From the guy who sings Hallelujah in the Shrek movie comes a whole album that isn't the song Hallelujah. After listening to this album I listened to Hallelujah. That song is great, Leonard Cohen writes beautiful lyrics and Rufus' voice is sorrowful and brings out the heart of the song.

Honestly this is a big pattern I've been noticing, where the instrumentalists are pretty much always solid (punk aside but that's punk) - but band's are often dragged down by subpar vocals. Like I would like this album more if you just stripped the vocals away.

Kind of bland inoffensive pop-rock. I dunno man it's like dad-roadtrip-music or something. Didn't have to be this long. Songs were pretty repetitive so I started skipping to the next one halfway through to make it to the end.
Apparently the last side is pretty much live studio. I like it better. Sounds less sterilized, or maybe I'm just biased to think it is. Anyway probably won't revisit this.

His voice doesn't blow me away but it does the job. Simple arrangements work well for the sad vibe. Overall would listen to again while sad.

I quite liked the first song, but the rest of the album kind of blended together. Overall not bad
Didn't need to listen to this. Not gonna change my mind on U2 after I already didn't like The Joshua Tree. The singles were actually not bad, but the rest of the album was bad.
