CommonDuplicate? Decent album. Nice to get a r&b/rap album for a change. Some good music/beats I don't know what it is about Common, i'm not into his stuff at all but this album just hits right for me for some reason.
Duplicate? Decent album. Nice to get a r&b/rap album for a change. Some good music/beats I don't know what it is about Common, i'm not into his stuff at all but this album just hits right for me for some reason.
I really really wanted to like this album more but beside the big songs, i thought things were just good.
Great blues album.
Not sure why but I couldn't really get into this
Not necessarily my type of music but listening to this it's just so noticeably how good it is and how great a story teller Joni is. I very much enjoyed the bass in this too
Great over all feel with some amazing songs and sounds.
it's ok.
I wasn't really into this album but I did save 3 songs from it. So it must be ok.
Didn't enjoy this album at all. Just not into it today
Already had this album. Duplicate.
did nothing for me.
Yup, good album
Nothing super exciting about this album.
I couldn't finish this album. It's just exactly the type of music and style I don't like.
meh
Minus a couple songs (including God Only Knows) i was just waiting for the album to finish. I feel like it's a good album but the style of music just wasn't working for me for some reason. A little disappointing considering I have a couple friends that would live and die on this album.
Some overboard 80's hair metal .. but you just cant deny that 8 out of the 10 songs (for my generation) I knew and are good or better.
Astral Weeks - amazing song Sweet thing - very solid song. fun guitar work Cyprus Avenue - fun song The Way Young Lovers Do - really good song. jazzy
Great album
Sidewinder sleeps tonight - forgot this song. very good Everybody Hurts - still a gut punch of a song. Lots of history to it for me. Sweetness follows - great opening line. good song OK album over all. Some great classic songs, a couple new ones and ones that didn't do anything for me.
it's ok
Seconds in, I could tell this was my type of music. Spellbound is a great song Into the light: guitar reminds me of the Police. another great song
Decent rock album.
This one is unfair for me to rate too. With very very slight 80's metal cheese ... this is still an absolute power house of an album. 8 out of 10 songs I still remember most the words to. I'm not even sure if I had this album back then.
meh
meh. Decent but didn't really hold my interest.
Sorry Peter and Phil. As much as I love you stuff, I didn't enjoy this album at all. [shrug]
Classic
Good background music while working.
A fun and "ear enjoyable" listen. Loved being dropped in to the the 1970's political environment (and hating nothings changed in that regard)
good overall album.
classic but not my jam
It was ok. I like Andre 3000s style but nothing overall special for me.
meh
Couldn't get though this one. Fine but [shrug]
The first couple songs were amazing
Amazing album with some 5 start songs on it.
Amazing album. I didn’t realize how good and strong ‘s voice was.
I tried. I really did. Just not into the experimental music today.
i couldnt get into this one
Fun BRIEF album. 14 songs in 16 minutes? LOL ... why does punk get this rep? This album
A couple absolutely great songs ... but after listening to Hysteria last week, this album couldn't live up to that one. Still a solid 3+
An enjoyable ear journey.
Meh. didn't really do anything for me.
Decent music
Not a ton stands out for me but I'm still pulled in to Joni's music. Her vocals and lyrics just keep me involved in every song.
Not my jam. Very 60’s blues vibe though
Nothing resonating with me.
Holy shit. What an opening song. Great feel, great guitar solo. The rest of the album was decent.
the album didnt really do anything for me but i get the significance of this music heavy driving music in 1969
Such a fun listen. I love everything about the instrument
meh. Like metal but this didn't do it for me. Can see it being a big step forward for metal though.
Great music. Great musicians. Great playing
nope
Good album with a couple amazing songs. Beautiful Day and Walk On
I can appreciate the musicianship and skill, but I’m at my jam. Jam ha.
I didn't think I was going to enjoy this but damn it was a great high energy performance.
I don't think this is a 3 but I don't think it's a 4 either. Very good album though. I'll go with 4. Good job me.
I wasn't in the mood for this style of music at all today but it was still a good listen.
it's ok.
I was very much looking forward to this album but the house soon is now album just made this one seem very inferior. I hate to say that
1 great song, a couple ok songs
It was okay. Not a rap fan in general and I wasn't drawn in by the flow style. Some great beats though.
