Popular Reviews

Kollaps by Einstürzende Neubauten

Some good background music for a haunted house on here. This doesn’t deserve a lower rating than that Scottish folk psychedelic collective BS album I heard the other day. Don’t get me wrong, this is shite, but I didn’t skip 1 track. This has actually got some hilarious stuff on it.

Beggars Banquet by The Rolling Stones

If the album was more like the first track it might be 5. But it’s not so it isn’t. Kinda boring after track 1.

Stephen Stills by Stephen Stills

Go Back Home (track 5) is really good. A few others are good too. But not enough for me to really like. A solid 3.

Next by The Sensational Alex Harvey Band

Naughty. Interesting lyrics lol. Didn't hate this.

Duck Rock by Malcolm McLaren

It’s the Cheetos cheetah performing an after school music special.

Songs Of Love And Hate by Leonard Cohen
Jul 07 2025

He wrote some great songs and the arrangements on this album are good. But man who did he have around him for vocals input? Why did anyone think he should lay these tracks down with his vocals?

This Is Fats Domino by Fats Domino
Jul 09 2025

Had to create a playlist to recreate this album for Apple Music streaming. https://music.apple.com/us/playlist/this-is-fats-domino/pl.u-BqENS1jV119 . Excellent. Terrific music and probably the first ever rock and roll song ever written and recorded? Very cool.

Vol. 4 by Black Sabbath
Jul 10 2025

Very good. Tempted to give it 5 stars after the first track. But a solid 4 stars overall.

Brothers by The Black Keys
Jul 11 2025

I don’t know if any Black Keys albums are less than 4 stars. Solid album.

A Hard Day's Night by Beatles
Jul 12 2025

Not their best. Maybe their worst but still better by miles than anything by The Beach Boys so.

Ys by Joanna Newsom
Jul 13 2025

I finished it. interesting perhaps. Not sure how to rate it though. 1-2 stars probably. Not sure I would ever put it on again. Not for me

Phrenology by The Roots
Jul 14 2025

Very much enjoyed. Starting to rate these albums by “make me dance” factor. 4/5.

Jul 15 2025

There’s a time and place for this music. But not in my regular rotation. His voice is nice for sure. 3/5.

Led Zeppelin IV by Led Zeppelin
Jul 17 2025

One of the best rock bands ever. And this album is one of their best.

Devil Without A Cause by Kid Rock
Jul 18 2025

Would be at least 3 stars if he didn’t come across so phony on just about every track. 1-2 stars. Some are listenable but most make me cringe.

Appetite For Destruction by Guns N' Roses
Jul 19 2025

Best from them? Probably. Sounds like gen x. Rock on. Probably 5 stars - very good.

Wild Is The Wind by Nina Simone
Jul 20 2025

Soulful. Jazzy. Chill and good AF. Excellent.

Calenture by The Triffids
Jul 21 2025

Cheesy, cringey and dated. So 80s (in the worst way). Oh and the singer is almost always flat. Why is it two discs?????

Melodrama by Lorde
Jul 22 2025

Starts out OK ... got better though. Supercut is pretty good and tracks after. Perry good pop album. Was going to give it 4 but when listening again (same day) I decided it's not as enjoyable as I thought it might have been. 3 stars

Band On The Run by Paul McCartney and Wings
Jul 23 2025

It’s ok. Probably better that his solo stuff. Grew on me as it progressed. 3-4 stars.

Black Sabbath by Black Sabbath
Jul 24 2025

Wow. Fitting today since Ozzy died yesterday (RIP). First album from them also one of their best. Terrific.

The Köln Concert by Keith Jarrett
Jul 26 2025

I mean? I’m only 6 minutes in and I already love it. But I’m into jazz. Love hearing new to me great jazz albums.

Crocodiles by Echo And The Bunnymen
Jul 27 2025

Never heard before. It’s ok I reckon. Not much variety though.

Here Are the Sonics by The Sonics
Jul 28 2025

Meh. Not into this old lo fi shit. And enough with the screaming on every track.

Led Zeppelin II by Led Zeppelin
Jul 29 2025

Excellent. What more to say? Oh yea, LOTR lyrics (awesome).

World Clique by Deee-Lite
Jul 30 2025

Don’t judge an album by its cover … don’t judge an album by its cover … don’t judge an album by its cover. It’s dance music. The album isn’t amazing or ground breaking (is it?) or anything. Not sure why it’s here.

Chirping Crickets by Buddy Holly & The Crickets
Jul 31 2025

Meh. It’s ok. History and all.

Vespertine by Björk
Aug 01 2025

Good start with Hidden Place. Cocoon has some Kid A vibes. Pretty solid. Will need a re-listen.

Tres Hombres by ZZ Top
Aug 02 2025

Pretty solid. Southern rock in its goodness - guitar riffs - Rock - Yea man. 3-4 stars

Arular by M.I.A.
Aug 03 2025

Interesting fusion of a bunch of sounds. Not bad. Not sure how it holds up as an album though. 3-4?

Music From Big Pink by The Band
Aug 04 2025

I know I’m supposed to like The Band but I’m very bored by this. Yawn … now I’m reminded why I’ve never gotten into these guys after being exposed to them over and over through the years. Boring.

Hotel California by Eagles
Aug 05 2025

Actually expected to not like this very much - but it's quite good. 3.4 stars? Yea.

Live / Dead by Grateful Dead
Aug 07 2025

Oh cool live at the Fillmore. It’s also at SF? Strange that this is an album as it isn’t recorded at the same sesh. Still good though. Enjoy the jammin. 4 stars.

Strange Cargo III by William Orbit
Aug 08 2025

Not available on Apple Music. Starts off strong …5 tracks in still digging it. Not bad. First time listening (that I know of). 4 stars

Physical Graffiti by Led Zeppelin
Aug 09 2025

In my time of dying might be one of their greatest songs ever. Great album. Longer though. Probably 5 stars.

I Against I by Bad Brains
Aug 10 2025

Yea man. Never heard them before that I know of. Into it.

Cosmo's Factory by Creedence Clearwater Revival
Aug 12 2025

Not bad. Some great songs here. Probably high 3 to 4 stars.

Coat Of Many Colors by Dolly Parton
Aug 13 2025

Solid country/bluegrass album. Great vocals and song writing. 4 stars.

Hot Fuss by The Killers
Aug 14 2025

I’ll try my best to judge this by its merits alone and not that they released one of my favorite albums of the current decade. Still, their very first album rocks. So many bangers - 0 skips - 5 stars.

Grace by Jeff Buckley
Aug 15 2025

Excellent. Too little from him sadly. Great covers in here too. Great vocals. 4-5 stars.

Sea Change by Beck
Aug 16 2025

Pretty good. Maybe not as good as the very similar one 10-13 years later.

