I Am a Bird Now
Antony and the Johnsons1001 vibratos to listen to before you die. The vibrato was so distracting I didn't get much else out of this album. The background music was nice but overpowered by VIBRATOOOOOOOOO.

I appreciate the influence this album had on music but do I need to listen to it again? No, I do not. If I want to hear that much swearing I'll go to a Trump rally about vaccine mandates.
If I had to choose between listening to this full album again or getting waterboarded for 47 minutes and 38 seconds I'd choose the latter. Paper Planes was the only song saving this from 1 star.
I was extremely sober listening to this and I feel like I could have enjoyed it being extremely high. But as such, I didn't enjoy it.
I was enjoying it for the first few songs but by the end, I felt like I was listening to the same song over and over again. 3.5.
I appreciate the influence this album had on music but do I need to listen to it again? No, I do not. If I want to hear that much swearing I'll go to a Trump rally about vaccine mandates.
I initially liked the sound until the 12th song sounded the exact same as the other 11. Got boring pretty quick.
I was extremely sober listening to this and I feel like I could have enjoyed it being extremely high. But as such, I didn't enjoy it.
It was enjoyable enough to listen to but not something I'd go back to again.
Enjoyable listen! Wouldn't mind hearing this again every once in a while.
Damn near put me back to sleep. Had some nice melodies and was relaxing but not a good morning album.
Enjoyable listen. Turns out I knew a few Grateful Dead songs without knowing it!
Short and to the point. Nothing overly memorable but was still a good listen.
Take Five is a classic that I love. The other songs were very interesting listens as well.
I don't do shrooms but would need to if I were to listen to this again.
It wasn't bad but also wasn't good in any way. 2 stars because it wasn't terrible but I couldn't recommend this to anyone.
Top to bottom, great album.
Wouldn't be my first choice but it was a decent listen.
Relaxing and easy listening. Something I could listen to again just trying to unwind.
Really enjoyed the punk vibes from this album. I'm going to come back to these guys for sure!
The orchestration was really interesting. Being French, I had no idea what was going on. If someone wasn't singing, I enjoyed it but when the signing was happening, hard pass.
Give It Away and Under the Bridge are 2 of my favorite RHCP songs. Great album all the way through.
A lot of it sounded the same but at least those similar sounds were nice to listen to. Musically it was very easy on the ears and enjoyable.
Another that wasn't bad, but also wasn't very exciting. I enjoyed Summer's Cauldron and Grass the most.
It reminds me of all the good 90s music without any of the good. If you played this for someone as their first 90s experience they would think all 90s music is bad. It was missing excitement
Classic rock/blues feel to it. Hearing the live versions on the remastered alongside the studio really helps you understand how good they were live.
I do respect what the Beatles did for music but this album, in particular, sounded like a single 30-minute song. There wasn't any variety to what they were doing. Still an enjoyable listen.
Breaking Glass has a great groove. Warszawa was very trippy. All in all just not for me
It was alright but really just made we want to listen to Daft Punk.
I enjoyed the variety in songs. Fun to listen to
It was pretty boring. Enjoyable enough to not skip but having it on in the background nothing really stood out and made me stop and think about it.
Snoozer
There were a few sounds I really enjoyed on this album. Heads will roll and Dull life were my favorites. The acoustics really showed the vocal quality. Better than the other Yeah Yeah Yeahs album.
Ice Cold Ice was great. I was getting some serious BNL vibes from the vocals throughout which is always a good thing.
Great collection of Christmas classics!
I really enjoyed it. Nothing beats American Pie but I still enjoyed Vincent and Everybody Loves Me, Baby a lot.
Can't Listen. Not on Spotify.
It's not bad but it's also not good. Am I better off from listening to it? No. Am I glad I heard it? Also no.
Good voice. Not my style of music. Interesting House of the Rising Sun cover.
Wow, I was not expecting to enjoy this as much as I did. Her voice is incredible and liked every song on this album I think. I'll be coming back to this one!
Quick and to the point. Is it something I'd listen to regularly? No, but I still liked hearing more from The Temptations than just the hits I'm used to.
My opinions of Kanye aside I actually really enjoyed this album. There are a good number of his iconic early 2000 songs on here but as a whole I really enjoyed it.
Her voice is really nice but the album was pretty boring. It didn't keep my attention, just turned into background music.
Guitars are great throughout. Transylvania was an awesome jam.
This made we want to play Fallout again. I've heard Frank Sinatra a lot before but never listen to a full album. It's not really for me but was still enjoyable to listen to.
It was interesting but really wasn't for me. This seems like it wasn't meant to be listened to sober.
It was different but I didn't hate it. Daydreaming made me think of Lonely Island. Wonder if they took any influence from Massive Attack.
The instrumentation was great on every song. The vocals aren't always the most exciting but all in all I still enjoyed it.
I enjoyed London Calling a lot but I don't think I remember any specifics from the following songs. They weren't bad but nothing really stuck out about them.
I really enjoyed it to start but it lost me in the 2nd half. I think other substances would dramatically change my enjoyment of the entire album.
I really enjoyed this entire album. It was really great musically and fun to listen to
I always feel like I should like The Doors but I just can't get into them. It wasn't bad but just isn't for me.
I enjoyed this album much more than the previous Bowie album. Young Americans and Fame were both great listens and overall I enjoyed the entire album.
I got through 2 songs before I started skipping. There wasn't anything exciting happening at all.
😴😴😴😴😴😴😴
I always love Rockafeller Skank and Praise You. I don't think I've heard any of the other songs but I enjoyed the entire album.
Honestly, Killer Queen is a great song but I wasn't crazy about the rest of the album. It wasn't bad by any means but there are plenty of other Queen albums I'd go back to before this one.
