Disco, maar kut

Give someone a keyboard for Christmas and this is what you get

I held out for hope that this was going to be like Daft Punk. It just plain sucked instead. Just Look how awful that cover art is. It tells you all you need to know right there

that's the first one I'd call bad. The songs are the most annoying ever and soooooo fucking repetetive. No, just no. And he's French so it's even worse 3/10(1/5)

I don't like it.

Dude. I thought this was gonna be bad. 3 2 Ok some of this is fucking stupid I take it all back This fucking blows

I found this to be extremely repetitive and annoying.

This is bloody awful.

Oh boy, I gave it a chance but that’s about all I can offer here. For anyone asking, the music is as bad as the album cover.

Turned it off halfway through. I guess this qualifies as music since it's got rhythm and melody (sometimes), but it sounds like something that would be blared at 4 in the morning at Gitmo as a means of some type of psychological torture.

OMFG with the EDM on this list. Before starting this project, I had zero feelings about this genre. It didn't bother me, I didn't bother it. We might even pass each other on the street and nod politely. Now, though? It's war.

Aweful

Nah bro

Early 90's video game music layered with some 80's exerts and samples. In 1999. Come the fuck on... 👾

I'm very sad... I love this style so I was supposed to love this album... but it's quite awful ! I'll return to Daft Punk to clean my ears I guess

Not for me

How on earth did this make it into the 1001 albums you must listen to?

Like the cover. It ends there.

There are half a dozen good beats here, and for most of the runtime I was thankfully not particularly mad. On the other hand, structure is nonexistent and the guest vocalists are trite. A good producer's bad songs are still bad. It's quite an inverted emperor's clothes situation, I suppose.

Sounds like this record got very heavily scratched, broke, and just repeated the same grating noises over and over and again. The last two tracks, Sometimes and Damaged People, were at least somewhat decent but for the most part, this whole thing was just annoying to listen to.

not my cup of tea

First record that's just not my thing at all. Woof. Very rare!

Post disco, 1999. This record feels pretty lazy because every song is too repetitive and hasn't nothing different from other thousands tracks of this genre. The productions aren't good at all and I found them quite boring and uninspired. Also twelve tracks are definitely too many for this kind of project.

This is not a good album, I do not understand its place on this list. It was made well past the height of Synth-Pop and wouldn't even break the top 10 in the genre on anybody's list. And what the hell is Post-Disco. This might have ruined a Buffalo Springfield classic for me. I did not need a 4 minute synth version of it. I do have to give him credit though. He produced some of my favorite albums and songs by The Killers. Luckily this album didn't quite seep into those to have enough effect to make them bad.

Couldn't finish. Not for me.

I think i need to re-evaluate my ranking system. Ive been hesitant to hand out 1's but there seems like a huge gap between a 3 and a 4. If this is a 1 then so is that Lenny Kravits album.

This is music for an early 2000s sega racing game and half of its missing from Spotify so I’m biased

Generally not a big dance music guy. Feels dated too. This is the first album we’ve done so far that I skipped tracks. Not really for me.

Dated badly. Shite

Suena bastante primitivo y básico para ser un disco de electrónica

05/08/2022 Nope. Overlong and way too repetitive for anything to become worthwhile.

This one is a pass for me.

Honestly I thought I was really really going to hate this but I made it mostly through the album, I find it hard to rate these dance albums. Maybe I need to get wasted and dance around to fully appreciate them. Just not for me.

Other than Sometimes, I couldn’t listen to any song all the way through. I just couldn’t.

It's... meh? Didn't mind the start of it, but from Disco to Disco onwards, it was hard to enjoy.

Lame dance electronica.

I am finding this largely just kind of annoying.

"Music Make You Lose Control" has a nice bass line. If I were at a club, high, and looking to hook up, then this is probably really good stuff. But I'm not at a club, high, or looking to hook up.

I would prefer something actually listenable on a Sunday. This ruined brunch.

Wiki shows that Stuart Price has produced a lot of albums for big artists. He should stick to just producing records IMO. This is one of those albums that makes you wonder what the authors of 1001 Albums were thinking when they included this as it really adds nothing new and there's nothing here that we haven't heard before. Propah good EDM bands like Daft Punk don't have anything to worry about here.

Не понравилось

Achei repetitivo demais.

It was a nice enough album to listen to but i found it did not have much depth, so it was almost restful, but not exciting.

Nykyaikaista tanssimusaa.

MotA: (Hey You) What's That Sound? "Don't just sit there dreamin' dreamin' dreamin'"

nope nope nope

Skjønte ikke helt hva dette albumet gjorde på denne listen? Er det så jævla innflytelsesrikt liksom? Aldri hørt om, og hørtes ut som ganske halvhjerta gutteroms-remixer som man finner en milliard av på soundcloud
