I've always heard of The Velvet Underground as being pioneers/influencers and so on.. what a load of drivel.. This particular album is in my opinion borderline assault and I've heard plenty of ropey music in my time. I really fail to understand how after recording and then listening back to the finished work they had the cahoonies to actually subject the listening world to it.
Nonsense
Had this album on cd when it was first released.. hadn't heard it in ages until it popped up here however many years later, still holds up.. loving it
One of the musical gamechangers.. Brilliant.
There are a few bands I'd like to see reform for that last hoorah.. This isn't one of them..
Shades of the ruts, bits of dead kennedys and a splash of killing joke.. and not a clicktrack anywhere to be seen.. Fuckin loved it.
Elevator music at it's finest
Wasn't sure where this was going for the first couple of tracks, it didn't seem to have any particular direction.. however.. that first few songs aside I think it found itself and became a pretty decent listen.
Dexys doing Dexy things..
Have the live version of this.. gotta love a bit of T.Rex
Nope
One of the finest social commentaries ever. Nuff said.
What the fuck was that....
