The result when four GOATs come together to make an album that would top the charts of Middle-Earth. Without a doubt one of the greatest albums of all time.
Peak 60s, counter-culture era music. Jim Morrison is a legend for a reason and the real unspoken hero is the organist, Ray Manzarek. Would have loved to listen to them live in a smoky club in LA
Not my favorite cup of tea but a solid jazz album.
Another reason why 90s New York hip-hop is the greatest genre/era of all time (also 70s British rock). First time listening to a Beastie Boys album top to bottom and it was a treat. Did not realize how awesome their production and sampling are and some really beautiful instrumentals throughout the album. A new favorite to add to my list of top hip-hop albums for sure
One of the greatest debut albums of all time. Awesome album to listen to on the highway. Slash and Axl Rose are a legendary duo
Absolute classic, proud to own it on vinyl. My personal GOAT for Soul/R&B. Timeless tracks and the instrumentation beautifully supports Marvin Gaye's vocals
Very cool live album. Some nice hits and good sound overall
Beautiful reggae album. Some tracks with a bit of country/folk influences. Nice change in genres compared to the last albums
Very cool compilation of jungle music. Would listen to while playing a racing game
Some great tracks and some very questionable ones
Beautiful voices and harmonies. Very unique pick and glad I got to broaden my music taste
Not my cup of tea and found his voice kinda annoying. Crazy that this album came out in '79. Definitely sounds like it belongs in the early 2000s
Beautiful guitar and vocals. Some nice jazzy rock tunes and solid album overall
Absolute classic. Lots more variety in sound than I expected. Need to listen to some more Alice Cooper for sure
Once again, not my cup of tea but I respect it
All American album. First complete listen and it was awesome. Many iconic tracks and great guitar and vocals along with some cool electric piano/organ parts
The Smiths have some very underrated musicianship. Johnny Marr is rightfully praised highly but the unspoken hero is the bassist Andy Rourke, who sadly passed a couple years ago.
Wonderful, beautiful album. Some of the best bells/xylophone parts I've heard and Tim Buckley's got a great voice
Classic British punk. Solid rhythm and guitar throughout
One of the best albums from one of the best bands of all time. One of my all-time favorites and I'm glad I got to listen to it again.
Legendary voice with some legendary songs. Great compilation of tracks and solid album overall
Nice Neil Young album. Sound mixing of all the instruments sounded so good back then.
Brilliant album. Really cool sections with the tabla and sitar and a great listen with headphones
Some classics but also not a big fan of Run-D.M.C. I respect their impact and legacy but I'd be lying if I said it was as good as other hip hop groups of the era
Nice indie rock album. First time listening to a full Pavement record and it was on par with others of its genre/era
One of the greatest of all time commercially for a reason. Dr. Dre + 50 Cent such an awesome duo. Great listen during a gym session
I was thinking that this album would work perfectly in Fallout and turns out it is already. The band and backing vocals work so well together. Sends you back to the 50s instantly
Decent folk album. Similar to some Bob Dylan albums I've listened to.
Really cool 70s rock album. Great vocals and bass and guitar are mixed so well
Couldn't find a good copy of it so I'll have to come back to it
Not at all when I was expecting but it was okay. Some forgettable tracks and some really cool ones
Supertramp is criminally underrated. Musicianship is top notch and unique style with the different keyboard parts
The best Doors album and one of the best albums period. Great bluesy sound and vocals from Jim Morrison
Never heard of this band till now. Great punk/rock sound similar to The Clash and KISS. Solid, concise track list and great guitar and vocals throughout
Not sure if it was a coincidence or on purpose but nice little Christmas album with some classics from the Ronettes.
Nice jazz album. Great drums and bass. Good atmosphere created throughout the album
Really solid indie/alternative album. Cool, almost psychadelic keyboard in some tracks and nice vocals and sound
Pleasant folk album, nice acoustic guitar and vocals
One of my favorite alternative albums of all time. So many iconic tracks and peak musicianship throughout the album
This might have been iconic or groundbreaking at the time, but it has not aged well. Mid bars and boring production. Another reason East Coast >>>>> West Coast
Undisputably one of the greatest debut albums of all time. The original Tame Impala with Tom Scholz leading the show. His guitar skills are massively underrated. Lead singer also has some insane pipes and the harmonies with his own vocals is awesome
Never knew this album existed. I like David Bowie but this was just a very mid album. Still got his distinct sound and style but nothing really interesting
Great reggae album. Beautiful tracks and vocals are Bob Marley's vocals hard to beat
Mediocre indie album. Some great guitar and vocals but nothing too interesting
Decent. Morrisey definitely misses Johnny Marr but he still has some nice backing instruments and sound
Terrific album from The Police. Some of the best drumming you'll hear and possibly Sting's best vocal work.
I do like this band but not my favorite album from them. Probably would be better if it were in a loud, club-like environment
Pleasant listen. Not my favorite genre but some good tracks. Nice country-folk vibes and Lucinda has a great voice for this genre.
Pretty ok album. Really good instrumental sections but nothing that really stood out. First real listen to this group and interested to hear more
Great album. Songwriting is next level and the acoustic guitar is some of the best.
Classic album. Amazing vocals and underrated instrumentation especially the bass guitar.
Not really a fan of this type of music but there were some decent tracks. Some corny lyrics and songwriting but tolerable
Nice piano live concert. Some really pretty sections and also some slower, boring parts. Cool album
Bunch of French noise. Leave the real rock to the Americans and Brits. Gojira and Daft Punk carry that country (and some other DJs)
Very average dance/electronic album. Nothing that special besides some cool synths and drums here and there. Daft Punk set the bar too high for French DJs
First full listen to a KISS album. Very distinct sound. Not the biggest fan of the band but okay album.
Fantastic folk rock album. Simply one of the best and most influential groups of the time and feels like a time capsule when you listen to their music.
Sounds like The Smiths with some disco funk. Decent album, nothing too memorable or special. I like the sound of the band and all the instruments but nothing too interesting
Interesting album, didn't know what to expect. Very operatic pop sound and Rufus has a great voice for this style. Some boring tracks but was still a unique listening experience
Decent punk-ish rock record. Reminded me of a punkiervl Rolling Stones. Nice concise track list and quality sound
Some great songs but also some questionable ones. Very similar to The Velvet Underground album, which she was also apart of, and I felt the same way about that.
Mediocre album. Big fan of DJ Premier but this album didn't do much for me.
Great album. Gives me Rush vibes with the great bass and drums and top tier musicianship.
Awesome album, one of the best from The Cure. Such a distinct sound, kind of melancholy with the guitar and bass.
Didn't enjoy this album as much as I thought I would but still has some solid tracks. Another band with a very distinct sound and some absolute classics
I really enjoy The Kinks. Their musicianship is very underrated and they have an iconic sound. Great album overall