Next time I need to get really pumped up I'll be reaching for this album. Thrash metal is usually a little heavier than I prefer but I did enjoy listening to this.
Hall and Oates meets Queen meets the Beatles. I really enjoyed this entire album, easy listen with interesting melodies and the orchestral instrumentation is great.
I think there were some songs on here that I liked but the album was so long I forgot about them before it was over. Way too long. Like, way way way too long. I wouldn't mind hearing a couple of these songs again but I'll never listen to this whole thing through again.
It was a good album and I think listen to the whole thing instead of just standalone songs really helps the enjoyment.
I was really jamming to this album. Probably going to check out more of their music
Very relaxing. Better suited for a spa than during with hours
It was fine. All in all it wasn't really for me and the songs all just blended together.
This album just starts out with greatness. Hotel California, New Kid in Town, and Life in the Fast Lane are some of my favorite Eagles songs. After that, you get a nice mix of classic Eagles sounds. Great album.
Nothing really stood out in this album. Felt like generic 90s music with nothing to set it apart from other 90s music.
Ughhhhhhhhhhh. I don't think I'll ever understand they Coldplay appeal. I just don't think it's good much. It's boring and there is nothing special about it.
Free Bird and Simple Man are fantastic songs. It was really enjoyable to hear other songs that I hadn't heard before.
Turns out I know some Lout Reed songs. This was a really good album all around.
It was fine. No need to listen to it again.
I didn't enjoy any part of this album. Nothing about it interested me or made me want to keep listening to it or come back to it.
A band that can sound better live than on the albums is a rare treat. Cheap Trick is one of those bands. Great songs but it was even better hearing them live.
I enjoyed about 3 minutes of good times but after that, there wasn't really much worth listening to.
Generic 70s music. It was good background music but nothing that great.
This was a fun album.
Good album. Nothing amazingly good but nothing bad. Right in the middle.
It was pretty good background music for working. Nothing overly exciting but some fun beats and melodies in there.
Not my style but it was enjoyable enough.
Still not good. I don't understand the draw to Sonic Youth. Nothing worth listening to on this album
Wow, this one caught me off guard. I really enjoyed this entire album. Would listen to it again.
1-5 were great. Could have done without 6-9. Burn This Disco Out sounded like it could be on a Bruno Mars album, which is a great thing.
Great vibes in this album. I've not listened to a ton of Steely Dan but really enjoyed this.
It was fine. I'm not an Elvis fan but it wasn't a bad listen.
🤮🤮🤮
Great album.
I don't have access to the substances required to enjoy or understand this album.
Very enjoyable listen. I haven't listened to a ton of Paul Simon but I've got no complaints about this album. Wouldn't mind hearing it again.
Decent background music. I don't need to hear it again.
Holy long album Batman. Started at about 8:30 am and took me until 3:30 to get through it with interruptions. It was good but didn't need to be 2 hours long.
I've heard worse albums but I didn't care for the constant dissonance and endless instrumentals.
Pretty good album. Not something I'd come back to every day but it was cool to hear it and learn a bit about this band.
This album was a jam!
She had a nice voice but the music just wasn't that interesting. Not bad but not great either
Amazing album. I don't know if there is anything that could have been done to make it better.
This is not at all my normal genre but I enjoyed this a lot more than I thought. Not something I'll listen to every day but it was a good album.
Easy to listen to but not exciting to listen to.
Not my usual genre but I enjoyed this one.
This was a really good album, reminded me a lot of the Eagles. I'm a little upset I hadn't heard this album sooner.
Reminded me of Talking Heads but not quite as good. Still an enjoyable listen.
I like the instrumentals and the drive most of the album has but honestly, the vocals take away from the songs to me. When he's not doing weird shit I like it but to me it takes away from what else is going on. I know they did a ton for the genre but it's not my favorite metal subgenre.
This was a great album. I liked it a lot more than the previous Radiohead we listened to.
Every great band starts somewhere and in this case, Dave started it all here. Knowing Dave did this entire album himself really helps you understand the musician he is. It's not a perfect album but without this we wouldn't have all the Foo Fighters songs we have today.
It was good to hear some less popular Temptations songs but I think there is a reason they were less popular. Also, Papa was a rollin stone has no need to be almost 12 minutes long. Get over yourself. Very middle-of-the-road album for me.
This was a weird one that I don't need to hear again. I wonder if see the movie would have changed my opinion but as a standalone album I didn't think it was very good.
Great old school hip hop album. Not my usual genre but it's was a good listen.
It reminded me of elevator music with a little extra flair added in. It was good background music but not something that needed active listening.
Not on spotify
It was enjoyable. I liked the instrumental combinations used.
I listened to it but have no recollection of doing so.
I'm sure if I liked country at all I could have some appreciation for this album but I just hate the twangy vocals and the songs we're very boring. The song tempos felt like he was trying to avoid a speeding ticket.
This album left a lot to be desired for me. The drums were pretty much the same on all songs, not much variety there and the vocals aren't overly exciting either. Some interesting guitar parts but that was about it.
Snoozer. Very bland
This seems like a great album to listen to if I was chillaxing with a brew and some bud on a sunny day outside.
It was fine. Nothing I disliked. Shout and Everybody wants to rule the world are the best songs on this album for sure.
Amazing, nothing else needs to be said.
After the first 2 songs, I thought I'd enjoy this album some but it got so repetitive. There wasn't anything interesting in any of the songs.
This was a great listen. Love Santana's guitar.
While there are some very offensive lyrics and ones that haven't aged super well, I still really appreciate his rhymes. Early Eminem will always hold a special place in my heart.
