised from 2 stars to 3 (I admit Elton John isn't my bag, but I can appreciate why some people go for it. Also, the album has the same faults as Led Zep III, and I gave that three stars).

Plays constantly in my mind like a cocaine fuelled orgy with my parents and their good friends Jeff and Margaret. They sometimes dress up as farm yard animals. Jeff has enormous testicle. Margaret has a bucket cunt. It all makes for a rather good time.

Miles like jazz.

Jazz critics, especially ones who didn't listen to much rock, thought it sounded like rock too, and they reacted less favorably"

Miles is probably my least favorite of the iconic jazz giants, but this is him at his best.

Enjoyable to a point, but the majority album made me feel very stressed, as though I was on the verge of a panic attack and that feeling felt like an eternity before letting up in the last few minutes. It evoked a journey in my mind but not one I'm interested in revisiting.

It all sounds very similar. It was very easy listening while eating dinner and would make a nice environment if people were over. Wish I could give it a 3.5/5

After listening to four of his albums, I think I've learned that Miles Davis is the king of cracking a note and then cracking it again when the phrase is repeated so it sounds like the first one was on purpose. If my songs were 20 minutes long, I wouldn't want to do extra takes, either. Best track: Shhh / Peaceful

Oké album, maar niet speciaal

Nice jazz

You're led to believe that Miles Davis is a genius, the primal exponent of a musical form and the template for a generation of artists to follow. But I must be missing something, as this felt like the B-side of the soundtrack to a forgettable Steve McQueen film. 38 minutes felt like much longer, and not in a good way.

Too dumb for fusion Jazz. I didn’t dislike listening to this but as usual I don’t feel like I really know what is going on and a lot of it feels like just meandering improvisation. Presumably as brilliant as the jazz heads say.

5.0 - If “In A Silent Way" sounds like the onset of sweet slumber, "Bitches' Brew" is your feverish nightmare. I hear many similarities between the two records - the echoey trumpet, the interplay between electric organ and guitar, the approach to composition involving the stitching together of recordings from different sessions. Whereas BB rejoices in chaotic explosions and jagged textures, "In A Silent Way" floats in a gentle and hushed dreamscape.

29. In a Silent Way - Miles Davis 2 tracks, (but 18 & 19 mins each). This is exactly why I'm doing @1001_albums_gen . Just Miles, his trumpet & some backing snare drum & keyboard. Really unusual/interesting & not something I would normally listen to at all. The use of the snare drum is brilliant and forms the basis for everything else to come and go as it pleases. It has a sort of hypnotic quality. 3/5

There's never been a musician quite like Miles. This is a showcase of just that: It's clearly a transitional piece but is no less canonical for it. I'm partial to music which turns harder one way or the other, and the first side of this record stays on one harmonic plane but also doesn't attempt a studio skronk-out. That makes it less than perfectly dynamic as a recording, but all the electric touchstones are there. Shhh fades out and the title track, another great piece of music, emerges. The players emphasize their chops most during the middle section of that second track, but always keep things restrained. And thus they get to something unexpected: a combination of jazz and rock that becomes something "classical".

First time hearing this. Insanely impressive. Recorded in one session according to Wikipedia, unreal. Was somewhat surprised to hear electric guitar, but this is a bit of a rock crossover album it seems. Miles’ work on the trumpet steals the show, it’s like listening to how a hug feels. and whoever is on sax is also incredible.

What more can you ask for

I generally am not a fan of jazz albums. I feel like I don't have the necessary expertise to fully enjoy them, and as a result, I don't like the music. However, this one is an exception. I enjoyed it as it was lively when it needed to be and soothing when it wanted to be. My only gripe is that each song is just a bit long. Favorite track: In a Silent Way

I am not well versed in music theory, or any of that kind of smart music. That being said, there are several jazz albums that I really like, and In A Silent Way is one of them. There's something so lively about the music and perfect about this album that fails to come through on a lot of other jazz "classics" in my opinion. While the mix isn't perfect, it makes the songs feel more lived in if that makes any sense at all. I want to liken it to a hole in the wall that you find walking downtown and enter the most beautiful jazz club with the best jazz you've ever heard. The gut reaction is to live in that moment and take it all in, but since its a live jazz improvisation, you want to get a recording of it, so you put your phone down on the table to maybe capture some of the magic of the moment. Words are difficult. I really enjoyed this jazz album, and I hope you do too. Highlights: 1, and 2.

Wow! This, I really like. Great ambient music. Played this constantly all day, and despite the repetitive riffs, it never bores - always something new going on behind it. My only disappointment is not being able to make out John McLaughlin's guitar at all over the whole album. One of the greatest ever, and I can't hear him at all! Otherwise, flawless. Just wonderful.

Really nice and peaceful. I don't normally "get" classic jazz, but Miles Davis seems to be an exception.

Very expertly crafted, hypnotic, yet not too repetitive, excellent for setting a mood. The solos are sexy but not overly showy, and the texture is thick with cool.

Miles Davis' work is always intriguing to me, and I'm so glad I was introduced to this album. He was always evolving and experimenting, maintaining his artistry at each step. What a treasure.

3 stars for the massive influence, but definitely not the enjoyment factor

I find it difficult to write about jazz because the whole world of it seems so untouchable, so magnificent that mere words cannot describe the blood, sweat, and tears put into the records around this time. Miles Davis is, of course, a household name in this regard. His work can be appreciated around the world, and this is an album for the books. It's so simple, yet so much is happening underneath the surface, it's surreal. I can't not call it perfection. Miles Davis is a master of sound. What more can I say?

Not my favorite Miles Davis album

Excellent album. Excellent moods. Seamless movement from expression to expression and every instrument contributing in a way that makes them each stand out on their own and yet somehow simultaneously get lost in a blend that is something infinitely more than the sum of those parts. Something approximating the music a rat might hear when they trying cheese and grapes together.

This was a really interesting listen. I wasn't sure what to expect, and it's probably good I didn't have solid expectations because this album is all over the place. I liked it. I’m giving it 3 stars instead of 4 because I didn’t love all of it but I’d definitely listen to more Miles Davis in the future.

It's Miles freaking Davis. It's great. He's truly one of the most purely talented and emotive musicians ever and this pair of long form tracks highlights his ability to adapt to shifting times (first track dabbles in jazz fused with the "space music" that was being explored by composers and some early ambient/electronic pioneers at the time and a second, more traditionally blended jazz-rock track). It's not his best work sure, but it's still beautifully composed, expertly played jazz. The man can't disappoint.

Maybe it's because I listened to it while studying and I've been listening to a lot of instrumentals, but it didn't really click for me
