Singles are up there but the rest is gratuitous filler
Not my type of music but decent to listen to on a run. First part was good but second just seemed like vocal porn which didn’t age well. Use of “o, daddy.”
Boring. Maybe two good songs but no energy in a lot of the album.
Inoffensive and easy to listen to. Perfect background music when guests are around.
At least it was short
Good easy listening music
Decent but not my style.
Long winded - a few good songs but the double album is tiring to listen in full.
Tails off very hard and was just waiting for it to end.
Started off well but by the end became very depressing.
Doesn’t sound good now looking back after the person Ye has now become. Lyrics seem to be hitting out at a lot of people which scream a fragile ego
Nice and quick, just not my sort of music.
8/9 songs are boring
Boring.
Thought it was getting better at one point but then it only dragged on further
Something that would be on at your nan’s house
Sure her voice is great but just not my sort of music
Went on forever with no real highlight on the album
Progressive crap.
Got better as the album went along but that’s not saying much
Couple of good songs but long winded
Might be just because it’s jazz but every song sounded the same.
Loves to mention the moon.
Trying to remember the album a day later to review and can’t think of any memorable song.
Another album where no song stood out
Rich person singing about troubles. Album was about 20 minutes too long as most songs began sounding the same
Terrible. Just terrible.
Pretty middle of the road stuff. Had enough to keep it interesting but there wasn’t any standout tracks.
It just kept on going. Ryan Adams has no need for a nine-minute song.
Good background music at best.
As you listen to this think about all the fantastic albums you’ve heard that didn’t get onto this list.
A couple of good songs in the first third but falls off a cliff for the rest of the duration.
An album that is of its time where most songs have the same sound. Albums that make this list should be able to stand the test of time and still sound fresh but this one falls short of that. A couple of good songs though to make it two stars.
It was going to be two stars but any artist that records a track like ‘Aumgn’ and thinks “yeah this is a great piece to put out there” deserves a one star. ‘Aumgn’ and ‘Peking O’ are especially excruciating.
By the end it all just sounded the same.
Unfortunately her voice just makes every song sound the same. It became background music after the second song
Reminds me too much of 30 Seconds to Mars and I know this came first. Could not get on with the vocals.
When there is actual music playing it isn’t half bad but these prog rock albums seem to extend their playtime by having tens of minutes of just hitting random notes or making noises which add nothing to the experience.
The last 20 mins got weird
All sounded the same on this one unfortunately because generally Marvin Gaye is usually a good one.
Could’ve done without the 8min Trainspotting at the end of an already overlong album. Only highlights were Medication and Motörhead. Having said that, Medication was too similar to their earlier hit “Get your rocks off” and the other is a cover which tells you all you need to know about the album.
