Quintessential 90's rock. No surprises but steady beats help the album flow from beginning to end. I felt they saved the best song for last
This album is a party! Uplifting and soulful music from beginning to end. One of the greats at his peak - highly recommend
Perfect album to listen to while needing some groovy tunes to finish some mind numbing work.
Love this album! Great tunes by a foundational group
Easy to understand why this record was lauded as one of the best in the 21st century and won many awards. There is a warmth to songs that don't necessarily reflect the lyrics.
Surprisingly refreshing and creative. I enjoyed the electronic grooves and sounds of the album.
Didn't realize so many bangers were on the album
Always puts me in a good mood- love this album!
Always enjoy listening ing to this one
Enjoyed this chill, uplifting album
Early works providing foundation for career
Can't belive this was their debut album. Perfection!
This album is a party. After listening, it's easy to understand why his style influenced so many artists- It's infectious!
First song was great and downhill from there..
Humble beginnings- great album
Felt like a time machine back to the 70s.
Being made into a Broadway show for a reason
One of my all time favorites
What a range of emotions. I didn't realize the album was a double disc, it seemed to mostly blend together after a while.
One of my all time favorites!
Hold my breath as I wish for death. Oh please God, wake me..
What a way to break into the music scene- Great album!
Sounded just like Velvet Underground. Not a bad thing but just not as original as it's made out to be..
Isn't it iconic, er, ironic don't ya think?
Danceable, fresh beats(at the time) with an attitude. Love it!
Can't help it, if I wanted to.. must give high marks to this awesome album.
I'm now wide awake. No need for the extra cup of coffee, just listen to this!
What a crooner! Lovely voice and dreamt music
Danced my whole way through this amazing album!
Soulful, smooth, and sexy
4.5 Not a huge fan of running, but this album is great!
What I expected but not awful
Instantly in a good mood :)
Fun, creative, and sexy in only the way Janelle Monae can make it.
Felt like a top hits album!
This album fucking rocks!
Rest of the album doesn't live up to the first song (sans street fighter man)
Didn't have a chance to listen fully at this time but high remarks for what I heard!
Many of the songs on the album are still frequently played in 2024 and may be considered timeless as years go on..
Super glad this album is on this list- loving the 80s rock vibes
Their sound is clearly from the early 90s UK push into mainstream radio
Enjoyable on a summer day
Like it's even a question. 5 stars!
Okay. There were some unexpected sauce songs but overall just decent
I knew a few songs beforehand so it felt akin to a movie preview that shows the only interesting parts of the film to get you to watch. Not bad but not amazing.
This album makes me feel like a natural woman.
Love the horns, funk, and fun!
Running up hills? No thanks but this album isn't as terrible as forced exercise
I liked this more than I anticipated! Will listen to them more often
I just never got on the ABBA train but will admit they have some well crafted songs.
So many great cameos and interesting songs. Didn't realize it was 2 hours but I enjoyed it all! If you don't like this album your heart is cold. How cold? Ice cold.
Another great debut album!
Boring Beck- introspective but lacked soul.
Had me grooving only the way beastie boys can do
Felt the punk energy and loved it
Not my favorite Traffic album but still good.
Money is the root of all evil today and the Dark Side of the Moon is one of the best albums of all time.
Primus without the funk that Les Clapool brings..
Instantly in a better mood!
Grooving, dancing, vibing to this album
In heavens name why .. wouldn't this get 5 stars. All love to Sade!
Not worth listening to the whole album
Not worth listening to the whole album
One of my all-time favorites
Different than other albums on this list. Some catchy tunes but it didn't grab my attention or get me to listen more closely as the album played on.
Why is this album on the list?
Rhymes and rhythms smoooooth as butter
Love that this is self-titled "Clit rock".. power to the ladies who rock!
Solid album and easily a go to when I'm searching for something that only Neil can give
Iggy Pop has a signature sound but this missed the mark
Officially spellbound by this album
Iconic. I can hear the colorful vision she had for her career and loved listening to this album!
Wish I liked Tom Waits but I don't.. couldn't listen past the 3rd song
1 decent song.. maybe I'm missing something but doesn't seem worthy of this list.
Biased bc I love prog rock. Dug this album!
I went straight to my record player to listen because it was already queued up. This is a masterpiece and I will fight anyone who disagrees.
More enjoyable than anticipated!