Sunshine Superman by Donovan
Aug 18 2025

Yea this is pretty shite. Maybe 2 tracks pulling this out of the gutter. Wanted to skip most though.

War by U2
Aug 19 2025

Little bit of a train wreck from the start. Not good. The mixing and sound is pretty bad. A few tracks are just meh. 2 stars

Aug 20 2025

He’s my bess fren. Yea this is good. I like it. 4 stars

So Much For The City by The Thrills
Aug 21 2025

Why is this here? I mean there are like a thousand indie bands from this era. Why this? Maybe this caught me on a bad day but I cannot stand the vocals. I was leaning towards a 3 (meh) but the last few sent me into dislike (2).

Layla And Other Assorted Love Songs by Derek & The Dominos
Aug 22 2025

Oh wow I thought this was Clapton before realizing it actually was lol maybe I remember this subconsciously from long ago or his voice and guitar is that recognizable. I like it.

Catch A Fire by Bob Marley & The Wailers
Aug 23 2025

Oh yes pretty good.

Now I Got Worry by The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion
Aug 24 2025

I actually kinda like this. My head was bobbin. Raw, punky and fun. An influence on Jack White perhaps? I don’t know but sounds like him a little bit and some Black Keys too. Not bad.

Countdown To Ecstasy by Steely Dan
Aug 25 2025

It’s ok. Has a few moments but not enough to keep me liking it all that much. Just ok.

Green River by Creedence Clearwater Revival
Aug 26 2025

1969 was an impressive year for these guys. An Ok album here. Short but that’s not a bed thing per se. But if this is the best of 1969 then 1970 (Cosmos Factory) is better.

Joan Armatrading by Joan Armatrading
Aug 27 2025

Pretty solid album here. I think I’ve only ever heard one or two of these before. I’d listen again.

KIWANUKA by Michael Kiwanuka
Aug 28 2025

Really good. First time hearing this one. Hard to decide between 4 and 5 stars but I don’t think I love it (yet).

Suzanne Vega by Suzanne Vega
Aug 29 2025

Never heard it before today. It’s ok. Only know her for her supper famous song that came out a few years later.

Dirt by Alice In Chains
Aug 30 2025

Yea man. Pretty pretty pretty good.

For Your Pleasure by Roxy Music
Aug 31 2025

Not really into it. Urge to skip tracks is strong with this one.

Hunky Dory by David Bowie
Sep 01 2025

Changes is such a great song. So many great tracks here.

My Aim Is True by Elvis Costello
Sep 02 2025

Pretty good debut. But why is he considered punk? I’ve always been confused by that. 4 stars

Pretzel Logic by Steely Dan
Sep 03 2025

It’s ok. Nothing here to get too excited about.

The Age Of The Understatement by The Last Shadow Puppets
Sep 04 2025

Very bored by this. Nothing grabbed my attention except for the first few seconds. Meh or maybe worse than meh.

Back to Basics by Christina Aguilera
Sep 05 2025

Actually starts off pretty good. She's definitely got a great voice. Good beats. Might have been 4 stars if it not for disc 2 (strange).

Pink Moon by Nick Drake
Sep 06 2025

Very calming, chill album. Simple and good. I dig it.

Maxinquaye by Tricky
Sep 07 2025

Reminded me of Portishead somewhat. I dig it.

Fever Ray by Fever Ray
Sep 08 2025

It's ok.

Beggars Banquet by The Rolling Stones
Sep 09 2025

If the album was more like the first track it might be 5. But it’s not so it isn’t. Kinda boring after track 1.

Red Headed Stranger by Willie Nelson
Sep 12 2025

A classic. Already had 3-4 tracks starred from this one. Love his voice on this album. So smooth. 5 stars - a perfect country album.

Sep 13 2025

Wow. Other reviewers weren’t wrong. Each song is very repetitive. Perhaps too much. I enjoy some. Repetition drops it from like to meh.

Kenya by Machito
Sep 14 2025

Excellent (so far). On a trip so finding it hard to listen continuously. Enjoy the vibes of this jazz album.

Green Onions by Booker T. & The MG's
Sep 16 2025

Not my first time with this one. I’ve enjoyed it for many years.

OK by Talvin Singh
Sep 17 2025

Yea. I like this ok. Reminds me a bit of this group I used to listen to many years back - ah! I can’t recall their name now. Less Indian but electronic sounds similar and similar vibes.

Let England Shake by PJ Harvey
Sep 18 2025

What is this? Why is it here? Yea this sucks.

Bubble And Scrape by Sebadoh
Sep 19 2025

I’m not a huge fan of the lo-fi thing AND they suck. I don’t know how revolutionary they were - they sound like Primus only way worse. Not quite a 1 since I didn’t hate some tracks. 2 stars.

Siamese Dream by The Smashing Pumpkins
Sep 23 2025

Love this one. One of the best of the 90s - better than anything from Nirvana (sorry not sorry).

Sep 24 2025

This one was not bad. I enjoyed many of the tracks but wasn't totally taken by the album. Some of them sounded like the grateful dead which was interesting. Between 3 and 4 stars - so a soft 4.

Playing With Fire by Spacemen 3
Sep 25 2025

Much too long. If it was only the originals and didn’t include all the remixes and other versions it might get more stars.

Crime Of The Century by Supertramp
Sep 26 2025

This has a few moments. But overall it feels pretty dated and like they are trying too hard. I don’t know … maybe it could grow on me but it’s meh upon first listen.

Debut by Björk
Sep 27 2025

Yea. It’s good. Great debut.

Rejoicing In The Hands by Devendra Banhart
Sep 28 2025

Might have liked it a little more if it wasn’t so long. Also, what’s so special? Why did I have to listen to this before I died? I think I would have been ok had I not.

Woodface by Crowded House
Sep 29 2025

Meh. Pretty boring. Nothing grabbed my attention.

Paul's Boutique by Beastie Boys
Sep 30 2025

I can understand why this album is on a list like this. Having said that, meh. I usually like these guys but I don’t think this album is going to be in my collection any time soon, if ever. Repetitive. Fairly boring.

Brutal Youth by Elvis Costello
Oct 01 2025

Yea man. It’s Costello. It’s rock. It’s pretty good.

Rings Around The World by Super Furry Animals
Oct 02 2025

Yea I liked it upon first pass. Probably needs another listen or two. Never listed to this until today.

Berlin by Lou Reed
Oct 03 2025

Yea not bad. I liked it ok. Probably need a few more re-listens to really rate it properly.

Live At Leeds by The Who
Oct 04 2025

Another live album? Another Brit band? The Brit bias keeps shining through all these picks. Having said that, this didn’t suck. I liked it more than most normal Who stuff. They sound great live.

Horses by Patti Smith
Oct 05 2025

This album was already in my library so I heard it before I died and this list. It rocks.