This was a really good album. I haven't listened to a lot of White Stripes but really enjoyed the whole feel of this ablum.
Enjoyable album. The vocals were really nice but there wasn't much variety I felt between the songs. By the end it felt like a pretty one-note album but I still enjoyed it.
It was fine. Pretty generic sounds and wasn't really that entertaining. It reminded me of The Who a bit but not as good.
It wasn't bad but got repetitive really fast. I don't need to listen to it again. 2.5
I was jamming to this entire album.
Back to unenjoyable Radiohead. Nothing really of note on this album other than I didn't care for it.
I don't think I had enough drugs in my system to enjoy this one. There was just a lot going on and in some songs and it was almost overwhelming. I'll stick to Band the Drum All Day as my fill for Todd Rundgren.
There isn't a bad song on this album. 57 minutes and 23 seconds of greatness.
Some parts of this album I enjoyed but other parts kinda went off the deep end. Overall it was a good album but not something I need to go back to.
Great album all around.
The Ramones have a classic sound that's easily recognized. I think what saved this album was its length. There are a lot of similar-sounding songs on this album so if it were any longer it would have got too repetitive. All in all, it wasn't bad.
Nothing too complex but some nice harmonies. Not my cup of tea but enjoyable nonetheless
Get over yourself. This isn't an album that needs to exist. Release it as 3 albums if you want that many songs. No reason to waste time on this.
I see no reason why I needed to hear this album before I died. In fact, I'm probably more upset that I heard it before I died. That's an hour I could have spent listening to something good.
I've never really got into The Beach Boys that much. There isn't a lot of variation between songs. Wouldn't It Be Nice, God Only Knows are classic songs and I liked Sloop John B. All in all it's a good album but there isn't enough variation to keep me interested for the entire album.
It was fine but wasn't very memorable.
Ace of Spades is a good song but I didn't really love any others. Not bad but I don't need to hear it again.
Wow, this was extremely underwhelming. I've heard of Thundercat a lot but had never listened to any of his solo work. This album convinced me I've been missing nothing. I was actually bored listening to this album.
It was fine. In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida is good for a bit but christ it's long.
Classic 90s grunge sound. Wasn't my favorite but still an enjoyable listen.
A little too folky/country for my taste but I still enjoyed listening to it.
What in the name of hard drugs did I just listen to? Another album I'm not sure why I needed to hear. EXPLAIN WHY THIS ALBUM IS IMPORTANT TO ME!
This was an enjoyable listen.
Epic is a great song and I enjoyed the cover of War Pigs. Didn't really need any of the rest of it but it wasn't bad.
You've got to be in the right mood for this album but this came up on a day that I was in that mood. Great album. Love the intensity of it.
Other than being way too long I actually did enjoy this album. I'll probably never go back to it but it was good background music while working.
Not on Spotify, 3 stars
I liked all the parts where there was no singing. I couldn't stand the guys voice but really enjoyed the instrumentals.
Easy listen. Nothing that really stood out to me but it was good relaxing background music
I was enjoying it for the first few songs but by the end, I felt like I was listening to the same song over and over again. 3.5.
It was good. Sounded like other Black Sabbath which isn't my favorite but still a good listen.
Meh, it was fine. A little too much country vibe for my enjoyment and I didn't really find it that interesting.
It was a relaxing album to listen to. Not my go-to but still enjoyable. 2.5 stars but I'll round up.
Love the instrumentals but the vocals get tiring after a while. 5/5 for instrumentals but Ozzy's vocals really don't do it for me.
I really enjoyed this one. I'll be the first to say I think the Beatles can be overrated but this was a fun listen.
It was fine. I didn't realize when it was over so it wasn't exciting enough to keep my attention.
Bang a Gong is a great song. The rest was enjoyable but not something I'll go back to.
Pretty repetitive but still a fun listen.
Wow. Wow, wow, wow! I've heard the popular songs off this album but I've never listened to the entire thing and holy shit was I missing out. Amazing album all around. I loved every second of it and I'm a bit sad I'll never get to experience that first listen again.
I do enjoy Starman but other than that the rest was just alright. I think I'm missing something with the David Bowie love. Really just not for me I guess
Black Dog and Stairway are obviously amazing songs but this entire album keeps pace with them. I have no criticisms. 10 out of 5 stars.
It was fine. Not a fan of the vocals for most of it which really overwhelmed some of the songs.
This album started off pretty good. I did enjoy the first 2 songs and then it kinda went off the rails. If... was way just weird and then it was downhill from there until the last song. I did enjoy parts of that but then he had to go and make the lyrics weird. Not something I need to come back to and not one I feel like I needed to listen to. Nothing from The Divine Comedy belongs on this list and nobody can convince me otherwise.
Fun listen.
TIL Dire Straits is from the 70s. Always thought they were 90s for some reason. Either way I really enjoyed this album. Sultans of Swing has always been a song I liked but the rest of the album had the same feel which I enjoyed.
I really enjoyed most of this album. Come on Eileen is a classic but the rest of this album supported that song really well.
It was fine. School's Out is obviously well known but a pretty dull song IMO. Nothing really bad about it but nothing to write home about. 2.5 stars
I must have missed something listening through this. It wasn't bad but nothing screamed out that this should be on any all time list. Seemed like an 80s synth-pop album to me.
This album got erased from my memory as soon as I listened to it. I think it just blended into the background so much and I really don't have anything negative or positive to say about it. It exists, I listened to it. Middle of the road.
It was fun to hear some early 90s west coast hip hop. Not my usual genre but the beats were fucky AF. 3.5 stars but I'll round up to 4.
It was fine. Not as bad as some of the other Bowie albums. Still just don't understand the hype.
