Taylor Swift is the music industry
finally music for gay people
This did not age well.... Eminem is clearly talented, but consistent misogyny, violence against women, fat shaming, and homophobia throughout was disgusting. Obviously his intent is to offend people, but this just feels like it's trying to be edgy for the sake of shock value.
Rating a little higher than it deserves because the first three tracks are so iconic. The rest.... is fine. I was surprised by how strong her vocals are on this compared to her later work.

Thanks I hate it
I didn't mind this album at first...if it had been 10 songs I may have rated it higher. There was no need for 69 of these songs. Most of them feature off key vocals and instrumentation that made me feel like I was in a haunted Fun House. The longer it went on the more I grew to despise this album.

I tried this album out back in the day and wasn't a huge fan (other than the instant classic "Chicago"). I've grown to really love his more recent music since then and was excited to revisit this. Sadly, it still didn't quite do it for me.
If I've learned anything from participating in this it's that I fucking hate Tom Waits
Some of it was cool but a lot of it was grocery store music
I wish I liked jazz but I just don't.
Not the worst thing in the world, but his voice has always been like nails on a chalk board for me...I much prefer his wife's music.
what in the world
This album feels like getting a nice long hug from a good friend you haven't seen in a while. One of my favorites.
I've had to sit through several tragic high school productions of the stage musical inspired by this album. I'm not sure I'll ever really be able to appreciate it properly. I went into this with an open mind but it gave me unpleasant flashbacks.
I can't get past his vocals
All of the songs sounded exactly like Ace of Spades to me
I enjoy the instrumentation but I've never been a fan of Dylan's vocals.
Wow, I loved this. I only knew the title track. This album reminded me a lot of Lady GaGa and I'm here for it.
Now I know where the composers of the Stranger Things score got their inspiration.
I would classify this as "noise" more than actual music
This album made me feel like I was being stalked by some unseen horror through the decaying set of the 2001 film Moulin Rouge
I'm confused by the inclusion of film soundtracks on here... what is the criteria? Why are there no John Williams scores if soundtracks are fair game?
Taylor Swift is the music industry
I grew up listening to The Cure but this album isn't my cup of tea.
I like a lot of the songs on here individually. This Live album just didn't do it for me. Too meandering and too long.
I actually liked this one quite a bit... it just overstayed it's welcome by an hour lol
I am not and never will be the target audience for this kind of music. Not for me.

Disgusting lyrics and overall very unpleasant to listen to. I never thought I'd see Fred Durst's name anywhere near this list
I mean this in the nicest way possible- this screamed "open mic night at your local downtown coffee shop" to me
No
This kind of reminded me of Oasis? Am I crazy?
More experimental and not quite what I was expecting after listening to Hounds of Love... probably worth a deeper listen, but I wasn't in the mood for this today
435 albums into this and this is easily one of my least favorites so far.
why you screaming bro
All I'll say is I'm really glad I have a Beatles album on deck as a palate cleanser
sounds like something I would've put on in the background while I studied in college.
Why was the last track 15 minutes for no reason?
I honestly really enjoyed this but it by no means needed to be 2 hours.
You're telling me this guy was saying 'legalize it' in 1976 and it just happened within the last few years?
Ok, so I rolled my eyes when I saw her come up on this list again but I had a lot of fun with this one.
Apple Store music
This basically sounded like a very boring Tame Impala record
I agree with a lot of what he had to say.... depressingly topical considering this album is 30 years old. But musically it got old really quickly
The amount of 1 star reviews with ignorant as fuck comments this album got is appalling to me. People calling it 'Department Store' or 'Hair Salon' music.... are you for real? This was the first album where Beyonce stopped caring about number 1 hits and just did what she wanted to do creatively. She has continued this trend in her career ever since. Also folks saying other people do all the work and she just shows up to sing.... literally watch 5 minutes of any documentary about her and you will see she is one of the most hardworking women in the industry. She's a perfectionist. She has final say on everything and is an incredibly savvy businesswoman. This isn't even my favorite album of hers and it's fine if this isn't everyone's cup of tea....but to completely dismiss it as 'top 40 pop' is absolutely ridiculous. Drunk in Love and Partition are two of the most iconic songs of the last 2 years without a doubt. Where are all my girls and gays at ffs
A lot of this reminded me of Nadja and Laszlo's band in the What We Do in the Shadows series.
I like a lot of their more recent stuff, so I was excited for this.... sadly it just didn't do it for me.
I must be a dumb dumb because I simply do not vibe with jazz. I don't know why. It makes me physically uncomfortable. I respect it but it's just not for me.
Motorhead being on this list once is generous. Being featured twice? Especially for a lackluster live album that features some of the same songs we've already heard? All of their songs sound exactly like worse version of Ace of Spades. I don't get it. Clearly the author of the 1001 Albums book grew up in the 70s and early 80s and is blinded by nostalgia.
finally music for gay people
An All Timer. Play this at my funeral
Off-brand Oasis
Was kind of cool at first but the same instrumentation for an hour gets old fast.
"Mom, can we listen to Radiohead?" "No, honey. We have Radiohead at home."
Why are so many albums on this list OVER TWO HOURS long????
No. Life is too short to finish listening to this. I gave it a good 25 minutes of my time. That's plenty.
Nope. No way.
Christina's talent as a vocalist is undeniable. I love pop music. This is a fine album, I'm just surprised to see her with more than one entry on this list. Especially when other female pop artists like Lady Gaga and Rihanna are nowhere to be found? Beyoncé herself only has one album on the list....? These artists have been much more impactful in pop music than either of the albums Christina has on this list. You can definitely tell this list was curated by a straight man. Please get a gay consultant for the next version. Speaking of....next up is...*checks notes* Limp Bizkit....?????
This what the 856th album that I've had generated. Sometimes during this project, I have questioned why I am even still doing this. Albums like this remind me why I wanted to in the first place.
I'm not going to listen to music by someone who imprisons and tortures women
Darn.... this isn't available on Spotify. I'm devastated /s Normally I would find this on YouTube or something, but considering I've utterly despised the other 5 Tom Waits albums on this list, I'm going to go ahead and save myself the trouble.
I was 12 when this album was released. It's no surprise it was all the rage with my classmates back then. This is an incredibly immature record. I'm genuinely shocked at how childish he comes across here. Very cringey. I got as far as Marshal Mathers but bowed out with all the homophobic slurs. Shout out to Dido though.
Wow, another terrible British band from the 1970s. Groundbreaking. TWO HOURS of this? Are you out of your fucking mind??
This is one of those albums that I don't consider "bad" but I am definitely not the target audience.
"Whatever" indeed....