Next by The Sensational Alex Harvey Band
Oct 06 2025

Naughty. Interesting lyrics lol. Didn't hate this.

Amnesiac by Radiohead
Oct 07 2025

Scanning over all the negative reviews is quite funny. Hate someone cuz they suck not cuz they’re popular or critics really like them. I don’t know if any Radiohead album is less than 5 stars. Prior to today’s listen I thought that this one is their weakest album but after another re-listen damn this is good. If this is indeed their weakest album then damn they are the greatest band ever.

Scissor Sisters by Scissor Sisters
Oct 09 2025

Weak start ... uh oh. First track is annoying. Why is this here? And why is this deserving of a 3 disc deluxe edition? (I'm only listening to disc 1). I don't really like this. :(

Step In The Arena by Gang Starr
Oct 10 2025

Yea man. Early 90s hip hop. It’s good.

Hounds Of Love by Kate Bush
Oct 11 2025

Once again the Brit bias of this list shining through. This. Is. Not. Good. Almost broke my no skipping/listen to 100% of album record. Are all the 5 star reviews listening to the same album as me? I don’t get it. 2 stars since I didn’t hate every track (but almost).

The College Dropout by Kanye West
Oct 12 2025

I never like Kanye but I had never listened to this one. It’s good. Minus the strange, non-sensical lil Jimmy skit track, this is not pretty pretty pretty good. Pretty creative album. But maybe he shouldn’t have hated college so much and tried to learn something back then and he might not have ended up with a brain of mush today. 4 stars.

Slanted And Enchanted by Pavement
Oct 13 2025

It’s ok. I understand that it’s early or first. But there’s better sounds for my tastes.

Nebraska by Bruce Springsteen
Oct 14 2025

I like it. Mellow, simple, good Springsteen

Bright Flight by Silver Jews
Oct 15 2025

K who said the vocals were great? Cuz they aren’t. Except for the backup female vocals which are not prevalent enough to save this. The vocals alone drop this to a 2 minimum. Not good. Actually the more I listen the worse it gets.

The Hangman's Beautiful Daughter by The Incredible String Band
Oct 16 2025

1 star - based on the first 90 seconds alone. Dear god why is this here? I think this is the nail in the coffin of giving up on this shite list. And on day/album 101 :(. Track 1 broke my no skip streak/goal to listen to 100% of the album. Nearly 100% skips. Just so awful

Kid A by Radiohead
Oct 17 2025

One of their best. Do I still need to listen today even though I listen to this all the time?

Neon Bible by Arcade Fire
Oct 18 2025

Meh. I don’t know what it is but I’ve never enjoyed this album all that much. They have better stuff. I liked maybe 1 song here. Maybe not even enough for 3 stars. Hmmmm

Kollaps by Einstürzende Neubauten
Oct 19 2025

Some good background music for a haunted house on here. This doesn’t deserve a lower rating than that Scottish folk psychedelic collective BS album I heard the other day. Don’t get me wrong, this is shite, but I didn’t skip 1 track. This has actually got some hilarious stuff on it.

Veckatimest by Grizzly Bear
Oct 20 2025

Not very good.

Home Is Where The Music Is by Hugh Masekela
Oct 21 2025

An ok Jazz album. Not into it as much as others though. I like the piano parts and solos a lot though.

Sunshine Hit Me by The Bees
Oct 22 2025

Angryman (track 2) was good. But track 3? WTF? Track 4 too - odd. Track 5 instrumental good. Track 6 meh. Maybe a few others were ok. 3 stars.

Oct 23 2025

Not crazy about the first 60 seconds. Took about 4 minutes in on the first track. Pretty good jazz album. Not one of my favorites though. 3 stars.

Welcome To The Pleasuredome by Frankie Goes To Hollywood
Oct 24 2025

Dated and cheesy. Not for me. As it progressed it became more and more objectionable to my ears.

Cheap Thrills by Big Brother & The Holding Company
Oct 25 2025

This is great. All the things I love about bluesy, jammy rock. And I’m ashamed to say I’ve never listened to this album before. 4 stars

Like A Prayer by Madonna
Oct 27 2025

This is peak 80 (which means it’s not good). 80s pop is so dated and this album is no different.

The Gershwin Songbook by Ella Fitzgerald
Oct 28 2025

Love her voice but this way too long and the songs are pretty boring. Decent background music though. Not sure how to rate this or if I can finish it by tomorrow. If you condensed it down to a normal album length selecting the best tracks it would easily be a 4 star album.

Stephen Stills by Stephen Stills
Oct 30 2025

Go Back Home (track 5) is really good. A few others are good too. But not enough for me to really like. A solid 3.

Dare! by The Human League
Oct 31 2025

Oh man. Dear god why? Awful. Is this album the reason 80s pop is so bad? Are they to blame? Nearly unlistenable. This list sucks.

In Utero by Nirvana
Nov 01 2025

Meh. Probably one of the most overrated bands ever. Everything from 90s Radiohead and 90s Smashing Pumpkins is better than this. 🤷‍♂️ . I really don’t like the extra grungy vocals on many of the tracks. Is loving Nirvana a cult? I don’t get it. As the album progressed my rating got lower and lower. During Frances Farmer it got to maybe a 2 I dislike his vocals and the song that much. Definitely not a 4-5 star album for me. More like 2-3. Best part: drums. Worst part: vocals.

Grievous Angel by Gram Parsons
Nov 02 2025

Pretty good. Love the duets.

Boy In Da Corner by Dizzee Rascal
Nov 03 2025

Um starts out a little rough but grew on me for sure.

Ace of Spades by Motörhead
Nov 05 2025

Vocals: 1. Drums/guitar: 4. Repetitive song formula: 2. 4 plus 1 plus 2 equals 7. Divided by 3 equals 2.333. I’m surprised, as I expected a higher rating but damn his vocals wear on ya for an entire album.

Justified by Justin Timberlake
Nov 06 2025

Someone tryin to be MJ …Only one MJ dude. This shit boring and not for me. A bunch of skips.

Blunderbuss by Jack White
Nov 07 2025

Yea pretty good.

Nov 08 2025

Pretty nostalgic. Growing up in a house with Gen X siblings I heard this on repeat from a pretty young age (like 5-7). That opening definitely has the feels. First 3 tracks are excellent. The remaining are mid mostly.

Ragged Glory by Neil Young & Crazy Horse
Nov 09 2025

Music it good but I’ve never enjoyed Neal’s vocals. 🤷‍♂️

Tidal by Fiona Apple
Nov 10 2025

Yea I like this one. Id heard it before but not a lot. I’d listen again.

Traffic by Traffic
Nov 12 2025

Not bad. Surprised that it was as good as it was.

Lam Toro by Baaba Maal
Nov 13 2025

Not bad actually. I like it.