An amazing singer and lyricist but this album was just ok for me.
I don't know what it is, but I enjoyed this much more than I expected.
Looking forward to this album but I didn't really the first 2 song. However, after that I loved the album.
Meh
I already had this album
besides the big songs I know, I couldn't get into this one.
A fun listen.
Symphony for the devil is absolutely a 10 out of 10 the rest of the album OK
Really good background working music.
I cant say I was expecting anything with this band name and title but it was way better than expected. Especially the first track (Apache) obviously.
Not sure what it was but this was a horrible listen. I think it was just the dissidence in the lead guitar throughout the entire album. It physically hurt my head. Not sure if I liked any song because I couldn't focus past the guitar. :(
I'm not a fan of country in general. This album didn't change that opinion
Good background music for working.
Smoooooth voice.
Great lyrics and messages but music and over all feel didn't hit for me for some reason. Still enjoyed the listen.
A couple notable tracks and I was pleasantly surprised by the Prince track but some uninspired music overall
nope
I enjoyed this more than I thought i would for a country-ish type album. She has just such a beautiful voice.
Really good emotional album
Didn't enjoy this at all. sorry
I would have rated this album a 3 but the skill of these musicians just shines through. I loved the drums. Hearing Eric's guitars sounds to me like listening to one of the pioneers of later rock ... which of course it is.
There are Steve Earle songs i have known and loved for decades but I do not enjoy country music as the norm. That being said, for some reason listening to this album didn't make me want to instantly turn it off. I'm still giving it a 3 .. but that's high praise for country from me.
Really good album.
I obviously knew the band as was interested to see what this album would be like but ... and I hate to say this for any art ... but I didn't like this album at all. It just didn't hold my interest and I didn't enjoy it. Say one good thing? They had good harmonies.
I mean ... come on. Great album and fucking incredible bookend songs.
It definitely was listening to something big that happened in history the music. Very simple punk rock very simple lyrics but really fun to listen to
I’ve heard JM’s big songs but I’ve never really heard more than that. I was very surprised I liked this album as much as I did. Great vocals, strong voice, so clear in her singing, interesting lyrics, great music (bass and guitar especially)
I've gone back and forth on this between a 1, 2 or 3. Broken Heart, which seems like a filler sing might actually be my favorite. However, every song is just a wall of sound. I don't mind that at all but it's almost every song, all song. Listening to this was very tiring on my ears.
Great great great album. "Protection" is 10/10
I love the guitar but I also got stuck of it by the end. Good album
Meh
Sorry but I do not appreciate your music. Say one good thing: I’m trying but I don’t know
This album kind of surprised me. That is because her previous album that I listen to on this list. I really enjoyed it even though it’s country. However, I don’t like so much. It was very very country.
Decent album. Nice to get a r&b/rap album for a change. Some good music/beats
I loved this album. Not only were the songs I know (and loved) great but the most of the other songs felt good to me too.
I feel like I've head this album before. It's the 3rd Leonard Cohen album on my list. It was ok.
It was ok but I feel that not being American or black made it so I couldn’t really connect with this album. I wanted to but I couldn’t. So good beats and some decent songs
Decent album but the first and last songs where the only memorable ones for me. The first one was amazing
What’s there to say. Great album. Great music and harmonies. Just great.
AMAZING ALBUM!!!
Not the type of music I thought they were. Heroin !
A really good album. Fucking long!! I’m not sure if I ever heard the song pastime Paradise before it completely threw me for a loop
Didn’t enjoy this at all. Except the “Intro” song was interesting
Very strong album. Tons of great songs.
Decent album
I was enjoying this album but it was just too long for me. It really reminds me of what I felt about some previous rap albums. I just don't get the culture and am not appreciating the work. Good music
Besides the hits, this music just didn't hit with me. Ok, just not my thing today
This was a hit with both me and my wife.
I didn't find anything exciting about this album. Solid but not much holding my attention.
I didn’t listen to the whole thing, but decent chill album
decent album all the way through but just some amazing classic songs.