All I can think of is Toy Story when I hear Randy Newman. Interesting political commentary throughout but overall there wasn't much variety in the songs. Still a decent listen but nothing I'd recommend.
This was a pretty fun listen. It was pretty flat all around when compared to later Ska music. Sounded like something you'd hear in a lobby or grocery store. Not something I'll come back to but enjoyable enough. 3 stars.
Not on spotify.
His whiny voice just ruins it for me. It's like nails on a chalkboard to me and I can't get past it to hear anything else. What did he use to counter the whiny voice? A high-pitched harmonica that was even more ear piercing. Not for me.
Experimental music isn't meant to be listened to sober IMO. Thus, listening to this in the AM wasn't a good experience. Lot's of sounds with not much substance. Before I realized I wasn't really paying attention anymore it was over. I guess if you need some sounds in the background this could be for you.
Love Bad Moon Rising. The rest of the album was decent but nothing out of this world. Still enjoyable. 3.5
Easy to listen to but not overly exciting.
I've listened to very little 2Pac and really enjoyed this. Loved the feel and groove of it.
This was a really interesting album. Loved the feel and flow of the album. 4 stars
Meh
1001 vibratos to listen to before you die. The vibrato was so distracting I didn't get much else out of this album. The background music was nice but overpowered by VIBRATOOOOOOOOO.
I don't think I liked this album but I also didn't dislike it? Vocally it was very flat, with not much variation between songs. There were some interesting lyrics but I don't think I'll ever listen to any of these songs again. 2 stars
Great album all around. The complexities of some of these songs is really impressive to listen to. Would definitely come back to this. 4.5 stars.
California Dreaming is a great song but the rest kinda just blend together. Not my cup of tea but still enjoyable to listen to. 3.5 but not good enough to round to 4.
This was a fun one. I really enjoyed this. Not my usual genre but great listen top to bottom.
Great blues album. It was really fun to hear this as a live performance as well.
I'm not sure what about this album warranted being on this list. It wasn't a bad album but I don't think there was anything groundbreaking in it. It was nice to have on while working though.
Banger, Banger, Banger, Meh, Meh, Meh, Meh, Meh, Meh, Meh, Meh.
About as in the middle as you can get. I enjoy her voice and she's fun to listen to but I think there were too many fluff songs on here. Maybe if some of the songs hadn't been included I would have enjoyed it as a whole more.
All in all a pretty good album. A little slower at times but it was enjoyable.
It wasn't good and it wasn't bad, it just was.
After Blister In The Sun I was just annoyed by the vocals. I couldn't take a full album of that. Really thought I'd enjoy this more but it just didn't do it for me.
It was fine. Some songs had a good groove but not my cup of tea.
Good album. Was pretty fun with it being a live album from so long ago.
Meh, nothing of note other than it was nice and short.
Really wish we had half stars. I enjoyed this but not quiet 4 starts for me. I've not listened to much Aerosmith beyond the hits so this was fun to listen to. 3.5 Stars.
I'm still waiting for the "Oh that's why everyone loves them" moment for me with The Beach Boys but this wasn't it. Every song sounds the same to me and I find myself bored very quickly.
I didn't enjoy this. Songs sounded too similar and I didn't like the vocals.
He has a very easy to listen to voice and the music really complimented that.
This caught me off guard, I really enjoyed this. Unique instrumentals and his voice were almost eerie at points, which I really liked. 3.5 stars.
This was very different. I actually thought it was pretty interesting how things were explained. Enjoyable listen from an educational standpoint.
I think if this album was a little shorter I might have enjoyed it more. Overall it wasn't bad but not quite my style. 2.5 but I'll round to 3.
Wow! Wow wow wow. That's all I can think to say right now. Amazing album. Loved the vocals and feel of the entire thing. I will be coming back to this.
This was a fun swing/jazz album! Brought be back to my high school jazz band days.
This was a fun listen. The instrumentals were really enjoyable and I liked the variety that came throughout the entire album. I felt like I never knew what was coming next.
There wasn't anything interesting about this. It was just noise to me.
The Queen Is Dead and so is this album. I would have been more entertained looking at a dead queen than listening to this.
While this was a good album I don't think it lived up to the other Zeppelin albums we've had. I still really enjoyed it though.
She has such a unique enjoyable voice. I wish there were so more up-tempo songs on the album though. It was putting me to sleep by the end with slow song after slow song. Still a good album but needed more variety IMO.
Nah, not for me. I'm a fan of post-hardcode but the more modern take on the genre. I can appreciate what was needed to get where we are but I don't need to listen to this again.
It was fine. You can hear where some later heavier bands got some influence from this new style which was cool. Maybe if I heard this in 1968 I would have had my mind blown but it just felt like a more barebones version of newer metal and heavy rock.
What a terrible voice. I have no desire to ever hear Tom Waits "sing" again. The poor man needed a Ricola or something. Hard pass.
I had a little more hope for this album. It was good but the rest of the album didn't live up to It's the end of the world as we know it. Still a good listen and I do enjoy their sound but the rest of the songs were just alright.
This album is just a shitty cover band. What a waste of and hour.
This was good and Ella Fitzgerald has a great voice but a little more variety would have made this album better. Still a good listen.
I've not heard much Beck other than the really popular songs. It was a pretty chill relaxing album. Not something I'll come back to but still enjoyable. I wouldn't mind this as background music in other settings.
Good song writing but not overly catchy and nothing I'll come running back to. I enjoy Simon and Garfunkel but this album was on the boring side for me. Still a good listen.
Background music. It was fine for that but I don't need to listen to this again. 2 stars
It wasn't bad for a country rock album. But how was this different from any other 80/90s country rock album or some guy playing at a random state fair? This didn't belong on this list. 2.5 but I'm rounding down.