Here, My Dear by Marvin Gaye
Nov 14 2025

I met a little girl - corny and lame. Probably would be a 4 star album if only the lyrics and topic weren’t so dull and lame. Great music and vocals though.

Nov 16 2025

Yea this is good. One I’ve never heard and really good. Thanks.

Duck Rock by Malcolm McLaren
Nov 17 2025

It’s the Cheetos cheetah performing an after school music special.

2112 by Rush
Nov 18 2025

Yea this rocks. I like it.

Psychocandy by The Jesus And Mary Chain
Nov 20 2025

Boring. Noise. Meh.

My Generation by The Who
Nov 21 2025

It’s starts out pretty good. A little corny and dated in spots (i.e. la-la lies) and quite a few are just meh to lame and boring. Favorite track: the ox

Eternally Yours by The Saints
Nov 24 2025

It’s ok. Not an album I’d always put on but probably would have been part of my late teens skateboarding rotation had I discovered them back then 🤷‍♂️

Hot Buttered Soul by Isaac Hayes
Nov 25 2025

Can’t help but hear chef from South Park lol. But good album none the less.

Time (The Revelator) by Gillian Welch
Nov 26 2025

This was pretty good. Maybe not quite 4 stars good.

Elvis Presley by Elvis Presley
Nov 28 2025

I mean it’s Elvis. And a classic from him.

Nilsson Schmilsson by Harry Nilsson
Nov 29 2025

I’d heard this before. Yea it’s good.

Nov 30 2025

Way too dated for me to like. The orchestral and choir sounds are just soooo old sounding. His voice is great and so is his piano when you can hear it.

Heroes by David Bowie
Dec 03 2025

It’s Bowie. Some great songs here. Overall a 4 out of 5 probably.

A Girl Called Dusty by Dusty Springfield
Dec 04 2025

Not bad actually. Pretty enjoyable listening considering how dated it sounds (even compared to 1964).

Elastica by Elastica
Dec 05 2025

Pretty good. Never heard them before.

Queen II by Queen
Dec 06 2025

Yea this is good.

Born In The U.S.A. by Bruce Springsteen
Dec 07 2025

Yea man. Good Springsteen here. Finally some 80s music that doesn’t fully suck.

Street Life by The Crusaders
Dec 08 2025

Reviews of elevator and hold music accurate. Not great Jazz. No idea why this is here. 🤷‍♂️

Harvest by Neil Young
Dec 09 2025

This is probably my favorite of his. Having said that he still can’t sing. With average vocals this might be a 5. With Neal’s? A 3

Basket of Light by Pentangle
Dec 10 2025

Crap. Might have been listenable but for the vocals. I made it through once song fully (sally go round). All others were utterly unlistenable.

Dec 11 2025

Great album for the most part. Was pretty grossed out by the dick sucking skit (those sounds 🤮).

Smash by The Offspring
Dec 12 2025

So nostalgic for me. I really wanted to give this 5 but alas it’s a solid 4. Still very much enjoy this though.

The Band by The Band
Dec 13 2025

I just don’t like these guys. Did not like this and it’s arguably their best album. 🤷‍♂️

Leftism by Leftfield
Dec 14 2025

Enjoyed it.

Sister by Sonic Youth
Dec 15 2025

It’s ok. A little too raw and grungy for my tastes though.

Dear Science by TV On The Radio
Dec 17 2025

This was actually good and listenable. I know I’m shocked too.

Rhythm Nation 1814 by Janet Jackson
Dec 19 2025

It’s ok. Better than many of the 80s albums on this list so far. Don’t like it. Don’t hate it.

Seventeen Seconds by The Cure
Dec 21 2025

Meh pretty boring mostly with like 1 track (the forest) that I sorta enjoy.

Crosby, Stills & Nash by Crosby, Stills & Nash
Dec 22 2025

This is ok. The harmonies are actually quite good. I probably would never choose to put this on though 🤷‍♂️

Elephant by The White Stripes
Dec 23 2025

This is pretty good. I like it. A great opener too. So iconic and recognizable at this point.

The Real Thing by Faith No More
Dec 24 2025

Pretty good. Wow track 3 sounds like a chili peppers song (but better as the peppers suck ). Obviously Epic is super recognizable. Excellent cover of sabbath.

Rio by Duran Duran
Dec 25 2025

This is totally mid. Doesn’t suck. Isn’t great.

Ágætis Byrjun by Sigur Rós
Dec 27 2025

I really like this album. Have for many years. Maybe even love it.

Fire Of Love by The Gun Club
Dec 28 2025

From the era of punk that was probably the best. I dig it.

Frampton Comes Alive by Peter Frampton
Dec 29 2025

Pretty meh to not like so far. The mixing isn’t good on the first half. Also very long. Also another live album that doesn’t deserve attention amongst album albums 🙄. I actually didn’t like this and I liked it too. Some great live songs. Some meh and boring ones too.

Heaven Or Las Vegas by Cocteau Twins
Dec 30 2025

Strong start but in the end gave me high hopes that left me disappointed throughout the rest of the album. Mid.

Rising Above Bedlam by Jah Wobble's Invaders Of The Heart
Dec 31 2025

I fully expected to hate this based on the few reviews I glanced at, the description and the album art. I didn’t though. But I also didn’t think it was great, good or excellent. It’s between a 2 and a 3 for me 🤷‍♂️

The Man Machine by Kraftwerk
Jan 01 2026

Ok so I expected to hate this after the first track repeated its lame self for the 100th time but this ended up being way good. Maybe a 4? Not sure 🤷‍♂️

Modern Kosmology by Jane Weaver
Jan 02 2026

This is ok. I kinda liked it but probably not 4 liked.

Violator by Depeche Mode
Jan 03 2026

Pretty boring. One decently good song. The rest are not good minus a couple of sound effects buried within a few that I liked.

Yank Crime by Drive Like Jehu
Jan 04 2026

This is pretty good. But I have to dock it a star for the vocals and the length.

Oedipus Schmoedipus by Barry Adamson
Jan 05 2026

I like this. Then it’s strange and boring. Then I like it. 🤷‍♂️. Also it gets docked a star for its length (too long)

The Stranger by Billy Joel
Jan 06 2026

I’ve maintained for around 20 years now that Billy Joel is terrible (minus 1 song). This album actually doesn’t suck. Some good stuff here and doesn’t sound super dated like his later stuff does.

Underwater Moonlight by The Soft Boys
Jan 07 2026

This isn’t bad. I thought it might be based on that album cover 😂. But didn’t amaze me.

Winter In America by Gil Scott-Heron
Jan 08 2026

Vocals pretty good. Music good too. But overall not gripping me enough to be good to great.

Africa Brasil by Jorge Ben Jor
Jan 09 2026

Pretty good. Not into it enough to warrant a 4 though.