I really enjoyed this album. And I had problems with connecting to some earlier. Rap albums, where I felt like I was missing out on everything just from a cultural standpoint because I’m not American black. With this album, I realize that that was not the case this album was just so much better than 2Pac or BIG.
Listened to this while cleaning and such. After reading the reviews I feel like I should go back and listen again
Didn't do anything for me
Nope
Good but nothing great
I really liked this album
Varied from inspirational genius, to just bad. Sometime during three same song
Fun Punk
Meh
When I saw the name come up, I misread it as Oakenfold. I unfortunately was disappointed.
FFS .. all those songs were on 1 album! Amazing.
Amazing Album!
A product of their time but holy fuck the first disk is amazing. Great musicians and performers.
good music. Different than what I expected. Different styles (ska, punk, pop-ish too).
Meh. I still don't like country
decent album. I have a soft spot for this band
Sorry, my first 1 rating. Too experimental for me.
I knew Nevermind was a good album ... but fuck. It's a amazing album. I cant remember the last time or ever I have sat down and listened to it in one go. Fucking crackers!
As I listened to the Rock radio station growing up, I'm very sick of hearing AC/DC but there really is no denying this album is amazing. A amazing amount of well known songs for one album. Gezzus ... over 2 billion listens for all the songs on Spotify.
Ok. We get it. You can harmonize. I could never get in to the BBs though.
Top tier album. Great music, great lyrics and singing
I don't know what it is but this album is just not doing it for me at all.
Some really good music here. Snoop and the music steal the show.
meh. Just not feeling it
Not my music at all and couldn't get into this.
I didn't enjoy this on the first listen. I went back and had this in the background while doing some work and I enjoyed it a lot.
I had doubts about this band but over all, really solid music.
Good music but just a little bland
To experimental to me
meh
at first glance, the sounds like just plain old punk rock, but the more you listen to it the more complexity creeps its way into the music. I went from “I think I’ve heard the song 10 times in a row" to this is amazing punk music.
Album didn't do anything for me but I definitely see why it's on this list. The last song though, "Angie" i really liked.
Ok album. Hard to listen to when you've been hearing the best of S&G the whole time
Too experimental for me.
I'm not a big fan of Aerosmith but this album was so well known it was a fun listen. So many huge songs from 1 album.
Meh
Never really listed to Elvis but this album was great. I especially liked "I got a women"
Decent album. Only 1 song memorable though
couple of really good songs and a good album to do work to
It was ok. Really good in parts, ok in others. I really liked "A sailors life"
Solid pop music (from my youth), and Annie has a great voice.
Are we sure this isn't Duran Duran? Meh, didn't do anything for me.
Nothing exciting. Good overall
I couldn't really get into this.
I love Metallica and like classical music and the idea of combining the two (like Apocolyptica) is a master [sic] idea. However, i feel like the strings need to be under the original music a bit more. I know nothing and feel bad for making these comments but it just feels like the merging of the two styles is a little off. After saying all that, i still love it.
A couple great songs that I knew but most songs were just "too 70s" for me. Which is odd because I love the 70s
Yeah, some good songs. THey might G0 s0meWh3re someday.
Not my type of music at all but decent album for sure.
Awesome album. Right up my alley. Adding to rotation.
Sorry but nothing note worthy to this album at all for me. Not even sure why it's on the list. I should go look it up now to see if i'm wrong.
She sure likes to do runs. I didn't enjoy this album at all. Not my type of music at all. That being said, she has a great voice and I 100% understand why this album is on the list. Just don't make me listen to it again please.
Maybe the best album open sound ever. Past that. It was ok-ish.
transitional album for them. Ok album for me. Eleanor Rigby 5 Stars
Not much that held my interest here.
Better album than i thought it would be.
This is a memorable album for me. Not necessarily because I liked a lot of it, there are songs i don't like at all, but the overall feel of it and how it flowed from different styles really make me sit up and take note.
I had this one while working and I get the feeling I didn't focus enough on the lyrics. I think that could have changed my opinion of the album. Still pretty decent.
Damn strong album.
Decent album but filed under this is a massively influential album for multiple genres of music. Great voice and charisma
A fun listen and the woman could sing.
Solid album with a couple of great tracks.