Enough Brian Eno, not good
I've never listened to this album straight through and doing so was a great experience. I wish a world existed where could have seen what Kurt could have made while still having Foo Fighters. I suppose I should be happy with what Kurt gave us and his influence is still present in so many good bands today.
I was excited to see this come up as I haven't listened to The Black Keys much. For me, this album didn't live up to the hype. Songs started to blend together and I was just waiting for it to be over by the end.
I might have enjoyed this live if I was in prison with nothing else to listen to. This had the opposite impact for me, felt like I was in prison and couldn't escape.
Another good background album. Enjoyable but nothing jumped out at me though.
This was a fun album. Not my usual genre but I really liked the feel of the album and was entertained the whole way through.
I appreciate what The Rolling Stones has done for music and their influence on others, but this was a middle-of-the-road album for me.
This one was weird for me. I tend to think I like Alice In Chains but I think what I learned is like them in small doses. Individual songs I liked but as a whole, I was sick of them by the end. It was still a good album but the vocals started to become a drag by the end.
Pinball Wizard is obviously the high point of this album but I liked the whole flow of the album. I'd enjoy listening to this all the way through again. It was good but not quite 4 stars good.
This was about 30 minutes too long the same sounding songs. There wasn't enough variety in it to keep my interest. That said, it wasn't bad so I'll give it 3 stars
I found the title track but couldn't find the album. The song was fine.
Good rock feel for this album. I enjoyed the listen but it's not something I'll come back to. Nothing really stood out that made this more unique from other albums around the same time.
It was good. I wasn't able to sit down and really listen to the lyrics so that might have changed my opinion some but it was a good listen. Not something I'll come back to.
This was a great listen. Really enjoyed this entire album. 4 stars
Overall I enjoyed this. Classic sounds and good harmonies. Went off the rails a few times but I didn't mind it.
Classic 90s sound. It was fine overall. There is a reason 2 of these songs we move famous than the others.
I was grooving to this entire album. Loved the organ. Very enjoyable listen.
If this could have kept up with Sympathy for the devil this would have been much more highly rated for me. Unfortunately, after a great starting song, it sort of faded into the background for me.
What an awesome voice. Not all songs were available but the ones that were I really enjoyed. 3.5 but rounds up to 4.
Pretty boring vocals that faded into background music quickly. No business on this list.
I enjoyed this quite a bit. The bass lines were awesome and I found myself just grooving while working. I will admit, I wasn't listening that attentively but it was enjoyable to have on while working.
This was a good album. I've not listened to much of Kendrick Lamar other than the most popular songs. I could have done with a few less N words but other than that I did enjoy the listen.
This was a fantastic album. What a great voice and great songwriting. I don't know how this album could have been better so I've got to give it the coveted 5 stars.
I enjoyed this more than I thought I would. I liked the variety and the overall feel of the album.
40 minutes of sounds. I'm not sure if this was innovative for the time and that's why it's included here but there wasn't really anything that stood out about this album. It wasn't bad but wasn't good.
I enjoyed this a lot. Good rhymes and flow to the album.
I can appreciate how this album influenced other bands but as a standalone album, I didn't think it was that great. If this was my first experience with punk I think I would have written off the genre altogether.
Did not listen.
YELLING AND LOUD NOISES!!!!!!
The instruments didn't really stand out and the roof of the mouth peanut butter vocals really didn't do it for me.
This was a top-tier album that 100% belonged on this list. I enjoyed this from top to bottom. I'll be coming back to this!
This for sure won't be in my normal rotation but I really enjoyed this. The mix of Indian and electronic was a really interesting combo to listen to. Great background music for work.
This was pretty middle-of-the-road for me. It wasn't bad but I'm not sure what situation I'd want to listen to this album again. There were parts that I really enjoyed the feel but as a whole, it was just kinda there.
This was a decent album with some classic 90s hip-hop sounds. I enjoyed Mr. Wendal but everything else blended together.
This was pretty good background music. Can't say it really drew me in as I wasn't paying that much attention but as background, it was pretty good. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone though and don't really see a reason to listen to it again.
If the rest of the album could have been half as good as Take on Me we would have easily had a 4-star album. Unfortunately, it falls off pretty hard after the first song.
This was a unique album that I enjoyed listening to. Lots of variety and very much not something I'd normally listen to but I'm glad I did
This had a fun bluesy feel to it but ultimately it wasn't overly exciting. Relaxing listen but nothing groundbreaking.
I guess for a first album it was fine but this is way below the quality I expect from Pink Floyd. I have no desire to listen to this album again.
If I had to choose between listening to this full album again or getting waterboarded for 47 minutes and 38 seconds I'd choose the latter. Paper Planes was the only song saving this from 1 star.
I was actually a fan of this album. Certainly not one of the best albums for the 60s but it was a fun listen.
The instrumentals were good but the vocals left a lot to be desired. It's like the wanted the 90s sound but as flat and unexciting as possible. I little disappointed in that since I feel like with better vocals this could have been a great album.
Much better than the first The Stooges album. This had some good late 60s early 70s sounds to it that were enjoyable.
This album exists. That's about all I have to say about it.
Pretty middle of the road but I do enjoy the laid-back feel of Steely Dan. Great for a nice sunny day with a cocktail on the patio
Fun from start to end!
SOMEONE PLEASE EXPLAIN TO ME WHY PEOPLE LIKE SONIC YOUTH!!!! It's just annoying sounds that make me angry that I'm wasting my time listening to it.