The Atomic Mr Basie by Count Basie & His Orchestra
Jan 10 2026

Yea this is quite good. Excellent piano too. But overall it got a little boring by the second half and didn’t really enjoy it all that much by the end. Didn’t dislike. But didn’t like all that much either. Album cover is sick though.

Bug by Dinosaur Jr.
Jan 11 2026

Ok to pretty ok at times. But Don’t is a terrible track. That and a few other noise sections might drop this to a 2 for me.

Goodbye And Hello by Tim Buckley
Jan 12 2026

Based on a few reviews I sampled I thought this was gonna suck. But it doesn’t. Good vocals. Music good too. Overall pretty good just not sure it’s “like it” (i.e 4 stars) territory for me.

Dire Straits by Dire Straits
Jan 13 2026

First track sounds like the musical child of Pink Floyd, Bob Dylan, and the Allman Brothers Band. I dig the guitar on the first track. Wild West End sounds a lot like one of their other songs. I wanted so bad for this to be a 5 that I’ve never heard before. Then a 4. But I don’t know. There’s only like 2 or 3 here that I really like. Is that enough for a 4?

Le Tigre by Le Tigre
Jan 14 2026

They’re ok.

Who's Next by The Who
Jan 15 2026

Baba is a 5 star song. And I will always think of Jamie Thomas’s part from Mislead Youth when Baba plays. But what about the rest of the album? The next two are fine. The song is over is 😬 though. Same with Getting in Tune. Not consistently good. Hard to justify a 4 overall for only one great song 🤷‍♂️

Pearl by Janis Joplin
Jan 16 2026

I dig her bluesy groves man.

At Newport 1960 by Muddy Waters
Jan 17 2026

One of the OGs (technically Patton, House, and Johnson are but Muddy is nearly there). Just for what he gave us and who he influenced he gets 4 stars. Plus this sounds damn good for being a live recording from 1960. That would have been amazing to see live.

To Pimp A Butterfly by Kendrick Lamar
Jan 18 2026

One of my favorite rap albums. A masterpiece.

She's So Unusual by Cyndi Lauper
Jan 20 2026

Finally some 80s pop that doesn’t suck. Give me Cyndi over Madonna any day!

Either Or by Elliott Smith
Jan 21 2026

Boring. Terrible vocals. Hate this.

The Poet by Bobby Womack
Jan 22 2026

Not bad. But hasn’t aged well IMO … a little too cheesy for me.

Sound of Silver by LCD Soundsystem
Jan 24 2026

I've listened to this one a lot over the years. Question is, do I love it? Yes. Yes I do. Excellent album. We are North Americans!

Moby Grape by Moby Grape
Jan 25 2026

Side 1 is mid. Side 2 sends this down the drain.

Fifth Dimension by The Byrds
Jan 26 2026

This shit sucks. If I had NOT heard this before dying I definitely would have been better off. 100% shows the shitty bias of the list - this group has 5 albums on this list. And OMG that guitar work is so bad.

Sulk by The Associates
Jan 28 2026

OMG from the first measure I knew I didn’t need to hear this before I die. What a hot mess. This list is so shite. I’m sorry there’s not over 1000 albums you have to hear. There’s probably 100 that you should listen to no matter what and then whatever you like. And then you should probably listen to a fuck ton of classical/baroque/romantic music. Not all these shite UK albums. Sheesh.

At San Quentin by Johnny Cash
Jan 29 2026

I love Johnny Cash and can respect his playing shoes for inmates but I’m not crazy about the recording and set here.

Kenza by Khaled
Jan 30 2026

Strong start and I thought it had a chance. Then it just repeated itself and dragged on much too long. Nah.

Fromohio by fIREHOSE
Feb 01 2026

They sound like REM and then later sound like Grateful Dead. Interesting stuff here and probably needs another full listen from me.

Truth by Jeff Beck
Feb 02 2026

Sounds a lot like Zeppelin which I guess makes sense since they both have the yardbirds in their ancestry and they both cover American blues songs. Not bad. Needs another listen probably.

Let It Bleed by The Rolling Stones
Feb 03 2026

Perhaps my favorite Stones album. Many great songs - opening and closing tracks being my favorite.

1977 by Ash
Feb 05 2026

Nothing impressed me all that much. Perhaps I shouldn't listen to the album of the day while trying to work.

Rip It Up by Orange Juice
Feb 06 2026

Oh what’s this? Another one hit wonder group from the UK? No way I can’t believe it! Like someone else here said, there’s no Tool on the list but there’s like 100 of these. The list is shite (this was album 215 for me). 1 star - terrible vocals. And no, I didn’t need to hear this before I die.

25 by Adele
Feb 07 2026

A near perfect pop album with wonderful vocals. Adele can get it.

Oxygène by Jean-Michel Jarre
Feb 08 2026

I only thought the 2nd half of track 5 was any good.

Since I Left You by The Avalanches
Feb 09 2026

I liked it then I was bored by the repetitions. But I really wanted to like it more. What are you gonna do?

Urban Hymns by The Verve
Feb 10 2026

This isn’t that awful.

John Prine by John Prine
Feb 12 2026

I wanted to like this. But his voice just isn’t good and I found it too long. His lyrics aren’t bad at least. But just a little too twangy country for me.

Feb 14 2026

A classic. Excellent album. Thinking about Adele’s 25 album I rated not too long ago. I gave it a five. If it’s a five then this is too.

m b v by My Bloody Valentine
Feb 16 2026

Wow. This is just awful and unlistenable.

The Fat Of The Land by The Prodigy
Feb 17 2026

This is ok. Might deserve another listen even.

Talking Timbuktu by Ali Farka Touré
Feb 18 2026

Started out good/ok (3 stars) but then dragged on a bit too long and got pretty boring. Might have dropped it a star for me.

Jack Takes the Floor by Ramblin' Jack Elliott
Feb 19 2026

I like this guy but I’m a big Guthrie fan so yea. I think I heard better stuff from him but this one is ok.

The Boatman's Call by Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
Feb 20 2026

Man this kinda sucks. And it’s too cheesy and he can’t sing. A few of the songs are pretty ok though but not enough.

Queens of the Stone Age by Queens Of The Stone Age
Feb 21 2026

Not a very cohesive or solid album. Some cool riffs. But overall mid.

Shadowland by k.d. lang
Feb 22 2026

She has a great voice. Almost enough to bump this up a star but overall the country isn’t all that good. But her voice is great.

Truth And Soul by Fishbone
Feb 23 2026

Somehow this manages to be cheesy 80s (at times) and ska (like mighty mighty mighty bosstones). Not into this. Super skippable.

Born To Run by Bruce Springsteen
Feb 24 2026

I love classic Springsteen. He has better albums though.