Dancing and singing to songs in the key of life comes easily. Stevie is a master songwriter and performer
Typical for the time. Good but nothing mind blowing
One of my top 10 albums. Part nostalgia, part unique sound, and part creativity. Love ❤️
Joni takes me away to a better place when listening to her beautiful and creative music. Blue is easily one of the best albums created.
Willing to give credit to where it's due and giving this album 5 stars because of the long lasting impact it's made on those who grew up alongside it's release.
Loved the funky yet prog rockiness of the album. Pleasantly surprised
I love Pharrell but not sure about some of the colllabs on this album
Memories abound with this album.
Did not listen out of protest and giving one star to try reducing the average score.
Absolutely adored her voice and patsy cline style.
Like it but didn't LOVE it
If I'm going to listen to the Cure, this is what I'll turn on.
Not a Police fan. Was not persuaded to change my mind after listening to this album.
Waste of my precious time listening to this album. I tried to get in the spirit but it was a fruitless effort. PASS.
Not my fav Radoohead album but better than others I've heard on this list..
Some songs were Zappa-esque but otherwise nothing too special. Wonder what album was booted from the list to make space for this one
Can't deny their greatness!
This album holds a special place in my heart. I know it's not the most groundbreaking in style but there are some good ass songs on this album!
My feeble brain is not capable of describing the beauty and flow this album set as a precedent for all to follow.
Can't think of a more perfect way to capture the reggae spirit and instantly feel at ease. One of my favorite s!
No question about this one: 5 stars. George's heart, soul, faith, tenderness, and unique creative perspective shines through any preconceived notions of "just another Beatles album". RIP George
Mostly bops that are hard to turn off when started.
Okay but not recommending as a go-to album
Another album of it's era (in the best way possible). Love the contrast of vocal harmonies and heaviness of the music. Bless 90s rock
Long time listener, first time caller.. I've heard the singles a bazillion times and expected the rest of the album to be carried by those tunes. I was pleasantly surprised with this album
Giving this album a skeptical squint or sideye.
Wasn't sure what to expect and once again, pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed this album. The flow, featured artists, topics covered - Stellar!
Enjoyed the rock and Queenness of this album
I like Nick Drake's flow and voice, though majority of his songs sound the same.
As many long, strange trips the Dead has taken, was there any doubt how well crafted and timeless the songs on this album have proven to be? No. 5 stars!
Had to keep reminding myself this was from the early 70s because there is a newness feel of this album that was surely inspiration for many artists
I wish someone would ask me to stay for tea and have some fun.. absolutely love this album!
I dont understand the hype of Coldplay
Did not age well though I have to give some credit for it's impact on pop culture
There are songs on this album that live rent free in my head and randomly pop up. Considering their debut album took different styles of music and mashed it together in a way that resonated with ppl worldwide is impressive (even if it's not my go-to genre).
If someone scoffs at Bjork, have them listen to this album. It's creative, primal, beautiful, and infectious.
Jeff Lynn = Musical genius.
Welcome to the jungle, sweet child of mine. Mr. Brownstone wont leave us alone until takie him down to Paradise City. We'll just take the night train and look out for Michelle.
No denying the group defining songs on this album! Great listen
Hot for teaching the younger generation about this album.
2 stars for the 2 songs I liked on this album.
Enjoyable and great use of various instruments!
Standard 90s brit pop sound. Good but not great
Appreciate the punk attitude but still not a fan of this album. Their debut album would've been a better selection.
Loved this album when it was released and still do. Great reminder of how long Jack White has been rocking
Had no idea what to expect and mildly enjoyed it. Probably won't remember the album exists past tomorrow..
Unique voice but all songs really sounded the same.
5 stars despite having to picture "juice" running down Robert Plant's leg while he brings it on home. Thank You will forever be one of my favorite love songs ❤️
I will give credit where it's due for the impact the album made but I won't be listening to this album again.
Title of the album speaks for itself
Got tired of this by the end. 3.5
Outside of Widespread Panic, this is the sound of Athens, Georgia
Okay but add it to the other albums that I don't understand why they are on this list
Great background music when completing a mundane task. Nothing really grabbed my attention
Anything less than 5 stars is an insult.
I dig Bad Company and always surprised by how many of their big hits are on this album.
Sounds like the Beatles so in theory I should like them, but I don't.
This album helped launch JAY Z into the stratosphere in 2001.. 24 years ago. Personally I think he voice is unique but lyrics are not. His expertise is finding and developing talent in others.