Ya'll got any of that chest voice? Instrumentally I like the feel of it but I was completely over the falsetto by about the 3rd song. The parts with out vocals were great, but the falsetto just becomes too much. I'm really torn on this rating because as much as the vocals annoyed me, I still really enjoyed the overall feel of the album.
Did people know Joni Mitchell was so good!? I can't say I've listened to much or any Joni Mitchell before but this album was great. Top to bottom, I loved it all.
I love Paul Simon's voice and musical style. This is just an enjoyable album from start to end.
Fun reggae vibes. I don't think there was anything that really jumped out at me other than the fact that we're still fighting this stupid battle of legalizing a plant.
I learned "We're going to be friends" is a white stripes song. Other than that it was standard White Stripes. Not bad but not amazing.
This album exists. There isn't much else to say about it.
Snoozefest
I thought I would like this much less than I actually did. Was it an album I'll come back to? No, but I didn't hate it.
This was a pretty relaxing album to listen to. It faded into the background pretty quick for me but I did enjoy it. Wasn't enough to hold my full attention but still a good listen.
I really enjoyed this album. Relaxing to listen to and I just really enjoy Simon & Garfunkel's sound
This was a surprising gem for me. Knowing nothing of this band I really enjoyed this. It gave me strong movie score vibes.
There were portions of songs that had an interesting sound and feel to them but overall I found this album pretty boring and one note. No song stood out more than the others.
This was way too boring and way too long. There is no reason for this to be on this list and the listen counts agree with me.
I can respect what Elvis did for music but his voice just doesn't do it for me. It just feels flat and boring.
I feel like this album had some good commentary in it but it wasn't delivered as well as other similar type albums. Didn't really hold my attention and it sounded like canned background beats.
I enjoy The Police every now and then. By then end of the album, I was a bit sick of the vocals though. Not enough to hate it but I can only handle so much Sting. Still a good listen though.
I absolutely love this album. There isn't a song I don't like on here. There isn't any fluff in here, it's just great song after great song.
I thought this was going to be a great album after the first song but nothing else really held up to that. It was pretty standard 60s rock for over an hour.
There were parts of this album I loved and parts I hated. I don't know if I've been this polarized on a single album before. The instrumentals in Sex Machine and My Brain were rocking but some of the vocals were repulsive. I guess 3 stars since that's right in the middle of Love and Hate.
It was good. The 60s rock/pop sound does get boring/repetitive to me after a few songs but as far as that goes, this album was better than others. 3 stars.
This was a pretty enjoyable album. I found myself just sitting back and jamming along with this.
This was a fantastic album. I've heard a few Carole King songs but never a full album straight through. What a great experience.
There were sounds. So I guess that constitutes an album.
This was a good hip-hop album. Good social commentary mixed with exciting and fun samples/beats
Meh, it was fine. I guess 3 stars, it wasn't 2 stars bad I don't think..?
There arent many albums I can point to that really set off my love for music but this is one of them. There probably isn't an album I've listened to more in my life than this. RIP Chester and thanks for everything you did for me and music as a whole.
I actually enjoyed this more than I thought. I was caught off guard a bit until I read what the album was. Being a rock cover of a piano suite it worked much better than it should have.
This album worked well as background work music. I found myself just jamming along.
Wow, this was a boring album. If this was all I had heard of Madonna, I would have said she wasn't good at all. Just not good.
What a fantastic album. I've heard the big songs but this is my first listen straight through. The album started very strong but didn't keep that up the entire time. It wasn't bad by any means but not as good as the first 4 songs until Saturday Night's Alright. This is a very high 4 if not a 5.
I'm a bit surprised by how much I didn't enjoy this. Everything felt really flat and there wasn't much variety from song to song. Wouldn't recommend this album to anyone
Fun listen to Dr. Dre's first album. I don't relate to the album but I can still enjoy it and appreciate it's influence. I always love a good Snoop Dogg appearance anywhere I can find it.
Meh, Scooby Snacks was kinda fun but that's about it.
Good 60s sounds. I enjoyed the vocals but ended up zoning out through the last part. Wasn't amazing but I wouldn't mind hearing it again
Ugh, I just cant stand Billy Corgan for more than 1 song in a row. 2 hours of him singing was an extremely painful experience. I do like the instrumental but his voice just ruins it.
It was fine but a lot of it felt pretty flat to me. Not sure if it was an intended sound or just that it hasn't been remastered but that took away from it for me. 2.5 but I'll give it a 3
Not my usual go to but this was a fun album/artist to find and I enjoyed it a lot!
What a fun album. Love the whole thing!
What a great blues album. Loved the whole thing!
Good 90s vibe. I woudn't say it would be a top 90s album in my book but was enjoyable.
Why do people like Depeche Mode? The vocals are painfully boring and the instrumentals are typically pretty flat and boring. I can't understand the appeal.
Amazing album. Not a single critique from me. It's fantastic front to back.
It's good. It's the Beatles. I respect what they did for music but I get bored before the albums are done. I'm just not really a huge Beatles fan I think is what it comes down to.
The Number Of The Beast, Run to the Hills and Hallowed Be Thy Name were all great. The rest weren't quite as good but still enjoyable.
This album exists. That's about all I have to say about it. Not bad, not good. Just there
This is a really high 3, almost a 4. I really enjoyed the old school hip-hop feel of the album and it portrayed it's message well without jamming it down your throat. It would have been a 4 if there was a bit more variety between the songs as they all started to blend to get a bit after an hour. I still very much enjoyed it.
The The seem to have put as much creativity into their music as their name. Generic 80s sounds. No standouts here. Wasn't bad but I didn't need to hear this album.
What am I missing? Most Radiohead that I hear I just ask myself "Why does this band exist?" This album would be best paired with watching grass grow.