Walking Wounded by Everything But The Girl
Feb 25 2026

This is fine. She sounds a lot like dido or something.

GI by Germs
Feb 26 2026

Yea man. This is the mid to late 70s slash early 80s punk I used to love when I was like 18. Raw. Hard to rate - strong 3 if not a 4 ...

Caetano Veloso by Caetano Veloso
Feb 27 2026

Just kind of faded into the background while I started my day and I can't really remember much.

Funeral by Arcade Fire
Feb 28 2026

Their debut and probably their best - at least my favorite from them. So much better than their next one (that was on the list earlier).

Roger the Engineer by The Yardbirds
Mar 02 2026

Has some pretty decent guitar moments. Possibly one of the better mid 60s albums on here (that’s not the Beatles). Could be a 4 upon more listens.

Juju by Siouxsie And The Banshees
Mar 03 2026

Ugh. Couldn’t stand most of this.

Graceland by Paul Simon
Mar 04 2026

Mid at best with come catchy songs for sure. But, the people on here crying about cultural appropriation are hilarious - ship has sailed schmohawks, we're all tired of hearing it.

Arrival by ABBA
Mar 05 2026

ABBA has a few hits here and there that I can stomachs in small doses. This is too much abba.

Hail To the Thief by Radiohead
Mar 06 2026

Love it. One of their more underrated albums IMO.

Hybrid Theory by Linkin Park
Mar 07 2026

It’s funny, this would have been junior year in high school for me but this was not even close to my radar back then. But of course I heard most of them anyways. Cheesy AF lyrics man … I don’t know about this one.

Miriam Makeba by Miriam Makeba
Mar 08 2026

Very good vocals here. Overall kind of boring with a few enjoyable songs. A lot of covers so not really an album IMO but credit for bringing genuine African music to a western audience and bonus for great vocals.

Gold by Ryan Adams
Mar 09 2026

This is a pretty decent album from him but he has better ones later. Too long though.

The Wildest! by Louis Prima
Mar 10 2026

I really enjoyed this. I love most music out of New Orleans though so yea. Might be a 5 ….if the start were as strong as the end it probably would be.

Siembra by Willie Colón & Rubén Blades
Mar 11 2026

This was actually enjoyable. I don’t know if it’s a 4 star album for me but close.

Alien Lanes by Guided By Voices
Mar 12 2026

Nothing of interest. And grating on the senses. I do not care for this at all and never wanna hear it again.

Clandestino by Manu Chao
Mar 13 2026

Not bad. Listenable at least.

Eagles by Eagles
Mar 14 2026

Some enjoyable tracks and a few that I disliked.

Chelsea Girl by Nico
Mar 15 2026

Vocals alone drop this down to a 1-2 star album. Add the pretentious new renaissance style and it drops it even more. Not for me. What a stupid list - shit like this is grounds to leave. This made my wife nauseous and she’s not preg

Superfly by Curtis Mayfield
Mar 16 2026

Nothing grabbed me here. Its just ok.

Getz/Gilberto by Stan Getz
Mar 17 2026

This is ok. Played it a few times while working and it kinda faded into the background. Nothing grabbed me.

Let's Stay Together by Al Green
Mar 18 2026

Al Green is one of the smoothest (except for Donny Hathaway - who is suspiciously missing from this list). This album is t his best IMO but still listenable.

Pretenders by Pretenders
Mar 19 2026

Yea man - some good poppy shit right here.

Face to Face by The Kinks
Mar 20 2026

We don’t need 4 albums from these guys. Why do we need another, lesser Beatles?

All Things Must Pass by George Harrison
Mar 21 2026

I think the best of the solo albums from the Beatles members. But damn why do I remember this being so much better than it is? Have my tastes changed that much since last listen? 🤷‍♂️

Duck Stab/Buster & Glen by The Residents
Mar 22 2026

Shit. But I guess they knew that when they shat it out their asses.

Songs From A Room by Leonard Cohen
Mar 23 2026

I really like his songwriting for the most part. But he cannot sing! And this album is quite boring and what’s up with all that kazoo (or rubber band) sound on this? How did he record all these songs with his voice? And he has 5 albums on this list!

Mar 24 2026

Yea man I dig the late 80s hip hop stuff. This is right there with it.

B-52's by The B-52's
Mar 25 2026

This thing slaps

Stankonia by OutKast
Mar 26 2026

Bombs over Baghdad is a 5 star track … not sure about the rest of the album though 🤷‍♂️. Also love that Chappelle quotes it in his black Bush skit 😂.

You Want It Darker by Leonard Cohen
Mar 27 2026

Much better than expected. The talking voice actually works here unlike his earlier albums.

After The Gold Rush by Neil Young
Mar 28 2026

I know that I’m supposed to like Neal Young and all, but oh my god his voice is so aaawwwwwful. Barney Stinson was right, he does sound like an old lady with vocal paralysis.

Back In Black by AC/DC
Mar 29 2026

I’m pretty tired of these guys these days but I think the blame lies with Apple Music’s algo that keeps recommending them. I think it’s his voice. I’ll try not to hold that against this albums listen. There are songs and some riffs that make this a 4 star album. But it gets docked a star for the vocals.

90 by 808 State
Mar 30 2026

This is a solid 3 maybe a 4 if I gave more time to it.

London Calling by The Clash
Mar 31 2026

Classic. A strong 4. Might be a 5 - a little too long though.

Can't Buy A Thrill by Steely Dan
Apr 01 2026

First half or so pretty good but second half or so not as much. Now that I’m 43 I guess I have to like this now (I do go the most part).

...Baby One More Time by Britney Spears
Apr 03 2026

Obviously this has some catchy poppy stuff on it. Having said that, it’s not for me. A little cheesy.

Surf's Up by The Beach Boys
Apr 04 2026

Their 17th album?! Well can’t accuse them for not trying. Sooo feckin cheesy. Are you for reals - take a load off your feet?? Overall not good but exceeded my very low expectations.

Fuzzy Logic by Super Furry Animals
Apr 05 2026

Mid. Had potential it felt like at the start. But mid for me.

Tapestry by Carole King
Apr 07 2026

I was surprised to learn that these are all originals - no covers. There are better singers singing her songs - making them better. But good songs none the less. Don’t love her voice - but mostly great songs here with few exceptions (cough cough Tapestry cough).

In It For The Money by Supergrass
Apr 08 2026

This surprised me (not that it was amazing). Don’t expect much but I actually liked it more than those expectations.

Out Of The Blue by Electric Light Orchestra
Apr 09 2026

Surprised by this. I have heard maybe half these elsewhere but this album was actually good. Sounds like the Beatles, some Queen in there, and others.

Inspiration Information by Shuggie Otis
Apr 10 2026

Groovy and strong start. But then never goes anywhere. Mid since it did have some decent sounds on the front end.

