Duplicate? Decent album. Nice to get a r&b/rap album for a change. Some good music/beats I don't know what it is about Common, i'm not into his stuff at all but this album just hits right for me for some reason.

I really really wanted to like this album more but beside the big songs, i thought things were just good.

Minus a couple songs (including God Only Knows) i was just waiting for the album to finish. I feel like it's a good album but the style of music just wasn't working for me for some reason. A little disappointing considering I have a couple friends that would live and die on this album.

Some overboard 80's hair metal .. but you just cant deny that 8 out of the 10 songs (for my generation) I knew and are good or better.

Sidewinder sleeps tonight - forgot this song. very good Everybody Hurts - still a gut punch of a song. Lots of history to it for me. Sweetness follows - great opening line. good song OK album over all. Some great classic songs, a couple new ones and ones that didn't do anything for me.

Seconds in, I could tell this was my type of music. Spellbound is a great song Into the light: guitar reminds me of the Police. another great song

Decent rock album.

This one is unfair for me to rate too. With very very slight 80's metal cheese ... this is still an absolute power house of an album. 8 out of 10 songs I still remember most the words to. I'm not even sure if I had this album back then.

I cant say I was expecting anything with this band name and title but it was way better than expected. Especially the first track (Apache) obviously.

Not sure what it was but this was a horrible listen. I think it was just the dissidence in the lead guitar throughout the entire album. It physically hurt my head. Not sure if I liked any song because I couldn't focus past the guitar. :(

I would have rated this album a 3 but the skill of these musicians just shines through. I loved the drums. Hearing Eric's guitars sounds to me like listening to one of the pioneers of later rock ... which of course it is.

There are Steve Earle songs i have known and loved for decades but I do not enjoy country music as the norm. That being said, for some reason listening to this album didn't make me want to instantly turn it off. I'm still giving it a 3 .. but that's high praise for country from me.

Come on. Do we really have to talk about the rating on this? Regardless if you like the music or the artist or the genre or anything about this album. the cultural impact and longevity of it's influence ... it has to be a 5 out of 5.

I obviously knew the band as was interested to see what this album would be like but ... and I hate to say this for any art ... but I didn't like this album at all. It just didn't hold my interest and I didn't enjoy it. Say one good thing? They had good harmonies.

I thought this album would be "harder"

I've gone back and forth on this between a 1, 2 or 3. Broken Heart, which seems like a filler sing might actually be my favorite. However, every song is just a wall of sound. I don't mind that at all but it's almost every song, all song. Listening to this was very tiring on my ears.

I feel like this one is unfair too. I am biased. This was one of the albums that my parents had in their collection when I was growing up. I listened to this album a lot and loved it. 42 street I would say is still my favorite but this one is still a 5 star album.

Such an amazing song writer. To take that voice which is great but monotone and extremely relaxed and still contain such emotion and pull you in to these stories is a great feat.

This album kind of surprised me. That is because her previous album that I listen to on this list. I really enjoyed it even though it’s country. However, I don’t like so much. It was very very country.

I really miss the Unplugged sessions from the 90's. Great set list and feel to it.

Rap albums, where I felt like I was missing out on everything just from a cultural standpoint because I’m not American black. With this album, I realize that that was not the case this album was just so much better than 2Pac or BIG.

I've listened to this a couple times and every time I do I feel like I'm doing it an injustice because I'm not paying enough attention to ever single lyric. It a really well done album that has so much feeling and emotion to it in every song. As I also know a bit about the album and have friends that went through the same thing ... it really hits hard for me. Excellent listen and added to my rotation of listening.

When I saw the name come up, I misread it as Oakenfold. I unfortunately was disappointed.

"Take on me" has 2.2 billion streams on Spotify? DAmmnn. Anyhow, I cant tell if "Take on me" and "The sun always shines on T.V." are just that much better or they sound really, REALLY 80's too. Overall an ok album.

As I listened to the Rock radio station growing up, I'm very sick of hearing AC/DC but there really is no denying this album is amazing. A amazing amount of well known songs for one album. Gezzus ... over 2 billion listens for all the songs on Spotify.

It started out solid and then by the 3rd or 4th song the electric jug just became too prominent for me. It was ok but that jug just couldn't escape my ears as the primary instrument

I love that this brought some thoughtful bluesy rock to the the mainstream. a couple good songs but the rest were just ok for me.

at first glance, the sounds like just plain old punk rock, but the more you listen to it the more complexity creeps its way into the music. I went from “I think I’ve heard the song 10 times in a row" to this is amazing punk music.

I love Metallica and like classical music and the idea of combining the two (like Apocolyptica) is a master [sic] idea. However, i feel like the strings need to be under the original music a bit more. I know nothing and feel bad for making these comments but it just feels like the merging of the two styles is a little off. After saying all that, i still love it.

I wanted to like this but it didn't do much for me at all.

This is a memorable album for me. Not necessarily because I liked a lot of it, there are songs i don't like at all, but the overall feel of it and how it flowed from different styles really make me sit up and take note.

Listening to this album reminded me that I used to put it on when I was a kid (must have been under 10) and so it just resonated more. This already was a amazing album but I enjoyed the fuck out of it. Plus, the 3 top songs just felt better within the album.
