I get people hate Kanye, but you need to respect the absolute rip of an album this is. The singles hit, the deep cuts hit, the skits hit. Through the Wire is my 2nd favorite song on the album bc the lore behind it. Last call IS my favorite song because the lore within it. I actually love the story Kanye tells at the end of this song. Family Business I used to put on in the whip on the way to school every AM for some reason it was my jam back then. This album (and most on Kanyes early albums) have been a part of my life for 10+ years. There is so much meta on this album its hard to give it anything besides a 5. Then you get your masters masters. Because yk whats gonna keep me warm at night? Thats right, my degrees.

It makes sense it’s their first album because it has a good amount of room for improvement. But having said that it’s still a great album, but later daft punk stuff just hits different. This album is super repetitive (in a good and bad way). I’m happy giving it a 3.

Looking glass was a bop. Obviously there she (initiates meta) goes always hits. all by myself was sneaky a good song. all in all pretty decent album with some good songs sprinkled throughout

The beats go hard but the rapping is dog meat. Snoop is also highly overrated as a rapper.

I’m a sucker for strong female vocals. She just loves NYC so damn much. nice job here PJ. Giving a 3 since there’s no real stand out stacks but i enjoyed the album. Was NOT expecting Radiohead Thom to drop in halfway thru but was a nice treat.

The highs are high. The lows are low. The album was too long to get a high rating IMO. There is definitely some absolute timeless raps on this album tho

Was pretty excited after the first song (and most of the second song since it basically was still song 1) then nothing else really ripped for me. Was honestly a battle to get thru most of it bc i was not enjoying the sounds of any track. Electricity pierced my god damn ears. Having said ALL of that. Mac miller definitely sampled tonight on aliens fighting robots which was pretty dope to see

The first ever CD i owned was this. My aunt got it for me. Then when I got a iPod i used to bump holiday on repeat at school. This album hits nostalgia factors, but also holds up today (it potentially gets better over time- like a fine wine). Jesus of Suburbia is potentially my favorite song of all time. Seeing them play it live and a bunch of other songs from this album in 2022 allowed me to die happy. No skips, only rips. Whatername i didn’t love growing up but in recent years it grew on me. I’d say the weakest track on the album is the title track.

The content section on wikipedia of this album was a ride. Good album. The songs are different throughout where you don’t get bored. Lyrics are really good. And I like the sound. I love Yes, she is suffering, the intense humming of evil, and faster.

I will admit i did not know the first ever Stones album was a cover album. The songs I knew were worse than the originals so this was pretty rough. I did actually like the only original (tell me). so we’re giving it a 2. If the stones broke up after this album this would not have made the list. I did think the album cover was cool

I know all the popular frank songs, but never really dug into his albums. Pretty smooth album but i did get a little bored by the end. I just imagine being alive when this dropped and having the album run all the way through in a pool bar while smoking a million cigarettes and that sounds amazing to me.

This is the most 3 album i’ve ever listened to. No songs were amazing. No songs were horrible. it’s just a standard 3. (2.5 but yeah)

Was really torn between a 4 & a 5 but settled on a 4 on my second listen thru as I found the second half of the album to be a little weaker (FYI i listened 3 times since this was on the list last week). But god damn there are some bangers on this album right here. I’ve listened to Pictures of You like 50 times since i first listened last week. Lovesong, untitled all ripping. Easily the best Cure album. Definitely will come back to album probably monthly