Jagged Little Pill by Alanis Morissette
Apr 11 2026

I was 12 and I rode my bike to media play to buy my first album on CD with my paper route money. This album has aged like fine wine. Still excellent.

The Rolling Stones by The Rolling Stones
Apr 12 2026

Pretty solid debut. Not too bad considering the year and time and all that. A lot of what feels like covers of Mississippi delta OGs.

Tigermilk by Belle & Sebastian
Apr 13 2026

I can see how this a hipster favorite. Vocals are just too boring and quiet for me. I did enjoy some of the music though. 2-3 stars.

Purple Rain by Prince
Apr 14 2026

Classic from that horny, talented mofo. Still sounds great. And the closing track is amazing. His guitar and vocals man.

Foxbase Alpha by Saint Etienne
Apr 15 2026

No thanks. Boring. Annoying. Tries to go somewhere interesting then just lets you down.

Deloused in the Comatorium by The Mars Volta
Apr 16 2026

How have I never hear of this? I reckon I wasn't around "prog rock" in 2003. Interesting and I dig it. Might be the first 5 (day 284) on the list that I’d never heard before. Solid 4.

Play by Moby
Apr 17 2026

Mid.

Apr 18 2026

I kinda like this. More than their newer stuff for sure.

Take Me Apart by Kelela
Apr 19 2026

Very good album. Actually hadn’t heard of her. But similar to others that I enjoy.

Led Zeppelin III by Led Zeppelin
Apr 23 2026

Doesn’t feel much like an album. Riffing on old blues songs is cool and all but kinda feel aimless and not albumy. Still an easy 4.

Apr 25 2026

Excellent. Of course a classic. Might be a 5 if it wasn’t for the fluff.

Honky Tonk Heroes by Waylon Jennings
Apr 26 2026

I dig most of Waylon’s stuff. This is good too.

Apr 27 2026

This was much better than expected. As someone who loves Joni Mitchell I could hear influences on her here. Interesting. Would likely give it another listen.

Fear and Whiskey by Mekons
Apr 29 2026

Wow. Just wow. Such a terrible start. And it gets worse.

Ready To Die by The Notorious B.I.G.
Apr 30 2026

This is good but not great. I might need to give it another listen. 🤔 but too long and too many skits.

Very by Pet Shop Boys
May 01 2026

This album sucks- has a few sounds here and there that are pleasant but no. This shit sucks.

Blood On The Tracks by Bob Dylan
May 02 2026

I don’t know if there’s a Dylan album under 4 stars. This is solid. Not the best but good. Pretty crazy this was his 15th (and only 1976!).

Throwing Muses by Throwing Muses
May 03 2026

Strong start. But all downhill from there mostly. The pairing of the music and the vocals just doesn’t work for me on every track except the first.

Toys In The Attic by Aerosmith
May 04 2026

Solid rock album with a few classics. I’m judging the music and not the people behind the music guys. It’s like hating on Wagner (who wrote some of the most amazing western music ever) cuz he was an anti-semite and was Hitlers favorite composer. It is possible to separate that from the music. 🙄

Definitely Maybe by Oasis
May 05 2026

Terrible start - and doesn’t really improve much. Is the whole thing just noise? Why was this so big? I don’t get it. Sounds like shit - Who mixed it? 🤷‍♂️

american dream by LCD Soundsystem
May 06 2026

This isn’t at all anywhere close to the first album from them. So much so it might get docked an extra star. Not good. Boring and long.

Pelican West by Haircut 100
May 07 2026

What in the good hell is this? AND it’s over an hour?! Do I really have to sit through this????? 😩

#1 Record by Big Star
May 08 2026

It’s ok.

Exile On Main Street by The Rolling Stones
May 09 2026

Feeling this one is super overrated. It’s like they went back 20 years and stole all the American music from that time and before. Not great. Might dock it a star for the dated, thieving.

The Stooges by The Stooges
May 10 2026

Man I totally forgot about these guys. This thing is good.

Third by Portishead
May 11 2026

I mean, the rip is a classic and has been a part of the rotation for a long while now. But the rest of the album (sans a few songs) isn’t very good.

Stand! by Sly & The Family Stone
May 12 2026

Funkay. And very good.

I Am a Bird Now by Antony and the Johnsons
May 13 2026

Would be good if the vocals weren’t so bad. 2 stars

May 14 2026

Mid to no like. Not for me. 80s pop is very hit or miss. Mostly miss.

Cut by The Slits
May 15 2026

Best part of this album is the cover.

Moon Safari by Air
May 16 2026

Started out a 5 star but couldn’t sustain.

May 20 2026

Strange indeed haha. Sarcastic and at times funny but overall it wears in me and the vocals are just bad.

Snivilisation by Orbital
May 21 2026

This is pretty good. I liked it enough to go look at their other albums and put their most recent one on as well. Pretty good. Probably helped to listen in the car during the commute.

Rid Of Me by PJ Harvey
May 22 2026

Oh I really like her recent stuff from the show Bad Sisters (also great show). Grungy, raw, and it works. I dig it.

Document by R.E.M.
May 23 2026

These guys are good.

Opus Dei by Laibach
May 24 2026

Oh man this is one of the hardest to rate yet. It’s both incredible and incredibly awful. I loved it and hated it. 🤔

Violent Femmes by Violent Femmes
May 27 2026

A classic. And my birth year too (Bonus).

Rubber Soul by Beatles
May 30 2026

This is a solid album from them. Their first really good album IMO. But since Revolver is better this one isn’t quite 5 stars I don’t think. Great though.

The Sensual World by Kate Bush
May 31 2026

Not very good. Her voice is not my cuppa.

Risque by CHIC
Jun 01 2026

Not into it. There’s a reason disco died.

At Folsom Prison by Johnny Cash
Jun 02 2026

Good. Pretty wild the songs and the setting.

Microshift by Hookworms
Jun 03 2026

Actually liked this.

Beyond Skin by Nitin Sawhney
Jun 05 2026

This was actually quite good. I enjoyed it and would allow it to play again. 👍

Different Class by Pulp
Jun 06 2026

It’s alright. Nothing special here.

Jun 07 2026

Probably helped this album’s rank for me as I was traveling through the English countryside on a bus with it playing.

Blur by Blur
Jun 09 2026

Ok. Listenable at least.

If You're Feeling Sinister by Belle & Sebastian
Jun 10 2026

I guess I'm not a hipster - I just don't like them. Find them really boring. Always have 🤷‍♂️

Fear Of Music by Talking Heads
Jun 11 2026

I think this could probably be 4 stars for me with more listens.

Innervisions by Stevie Wonder
Jun 13 2026

Excellent. Might be a 5.