Love the flow and lyrics of Ice T. From top to bottom it was a great Hip-Hop album pointing out problems in society. It's upsetting hearing how much of that is still true today. Overall I did enjoy this album.
Great album!
Holy shit this was boring. I wouldn't listen to this album again if I got paid to do so. Amnesiac, Noun 'a person experiencing a partial or total loss of memory' Sign me up for this to remove this album from my memory.
If the album could have kept with the quality the first 3 songs had it would have been 4 stars. Just What I Needed is great but it tripped on it's face and never got back up after that. Still a good album but it could have been better.
This is hard to review. Lana's voice is great but the songs started to blend together a bit. I think some more variety would have really helped the melancholy vocal style feel more dramatic if it wasn't in every song. Still a good listen but not something I will come back to.
Pros: The album was under 35 minutes Cons: Everything else about this album
Boring
This was a really fun listen for me. Loved hearing the live recording. That said, being 2+ hours I don't see myself coming back to it. I'll just listen to the studio versions of the songs.
This was a really relaxing album. I was able to just have it in the background while concentrating on other things and I felt like it worked well. Not a normal listen for me but I was pleasantly surprised by this one.
Incredible voice, great album!
Smooth relaxing vocals with good musical accompaniment. Some songs started to blend together but it was an enjoyable listen.
It was weird but in a good way.
This was a pretty boring album. Nothing stood out between songs. Vocals sounded good but didn't keep my attention.
This album would be the same experience with my speakers muted or not.
PJ Harvey is lost on me. I'm not sure what I'm supposed to feel from this album but if annoyance is it, I guess it's successful.
What a way to start a day. At least it can only get better
Meh
Yuck
It's 80s. It has synth. I enjoyed it but it also wasn't anything very special.
A fitting title would be "An hour of sound". At least that'd give you the expectation that it is just sounds and not really music..
It was fine. His vocal range is pretty boring but hearing the live banter made it more entertaining for sure. Not something I'll listen to again
Clint Eastwood is great but the rest of this album doesn't live up to what I enjoy about Gorillaz.
This was fun but longer than it needed to be. Some of it sounded like hotel lobby music.
Holy Harmonies Batman! This is far from a genre I typically enjoy but the musicality of this album cannot be denied. Masters of their craft and there's nothing else to do but sit back and enjoy.
Good pop synth sound. I didn't listen to the french version, ain't nobody got time for a double album, but the first side was a fun listen.
This sounded undeveloped and wasn't very entertaining. Not sure why this needed to be on the list.
Like the previous Beck album, this was a decent listen but not something I need to hear again.
It was fine. Sounded pretty juvenile with the talks about blasting in the face and swearing that adds nothing to the music.
Enjoyable and relaxing
Did we generalize all of the late 80s/early 90s female pop music into a single album but remove all the exciting parts? Yes, yes we did with this snoozefest. Nothing worth listening to on this.
Very middle of the road.
What a fun album! Great musicality all around.
This was a really good album but overall I don't think the entire album lived up to the level of Immigrant Song. While I enjoyed it the middle section of the album started to blend together a bit. Out on the Tiles was a fun song in the middle though. All in all it was a very good album but needed a few more really good songs to be a true 5 star.
This was a pretty good punk album. I'm not entirely sure why this needed a place on this list as nothing really stood out to me much. Perhaps it was ahead of it's time, who knows?
I didn't care for this. It was boring and the vocals really didn't sound all that good. Every song was the same.
This was a great listen. Really good background music and made me feel like I was relaxing in an old jazz club.
Solid album. Each song held up with the others and they meshed together well. I wouldn't listen to this straight through again but it was still very enjoyable.
Relaxing with a good feel. Nothing really stood out from other albums in the same time period.
I try not to say albums suck because I typically believe there is something in the music for someone but this album sucked. There wasn't anything good musically about it and it was just dissonant annoying sounds for over 30 minutes
This was a fun album. I really liked the Iron Man cover, very unique.
When a debut album is better than any album other bands release you know the band is good. This was about as good as you can get for a debut album.
Good voice but I got really sick of the style by the end. I think it's just a personal music preference that I don't enjoy it.
While really long this was a very good album with a lot of variety. I enjoyed every song on it but I feel as though this would have been better as separate albums instead of a 2 hour long album.
Generic 90s hip-hop sound. Nothing really stood out and I was pretty bored listening to this album.
Meh, nothing really stood out here for me.
Miles Davis is great. Solid album and a fantastic listen
Falsetto R&B gets really old after a few songs in a row. There wasn't enough variation in this album to keep my interest.
It was fine. Gave me generic 60s vibes. Nothing really stood out but it wasn't bad.
This was a weird album. I'm not sure why it needed to be included on this list. The very small number of plays this album has tells me it hasn't reached many people. I don't think they are losing out much by not hearing this.
I was excited with R.E.M. came up but this album was a bit underwhelming for me. It doesn't really stand up to other R.E.M. music IMO. It wasn't bad, but left some to be desired.
It gave me christian rock vibes. Like Switchfoot but more boring. Wasn't for me.
It wasn't as bad as previous Brian Eno but I still don't do enough drugs to enjoy this.
I couldn't get through it. This album was disgusting. You can be yourself Kate Bush but I don't want any part of it.
This was some top-tier Latin jazz. Every song was truly enjoyable.
It's Bruce. You know you're getting the peanut butter on the roof of your mouth vocals and similar sounding instrumentals.
Parts of this album gave me Weezer vibes but not as good. It wasn't a bad album but it was very middle of the road.
Unoffensive and middle of the road 90s sound.
You only need to listen to 20 seconds of a song at that gives you the sound for the entire song. Waste of time to listen to. It doesn't belong on this list at all.