Meh. ok punk rock
Listening to this album reminded me that I used to put it on when I was a kid (must have been under 10) and so it just resonated more. This already was a amazing album but I enjoyed the fuck out of it. Plus, the 3 top songs just felt better within the album.
Good album but not very memorable.
Great album from start to finish!
Fun album. Love Yoshimi
This varies for me from really good to not enjoyable. Overall though .. solid.
Couldn't get through this album
Super solid album. I loved Revolution Blues.
Love Prince. Like dinner of his music. Some great songs on here though and the musical talent is fun to hear on the live tracks.
An ok "3" for me
wasn't sure what to expect here but i was pleasantly surprised. Good album. Sounded like radiohead to me on a few tracks.
Solid album
solid album. Not sure why it's on here though
Meh.
Yeah, sorry. It takes a lot to get me to like country and this isn't it.
A nice storyteller album. Great listen
Music that I feel I should like .. but .. I'm really not
Some of it didn't resonate with me but great music.
An album I know, love and still listen to. Hell, I'm playing it for my kids for them to get to love it also.
Not enjoying this at all. Did it influence anything?
Seriously? You want me to rate this? One of the best selling records of all time. With 3 of the best pop songs of all time and like 5 more really good songs too??? Yeah. …. 5
I swayed from "Ok, I get it." and "Isn't this the same as the last song?" ... to OMFG this is FUN!!!!!
The absolute killer songs. Really enjoyed this album
It's ok. A coupte great songs ... but listening to this. I cant help but think of where he went after this.
Only listened to about half the album. It was ok, i guess. It didn't really hold my interest though.
All the colours of the rainbow listening to this one. One minute I was uninterested, the next I hated it, the next it was decent, then next I was really loving the music, the next I remember what a c*nt he is (mental issues aside), the next I thought it was a great. So middle of the road then.
Ok. Good "in the background" music. I like his voice and how in my ear it sounds on this recording. Besides that, it was a ok album to me. The last song, "Faith/Void" surprised me and I quite enjoyed it.
An album that takes me back to my youth. Great music.
Solid rock music.
I just couldn't get into this album. Not sure why as I really do like this type of music.
Great album. Not sure I've ever listened to this one. I've always listed to the best of or Inuendo or A kind of magic. This was a fun listen.
The first time I started listening to this, I actually was enjoying it. Now in general, I typically hate country music, but this wasn’t feeling me that same feeling. I went back to relisten to it this morning and was not enjoying it at all. I have no idea how I feel about this album now.
Good album overall. Nothing to memorable though
Meh it's alright. I want to rate it higher because I love Numetal but I also want to rate it lower because it's Limp Bizkit.
Great lyrics. Nice grooves. I like it
Amazing live performance. Sounds great. Great energy. I even looked it up on YouTube and watched a little bit there. I knew the name but not the music. So happy this was on the list
As this was only on youtube, it was a pain to listen to. Not happy music but I love listening to emotional music, so i have to go back and listen to it again. Not sure I got a good feel to it the first pass at it.
Meh, it was fine. Nothing really grabbed me though.
It's ok. didn't really get into it and not sure how much i digested it.
Nice relaxing jazz
this is not my style of music. Oh, even though I enjoyed quite a few songs of it, but this album held my attention from start to finish, and I just fucking loved it. The rapport that he had with the inmates was amazing. Love it.
Beside the big hits I was surprised but the style of music it was. More of a beach boys style than I was expediting.
Loved this album
Much better than I expected and way more songs that I knew than I expected. Super solid album for the 80s.
meh.
I enjoyed this a ton. Love her voice and style.
some great songs that I've listened to my whole life. Maybe overheard. Album as a whole was ok.
Not my kind of music so I was not excited about listening to it. I just wanted to get through it .. but pretty much every songs music just pulled me to it. The vocals are OK mostly to me but the experience of the in between parts and the music makes this a really good album to me. I saved a lot of songs. Excellent drum and base.
Another really solid album by DP.
just not my jam.
I really wanted to love this but I just couldn't get into it.
Didn't really get into this at all.
very long album. Ok.