Jun 14 2026

I mean it’s one of their best. But there are a few on here I don’t know about. I don’t know why Within you without you is placed where it is and why it’s even here. It doesn’t fit with the album at all. 🤷‍♂️. A day in the life is an excellent finisher tho.

Bayou Country by Creedence Clearwater Revival
Jun 16 2026

Pretty ok. Short.

461 Ocean Boulevard by Eric Clapton
Jun 17 2026

Some good songs. Nothing special though. Pretty mid.

Dust by Screaming Trees
Jun 19 2026

Unremarkable. Boring.

Pet Sounds by The Beach Boys
Jun 20 2026

I have no idea what koolaid everyone is drinkin. This is one of the worst, most over rated albums of all time. From the first awful sounding note to the terrible, off key vocals and harmonies. It’s like a 10 year old wrote this (not a Mozart). Way too much falsetto (not good either). The lyrics are childish and not deep at all. And arrangements are like nails on a chalk board. I seriously do not get this. The only song that I can listen to all the way through is Sloop. But there’s like 7 boring songs before it. And the album cover is terrible too!

Abbey Road by Beatles
Jun 21 2026

What a pallet cleanser from yesterday's album! (Pet Sounds). My favorite Beatles album (easily). And Side B (Come Together to Her Majesty) is 20+ minutes of probably the best continuous Rock ever recorded. And THAT's and album cover.

Teenage Head by Flamin' Groovies
Jun 22 2026

Meh. Would be a 3 but the many covers and length of the end drags it down.

Rust Never Sleeps by Neil Young & Crazy Horse
Jun 23 2026

It’s Neal young (good songs poor vocals).

Sticky Fingers by The Rolling Stones
Jun 25 2026

Pretty good. Maybe their best.

What's Going On by Marvin Gaye
Jun 27 2026

That’s an ALBUM. Excellent and an easy 5 stars (minus the Jesusy bits).

Happy Trails by Quicksilver Messenger Service
Jun 28 2026

Excellent. Might be a five but for sure an easy 4. Took me down memory lane of all the similar songs I’ve totally forgotten about. I was on my way to some very happy trails while listening too. 🤘

Ramones by Ramones
Jun 29 2026

Oh yes. Teenage me would give this a 5 easy. Wonder what 43 year old me thinks ….theres no denying the impact these guys had on the direction of punk rock. I loved these guys. Album still rocks. And it still charms me. Funny. Dark. Short. Simple.

Iron Maiden by Iron Maiden
Jun 30 2026

Fuckin great. Iron Maiden has become my favorite classic metal group lately. This one does not disappoint and what a debut.

Among The Living by Anthrax
Jul 02 2026

Fast. Metal. This one is hard. I want to give it a 4 cuz it rocks and shreds but it gets a little too much repetitive and tiring too. 🤷‍♂️

The Bends by Radiohead
Jul 05 2026

One of my favorites. Fell in love with Radiohead from this album.

Peter Gabriel by Peter Gabriel
Jul 06 2026

It’s ok. Some good stuff here but not enough.

Franz Ferdinand by Franz Ferdinand
Jul 07 2026

It’s ok. One catchy, good song does not make a good or great album though. 🤷‍♂️

Raw Power by The Stooges
Jul 08 2026

Raw for sure. Ok but not good to great. Definitely some of the earliest punk rock s d super influential on later acts like the Ramones.

Younger Than Yesterday by The Byrds
Jul 09 2026

This isn’t that good. Very dated. How many Byrds albums do I need to listen to before I die? 😩

Want One by Rufus Wainwright
Jul 10 2026

I guess this has been removed from subsequent editions of the book - one thing the authors got right. We don’t have to listen to this. Uninteresting. Boring. Maybe 1 song that was good and his voice shined. 🤷‍♂️

With The Beatles by Beatles
Jul 11 2026

This … is not good. A reminder today why I don’t visit this album like ever. The best song here is a cover of Chuck Berry. 🤷‍♂️. Glad the Beatles got much much much better a few years later.

Seventh Tree by Goldfrapp
Jul 13 2026

Not objectionable. Not special.

Surrealistic Pillow by Jefferson Airplane
Jul 16 2026

This is ok with some hits. But the list is much too over indexed on this era of music. Embryonic Journey is my favorite track here.

Paul Simon by Paul Simon
Jul 18 2026

Some good stuff on this album.

Black Monk Time by The Monks
Jul 19 2026

Pretty bad. Hard to find and even harder to listen to.

The Wall by Pink Floyd
Jul 20 2026

Pretty great album. It’s a commitment though.

Metallica by Metallica
Jul 21 2026

Pretty solid album from them. I like the music a lot more than the vocals - his voice gets old quick. I can dig Nothing Else Matters almost always - great song.

Van Halen by Van Halen
Jul 22 2026

Solid. Have to rate it high as it changes rock guitar. One of the great guitarists.

Little Earthquakes by Tori Amos
Jul 23 2026

Some ok stuff. Some annoying stuff. 2-3 stars. 🤷‍♂️

Fly Or Die by N.E.R.D
Jul 24 2026

Strong start. I mean I like it. But do I like it enough is the question. It’s ok. It’s not bad. But I don’t think I’d ever put it on again. 🤷‍♂️

Odessey And Oracle by The Zombies
Jul 25 2026

This would be a 1 star album but the final track saves it from that fate.

Spiderland by Slint
Jul 26 2026

I like it and I don’t like it.

Tusk by Fleetwood Mac
Jul 28 2026

Great band. Who knew? ;)

Figure 8 by Elliott Smith
Jul 29 2026

I do not like this guy. I do not like his voice.

Thriller by Michael Jackson
Jul 30 2026

Pretty good.

Parklife by Blur
Aug 01 2026

The Blur sucks. Sorry not sorry. 👎. Vocals aren’t good and album too long and not interesting.

En-Tact by The Shamen
Aug 02 2026

Oh man here we go …cheesy AF start … 😬. No dude. 👎. Perhaps if it was just instrumental this would be OK but man the singing and lyrics are cringe. And too long.

Music by Madonna
Aug 03 2026

Meh. Not into it. 👎

Paranoid by Black Sabbath
Aug 04 2026

Classic and one of the great albums. Favorite tracks are War Pigs, Planet Caravan, Hand of Doom. One of the easiest 5s on here.

Aug 05 2026

Why are there 5 Eno albums on this list? Who is he and why should I care? Not for me. Boring and poor vocals. 👎

Aug 07 2026

That was actually pretty good. Obviously super influential period in hip hop and rap. No more gratuitous or violent or misogynist than other albums on here.

Imagine by John Lennon
Aug 08 2026

Meh … man I used to think Lennon was awesome. This isn’t even mid. 🤦‍♂️🤷‍♂️. 👎

Time Out by The Dave Brubeck Quartet
Aug 10 2026

Great record.