They are an iconic female R&B group and as far as the genre goes this is a very good album. That said, I was pretty bored of a lot of the same sound by the end. Still a good listen and Waterfalls is great.
I was shocked to learn this was a 2011 album. I thought this was straight out of the psychedelic rock era. Great songs and under 40 minutes makes for a great album.
This was a fun listen. Stevie just has a way with the grooves that is pretty unmatched.
Love the early 90s hip-hop sound. Public Enemy has such an iconic sound and the mix of hip-hop backgrounds and guitar is great.
This was a pretty fun electronic album. Not all songs were available but I was dancing along while listening. Some songs needed a bit more variety but I think that's part of the genre. All in all, it was a good album but nothing I would recommend so anyone.
This album is not meant for the sober mind. Pretty similar-sounding songs throughout and not much really stuck out other than Sunshine Of Your Love.
I don't think I realized the first song ended before the album was over. Snoozefest for sure with no variety at all.
Relaxing to listen to. Nothing over the top but a good voice.
This was a weird album. It wasn't bad and I'll give it credit for uniqueness. I won't come back to this though
I can't really put into words why I didn't like this but something was just off about the album.
I do enjoy jazz but this one was a bit off the rails at times for me. Impressive musicians but the compositions as a whole were ab it to crazy for my taste.
The parts I enjoyed were because they were other songs. There were some good beats but the album was way too long and didn't do it for me.
An entire album of Queen songs I have never heard and they are all great. What an awesome album!
Fantastic album. Rush has such a distinct sound and this was a great cohesive album.
What a weird but also surprisingly good album. There was a lot of variety which sometimes turns me off to an album but these songs all seemed to work well together.
I don't enjoy U2. The vocals, while iconic just don't sound good to me.
I don't listen to the music of pieces of shit.
Is it vulgar? Yes. Does that make me like it any less? No, no it doesn't. Love the early 90s west coast hip hop and Snoops flow is so fun to listen to.
This was really cool to listen to. Not something I would ever thing to check out but I'm really glad this was on the list.
This was a good album but was simply too long. I thought I was on the last song and checked and there were still 4 songs left.
This wasn't enjoyable to listen to. Too long and I didn't care for the singer
This album was good. It was too long though. I was worried at first I was getting over an hour of disco so it was a relief that it wasn't disco.
Top tier jazz album.
The live album was fun to listen to. Good jazz vibes and enjoyable vocals
It's Bob Dylan's whiney voice. You know what you're getting. I really wish his voice wasn't like it is. I just tune out the lyrics because I don't enjoy the vocal styles and I think that makes me miss out on the lyrics a lot. Musically it's a very good album.
Terrible
Not my cup of tea but I can appreciate this album. Good harmonies and song variations that kept it interesting.
Classic smooth Marvin Gaye vocals are always enjoyable to hear.
Good beats but it felt really unpolished. Ladies First was the highlight for sure. It felt like a more complete song than others on the album.
If you're only going to listen to 1 Michael Jackson album this would have to be my recommendation. So many good songs on this 9 track album.
This album didn't keep my attention. Before I knew it the album was over and I didn't really remember much of it because my brain just tuned it out for an hour.
I'm not even sure what I listened to but this was an interesting and fun album. I'm usually turned off by albums that have too much variety but this one did it right. 3.5
This was a weird one but in a good way I think. I'm still not sure exactly what I listened to but I didn't hate it. I won't come back to it but I'm glad I heard it.
I'm not sure if this inspired other artists and that's why it was included on the list or what. It was fine but nothing in here really stood out to me to make this a must listen album.
Instrumentals were good but I didn't like the vocals. The didn't add much and were often more distracting that impactful to the songs. Still wasn't a bad album but nothing outstanding here in my opinion.
Unique and funky! This was a fun listen with some good beats/vibes.
Classic Duran Duran synth sounds. Good songs and a nice concise album where all songs brought something to the table.
Sounds like the vocal tracks and 'instrumentals', if you can call them that, we're recorded separately and then they just put it together and didn't listen to it. This album is a war crime.
Great blues/rock album. Loved the covers and sounds of this entire album.
This was pretty good background music.
Didn't do it for me personally.
It was a very different-sounding punk album for sure. I did enjoy the listen through but don't need to come back to it.
I tried, I really did, to get through this album but there was just no way that was happening. This was the musical representation of a meth head with a knife running straight at you. The only thing to do is run away as fast as you can.
I get what he was going for with the sound and topics of this album but the music just didn't pull me in. I was longing for each song to end.
I wanted to like this because the idea they were going for is cool. The rap/rock combo is fun but none of the songs really did it well. Good idea, not well executed.
Great feel to this full album. Enjoyable and relaxing. Roll me a joint, put this on and I'll be in a great place.
Nice voice but I felt like I was in a chain shopping center or mall.
This was a great album. Stevie has some great hits but the songs I hadn't heard before were also very enjoyable.
Freedom! '90 was great but the rest didn't really live up to that song. The rest was full of good vocals and instrumentals but really wasn't for me. Still enjoyable though.
This is for sure one of the top albums from this era of hard rock. Top Tier
This was some good background work music but it isn't the Daft Punk music I truly enjoy.
I'm glad I didn't live in an era where this was good or groundbreaking music. Pretty boring album that I have no desire to listen to again.
I enjoyed this more than other Beatles music, to be honest. I usually find some of their more popular songs boring by today's standards. While I am still not a huge Beatles fan this did help me appreciate them more.
The album cover was the best part of this album. It wasn't bad but can someone please explain to me how this was something I needed to hear?
Kings of Leon has some good songs but none of them were on this album.
100% background music album. Nothing stood out enough to make me want to actually listen.