It’s ok. With “maybe I’m amazed” tucked in as the 84th song of the album
Really cool album. I liked the music and radio style
Really cool album. I liked the music and radio style
The man could make music. Another amazing album. Love me some Dirty Diana
The whole album felt like really polished songs. I mean that in a good way.
a much more interesting punk rock sound.
Odd but good album. some great bass groves.
Compression, Compression, Compression! I love this album so I'm biased. The only reason it's not a 5 (not really, i just need to get my dig in) is I cant hear the fucking bass guitar!!!!! ;) "One" is an absolute master piece. Dyers Eve and Blackened are also amazing.
Man, what a fun listen.
I 100% didn't give this the attentive listen that I should have. I saw Fleetwood Mac and got super excited to listen to Rumors and tuned out when it wasn't that.
OMG did I love this album. Amazing. Loved: Piano Joint (this kind of love).
I loved the live album of theirs but this one didn't hit quite as hard. "Child in time" is an amazing song. Album was ok.
great music. very solid album
I didn’t really find anything on this album that I liked. Which is a shame because I love some of their music.
Couldn't really get in to this one. Sounds like '60s
Yeah, this is a full 5. Great rock from start to finish with great groves, rifts, bass lines, and singing. Plus, it was a album that change the music scene at the time. Favs: Rocket Queen, Welcome to the Jungle, Paradise city, Sweet Child O' mine, It's so Easy, Mr Brownstone.
I found this to be a really fun listen.
Not really into SD. Not my grooooove.
Ok. Sorry, that's all i got
Roundabout is a great song and I really appreciate the talent of Yes but I couldn't get into this album at all.
Meh. investing and I love what it started but I just want feeling it
It’s alright
very solid album
meh, didn't really enjoy it.
A little too experimental for me. Best track: We're going to be Friends
Super strong album.
good vibe music. I'll say it, I can't believe how much Death Cab for Cutie sounds like The Auteurs.
Not my jam. Nice smooth voice but .. meh
Over all I really enjoyed this album. Some great rock and a little knowledge added in with "Three great Alabama icons".
It was alright, but really it was "American Pie" that pulled it up to a 3.
Nice in the background while working album
unfortunately this is another example of a Band I really like and they have an album I love front to back .. but this wasn't the album. So the whole time I'm thinking to myself, it's ok I guess but man I'd love to hear those other songs. This album was meh for me.
Great sounding album. I really enjoyed it
nice chill album. I love her voice.
Over all good listen for music that is not my norm.
Lower end of a 3/5 for me. It was ok
Yeah. I couldn’t finish this. I didn’t like it at all.
Solid but not green river
Didn't really get into it
Man. I grew up on this album. It was in my parents collection. I don't think it's fair to ask me to rate this one because it's not just about the music for me. I love love love 1985 & Jet. Amazing songs. As for the song Band on the Run. This has always been a favorite song of mine. From the lyrics, chord progression, changes. It will always be a perfect song to me.
Their big songs off this album; Personal Jesus, Enjoy the Silence and Policy of Truth are amazing songs. I was surprised that pretty much all the other songs I didn't enjoy at all.
Not my type of music at all, being country/folk, but a decent album.
Not sure I've ever listened to this album all the way through. Obviously I knew all the songs but didn't know the feel of listening the songs they way they were presented on the album. Great album.
an Ok album. I'm not sure why it's on the list though. That being said, I love the last song 'Daniella'.
Fabulous album. I was working the entire time on something and the lyrics kept pulling me back to focus on them. Great empathetic messages the still ring true. Very groovy music. Great all around
meh. didn't really do any thing for me
A couple great arena rock songs from my youth. The rest were solid. Very good album
I bet these guys are a blast live. Music was good
This is not an interesting listen for me.
Good listen.
Ok, catchy tunes
some hugs hits on the album but i felt it was just ok overall.
I know this album is probably good but it was another example of not understanding US black culture because i'm not american or black. That being said, i've really enjoyed some of this music. So maybe this just doesn't hit for me because of the simple fact that I don't like it. The music didn't do anything for me.
Sorry I tried, I really did
Some very famous songs but this was mostly just "ok" for me. Classic but so-so
Definitely my type of music but this album mostly was "ok" for me. That being said, "Block Rockin' Beats" is a fucking 11/10!
