Lively blues album with some classics. The audience sure approved!
Not sure what to expect. I need to relisten but was nice
The second song N word refrain, so not what I’d like to listen to but this is a great album otherwise
Nice disco!! Halston, Gucci, Fiorucci…💎
I much prefer Blackheart Man by Bunny Wailer.
Not a bad album though.
Very nice! IMO, it gets boring & a little monotonous after awhile though.
I totally missed out on the Madchester scene.
Saddens me. Oh to go back, to relive those days, the 90s, and not fuck it all up.
Ugh. I know this album is widely lauded but I found it a bit monotonous.
I also hate Eric Clapton.
California bland.
I was not impressed. These are Irishmen obsessed with SoCal.
Been there. Am there.
Mellow. Some great tunes on this that I assume was his solo debut?
I believe I listened to his album frequently when it came out. I only recognize the singles here though.
It’s hard to listen to because she’s not singing; she’s venting. Sounds crazy & snotty.
Album of its time. I miss the days. 💧
I should probably read all the lyrics. Nice listen regardless.
I feel more cultured & smart now
I like BUT when you have 2 big hits on the album I pretty much don’t care about anything else on the album.
Very 80s. It gets boring. Seminal album though.
This is a weird album. I read it it was supposed to be, fractured, schizophrenic.
Doesn’t lend itself to repeat listening imo.
I remember never being a club person, dance music.
I remember individual songs, fun songs, happy songs.
As a whole album, not fun. Monotonous.
New to me, must research this. I dropped out of life for a long period.
Loved it, will repeat listen.
At the first listen I thought, Ideal beach music listen!
I googled up. Nope, they are indie Liverpoolians. Very nice yet not very memorable. I probably won’t relisten. Their earlier album, Water Pistol has a higher AllMusic rating.
Shack doesn’t seem to have any further releases since 2006.
I found it monotonous, sorry.
Bless your soul though, Fats! Never, never forgotten 🦋
Same vibe I get from his father’s work.
It’s nice to hear Sandy Denny again. I preferred the folkier sound songs.
I was around when they first broke out, never heard, never listened.
Can’t really now either. The squalling vocals, can’t do it. Not for me, best to you, guys. 🇦🇲
New to me. I’d withdrawn from like around 1996.
Enjoyed enough I queued up the sophomore album.
1996 happened when I was there but had largely retreated from life—for unfulfilling connection & romance.
So I missed later Soundgarden & Elliot Smith.
I’m not overwhelmed by Elliot Smith. Introspective with a whispery voice. May listen again, dunno. The only one’s the really rested on me was the Tom Waits. What does that say about me?
Sounds dated, not sure what year this one was released. 2000. Now I know!
New to me. I’ll keep it on rotation.
New to me. Mellow & I bet you didn’t know it’s ENGLISH!
Sounds so dated now. Scottish group, missed them first time around.
More listenable 80s to my ears.
I remember these days. I’d gotten excited he’d been saying it was time to let up on negative life choices…
Which didn’t last long. God read him though, gone way too soon.
Nice surprise though my only go-to for trash metal was Anthrax
This left me cold. It’s got great reviews so needs another few listens.
Started nice but ended up getting bored. I’m not a fan of guitar noodling.
Loved! Will keep on rotation!
Nice enough. It does sound “southern”.
Dream pop from 2010, the age I was living in a cave. Or think so. I like it. Need to investigate more.
Made me sad. This is the kind of music I’d like to make, only…shit voice. 🙁
Masterpiece. I knew it on first listen.