Meh
As a white boy from canada that doesn't get US black culture... can i just say this album is fucking awesome. Lyrically it still hits, Chuck D's flow is simple and sounds great, Flavour (sic) Flav is amazing, Terminator X's beats are fucking great.
First off, there are some obviously well known song here that I really like. "The Scientist" is my favorite and has been for ages and will be a song I love till I die. That being said, what I found most impressive about this album is that past the songs I know and are popular ... the, as I like to call them, "filler" song are really good too. This is a great ALBUM. all of it.
Decent blues album.
Solid album. Superstition is a prefect 11/10.
I feel bad, i liked the album but I didn't think it was one of the best albums ever. That is what i've heard about it. I think I'll have to go back and listen to it again.
Great album. Great for working and listening.
Fuck me ... what a voice and energy. I thought this would be a run of the mill 60s album but this is HARD bluesy music. I can 100% see why this album is on this list. 1st its a great album with lots of covers but 2nd this feels like a transition record that showed future rockers on how to take 60 music to the next harder rock level. Awesome!
Not sure what to rate this. I'm not a country music fan but I enjoyed this album. The songs that are not the big hits are really good also. Georgia 10/10.
Ok music but it didn't hold my interest
I love everything about this band ... but really I just love the flute solos with quasi-heavy metal rifts. Decent album
Really nice chill album.
The band was super tight, and I like the music but I just couldn’t handle the singing.
Ok album. 10/10 suspicious minds
Meh. Nothing here I found clicking for me
I enjoyed this album quite a bit .. but .. it was odd. Non-of the songs i thought were good enough to add to my "1000 Albums" playlist.
Another absolute amazing album by TSP. I've been floored by all the albums I've listened to of theirs. It's not just they have a couple great songs from my youth on them but the "filler" songs have all been very solid.
Great album
I almost passed on this one because I couldn't find it. I did find it here though https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E1Xd2jY3zWQ. I'm very happy I did finally find it. It is an amazing album. Every part of this album (drums, vocals, lyrics, feel, etc, etc) is amazing. So good!
Very solid album. 3.5
An amazing album. Drummer is killing it, love the sax and the singing is amazing. Love this
Very solid album. Great tight music for a live performance and perfect vocals.
I 100% know why this is here and I enjoyed the music.
I was expecting basic simple 80s dance music. I was blown away by this album. It was very good.
Interesting album that varied from .. yikes white man signing soul when he can't to catchy good 70s music.
Coulnd't really get into this album
meh, it's alright. Higher Ground 9/10
It's only say there are a couple sings that are great but the album is so strong it's a 4/5
Nothing i really got into on this.
Not much that got me involved in this. I'm not sure why. Maybe his voice? Maybe the music just feels calm somehow?
I'm trying to ignore how much i dislike him as a human (BTW, mental health is a very serious problem and should not be ignored) but it's just music I cant connect with. I just didn't like it.
Nope. didn't do anything for me e
Nope. nothing interesting.
nice solid album with good groves and interesting mixing
meh. It's ok.
This was a fun listen. I haven't heard some of these songs in decades. Fun 'turn back the clock' listen
Interesting, and diverse but it really just isn't my jam.
Sorry, this is the type of "country" music i'm not into.
I could imeadiately hear the talent of this music but I didn't really get into it.
A nice listen. Nothing great, nothing bad.
A really good listen. 3+ stars
Some very solid songs here that I enjoyed. This guy is going somewhere with his guitar playing ;D
meh.
Solid fun album
I really enjoyed this album. I think it's a 3 but i'm giving it a 4
nothing memorable for me here.
This one didn't hit like his other one. Still good
Can she sing extremely well? Yes Is she very talented? Yes Can she do runs? Most definitely! Way too much in my opinion (which means nothing). Do I like her music? Not really.
"Brown Sugar" and "Wild Horses" are absolute smashes. "Bitch" should have been a much bigger song the the lexicon of music than it is. Great album and classic album cover.
Alright.
really good album
Very solid album
sorry, this didn't do anyhthing for me.
Great album. Fun listen and some classics I didn't know were theirs.
nice mellow music. It's ok
Not sure what it is about this album but it left a good mark on me.
